the hunt. Yeah, I gota couple of copies of it, but
this is the one that I actuallygot. There was just about perfect.
So I'm kind of excited to you, Well, I'm doing it because oh

You know, it's very different typeof story, like obviously a what if
scenario, what if the Death Starwas never blown out? And that's how

but he's actually the author of Skippythe Jedi Droid. But his kind of
idea was to be really and reallyopposite happens in our beloved are were bees

with the idea that Leiah actually becomeslike the Balactic Empire, this lord and
her apprentice is Luke and they becomelovers and Lucas film was like, uh

that's a little too far. Itwasn't happy that I said, no,
they hired someone else. I meanhappy they didn't do it. No one
the plotline. Okay, yeah,it was already kind of kind of a

theme in the past. Huh,only because at the time of when they
made it, they didn't know thatthey were going to be so yeah,
right, like if people remember,right, yeah, but we all we
all remember that. It's pretty weirdanyway, you know, yeah, yeah,

you know it was probably le bracket. I thought it would have been
like a fun play if they actuallydid do it that way. I mean,
what, how could it be thatmuch more of an Infinity's tale if
that actually happened. Kind of likea good inside joke. But I can
see why they wouldn't want to gorun them with it. Yeah, a
little too far. Like so they'renot they're not siblings those but you're telling
me they are siblings. Oh oh, you probably just said that, and

Luke ultimately blowing up the dust starthooray, but alter one event and a

Con comes in and I love theartwork here. It's like blasted beautiful,
like blue and gold. As Falconcomes in and condos that typical.
Yeah, who it's a legensary.Yeah. Uh. Vader gets knocked off,

Luke doesn't shot. They're flying awaylike hustle up, you know,
don't get your tails. They thinkingwhat's going on? Nothing's not happening,
nothing's happening. Why is anything happening? And cod typical I've got a bad
feeling about this, as Torpedo didn'tthat sort of the reaction, and therefore

they are a clear target. Ifyou guys remember this is where that scene
in the movie that they are nowfind up blast the way the rebels.
How do you feel bad? That'salways a good revengeon for that. It
was a kind of the Fellar momentin the film. I think they capitalized.

And then I love this moment whereit's like on General Chanso'donna like,
you know, you're the future ofthe Rebellions. They're gonna blow us up
like now, and she's like,the rebellion hasn't a future. There's there's
a lot of but Leiah in thiscomic that I take issue with um.
I feel like I feel like shedoesn't Paul enough for her what happens.

But we'll get more about that andwhat happens. So Han and Luke are
flying the Han and the Talk andLuke actually looks like, what do we
do? You know? We gottalike we gotta attack again. Ton's like,
you know, we just need toget anywhere but here for to be
blown too the bee and save ourselves. Lukes like, you know, we're

still rebels, We're still in thisfight. Why should then Tarkan has kind
of like ha ha ha, youmay fire when ready and see like the
lasers typical like primary mission shooe,everything points up Love then the falcon like
they're kind of on the other side. Yeah, they can't see all of

it yet, but like Luke catchthat glimpse of the basing hit, the
laser strike, debris going everywhere.Luke's freaking out. But they didn't completely
destroy it in that moment, sothere's like some hope and he's like Han,
you know, like let's we've gotto do something. Han's like,

no, we again, let's justkind of get clear. But they do
take on a bunch of ties becausenow something there's like forty five fighters AFT.
I think at this point like they'rethe only ones really left the pilots.
I don't know of wedge pistol limpingback to the base or if you've
been killed. Yeah, I meanas far as yeah, that's a cool

thought. Didn't didn't come to movebefore, but yeah, yeah they didn't.
They didn't have read yet, soyeah, so at all. But
regardless, Damper is about just likethe story. I would think this one
panel here tarkens like the rebellions tosave execution has been interested obliterates and you

have a couple of ships that hadat this point wedge the base and you
know, the typical c three peoplegoing, oh, we're doomed and plays
like you know, we're not,but brace for impact. And I love
the artwork here, the going away, the remnants of the base on the
moon of Yavin four, and that'sall that, Like Luke sense is like

