Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, and welcome to Las Vegas. We're here in Vegas
finally for the Sema twenty twenty five show. It is
gonna be an awesome week. We're gonna cover everything for
you guys to see. You're gonna want to hang out
with us. It's funny. Vegas normally packs hisself full of
adrenaline junkies, whether it's gambling, the lights, or even this
iconic sign behind this People line up forever to take
a picture with this sign. But I tend to believe

(00:22):
that this is not the most important sign here this week.
Where are we gonna take you? We'll just hold on
and we're gonna go there. So from that sign to
this iconic sign right here, that's right, ladies and gentlemen,
this is a SEMA sign. Over one hundred and sixty
thousand people every year lineup to take a picture in
front of this sign.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
What signs a little bit more important?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I don't know. I'm gonna have to leave that to you,
but I'm telling you, Seema is such a huge event, right,
They have so much things. It brings so many different
types of people, and everybody stops to take a picture
in front of this sign.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
So they can show it to all their friends.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I mean, look, we're here too, right filming right in
front of it so that you can see us in
front of the Sema sign.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I don't know what it is.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Sema sign, Vegas sign. They they're both signs, but they
both work for us. We got a lot to show you, guys.
There's tons and tons of great cars here. We've already
got a sneak peak. We're walking the lot. We're kind
of creeping around. They're not set up, they're not open yet,
and that's the reason why I can get in front
of this sign and take a picture. But I tell
you what, you're not gonna want to miss everything that
we have in store for you. Just over the shoulder

(01:27):
that you can't see are some great cars that I
can't wait to take a look at. They have all
kinds of stuff being still unloaded and brought in. Everybody's
still setting up for the show. But we're here just
a little bit early because we wanted to get a
sneak peak, which I'm gonna share with you right now.
So you all about the Kamaro life, Well maybe this

(01:48):
nineteen sixty nine behind me has everything that you need
from supercharger to roll bars. I tell you, this thing
has it all. One thing here at SEMA that we've
definitely seen over the years is when it comes to Kamara,
as it comes to any type of car that's out here,
they have it from custom, retro mods, you name it.
We've even seen electric muscle cars out here. SEEMA provides

(02:09):
something for every single person. That's the best thing about it.
The people, the cars, the horsepower. It's everything that you
want in one place. And what a better place to
be had. But in Las Vegas, Nevado with horsepower, rather
it's glimmering lights, or it's the slot machines, whatever it is,
it attracts you. We get attracted to the horsepower here
at Simo because there's plenty of it on tap all

(02:30):
day long. Now, the event officially has not kicked off,
and we're actually out here getting a sneak peek a
bunch of different stuff. But this car right here is
bad to the bone. One thing I like about this
car is not only just the black pain job on it,
but the fact that they do what I love and
we're doing on one of our projects as well, is
we're color matching everything as well, so from the interior
to underneath the hood, the engine and everything. It is

(02:51):
all color matched out so everything ties in. It gives
a complete look right down to the calibers. So it's
a nice setup. Like I said, it's really what you
guys are into. We see a lot of examples of
all the different type of cars that are here, especially
in different types of classes and stuff. Which is what
makes this fun is to see what the envision of
their builder is and then he brings it to.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
The table for you to take a look at.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
And it just makes it a very very awesome and
combetitive event as well when everybody's building cars to see
who's gonna have the best build off. I got a
lot more examples for you guys. You guys are going
to want to see them all. I wanted to stop
this car so you guys can enjoy and appreciate as
much as we do.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Let me show you some others right here.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So if somebody was to ask me what my superpower was,
I'd definitely tell you it's not the ability to pick
the right wheel the right setup. Rather be dep offset
you name it, whatever you want to call it. It's
just not my forte. I find myself here in the
vor Steiners booth and they have beautiful, beautiful cars set
up here with great wheels, except if it was up

(03:56):
to me, I would never get it right. The great
thing about this, guys, is I found somebody who can
tell me exactly what it is is missing. So I'm
gonna introduce you guys to them, and we're gonna get
to the bottom exactly what it takes to pick out
the right wheel for your car. So I found the
expert for us to go ahead and try to simplify
this process. I told you, guys, wheels just aren't my thing.

(04:17):
I have a love hate relationship with wheels like you
wouldn't believe. And I'm staying here with Daniel. Daniel, we
were having the conversation before when we start talking.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Wheels, I mean I love them.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
They make or break a project, right, And with that
being the offset stuff we were talking about, You're like
the math, I don't math well when it comes to wheels, guys.
I mean I try, but I could never seem to
figure it out. And every car builder I talked to
says the same thing. They're like, this is going to
be the makeer or breaking for my project.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
How do we get past it?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Tell us something, you know, where where do we go
from there?

Speaker 2 (04:44):
I mean, it's an interesting.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Thing, right, I feel like you can build a whole vehicle, right,
we're talking about make or break right. You can have
ninety percent everything dialed in the vehicle looks amazing, and
you put the wrong set of wheels on the car
and it ruins everything. Now, the opposite is also true.
You can have a not so great build. But when
the right wheel goes on and the Internet can, let
you know, it goes viral. Right, You're like, oh my god,

(05:07):
I can't believe you got that wheel to work with
that car.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I never thought of it. It just works.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
It works, And I've offended the internet a lot, like
I've built a variety of cars, Like I've taken like
Aston Martins and put JD and wheels on it, and
the Internet is very polarizing. Something are like this is
a mix of genres. But some people are like, oh
my god, I would have never thought this. This just works.
It makes sense. So there is a massive payoff when
you get the wheels done right.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
So typically, I mean I like to start from like
characteristic of the car, Like what is that, like, what
is the spirit of the car. Are you trying to
create something aggressive? Is it a more sports look, is
it a luxurious look? Is it a sporty look? And
based on that, it'll help you narrow down the styles
and choices. Right, And there's function, there's performance, and we're
talking about like wheel math. Like I truly believe I
have friends in this industry that I consider like wheel savants. Right,

(05:54):
you tell them the car that you have, and their
minds just like it's like beautiful minds like numbers just
wrote to I.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Get those emails of those people, because I just can't
do it. I'm serious.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
I rely on online again.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I've been doing this for almost twenty years, and wheel
math is something that I struggle with. I use luckily,
I use like online. You know, they're great tools now
with like wheel offset calculators and stuff. And I'm slowly
starting to understand that now here. This year, for the
Sema Show, for example, i built five personal Sema cars
and then I've also managed five other cars for this
booth itself.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
So you can imagine.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Managing wheel math for ten different cars, Like I have
to remember what tire size for what wheel with what offset.
I mean, there's a massive spreadsheet that goes into it,
so I understand it. But I think when you start
with what the ultimate look is that you're going for,
then it becomes easy.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
So here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
I do it old school right, and everybody laughs at
me because and I don't find it sit so strange.
Late at night, you're scrolling, You're looking, I go down
the rabbit hole so deep. I'm literally grabbing a car
that I'm interested in. I don't even own these cars yet.
I'm like, I like to own that car. Maybe we'll
buy that car. But okay, now what do I do
with that car? And I'm literally taking pictures of wheels

