There was another incident of shots fired at a home
in Lima last night. Not many details being provided by
the Lima Police Department, but they say four to six
shots were fired at a home in the eight hundred
block of North Baxter Street last night. There were no
victims and the investigation is ongoing. A home in Shawnee
Township was destroyed by fire early yesterday morning, WLIO reporting

it happened about two am on Thursday. All the occupants
of the home were outside when fire crews arrived and
they were able to get all their pets out of
the home safely. No cause for that fire, as you
have been determined, and the home again is considered a
total loss. Turning to national news, the Trumpet administration is
reportedly working to stage ICE agents at a military base

near Chicago, after the President threatened to send the National
Guard to the city to fight crime. Fox thirty two
Chicago's Paris Chutes as the latest.

of the Ohio State University Meat judging team. Doctor Lida Garcia,

an associate professor at OSU and Extension Meet specialist, talked
about what they're looking for and the Carcass Show as
far as judging a winner, main thing that.

We want to do is find out, you know, how
much sellable product we have from each carcass and one
added factor for the beef side is quality, and that
accounts for estimated age at time at harvest and marveling score,
and so again, at the end of the day, it's
really about how much of that carcass are we able

to sell. And of course the one that best combines
trimness and muscling to the highest degree, and in this
case for beef carcasses combined with quality is one who's
going to do best.

OHSU Extension will announce the winners from that carcass show
later today. Also, we have final attendance numbers for this
year's fair one hundred and seventy four three hundred and
fifty nine. That's an increase of about twenty thousand over
last year. As usual, the first Saturday of the fair
feature to the highest attendance, driven by the Lauren Diegel concert.

Attendance on that day was recorded as thirty four thousand
and sixty three. Fans under twenty one should think again
before drinking alcohol at Ohio State's a football game tomorrow.
Undercover members of the Ohio Investigative Unit will be out
and around on campus tomorrow looking for various violations, including
underage drinking OIU is tasked with enforcing the state's liquor

security at tomorrow's game as well. The UAW strike at
GE continues. Workers were seen on picket lines at the

six hundred workers at the Evendale plant and also at
a plant in northern Kentucky. Workers are on the picket
line due to a healthcare cost increase proposed in contract
negotiations and over demands for more time off and improved
job security. And Ohioan's filed just under five thousand new

unemployment claims last week, slightly fewer than the week before.
Another forty six thousand continued claims were filed, also showing
a decline. The state's unemployment rate for July stood at
five percent, compared to the national rate of four point
