Lucien's McDowell episode Love That Stand Ridin all Bag Standing amir Rid. Hello

(00:45):
everyone, and welcome to Lucia's McDowellLiving Right Podcast tonight. I am so
excited about what we're going to betalking about tonight. Well, we've been
doing this series going walking in theSpirit, go to vading the fruit of
the Spirit. Well, this fruittonight that we're going to be talking about
is the fruit of joy. You'vealready talked about love, and we're going

(01:06):
to jump right into the joy onebecause we know that the joy of the
Lord is our spriend. But Iwant you to understand that asks we begin
to build these things, I wantyou to check yourself. I want you
to go back and check your garden. I want you to make sure that
there are no weeds in the garden. I want to make sure that you
have given the first lives with theword of God. I want to make
sure that you've kind of couple thatthing with prayer. I want to make
sure that you've done all of U'snecessary so that your fruit can bide and

(01:32):
it can produce very good things inyour life. Why you're gonna need that
fruit, because you're gonna be challengedin everything that you're listening in here and
do, because it's the job ofthe enemy to come in and try to
still kill and destroyance every seed thatis being sewed into your life. And
tonight, guess what, I'm justthe sower. I'm just sowing that word
of God. And as I keepswing that word of God, I'm going

(01:53):
to believe God that you are goingto receive an abundance. I don't know
about you, but you know, every since I've been dealing with walking in
the spirit, Yes, so it'sbeen showing up as to go back and
check and make sure that my gardendoesn't have any weeds, and they got
to make sure, you know, snakes and all of that stuff. I
gotta get all of them out.Can let the scarefow come in and eat.

(02:13):
Can let the actually birds come inand eat and tear up the things
that have already been planted, becauseI know that the seed is in the
ground and the seat is going toproduce good fruit. So it's not We're
going to be talking about the importantsubject matter which is very important into having
a rightful relationship with God and howwe grow in the earth, and that
is walking in the spirit cultivating yourjoy, your joy, your joy,

(02:38):
your joy. So let's go rightinto Second Timothy the third chapter, the
sixteenth of the seventeenth VERSI. Youshould notice my heart does we talk about
it every time we open up theshow. All scripture is given by inspiration
of God, and it's profitable fordoctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instructions, and righteousness. Thatthe Man of God may be perfect.

(02:59):
That means that he's mature. We'rein thoroughly furnish unto all good works.
Let me tell you something. Weshould be trying to be better than what
we were yesterday. My goal thisweek is to make sure that I better
than what I was on Saturday andSunday. In back my food and intake
for the Word of God on Sundayhelps me to say I am already moving

(03:20):
forward in God. Our verse infourth chapter, the seventh verse, it
says, wisdom is the principal thing. Therefore, get wisdom and with all
that getting get understanding. It's soimportant for you to get understanding because we're
living in some perilous times and thereare a lot of people who are not
adhering to what the Word of theLord is saying, we want to make

(03:43):
sure that we are adhering to theword of God, because as we listen
to the Word of God, wewant to make sure that we not only
can hear it, but we canlive it. You know, we build
our faith by the word intake, and our word intake is very important in
this day and hours because we cannotgo one day without getting some word in
us. So that means that you'vegot to find a way to get something

(04:05):
to feed your spirit, even ifyou're listening to or a recording, if
you're listening to a podcast, ifyou're listening to a good preacher that's going
to teach the word of God.Now, don't just be listening to anything,
because everybody don't always align themselves withthe word of God. If you
find yourself listening to something where youknow there's a lot of opinion versus the

(04:28):
scriptures, I would tell you listenerbewhere, because what you need to do
is you need to be able torenew your mind every day. It's our
job to make sure that our mindsare renewed so that we can fool that
is good acceptable in the perfect ruleof our God. The only way we're
going to do that is we gotto get word in, get word out,

(04:48):
and not just get word in ourheads, but get it into our
spirit. So some kind of wayhe travels through the mind zone, but
you got to meditate on it sothat you can't get it in your spirit.
And once it's in your spirit,is always launched in there, but
it's waiting on you to use itto pull it a when you have need
of it. Roberts the fourth chapterof verse number seven, it says,

(05:12):
wisdom is the principal thing. Thereforeget wisdom and with all thy getting get
understanding. You know, we needto understand that. You know, you
can listen, you can read allyou want to, but you've got to
be able to dissect the word ofGod so that you are able to get
understanding exactly of what the word issaying. Because what good is it to

