Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have a lot to tell you so much.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
I can't wait to hear much.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Life Bites with Wendy Wild your bite sized podcast filled
with lifestyle stories, personal stories, and a roundup of stories
Wendy talks about on the radio. Here's Wendy and we're
back and Danielle's back right in the world ahead. How
you doing? How you doing? How was your weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
It was so chill, it was It was great. I
just lounged and relaxed and took it easy. Yeah, shopped
a little bit. I went to get my physical therapy done.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I hung out with my singer songwriter friend, Cameron Quinlan.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
We went to follow Cameron. Now, she's so good, so impressed.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yes, she's so great. She's only eighteen, that's it.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Yeah, she's a staw Well did you get around taking
any pictures? I did, actually, because I know you take
pictures of the beach, I do. I take pictures and
they're beautiful. Thank you, And I feel like it's you know,
it's that time to be outside and snapping away.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah, Friday night, I took pictures. Yeah, yeah, it was gorgeous.
It was beautiful sunset. This lady took roses and she
put them in water bottles. So she left one on
the boardwalk ledge. So I was like, oh, it's a
perfect opportunity.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I took a picture of the rose where so so pretty.
I want to see them when we're when we're done recording,
you'll have to show them to be I will promise,
you know. Speaking of nature, I had a little experience
with it this weekend. What so. You know, I'm outside
of my backyard. I'm trying to figure out what plants
are going to be coming back this spring, which other

(01:41):
ones I need to maybe pull the roots and start over,
start from scratch. I really have no experience with this whatsoever.
I got them out there, and you know, I do
have those stray cats in the backyard.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
You have a lot of them.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I have a lot. I did actually get a bunch
of them, T and R space you I did. I
remember that for another day. So I'm pretty friendly with
a few of these cats. And I see them playing
with something as I'm cleaning up in the backyard. You
know what it was?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Do I get to guess?

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Or I don't know if you ever will, but it
was I mean, actually you could guess if you were
looking at my instagram.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
S visd close.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Oh a reptile, A reptile.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
A reptile, A reptile.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
It was a snake. It was a snake. It was
like and it was a substantially sized snake. I I
don't do snakes. I love all animals. I don't want
to see the snake harmed. But it looked dead. It
was like laying there, like.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Oh my goodness, I would have died.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Well, I'm like, okay, now, like if they're going to
be playing with this thing, like take it off into
the yard where I don't have to see it. And it
turns out. And then like the main cat out there,
I call her Petunia, Tuna Tuna for short, Tuna's out
there and she's you know whatever. And then she has
this little dumb kitten that follows her around. He actually

(03:00):
he's like very sweet and he's stupid, and he's pawing
at the snake. And then I realized, oh my god,
the snake's moving. It was not a dead snake, And
there was a whole fiasco. I was like out in
the backyard screaming at the top of my lungs because
I'm like, just dig it away.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I would be so afraid. I wouldn't even want to
touch that thing.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, I didn't want to touch him either, but I
also don't want him to be hurt. You know. I'm
like help, help, and the Internet's like, oh, he looks alive.
He just looks cold and scared. And I was like, well, no,
I feel poor a little snake. So I left to
go out to dinner with my parents and I said,
you know what, this is going to be a later problem,
which is the thing that I say a lot these days.

(03:40):
I say, that's going to.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Be a later, late problem.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
And I came back and he was gone, and I said,
you know what, I think he slithered off. They got
bored with him after a while. So I was like, okay,
he's slithering off into safety. It's snake safety whatever, I hope.
So and then I go inside. I go about my business.
I'm doing some laundry, and I see that my motion
lights on and I say, shit, what now?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
And now more of the feral cats are in the
backyard and they are throwing the snake around and like
it's squiggling in the mouth in their mouth and they're
just tossing it back and forth. And then petunia tuna.
She looks at me through the door and she has
it in her mouth. It's squirming, and she looks at
me like this is a gift and brings it to

(04:24):
the porch step and I'm like.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
No, I don't want God, I would have freaked out.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
I don't need it. I don't I have plenty of food.
I don't need a pet snake. So so that was horrific.
It ended up disappearing. I don't know where it is.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I wonder where it is.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, you know, I'll probably find it when I go
home today. It might be on the porch. Oh god,
I know. It's like now I'm like really conscious of
where I step because I was really scary.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Maybe you should call like animal services or something like
who who folks that like capture those things. I can't
believe that you have snakes in New York.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Why are there snakes on Long Island.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I know about lizards, I don't know about snakes.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
So she says, thank goodness, today is National Cocktail Day.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Oh my god, I need a cocktail.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
After that story. I know, wait so crazy, Oh my god,
what's your favorite cocktail? By the way, used to bring
in the most fabulous creative drinks when we details, I
know you were always the one.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I know. My new thing is spicy margariteas.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
This is the second time that came up today, really
because I did a break about it on the air
and Max was in the studio. I was like, Hey,
what's your favorite cocktail? And he's like, I don't know.
Tequila on the rocks and I was like, it's not
a cocktail, and then we both agreed that we love
spicy marks with DM not with the salt on the room.
What's that?

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I love that. Yes, I bought off of Amazon these
little tahen rim makes so you can actually put them.
I put tequila or lime juice in one of the dishes,
put the top of the cup on the swift it
around and then you dip the tahen and there you go.

