Speaker 1 (00:17):
Right, all right, all right, good morning everybody. Welcome to
the number one show on the internet. Le Grandpa speak,
Welcome to the show. We're having a good time today.
We've got a lot of stuff to talk about that
you will enjoy. I'm your host. I love everybody. I
say that every show. I'll say it everywhere I go.
I feel that way. I love everybody. But you know what,
(00:38):
it makes me feel good. I know when I say that,
I'm not making you feel good, but I'm certainly making
me feel good. But let me tell you, like this,
I am sending love energy to you, so you should
feel good too. Right. Anyway, I have to give love
because I don't have anything else to give people but love.
I'm not going to anywhere else and anything they say,
(01:01):
what you give is what you get back, so I'm
not giving anything bad because I don't want nothing back.
So I'm doing good.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
We're the use of the fifty plus here on km
T fourteen ninety am hap and I'm grandpa. Let grandpa speak.
And like all great grandpas and malls mimes or gg's
or Nyanaise or whatever they want to call this, we're
living longer. We're living much longer than we ever lived before,
(01:32):
and we're doing well. It's a different type of thing
doing this, living longer. It brings on a lot of
different lifestyles and a lot of different problems that we
must need and address to it. And since this is
a new area, most of us have never been living
this longer as we have because we're not only living
(01:54):
the seventy eight that they predict. Many of us are
living to be one hundred years old today. They don't
have no records of it. People not keeping records of it.
That's why I wanted to do this show, because when
the people reach a certain age, people need to think
over They're overwood, you know, like an old pair of shoes.
(02:14):
We ain't need these no more. They're overwood. They're out
of the main similar life. They can't contribute it. Yes
we can. We can contribute, and we're not all sick,
and we're not all the negative things that they apply
to being old for old people, and that we don't
qualify and can't participate in all that stuff. Yes we do.
(02:38):
We're still strong and we're still living it. That's what
living long has given to us. We've got good health
and we got good everything. Else in us. Now, the
first thing you want to worry about when you're getting
old is your health. Now, a lot of people say, well,
when you get older, you're gonna lose your health, or this,
that and the other you got. You know, I don't
(02:59):
believe that. As a matter of fact, I don't believe
any human being should need to be sick. I think
is what we put in this is what makes us
sick and what causes us the most of the problem.
And that's what we need to learn to try to
find out how to do. And that's what the show is.
We teach you old people how to live healthy, how
to live their best life. Now I'll teach you how
(03:21):
to think right, how to develop things, and what sources
you may have for solving your problem. We have the
government has a lot of a lot of a lot
of things that they can do to offer seniors. And
not only the government, the states also off and the
(03:42):
local cities have things to offer benefits to senior citizens.
So what we need to do is to realize that
a lot of the people need to go to the
Senior Citizens Center and find out what is there, whether
they can take advantage or be had And a lot
of things they can worry about. So when you get old,
the main thing you're not gonna work, the main things
you men't even work about is more money. You got
(04:04):
to know how you're going to live. You got to
have an income. Social security may not be enough, so
you may start prepraying health. Your health has to be right,
because if your health is not right, you won't be
able to do much of anything. You lose your independence
because of that. And then you have to be an alert.
You have to be able to mentally handle the situations
(04:26):
that daily and you have to stay active. Those are
the things that you need to worry about as you
grow older and as you get older in things. And
that's what we teach you about. We teach you how
to have money, We teach you how to stay healthy,
how to be alert, and how to do all the
things that you need to do. And you know, most
people associate old age as somebody being worn out. They're
(04:51):
over the heel and nothing they can do anymore. Yes,
there is. It's not luck. It used to be when
the person reached sixty five, they get to go watch
and die two years later. It's not that anymore. People
are not worn out. People are not tired. There are
(05:11):
some people who say, well, I'm tired, I don't want
to work, and I you know, that's they're saying the
wrong thing for themselves. If they say they're tired, they're
gonna be tired because they said it and they got it.
They forget people say I forget. You don't forget anything.
People they they recall system may not be working, but
(05:32):
they don't forget it. It's there because in some other
time it'll come out again. And then all of the
stud for them say they move too slow. Well, sometimes
seniors do to move slow, but that's what that's the
pace that they're in. They slow down. They're not running
as fast as they used to run. Who who are younger?
We were running so fast, we were running over stuff
(05:54):
in the frium, running in and stuff, doing all kinds
of things because we were impatiently to run it. And
most people think you're in pain. Your knees are in pain,
your joints are in pain, your back getting all of that.