(05:33):
do and read it all and notbe able to understand that. You need
to get understanding. Their file saysin all by getting get understanding, because
once you get understanding, it's goingto help you in your living right moment.
Oh praise the Lord. Well,we're gonna jump right into delations because
in relations the fifth chapter. That'swhere we begin our journey relations. The

(05:56):
fifth chapter, verse number sixteen saysthis, I say, then this is
all the talk. He's to walkin the spirit and when ye and ye
shall not fulfill the lust of theflesh. In other words, be led
by the Holy Spirit. In otherwords, making sure that you understand the
difference between the flesh and the spirit. Spirit is the is, the Word,

(06:16):
is the presence of God on theinside of you. It's God that
the Holy Spirit is the Yes,the third person of the Holy of the
Trinity. I'm sorry, it's thethird person of the Trinity, and he
lives big on the inside of you. And he's gonna lead you, guys,
to show you, speak to you, show you all things. It's
our doubt that we train ourselves sothat we know when he is speaking and

(06:39):
when he is not. But atthe same joke, and we need to
also understand our flesh, because it'sour flesh that is always wanting to do
those things that are contrary to theHoly Spirit. But when he says this,
I say, then walk in thespirit, and you shall not fulfill
the lost of the flesh. Hesays in frese seventeen. For the flesh.
Lust is against the spirit, andthe spirit against the flesh. And

(07:00):
these are contrary the one to theother, so that you cannot do the
things that you would. But inverse eighteen it says, if you belived
of the spirit, you are notunder the law. You're not under the
law. And it goes on inverse nineteen through twenty through twenty one,
and it talks about all of theworks of the flesh. I just want

(07:23):
to make sure that you do understandthat these things are real. And if
you don't deal with them, they'llget so strong in you that you'll be
hard. It'll be very difficult youto really listen to the voids of the
Holy Ghost. You don't want tobe like the men of old that you
know, they were so busy doingthe things of their flesh that became stiff
neck when the Holy Spirit starts speakingto them. Three verse number twenty two,

(07:46):
it says, but the food ofthe Spirit is love, joey,
he's long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, neatness, difference. Against
such there is no law. Andthey that are christ day, that are
Christ have crucified the flesh with theaffections and love. So verse twenty five

(08:07):
says, if we live in thespirit, let us walk in the spirit.
If we live in the spirit, then let us walk in the spirit.
So we want to make sure thatyou know that we are living in
the spirit. We want to makesure that we are walking in the spirit.
We want to make sure that we'redoing those things that we're supposed to

(08:28):
be doing so that God can beglorified in our lives. Now, I
want to begin to go back tothe first group that we talked about was
just the food of love. Wedidn't got a good job on that one
on last week, and we aregoing to be moving on to joy tonight.
Don't set me enjoy Joy, Joe, how great with God? Joy?

(08:50):
And I want you to understand thatthere are some things about that love
Father, you can't forget, andthat is you gotta walk in love at
all times because God for us toshow thee adape love. And I'm gonna
tell you you gotta make sure thatyour love walk is right, it is
in fact, and that you're notover in your flesh, because when you're

(09:11):
in your flesh, you can endup. You can end up, I'll
say it again, you can endup causing hurt and harm and bad things
happening to your brother's and your sisters. We need to always make sure that
we are walking in love, becausethat love is the word that God wants
to always abide by. You know, think John the third chapter, the

(09:31):
sixteen verses, for God to theloath the world that he gave his only
for gotten son. I want youto know that that word love is it
is a dape, it is theit's the cheaply used all throughout the New
Testament to depict the love of God. And the end. This word that
Paul uses in relations of fifth chapter, the twenty second verse, this is

(09:52):
what you call the high level oflove. But there are no how you're
finer or more excellent love then theaGod the love we have the best way
or best example of a Godfey againis found at John three sixteen, where
it says, for God's soul lovedthe world that he gave his only begotten
son. Again again, that wordlove is deaddee. A God is a

(10:16):
love that love so profoundly that itknows no limits or bounded in how wide,
how far, how high, orhow heep it will go to show
you that love, that love toits recipient. Now that God they Love
is I call it a distributions, and it's not always looking about receiving,
but it's always looking about how itcan get it out if necessary. God

(10:39):
they Love will even sacrifice itself forthe sake of others so that they will
be able to experience the love ofGod. And God so much love for
world that He again gave It's onlybegotten son that the hoosoever believed in him
with God parents, but will havenothing but the ever last then life,
don't we talked about? So tonightbe gonna jump over to what we talk

(11:03):
the fruit of joy. The fruitof joy, it is a wonderful fruit
and it is a wonderful food.We want to make sure that you know
we are again giving you all ofthe necessaries that are needed for you to
really do the things that need tobe done. Check out your fruits.
So guess what are you walking inlove? Has been walking in love?