(07:03):
and then photoshop in the wheel onto the car to
see what everybody's like, you know, there's a simpler way
to do that. I'm like, there might be, but this
is my way. Leave me alone.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Give you a funny piggybacking off that story.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
When I started this and I was a young auto enthusiast,
and again it's not that long ago, but it feels
like it's long ago. Before like I understood how to
use photoshop. I would again go to on the internet
print a profile picture of a car. Let's say I
was building a civic at that time, right, and I
would go through these magazines that were out at time,
and I would cut out the wheels and just keep
the body and I would slide that cut out like

(07:33):
a paper doll over.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Different wheels to get the idea.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
But that's the same concept with photoshop now, right, So
now we have better tools to be able to visualize
this now, of course, hear our voice center. As a
creative director, I have a whole art team behind me,
so we can visualize how this looks with three D artwork.
With three D renders, we can get some very hyper
real pre visualization stuff.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
So we're pretty good about it now.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Very rarely do we get surprised by the wheels anymore
because we can see something so true to form and accurate.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Now.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yeah, so here's the thing. AI works crazy, right, So
I like AI. And the reason why is because with
the new technology, right, I can go ahead and do
all the stuff I've been clipping and taking pictures up
and posting and you know, taping together. I mean I
can remember going back to magazines, right and looking at
magazines and cutting pictures of rims out and trying to
put it on the car to kind of get the idea,

(08:21):
and that's going back old school, but it worked. I
mean so now with AI technot, I can say the car,
I can say the wheel, like I can shout out
your guys as the name and be like all right,
and that's what I want to do. And I put
it together and it gives me a little bit. Now
it's not perfect, but it helps me some of that math.
Do you guys have something set up that could kind
of give us an idea as far as laying the
car out ahead of time?

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:42):
So again, like I said, it's kind of the marriage
of both. Right, I think AI is an incredible tool
for what I call previz. So I always tell my team,
let's not be afraid of AI. Right, let's figure out
how to use it actually to school.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Right.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
So I use it as previz because I don't want
to spend our artists like six hours of their day
doing a hyper realistic render just to realize it's not
gonna work. AI can whip this out in five minutes.
And we realized very quickly, let's not go down this
rabbit hole. Let's pivot. Now, maybe we'll try a different
solid wheel. Maybe we'll do motorsport mesh. Maybe we'll do
a five spoke, maybe we'll do a fork design. And

(09:13):
once AI gives us something that's not accurate, but it
gives us enough to say there's something here, then I
go hey, I can go to my artists say hey, Paula,
can you do a hyperrealistic render using a specific wheel,
a specific car, And then we get something more tweed
to point and again it really minimizes the surprises that
happen now with all the previous Now, so.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
This build here behind us inspiration where it come from.
I mean you just start kind of well, you know
what wheel you want to use, and you've picked the car.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
And this one's a little bit different because this is
a more of a comprehensive build. This is actually a
new sort of brand for us called CTR Classical Switing Restoration. Sure,
so the idea behind it is we were studying a
gun Thwarts as a sister company over the brand, and
they're building these high end two million dollar Porsches. But
I recognize that these clientele are doing two things. Yes,
they're buying a beautiful car and machine. Yes, there's a

(10:01):
tangible asset that they're buying. But the second thing they're
going through is an experience that white glove experience to
be able to sit down with a design consultant and
custom tailor are one of one car, right right, And
that's what we love as car people. You don't want
I don't want somebody to say, exactly, women don't want
to go to prom and they are the same dress.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Nobody wants the same diamond ring. Don't worry exactly, guys
don't want the same car.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Now actually carts and coffee, right, So Gunther provides that
experience for clients and I realized that's half the magic,
and so we wanted to create that opportunity through CTR
with other applications outside in the nine ninety three and
we're able to do that, and we're.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Launching this with the four I eight. So again same philosophy.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
We can sit down and we can highly configure and customize,
and so we do have applications specific four or five
eight magnesium wheels that we have on this car. Now,
what's really great about this is this we want to
stay within the design language of the vehicle itself. What
we want to do is for our consumers, we don't
want you to know where OEM starts and where CTR begins.

(10:58):
Now there's a time and place for you atif car
we're saying outrageous. It's obnoxious, but in a good way, right, right,
But there are certainly cars.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Where you want it to feel like.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
I know this feels like a special edition variant, right,
but not quite sure where to fingerpoint that? And that
also carried makes sure our wheel design. We studied the
evolution of some of the wheel designs in from Ferrari.
We look at the evolution of wheels from Italian exotic
cars and that's how.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
We derived the wheel design that we arrived at today.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
It's very cool. As I walked, I took a look
at the different setup. I see inspiration withinside the cars,
but the inspiration on the side of the wheels, like
the wheels go perfectly with the car. I mean it is.
It's astounding to me how you can take something that's
already so beautiful within the design of the car and
accident so well with your guys's wheels. I mean, it

(11:45):
is absolutely beautiful and you guys have done a great
job of it. If you guys are looking for that
white glove service and you want that setup.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
This is it?

Speaker 2 (11:54):
And if they do, where do they find you? At
ctrdesign dot com. All right, guys, you heard it here.
I love it.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
You guys know wheels are one hundred percent just one
of those things that I wish I could did good
math on. But maybe I now have the connection to
or I can get the math done for me.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
We're gonna find out and we'll talk to you soon.

Speaker 5 (12:19):

Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio, your automotive specialist.
Now back to your host Dave Polach.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Hey, guys, if you can't tell, io, definitely found out
where the party is. This place is packed. Where am
I asked? I'm in Rockaspodsgates Booth and I am hanging
out with.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Wayne Connolly, vice President of New Product Development.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
So Wayne has got tons of stuff here in the
booth for us to see. And if you can't hear me,
I'm sorry, that's probably a good thing, right because your
guys' product is just off the hook here. This is insane, man,
I mean, I don't even know where to even start.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Yeah, there's a lot of product. There's a lot of categories.
We have motorcycle, marine, automotive, all kinds offerings anywhere here.
Lifestyle brings you for audio, we'll follow you there.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
So we were talking a.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Little before the camera got turned on, and I am
one number scent an old school audio guy. I mean,
it's been a while since I've had to put audio
into anything. And you were telling me as I look,
I feel a little bit out of my own it,
just a little bit because everything's changed so much in
technology is crazy, from where we were as far as
building boxes inside our garages to trying to put as
many speakers where they didn't fit into a car. It's

(16:42):
really changed now. Now everything's really kind of like product
placement as far as being made for that vehicle.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
Yeah, everything is application specific. It's kind of gone over
the days of you're in my alcoholic childhood, where you
just made universal product to kind of power separated everything.
Now the vahicles have gotten so integrated, the systems have
gotten so much better. There's more speakers, they're a speaker.
Placement is better. So the OEM and the aftermarket world

(17:10):
have really evolved. Even l people's shop for speakers and
products me and used to look up what's a six
and a half? Yeah, right now they're looking up what's
for my twenty twenty three to four f one p fifty.
So this line kind of of new speakers shows that
change really well, it's it's no longer a good, better
best offering. Now we have three different segments that are

(17:31):
focusing on fitment as opposed to just power handling to
separate them.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
So our big segments for this whole show has really
been based around the amateur guy.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Right, So the guy who's just.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Starting out has no clue, is trying to forgeut where
to start at. So if you're giving an advice, let's's
say he just completely came out of nowhere, right, He's like, look,
I got myself a project card. Let's just say because
the new up and coming thing or has been for
a little bit, isn't meauta right, So everybody's customized me
out of and he just picked one up because you
they're so customizable right now. And he's like, I want

(18:02):
something that sounds good. It's easy for me to go
ahead and put and he has never done before.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Where would you tell him the start at?

