It is a honor and privilege to be here on
the Word and Worship Radio Network.
Speaker 7 (08:14):
Yeah, great to have you of This is a long
overdo we've been talking about this for a minute.
Speaker 9 (08:18):
Huh, yes, sir, But the Lord finally brought us together.
Speaker 7 (08:22):
Today we're going to talk about the posture of a church.
But before we get into that, listen to your show
all the time. Of course, I run the show on
WWAW Wordy Merchip radio station, and man, people are being
blessed by it. There's a statement or phrase that you
use and I always wanted to use that, so I'm
(08:45):
going to use that phrase today. Apostle John Ross, introduce
yourself to the body of Christ.
Speaker 9 (08:53):
Hey, man, well, I am just Brother Bross. I'm just
Minister Ross, Brother Bross, humble, sir of the Lord.
Speaker 10 (09:02):
Man.
Speaker 9 (09:03):
We don't have enough time to go over my whole
life's story history, so we're going to have to just,
you knowether together and some short stories that hopefully you
(09:24):
can grasp what I'm saying. But a man, I am
a father. I am a person that loves the Lord.
I am an individual who started in the churches of
God in Christ back many many years ago as the youngster.
(09:45):
My mother got saved when I was about seven or
eight years old. She come to the church. She brought
me into the church. I didn't want to be at
the church starting out. I wanted to be someplace else,
But little did I know that that warfare was beginning
in my younger years because of the road that the
(10:08):
Lord had for me to go. So we went from
starting church at the age of seven and eight and
then trying to grasp the holiness church because you know
when you've never been to church before and then you
walk into the church and everybody's jumping and shouting and
hollering and speaking and tug or praising God as could
(10:31):
be a frightening thing. That used to that. So we
had to understand all of that and then grow up
and become the minister of music at the church. So wow,
you know, I could have never guessed that in a
million years. So we become minister of music. The Lord
(10:52):
is blessing us and our ministry in music through through
the church. I connect did with the state Music Department,
the district Music Department, which I ended up becoming the
district positive for the mw Goomun district there in Iowa.
So I did that and then from that that took
(11:13):
me to the state level in Des Moines, Iowa. So
we were assisting Elder McNair junior for some years there
and then that took us to the regional level where
we were with evangelistic Valerie Carter's Daniel and we were
supporting and learning there for a time, and then we
(11:33):
went on to the national level. Under that time, the
late doctor Maddemos's Clark there.
Speaker 7 (11:40):
Faithfully, I'm sure youteen years, I'm sure you ducked, you
ducked and dodged many issues and hymn books right.
Speaker 9 (11:51):
Well, you know what I mean. I don't want to
waste up our time. But interestingly that you said that
the first day, my very first day at the convocation.
Never been there before. I've never seen her in person.
I had her records, I had her case, but I've
never seen her in person. Here she walks in with
(12:12):
this black robe on, and I'm like, I was just
loving first time I.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
Looked in awe of it, you know, I love it.
Speaker 9 (12:19):
And it's funny because she she steems right in front
of me and she's looking at me checking me out,
like who is this you know? Up here in this
status act in front row. And I was sitting there
because Professor Stevenson said just sit there, So that's why
I was there. Anyway, she was she said here let
me see your hymn book. And so she's she hands
(12:40):
me the hand her my hymn book and she's trying
to figure out what song that she's going to do
for the choir, and then she hands it back to
me upside down and so and I am just like
an awe and just nervous. And but that was the
beginning of I call her my mother and the Gospel.
(13:02):
Because later on I become vice president of the Team
Choir in the Churches of God in Christ and I
served there for a little while, and so all of
this is going on, I'm growing in ministry. Awesome God
just for the first time is just coming. I did
a little tape in the Quad Cities on that. I mean,
(13:23):
you know, we've re recorded it now, but back then
the first time. Within ninety two.
Speaker 7 (13:29):
You're listening to the Luther Baker podcast. My guest today
is Apostle John E. Ross right here on the Word
and Worship radio station. Let's hear and be blessed by
his new single, Awesome God.