They claim, Well, I don't believe in that either. Now
I'm and I'm qualified to tell you these things that
(06:16):
I'm telling you because I'm ninety five years old and
i feel great doing well, and I'm just like a
sixty year old man. Really, it's a blessing in a way.
And it's not in a way because some people will look, oh,
you know, they think I've lost all my faculties and
all my things. I haven't lost nothing. I got everything
I ever had and it's still working. I got my eyes,
(06:37):
I got my ear and everything. But the big thing
about about even if you lose those things, they have
answers for those things. Now. If you lose your teeth,
they got permanent teeth they can put in. If you
lose your eyesight, they can they got operations and things
they can do to give your eyesight. If you lose
your hearing, ain't nothing much they can do about that.
But you know, they do offer you hearing it and
(07:00):
things like that. But you're still going to have that problem.
But the myth is not working today that they had
for a long time ago. The myth that old people
are old and when they get to be sixty five
or seventy, they're no more good and this, that and
what that ain't true today because people are seventy years old,
up and moving, they're working, they got job there in life,
(07:21):
mainstream life. They're leaders their everything, and that's great because
they have a lot of learning and intelligence and a
lot of information they can have to pass on to
the younger people, and the younger people should be open
for it. When I came along, that's what we have
as the mindset we have. You always listen to your adults.
You're always respecting your adults, and they always told you
(07:44):
a lot of things that work well. It worked for
me because I've had a very happy, successful life all
of my life. Because I didn't have a mother or father,
I would hang around other older people so I can
get information. That's my only source of getting information as
a man, from other men that they would set around.
So back in those days, men used to set around
(08:05):
and they would play checkers, dominoes and drink beer. So
as a kid, I would go up there and hang around.
But I could run their errands. I could go get
they They used to sell beer in a bucket, so
back the way in how it was, so I would
take the beer and run down to the saloon get
(08:28):
I mean the bucket. Take the bucket down and so
get a bucket of beer and come back. They would
drink that and talk about all kinds of things. So
I had a wealth of information. I probably had a
PhD a PhD a degree in what they were talking about,
because they did. They would say a lot of different things.
And you can learn a lot just by hanging around.
(08:49):
So I would hang around, and they would give me
a nickel or dime to go get more beer whenever
they would run down, and they would still be playing
the checks. I never played, uh, I played checkers. I
never played dominoes. I still don't care for dominoes. I
don't play with it or any kind of cars games
like that. But see I go around it, and I
take advantage of the wisdom and the knowledge that there's
(09:12):
older people were teaching. I learned a lawful lot, and
you can too and learn a lot from your grandparents
and all the people. You may think, oh, they don't
know nothing, they don't know what they're talking about. They
may not be able to explain it right, but you
can learn that at seventy, Gigi today is still looking good.
Women seventy years old are looking good. I'm telling you
(09:35):
they're looking good. We have dances out here every Friday
and Saturday at the fifty five plus neighborhoods that I
live in, and these women come out looking nice. They're
looking good at sixty and seventy. That's what they are.
So you know now some are still working at that age.
Someonem are still on their job. They're still out there
doing what they do. They didn't do a lot of
(09:58):
savings when they were early or either they I had
a husband or wife and they got divorced and all that.
I remember when people didn't get divorced, believe it or not,
they would stay right with each other. Somebody said, how
you gonna say with somebody you're unhappy, They're gonna be
unhappy wherever they go. They're taking their unhappiness with them
as in them. Even when they go with somebody else,
(10:18):
they'll probably get a divorce in that person too, because
unhappiness is what you have in your mind and how
you say it. And those are the things that I've
learned as we get older. That's why we need to
do good or think good. And I guess that's why
religion come along to I'm not a very religious person,
but it serves a purpose. It was to help people
be better. That's what the church used to be about.
(10:40):
When I was a kid. It was to help you
get off of your old bad habits and the wrong
things that you were doing and live a good life,
and life would be what better for you? But you know,
but what I'm doing here in this show, I do
all I can to inform you on the stuff that
no one tells us about. Because who's gonna tell tell
us about it? It has to be us because we're
(11:03):
the only ones that experienced. Young people can't tell us
how to be old. They never been old before. So
we have to do We have to do it ourselves.
And that's what I'm doing. I decided, well, I'll do
it myself. You know, it don't matter, you know I
can older people are gonna take an older person to
tell an older person what they need to know about
being old. See, you need to know how to keep
(11:24):
yourself healthy. You need to know that a lot of
people be suffered everything. They don't know how to do that. See,
you need to know you already had or the problems
that you have, you know how to deal with them, problem,
the pain and all that stuff. You need to know
how to do that and where to go to get answers.