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Yes, So I think for that guy, the first thing
you're gonna want to learn is, are be educated enough
as to what type of speaker system do you have?
Do you have a coaxle where the tweeter is in
the center of the speaker, Do you have a component
where the tweeter is separate, or do you have a
three way where it's got a larger driver in the
bottom of the door, a mid range and a tweeter.
So our line represents that exact consumer in essence. First thing,

(18:32):
let's figure out what you have in the vehicle. Then
we have size offerings. Not only that, we have things
like this Wolfer ring that lets you put our speaker
into over one hundred different applications. As you can see
the taps or just make it I see everywhere. You
just break it off. If you have a GM or
if it's a mouse that you just break off. The
types that you need They're also universal are flippable, so

(18:54):
it changes the mounting elevation. Click said, as the application
has gotten so specific and honestly really individualized, the product
offering or replacement has to follow it. So for the
guy going in his driveway trying to do a speaker
change out, this is the line for you. It comes
with plug and plate connectors. We know you don't have
a bunch of crim connectors. It comes with all the

(19:16):
screws to mount everything. It cuts to the cutout template.
Everything is very installation focused on this whole new line.
For that DUI guy, you want him to have everything
you need? How does it so?

Speaker 1 (19:28):
If you could put legos together, essentially you could probably
figure this out.

Speaker 8 (19:31):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Let's just say that I get to a stopping point
where I'm just like, I'm not really sure what to do.
Video stuff like that to take me along.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
Yes, Rockford are probably our largest strength is our marketing department.
So you'll see with for example, whe our Harley Davidson
kits or any of the application specific stuff that we do.
We have a video installation video. We have an unboxing video,
so if you want to know what's in the box
before you even get the product. You can look that up.
You can see how we've done the installation, what tools

(20:01):
you need, everything the DIY guy needs, honestly.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
So I'm sitting here and you guys haven't seen it,
but we're going to show it to you. Tell me
a little bit about this awesome display view. But you
guys have where'd the concept come up from?

Speaker 4 (20:12):
Of that?

Speaker 1 (20:12):
I mean, how'd you guys start off and how'd you
know that's zactly what you want to do? It is
obviously an ice cream truck. Yeah, okay, tell me about it.
I mean the page on my is crazy, the set
up inside of it, everything you guys have.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Absolutely this one actually is owned by mister cartoon. So
being an artist or being a tattoo artist, you have
somebody that has a whole different skill set than myself
which has representative but we can definitely help them with
the tunes. So we started off kind of in the
early planning phases with him on what would be placed

(20:44):
where and what speaker equipment. But the artistic design of
this is definitely I know, to him.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
It is definitely over the top and it stands out
and let me tell you, it's working on the marketing
side of things because this booth is just packed with
people and they love it. So, you know, like I said,
with being old school punch, it always meant something to somebody,
and it was funny because you know, as a kid
and when I was building cars, it was ironic, right
because you're like, I just see some of the packs
that punch and it fit hand in hand absolutely. So

(21:11):
with going into that, everybody wants that deep down base.
I'm one of those guys that are like, Okay, I
want base, but I want clarity. I want to be
able to hear everything that's being said. But when I
want to get your I know, attention, I wanted to
be there. Where do we go from there?

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Yeah, I mean Rockford's all about full content audio. We
provide an experience and there's always a moment where you
want to listen to your stereo loud or you want
to turn that thing up and enjoy it. So we
always start off with the speakers, but then we always
end up in subwilpers too. Perhaps we Rockford's always been
doing for amplifiers that are make more power than what
they're rated for, in subwipers that could handle more power

(21:48):
also than what they're rated for. So typically we move
everyone into the punch go for lineup depending on the vehicle.
Once again, it's gotten an application specific. So we know
sub wippers that are less than foreign which is thick
for those smaller im at notions, and they're working smaller enclosures.
You and I used to have to get like two

(22:08):
cubic feet out of half Jewish. Usually woofers are working
at like pulling three half a cubic foot of airspace now,
which is much much smaller than anything we ever had.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Four Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
So you know, I tell you guys, I've had a
lot of different cars, and you guys can joke in
one of my favorite cars that I built, and it
was a car that wasn't ixportant to anybody else. I
had a Chevy Cavalier. I put four fifteen's in the trunk,
put as much power total as I could because we
didn't really know what we were doing. I mean, we
were just trying to build power. We're trying to build
sound and stuff like that. So to watch the full

(22:38):
evolution everything come all the way around from guys just
trying to figure it out in their driveway and like
kids like me, you got a couple dollars you bought something,
you got a couple of dollars, you bought something else,
and you had to try to figure out. This really
simplifies everything. I mean, it's right down to the last
little thing that you need. I don't have to worry
about it anymore. It's going to be in the box.
And if it isn't in the box, you got.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
A box for it.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
My first set of speakers was installed in a driveway
in eighty six. Tomorrow. The guys made me reminded me
of that when I was doing the interview and they're like,
why is Punch important? And I was telling them it's legendary.
It's part of my childhood. It's the legacy. It can
almost be a brand of its own, even though it's
underneath Rock one Causegate. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
So the question I ask everybody because people want to
know when they're buying warranty, what we look like warranties.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
We actually made the warranty. So the material selection on these.
A lot of speakers at this price point will have
like a beauty rubber surround that'll break down over time
in the sun. They'll have a cotton spider instead of
a Nomac spider and all those things lead to premature failure.
We're so confident in the materials that we selected, the

(23:44):
assembly process and the procedures that we use, and we
actually gave everybody another whole year warranty. So these all
come with a two year warranty, regardless of whether you
put them in your driveway or you get them installed
by an authorized dealer.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Well, that can cover you, guys, just for Hey, you
never know.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Things happen.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
I can tell you that you can make the best
product on earth, But when you have somebody that's been
willing to stand behind what they're making, that's when you
know you're buying the right product. Before we get out
of here, you got anything else you want to touch on.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
I just wanted you to enjoy the booth. Take it in.
There's a lot of things around here. If you are
at SIMA, please come and see us.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
And if I wanted to find it to buy it,
where would I go?