Speaker 3 (14:00):

Speaker 12 (15:26):
His great name. He's wordy to be prey, brad when
I'm hungry, and long.
Speaker 3 (15:41):

That's timer.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
So my bed.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
He shall he up, is.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
She shall.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Carry us?
Speaker 5 (16:27):
Some God.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Short torn offsome God, No.
Speaker 7 (16:57):
He didn't.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Also awesome God.
Speaker 9 (17:16):
I had just written that the first time. And this
may be my last chance. Lord, give me another chance.
All the songs that you're hearing now, I'm thinking that
the ministry is just it's going to take off. Now.
We're headed to Bobby Jones to sing for the Vision Awards.
That was that was at that time, and tragedy struck
(17:40):
us and we had a fatal car crash on the
way to the Bobby Jones show. So that began the spiral,
the down word spiral, I would say, of my journey
to backsliding. So when that happened, I was devastated. One
of the apartments passed away. The recording that I did
(18:02):
at the time turned out horrible. Everything begins to take
a dive. You know, Doctor Clark gets six some years
later she passes and it's like, Okay, I'm not going
to be in the national choir in the war since
she's not there, and I'm like, I'm lost without direction.
Speaker 7 (18:22):
This is amazing, this is amazing. Now, now you you
had doctor Mattie Moss Clark. I'm jealous, man, because I
only heard about it. I never met a personally. So
she's standing there in front of you. How old were
you then, I'm sure you were a youngster.
Speaker 9 (18:42):
I was in my I would say, I'm still in
my teens, I believe. I would say, oh, eighteen nineteen.
Speaker 7 (18:56):
Wow, that's that's amazing. That's amazing. I'm sure that was
quite an experience. I'm sure her daughters were like little
little touched then right now that that had to have
been an amazing experience for you. Obviously it's been. It
made an indelible impact upon your musical career as well.
(19:19):
And I'm so sorry to hear about that accident you
had on your way to doctor Bobby Jones' event, and
you said something after that accident that affected you in
a negative way. Talk more about yes, yeah, talk more about.
Speaker 9 (19:36):
It, because I felt like getting prepared for that, I
was fasting, thinking the Lord praying. The Lord was moving
in the services for the preparation to go there to
sing on the Vision Awards, and we ended up being
(19:56):
a used our song on some God at that time
on his Video Gospel Awards. So he featured us on
his Video Gospel Awards or a video program that that
he had at that time where he played music videos. Well,
he spotlighted and featured us on his videos show. And
(20:22):
so we was preparing for that and the Lord was moving.
I mean, we can't even hardly sing the song because
the Holy Ghost would just come in and would just
slaying and and so the last thing on earth that
I everything after the move of the Holy Spirit like
(20:42):
that that we had had in the tragic situation there.
So that just kind of destroyed my faith in God
at that time.
Speaker 7 (20:52):
Yeah, and others and you're you're so excited one of
the main pinnacles of what could really cut of your
ministry sort of like you hit a brick wall. Yes, yeah,
you hit a brick wall. So what did you do
after that?
Speaker 9 (21:11):
I was devastated, grieving, and it wasn't too long after
that that we get back to the quast Cities and
my life got rocked by scandal and a bunch of
mess kind of broke out there even around that time,
around the accident, and it was just devastating. I mean,
(21:33):
I got ended up getting married, ended up getting divorced,
and it was just horrifying. I mean, my life went
from from worse to you know, the Bible says we
go from glory to glory to glory. My life went
from worse to worse, the worst, worst Jesus, I don't
think it could have gotten any worse. So I said,
(21:53):
you know what, God, I don't understand why you're you're
allowing this horrible thing to have happened to me. I
know I wasn't perfect, but I did the best that
I could for you, and I just don't think. I
think that you're bitterly dealing with me in this season
and I don't understand why. So I ended up resigning everything.
