Speaker 1 (00:01):
Life Bites with Wendy Wild, your bite sized podcast filled
with lifestyle stories, personal stories, and a roundup of stories
Wendy talks about on the radio. Here's Wendy. Oh hello,
I guess that's me, So we are here. I am
kind of like relaunching this podcast in a way that
ties in personal stories, I guess. And I was thinking

(00:21):
the other day we had such magic on one of
my prior podcasts, Tails over Cocktails. I am joined by
Danielle DeLillo.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Hey, hey, you do it.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
It is so good to be back on the mic
with you again. It's been a long time.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I know I've missed being on a podcast with you.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Well, you know, this is the best of both worlds
because it's short. We don't really go on for over
an hour like we used to make them. Remember when
we made the Twins crazy, Oh god, I needed the
studio and they're like, guys, get out of there where
you keep you drunk?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Get out?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
And we literally were drunk.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Yeah, I mean we had all those cafe but trope shots. Dear.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I just remember the drunker you would get to hire.
Your leg would kick into the air.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Oh god, yeah, because my legs were ready to like
they're like spaghetti, like they're.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Ready the muscles. Yeah, So this podcast is going to
be a little bit different from that. We are going
to touch upon some of the stories that I talk
about on the air, but as you know, like when
you're on a music focused radio station, you really are
only talking for fifteen twenty thirty seconds tops, and there's
not a ton of time to cover everything. So this

(01:27):
will be kind of an extension of that, but also
some more personal stories because you know, as one of
my closest friends, not only my work bestie, but just
in real life too, like twenty twenty four was a
fricking year.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Oh gosh, it was, yeah, Wendy.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
And I think like some of our listeners have picked
up on it. Shout out, Henry pe.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
D Henry, I haven't seen.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Your ex in a long time, Like, what's going on there?
And I, you know, I am one of those people
where I'm very out in the open about things, and
I remember when something pretty how do I describe it?
The thing, the big thing that happened to me this year,
the big transition, the big change. When that happened, immediately
my reaction was to talk about it on the air
and Bartel said no.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Bartel said no.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
We were covering for the morning show when there was that,
when there was that transition going on that and I
came in and this is not our show, and he
said that to me. He goes, Listen, you're in a
state right now. You're kind of in shock. I don't
want you to say something you'll regret. But also, this
isn't our show, but this is this podcast is so
we're in this safe space where we should feel comfortable

(02:33):
talking about things, you know, obviously not trashing anybody. The
whole point is to bring positivity into you know, take
the things that we've learned and how we've grown and
share it with others. So maybe someone who's going through
something similar, can you know, take whatever out of it.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. And I feel like being on the
podcast or having a podcast enables you to just rant
a little bit and share stories.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Oh well, they're ranting.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
And just being open and being vulnerable.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
So I said to Bartell, I was like, I got
nothing to hide, but he's a little bit more private.
I guess, yes, And I guess if I were to
come right out and say the most unhinged thing that
happened to me. Maybe he would have felt obligated to
kind of share something and maybe he wasn't comfortable with
I don't know, or maybe he was just trying to
protect me. But you know, everything's on the table here,

(03:26):
everything's on the table. We're going to talk about the
challenges of daily life. We're going to talk about the
fun stories like for instance, I'll give you a quickie
even though this episode's going to be short. You know,
I almost hugged to my doctor the other day.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Yes, you told me.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
I love that, you know, and to ask someone who was,
you know, recently been diagnosed as neurospicy, Like big surprise there.
I navigate life a little bit differently and the world
like things. These weird things happened to me all the time.
So yeah, we'll get into all of those stories. There's
Is there anything that you'd like to share on this

(03:59):
pilot episode?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Did I tell you how I almost hugged my gynecologist?
Well that, oh, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Wow, even without the drink sour. So we still got it.
And I did want to mention because I did record
a pilot episode with my friend Jeff last night and
we had some audio issues. There were there were some
things we wanted to fix, so he will be coming
on at some point. We're kinda we're going to keep
this revolving door strategy. Oh I love it, Wendy my

(04:31):
Son's chit chat, because I think it is always easier
to have these conversations when you're not just talking at
a wall.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
The more the merria.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yes, thank you for coming in today, and we'll give
out the socials. Yes, you're actually let me get the
music go and hold on, here we go. Oh, the
music's back. Give out your socials.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Oh my personal one, I mean, if you want. Oh, okay,
it's at Danielle Dilillo. Oh okay, that's it. That's all
all right.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Well, I guess I'm kind of mad at all the
social media these days, but if you want to find me,
I'm mostly on Instagram at Wendy Wild Radio. And until
next time, we don't have.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
A catchphrase, not yet. We'll work on that.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
We'll work on that, we'll create. Have a great day, guys,