they see the ashmath while on theother side of Yavin the debris, the
debris field and now what was Hopeis gone. Luke's interesting in this because
he gets a little like dark sideytakeover a moment or two. What do
you think of this part where handis like, Luke talks to you,
buddy, they murdered them, Theymurdered lay it like it's it's interesting to

use the term murdered more. Yeah, that's actually, um, that's pretty
noteworthy right there. It takes themvery personally h y. Yeah, And
like he dips away from I'm gonnablow him and ties Hans like are you

on your mind? Like and thepanel here where it's his face and screaming
and the red and blue and likethe ties all around they're really beautiful.
I love how like Luke Luke talkedto me, talked can you hear me?
And somewhere in the background, youhere, you're Duke of that's my

all right, Yeah, don't giveinto your anger, save yourself.

the debris, Han gives ordinance andthey jumped at it. They've just got

to go to Light save their butts. Just the rebels, the two unlikely
rebels who only just joined that day, the only ones left. And then
the book, Yeah, this onefinishes off. What do you think of
this last with General n Dan DannaYeah, and Leah being taken aboard death

Star. Yeah, it was awesome. I loved the Danna and it's like
I thought that was just cool tobe we got to see him in the
story here. Yeah. Yeah,I remember the first time reading it back
when too. I mean you reallydidn't know what they were, what they
were going to come up with,and and he was going to get the
axe on the cutting room floor.But I like the character choices were all

with the Dana. Yeah, wellthen who walks thought but Vader and Tarket
waiting. Yeah, leadership didn't havehim spinning around for two weeks. H

is and like here she's she looksdefeated him broken. Oh yeah, and
I would still think she would havesome sort of fighting, but they just
got both her planets, both herplanet and then her cause blown up a

smug too, and he like grabsher chin and like nothing to rudes day
and Parking. You love to hatethis guy because took cringeworthy that he like

bugs crap, what are you gonnado? Nothing? And all you can
really do is reflect on how yourtime. Now I'm going to be best
serving fire. So this kind ofgives you a hint of what they're going
to do to La. And it'snot going to be execution, but it's
going to be humiliation, which isworse. Yeah, which is worse?

had it like there's that five percentsupport, it's not going to go any
further. Our two has been hit, so they need to come on board.
The ball's gonna ditch the action,so the actually is no longer even

know reality is so it's just themum and looks like, you know,

And Luke's rage here is like understandable, but it's it's it's weird to
see Luke raging um and he said, you think this is funny? And

I don't want to get upset,and he's like upset and then tackles Hon
and immediately there's like this fight blowing, you know, like Han's like are
you nuts? And Luke's like I'mnot nuts, so are you? Like
we haven't even started lights up hislightsaber. How crazy is seen? Like,

yeah, yeah, I mean thedeath's like tipped into the dark side,
right, so that's it's pretty awesome. Yeah, but like he felt
very quickly from we have to dosomething for the greater good too, I'm
gonna beat you with a lightsaber.Yeah, And I mean I get that

though, I get as ranged becauseit's like, all right, so our
entire like movie up until this pointand then everything's just over, which would
which was obviously like highly more likely. That's kind of why I like the
story too. It's just I mean, if it wasn't for the miracle on
the reason why we had a film, that's most certainly the way I would
have like he faced the rebellion,right, but instead of always set on

it's the little pieces. Ben here, dude, don't give in your egg
looks like, oh my gosh,Ben. And this is what's kind of
interesting in this because like, Ben, are you now? That's like,

smooth landing, and you know,it just shows that Han really is a
better out of the two of them. Of course, now our two is
like alive again because remember he gotzapped during that battle, and Luke's happy.

