Because tonight are getting into seriously skissed off. Since Halloween
is just around the corner, I thought, what better time
to dive into ghost stories from our universities. If you're
like me, there's something extra chilling about the idea of
(01:14):
ghostly encounters happening in places that are so familiar, like
our own schools. In this episode, we're taking a hunted
tour through Ateneo de Manila, USD the Lea sal and Upteleban.
Each one has its own legends, its own mysteries, and
apparently its own spirits. So whether you're a student, an alum,
(01:39):
or just someone who loves a good ghosty story, get comfy,
maybe keep a light on, and let's dive into these
heart detales. Ateneo at Manila University, one of the oldest
and most prestigious universities in the Philippines, isn't just known
for its academic excellence. It is proud in campus reach,
(02:01):
with historic buildings in old, quiet hallways. Has also gained
a reputation as a hunted haven where ghosty stories passed
out through generations. With a history that spans over a century,
including the turbulent times of World War two, Adeneus campus
holds countless memories and, according to some, a few rasles
(02:25):
spirits as well. What makes the Tenaeu's campus so eerie
is its atmosphere, h old hoss, late night retreats, and
a tradition of storytelling that keeps these hunting tales alive
for decades. Students and staff have shared their ghostly experiences,
(02:45):
adding to the growing lore from mysterious staircases. The ghostly
apparitions Adeneus tales continue to thrill and terify. Here are
some of the most famous. One of the most well
known tails is the story of the Infinite staircase at
the Sacred Heart of Novi Shit Building. According to the legend,
(03:09):
a group of retreat goers attempted to descend from the
third floor late at night, but found themselves stuck in
a seemingly and listened each time they reached what they
thought was the bottom. They ended up back on the
same landing, greeted by a hunting painting of Christ. This
heary experience of walking without ever reaching the ground left
(03:30):
the group feeling trapped, and many students believed the staircase
is best avoided after dark. A similar story exists in
Gonzaga Hall, where students report repeatedly finding themselves on the
second floor landing no matter how many flights they descend.
Another famous period on campus is the Bellar Mean Lady.
(03:51):
This apparition, often seen on the staircase landing, is known
to wave at passers by. According to law, anyone who
doesn't wave by might find themselves face to face with
the lady herself, a terrifying encounter that view with their risk.
This coastly figure has become an iconic part of a
(04:11):
Tenaeu's cozy stories, and her quiet presence continues to unsettle
students who adventures through Bellar Minhul. The Old Communications Department
building holds some of a Tenaeu's most disturbing tales. One
story tells of a janitor and a security guard who
experienced an unexplained encounter involving handprints made of human ways.
(04:37):
After the security guard use a restroom on the second floor,
a janitor later discovered hand Prince is mirrored all over
the bathroom walls. When the guard cling he had left
the bathroom clean, the janitor noticed a mysterious handbrint on
the guard's back. Adding to the mystic and fear surrounding
the building is eerie occurrence, combined with others sightings, has
(05:01):
cemented the Old Communications Department's place as one of the
university's most hunted spots. Adding to the unsettling atmosphere of
the Old Communications Department is the story of a mother
and child apparition. Witnesses have reported seeing a woman and
her child slowly climbing the stairs, only to vanish into
(05:23):
thin air before reaching the second floor. This spectrocyting has
fueled rumors that the building serves as a kind of
spiritual portal, allowing goods to cross over into the realm
of the living. Some speculate that the figures could hear
from Ateneus war ear pass, while others believe they are
simply spirits unable to mobile, and so from the shadowy
(05:47):
corridors of Ateneo we make our way to another story
in campus. The LaSalle University in Manila, known for its
iconic Saint Lasal Hall, these institution hosts within its wall
memories not only of students pass but of part time
tragedy and restless spirits that seem to linger long after
(06:08):
the final bell. During World War Two, the Lassa's hosts
provided shelter for those seeking refuge from the devastation outside.
But in the chaos of war, these hosts became the
singing of unspeakable violence, and to this day, the spirits
of those who perish are said to wonder, their presence
(06:30):
woven into the very fabric of the university. Let's take
a closer look. From bloody stained apparitions to ghost they
whispers echoing through silent rooms. The less all sounded legends
are not for the faint hearted. One story stands out
among the us known by almost every student. The soldier
(06:51):
in Saint LaSalle, who this goose, forever marked by the
horrors of war, is said to hunt the university's travel
Those who there are visit late at night. I've reported
seeing a young soldier bloodied and stackering. Bayonet wound is
still fresh, and he crawls toward them in silent agony
(07:12):
where Tosy encounter him. It's a side they say they'll
never forget. And then there's the cheating tale of motion
Marie Hole Womb to the Teter department. This hoe is
notorious for more than just trama. On stage, students report
seeing phantom figures, hearing footsteps when no one is there,
(07:32):
and door slamming shot on their own. It's as see
if the spirits of the past are drawn to the
energy of performers lingering in the dark, watching from the
shadows at Plassalle, even a simple trip to the restroom
isn't safe. A djankohl is a home to a mysterious

then ride back where they started. Those have experiences say
it's a stow. The building is does month to let
me by. Esau University, much like Ateneo, as a hunting
history that persists to this day. The wartime tragedies that
scarred its hosts seem to have left an imprint, one
that may never truly fade away. Next will move to
(08:16):
the University of Santa Tamas, where history and the supernatural
intertwined in the erie corridors of one of the oldest
universities in Asia. And now, as we wander deeper into
the mysteries of the University of Santa Tamas, the shadows
grow darker and the air feels heavier. This campus essentially
(08:39):
home to academic traditions, but also to some of the
most chilling ghost stories that continue to hunt its students
and stuff. Take Benevid, a spark known by many as
lovers Lane, but by night, this sir in part takes
on a more sinister tone. It said that the Dominican
Friars goes rooms here, walking in the paths under the trees.
