Let's Talk to the Lord gospel radio talk show and Kingdom.
Our guest for season ten of Let's Talk to the
Lord is recording artist and former radio show host Inan Perriman.
Speaker 14 (08:00):
Kingdom.
Speaker 10 (08:00):
Doctor Perryman has worked for or with many noted producers
and artists, which include Mike Vocals of The Commodoores, Larry
Giddings of Cool and The Gang, American Music Awards, Tevin Campbell,
Deaf Comedy Jams Are Killing, Al Green, and the late
(08:23):
Quincy Jones, just the name a few. Doctor Enan Perriman,
welcome back to Let's Talk to the Lord.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Thank you, thank you of us. I appreciate it. It's
wonderful to be here. I've spoken the.
Speaker 14 (08:39):
Lady, Amen and Kingdom. Those of you who have been.
Speaker 10 (08:44):
Listeners of Let's Talk to the Lord, well, remember doctor
Perriman from a previous episode titled the Differences between Secular
and Holy Music, and truly.
Speaker 14 (08:55):
That episode burned up the air waves.
Speaker 10 (09:00):
But doctor Perriman, please serve and in your own words,
please describe the story of your life.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Thank you again, the fossil. I appreciate that, and the
story of my life. While where do we start, I'll
tell you describing everything and summing it up. I'm just
a simple servant of the most High, who has as
little get into it, has been called to service. Amen,
and greatest we know, the greatest, the servant everyone to
(09:35):
be created, King of the way. Up is always down, Amen,
I'll just say down on my knees. But God call
me you know when I was born. Really he said,
I knew you before you were even born, even to
the every hair on your head. So I thank God
for this platform, this easing and I just want to
say that my story in my life begins to It's
(09:58):
a humble young man growing up in the streets of Chicago,
being born. Age of five, I've hit by a car
in a tragic accident, was knocked unconscious, woke up singing,
they said in the hospital, and every since I've been
singing since then. God allowed me to live, gave me
(10:20):
a second chance, and I've been running for Jesus every since.
Got into the professional world of singing straight away from
the church. God brought me back. God saved me, fill
me with this holy ghost, and I've been running for
Jesus ever since.
Speaker 10 (10:35):
Gave me a beautiful life.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
And now we're both in the ministry together. And there
we go. That's a short information.
Speaker 10 (10:44):
Man age man, good doctor Perriman, please go to the
Kingdom when and where Christ found you and share a
little of your journey to relationship with our Lord and Christ.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Jesus, car Lujah. What a wonderful uh question, and what
a wonderful segue into We're overcome by the word of
our testimonies, and I thank God for my testimony. I
started off, as I said earlier, at the age of five,
singing it was brought up in church, singing and everything.
(11:22):
But here's the kicker. Growing up in church, I knew God,
but I didn't know him. I'm just going to have
a relationship with him. We're talking about relationships in the
foundational portions of our Christian walk, right, So the foundation
wasn't there. The Bible says what chain of accounting we
should go and which old and won't depart from it,
(11:42):
right from what the teaching from the word of God
don't hesitate to do with my grandmother and my mother
did and that to put the word in me when
I didn't want here. We were drafted to church. We
were drafted to this church. And because we were singers,
we you know, were touring everywhere and going here and there.
But the word of God that I was receiving. For
(12:03):
some reason, I was always attracted to the Word of
God being preached in spoken word, and not only rely
not receiving also in singing, but more so than the
preached word of God. And it killed my body but
not my soul, if you will, we're talking about about it,
but I also talk about the word of God. Itself
(12:24):
got in me and couldn't shake it, you know, all
the flesh wants to do what everyon wanted to do.
I grew up a young man and went to the army,
got called a war at the age of nineteen, the
Gulf War, and went to the front line on that
the first calling them and saw many you know, ultrocities,
many things happened. And that's when I had an epiphany.
(12:49):
If I die here God, where am I going to
really go? You know? And here's the thing where we
come to where here church doesn't save us. We've got
to have that relationship and honest with God. And that's
our our I like to say, soul saving station and
in the sembling of ourselves together coming to church. But
yet it does not bring about the salvation, doesn't bring
(13:11):
about the relationship one has to have with the Savior.
