Yesterday afternoon, a car crash resulted in a vehicle in
a home in Shawnee Township. It's the second time in
less than two weeks a vehicle has struck a home
in Lima or the surrounding area. Back on November eleventh,
the car ended up crashing into a home on West
Elm Street in Lima. Yesterday, the incident happened at the
intersection of Wallpac and Briess Roads. WO had the footage

yesterday showing an suv crashed into a home in the
three thousand block of Wallpawk Road. The Shawnee Township Police
say that the incident was actually a three vehicle crash.
A car ran the stop sign at Briee Road to
Wapawk Road, hit the suv that ended up crashing into
the house, pushing it off the road. Luckily, no one

was injured in that crash. A pickup truck was also
struck during the crash. The driver of the car was
cited for not yielding at the stop sign. A final
decision has been rendered as to improving the intersection of
State Route sixty five and Blue Lick Road north of Lima.
Odott yesterday announcing the selection of a single lane roundabout

that will be constructed just to the north of the
current intersection. O DOT District one Deputy director Chris Hughes
said the was ultimately chosen because it significantly enhances safety.
It will also improve traffic flow and provide a smoother commute.
The decision was made following public input back at October.
Other alternatives were studied but ultimately discarded, including adding turning

lanes on Blue Lick Road or constructing a roundabout northwest
of the existing intersection. Odott says construction of that roundabout
at Blue Lick and State Route sixty five will begin
in the summer of twenty twenty seven. There's been a