And many people today they want to they want to
do home remedies because nowadays they don't trust so much
(11:47):
the prescription has been so many things said about side effects,
this and that and the other, so that that's another
thing that we need to do about. And that's another
thing that I have clear and give you the answers.
And even if you have a question, and sometimes you
can send me a question, mail it to me, or
send it since or call up. There's a phone number
we have on that you can call me ask me
a question. I think I can answer almost any question.
(12:10):
I always tell people at ninety five, I've gone through
everything at least three times. Whatever you're going through, I've
been through it three times. So whether it being broke
or whatever your name, I've been there. Okay, now remember this,
be careful on subscriptions and pills. I'll tell you a
lot about that how to be because when when opiols
(12:33):
came up, I was I was ahead of it about
a year telling people what to do and what not
to be. But that's what it is, okay. But the
idea here of this show is to make sure you
are aware, make sure you can live your own happy
and everything else, even though you may be getting older.
You don't have to just fall around and try to
(12:55):
act that I can't do this, I can't do that.
We have people coming to answer with cane. The lady
I dance with all the time she had a cane,
and you know, and I'm gonna swing I get down
to But you know, all the people have a lot
to have a lot to offer. And I remember back
in the days, you know, they would prepare for each
(13:17):
winter thing, and today we don't do that today? Is
that change the way we are now looking at stuff?
And we call a common cold? I guess COVID. Well
they got a new name for COVID and they're selling
vaccinations and all that stuff. I guess you can do.
That's what you want to do. Fine, But all I
can tell you is that you should be careful. Well,
(13:39):
you know, I remember Grandma cured everything we had. Now
the doctor says he put it in remission. So all
these things we learned, All these things I know about.
So if you listen to the show, you're gonna find
out how to live your life. Well, I'm knowing doing great,
doing whatever I want to do, our bowl or offered
(14:00):
or whatever, and I'm happy. And that's what's important knowing
how to be happy, knowing that you only have one
thing that you have in control of, and that is
your mind. That is what you have in your head.
That's all you have. But you haven't been told that.
So we teaches you how to think about that. We
(14:22):
teach you how to think about it. I don't know
about say teaches, but I mean to say that, but
that we do that, and there's no remission to anything
that we teach. So listen to the show every week.
You're going to learn how to benefit from show and
enjoy yourself and make your life very pleasant. And you'll
be jumping up and clicking your heels in another five
(14:43):
or six months if you keep I don't make it.
I can't make any kind of promises like that. I
shouldn't do that, but that's what I think. I think
once you start thinking right, your life was also become right. Okay,
Now today we're going to talk about eating, and a
lot of people don't really realize that there is a
(15:03):
way to eat and we should learn how to eat.
I did because my grandmother was she couldn't read or write,
but she was a nutritionist and she would always teach
us how to eat. So I'm gonna teach you that
not from me, but someone else wrote wrote to all.
Of course I think is really great, but I think
it's something that you should also know because people have
(15:24):
eating problems and they don't know where it comes from,
but it comes from not having the right knowledge of
how to live. So if you want to learn about yourself,
you want to learn how you can make yourself the
best you can be. Keep listening to let Grandpa speak
and we'll tell you because I've talked common sense. That's
what I teach. Common sense, and that's what you need.
(15:46):
Common sense and wisdom. That's what's you get here. Okay,
I'll be right back with the show to tell you
about how you're eating is affecting you and your life
and how you can make it better. So they don't.

All right, there we go, that's our intro, coming back
into show. I forgot to talk about our expansion. You know,
I used to always say this, we were the number
one show on the internet, and now I guess that's
coming true. That's one of the things that I teach
you know what you think, how we say and bring
(20:21):
things into our life. We don't pay any attention to it,
but we teach you how to pay attention to it. Anyway.
We're gonna be on on these different podcasts. iHeart Spotify,
chat Box, Apple which is a big one. And but
a Streaker. I think it's Streaker and it may be
some some other ones that we're getting.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
Spreaker, Grandpa spreaker with a.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
P uh sqreaker.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Speaker, spreaker s p r e A k e r.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Yeah, that's what I got. Streaker. That sounds like I
said something else. I guess anyway I said streaker chat
and all those that's wonderful us. Thank you. We expanding.