So I knew him, but I didn't here we go
know him if you will. So I had to develop
a relationship with him to get a chance of the
opportunity to know him. I know, we hear the cliche,
you know, choosing God and you know as a personal savior.
(13:35):
I like to switch that around and see, God chooses us,
because as you said, so lily, he found me in
a time where I did not know him, but I
knew of him and I had a zeal, but not
according to knowledge of him. So I had to dive
inn to find out who is this person? Who? Who
is this deity that loves me? That I can't sing
(13:59):
good damom to grab a host of if you will,
because I'm trying to grab one. But he had chosen.
Speaker 10 (14:05):
He had saw me a.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Long time ago, and it was looking at every single
politary thing that I did, you know, every every way
with move that I made, every club that I performed,
in everything that I did. Uh, it was simply and
this is how we're why we should be careful not
to judge folks because we don't know what God is
doing in their lives and who God is calling. So
(14:27):
our best bet is to pray for them, huh, and
ourselves pray for them without ceasing, right, because we never
know what God is doing and that power of God.
Someone prayed for me on my journey. I always call
her name because she's been strings only sorry Staples. I
(14:49):
was that kind of sergeant in the military. She saw
a long time ago, got a calling all my life
and always taught me with it. Our church boy, God
got a calling on your stop that old cussin. You
better stop that old reblick at you. And I'm like, look,
this is the military. You can't be saying that. She
didn't never let up. You know you're going to church
(15:11):
with me. You ain't going party tonight, but I'm gonna
be at your door knock. And she did. And because
of the fervorance she of her looking after my soul
and praying for me daily, I gradually began to turn
back to Christ to get back into the things that
(15:31):
I had been brought up in. And also the training
and the word of God began to knock at the
door of my heart. Amen. And that is how I
began to turn back to Christ. Even on that road,
I wasn't perfect, but I was working my way back
in those prayers of the fervor and the ranchos of
bailing Munch, and those prayers started digging on me and
(15:53):
started pulling in my heart strings. And I started giving
up and surrendering to Christ. And there we are. I
came back through the door.
Speaker 10 (16:02):
Fired up and ready to go.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
God. I give it all to you, you know. And
many things that happened, but you know, and when God
got through like the prodigal son. I was ready. I
was like no in my father's house.
Speaker 10 (16:15):
I was eating good.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
I never starved in my life, you know. And I
had to turn around and come on back to the
House of God where he could really truly save me.
And I develop a relationship with him so that I
could do what he called me and what he wanted.
Speaker 10 (16:32):
Me to do.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
And here we are, I like to say, I'm just
getting started.
Speaker 10 (16:40):
And doctor Perriman, what is your calling and purpose to
the body of Christ and to the Kingdom of God.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Amen, this wall be my story. My story is number one.
To be a humble servant of our dear Lord Jesus Christ,
and to compel the world. He said, you love me,
feed my sheep, To feed them with the word of God,
telling them, evangelizing them, and letting them know that God
loves you, belove it, and he died for you. So
(17:12):
you have the right to the tree of life with
the perttuation for our sinful condition that we all are in.
And yet the wages of sin may be dead, but
His gift is eternal life. And that is what I preach,
teach and am about, is given especially in this evil
day that we're in now where we don't know a
(17:32):
life from the truth. I give you the truth, so
help me God in his words, every word that proceeded
from out of the mouth of God is what men
are lived by. And that's what I get every day,
and that is I believe my fervorent calling first and
foremost to be saved, second and foremost to compel them
to come and approach to God for in season and
(17:55):
out of season.
Speaker 10 (17:57):
And Doctor Ian and Perriman, please announce our topic, begin
our discussion, and let's go to the word of God.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Highly Loujah, new beginning, new foundation in the Kingdom. Hallelujah,
new beginnings, new foundation in the Kingdom. Holleivia. Glory to God,
love it. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, And that topic, I tell
you it's synonymous and in congruency with my testimony that
(18:36):
I just gave as well, a new beginning, because at
one time we were lost, you know, and in a
world's sin and a world that was contrary, if you will,
to the will of God in the way of God.