He's like, I knew they couldn'tshut you down, and you know,
it's like a little reunion between thetwo of them. They they cross
the water, they're walking in,They're like, how are we going to
find a Jedi in this place?You know? Like where do we even
start? Then? Why are theygoing to be in a swamp first of
all? And looks like, Idon't know, like you'll find us,
I guess. And of course assoon as he says that, who is

it that you wish to find?And Han's like, what the you know?
What? No? Who? Perhaps? Yes? Like looking for someone?
Are you like all the all thenice nets that we normally get from
empire, pardon of me. Ilove that they're all together. It's definitely

like Chewie's pretty quiet quiet in thismoment, Like you would think that Chewie
would be like, yeah, that'sYoda, we've we've met. So but
of course Luke's dismissive of Yoda.It's like, you know, a little

fellow, we're busy, so movealong kind of thing. And our two
is even dismissive, and he's like, come help you find you find your
way? Well, and Hans like, look, let's let's go with him.
He has clearly this guy knows hisstuff and they go to the home.
Still Luke has not clued in.Of course. As for the movie

and Han, I love this whereHans like, don't you get it?
He's playing us or playing you ratherlike this guy's Yoda just like what bonks
his head? Like how can you? And he's like, takes a con
man to know a con So what'syour thought on Han knowing Yoda? Yeah,

I like the whole thing. Idon't know. It was a nice
take because it's a all of usjust like a countermeasure to like Luke's naivety.
Yeah, yeah, we get thefill in those gaps with Hans humor.
Of course, Yoda does agree totrain Luke and he's like, I

won't fail you. And then Yoda'slike on this the future Japan. Now
we cut to Corressant and here's itwas. Also it was also funny to
like watch them like eating suffer inparticular because that's like like an entire page.
Yeah, everybody sitting around the firewas pretty special. Yeah, it

is cute. It's it's a veryheartwarming moment happing all of them and you
just want to hug them for pug. Yeah, but all right, now
back to Corson where darkness is takingover Princess Leia's life, and she's up
in this tower. Um are weassuming it's the Imperial Palace? I think

probably, I'm yeah, that soundsfine, Yeah, it sounds fine.
Yeah. So Vader walks in andLeo is just looking out at the city
escape and he's like, they havea moment of your time and she's like,
what pretend I have a choice.He's like, you have more choices
than you know, but I've broughtyou something, Princess, and in walks

in three po and she's like,yeah, a friend, And of course
he's happy to see her and embraceand it's very sweet and everything, and
Invader is kind of like watching thisscene with kind of an air of like
I've done good, you know,I've I've done something for her, but
like, why are you helping her? We don't quite know yet. But

they send away the droid and nowhe's like, Okay, I brought you
this, but I have another giftfor you, and this is where the
story gets kind of cool. Andit's a lightsaber and she's like, oh,
is that the lightsaber you used tomurder Obi Wan Kenobi? Haven't you
learned you can't threaten me. Andhe's like, this is obi wan lightsaber.

(36:21):
I'm giving this to you. Andthe silence and the emotions she goes
through, just holding the lysaber,turning it on, and he's like,
can't you feel the powers? Youknow, it's not like a cold blaster
but a living thing, the extensionof yourself and like a spirit, a

(36:42):
servant of will. And the tearthat comes down her face as she's looking
at it, and immediately she strikesat him and strikes again and again and
again, and he's just goading herof like release your anger. Your anger
makes me powerful. She's just cryingand crying and stops because she knows she

(37:06):
can't kill him, which is whatshe wants free herself. He's like powerful,
but not ready. And then Imean this is this is a really
intense moment where she takes the lightsaber, which she had already turned off before,
and puts it to her chin andsays ready to die, and she's

(37:28):
about to commit suicide before he pullsit from her hand and she's just screaming
no, like no, well,like, don't take that for me.
This is what I want in thismoment and she falls to the ground and
you know he's like you felt it, didn't you a hidden voice breathing strength
to your spirit. You have noidea what you can become Leah the door