(22:16):
I moved to which of Arkansas, and I said, I
just want to go where nobody knows my name and
I just want to start life all over again, because
I said, I just cannot believe that you know the
from what I just said to you to this very point,
and it had to end in tragedy, from tragedy to tragedy,
(22:37):
to tragedy to tragedy. So that's what I did. I've
actually lived for a good ten years before the Lord
brought me back on July twelfth, twenty twelve.
Speaker 7 (22:47):
You just answered my question, and I appreciate your honesty.
And I believe God honors us in our testimonies when
we are honest with ourselves and honest with other people.
Because unfortunately, some sing some singers, some preachers, some pastors
(23:07):
like to make people think that they're always on the top.
They're always floating on the silver cloud. They don't have
any faults, of which they do, but they don't want
to expose those faults and those problems to others. So, man,
I believe just from that alone shows your type of character. See,
(23:29):
and God loves honest repentance. God can use people like that.
God can use souls and individuals when you're honest and
you're bitter about and recognize your own shortcomings. I do
the same thing myself. But we're going to talk about
(23:49):
your story. I guess when you interview me, I can
tell you my story. But man's that's an amazing thing.
So you went to what you talk. Yeah, that's when
things started turning around for you. In July.
Speaker 9 (24:06):
July twelfth, twenty twelve, I moved here and I had
a struggle. I mean I thought I could move here,
pick up a couple jobs, and just pick up where
I left off. That was not what the enemy was like. No,
I am not done beating you down yet. So we
had a couple of more arounds we had to fight
(24:28):
once we got here. But on July twenty twelve. July twelfth,
twenty twelve, I was at work. I was working in
private security downtown Wich. You talk Kansas and a building
called the Williams It's called the Williams Street Building, and
I was working down there doing private security. Nobody was
there that day, and I had just bought a tape
(24:52):
from Anita Wilson, and I remember corresponding with her online.
I was just getting on Facebook and learning about the
social media and all that, and she says she had
to take coming out called Worship Soul. So I got
to work and I put in this Worship Soul when
Speechless came on and man, the Holy Ghost started breaking
(25:14):
up that Solow ground. Wow, And I was like, ohh,
So I hit stop I hit stop, I said, I said,
I'm feeling something down on the inside that episode in
a long time. Let's stop record, Lord, I'm not sure
what's going on. Let's stop. Because before this, we got
hit with another tragedy here where I was involved with
(25:37):
the second Fato incident, and it was a speeding motorcycle
that hit my school bus because I'm a school bus
driver and he passed unseen, and so you know, that
devastated me totally again because that felt like, okay, Lord,
I know it's two different circumstances, going to the Barby
(26:00):
Jones show fatality. I wasn't driving in that particular situation,
and then this one here in Wichita, Kansas, driving school
bus and then bam, here's from the motorcycle out of nowhere.
It's busted the door window glass in my eyes. It
(26:21):
knocked me all the way over off the road, and
I'm like, Lord, have mercy, what in the world is
going off? But in twenty twelve, Speechless came on and
the Holy Ghost started working, and man, I got up,
did around, came back and I listened to the rest
(26:43):
of that CD. And when we got down to those
last songs when she was talking about You know, Lord,
what what do you do? What are those words when
you receive bad news? You know what I'm saying. At
the inn of her song, she got a couple of
worship songs that I can't think of right now. That's
(27:06):
at the end of that CD. Anyway, those songs began
ministering to my spirit to the point where I just
broke down and gave it all to the Lord, crying,
just repented, gave my life back to the Lord. And
by the time I left work that evening, I was
rededicated back to the Lord and begin this new journey
(27:31):
to where we are right now.
Speaker 7 (27:32):
This is awesome. Now the lyrics to the song you
were referring to was speechless.
Speaker 9 (27:37):
Yes, that song came on. And it's strange because, like
I said, I was bitter with the Lord. But the
Lord knew that even though I was bitter because I
didn't understand why all that had happened to me, he
knew really way deep down that I loved him now.
