(07:31):
Let's Talk to the Lord Gospel radio talk show and Kingdom.
Our guests for Season ten of Let's Talk to the
Lord is author Daniel Stone. Brother Stone. Welcome to Let's
Talk to the Lord.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
All Right, thank you for having me today.
Speaker 8 (07:50):
And before we move forward with this interview and discussion
about your book, in your own words, please describe the
story of your life.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Well, the Book of Daniel, you know, is my personal testimony.
It's actually the Book of Daniel how God saved Me,
a story of redemption. So I walk the readers through
pretty much almost twenty years of my life of how
(08:25):
you know, I grew up in a Christian home, but
then knowing about the Lord, but I never knew him
for myself, you know, from doing drugs and alcohol that
landed me in prison, to coming out of prison and
still thinking I could still hang out with the same
(08:46):
crowd that I hung out before I went to prison,
and then landing back in jail, and then coming back out,
you know, spending living with my spiritual family who I
met when I was in prison, because he was the
prison chaplain to, you know, coming out when I left
(09:08):
his house, to going back into doing things my own way,
don't coming back to the church. Going back, I was
on what we call what I call a roller coaster
ride because I was always in and out of my flesh,
you know, before and trying to do things my own
way and My breaking point was, you know, when I
was at my lowest point in my life. You know,
(09:30):
you know, I couldn't even look myself in the mirror.
And that's when I finally just surrendered to the Lord
and give him up my will. It's like, Lord, okay,
I make up my mind. I'm going to serve you
all the way, no matter what happens. And from that
day forward, my life has never been the same.
Speaker 8 (09:50):
You know.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
It's like, do have I had struggles? Yes, but I
don't just go back into the world just because a
struggle would come up, because years ago that's what I
did whenever it started getting too hard, I would just say, no,
this is just I don't want this, and I would
(10:11):
just go back into the world. But now I've learned
for us to walk this life out, that we have
to fight, and that is something that the body of
Christ has really yet to figure out that we need
to fight. So that's you know, my story is really
my personal story of redemption. But I take it and
(10:31):
make the reader look at themselves and ask the question,
am I truly saved?
Speaker 8 (10:38):
Brother Stone? Please tell the Kingdom where and when Christ
found you and share a little of your journey to
relationship with our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Well, the first time that I truly knew heard from
the Lord was back in two thousand five when I
was actually in prison. But as of truly surrendering, that
has been uh you know because like a lot of
(11:11):
people say Jesus, Jesus, but they've but then they still
live the way they want. Now, when I surrendered, I
stopped doing the things that I wanted, meaning I allowed
the Lord to truly live through me. And that happened
last July and twenty twenty four. You know, I was working,
(11:36):
you know, and I've just I had a good job.
I had a good job, but I was dead on
the inside. And that's when the Lord truly found me. Well,
when I truly surrendered to him, because I have I
had already accepted Jesus, but I was a back backslide.
I had backslid and and but when I truly surrendered
(11:59):
my life to him, you know say, Lord, Okay, I'll
do whatever you want me to do. I'll speak whatever
you want me to speak. That was last year, in
July of twenty twenty four.
Speaker 8 (12:10):
And what is your calling and purpose to the body
of Christ and in the Kingdom of God.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Well, the Lord has me because I'm an author and
a minister because right now I'm currently living in the
Philippines where I go out three four times a week,
and a minister to others. And really my calling is
to just really wake up the body of Christ to
(12:40):
come out of being complacent, you know, stop you know,
straddling the fence, you know, because my book was written
for me, but it's written for the body of Christ
so that they can see the master that I made
(13:01):
and that they don't have to make the same mistakes.