(37:51):
open. This scene, Like,this scene is really heavy to try to

interesting too, because she's like,as you know, I once led the
ill conceived, violent insurrection against theEmpire, a rebellion that costs lives and
many beings. Though I may neverbe able to forgive myself, the Empire
has forgiven me. So it's likeshe's kind of obviously like the propaganda that

they pushed on her has worked andshe's publicly saying, hey, I once
it was a rebel, but they'veforgiven me, so you guys are gonna
be okay with me too now.And everyone seems to be okay with this
because what choice do they have,right, Like it's yeah, like there's

like never in Star Wars crashing rightinto it like stormtroopers in the in
a speeder. But they do makeit to the falcon and if those engines
going and blast out of there,and you know they're they're happy, happy

to you know, prepare to jumpto light speed and let's clear this planet.
And like dozens of ties coming inand like they're ye, like it
says, let's punch it. Yeah, let's punch it. And then yeah,

like you know, he's like,let's go back to find Luke. Yeah

this beautiful visage of Obi Wan Kenobiejust steamrolling over Luke's inquiries and then um,

sun, but the daughter will doand um, you know, Luke's kind
of confused with that. And thenhe's he's hanging out with Obi Wan and
Yoda and they're basically discussing, um, what it is to really be a

and our two show up. Yeah, they're waiting by the phone. Um
yeah there, ready to go.And Luke then goes with them. Yeah,
but not just Luke. This iswhen yodas like, you owe me
a fa favor for that food youeaten there, buddy, I think your

vessel would be a fair exchange.Yeah. Besides, long has it been
since I was at the Temple ofthe Jedi. Many fun memories I have

Like it's just it's amazing how muchships they've just got stashed up or

newly Christian former Death Star now JusticeStar. And they kind of place in
front of the cours Son in celebrationand everyone's cheering and again there's confetti and
they got fished in the air like, yeah, Justice Star instead of death
Star. I don't know how youfeel about that name, but it's it's

yeah, it's a gross name becausewe all know what it is. It's
a planet killer. There's millions ofpeople, but it's justice, right.
Yeah. So Land Vader are ofcourse admiring it, and he's like,
oh, if only the Emperor hasbeen well enough to be here, and

she's like, well, it's justas well that he's not. And she's
like, but you know, theNew Dawn of an Erra has so like
only those who can go forward,and she kind of dismisses herself and leaves
the room. And so here's whereit's confusing. Like was Palpatine listening the
whole time? Yeah, that's whatI mean, Like I think he was,

And then he was right there likelistening the entire time, Yeah,
and clearly like watching it. Andyou can see how like Vader when he
talks about her, Yeah, hejust kind of cuts the He kind of
cuts to the next you know,like I sense the disturbance. It's just

off the Emperor, you know,he clearly is is then pissed um,
yeah, and it's just like that. That disturbance is most certainly the falcons
zooming in with Yoda. Um.He's all about looking at the celebration,

And then we have like a reallynice shot of the fleet where they're
like this as nuts. Yeah soand then yeah, the whole falcon.
I love that line of like lookingforward to the Emperor's celebration. I am
yes. We're in the final finalstretch, the final part four of the
book. I love again the shotsand the falcon here is so funny,

like this is nuts, like likelike if we were to sit here and
count every star destroyer at super Destroyer, like they've got a lot of force
balls to do this plan, andthe plan is like I love Hans like

know, like so they're coming inhot and ye Pulps has summoned Vader again
and he still reassures, and Istill feel this disturbance the forrest. It's

and Leah where they where they werehidden, I was it was only kind

is where the Falcon is going intodocking onto the Justice Star docking bay number
seven, you know, prepare forboarding. And he's like, this is
a plan. Going back to thedesk start, He's like pretty much,
so again familiar docking bay and they'relike, you know, we're just gonna
improvise, but it's a it's aplan that's obviously wild, but somehow it's

going to be successful. And yougotta you gotta love what Yoda does a
moment um. Yeah, he's likenearing the end. Am I a teacher?
Long have I been? Remember Luke? Remember the cave? And do
not underestimate Vader or the but theforest can be your ally so you can
prevail, and Luke sends off aretwo with with Yoda. Yeah we're just

still alive at this point, hedidn't get blown up. Important business we

know. And Yoda wisely says theship is cleared for departure, and they're
like, all right, ship's clearedfor departure. Enjoy your stay. I

this though, because the Stormtrooper onhis own volition says like, would you
like an escort? Like no,no, I want this to be a

immediate like, wow, this fourstops amazing. Let's go to a casino

of tying in a lot of differentplots here at this point in the where
we're at with this this adaptation,a lot of different things. I'm here.