So it was like those words spoke the sentiment of
(27:58):
how I really felt about God in my heart, even
though my mind was wanting to feel bitter against what
that happened. And so when those words started speaking the
sentiments of my heart, I just, man, I just lost it.
I tell you now, I just lost it and surrendered
(28:19):
my life back to the Lord.
Speaker 7 (28:20):
And I'm looking at these lyrics right now.
Speaker 6 (28:22):
Now.
Speaker 7 (28:23):
The lyrics says, I can say that you're wonderful, but
it doesn't seem good enough. Yes, I can say that
you're kind, but that would miss the mark. As I continue,
I'm trying to convey the cinnament of my heart and say,
I really do appreciate the way you brighten up my day.
(28:46):
And I think God brightened up your day, brother.
Speaker 9 (28:49):
Yes, yes. And when that was oh men, the tears
just started.
Speaker 5 (28:56):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (28:56):
I mean, I said to myself, I am so glad
that nobody came into the building that day. I had
that whole twelve hours. It's amazing all to myself with
just me and the Lord. Thank you Jesus, because they
probably would have wondered what is wrong with you, sir.
I mean, I just I just cried out of my
soul just for hours, just down there. I tell you,
(29:19):
the Lord really just began breaking up that fallow ground,
and I just said yes to the Lord and just
came back to him.
Speaker 7 (29:27):
Man, that's amazing. What a rejuvenation, what a welcome back
into the arms of the Savior. And God takes us
through stuff, man, and we never understand going especially going
through that stuff at the minute, why we go through
what we go through. But at the end of the day,
God always reveals why we go through what we go through.
(29:51):
And I'm sure he did that with you.
Speaker 9 (29:54):
Yes, yes, he took me into a divine time after that.
Oh my God, I will never forget that divine time
that I had with him, where he took me into
the next I would saying to the third heavens, and
I actually seen him. I seen him. I seen into
(30:15):
the third heavens. I had angels around me, I had
I mean I was walking in a heavenly dimension for
about a year to a year and a half where
it was nobody but me and the Lord. And he
took me all the way back from when I was
a little child, and he helped me understand everything that
(30:39):
I didn't understand from seven when I joined church to
the horrible tragedies that happened even when I moved here
to Wichita. He answered every question. And you know what,
the thing the most that really reached out to me
the most was he said, you know what, John, You're right.
(31:00):
You did not have an opportunity to really understand why
it was happening. You didn't have an opportunity to prepare
for it. It's just like Moses, when at least Moses,
I told the Laura said, at least Moses had a
brun and buzz experience where you know, I know he
didn't know that the horrifying time that he was going
(31:20):
to have with the children of Israel after that, but
at least he had something, He had some real preparation
to lead him into that time, to let him know
that who God really is. I had nothing that could
have prepared me for what happened to me. And he agreed.
(31:42):
He said, you all right, that's why I'm taking this
time with you now in a very real way as
you begin to begin again.
Speaker 7 (31:52):
Yeah, this is awesome. And that's why I was sharing
a church this morning. We should never despise small beginning.
You never know what God is preparing us for at
the early stages of our walk with Christ. Whether we
go through good things, whether we go through bad things,
(32:13):
there is a reason why God has us to go
through what we're going through and for such a time
as this, God has prepared you, Apostle Ross for two
thousand and twenty five when He restored you, and twenty
twenty and twelve, God restored you to prepare you to
(32:34):
do exactly what you're doing right now in two thousand
and twenty five. And because we are living in a
time that's dangerous, it's unpredictable, full of racism, full full
of rich men trying to control the world. Where should
(32:55):
the state and posture of the church be? What where
do you think we are are now? And what cook
we do better to impact the world with the message
of crutch.
Speaker 4 (33:08):
Oh Lord, I've let you die so many times.
Speaker 12 (33:20):
Trying to do.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
What's right. But end up do we broom?
Speaker 10 (33:29):
Do we broom?
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Do ween roam?
Speaker 9 (33:34):
See?
Speaker 4 (33:36):
Sada is trying to take a hold of my life.