(11:24):
Have you been making sure that you'renot being angry with people? But you're
being who God has calling you tobe as for as the love is concerned.
So now we're gonna jump right intothe fruits of joy. J O.
Y. Joy joy in the HolyGhost. Well, we should say
that some years ago, joe letthe devil steal your joy. Don't let

(11:46):
this devil steal your Joey. Don'tlet this devil still your joy. Joey
and the Holy Ghost. I thinkthat you know we were singing that for
reasons, because the joy of theLord is our strength, and we want
to make sure that we are doingwhat we are supposedly to be doing lower
to God. I want you tounderstand that joy comes at a time when

(12:09):
there's great challenges, and that's thetime that you are able to really make
good of that fruit being alive inyour life. I like James when it
says, my brother endcounted all joywhen you fall into diverse temptation, and
I was not saying, just bejoy for that you feel. It is

(12:30):
then that when you're having opposition, when you're having tough time, when you're
having affliction, this is a greattime for you to tap into what we
call joy. One of the waysthe Holy Spirit helps us in this situation,
it's to give us what we callsupernatural joy. The Greek word for
joy is chah c h a ra, and it is derived from the

(12:52):
word chare is and the Greek wordfor that is great. Just tell us
that joy isn't a human faced happinessthat comes from that comes and goes,
but rather joy it's produced by thegrace of God and it manifests particularly in
hard time. So I don't haveto ask nobody out that are you going

(13:15):
through any tough time? Let metell you something. When you're going through
time, you got to make surethat you don't that that devil steal that
joy because that joy has been sewninto you by the Holy Spirit, the
seed of joy. And remember whathe said in the very beginning, every
seed produces after its own kind.I'll say it again, every seed produces

(13:37):
after its own time. So thatmeans that I've got to be able to
pull that joy up and you know, work on that joy to make sure
that I rejoice in the Lord atall times. I got to make sure
that I am not walking around justheavy, heavy, heavy, to the
point that my joy is depleted, because it's my responsibility to make sure that
you know my joy is there. And I'm telling you now, this joy

(14:01):
is Is it a human based happinessthat comes and goes. It is true
joy that is produced by the graceof God, and it manifests particularly again
in hard times. You know PAP'swords over in First Thessalonians, first chapter
Thetic verse. He told the Thessaloniansthese words, and he became followers of

(14:24):
buzz and of the Lord. Haven'treceived the word in much affliction. Notice
what they're saying in much affliction? In other words, it was a lot
of opposition. But notice when theygot that word with much affliction, it
was with joy on the Holy Ghost. Now tell me, hey, you're
gonna get much affliction with joy ofthe Holy Ghost. Most of Paul's writing

(14:48):
he associated joy with times of affliction. Now the word affliction is it means
that, it means it is sostrong that at least no room from understanding
regarding the intensity of the afflictions thatthe Thessalonians faiths. Here, the word

(15:09):
of affliction, it conveys the ideaof a heavy, pressured situation. And
I know about you, but youknow when you are heavy and you are
in a pressure situation, so manytimes you don't feel like nothing. But
the reality is, we know thatlife is not based on a feeling,
but the fact that the Holy Spirithas given us the food of joy,

(15:35):
and just like the love factory, guess what, we have a responsibility to
let joy arise. I really believethat when joy arise, the enemy is
scattered because his job again is SaintJohn ten ten has enemy comes but to
kill still and to destroy. ButJesus said that I come that you might
have life, and that you mighthave life more abundantly, more abundant.

(16:00):
Now once Golin says, it wasfirst used to describe the specific act of
tying a victim with the rope. This is a heavy pressure situation, land
him on his back, and thenplace it a huge boulder on top of
him until his body was crushed.Paul which he uses this word to alert
us two moments when he or otherswent through a grueling, crushing situations that

(16:27):
would have been unbearable, intolerable, and impossible to survive if it had not
been for the help of the HolySpirit. You know, we just did
a project at our church where weput some rocks out in the entrance and
there these big rocks, and I'mtelling you, as I'm beginning to go

(16:47):
and study this, I started thinkingabout it. What would happen if one
of those rocks were laid on someone'sback, and then another I mean rope
was laid on someone's fact that theylaid them on their back and then they
placed those huge rocks on top forthem until their body was crushed. If
you don't move those rocks, itwill take life out of you. And
I can just imagine any person onthe bottom of under those rocks were really