And our adversary has a old tactic, but it also
(18:59):
is a steady tactic. And we in this warfare, spiritual warfare,
right waking. It's in high place. We have to be vigilant.
We has had that in our Straindy school about vigilancy,
you know, staying away. We used to be in the military.
Stay alert, stay alive. And I am a believer of
staying alert and staying alive. Why because this is a
(19:23):
new beginning and God is calling us out to a
transformational change. He's given us already the foundation, which is
his word to press toward the market. The Prince I
high calling in Jesus, and that is to get to
his kingdom. I'm writing on a new sermon, are going
(19:44):
to deliver sermon at my church. Big ups to New
Life Christian Church mcdonna. And we're getting ready to start
the series of If I have my ticket, we have
we need a ticket now, I mean it's Oalvation is free.
But even if something is given to you, there's a
little prep work that you got to do in order
(20:05):
to get it. I get my ticket and I go
down to Delta Airlines v SEV. Now I have to
go online and do all the who I am and
verify who I am, and then I have to go
pay my ticket right pay for my ticket. And this case,
Salvation is free, So the Jesus already paid it all.
(20:27):
So I got to go down there and get my
ticket that's reserved in my name. Right then I have
to get the ticket and have the printer however, or
if I want to do it online, have the sense
of my email. Then I have to somehow save that
email and be ready to show that email when the
time comes for me, prepared the board right to get
ready to go off on my trip. Well, salvation, you
(20:49):
know it's free, but faith that our works is there. Yeah,
we believe the Christ is We believe that his kingdom,
you know, it's common. We believe that we're part of it.
And we believe that we're going to you know, redeem
that ticket if you will, and then turns for heaven.
But in order to do that, everything I just mentioned
was actually action. It was actually faith in action. Well,
(21:12):
we know that God promises internal life. We're working towards that, right.
We don't just get it and sit down and you know, oh,
I got my ticket and look at it.
Speaker 10 (21:20):
You know, there's work to be done.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Now. Don't got to pack my bags. I gotta get
what I'm gonna wear when I get there. I gotta
put all my personal items in there, everything that is
needed and required for this trip. Right, I'm going to
be taken wells Ovation is much like that, and the
foundation part of it, you're building that, as we said
in New Beginnings, on that foundation. This is your preparation
for your next step. The old folks you say every
(21:43):
round goes high and hire when the world does that.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Be.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Well, we're preparating, if you will, for faring for our
next step, our next climb in the kingdom. So kingdom work.
Don't just stop just because you got saved and left. Yeah,
you got saved the livery and that's what happened. The
enemy gonna come right and throw some fiery dots ready
right now, because you come a target. You know, I'm
gonna get that one, right because he got something I
(22:09):
will never have, and that's eternal life or the promise
of it. So I'm going to get him, you know
what I'm saying. Now, you're in the war. When I
was a private, hey, get your battle gear on, pull bull.
I didn't know I was getting ready to go to war,
you see. I thought I was just bound the money
to go to college and you know, and do all
that stuff. We weren't at war. As far as I do, Bam,
(22:31):
then I'm in it. And then a war comes and
then like I'm now, I'm required to behave like a soldier.
I'm required to have all of the armor that is
required of every soldier right in order to fight in
this battle. Didn't know the enemy and what I was
going to be up against. Here you go, New Saints,
You're coming in foundation. You'll know what you're up against.
You don't know what you're about to battle, but you're
(22:52):
just ready. You know what I'm saying for for you know,
for whatever comes.
Speaker 10 (22:55):
You don't know what it is.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
You know, but here is the thing you're training. Here's God, Man,
we said, what Man, I live by every word that
puts these out on the mouth for God, E would
go the word again. Right, So every word is your
armor that you're putting. That's your grenade. Put that there,
there's your AK forty seven, put that there. No connotation
towards the physical stuff now, because I know there's a
lot of violence out there, but we're talking about spiritual warfare.