Speaker 4 (24:21):
To Rockfordfosgate dot com. You can get to any one
of our dealers or the dealer locator from there.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Hey, guys, I've given you every reason to make sure
you put the best product of your vehicle.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
I believe in it.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
I've had it.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
You guys know, I won't talk about something unless I
completely believe about what it is. We got two project
cards were building, as you guys know. We got the
bad Am and we got White Noise. Neither one of
them have stereos in them yet, so you might want
to keep an eye out. You never know what's going
to happen, and we'll talk to you soon.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
You're listening to Dave Plach on Let's Talk Cars Radio.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Dave will be right back.

Hey, guys, day from Let's Talk Cars Radio.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
So for the last two years, if you listen.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
To the show, you've heard me talk about my dream house.
It has been a great experience buying land, building my house,
even selling my old house. One thing I didn't tell
you about was the real estate agent that I used.
I used Bob Bartam from the Perfect House Team in
the real estate group. It's been one of the best
experiences I've ever had. Bob has been there for us
from beginning to end and treated us just like family.

(26:48):
I'm telling you you've heard me talk about this because
it has been one of the truly best experiences that
I've had. If I did not choose Bob, I don't
think that I would have all the best things to
say about building this house. So if you're looking to
buy or sell a home, definitely give Bob a call
at the Perfect House Team in the real Estate room.
You can contact Bob at seven five seven four six

Speaker 2 (28:12):
JF.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Wilow and Sons Incorporated. Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio.
You're Automotive Specialist. Now back to your host, Dave Polach.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Hey, guys, we're hanging out here at SEMA and I
am with Trent from Center Force TRMP man.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
It is good to see you, sir. Thank you, I
appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
So I'm taking a look at all the different PROCs
you guys have set up, and there's a good display
here this year, a bunch of different new stuff.

Speaker 10 (28:47):
Right.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Oh yeah, So I know that if you're in the
car world, this should be no big, huge surprise to
you guys. But they are the leader in the clutch setups,
been around for forty three years nineteen eighty two. Yeah, right,
So I did the math real quick good at quick
Math guys, So tell me about some of the new
proucts you guys have going on, the kind of product
line the different levels and stuff.

Speaker 11 (29:07):
Yeah, so basically, you know center Force, the whole founding
principle behind it is increased torque capacity without sacrificing pedal efforts.
So that's basically what the whole that's what Center Force
is built on, and so early on what sets us
apart from everybody else is you'll see here like these
centrifical weights right here. This is something you'll only ever

(29:28):
see on a center Force clutch, and the books kind
of strange, but the whole concept behind it is that
these weights act as a function of rpm. So as
rpm increases, those weights spread out and they pull up
on the fingers of the diaphragm and add clampload at speed.
And we do that because it's a way to increase
clampload without increasing pedal efforts.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Sotually, the whole thing is light.

Speaker 11 (29:51):
Pedal feel, but more holding capacity our whole principle behind it.
And we do a lot of other stuff too, So
we have basically different like many different called companies, we
have many different levels of clutch basically from one step above,
like a part store replacement clutch that you could walk
in and box it at any your local hard store.
All the way up to like fullblor and race stelf

(30:12):
and so and it all, all those differences are basically
centered around the design of the clutch disc itself, how
many clutches there are discs in some cases, and then
also the friction material and everything. So this is a
good example here, This is our new line of clutches
for one point six one point eight liter miatas.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Those as being huge right now, yeah, yeah, I mean
they're just they're they're a budget track card.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Yeah, so I tell you abright, their entry level if
you're trying to get into the sport, and then you
can go as wild as you want with it, right
to the killer miatas, I think is what they call them, right.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yeah, exactly exact.

Speaker 11 (30:45):
I mean, yeah, there's crazy guys n put ls is
yeah yeah actually yeah. So anyway, but this is a
good example of like the different levels of clutch that
we offer. So, like right here is our Center Force
two that is a full faced disc on both sides.
It's organic friction material. Again, this is mild performance upgrade.
So you've got you know, intake and exhaust, maybe a

(31:06):
CAM or something like that, but you still want something
it's a daily driver you don't want something that's going
to be like an on off switch, right right, that's
a great choice for that take can also take a
lot of abuse.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Next step up is our dual friction.

Speaker 11 (31:17):
And this is one of the things that you mentioned
it before we started our dual friction that that's probably our.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Most popular line.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
That's what I know is guys, yeah, is one the
biggest thing is people ask for all the time exactly.

Speaker 11 (31:28):
So the so with the dual friction, it's a full
face disc on one side, just like the standard here
the cent of course two. But you'll notice that the
friction material on this side is segmented. Well, we do
that for a couple of reasons. One it's it increases
tork capacity. So it's kind of a difficult concept to
to mustard. But the best way it's always been explained

(31:51):
to me is imagine somebody standing on your chest in
a pair of sneakers versus like a pair of high heels.
So with with you know the SS, the load is
going to be spread out and all that, you know,
kind of evenly and it's not gonna hurt is bad.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Uh, you know, a pair of high.

Speaker 11 (32:06):
Heels, all that pressure on one very small concentrated point
that ups the actual you know, pressure that's being applied.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
And so basically the same principle applies here.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
So elephant and high heels kind of thing, right, So yeah,
how's that for a bison? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Yeah, right, one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Because when you say this first thing, I think, oh my,
I just picture an elephantnigh heels. Don't call me crazy, guys,
I don't know why that is, but this is what
I thought of, right, right.

Speaker 11 (32:29):
So so then the next thing, next step up from
that is our dfx. So this is a more traditional
like racing style clutch, a paddle style is of what
it's commonly referred to. But the key difference other but
you know, that same principle still being applied. That's why
we have these smaller pads because that's a higher you know,
higher concentration of pressure.

Speaker 5 (32:50):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (32:50):
But this is also a completely different material. So this
is this stuff is all organic. Uh, this is sarah metallic.
So it's a much more aggressive, uh friction material. And
so basically it's because it's much more aggressive, it's gonna.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Grab that flywheel a lot harder.

Speaker 11 (33:05):
Uh, you know, but the trade off is they're aggressive,
you know, you you you're not gonna just slip away
figure that's going from a go pulling away from a light.
It's more like an on off switch. So really more
of a dedicated track sort of an application.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (33:21):
And then there's some other stuff we do too, So
like we have our billet steel flywheels right there, so
that that's a basically a one step up from a
stock replacement. It's a SUFI certified so which is important
for certain sanctioning bodies.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
And then we also have our.

Speaker 11 (33:35):
Low inertia so you'll notice that the difference difference here
there's all this weight that's been removed from the outside
weight reduction, and it's strategic that all the way around
the outside that that lowers the amount of inertia. And
what that inn turn does is it allows the engine
to rep quicker because it's got less weight it's trying
to get moving. So the result is a much quicker

(33:56):
revving engine, which is something you want on a trap
track car. Whatever trade off Once again, you know, because
everything's about balance, is it's much easier to stall because
there's there's not as much inertia. The engine is not
going to have that weight to tend to want to
keep running, so it's got easier to stop so that
you know, And then there's also an aluminum version if

(34:17):
you want to really get into it.