(09:03):
Many students' reports seeing him late at night, a faint
figure in traditional rooms, gliding through the park, and if
you look away, even for a moment, he vanishes without
a trace, as if he were never there at all.
His presence, they say, is a reminder of the solemn
mystery rooted in these girls. Then there's Saint Raymond's Building,
(09:27):
onto one of you, dismost tragic and hunting tails. In
nineteen eighty seven, a student overwhelmed by personal struggles took
her own life by jumping from the fourth floor. Since then,
the spirit of the crying student has been said to
hunt the building. Security guards and students over clay into
(09:48):
the night claim they can still hear herself mournful cries
echoing down the hallways, especially around room four h six.
Some say they've seen her sho shadow in the distance,
standing silently before vanishing into thin air. It's a story
that leaves a lasting impression, reminding everyone of the sorrow
(10:11):
that sometimes lingers long after life has left. The ghosts
of usd tells stories not just of supernatural encounters, but
of human history, emotions and memories that refuse to fade,
And as you walk its historic grounds, it's easy to
imagine that every shadow holds a story, and every quiet

corner hides a restless spirit from usd We travel now
to upid Deleman, where modern hosts still hold mysteries fing
to be uncovered. So as we continue our Halloween journey,
we come to my own stumping grounds, well sort of
a may student too, although not in Dileman. But it's
(10:54):
always fun to explore these stories that echo through the
hosts of Upidlemann. Residents and faculty alike share tales of
the supernatural. The University of the Philippine Ciliman is known
for its sprowling campus, old buildings, and of course, its
share of ghostly encounters. Among these, one of the most
(11:16):
unsettling takes place in the College of Education. It was
a stormy night, terrain boaring down rendlessly. A professor, stranded
by the downpar asked the guard if she could stay
overnight in the College of Education. The guard agreed, but
with one strict instruction. She was not to open the
door until he returned for her in the morning. Perhaps
(11:38):
it was the quiet tone in his voice, by the
way he avoided her caze, but she felt unexplainable chill
as he locked her inside alone with only the storm
for a company. Her mind wandered to the ghostly rumor
she'd heard whispered among her students. She tried to brush
them off with every Greek, and whisper of the wind
(12:01):
made her heart bound. Then, as the night grew deeper,
she heard footsteps outside. The door is slow and deliberate,
moving closer until they stopped just outside. Curiosity got the
best of her. She leaned close to the door, rousting
her eye to the small pepole. But instead of the
hallway beyond, all she saw was red, just an intense,
(12:24):
endless red that falls as though it were alive. Feeling
her vision drowning out everything else. The guard returned the thawn,
unlocking the door. She asked him if the stories were true.
He nodded slowly, describing a spirit that walks the hose
at a particular hour each night, dressed in white with
(12:46):
eyes that glue blood red. Some say the professor never
stayed in that building. Again. Then there's the eerie tale
of Winson's Hall. It was the end of the semester,
a time when students flooded the hallway of eupid le
Mans Vincent's Hall. But for one student, this night would
be unforgettable and not in the way he'd imagine. While
(13:08):
waiting for her friend on the second floor, and decided
to pass the time with the book, enjoying the rare
peace and quiet Menie stick by and the floor grew
ierily excilent. Suddenly he heard it, the faint sound of
a woman gasping for breath coming from the man's room nearby.
It startled. He brushed it off, deciding he must have
(13:28):
imagined it, but when his friend arrived, he didn't resist,
asking didn't you hear that? His friend shook his head,
laughing at off really and settled, but curious student decided
to step into the restroom before they left. He chose
as tall and closed the door, trying to dismiss the
uneasy feeling creeping over him, But then he felt something,
a gentle pat on his head. Frozen, he tried to
(13:52):
rationalize the sensation, forcing himself to look up. There hanging
above him was the girl's lifeless body, her twisted and
her eyes wide and unblinking. Her skin had taken on
a sickly very hue, and as he stared horrified, she
realized that it wasn't just her eyes fixed on him,
(14:13):
it was her feet brushing against his head. Before he
could mean, she let out a blood curtling screen, and
he boded, leaving the stall door wide open, vowing never
to return to that restroom again. Even now, suldn't say
they avoid that restroom, and those brave enough to enter
can still feel the chill of something watching or waking.
(14:40):
Universities are places of growth, of learning, of shaping futures,
but perhaps there are also places where the past clings on,
refusing to let go, echoing through halloways and lingering in
shadows or some these tails or simply stories passed down
from generation to generation. But for those who felt the chill,
(15:02):
where the footsteps are seen, the figures in the dark,
the line between myth and reality blurs. Whether you believe
in spirits or not, Maybe we were all drawn to
these tales because they remind us of something universal, a
curiosity about the unknown, a thrill for the unexplained, and
maybe even a comfort in no way that we are