(23:18):
We're talking about the word of God. That's not going
to harm anybody's soul, but it's going to take down
the enemy in a bang. All right, So it's it's
weapons that are not carnal but mighty to the pulling
down of Oh amen the devil. He's busy and he's lethal.
I asked my attorney, says, says, listen, kill, steal, and destroy.
(23:39):
What good about those three things? Silence of the namsis
like that, like what tricks? What's good? Listen, look at
the questions. What's good about killing, stealing, and destroying?
Speaker 10 (23:52):
That is what the lion is about to do.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Kills the I'm going who like a royal lion, seeing
who was who I can divide. That's why we must
be armed, like David was with his slingshot. He had
everything that he knew, the weapons of choice that he
knew would work for him. And so when he slung
that thing around and Elias failed, he had practiced it
about before, because lions had come, you know, and when
(24:18):
he was tending to his father's sheep, right connotation, tending
to his father's sheep. So he was ready. The lions
was nothing, and they were looking at his statue, they
were looking at the thing. You know, he can't possibly
destroy this big giant.
Speaker 10 (24:32):
He was ready for him.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Because he had practiced, how do we practice. We practiced
with the word that a man outlived by every word
that proceeded out of the myth for God. And when
we put it in our heart's, minds and souls, the
word of God stands with us and we become little
David's prepared for that rowing lion, prepared for that giant
that is the devil that will exalt himself at some
(24:55):
great thing. And here you are a little old thing.
I just got the word of God. You got to
understand the loved what you have in that little rock.
That rock is Jesus. That rock is the rock of Biant.
That rock is the strong power of the Holy Ghost
that will destroy the works of the devil in your life.
And this is why it is important to know who
(25:16):
you are in this kingdom and the battle that old devil,
because he is nothing.
Speaker 10 (25:21):
He is nothing.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
I'm telling you everything that we need is in God,
our whole salvation number one. And the power to overcome
this wicked world is all contained in the Word of God,
which we would hide in our hearts and our minds
and our souls, that when the enemy would come like
a flood, we can pull that old word out and say,
(25:44):
get behind me, Satan. Isn't that reminiscent when you think
about David, Yes, you are uncircumcised Philisine, get behind me
and he will let thing around. And it came and
hit that giant and flew him straightway. Didn't say it
was castinin. Didn't said it took them minute, flew him instantly,
and he failed. And this is how we're to walk
(26:06):
in this kingdom time, in this kingdom time, foundational the
word of God. Foundation so that you could stand ye
on the word of God, so that when you throw
those rocks and be aggressive towards the Kingdom of God.
And I want to admongst people in this time, and
especially as creatures, don't be afraid to stand on the
word of God in times like this. This is not
(26:30):
a time to be political. This is not a time.
And I'm really really saying this both physically political and
spiritually political, because we'll try to, you know, fold this
thing down where it pleases men. But if the scripture
tells us in the end time, they will desire its
you thank you know, they'll rest and twist the scriptures
to try to conform it to what fits what sounds good,
(26:53):
you know, keep them in the congregation that kind of thing. No, no, no, no, no,
this is not the time to be doing that. Hunh.
Try to spirit by the spirit, see whether be of God.
This is the time to be aggressive in the word
of God because folks need that. Don't be sketched. Don't
break the little feelings. Lambs are pretty tough. If you
ever see you ever see the lamb before they become Lambtops,
(27:13):
they're pretty tough little animals. They're going to follow exactly
you know what the Master is doing, but they have
to be guided into that. But then when you're handling
the word of God, don't be afraid of it. Don't
be afraid when you know, as he told Timmy, don't
Timothy and tim don't don't don't don't be afraid of
their holy heads just because they got great head or mean,
(27:36):
it's wisdom. Now, wisdom comes from God, and any man
like it. He got to answer to God. I think
the script he tells us right, So now be bold
in the word of God that you are going to
say the word of God that God has given you,
so that in this time where they're trying to politicize
even that that is of God's And again I say,
try the spirit. By the spirit, see whether it is
(27:56):
God beloved. You cannot hate or teach hate and expect
to be in good standing with God. I'm gonna sitting again.
You cannot teach hate and be in good standing with God.