Speaker 8 (13:05):
And Kingdom, I will be interviewing our Gift about his book,
the Book of Daniel, a book about how God saved
him and the story of redemption. So, Brother Daniel, what
unfolded in your life that birthed out the Book of Daniel.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Well, so I've always known about Jesus because, like I said,
I grew up going to church, I grew up in
a Christian home, had a Christian background, but I did
(13:47):
not know the Lord for myself. You know, because a
relationship with the Lord, each individual person has to make
that choice that they're either going to serve the Lord
or not, you know. Joshua twenty four or fifteen. That says,
to choose this day whom you will serve. But as
(14:09):
for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
And it's a personal relationship that you have to make.
And I never knew that about a relationship with him.
I just heard stories about Jesus because growing up, you know,
I was a kid. You know, I heard about Jesus
fed the five thousand, and he walked on water, and
(14:32):
you know David and Goliath. No, it was art, That's
all I knew. And not until I got into jail
that I actually started reading the Bible. But I didn't
do it firm pure intentions. I started reading because when
I was in jail, one of the inmates told me
(14:54):
and told me, he said, the judge on your case,
she is a Catholic or a Christian. He says, if
you would put on the facade, or if you will
pretend that you have changed, she might be lenient on
you since you've never been in trouble before. So that's
(15:17):
really where that's where me starting reading the Bible started
at is I started doing that, started doing Bible Say,
you just started intending these church meetings while I was
in jail. But as of truly getting to know the Lord,
(15:39):
I started it in two thousand and five, so lash
two thousand and six, but then I fell away for
fell away, then I would come back, then fell away.
But the really transformation that happened with me where I
was serious about it and I meant it happened last year.
(16:04):
And like I said in July twenty twenty four, when
I give everything up to the Lord, and I said, Lord,
I said, I can't live like this no more. It's
like I was. I was at a point where I
couldn't look myself in the mirror because of the man
that I had become. And it's not someone that I liked.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
You know.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
I didn't want to do the things that I was doing,
but I had no power to stop. And it was
only through the power of the Lord that I was
set free that because when he came, when he broke
every single chain, that was all my life. And so
(16:47):
I'm thinking, I think I'm thankful for everything that he's done, uh,
even that it's already been done over a year ago.
And I still think him because I know the type
of man that I was, And that is what my
book is about, is about redemption of the power that
(17:08):
the Lord can do if you will let him.
Speaker 8 (17:12):
And Brother Daniel, in what ways will your book call
the church to wake up from its slumber, repent, and
arm itself with the weapons of holiness, truth, and unshakeable faith.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
My book really looks at the reader. Now it's my story,
but it turns the focus away from me and puts
the focus on the reader where they where they have
to examine their self if they are playing games with God?
(17:52):
You know, Now, when I say playing games and I'm
talking about like being just going through the motions, well,
I go to church because my mama went here or
my daddy or whatever, but I'm not truly following the Lord.
That's what I mean by playing games is like I'm
just going through the motions. You know, it puts it
(18:12):
puts like a bullseye on the persons, like where they
have to truly examine. Am I truly surrendered to God?
Am I truly walking in His ways? Am I truly saved?
Or am I just playing these games? Am I just
(18:32):
straddling the sense? That's what the book really It confronts
the lukewarm Christian, you know, to examine themselves, to see
if they are truly saved or.
Speaker 8 (18:48):
Not and Kingdom. The term redemption implies that something has
been paid for, bought back into, like a slave who
has been set free. It's the action of saving or
being saved from sin, error and evil. It's the action
(19:11):
of regaining or gaining possession of something for payment or
clearing a debt. Kingdom redemption act is buying one's freedom Kingdom.
We are all in need of redemption. The acts of disobedience, rebellion,
and lying characterizes our guilt and sin condition. We all
(19:34):
have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
Christ Jesus, obedience to becoming flesh, preaching, teaching, healing, and
dying a treasonous death on the cross. His shed blood
and the power of the resurrection bought us and paid
our redemption. He freed us of our guilt, and we
(19:58):
are justified freely by His grace and reconciled to God. Kingdom.