Speaker 7 (34:18):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (34:19):
But yeah, that's that's basically the quick and dirty rundown
of what we do here.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
So we do a segment called Hey Dave. So Hey
Dave is where our listeners get an opportunity to call
into us and ask us questions. One of the biggest
questions I get all the time is, Hey Dave, if
it was you and you're driving this car and let's
say it's not my street car all the time, but
I am sometimes daily drive into work. Ye, can I
put a race clutch in it? And how long is
it gonna last? The difference if I just went standard clutch,

(34:43):
the benefits, the non benefits of it and stuff. What
would you suggest for somebody that has that going on?
Some of it's a toy, but it's a toy that
every once a while they drive to work, they drive
their grocery store or whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
I get.

Speaker 11 (34:54):
I get that question a lot where it's you know
that it's a guy that's got a pretty dedicated race
car or track car or something. But I still want
to load up, you know, the wife and go get
ice cream on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Say, totally understand. I own a couple of those even right,
I hear you, I hear you.

Speaker 11 (35:09):
But with that, you know, you could get away with
a sera metallic again, and it really depends on power level.
You know, if you're if you're in, if you're north
of like six hundred foot pounds of torque in terms
of your engine, you're pretty much gonna be stuck with
a more aggressive clutch because you just you have that
run capassing. However, there is a bit of a hack.
The hack is you can, in certain applications, say like

(35:32):
an LS or a Bible Mustang or something like that.
Certain applications there is a twin option, So a twin disc,
and I've got a couple of them, we show you.
But a twin disc instead of just like it implies,
instead of one disc, you got two. And what that
does is it doubles the amount of friction surface you
have available. So as a result, there's a lot more

(35:53):
holding capacity. But you can also back off on the
aggressiveness of the friction material itself, so you kind of
get the best of both worlds. You have that nine
hundred foot pounds of old capacity, but it's still organic
friction material.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
There's just a lot more of it, ok, And as
a result.

Speaker 11 (36:10):
You know, it's not going to be as super gravvy
and something that's going to be very, very streatable.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Our SST is a great example of that.

Speaker 11 (36:17):
It's called that's a solid street twin, but it's a
it's an entry level twin disc, good for nine hundred
and twenty five foot pounds of torque just depending on
the application, but organic friction material, still very streetable. It's
going to be a little bit more aggressive than a
single disc, but it's perfectly livable.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
All right.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
So I'll give you two options, right, So we have
two different toys at two different levels. I have a
six hundred and fifty horse power toy that one hundred
percent wasn't built really to be a daily driving car,
but it's what we do with it. And then we
have it capable of twelve hundred horse power. That is
a one hundred percent a looker. It's more you open
the hood and you kind of gough, and it probably

(36:56):
shouldn't be street driven because it really was. But we
put a crazy race inside a street car. Sure, and
those set up of those applications give me the hack
for it to set it up so I can still
kind of make it right.

Speaker 11 (37:07):
And so once again that tipping point typically from like
a single disc versus getting into the twins is right
about that six fifty, right about that that first example
that you had. So at that point I would want
to have a conversation in terms of like what are
you really doing with the car? Is it is it
really more dedicated track or you know, are we putting

(37:27):
you know, five hundred thousand miles a month on the street. Absolutely,
and that would you know, if you're if it's more
street you know, and not quite as dedicated track, I'd
probably stick with a single but definitely like a dual friction,
you know, something that's going to be a little bit
more aggressive. Now that twelve hundred worse example that you
are solidly in twin territory, I mean, there's you just

(37:48):
can't build well, you could build a single disc, but
you couldn't. You'd need a linebacker's left leg to actually
right the clutch, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
So with that, you would saw that you'd be in
twin territors.

Speaker 11 (38:00):
But like our our DIAD which is our high end, right,
but the organic version is good for thirteen hundred foot
pounds of torque.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
But again i'm using like LS example, everybody uses that
as like the the level right. Uh, you know, but
so we have the DS which is organic.

Speaker 11 (38:17):
Uh, that would be perfect for that application, whereas mostly
street like you said, largely a show car, but you
want to be able to drive it a little bit
and you want to be able to get in it
and it's not going to blow the clutch off. So
but we also then have that same clutch. We have
it available in an XDS, which is same clutch, but
Sarah metallic. That one is very aggressive sixteen hundred foot

(38:38):
pounds of holding capacity. You aren't gonna you aren't gonna
blow through the clutch on that, but it's pretty on
off switch. So same saying, but not so same same exactly. Yeah,
So it's all about trade off. So you know, you
just like many things, if you want to go one direction,
you sometimes got to give up something on the.

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Saul.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
Before we get out here. You have this set up
that's over here. That is the new Ford Mustang set up, correct.

Speaker 11 (39:04):
Yeah, Well that's the this is the dark Horse. So
dark Horse is for those that aren't familiar. Dark Horse
is a special racing package that Board released for the
Mustang and they actually it's kind of like the old
I Rock series if people are familiar with that, where
it's it's kind of a spec class race car. They're
technically not supposed to be driven on the street. I

(39:26):
know people do, but they they have there's you know,
they're built to be abused essential line and the factory
clutch in those things is kind of borderline.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
And so is the biggest thing not here right this second.
And with somebody in the family that owns one, it's, uh,
he's not happy with the clutch set up.

Speaker 11 (39:44):
Then, yeah, So with that, you know again and again
if you've if you've you know, added a forced induction,
you have put a supercharger on or something like that,
you know, you're way beyond what the stock clutch because
it's really borderline just in a in a factory.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Yeah, absolutely. And so that that is our diet. That's
our high end twin twin disc.

Speaker 11 (40:03):
And again I have it available as a DS, which
is the organic uh, and the XTS which is pretty
much full on dedicated race stuff perhaps and so you know,
for something that's driven on the street, I would definitely
go to the DS route. But you've got thirteen hundred
foot founds all the BASSI you like, I said, the
clutch is gonna take and with that, you know it's
going to take a lot more abuse as well, because

(40:24):
there's just better components in it, there's better friction material.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
It's not cheap, right, Yeah, you know you're gonna make
a place.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Yeah, horsepower is never cheap. Toys are not cheap. So guys,
I guess the kind of answers all the questions. The
last question I have for you is warranty.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
Warranty?

Speaker 11 (40:40):
Okay, well, standard warranty for Center Force is one year
from the data purchase, so if you have a you
know within that year there's really not a mileage limit
on it either.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
Within that year.