I keep on fighting and fighting, and it seems I'm
losing the fight.
Speaker 5 (33:47):
But lords are silly from me hard.
Speaker 8 (33:54):
I think it's time for a brand newst So Lord,
give me.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
Another change. Now, come on an help.
Speaker 10 (34:10):
Me right now, or geez, give me another change.
Speaker 6 (34:25):
This.
Speaker 7 (34:25):
Yeah, I mean this from my heart.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
I promise I wasn't saying.
Speaker 9 (34:33):
No more.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
Creating me appear high. Ever, no praise to hit me
me ha that word in my hunt soul, I will
(35:01):
sit against me.
Speaker 10 (35:03):
Oh Lord, no love, No Lord, Lord, I don't really
made up the man o me at this time. So
come on me, come on me.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
From day to day, I'm willing into girl.
Speaker 9 (35:26):
Way.
Speaker 10 (35:29):
So Lord, give me another another chance.
Speaker 7 (35:37):
For the key change.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
Come on, let's go.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
Who give me any.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Hands here.
Speaker 9 (35:57):
And make me. When you let me know that we
(36:35):
were going to be discussing that, I said, I really
want to take some time with the Lord because I
really wanted to be able to write down what the
spirit is releasing to me in that time. And so, Kingdom,
and listen to audience. When I research entomology, the entomology
a posture, I learned it to mean to position or
(36:57):
arrange oneself in a particular manner, often with deliberate intention
or a specific purpose. Now, Kingdom, Jesus gave his life,
shed his blood, of which we will be discussing in
the coming months. Because of the celebration of his resurrection,
(37:18):
Jesus paid the ultimate price birthing out the church. So
when he demonstrated such a gopy love and after his
divine resurrection. He released the Holy Spirit to be our
continued connection to Him and our power source. And now
he's our high priests interceding for us alongside his words
(37:42):
to be our blueprint instruction, our holy constitution, and the
Cross as our statue of liberty and freedom. This means
the Church in itself are not the brick and mortar,
but we, the people who are the members of the church,
(38:04):
are the church the sheep. So then the sheep should
be postured and position around its creator deliberately and with intent.
As the explanation goes, we are implementing, activating, working out,
(38:25):
or walking out the way of our creator deliberately with intent.
We are living in his teachings, following his examples. We
emulate his ways, and we are bearing Christ's fruit. But sadly, Pastor,
I think many have a false perception of their creator.
(38:49):
I think many perceive Jesus as being a weak individual
or a person who was timid who went along to
just get along. But those who have revelation of his
word know this is a very wrong perception, and we
understand that God had everything for Jesus on a time
(39:13):
frame because of what Christ had to do in the
realm of the spirit, so he could not go to
the cross too soon, so he did not just go along.
And when he obeyed, God gave him all authority in
heaven and earth. So the church is under the false
(39:34):
perception that it can lie, it can disobey, it can
seek everything but the real presence of God for deliverance
and relationship and prophesied blessings and say everything will be fine,
when in reality is really war. Time on the prayer
(39:57):
room floor is really what it's time for. So finally,
we as the church must return to the foot of
the cross, postured in repentance, postured in obedience, postured in
the revelation of his word, postured after the spirit, not
after the flesh, postured in prayer and intercession with deliberate intent,
(40:21):
and return to the foundation of God's Word, and not
just read a scripture, but taking the time with God
to receive a understanding of his word from the Old
Testament to the New Testament. Postured in worship, postured in holiness,
postured and righteousness, postured in truth and in justice. And
(40:45):
when we do man involve the power and the annointing
that we need to face the enemy in this present
age will be released, and we will be postured as
His sons and daughters, and not a artificial copy of
the world. The Church was put here to see transformed.
(41:08):
Pastor bars is the word of the Lord has given
me concerning that particular topic.
Speaker 7 (41:14):
Man, this is awesome, awesome word, Apostle Ross. While you
were talking, several scriptures came to mind. Matthew twenty eight eighteen.