It's very wonderful for us to expand. I always used
to say we're the number one on the internet, and
I still say that with the number one show on
the internet and around the world. Everybody listens to us,
(21:15):
or they will in time. Okay, today we're gonna talk
about you know, we always give you something that you
could use and something that you can benefit from. On
the show. We're sort of informal, you know, we're bringing
down them like I'm talking to you in your living room.
And that's the way I'll do it, you know, for you,
And it's so that you can understand, because if I
(21:36):
came on with a lot of experts this and experts
that they're gonna talk a lot of stuff and use
words that you may not understand. But I'm going to
tell it to you just like we're sitting down having
a conversation talking. Okay, so we're gonna talk about eating.
A lot of people don't realize how important eating is.
I can tell you my own experience of eating. I
(21:58):
used to weigh two hundred and twelve eleven pounds and
I'm five for three, so you know, I I would
really big, and I guess I was still attracted. But
it was just too much weight that I was carrying around,
so I figured I had to lose it. I tried
everything I could think about, all them diets and things,
(22:20):
some of them and just didn't work. And I was
married at the time. My wife she was like that
because now I'm trying to lose weight, which she wanted
me to do anyway, But anyway, I never did lose
the weight. So I decided to go to the VA
and and I listened. I took a lesson on how
to live and eat, and they had a dietitian at
(22:42):
the Veterans Administration that taught and learned about food and
how to eat. And it was a blessing. It's one
of the best things that I return got out out
of the service with just one of the many things
of being there, but it is you know, I can
teach you things like many many of our people were
found out eating. You can lose You could focus on
(23:04):
eating to lose weight, and you can do that too.
I'll do it all the time. I've lost from two
hundred and eleven pounds I'm down one now to one fifty.
So if and I could go below that if I
wanted to, and I don't, I just it's just my habit.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Now.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
I'll explain to you what I learned later on as
we get in. But okay, the number one thing that
they're talking about for being the cause of having digestive
and other problems in your body is eating a meal
with fruit. Now, I eat fruit every morning. That's my
breakfast is fruit. I'll try to get something in my stomach.
(23:41):
I want to coat my stomach so as I put
in anything harsh in it, like a chemical or a prescription
or something like that, it won't harm the lining of
my stomach at least that's what I'm thinking. That's what
I believe here, all right. Fruit is an amazing sort
of antioxidants, full of vitamins, minerals, It has a lot
of digestive enzymes, and it is very good for you.
(24:04):
It's very body. You should eat it loose thes. Two
portions of fruit a day. That's what some people say. Well,
what better time after a meal is when you eat
you know, like you if you eat a meal and
you want to have like your dessert afterwards have a
piece of fruit. That would be one of the things
you can do wrong. Fruit. Fruit is digested very quickly,
(24:33):
and there are special enzymes that break down the fruit.
So if you eat fruit alone is what they're saying.
If you eat fruit alone, it's easy for your body
to break it down. But if you eat fruit after
you eat and something else, it won't happen like that.
It will set in your stomach. It would turn to
a bacteria and you're already digesting food, so you eat
(24:57):
it afterwards. Fruit needs to be he digest it immediately,
so you should eat it. Better to eat it on
an empty stomach than I mean, you do it after
you eat purpose. So if you're gonna eat fruit, do
it on a empty stomach. Okay, Well, some people say
I'm eating fruit, and I'm just that and the other.
So I don't eat sugar the other eating fruit can
(25:19):
be healthy for you. I'll agree, So that's fine. Now.
The second thing they talk about weight and having problems
with eating is gluten. I never even heard of gluten before.
If you like me, gluten is something that just came
from here. Reads it. Root of tolerance is someone I
never knew what it was somebody told me, so are
(25:39):
you gluten dog? I don't know what he'd even talking about,
but anyway, now getting to understand it, it's the sensitivity.
Are two surprising problems that you could have as you
grow and your age, and that is gluten. It is
estimated that one in one hundred and thirty three Americans
or gluten tolerance or whatever they suffer from City Act disease.
(26:01):
Then that's over three million people. So it's not our
heart a lot of people, but it is enough. And
I don't know if it's growing or extended, because a
lot of times when they've come up with something that
it's only this many people. Next thing, you know, it's
ten thousand. That's grant tongue. But those not tolerant or
sensitive to gluten, they can avoid. Gluten is a protein,
(26:23):
and that's going to be good for you. A protein.
You know, the body has enzyme designed to break down
the protein. But not everyone can do this. That protein
your body is not suf for some people. Is it's
not breaking it down and digested and putting it in
the system. Well that's for the people who are like
(26:43):
who are not gluten or they're they're not gluting. They're
gluten sensitive. I was saying. Gluten simply says in the
digestive tract, and it's broken down into a gut bacteriod.