(06:22):
You got a perfect rim.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I love it. You know, we're talking about a lot
of things today. I think. You know, remember we went
out where did we go? What was the name of
that place? When recently after we went to Seabrook.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Oh oh oh oh, and we craft craft and they
were good, Like.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
The food was good, but we had the drink and
you were like, I can make better. Yeah, And I
was like that right, Yeah, it was not it was fine,
but I was like, I believe, I believe you. You know.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So I bought twenty one seeds Cucumba Julapeno tequila, and
then I go and buy this margarita mix at hoog
It and I use that. Yeah, I'll send it to you. Okay,
it's delicious and it's it's organic. I'm like, all right,

(07:09):
but it tastes so good. I had two of them
on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
You know what I have. Like, I haven't been drinking
as much. It's not like I didn't make an intentional choice.
I mean I did have those health concerns last summer,
but like no one said you can't drink. I just stopped.
I used to love having a glass of wine when
I would cook dinner. Oh I do that, right, It's
just like relaxing. It's it's nice. But then after I
had and I'll tell you, I don't know if everyone know,

(07:35):
you know about the kidney I had kidney stones. Yeah,
the most painful.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Thing I cannot imagine.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
And it was mostly because I was dehydrated.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Oh is that why? Maybe that's why you're drinking. Because
alcohol dehydrates you.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure I'm also genetically predisposed to
this as well. But like, I just went from drinking
mostly wine to trying to up my water intake. And
I also drink a lot of fresca too.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Oh, frescos delict it.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
But it's like a grapefruit citrus. It's just it's so good.
I say, as long as I'm also drinking water, I
will treat myself to my fresco because it's just so good.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
You deserve it.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Maybe this summer we can treat ourselves to, you know,
a spicy mark and you could teach me how to
do it. Oh.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Absolutely, I'll come over your house. Yeah, why don't I
do this?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
I'll take eighty Clariton's.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Oh I know, maybe eighty one, but what all those
cats out there? No, And maybe we'll make like tacos
or something, and we'll have some maugaritas.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Got'd be amazing. And you know, it's great about being
able to cook your own food. And this is it's
pretty orange talk about. But I have so many health issues.
But what was it two weeks ago? Now we treated
ourselves to all the free food that was around here.
There's always. My God, there's always food. But because of
all my allergies, I reacted.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
You saw me, Oh, I saw you. I could not
believe my eyes.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
So there's something about being able to cook your own
food to know what every single ingredient is that goes in.
You could leave certain things out, like you could put
the ingredient, whatever ingredient in your portion. And I know
that I'm not going to have that weird reaction because
it's not just like stomach upset. It's joint pain, it's
brain fog, it's fatigue. And I had to deal with

(09:23):
that for two weeks.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Two weeks just about it was really in terrible shit.
That is terrible.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
I know sucks.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
I remember being able to eat so much more when
I was in my twenties.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Honey meat too.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
It's just like a thing that happens, or maybe it's
been there the whole time.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
And we just didn't have we didn't care.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
You know, you deal with a little diarrhia here and there.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Oh, you know it's yes, So I stopped eating a
lot of red meat. Oh, and I had steak on Saturday,
and then I had some meat balls yesterday, right, and
I really felt it in my stomach. It really bothered me.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Do you find everything gives you heartpur in these days? Yes? Okay,
so besides all of our gut issues and harker and
do you notice my glasses?

Speaker 2 (10:13):
I did notice them. I really liked them, a.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Little bit big for my face. I did buy them online,
so it's hard to tell, but they look great. Nick
from video and he said I look like Jeff Goldblum. No,
I see it, though I know you mentioned as a compliment.
So these are my sensory glasses.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
We're supposed to do.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
I would not say that they're they're sunglasses. They're just tinted.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah, I see the tint. Is it supposed to like
help with the lights?

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Yes, I'm so sick of my I feel it's and
I really it's it's only overhead lights that do it.
Because I was thinking to myself when I was doing
photography stuff, Oh, these big giant soft boxes are so bright.
They don't bother me. But when it's an overhead light,
big fluorescent, I feel like it's searing my brain and

(11:04):
it physically hurts. And I remember one time somebody came
in here. They were setting up for a video shoot,
but I was still kind of on the air, like
packing up my stuff, and they just came and they
flicked that on with no warning. And I was like
like the wicked Witch of the West, Yeah, melting into
the floor because it was so painful.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
I know, I know every time. I don't know if
you're aware of this, but you probably ought.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Every time. You always give me. Liam gives me a warning.
He's so good. But how are people supposed to know?
It's such a lights everybody?

Speaker 2 (11:31):
I know, I know because it's ridiculous how bright they all.
They're so bright.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
But I think a normal person would not be affected
so badly. And you know, no shade to whoever came
in and flicked the lights on, because it's just like
you know, you have to know me to understand that
it's painful for my poor sensitive eyeballs.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Well, I have to tell you, Wenesie, I don't like
these lights either.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Okay, you know, I know, I know.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Isn't that funny?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I want to get the Jeff Goldblum glasses.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
I think I might get the Jeff Goblum glasses. I
think they look fabulous.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Thanks, all right, please join me again. We'll do another
