Hello, everybody. Welcome is another edition of Let's Talk Broncos.
I'm excited to be here today. We are in full
draft season. Last episode, if you guys missed it, we
did a first round mock draft. We Zach and I
made every selection up until the Broncos pick and then
made their pick. This time around, the idea of the

show is to hop on one of these simulators and
we're gonna do the full seven round. We're not making
the picks for everybody, just the Broncos picks. I think
we're using PFF.

but how we think the board might shake out to

two when I'm working the game, So maybe that's a problem.

started here, right, does anyone have any adjustments they want
to make to this? I have yet, even this is
my first mock draft of the year, Everybody, I haven't
messed around with this at all.

I did one. You did one one on Twitter, like
a few weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
What did you learn from it? Did you have it
to these same settings?

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I learned more from last year. I feel like last
year I did more of these with all the quarterback
buzz and all that. I was doing more of these,
and I learned that if you do the PFF board,
you get some weird rankings because they've got their own opinions,
which is fair, but it weighs those individual opinions maybe
too heavily. I think the more general consensus is better,

but if people disagree.

I'm kind of leaning towards less of a care for
positional value because I think in this class, especially where
there aren't that many premium players, I think that care
for positional value is going to be lesser, and we're
going to see running backs, tight ends, safeties taken a
little higher. Now even off ball linebackers, you know, when
there's a do at that position, and then draft needs

or draft for need. I don't know where to put
that one, you know, I think that's a little towards
the heavy end of the scale, makes sense to me.
And then randomness. If you put that too high, it
kind of causes absolute chaos. So some randomness believing it
leaving it on the lower end there.

by Travis Hunter to the Browns. Caml Woard slides to
three to the Giants. Mason Graham goes to the Patriots,
Ashton Gente to the Jags, Will Campbell to the Raiders.
Ted McMillan to the Jets. That actually be a pretty

fun pairing with the Garrott Wilson there, John A. Barron
to the Panthers, Menboo to the Saints, Tyler Warren to
the Bears. H Campbell to the Alright to the forty
nine Ers. Uh, Mike Green to the Cowboys.

Will john If I've ever seen a Cowboys picks?

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah, their last pig free agency expenditure was Greg Hardy,
so you know they've got a type. Will Johnson to
the Dolphins, Malachi Starts to the Colts, Matthew Golden to
the Falcons. That's another fun young wide receiver parrying there,
Eziraku to the Cardinals, Kenneth Grant to the Bengals. I

think that pick's gonna happen for real. That one makes
a lot of sense to me. Stewart to the Seahawks
and mikel Williams to the Bucks. There's a lot of
players I think the Broncos would be interested in left here.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
There definitely are. I think this is like, I mean,
this is ideal draft board for the Broncos. And let
me tell you that you said still on the board. Yeah, Okay,
I also, like the first you should look at it
with the quarterback. That's what I was just thinking, was
should you look at a trade down with a team
that needs one. I don't think this is realistic. I

don't think should or will be here when the Broncos
are picking, unless there's like some Larmie tounsl situation going on,
we should if we see should order a gas mask,
probably he might be here. But and then also, I
mean we could stay pat Zach and there is a
lot of good options here guys that I don't think
people would imagine.

Let's look at the trade first maybe, and then look
at the prospects, because I know the Giants are a
team that's been rumored as a possible trade up, but
with them going Camward at three, doesn't make a lot
of sense for them to trade up for a quarterback.
The Saints, I guess maybe could, but that doesn't really

make sense with where they are in their timeline blowing
everything up. The Jets trying to think who else am
I missing? Anybody that makes it? The Rams, you know,
with Stafford getting up there, they've been tied to quarterback
some but I don't know. I don't know if I'm
really seeing the team that makes a lot of sense

to come up and get them.

What trade offers do we have here? Can we look
at the trade offers and then I can see what
teams makes sense?

I don't think so. We can only see the teams
that are interested, which I don't know if that is.

Yeah, which is odd interested? The only doubt, you know what,
I should just say the two teams that aren't. The
two teams that aren't are the Steelers in the forty
nine ers every other team it is at least possible
to trade back with. I'm trying to think what makes
some sense though. We could look at the Rams, right,

that would make some sense if they wanted to get
their quarterback.

So what options here? I think a lot of uh
Broncos country would be interested in the meccabuga from Ohio
State to wide receiver. I just put out an article recently,
I think it was just yesterday, maybe it was two
days ago. It was yesterday or two days ago, outlining
that there are still two wide receivers available, that the
broadcasts will be interesting, which also interested in, which indicates

that the Broncas are interested in a wide receiver. The
two guys he outlined were Keenan Allen and Elijah Moore. Uh,
two slot guys. I think Amuka could definitely fit this
type of role for the Broncos. And then also, you
know they called in on Stefan Diggs and Cooper Cup.
People were getting slandered on the timeline. I mean, hey,

but I for saying they had interest in them. I
think things are released for a reason. The Broncos were
interested in them, and that is public for a reason.
It wasn't just a cold call to him, in my
in my in my opinion, so I think the Broncos
could be interested in wide receiver at this pick, just
looking at the off season. Amaro Hampton, really good running

back from U n C. A guy I really really
love he is running. Gave him two to.