If you don't get it, get it out or your
body don't break it down. The breakdown process TRIGG is
the release of gasing. And you have a lot of bloating.
(27:07):
You have a lot of gas and all that stuff
and a double O pain. Uh, you'll be around that.
If you notice some people are doing that, it has
something to do with with with them and how they're
eating and what they're eating. So we can't all eat everything.
Like sometimes I can eat gluten, It don't bother me.
Somebody's eat gluten, it may bother them, So be careful.
(27:29):
Should everyone stop eating gluten? You know? I don't know.
For most people it's safe, it's healthy and nutrient. However,
you should stop. If you have the problem of bloating
gas and and and and and in ingestion, you have
to stop eating that to get rid of that problem.
All right, If you're eating and you're drinking water, and
(27:51):
I'm going to get on more lessons about how you
should eat because I have a spreading word. How I
think you should eat because people say, how are you
so healthy? You look like the sixty years old. You're
beating the guys in the sports you be, and you're
the oldest one here. So I'll give you my my
what I do uh later on, But let's talk about
this drinking water while you're eating. I never drink anything
(28:15):
while I'm eating. I know when you go to the
restaurant they were one time we had the water drought,
they did you given got water. They served water to
you only if you ask for it. If you didn't
ask for water, you didn't get it. But I think
now they begin to wrest all the restaurants I go to.
Now they begin your own water. They come to this
first thing that you want this what are you drinking?
(28:37):
You know? So are you getting now? But I have
never been one who believed in drinking water while you're eating.
As matter of fact, I was taught by my grandmother
that that's the quickest way to start choking yourself. When
you drinking and eating, and at the same time you
do the wrong thing, you may you make a choke yourself.
(29:02):
Other than that, Uh, some people drink water to wash
the food down. They think, well, this is washing the
food down. But at the same time you're dinluting all
the nutrients and that you should be getting for your body.
You're you're, you're, You're the one say, if you were
getting so many Newton's one hundred percent of them, now
you're not. So you you water things things out is dilution.
(29:26):
It does too much, and it takes away the hydro
chronic caloric acid, and it stops if the body from
properly observing absorbing the right nutrients, such an vitamin B twelve.
So for that reason, if I'm having a meal, I
don't drink water, and I don't think you should either.
(29:49):
That's one of the things we need to stop. But
I see people driving have a meal, they get a
big red soda pop, they get in some kind of
something else. I gotta have this, I gotta have money. No,
you shouldn't do that. That's not helping you or your health.
So make sure even though you want to do it. No, No,
we won't do a lot of things like eat candy
(30:09):
all day long, but we can't do that either, So
you should not do that. Do not do that. Stop
trying to drink while you're eating. Eat without drinking, you
don't need nothing to wash it down. That's what it got.
I gotta have a beer so I can wash it down. Young, young, young,
(30:31):
And they didn't need to chew the food up in
the first place. That's where it goes. Okay. The number
four thing they advise us on and about life and
about eating is that eating too spicy or acidic food
is really bad. Spicy exceited food. They're delicious, we all
(30:53):
love it, but they can rehab it on your digestive system.
Your digestive system is very important. So you make sure
you don't overload your digestive system. You want it to
work normally, and it only can handle so much. And
if you don't, if you over and over them putting
a lot of stuff in there, a lot of ask
(31:14):
that's not gonna come out of your body. And you know,
you've seen in people doctor holding the whole or big
old thing and talking about this is sixty pounds of
fat that we got out of one man. You've seen
that before. And if you you're looking at it and
you're saying, wow, that much fat out to come out
of the man out Yep, that's that's where it was.
(31:35):
That's your storing up because the digestive system, like I said,
can only digest so much, so you gotta know what's
right for you. What when writing food you do. I
know how much food I should eat. I know that,
and my stomach also will tell me when to stop.
Speaker 7 (31:54):
Now.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
In the past, I never paid no attention to it
because I was glutting. I was hey if food was
so good, I didn't care if I was full or not.
I kept on eating until I was miserable. And I
and also that's probably how I got to be two
hundred and eleven pounds. But spicy and it city food
increases the theesip acids in your stomach, and too much
(32:18):
acid can back up into your your socker list, and
that's what happened. And then two of the most common
side effects of eating high acid and spider food is
not good because you're gonna have acid reflexes. You're gonna
have all kinds of different problems if you do it.