You already mentioned one about all power is given in
the hands of Jesus Christ, and that the posture of
the church, its foundation rests on Jesus Christ or yeah, sure,
(41:38):
the son of the Living God. And one of the
things I'm saying here is the Lord Jesus Christ is
the foundation. As you already so eloquently spoke, Jesus came
and said to them all, not some, but all, as
you so eloquently brought out, all authority, all power in
(41:58):
heaven and on earth has been given on to me.
Let me ask you this question, what power did Jesus
give to the church. What kind of power should we
be displaying in such a dark time that we're living
in now.
Speaker 9 (42:17):
I believe the power we should be displaying is that
we have the power through the obedience of God's word
to change any situation, no matter who the president is,
no matter what is going on in the world. We
are the gatekeepers here in this earth's dimension. So we
(42:42):
as we seek the Lord, as if we who are
called by his name, would humble ourselves and seek his
face and turn from our wicked ways, then he will
hear and heal the land. And so the church does
that realize the united power that it has to change
(43:05):
what is going on in the government, to change what
is going on in society as a church united by
the Body of Christ. But that power lies within obedience,
it lies within the principles of the Scripture. And it's
not going to happen if we don't line up with
(43:25):
God's words. So now the church is out of place,
the church is out of line. So the enemy can
just come in and steal, kill, and destroy. The Scripture
says that is what he came to do, nothing more
than to lie, deceive, trick the public, trick, trick society, kill, steal,
(43:49):
and to destroy. And so we have the church has
to give back to these principles and the word back
on the prayer on the threshing floor, on the prayer room,
and we have to begin to change the atmosphere, speaking
what God is saying into the atmosphere, shift the atmosphere,
(44:10):
and change the situation that is going around this. And
God gave us the power to do so, but we
have to do it in Christ and in the way
God says. No other way will that power be released,
but in the way that God will release it, through
obedience and to his word and to Him. So that's
(44:33):
why I guess, as you were saying earlier about the
president and the billionaires or whomever that's leading, I think
right now, I know a lot of people are probably
going to throw some stones this way, but I think
it's a really good thing at this time that we
are a president that at least believes in Jesus, that
believes I'm not saying that he says, but he at
(44:56):
least believes, he honors the resurrection and God his word.
He's a conservative, and so over on the conservative channels,
you know, hey, on mainstream media, they're more about sex
changes everybody kids being caught up into transgenderism and and
(45:19):
feel goods, flash goods. That's what they're doing over on
that mainstream media. But if you go over to the
the conservative networks. They honor God. They honored the Lord
on during the Resurrection time. They they they have they
(45:40):
play what's that movie, The Passions of the Christ. They
honor they have take out time to honor God's word
and and and and the principles of God's words. I'm
not saying that they're perfect, and I'm not saying that
they have it right all the time, but they do
honor Him, They acknowledge him, they make time for him,
(46:05):
they honor Him as Lord and Savior. They try to
keep to the principles of His word, which is the
foundation for which God can begin to move. You cannot
on the other side of the situation with Biden that
just left to have the Easter Bunny and transgenders hopping
around the White House and think that the spirit of
(46:26):
God is going to come in and move and change
the situation. He's not. He's only going to move when
we begin to acknowledge Him and honor him and obey
him and do what he said.
Speaker 7 (46:37):
Yes, and you made the point, and I do appreciate
you sharing with us and sharing your your your position
politically and and why you share that and feel that way.
But it's but it's true. Mainstream TV, mainstream news channels, uh,
(46:58):
don't reflect the posture of Christ. The other the other stations,
the other outlets and there, even though they're not perfect,
but at least they do take a stand and make
a stand for what's right in the sight of God.