Speaker 11 (40:52):
If you have any issues, give us a call. We'll
happily run you through the process. We'll inevitably, you know,
we'll have you have you check a few things. Just
make sure you know everything up to snoff and everything,
and then from there, if we determine there's something wrong
with it, pull it out, send it to us. We'll
evaluate it, make sure that you know yep, Okay, Well,
I mean because at the end of the day, as
much as we I'd like to tell you that we're

(41:13):
one hundred percent perfect every single time, you know, mistakes happen.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
We're all human at the end of the so and
we'll stand behind Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
I asked that all the time, you guys heard on
the show a bunch of times. It's not when there
is a problem, it's how you handle it in the end, exactly,
and that is what makes the best customer service and
the best companies just like you, guys.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Trent, thank you very much for your time. Sir, We're
gonna go ahead and get out of here. You guys.
Listen up, stuff coming soon.

Speaker 5 (41:42):
You're listening to Dave Palatch on Let's Talk Cars Radio. Dave,
We'll be right there.

(45:04):
back to Let's Talk Cars Radio. You're automotive specialist. Now
back to your host, Dave Polach.

Speaker 1 (45:16):
Hey, guys, there should be no surprise here at seeming
that we find ourselves a bunch of different types of rigs.
One of the ones right behind me is richest rate
we have here. And I'm standing here with Albert. Albert,
this is a pretty nice machine you guy to here, buddy, Yeah.

Speaker 10 (45:26):
This is a really nice build, all thanks to the
guys from Adrenaline. Just really nice, unique build and great
partner for us to introduce a new light into the
market space.

Speaker 1 (45:36):
All right, so let's talk a little bit about that
new life. If you guys can't see right here behind me,
this set up on this thing is actually pretty cool.
I just look at the way that it functions and
the fact that you guys have it set up. There's
a bunch of different ways you can put this amount
this right.

Speaker 10 (45:47):
Yeah, absolutely, you know, we're Rigid Industries. We've been in
the market space for a very long time. We're pioneers
and just bringing new features to the marketplace. One of
the things we did in the last couple of years
is we showcase the way to switch between two different
color tones with our OEM partner, Toyota. So some of
you guys are lucky enough to get that in your
platform or you can switch between white and amber. While

(46:07):
we wanted to bring that tech and elevate it even
more to the aftermarket side of things, so we came
out with Phoenix.

Speaker 8 (46:12):
So we're introducing Phoenix, which is.

Speaker 10 (46:14):
At about a five and a half inch size, and
then Phoenix XL, the bigger brother, which is around a
little bit over six close to seven inches. This new
unique product does really well for us because not only
do we bring the feature of being able to go
between white and amber, we actually get five different color
tones to select from. That's going to help you through
different visibility and all sorts of weather elements.

Speaker 8 (46:34):
So really excited for this.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
It's free awesome.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
So I was taking a look, so I see that
you guys have a couple of different options for this,
so you can actually run it on a standalone button
on itself, you can actually integrate in the vehicle, or
you guys in'slike in this vehicle, you guys actually have
it hooked up to a pad, right.

Speaker 10 (46:47):
Yeah, So what we do is we try to do
it with switch logic, which keeps it really simple where
you have a solution.

Speaker 8 (46:53):
Right out of the box.

Speaker 10 (46:54):
There's a lot of bills that do have, you know,
more intricate items and accessories where you do need to
switch panel things like that.

Speaker 8 (47:00):
It's going to be able to fall into both. So
out of the box it's a three wire system.

Speaker 10 (47:04):
You got your common ground and then you got your
power for the light to power on, and then a
momentary side where you can select and scroll through the
different color tones. If you hold that guy for three seconds,
you even get a really cool feature of backlighting.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
All right.

Speaker 1 (47:16):
So for the amateur guy, right that's just starting out,
and we would talk about that a lot today because
it's come up in a lot of conversations for us recently.
He wanted to buy a set up like this average
installed time for him to try to figure out himself.

Speaker 10 (47:26):
Yeah, So everything that we provide, we try and provide
a harness that's going to give you a plug in
play system. I would say, a good you know, knowing
your location and depending where it's going to go, you
always got to make sure you're prep there, have your
route for wiring and things like that. That's the most
kind of intricate piece of it. But you know, a
couple hours, it's all universal. You bracket, just find a
nice spot we're gonna be able to bolt and have

(47:48):
your hardware on there, and then the harness provides you
leads to the battery and then leads to the light
and then leads to a switch.

Speaker 8 (47:54):
So it's pretty cut and dry.

Speaker 10 (47:55):
It just depends on where exactly they're gonna mount it
and just making you know the right preparation to run
that wire through there.

Speaker 1 (48:01):
Okay, So for everybody to ask me because of one
of the big questions here at seeming all the different
stuff that we've been covering, you guys have a lifetime warranty.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
Okay, you guys are USA made. You're out a Gilbert Arizona, right.

Speaker 8 (48:12):
We are at a Gilbert Arizona.

Speaker 2 (48:13):
Okay, since two thousand and six.

Speaker 8 (48:15):
That's correct.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
Awesome. See I do a little researching proud of me.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
Ah, I know you guys product because I was talking
before we got on camera. So we live out in
the country and with there's been a lot of different
like open land area. It gets really dark at night, right,
I like to run something that's gonna illuminate everything in
front of me that I can see big time because
of deer and all that kind of stuff that run
out in front of us all year long. So if
I wanted to do a setup, what would you just
do some smaller lights, maybe do like a bar light?

Speaker 2 (48:39):
What would be your suggestion on somebody like that?

Speaker 10 (48:41):
Absolutely, I mean first and foremost, I always like to say,
you know, look at the real estate you got left
and that's either going to lead you towards a bar
or towards pods. With the bar you can only get
up and down till but maybe it's in a really
good location and straightforward the application.

Speaker 8 (48:55):
You're gonna need, it's gonna be super easy.

Speaker 10 (48:57):
With pods, you do get some versatility and not only
tilt up in down, but also you know, shift them
left or point them right, so you get a little
bit more about that when it comes to selecting which
light for rigid. You know, we have a variety because
we put light where it's needed. So I would just say,
kind of understand what kind of lighting you're lacking, whether
it's spread or extra distance, and we have an optic
for a light that's purpose built for that type of application.

(49:20):
So if you have really nice headlights that give you
some nice spread, but you need some more distance a
pair of spots, you just got to kind of pick
what size that you like and then go with that
route with the new Phoenix. What I like about this
is you can buy the light and then you can
buy extra additional accessories to change the lens and change
your beam pattern. So very versatile and you can kind
of build it to your needs.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
That's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
So what we're gonna do, guys, We're gonna go ahead
and go over and I'm gonna show you exactly what
they have on the board.

Speaker 10 (49:46):
All right, So here we have a closer look at Phoenix.
Right here you can see the Phoenix light in our
connect style. So another option that's going to be available
for the Phoenix pod is going to be that you'll
be able to connect this into different lengths like a
twenty inch, thirty inch, forty inch, and fifty inch to
kind of simulate the light bar sizes. But this will
give you independency with different optics within itself if you

(50:08):
want to go ahead and customize that. And then here's
a closer look of it by itself, and then it's
bigger brother, the Phoenix XL a little bit of a
closer look here as well. I'll try and show you
what it is with the different color tones that we
do here. You can see there we're starting off with
a one hundred percent amber and you can see that
in the image down low, and then we start to

(50:28):
scroll through all the different color tones that are available.