But I think eating some spicy food sometimes, like I
(32:41):
know that caine, pepper and stuff like that, should be
good for you and it should be helping you. So
they're saying that, I say, with all moderation, I would
see you you should eat this. But there then you
see eat stuff like stick with coffee tea, fruit juices.
I don't like fruit juices at all, Pitchers fruits, I don't.
(33:04):
I like pitchrus fruit, those those apples and oranges and
stuff like that. I don't do alcohol. You can do
alcohol if you want to. Now they got synthetic alcohol
or whatever. I used to buy a shirty temple when
I go out order I drink well. I used to
drink all kinds of alcohol. I knew everything about everything
to come to alcohol. I was born in the alcohol area,
(33:27):
right across the river when kentuck Away they make all alcohol.
I lived in Cincinnati, so I know a lot about it.
But okay, eating too much and too fast, boy, this
is the one that I see all the time with
our young people. Our young kids are big and fat,
as you know. When I came up, I don't think
(33:50):
I met maybe one or two fat kids in the neighborhood.
And I lived pretty big neighbor It's two, that's about it.
That's about Oh. Then I'm thinking two guys who were
really fat at the school. And we love them, and
we love me crazy about them. We tease them all
the time, and they were very cord They understand even
like the kids now talking about bullying. You know we
(34:13):
they know we love them because that's why we were
playing with them. But those were tupaca. But nowadays you
go to one of these schools, there's a whole lot
of fat kids in there. As from eating too much
too fast. We're in a fast food movement. Eat too
fast and bad can definitely need to indigestion and other
(34:35):
stomach problems. When you feel your stomach too quickly, it
doesn't have time to break yourself down, and you're not
chewing it up right. You know, two large particles and food.
You have to stop. You have to slow down. You
can't have say fast food. That puts the thing in
your mind that I got to eat fast even though
(34:56):
you're not thinking about it. You see it fast, so
your mind, so dealing with it. Eating too much can
also lead to indigestins and when you fill your stomach
over it and you may increase the risk of acid reflux. Again,
so it talks too much food would take up take
longer for your bite to digest. And I have a
(35:17):
syriog that I think about that which I was sold
as a kid. But food trapped in your trapped there
in your food sitting in your stomach, and that food
is not digested because all the food will not be digested.
The intestines are far too long. The digestion the adjestent
time food is trapped in those intestines, and it may
(35:41):
lead to overproduction of gas and it can cause bloating
and it calls our pain the pain. A lot of
times you see men on stomach way out like this,
what's wrong with that? That means there's a lot of
food and fat sword in their body. And now they
come up with what they call a cleanse, the body
cleans you know, you heard about it, where they're supposed
(36:03):
to be able to remove all that spat the other
the other than that, they're gonna find out that you
have all this pat fat stored into your body. And
the reason why all that's fat and bacteria is stored
into your body is because you're not eating right. You're
not eating proper. We're not doing the right things we
should be doing. So, like I say, we're eating too fast,
(36:26):
we're eating too much of the wrong food. These foods
are not being digested and so you think, oh, I
hate this but that food is not being digested. It's
still sitting in your stomach as a bacteria, and that's
what you don't want. Okay, let me let me go ahead.
How to improve your gut health naturally is what I'm
(36:49):
at now, and I'm gonna talk talk to you about that.
They're saying, Once you know what causes all these different
problems in your stomach and everything, it's important that you
correct you're eating habits and it is change the way
you approach your meals, and you'll find out that your
body is a lot better. Your body, don't feel tired, lethargic,
(37:12):
your body, don't go through all the stuff that you're
going through. The pains and different things that you're having.
All that stuff is related. So I'm gonna tell you
what my secret is and how I do it. A
few simple changes to the way you eat can drastic
reduce any problems you have. I don't believe you should
be sick, and this is what I think you should do.
(37:33):
All right, I'm gonna teach you exactly what they taught
me on how to eat properly, because I know most
of us don't. I see us out eating to eat properly.
You need to slow down how fast you eat. Some
people like a vacuum cleaner. We sit down to eat,
(37:53):
they're through eating, and I'm saying, what you finished? He said,
your finas eating already? Damn, honey, helly do that? You
know so? Because they got and swallowing the food out,
chewing it. That is the main thing you must remember
when you're eating. Chew the food up fine. The thing
(38:14):
that was taught to me as a child. My grandmother
had to me, chew your food up fine, so when
it digests, it's easier for your digestive system to digest
the food and put it in your system. And don't overeat.