And that it is so imperative because the power of
Christ needs to be stronger. And as you stated in
(47:22):
the Word of God, if we humble ourselves, if we
seek the face of God, turn from our weakeed waves,
you know, things will begin to change. And I've had
some people come come to me possor Ross and they're
kind of like worried. You know, man, man, God, you
know these guys are taken this from us and taking
that from us. And I said, look, let me let
(47:43):
me tell you one thing. Whatever they take from us,
they can take whatever they feel they can take from
us for whatever reason. But I encourage them, I said,
because whatever they take from us God, the angels in
heaven and I walking around on the pearly gates wringing
their hands saying, look, look, the economy is bad. How
(48:06):
we gonna bless the people of God? No, our economy
is in heaven. God is our provider if we stay faithful,
and as you use that one word obedient, we stay
obedient to God's word and do what he says to do.
And first thing we got to do is pray, seek
(48:27):
His face, turn from our wicked ways. Then we will
hear from heaven and this land will be healed as
a result of our obedience. Yes, yes, so you said
some wonderful things, Doc. You really did. You really did.
And it's all word based, and it's in the Word
(48:47):
of God. And many times when I'm listening to your program,
I could see and I could feel the annoying of
God in your life. And I love the Word and
how you explain and break down, as they say in studies,
how you execute the Word of God and make it
(49:08):
relevant for today. You think that's important for us today.
Speaker 9 (49:14):
And that is the reason why the Lord gave me.
Let's talk to the Lord. When he told me to
start that podcast, I didn't even know I was going
to have a broadcast that would be going on radio
stations and in the small market at all. It was
due to my obedience to his will. I met Pastor.
(49:36):
Pastor she's from North Carolina. She had the what's your
testimony is her platform that she had at the time,
and pastor she had called me and said, you know, John,
we want you to come on and give your testimony.
Now at that time, I had just repented. This is
(49:56):
just shortly after July twelfth, So when I was on
herd net work with her, she was coming to me
at a time where I had just had that divine
time with God. I had just returned back to the Lord.
So I did have a testimony to begin because I
didn't know how I was going to do to begin again.
(50:19):
And when she invited me on there, she called me
back a year later. We did it. Her broadcast released
the testimony and a lot of people listened to it
and were blessed on her network. So she asked me
to come back and do a show, and I said, well, Lord,
I'm going to assume this is just out of rebirth.
(50:41):
Were now we're into twenty thirteen. I'm not sure which
way I'm going to go as far as as church
is going, where am I going to put my membership
or what I'm going to do next. I'm waiting for
year leaders and guidance. And he said, start the broadcast,
let's talk to the Lord, And it was that said
used the foundation of the Word, that your guests pick
(51:04):
the topic. You both go to my word and release
what the Lord is saying about this topic. And from
that you are talking to the Lord. So before I
could be effective in that, I had to relearn my
Bible all over again in rebirth. He started me from
He told me to buy a toum. He told me
(51:26):
to use my King James spirit filled a Torah amplified Bible.
He told me to get four sources of scripture and
from Genesis, read everything from cover to cover, the total Bible,
from cover to cover. And as I begin to have
Bible study with him with the Holy Spirit, from chapter
(51:50):
to chapter, from verse to verse, all four sources, and
before I knew it, the Lord had released the anointing
for a revelation. Understand his word I had. I did
not have the foundation of his word when I was
in the church as minister of music back at the
time that I was. He said, that was one of
(52:11):
the reasons why you fell. So I had to relearn
everything all over again. It was a total rebirth. But
when that happened, then the Lord began to annoint me
to go to the scripture and they abe to break
down the scripture and we apply it to the gospel
the gospel industry. The foundation is supposed to be the
(52:34):
word of good, so we go to the Word of God,
even if it's an artist maybe that they can't think
of a topic. Okay, we'll go with one of your songs. Well,
let's use one of your songs.
Speaker 6 (52:45):
Go to the.
Speaker 9 (52:45):
Foundation of the word to let the listening audience know
what that word means, what this song is really talking about,
and what it's really saying, along with your lyrics, and
then we played the music the song. We interview authors,
We interview prophets, prophetessas pastors, bishops, radio show hosts, movies, playwrights.
(53:12):
We interviewed them all and we interviewed them out of
the Word of God.
