It's a Max Attack! Wendy is joined by her dear friend, Max of "Maxwell's House." The two discuss how they go way back to the Nickelodeon days and their experience getting slimed together. Also on the table today: eggs. Or the lack thereof due to rising prices.
Wendy also touches upon her experience this weekend volunteering for Last Hope Animal Rescue in hopes to help some fur babies find their furever homes.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Yeah, we don't think things out here. I just kind
of go with that.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm going to try not to say the words like
and you know, really terrible crutch them.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I'm gonna play the intro Life Bites with Wendy Wild,
your bite sized podcast filled with lifestyle stories, personal stories,
and a roundup of stories Wendy talks about on the radio.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Here's Wendy.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Oh you know, this might be Life Bites with Wendy Wild,
but we in Maxwell's house today, we get that.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Yes, Like the whole point is to promote your show,
which is now being rebranded.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
That's not the whole point. The whole point is the
chat with you, homy Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
You guys heard the news that Maxwell is now on
one oh three five K to you. I love it.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
We're so happy to have you here.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
By the way, you're so happy to be here.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
It's refreshing, brought the fresh air like we've always gotten along.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Yeah, it's it's about damn time we work together like,
I love it.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Do you want to tell people about the Nick radio days?

Speaker 5 (00:56):
I mean, getting slimmed was a rite of passage. We
got to play all the hits, all the slime.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Oh my gosh, yes, that was the slogest.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Yeah, you know, you don't think I think about this
every day of my life.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
This lives in your head.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
Rent Free got to hang out with SpongeBob and the
Ninja Turtles.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Remember when they.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Brought us to the Midtown I guess it was there there.
What do you call that flagship the headquarters headquarters?

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, they still go there.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yeah, from time to time.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I mean I still talk to people like orange Pool Table.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
The building is yeah, there's there's rooms that are just
full ball pits.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
That is sick. We need to we need to revisit,
all right. Those are the days I.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Know, I know somebody I'll talk to.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Uh It'll either be Michaelangelo or Leonardo, or it might
be Jerry Chelm.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Those guys love pizza.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
That did not go straight over my head, which most
things do. So appreciates that and appreciate that about you.
So a couple of things we wanted to talk about
on the pod today.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I was at stopping Chops this weekend and.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I felt bad for the store. They had a notice
up right above the eggs and I.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Was like, oh, yeah, yeah, it's gonna be one of
those kind of years for us or maybe four years
for us.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
We'll see.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
How do you think things are going to stabilize a
little bit? That sound right?

Speaker 4 (02:17):
There is an indication of No, that was God chiming in.
Stop talking about that. I don't know politics. I don't
like I.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Would hope to do with the Avian flu whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
You know, whichever which affects everything. I wish we had
access to know a little bit more about it. Yeah,
but alas that's where we're at, and you.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Know, I don't I mean, I'm assuming that you're going
to talk about the fact that you had to, you know,
rename your firstborn child to you know, some sort of
where you say, stop and shop in order to afford
these eggs, right.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I mean, it's a good thing that we're giving out,
you know, the chances to win. But I was like, oh,
I know it's not the stor's fault.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
But man, eggs are the only thing I eat like.
I I've talked.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
About on the pod before about how I'm a little
bit neurospicy and one of my issues that I have
is like textures and that translates to food textures as well.
So I eat like the same five foods every week.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Really, Yeah, I did not know that. Yeah, so there's
a Tuesday meal, a Wednesday meal.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
It's like an every every day. It's some version of
like ground turkey. Okay, eggs and now that that'sius it is.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
But the idea is going to be breaking your bank
for the next little.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Bit here, Yeah, no kidding.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Anyhow, did you do anything special this week? And I
know you have other things to do, so I'm going
to get you out there.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
I know, I bought eggs and it costs me? Yeah,
like no, Joe, and it did it? Did it cost me?

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Well?

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Because my girlfriend she's coming to visit. My girlfriend lives
out of town. She's coming to visit, and she eats
a lot of eggs too, and we I mean she
makes omelets and all the things. So I went to
the market, to my market and bought some eggs, and
I felt like, you know what I'm saying. I was like,
I feel I'm rich, bitch because I could afford to
buy eggs.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I can't even be ethical with my eggs anymore. I
have to just get the basic ones. Do you get
the eighteen counter?

Speaker 5 (04:01):
I did this time around because I knew that they
it needs to last a little bit, but it costs
a lot of butter.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
I have a tip for you and for everyone. This
is first off, I never knew this.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
All right, hit me with it.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
So if you want the eggs to last where they
won't go bad. Okay, all right, I'm listening, don't store
them on the fridge door.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Really, yes, So.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
According to this, they say the fridge door is actually
the worst place to keep eggs because it's the warmest
spot as a result of the door opening.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
And I knew that part.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
That's where you're supposed to keep like your butter and stuff,
because that's what it supposedly keeps it soft.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
You know what I'm saying, the door on the door,
But I didn't know that you're put them.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
In the middle here in the middle or the on
the in the back.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
But here's the thing that's so weird because it's a
thing that we do here in the States that doesn't
happen in various uh European countries.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
They they don't even they don't even refrigerate the but
they wash their eggs.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah yeah, they don't wash our eggs. There's a whole
pasturization process here.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
That's what it is. Oh yeah, Storm if.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
You go to Europe. They just my friend was it
was in Europe. And then she's like, well you don't
wash your eggs.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Wow? Wow man, that's all right. Yeah, you did blow
my mind with that.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
So anyway, stay safe out there with that abi flue.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
I'm actually gonna let you go out the door because
I know you have other work to do before Maxwell
give me.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I'm not meaning to kick you on it.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
It makes sense that I do have some suff but
this can't be like my only appearance on the pod.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
No, it's not going to be because I'm going to
force you to do it, because I'm going to be
the gay Max.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Okay, I'm I would love to all right, come on,
let me get done in like five minutes.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
It was great. Yeah, I love this, all right, only
all right, go do your thing.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Maxwell's House will premiere, Well not premiere He's been on,
but but Maxwell's House will officially be rebranded as of
today at three pm on one of three five ks.
You get out here, love you love you mean it.
So the other thing I wanted to get you caught
up on was this past weekend, I got to vault

(06:00):
and tear at the organization that helped me to t
and R the community cats in my neighborhood. So a
little update on that, and you probably saw this if
you follow me on social media.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
This past fall.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I took it upon myself to try to spay and
neuter five cats. So I had a trapper come and
he helped me trap them. I got these vouchers thanks
to this amazing organization called Last Hope in Wanta. I
ended up spaying and neutering four of them. Another one
was a kit in which I ended up helping to
get adopted. But they were so good to me that
I did offer my services as a photographer. In this

(06:34):
past weekend, we took a whole bunch of like headshots
for these adoptable pets hoping to find their forever home.
So that felt really special to me, just because you know,
when you see the helpers, you want to help them, right.
So this has been another episode of life bites. I
still don't have like a catchphrase to add at the end,
So if anyone has any recommendations, I am all yours.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Let me get this music going.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Oh yes, oh we're back music only okay, And by
the way, I am off to the.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Doctor after this because would you believe?

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Again for the second time this month, I have a
sty situation, so maybe the next episode I'll get you
updated on that. I know kind of gross, but promise
you I am washing my face properly. I'm probably just
allergic to my makeup, but anyway, hit me up if
you have any suggestions. Maybe there's some sort of hypoallergenic
thing that I should be using.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
I would love to hear from you. Until next time,