Me and we gave him to the Broncos in the
other mock draft. So I do think it might be
good to go a different direction here, even though a
Mario and Hampton makes a lot of sense.

Mm hmmm, I agree. And then Colston leveland this really
good tight end, fluid mover, literally a guy. When Michigan
was having problems at wide receiver, they threw out the exposition,
did fine at it? Guy, You look at film when
I watched him wide open a lot, didn't get a

ton of get a ton of targets even though he
was wide open. Quarterback issues down there at Michigan this
last year. Is there anybody else? Can you scroll down

Zach Luther Burden at the top. I know some people
will want that.

Josh would want him, Luther Burden. He's a big Luther

He's another one. Derek Harmon, of course has some interest.
I know Darius Alexander has some interest, but he's like
twenty six on the defensive line. That's a no no

Off the bat? I'm kind of taking Hampton out of
it because I don't just want to do the exact
same thing we did last time. But if you disagree, uh,
speak up. I'm thinking Agbuka one of the options for sure.
Walter Nolan the stuff there we we kind of alluded
to it in our first round talk, but there's just
some weird character stuff there dating back to even when

CU was looking at him as a transfer you you
brought up and I remember that to the negative buzz
surrounding him. But he's definitely an option that makes sense.
Is kind of that three technique. The Broncos could use
Coleston Loveland you mentioned. He makes some sense. Of course,

Gray's Abel. They could use alignment on future at really
any of their spots. That'd be a premium investment there
Derek Carmon, Derek Harmon. The top ones for me, i'd
say are probably Harmon and egg Buka.

Where does in terms of just best player, where does
Colson Levlin ring for you?

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Of these guys, I feel pretty similarly to him as
I do about egg Buka, So up there. I will
agree with the chat. The chat did make some good points.
While I was going like, I don't know who would
make sense to trade up, I was overlooking both the
Browns and the Titans as teams that you know, in

this reality, they didn't take the quarterback high, so they
would make sense for a trade up. A trade down
here for the Broncos, I do think would make a
lot of sense. Uh but yeah, I the best player
on the board, i'd say is for me ag Buka Loveland.
I know some people would go crazy about it, but

Jaylen Walker. I would not trust Advance Joseph to develop him,
but I think he's a pretty exciting prospect for me.

Colton Levelin's the best player on the board for me
that like, of these guys, I'm not gonna sit here
and say that I've watched every single player. I mean,
we're gonna get in part of this where I'm gonna
lean on the chat because I haven't watched seven rounds
worth of players here, but Colson Levelin to me is
out of these guys my favorite prospect that Evan Ingram

of it all makes it a little difficult for me
to imagine where I'm seeing him on the field in
year one because if I am running an inline tight
end and I'm looking for blocking, I think as a rookie,
like Coloton Levelin is a rookie, I think we've underestimated
his blocking ability a little bit or maybe even a lot,

But I still think Adam Troutan is probably your better
blocker while Cleveland is a rookie in the NFL, I
would want him more as my move tight end as
a rookie. So it's hard. It's getting difficult for me
to figure out where I play him right now. And
I know that I know that the first round isn't

necessarily about what is happening in their first year. I'm
big on that. Every single season, I'm talking about, Hey,
it's an investment towards the future. How does this look
two years or three years down the line, instead of
how does it look one that doesn't do as much
for me, But man, it is harder for me to
see that pick right now. Do you agree with me?

And I definitely, And I think it's more than just
I think people get hung up on that, and it
is the right idea. You know, these draft picks or
picks for the future. It's not just about year one.
But if you want to get really down into the
nitty gritty like contractual details of it, you're drafting a
player for four or five years, five if it's a

good pick, four if not so much. But that's twenty
percent of the rookie contract. That's a meaningful portion of
the contract that you're just not getting very much at
all out of that player. And I think there's a reason, Like, yes,
there's Sam reporters that have translated into the league pretty well.
There's a lot of young tight ends that have struggled

to translate into the league that I'd worry about. So
I just you know, if you trade back and he's
there at the bottom of the first that's one thing
for me. But it's just or if there was no
other players here, you know, and it's just like a
I don't love any anyone here but Colston Loveland. Then
I'm like, Okay, yeah, you take that guy. But if

it's you know, I've got like a six' five On
Colston loveland and that's like my highest, grade And i've
got a six to four On. Igbuka i'm Taking agbuka
because he's gonna plug in from day one and be
super useful player for.