Redemption includes eternal life, forgiveness of sin, righteousness, freedom from
the law's curse, adoption into God's family, deliverance from sin, bondage,
peace with God, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
(20:21):
Kingdom to be redeemed is to be forgiven, holy, justified, free, adopted,
and reconciled. Kingdom. Redeemed means to buy out. Jesus's death
was in exchange for our life. Redemption is only made
possible by his death through his blood brother Daniel. What
(20:47):
are the traps of dead religion?
Speaker 2 (20:54):
One of one of the biggest traps is people say, well,
read my Bible. Okay, that's not the same as having
a relationship with the Lord, because if you recall, during
Jesus' temptation, Satan himself was quoting to him the Bible,
(21:18):
the scriptures. So reading your Bible without having the Holy
Spirit is not going to save you, just because there's
many people that read the Bible who disprove the Bible,
but they're not saved. You know, going to church is
(21:39):
not going to save you. Singing in the choir is
not going to save you. Preaching a message from the
pulpit is not going to save you. The only thing
that's going to save you is a personal relationship with
the Lord Jesus Christ. And a lot of people that
are right now in the church in church in churches today,
(22:03):
they go to church week after week, but they've never
accepted the life of Jesus. They've never accepted him, they've
never invited him in. They just go to church because
that's where their wife goes, or that's where Mama goes
or grandma. You know, it doesn't matter. But they they
are going through the motions, not ever coming into the
(22:28):
relationship with the Lord.
Speaker 8 (22:33):
And finally, Brother Daniel in What Wave is Your Book?
A mirror and a prophet, a call to the lukewarm,
compromised and the comfortable.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Well, as I discussed earlier, the book, it's a it
is a raw, unfiltered an account of my life. But
it is confrontational as well. There's some things in the
(23:06):
book where if you are more on a religious side,
you might just close the book and not open it again,
because it's going to not make it easy on your flesh.
It's going to confront you know, your people that are lukewarm,
(23:28):
you know, or those that are passive or complacent, those
that says, well, I go to church, you know, uh,
Wednesday Friday and Sunday. Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, and they they
believe that that's all it is. That, but attendance means
nothing with God without surrendering to him. You know, we
(23:50):
can to do many things for God, but then but
leave him out of the picture. There's many people that
they are in ministry and they're they're just going out
administering to people, but they're not doing it with the Lord.
They're doing it for him, and they've left him out
(24:10):
of the picture.
Speaker 8 (24:12):
So we.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
As a body need to be doing things with the Lord,
not for him, because that is where the church has
messed up so much. Is it's like they're wanting to
bring people into the church building, bring people into the
church building, but they have forsaken of discipling those that
(24:35):
are already there so that they can truly be saved.
Because there's so many people nowadays that are in church
but they are not saved.
Speaker 8 (24:49):
Amen. And is there anything else about the Book of
Daniel that we haven't covered that you would like to
speak about at this time?
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Uh, well, we've covered a lot of the book. But
my life that how I lived before I surrendered to
the Lord.
Speaker 7 (25:14):
I was so.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Low and I thought that I was unsavable. I thought
that God himself could not even save me because of
what I've done. You know, I was like Paul Paul,
you know, saw Paul I thought that I was the
chief among sinners, that nobody, uh, I mean that nobody
(25:42):
was worse than me, that I was the worst of
the worst. I'm really I just want to tell you
if if you believe that, believe that that you can't
be saved, that you've done too much. There's nothing that
you've done that God can't forgive you. For you know, Paul,
(26:09):
which was one of the a great man of God.
He was persecuting the church, killing off all those that
called on the name of the Lord. But then the
Lord met him and turned his life upside down, where
instead of killing, he was bringing thousands and thousands of
(26:33):
people to Christ. So you don't know what God will
do if you will surrender your life to him. You know,
he might have a high calling on your life, and
you don't know that until you surrender, until you start
building that relationship with him and just allowing him to
(26:53):
minister to you. And he might say, well, I want
you to be an evangelist. Good, I want you to
start traveling and spreading the gospel now, because we are
all called to be ministers, we are all called to
go out and make disciples of men, but very few
of us are actually doing it.