Speaker 7 (53:18):
This is awesome. I have a question for you. Have
you have you ever interviewed Lydia Wright?
Speaker 9 (53:25):
Not yet, but I would definitely write that name down
as a perspective guest.
Speaker 7 (53:30):
Yeah. Lydia Wright is a former Thomas Whitfield singer and
she sang with the Doctor Bobby Jones for several years.
Okay as a lead singer. And I interviewed ever Drinke
who's been with doctor Bobby Jones for over thirty something
(53:52):
years and.
Speaker 9 (53:53):
He is now I have interviewed every drink.
Speaker 7 (53:56):
Yes, that's good brother man good. I mean we've become
good friends, good brother in the lord. And he introduced
me to Lydia Wright, who was a playwright and she
has an awesome testimony where she had a doctor's report
where the doctor said she couldn't say she will never
sing again, ever again. And Thomas Whitfield took her in
(54:18):
and brought her up to sing and and the rest
was history. So I'm going to put you in touch
with Lydia Wright. She would be an awesome individual to interview, good,
very very powerful, and she's a pastor as well. So yeah,
but doctor, I love your spirit, I love your testimony,
(54:40):
and I can tell that you've dived in a little
deeper in terms of your study. And I think it's
very important to study the original scriptures and the original writings.
That's why when you mentioned the Torah, I was really
impressed with that because a lot of the translations and
the lit the transliterations sometimes they lose or they have
(55:04):
different meanings back then than they do now. So that's
very important to study the original scriptures as well.
Speaker 9 (55:13):
And I have also learned that a lot of things
that were in the Bible kind of back when I
was a young man at this time, they have taken
out and changed as well.
Speaker 7 (55:24):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. And translations are good, but when you
go to the point, get to the point where you
distort the true meaning of what the original writers have
said or meant to say from God, then then you've
got an issue there. And so that's good that you're
studying both. And I can tell, especially because my wife, Sheryl,
(55:48):
she loves it every time you mentioned the name y'all
sure right yea or yahweh you know, and even now
to today, and you've probably experienced it too. If you
can be around certain folks, certain circles you mentioned yahweh
or yah shure, they look at you like you just
said a curse word. Why are you saying, yes, that's
(56:09):
his Hebrew.
Speaker 9 (56:10):
Name in the very church, in the very church that
we were just talking about. That you you have to
be so careful because just that, just saying Yeshua or
just saying yahweh, those words can split the church. Yes,
(56:31):
you have some that don't understand the foundation of where
that's coming from. True, and if they would rather fight
about that rather than to live according to God's words,
and that is the foundation to everything. As we got
to do what the Word says and live with the
(56:51):
word says and not try to make it about where
you said Yesua or in this side says Jesus. Say
is have you repented to Jesus? Have you repented the foundation?
Not just saying the name. There's power in the name
(57:12):
of Jesus. There's power in the name of Yesua. The
source that we're serving, not the.
Speaker 7 (57:19):
Name, it's the sources. And I said, whether whether you
say Jesus or yeah, sure, at the bottom line, at
the end of the day, you still got to get
saved right and repent of your sense, you know, and
that comes to the blood.
Speaker 9 (57:34):
So since to argue about that and we're not living right?
Speaker 7 (57:38):
That's right, that's right, That is so true. So look,
how can people reach out to you? How can they
contact you? Give us your contact information, sir.
Speaker 9 (57:49):

for the Youth Choir Team Choir in the Churches of
God in Christ. That's what it was originally written for.
And so we have now been able under the direction
of doctor Shawnee Scales, which is producing this next album,
is working on finishing up the finishing touches of the

song and it sounds incredible and it's just like it's updated,

Speaker 7 (01:01:35):
Wow, you know what, Oh yeah, I need to say
this to brother Shawn Scales. Give them this message. The
Bible says everything we do during the name of Jesus.
So if I ever see him walking on the street,
I'm gonna give him a holy goold slap for a
voice like that. Okay, they don't make no sense. That
(01:01:57):
wasn't say, Oh, Lord Jesus.