As a kid, I don't care how many times I
was told that don't overeat. I always over ate because
(38:37):
when I would eat back in the day, they would
save dessert after you had ate your big meal. So
I eat the big meal and I eat, but I'm
still going to get my dessert because it's sweet. And
it was all the wrong things to do, because I
would suffer a lot from eating wrong and eating eat
(39:00):
and that was a problem. So when I learned how
to eat, my whole body changes. I feel light, I
feel good, I feel great, I don't have to worry
about it. I do have joint pain like everybody do,
but I don't pay no attention to that very much.
Then it don't really bother me that much. I don't
(39:20):
let it get to me. To the point, rom and
I do a lot of exercise. If you ride a bike,
you will help your joints that way. If you try
to pound and walk and you feel your joints, you're
just gonna hurt more and some people, if you can
do it, it's the good thing to do. If you
can walk, when your joints are hurting you, and you walk,
your joints will stop hurting you. After you walk about
(39:44):
five minutes, your body will will come back into the
normal seven stop hurting. You have to. You have to
find ways to deal with these problems because doctors don't
tell you that. They don't tell you how to deal
with your joints hurting you. They don't tell you how
to deal with pain in your knees. They don't tell
you how to deal with bloating stomachs, all these things.
(40:06):
And point, when I go to the doctor, that's what
I want to hear. And I go to the doctor,
or don't eat too much. Well, you know, I like
the idea of learning all the different things of why,
which gives me the motivation to do the right thing.
That's gonna help me. Because if I'm out somewhere and
I gotta grab a script in night, I'm go and
(40:28):
get me a hamburger or something like that, and I'm
eating it on the way and everything, all of that
is wrong. Don't do that. It's better not just say.
Let your stef stay home, ry a little longer until
you can sit down and eat your mail. Right, sit down,
take your time. I do this to learn how to
eat right. I would take my fork. I'll put the
food in my mouth and put the fork down and
(40:51):
then chew it. It's the best way because before I
put the food in my mouth, before I get that food,
I'm already sitting figuring out how to put more food,
and I'm getting my fog loaded up already. Man, I'm
putting that in my mom about putting that that is
wrong eating, and we all do that. So we need
(41:12):
to stop and realize it's our eating that has a
great deal to do with us being bloated and overweight.
So slow down, chew your food up, Let your food.
Go to the system and let your food is fine
toun and everything it passes out of your body. Don't
(41:32):
let build up the food up where you got, all
that food setting up in your stomach, turking the bacteria, stinking,
thinking and fit, making you feel bad and making you
around other people. So you want to get you want
to stop that. Eat right, learn how to eat right.
(41:55):
If I'm not teaching you here, get some go to
find a nutrition let them tell you how to eat right.
Your stomach tells you when you've had enough. Your stomach
will tell you. And you might just save some money
too by not eating. But anyway, I got a call
on the phone. Call you there, Hey, Grandpa, how are
(42:16):
you doing. I'm doing very well. I hope I'm getting
the point across the people that they can be healthy,
strong and live a good life if they learn to
eat right. Because of what goes in your mouth is
what causes us all our problems.
Speaker 8 (42:31):
What you say is so helpful. However, have you seen
the prices on stuff? Who can eat? With the cost
of food the way it is. Strawberries are fine ninety
nine a pound, grapes of five ninety nine a pound.
Those used to be ninety nine sinider. But there hired
(42:56):
in gasoline costs now, so you might as well go
out and drink some gasoline before you get some food.
So all right, So then you got busy free, acid free,
(43:17):
m dyme free. You don't even know what kind of
food you can buy with all these directions that you got,
can you? They tell you what time, They tell you
what time or day they eat it, and just like you.
I'm sorry, Papa, but I do drink a beer when
I eat dinner. That's the only vice, that's the only body.
(43:43):
What did you say?
Speaker 1 (43:45):
I was trying to say, Well, ask you what you
were saying.
Speaker 8 (43:47):
Again, Oh, I do drink of beer when I eat
my dinner. I know you told us don't drink anything
when you eating no liquid, no liquid. But that's not
only vice. I drink of beer when I'm eating dinner.
(44:08):
But no, I don't drink I don't drink liquid with
every other food. But when I eat dinner, I have
a beer. Don't ask me why that's the way I
do it.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
Iever do what you want to do. I don't care
what you do. I just tell you the things that
happened to you if you do it.
