Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello, and welcome to the Legit Side Hustles podcast. I'm
your host, Miles, and today I'm going to tell you
about ten easyside hustles from home. I put a lot
of work into this episode, so I'm really excited to
talk to you about these ideas and you're welcome to
come and discuss them with me in the Legit Side

(00:22):
Hustles Facebook group. You can find a link to that
group in the foot of my website over at legitside
hustles dot com. Now let's dive into the episode. So
this episode is going to include a variety of low
cost side hustle ideas from home, falling into the broad
categories of content creation, online services, and digital products. And

(00:44):
from here, the only thing you need to get started
is a laptop and some good old fashioned ambition. So
the first one is become an online tutor or teacher.
You most likely have expertise in a subject. This could
be baking, writing, playing an instrument like guitar, or speaking

(01:06):
a foreign language, and you can teach it online. The
easiest way to start is with an online teaching platform
like out school, where you design your classes and they
connect you with students. You can also start your own
teaching business from home and use tools like Google Meet
or Zoom to teach. You'll have to find customers on

(01:26):
your own if you do it this way, but you'll
earn much more than you would earn from a marketplace.
To get your first clients, post in niche Facebook groups,
start a Google business profile, and post daily on effective
social media platforms like LinkedIn or Instagram. The second idea

(01:48):
is start a YouTube channel. And YouTube is a great
side hustle because it doesn't need to take a ton
of time. You simply will choose a niche where you're
both passionate about it and skilled in that nee and
create videos that help or entertain your target audience. You
can earn money on YouTube through affiliate marketing and the
YouTube Partner program, which places ads on your videos. Some

(02:11):
other ways you can monetize include sponsorships, Patreon, which is
a community platform, and coffee tipping platform. You don't need
much to get started either. Just use you Cut for
editing videos, Canva for making thumbnails and other graphics, YouTube

(02:32):
Studio for analytics, and your phone or laptop camera to
make your videos. Three is start a podcast. If you
love talking about anything that could be helpful or entertaining.
Start a one person podcast. To get started, pick a
podcast host like spreaker, Popbean, or YouTube podcasts. Choose a

(02:55):
niche name your podcast, get a cell phone microphone and
record your show. Then you can monetize with ads, affiliate
marketing services, sponsorships, and digital products. And speaking of digital products,
that brings us to number four, and a digital product

(03:16):
is amazing because it's something you can create once and
sell again and again. This makes it a time leveraged
asset and they're especially lucrative when listed on popular marketplaces
like Amazon, kdp ets, creative market and niche specific platforms.
Two of the most popular digital products to sell are

(03:36):
printples and ebooks. You can easily make them using platforms
like Canva or Google Docs. Five is freelancing, and when
you become a freelancer, you usually offer business to business
services to well businesses, entrepreneurs, and content creators. Some popular

(03:58):
examples of freelancer ser include website design, social media marketing, copywriting,
video editing, and graphic design. You can find clients through
LinkedIn service marketplaces like upwork and fiverr, or local methods
like networking and using a Google business profile. The six

(04:20):
side hustle idea is become an Amazon Influencer, and the
Amazon Influencer program pays you to create product review videos
for their platform. You intercommission when someone buys a product
after watching your video. This is an especially fun side
hustle if you have access to lots of different products
you can review. They don't have to be your own.
They could be products that your friend has, for example.

(04:41):
You'll need a social media following to get accepted to
the program, but it does not need to be too substantial.
Just engaged. Seven is starting a newsletter, and this is
a smart side hustle idea because everyone has an email address,
and a new letter allows you to solve their problems

(05:02):
directly in their inbox. Start by picking a niche worth
writing about regularly, like local events, news for a niche industry,
or helpful tips for a popular hobby. Next, you'll need
to pick a newsletter platform. In my opinion, the three
easiest to start with our Behive Bee, hiiv Kit, and
flow Desk fl oDesk. Just make sure you research the

(05:26):
pros and cons of each platform before you pick one.
From here, you'll need to attract an audience and monetize
your newsletter, pick a platform where your audience already hangs out,
and monetize using newsletter ad networks, affiliate marketing, sponsors, paid subscriptions,
or online coaching. Number eight is online course sales, and

(05:49):
selling a course is arguably the easiest side hustle to
make money online, assuming you could sell the right course
to the right audience on the right media channels. Courses
are great because you can deliver the content in multiple
formats such as video, text, or slides. The first thing
you want to do is identify your niche, then figure
out one or more problems you can solve in that niche.

(06:12):
From there, outline a mini course, record it, and upload
it to a course platform or marketplace like pay hip, Teachable,
gum road, you to Me, or skill share. This works
best if you already have an audience or you use
a marketplace with a built in audience. Nine is online coaching.

(06:33):
Because lots of people need help with specific skills, software,
or other problems requiring an expert. This is where you
can help as an online coach or consultant. This is
one of the best high income site hustle ideas, and
it can be quite rewarding for making money. You can
offer one on one consulting group, coaching, masterminds, or productized

(06:55):
services that solve one specific goal. Find clients through low channels, YouTube,
a podcast, or social media channels. And ten last binial
least is blogging and this is where you'll attract an
audience through writing online. Start by picking a niche you
can easily write about, especially a niche with content related

(07:16):
to a valuable industry. Next, pick one blogging platform and
one media channel to promote your blog. I recommend using
WordPress to host your blog, then promoting it with YouTube,
LinkedIn or pinterest. You can monetize your blog with advertisements,
affiliate links, digital products, and online services. It will take

(07:40):
time and patience to make money with your blog, but
it can be an extremely valuable asset if you stick
with it and commit to offering tremendous value to your audience.
And that's it. Those are my ten easy side hustles
from home. Thank you so much for listening, and remember
to join the Facebook group. And if you like this show,

(08:00):
we'll tell a friend about it and rate the show
on the podcast platform that you prefer to listen with.
And once again, I appreciate you listening and I hope
you have a fantastic day.