Oil and water, it does not mix. I don't care
who you are. I don't care of your bishop, But
possible how of yourself called If you're out here and
(28:19):
you're teaching hate because of somebody's skin color or because
they look different for you, a different from you. God
created every soul. And the last commandment in the Lasting
I'll leave in this is that love ye one another.
In Revelations is one of the greatest commandments, and the
singular of the greatest commandments, because he said, if you
cast down demons and done all of this thing in
(28:41):
my name, and you have not loved your brother, who
you see every day, you don't even know me. Meaning
everything that you're preaching, you taught about is in vain.
I didn't write it, it's in this scripture.
Speaker 14 (28:54):
It's in vain.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
So now this is the time that you teach it correctly.
This is the time to love it. For us to
love one another more so than any time and ever,
because we're living in a time where the truth is
a lie and the liar is the truth. Seemingly it
wouldn't be possible for the very elect to be fool.
Why it's not going to be possible because of the
(29:17):
word of God. I keep saying over and over again.
Man ought live by every word that proceeded down in
the mouth from God. This and this evil time is
why that is important that we live by every word
that proceeds, not our own. But I think I could
have should have worn. Everybody got an opinion, and there's
a thing. Oh, everybody's entitled to their opinion.
Speaker 10 (29:38):
Know you're not.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
You're entitled to, especially if you're called of God, to
regurgitate or to repeat what God is said, and to
live by what God has said. And let every man
be a liar, because one thing you can never do
is go wrong with the word of God. Amen, you
can't go word wrong with the word of God. Man
will lead you astray, man, and will teach you that
(30:00):
love is hate, and it is not, and equivocally.
Speaker 10 (30:03):
In the word of God it is not.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
There's nowhere in scripture that you can hate your brother
and still make heaven. That's no it in that scripture.
Speaker 10 (30:12):
You can't not do it.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
And in this day in age, we're asked to what
my calling was. My calling is to spread the love
of Christ through his word, through his scripture. And let
folks know, no one the way to descend is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life. You got
to have your tickets. You got to have your ticket.
You cannot get on board without your ticket. And you
have to strive. The Bible says, search the scriptures. In them,
(30:36):
you drink you have eternal life. Oh oh, let's break
the anomology of that down. You think you have eternal
life means that there's possible to think you have something
that you do not have. Here's a scripture say they
give themselves liberties in the New Tour that they do
not have. So therefore I'm searching to find out what
the will of God is, what the way of God is,
(30:58):
so that I won error, so that I don't miss
the tree trying to get on board, because I gotta
have my ticket, but I gotta have the right ticket.
Every ticket not going there. So I both get a
ticket and to be the wrong ticket, So you're going
somewhere else thinking you're having to be I'm breaking that
down and name of Sturn place zigging. You're going somewhere
and then you're not because you didn't check the ticket
(31:19):
to see if it was Chicago and it's La. So
I gotta search the scriptures. I gotta search my ticket,
make sure that boarding passes to Chicago not La. I
gotta make sure that the tiny is correct where I'm
supposed to be. I gotta know all of those things.
Now that the tickets free. But I gotta do all that. Preacher,
(31:39):
what are you saying. I'm saying now is the time
to search that and make sure that you're still in
the kingdom. Do it the correct way. Every word that
proceeded out of the mouth of God, that's how it
to live, that's how to live. Belove it. That's how
we are to live. And in this evil time, this
is the only way that you cannot fool by every
(32:00):
wind of doctrine that's going forth. Every you know, smooth
sounding little thing is not Christ. He said, if Christ,
they said Christ be over there, believes them not? He said,
Christ be over there, believe them not. I'm per afraid
the There's a lot of scripture don't cover, but you're
going to have to read it. I'm trying to pride
you today to say, I got to go back and
search some scriptures. In them, I think I have eternal life.
(32:21):
And I've got to understand what God is saying to
the church. He that has the ear, let him hear
what the spirit he says to the church. And I'm
a viral man, one properlyas and pleasure and man diving
into word of the Word of God and diving into
the new Beginning's new foundation in the kingdom. What kingdom
(32:45):
are we talking about. We're talking about the everlasting Kingdom,
the Kingdom of Jesus Christ that's open and free for everyone.
