Welcome back to Mother Like Murders, daily coverage of the
Donna Adelson trial, where she has been on trial for
the murder of Dan Markel.

It is day ten of the trial.

And guess what also the very last day of the trial,
because today we saw closing arguments and about three hours
later the verdict came back. The jury was freaking ready.
And guess what we told you we were coming here
to Crime con. I am standing in our hotel room
right now, Rachel, myself, Heather and y'all. I'm hyped and

Kylie Primetime Crime Crime with a K. And we were
also joined by Stephanie. You guys have heard from her
as well. She has been on the podcast. And Donna
Adelson guilty, guilty.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
On all counts. And guess how we found out? We
are all in the.

Group chat together because this is a huge convention.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
We're all in this big.

Hotel, beautiful hotel, tell but we're all wandering around the
first day and we have this group chat. I looked
down at my phone and I grabbed Rachel and I said,
Kylie just texted the group chat Donna Adelson's guilty and
she sends us a picture. Kylie, this was a monumentous moment.
You have to explain to the listeners how this happened,

because I could not believe my eyes for many reasons.

But please explain.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I have not recovered yet total like core memory. I
was walking back from packet pickup or whatever it is,
getting our bags and stuff, and I saw Vinnie Polatan
and I was like, oh, to my cousin, that's VINNYE. Polatan,
And then I just kept walking and then he says loud,
we have a verdict you want to watch?
Speaker 2 (01:42):
And I ran over there.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
So quick and we watched on his phone with a
group of just a few of us, are probably a
ton of us, and we watched the whole verdict and
everyone was cheering. Donna was sobbing, everyone else was cheering.
It was a crazy time. I have pictures to commemorate it.
It was that's epic core memory cor memory at crime

If you guys do not know the amount of times
I have watched this man go over the Adolson trial.
I was glued to my uh my freaking phone on
my freaking iPad every night watching him recap Charlie Adelson's trial.
I mean he is in He's like epic in in
in court TV. And especially because he is the one

that recaps all this Adolson stuff for me, like my
whole Adolsen brain has just his face recapping stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
So, Kylie, the amount.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Of jealousy I have, but also just the amount of
epicness I have for your moment is absolutely insane.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
And the fact that we could be here together, Kylie.

To record this in the moment and tell you, guys,
we knew, you know what, in our heart of hearts,
we knew this was happened.

Kylie and I just shared with each.

Other that we had a moment where we doubted for
just a moment, even though the defense, I mean two
two days, it's a.

Really tough and all they need is want to hold out.

What That's what I was selling, Rachel. One person out

And so we were a little bit worried you could
come out with a hung jury, because all you need
is one person to say I don't think so. But
that jury came back quick. And as soon as the
jury came back, you you gotta know you could she
was trying before the jury even came into the room.
Because when they come back that quick. You know what
the answer is. And as soon as as soon as

Judge Everett Read started reading, the sobs started coming. He
had to remind her several times to keep her emotions
in check. And we will see, we will see, uh
you know, the outcome of this. I'm sure there will
be some kind of appeals they will try to, you know,
go for but this is, this is what it's culminated to,

and I it is. It's kismet that we were here
to see it happen. Thank you, Kylie for coming on