Speaker 8 (44:31):
However, I'm one of those people who lost thirty pounds
like you. I lost thirty pounds. I was two forty
now i'm two ten. So but what I did is
is I eat only half of whatever it is that
I get, and I find out that as long as
(44:54):
I got some food in my stomach, then I'm okay.
Here's the one more thing. If you got to go
to the restroom and you got to relieve yourself, be
patient with allowing your bowels to move. Some people want
their bows to move in a hurry, or if there's
(45:15):
something that if it's hard to push out, they'll try
and force it out. Or take a moment that you
sit and patiently wait for your bowels to activate so
you can get the comfort of having the good done.
Speaker 1 (45:35):
Okay, that's very good. That's good.
Speaker 8 (45:37):
Let's just sad, and that's that's that's my story and
I'm sticking.
Speaker 1 (45:43):
To it, all right. I thank you for calling it.
I appreciate it. You gave a lot of good information,
and I'll discuss some of that a little bit. I
think I have time. But pa, all right, thank you,
good night. I mean not good. Have to God have
to know I've got some Hey, sometimes I get the
night and day missed up. All right, anyway, I'll talk.
(46:07):
I'll talk with you later. He was just saying about
digesting your food and all that, and what to eat
and also elimination food elimination. All that's very important because,
like I say, if you eat right and everything, your
food and your process is gonna work right. He had
to learn how to eat right. Everybody has to learn
(46:29):
how to eat right. It's not so much about dieting.
This dieting that paying a lot of money for all
these diets. I think if you just do three simple things.
And they told me, said, all of your fists, never
eat more than bigger how your fist is. That's what
they gave me. So now I used to take a
(46:51):
like ice cream scoop, I'll take a scoop of that
of my I my salad. I'll eat like potatoes or
something like that. I'll eat a green something like some
kind of green vegetable or collar greens or whatever it is.
I'll eat about that, but I eat it. I mean
(47:11):
I eating a lot of food because I mean just
a little bit of greens, a little bit of this,
and a little bit of that, and with my bread
and all the other kinds of it's I'm eating I'm
eating a good food. Before psychologically my mind was not
right because I came through the era when they had
the depression in nineteen thirty. All the people that could
(47:32):
think about after the depression was food. And people did
I mean, they made food. Ever on the weekend. People
will make you go to anybody's house on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
They had cooked their big meal every weekend. We did that.
And I think that comes out because they you know,
they had soup lines in nineteen thirty All the way
up to maybe in nineteen thirty eight or thirty nine,
(47:54):
things were rough and food was very important and food
got to be more important into our lives. And I
think but we needed to know how to steal, how
to eat, and how to conduct ourselves with the food.
But we came up, came up with fast food. We
came up with quick food. And they're saying now that
if you eat too much fast food, you're gonna shorten
(48:16):
your life. So I don't you know, that's what the
Sisty show. So eating is very important and that's why
I wanted to do this show. No matter where you go,
what you do you need to realize eating is a
very important thing for you. It's about your health. It's
about you being not being sick or feeling somewhere holding
(48:36):
your stomach talking about I don't feel good. It's about
not having gas and not having the intgestion, and it's
about not making yourself bloated where your something is sticking
away out here. It's part of your eating problem. So
eat small portions and like the man, like he said,
whatever he eat. Whenever I go out to eat, I
(48:57):
always take half of it back home. I eat half
of it. I asked for a dogg box, and I
teach take the rest and I eat it later on
at home. That's the best way I think suits to do.
Every once in a while, ever, not too often. I'll
go have a hamburger maybe once in a month, But
other than that, I don't eat a lot of meat.
(49:18):
I eat fruit, vegetables, chicken, a little turkey. That's about it.
Every once in a while I get fish. But if
you eat that way, you keep yourself clean. You won't
run your hot blood pressure being it being hided up
with all that wrong stuff in your system that cause
of your body to react and you high blood pressures
(49:38):
up or something else is happening, So make sure you
think about it. If you haven't thought about it before.
I can stay healthy if I eat right and as
I age, it won't make any difference. Like I say,
I'm ninety five and I'm doing good. I practice all
the things that I practice what I preach. All you
gotta do is that love you take. Have a wonderful
(50:01):
week and I'll see you next weekend. Make sure you
tune in and tell all your friends that tune in.
And we've gotten five more podcasts that we now uh
that we're now on. I think I said them to
you before. Let me do. iHeart Spotify, chat Box, Apple
and Streaker. Oh boy, that's great. Talk to you later.
(50:22):
See you on one of those channels. I know you
can see us everywhere you look around with the number
one show on the internet. Talk have a good one.