God doesn't want any of us to be destroyed. But
God is a god of decency and order, and certain
things that we have to do, certain principles we must
have made, certain things we must do in scripture in
(33:06):
order to make Heaven our home. We talk about heaven.
Mail Jackson had a song so everybody talking about heaven
and going now heaven. Amen.
Speaker 10 (33:16):
It was our lyric.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
Amen. So I want to be in that number of
old songs. You say, ninety nine and a half won't do.
I gotta make one hundred. I gotta get it all, Amen,
how he says it. And that's how I want to live.
That is my calling in life, that is my call
to duty.
Speaker 10 (33:34):
Amen.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
I want to see him, Amen. And I just want
to leave this one scripture with everybody, or Revelations three
and twenty and said the hold, I stand at the
door and knock. If any man hear my voice and
open the door, I will come in to him and
will suck with him, and he with me. May God
(33:59):
had a blessing to the hearer through it and readers
of his words.
Speaker 14 (34:05):
And Kingdom. Our topic for discussion for this episode.
Speaker 10 (34:10):
Is new beginnings and new foundations. In the Kingdom, Kingdom
and the world in which we live. We will encounter
many acts of new beginnings, such as having a baby
is the act of new beginnings, moving to a new city,
or getting baptized or all acts of a new beginning.
(34:33):
But the foundation and the source of our new beginning
is the most important and crucial part of a new beginning.
But also we must understand, even with God, our new
beginnings will look different from each other's. Kingdom, a new
beginning is a period of transition and the Bible, new
(34:57):
beginnings means that God grant the opportunity to start again.
Jesus declared being born again.
Speaker 14 (35:05):
Is a spiritual thing.
Speaker 10 (35:07):
Jesus is declaring that our hearts needs to be submitted
to God so that the Holy Spirit can take control
over our lives. New beginnings will not always mean new stuff,
more money, and fancy clothes, but for some a new
beginning will be a lateral move more than a promotional
(35:32):
type of season. Kingdom new beginnings often signifies more than
a fresh start. It embodies God's unwavering grace and the
transformative power of faith.
Speaker 14 (35:47):
Kingdom.
Speaker 10 (35:48):
Many times our restoration can be a process with lessons
about community and divine promise. Many times our new beginnings
and foundations birth out of seasons of exile and return.
Kingdom our new beginnings which is a return from exile
(36:09):
due to idolatry and a failure to follow our covenant
established with God. So God will allow us rebirth and restoration,
and He will release healing and restoration after repentance. So
our new foundation supports our new beginnings. Our foundation for
(36:32):
a new beginning is found on our spiritual growth. We
embody the values of Christ. So all though our beginnings
are not all the same, but as long as Christ
is our foundation with the Word of God, provides our
stability and strength, enabling us to navigate life's challenges with
(36:58):
confidence and purpose. Kingdom building a new foundation in Christ
declares establishing a strong relationship with Jesus Yeshua and understanding
his teachings and relying on him as the cornerstone of
our faith. The Word of God declares, for no other
(37:20):
foundation can anyone lay that which is laid, which is
Jesus Christ. And we must live it intentionally, thereby building
a life that honors God led by His Holy Spirit.
Doctor Perriman, please give the final words on our topic
(37:44):
of discussion, new beginnings and new foundations in the Kingdom.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
A man again, Amen, I love, I love. I love
what you said there, and it is anequivocally true. I say,
Jesus is sure for his word on today. Remember remember beloved,
and revelations. Three. Behold, he stands at the door and knock.
And if any man will hear his voice, he just
(38:11):
read a series of things that are number one underscore
requirements for our life to live in the foundation. And
if anybody hears his voice and opens the door, he
will come in with him, and he will sup with him,
and he with me. So God wants us to be
a part of the Kingdom. God wants us to forward
(38:32):
the part of the Kingdom. And I thank you for
this platform and this opportunity to be a part of
the new beginnings and the new foundation in the Kingdom
of God.