but wisely they say, Chewy,they with the falcon, keep the engines

running, you know, we'll beback hopefully, and looks like we you

an affectionate gesture of like, takecare of yourself, buddy, might barrow

due a reward for rescuing the princess. The last time I thought they had
paid him off. So I mean, yeah, unless you do, I
think donated back. I don't know, baby. Well, and then during
battle when he came back and henever was able to. Yeah. Meanwhile,

like yeah, it is just youknow, doing his thing and completely
just you know, kind of likestartles Tarkan. He's just like, yeah,
how dare you a tour of yourvessel now? Please? And it's
just completely just overtakes Tarkan. Yeah. But then for I love how it

was drawn there, like his eyesare just like so golden. And then
just I got you're gonna baby theback of course, Yeah, sufficient payment
for your soul. Yeah, nicelittle dig for him. No, it

the Tarken was so easily fallen,like he barely got any like realized zation

know, we gotta find Leiah.And who did they come uprom this?

Yeah, the Imperial Guards, whichwas freaking great. Yeah, yeah,
that was awesome. Yeah, becausethey all have double lightsabers. And so
this is like Luke's real first lightsaberfight against sunny Wood. Yeah, but

he's like, pretty he's pretty trainedup at this point, you know,
five years yeah, yeah, yeahexactly. Hans just kind of there in
the background with his blaster yeah,and like flips like over his Luke's head
and Luke, like Luke quickly islike he's doing pretty good. Yeah,
he like chops the lightsaber in halfum punches the guy in the face,

but hans blaster gets shinked, likeit gets cut and he's like I know
I need help now. Yeah thewhole time, but he does save his
butt at the end. Yeah,this scenem's awesome. Where So like we
got one guy on the ground alreadyand Luke pulls up that lightsaber and just
throws it forward, and then HanDuck and those two guards just get yeah

get out of there on the falconand the Emperor is just somehow he dies

this early in the story, buthe's just uh, yeah, he's plunked
up. There's the entire Death Starsmashes directly into the Emperor's I love,
yeah, the close lash shots ofthe Emperor of like the glowing approaching Justice
Star and last look at his faceand then yeah, just the utter destruction

that the Death Star does to ofcourse, yes, that's you know,
it's a space station. It's nota tiny little thank like, Yoda doesn't

lot of cups and downs, lotsof heart pains in this comic. UM
still feel that like Ley needed alittle bit more of a push to turn
to the dark side. Like,I know, you watched the whole rebellion

like thinks, like, I don'tknow, I feel like she still had
a little bit of hope in herwhat's your thought? Well, I mean,
yeah, but I love this edition, in this twist of like all

that room with like absolute con Yeah. On didn't develop too too far.
That's the only thing. I mean, like, you know, it not
to be great and fun in likepresent. But as far as character development,
he didn't really go too much furtherthan he was from like five years
beforehand. But I was okay withthat. We didn't get like the romance
between Han and Leah, so likearguably that romance has changed him. So

yeah, it's you know, andit's all that's coming up in the next
one when we get to it,you know, Empire strikes back for this.
But that that was like the onlypoint I wish that we had like
a little bit more um Hones centrickind of things. But besides that,

hockey banker to being completely muted withno lines, which you know what he

got here, kind of you know, the reimaginings because everyone had been long
dead that somebody had to step forwardand that was a nice way of doing
it. I just really enjoyed hisapproach because obi Wan had to be sneaky
and Yoda was just like, youknow, because they both broken into these

kind of places before. Yeah,you know, Yoda was just like with
his walking stick. That that wasone of my favorite parts too. Like
his mission wasn't some you know,hiding around like aravans and stuff. It
was very clear that he was thereto h and and he did and the

even even him pausing to look atall the destruction and whatnot was great.
He's like and he's just like stillmoving, you know, like open it.
Yeah. Um, I really enjoyedall of that. And they did