Speaker 8 (50:31):
So depending on the element that you're dealing with.

Speaker 10 (50:34):
You know, if you're doing a desert run and you're
at the front of the pack, then dust and elements
are not an issue for you. You can run white all
day long. As soon as you get into the back
of the pack or you got some dust coming up,
you want to get it yourself into a warmer color
that's going to give you that visibility and not get
that bounce back. Amber is always going to give you
the best out of all But depending how thick that
that element is you can select between those five different

(50:55):
color tones and get exactly the color tone you're needing.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
All right, guys, So that's gonna round out all of
our cover chier O Ridgid and all of their setups.
So one thing I know for sure, if you need something,
you can find it here. But if you need lights,
we're going.

Speaker 10 (51:09):
To ww dot Rigid Industries dot com.

Speaker 1 (51:13):
All right, guys, you guys stay tuned. I got a
lot more to cover for you. Hey, guys, this is
Dave again. So we are hanging out with Warrior Witches
and this is Greg with him and I were talking
a little bit off camera and we're having a conversation.
So if you guys have never heard of them, they
debuted in two thousand and four and this is their
debut here at SEMA.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
You guys got a lot of big setup here.

Speaker 4 (51:35):
Man.

Speaker 2 (51:35):
You can't miss this thing, right.

Speaker 12 (51:36):
Yeah, we definitely do. You cannot miss hell Boy back here.
This is one of our influencers, Rick Murphy's He's record
Rick on YouTube if you seed him there. This is
his Dodge fifty five hundred. It's got rear steer. I mean,
the thing is just it's set up to go anywhere
to recover anything. It's got five Warrior winches wrapped around it, so.

Speaker 1 (51:54):
Yeah, it is massive. I've noticed as we were walking up,
I could see it hovering over everything from far away,
and I was like, that's got to be it right there.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
So tell me a little bit.

Speaker 1 (52:02):
You guys are debuting your two and one wireless and
remote wench as well, right, yes.

Speaker 12 (52:06):
So all of our witches now come with the two
and one wireless remote okay, and this is the first
time we've done that. You know, most of the time
you have to buy wireless separately. This one, everything's just
packaged nice, nice and neatly together and it literally comes
with every single winch we sell.

Speaker 1 (52:21):
And what separates you guys from everybody else when it
comes to this setup.

Speaker 12 (52:24):
Warranty, quality of the build, and the way we back
our winches. We are just so excited. We're all a
group of passionate guys about these winches. We're family owned.
We've been family owned for twenty eight years and we're
going to remain that way. We just really enjoy making
sure people have gear that they can be confident in
when they're on the trail.

Speaker 1 (52:44):
Okay, So as far as the different sizes you guys
have available and the different strengths.

Speaker 2 (52:48):
What do you guys have out there that's going to
be available to the public.

Speaker 12 (52:50):
So to available to the public, you can start as
low as two thousand pounds for your little power sports,
go all the way up to sixty six thousand pounds
in our hydraulic winches.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
Wow, sixty six on our finals. That's cool. What can
you tell me about this setup?

Speaker 1 (53:03):
As far as you know, you have a lot of
different setups for the amateur guy, right, and then you
guys have the guy that's just totally completely max extreme.
If you were gonna say, amateur, what range would he
want to be in? And then the guy that's just
way out there?

Speaker 2 (53:14):
What range? What do you want to be in? Sure?

Speaker 12 (53:15):
So our amateur are our entry level winch as we
call it is our brand new sentinel winch. We just
debuted it this morning. No, I've seen it before today.
We've got him on the back side over here.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
Probably want to go around there and take a look. Yeah,
we take Hey, guys, so we're gonna show you some
of these wenches. He's gonna walk us through, So show
us what you got.

Speaker 12 (53:31):
Yeah, So this is our what we consider our entry
level winch. It's our sentinel winch. Brand new just debuted
this morning about nine o'clock whin the show up. And
so these guys are IP sixty seven rated metal casing.
They come in synthetic up or steel cable. They come
in sizes of eight thousand, ten thousand, and twelve thousand,
five hundred pounds.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
Okay, So for the guy who's just getting involved, right,
dumb it down for him a little bit. What should
he be looking for so he knows what he's buying
us something great.

Speaker 12 (53:56):
He's the biggest thing he wants to look for in
a winch. He's gonna be the work you're You're gonna
see a lot of value inches out there, but they're
gonna say ninety.

Speaker 4 (54:03):
Day warranty, a two year warranty that doesn't.

Speaker 12 (54:05):
Give me or anybody else any competence that they're going
to perform when they need it to the biggest thing
about a winch is you want it to perform when
you need it, but you don't necessarily know when you're
gonna need it.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
Yeah, the worst thing to be is out on the
trail find out you need something the first time you
go to use it, or maybe you've played around with
it at home and now this is one you really
need to find out. It's not what you need, right,
that's exactly right. You You don't want it to just
fail on you out Trails said, And you guys have
once again a five year warranty on.

Speaker 12 (54:30):
These on the Sentinel winch. Yes, we have a five
year warty on the electrics, on the internals, the metal,
the gearing, all of its lifetime warranty. And that's across
every winch.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
We sell awesome.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
So if somebody wanted to grab one of these, where
are they gonna be looking for them at?

Speaker 12 (54:42):
They're gonna go to warriorwinches dot com.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
Okay, yep.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
Now, do you guys sell anything through any other vendors
or anything like that if somebody wanted to find.

Speaker 2 (54:48):
It, we do.

Speaker 12 (54:49):
We've got Extreme Terrain, We've got American Trucks both those
you know etailors basically at Extreme Terrain dot com, American
Trucks dot com. We are in talks with some others
at the moment, and we've got some mom and popshot
us around. If you go to our website and you
don't want to buy directly, you want to kind of
see it in person, there's a dealer locator you can go.
You can go see who's near you.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
All right, let's shut off that website.

Speaker 12 (55:08):
It's a warriorwinches dot com.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
All right, guys, Well we got everything covered here. If
you guys need any more information and you want something
that's actually a great product and has a great warranty,
this is where you're gonna find them. Greg, think much
for your time. I appreciate it, sir, and we'll talk
to you guys soon. Hey, guys, so you're no stranger
to Vinish Air if you're building a hot rod. I'm
hanging out here with Rick Love here in Vinish Airs booth.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
How's it going, buddy, it's doing, Drake. You have to
have it.

Speaker 8 (55:34):
A good show.

Speaker 13 (55:34):
Second day, good crowd, nice day outside.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
It's all good.

Speaker 1 (55:38):
The booth is crowded, very crowded, which tells you that
they're building a great product, right, Well, we like to
think so.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:46):
So as you guys know what I've talked before. I
have a vintage air system on our project, the bad Am,
which is our seventy seven trans Am. I have the
compressor and I'm getting ready to start moving to the
internal components, which Rick just told me should be a
pretty easy install for us.

