Speaker 1 (00:37):
Oh, we're going to talk about face and hair exactly. Wow.
That sounds interesting, it is indeed, let's get started, then,
let's do it.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
We've got hair red hair, brown, black, blonde, gray and platinum, freckles,
scar starsh dimples, wrinkles, short hair, long hair, bald, sideburns, beard,
(01:16):
straight hair, curly, wavy braids, bun, fringe, ponytail, plaits, pigtails,
and mole.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Very good. We've got over twenty words for our listeners today,
haven't we? Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Exactly?
Speaker 1 (01:41):
So, speaking of hair, describe your hair for me.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Well, my hair is short, shoulder length, straight and platinum,
or you could say grayish. And what about yours? Neil?
Speaker 1 (01:53):
My hair is black, straight and short. When I was five,
I remember my hair being brown.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
It's interesting, isn't it? How we change Neil? Do you
know anyone with a mustache and dimples?
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yes, my dad. My dad has a mustache.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
That's nice.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
And not only does he have a mustache, but he
also wears a hat a hat. Yes, it's a tradition
he picked up from the nineteen thirties. How interesting, Very interesting. Now,
I don't know anyone with dimples. I've seen actors on
TV with them, but personally I don't know anyone.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
What about you, Well, dimples run in my family. My
sisters have them.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Your sisters, yes, just two of them, only two, that's right, fascinating.
And who in your family has a mustache?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
My granddad.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Ah, that's great, very interesting indeed. So what do you
think about braids?
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Well, braids, they can make people look youthful, and they
have a sophisticated style to them.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
And what about ponytails?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Ponytails they're lovely but quite common, and because they're so common,
they're practical and easy, especially for US women.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
I think braids look beautiful depending on the shape of
the face. Definitely, they can make someone look a bit younger. Ponytails,
I think look really nice on women. True, do you
have any males males? No, I don't none, Nope, But
I wish I did. Really. Yes, well, I have a
(03:39):
few males. I've got a tiny one on my belly
and another one on my arm. I'm actually going to
have the one on my arm removed.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
You're going to remove it?
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yes, it looks a bit like a wart, you know, ah,
I see? Yes. Do you know anyone who wears pigtails?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Pigtails? Yes, there's a face famous character in a British
children's TV show who wears them, Poppy from Poppy's Playground.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
From Poppy's Playground.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yes, she's a well loved character in the UK.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
True. I don't know anyone personally who wears pigtails either.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
It's rare to see these days.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
It's something you might see during a themed party here
in the.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
UK, yes, or at fancy dress parties.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
It's really fun. So what's a themed party like here
in the UK?
Speaker 2 (04:30):
A themed party is when everyone dresses up in costumes
related to a specific idea, like a retro theme or
a countryside theme. People come together, have some fun, eat
and dance. It's a great time.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
This year I went to a summer festival in Brighton.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
In Brighton, yes, wow, that's amazing. It's right near.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Where I live close to your house, isn't.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
It exactly very close?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
How did you find our summer festival?
Speaker 1 (05:02):
I thought it was fantastic. The atmosphere was very welcoming,
with people having fun, eating, drinking, and dancing. It was
a wonderful experience.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
That's true, it's really lovely.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yes. In your opinion, when do wrinkles start to appear
in men or women?
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Well, Neil, that's an interesting question. I think it depends. Right.
These days, both men and women care a lot about beauty.
You'll find loads of products for people to start using
in their mid twenties, that's true, and nowadays it's hard
to spot wrinkles since people take such good care of themselves.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
In my opinion, wrinkles start to appear around age thirty thirty. Yes,
I believe that's when expression lines show up from worry
and stress.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
That's true. Stress can cause a lot.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
After forty, wrinkles often appear around the eyes and chin,
and eventually, as we age they spread across the whole body.
But it's natural part of the aging process.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yes, it's just a part of life.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Rachel, tell me who are two people you admire?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Well, I really admire Emma Watson, who's a beautiful and
talented actress, and Adele as well.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Tell me about their faces.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Emma's fair skinned, and though she's in her thirties, she
always looks fresh and youthful. And Adele, with her lovely
skin tone, also seems to defy aging looking fabulous.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yes, they're both absolutely gorgeous. I admire two people. One's
an author and the others an actor.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Tell us about them.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
The author is Brian Tracy, a motivational speaker. He's seventy
five now and when I started following his talks, he
had gray hair. Now, with age, his hair is fully white. Yes,
he's got lots of wrinkles and freckles too. The actor
is Benedict Cumberbatch. He has short brown hair. In some
(07:07):
photos he's got a beard, and in others he's clean shaven.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Well, today we've talked about face and hair. Do you
have any other questions?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
No, Neil, no more questions today. What about you?
Speaker 1 (07:22):
If you were to dye your hair, what color would
you choose?
Speaker 2 (07:26):
I'd keep it blonde.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Hmmm.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
I used to have dark hair, but then I had
a drastic change and went platinum. Now it's a mix
of gray and white. If I were to switch to
another color, I'd go for a soft blonde like we
mentioned earlier.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Very nice. Well, we've covered face and hair today and
we'll be back again on our next podcast.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
See you in the next podcast, Neil.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Indeed, take care, take care, Rachel, Bye bye, bye bye.