Speaker 13 (56:00):
We make a Gen five sure fit kit for that
for that trans am those Firebirds bolt in system. He
cool to Frost even includes a new electronically controlled control panel.
So keep that factory look kind of mimics the factory
look on that and everything gives you modern technology with
kind of like a factory look.

Speaker 1 (56:17):
Okay, so you guys were found it in nineteen seventy six,
so you guys had a long time to perfect this and.

Speaker 2 (56:22):
Get it right. Yeah, we've been doing this for a while. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:25):
Absolutely, So I can tell you guys, I like the setup.
So one of the things I know, and if you
look at the big set up here in the belt
drive system gives you a couple different choices. And know,
if you guys want to go with something that's you know,
little subtle, they got it. If you want something that
goes wow, you guys have it. I mean you have everything.
You've thought it all out, from the control panels that
you put inside the cars to the setup underneath the engine.

(56:45):
You have the complete package everybody needs, no matter what
it is.

Speaker 13 (56:49):
Yeah, and people need to understand that air conditioning is
a system, you know.

Speaker 2 (56:52):
It just like breaks.

Speaker 13 (56:52):
As a system, you got to use the right master
cylinder to match up to the components that you're using,
to the calipers and all of that.

Speaker 4 (56:58):
It's the same way with air conditioning.

Speaker 13 (57:00):
You've got to have the right size heat exchangers, you
got to have the right evaporator inside your car, and
then you've got to have a large enough compressor and
condenser to move the refrigerant and to take the heat away.
So it comes down to matching components to get the
right performance.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
Absolutely. So here's one of the things.

Speaker 1 (57:15):
So with all the different people that we haven't listened
to the show, and I have people that are amateurs,
I have people that have been doing this for a
long time.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
Let's just take it through. Let's say I'm an.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
Amateur and I'm just starting out and I found you
guys online, and I stum because everybody stumbles across you.
I mean just at some point, you're gonna stumble across him.
Unless you're sleeping underneath the rock, you're gonna definitely stumble
across him. So guys, late at night, he's laying in
bed doing the deep dive, and he comes across you.
He goes, Okay, I think that's what I want to do.
But he's a little intimidated. Right where does he start?

Speaker 13 (57:45):
Well, the first thing is on our website. You can
type in what car you have, you know, and we've
got over one hundred and eighty surefit kits. And a
surefit kit is a system designed specifically for a vehicle. Okay,
so whether it being it, it is a complete system.
A bolt in condenser in front of the radiator, the
inside of operator kid with controls all the lines and hoses, compressor,
compressor bracket. In your case, you've already got a compressor

(58:07):
in bracket, so we can supply all the other parts
for the system. But it becomes a bolton at that
point once you find that we have a sure fake
kit for your car. We have the instructions all online,
so I've look through the entire installation process and think, okay,
this is exactly what's involved with this.

Speaker 2 (58:21):
So that's the first place to start. Okay.

Speaker 1 (58:24):
So I noticed as I was searching around a little bit,
I find a lot of videos showing me how to
put your guys' stuff in as well, So I don't
feel lost. I feel like The best thing about videos
I tell you about everybody's a YouTube warrior, right, I
mean to a certain degree. But it has its advantage
is because you feel like there's a buddy with you
in the garage.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
You can literally go to one of the videos, you can.

Speaker 1 (58:42):
Click on it, you can stop it, and you can
look at it what they're telling you, and then go
back and reference it, and it's almost like you're playing
off with somebody with you, like, hey, what I do next?

Speaker 2 (58:49):
What would you do? And stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (58:50):
So you guys have a lot of that out there,
and a lot of that reference was that something that
was kind of pre thought, so they're just kind of
calculated on its own and came around.

Speaker 13 (58:58):
Well again, we've been around for almost years, so you
know the things have changed, right, and it's been a progression,
and you know the old days when you brought out
the chilten Man, you'll decide to figure out how to
take a dash apart or something like that. That's long
gone and people are video centric and you learn best
when you can see somebody doing it.

Speaker 8 (59:14):
Really cool.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
A couple of.

Speaker 13 (59:16):
Years ago, a father and son was doing an installation
and a camaro and he sent me a picture from
the shop and he was doing this with his son,
and he took a picture of his son at the
toolbox watching the video of the install, watching Billy doing
the install, and then relating that to what he was
doing in the car. And that was really cool to
see because it told us that those videos were very,

(59:37):
very helpful as.

Speaker 4 (59:38):
They were doing this, So that was kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (59:39):
So I told everybody, you know, when you're building cars
and stuff, one of the biggest things that you could
do to help yourself out is to put a TV
in the garage that you can connect so you can
actually sit right next to the car and kind of
look at the car and look what they're doing back
and forth. I mean, everybody's like, well, I got my phone.
It is great when it's on a bigger screen. You
guys just there and look at it. You can reference it.
So if you guys haven't thought about that, that's a
little helpful tip, because I do. I messed around with

(01:00:01):
my phone and I have the TV. I just haven't
had time to install it yet.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
It's out there. I just haven't had time to make
it work yet. But now did you say.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
It, I'm like, I mean, probably probably I'll get around
to doing that just a little bit, especially with these
new installs we're getting ready to do. As you guys know,
we have white noise as well, which we're gonna put
a Fini share system in and we're excited about doing that.
A lot of different projects coming up, and these are
the guys that you're gonna definitely want to get. If
you had a single out, one product you want to
talk about today, what would.

Speaker 13 (01:00:23):
It be, man, I'll tell you We're We've got so
many new products, it seemed to this year. We're really
excited about it. We're kind of moving, you know. We've
always been classic car US based cars and trucks and everything,
and now we're kind of venturing into some other areas.
We're debuting here at seem a brand new bolt in
Sure if it kit for the two forty sixty to
eighty Z cars.

Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
They're coming up in popularity quite a bit right now. Absolutely, yeah,
and the price tags are going through the roof on them.

Speaker 14 (01:00:47):
It's crazy, but it's good though. It's something else, Yeah,
a lot of passion with those cars. Yeah, anything else,
you know. And guys started to do some engine swaps
in them and all of that. I mean, they timeless styling.
You know, great cars, they're lightweight, great performers, and you're
seeing the aftermarket have suspension upgrades available and now enngine
uprades available, and you know, our climate control system is
a great addition to that if you're going to be

(01:01:07):
driving the vehicle.

Speaker 13 (01:01:08):
So we're real excited about that. We've talked to quite
a few people here that, oh my gosh, you're doing this.

Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
Yeah, and we're at we're at LSFS And when we
were at Lsfest, we saw the rise of the two forty,
the two eighty z s out of nowhere. For it
just seemed like I saw a lot of people restoring them.
And now I'm really seeing big power being put into them.
And I'm seeing a lot of money being dropped into
these cars, which is cool. So means you guys are