(17:08):
dealing with heart tough times. Sohere hear you again the moment he used
this word, he said, whenyou're going through grueling, brushing situations that
would have not been that would havebeen unbearable, imtolerable, and impossible to
survive if it had not been forthe help of the Holy Spirit. Now

(17:30):
go back again to that Holy Spirit, because what we said that the grace
of God, it manifests in particulartimes when there are hard times. Remember,
he says, when I am weak, then he is strong. It's
were policy, and he graces usthat we're able to carry on and do
things that we would not be ableto do otherwise. So here, the

(17:52):
Holy Spirit is our helper in everything. The Holy Spirit is our helper,
and he helps us to get throughbecause he helps to get through based on
that seed of joy that He hasalready placed on the inside of us.
Now, I want you to knowthat that seed of joy is for every
born again believer. Every born againbeliever has that seed that measure, but

(18:17):
it's up to us to cultivate. That means that through prayer. That means
that through prayer, through reading theWord, we get strengthened. We are
able to rejoin in knowing that evenwhen times are tough, even when times
are grueling, even when times arecrushing, even when there are situations that
are unbearable, even when it's intolerable, even when it's impossible to survive,

(18:41):
we know that we would not survivehad we not received the help of the
Holy Spirit, coupled with the graceof God, which manifests so that we're
able to get through it, andwe're able not just to get through it,
but we're able to win as weget through it. One of the
ways that the Holy Spirit helps inthese situations is that he gives a supernatural

(19:06):
joy. However, it's important tounderstand that this divine joy isn't on the
same level as happiness. Happiness isbased on circumstantial pleasure, merriment, hilarity,
exuberance, excitement, or something thatcauses one to feel hopeful or to
be in high spirits. These sleedingemotions of happiness, although very pleasurable at

(19:30):
the moment, usually go just asquickly as they can. But that means
that you know they will go andthey will come. But even when they
go and they comes, you stillgotta go back and deal with those bruing,
crushing situations that are unbearable, intolerable, and impossible to survive. And
again you can only survive them bythe power of the fully ghosts. The

(19:52):
only text is for one piece ofbad news or a bad situation to happen,
of a word used for a spouseor any worker, or an electric
field that is so expensive that youcan't even pay it, and all of
a sudden that emotions of happiness candisappear right before your very own office.

(20:15):
But joy is unaffected by out whatcircumstance I'll set again, Your joy should
be unaffected by outward circumstances. Itshould be unaffected. In other words,
nothing can steal the joy, becausethe joy of the Lord is your stress
lower to gud. In fact,it is usually thrives, It usually strips,

(20:38):
strives, best when times are tough, because when times are not tough,
or when times are not taxing, that's what you gotta focus on another
fruit. But when times are tough, and when times are times saying you
need joint it is god supernatural responseto the devil's attack. Every time you
get attacked by the enemy, youneed to stop trying to do things in

(21:00):
your own power, might and ability. That's why for the very onset of
this teaching, you got to goback to Galatians, to fifth chapter the
sixteen verse this, I say, then walk in the spirit, and ye
shall not fulfill the lust of theflesh. Blow over to God. And
it goes on, and I justremaining as if for the flesh lust is
against the spirit, and the spiritagainst the flesh. And these are contrary

(21:23):
the one to the other, sothat you cannot do the things that ye
would. But if you be ledof the spirit, you're no longer under
the last. So verse twenty fivesays, if you live in the spirit,
let us walk in the spirit.Let us walk in the spirit,
so that we are being moved bythe spirit of God. And remember what

(21:44):
we said, we're stop responding tofleshly things because we need to make sure
that we are responding by the spirit. We're responding to the Holy goes.
And as we begin to respond moreto the only spirits, the joy of
the Lord just comes over. Andguess what, we have more victory over
the Flesch versus putting emphasis on alwaystrying to respond to the place. So

(22:07):
if we learn how to respond tothe Holy Ghost, then you'll have less
issues in your flesh, because HolySpirit's gonna beed you. He's gonna guide
you. He's gonna show you allthings. I say, he's gonna leave
you. He is going to guideyou, show you all things. Now.
The Greek word again for joy ischarah the h a r a and
is derived from the word cherish, which is the Greek word for grace.

(22:33):
We talked about this. This isimportant to note for it tells us categorically
that charah is produced by the cherish, so that means joy is produced by
the grace of God. I'm grace, I'm grace to walk into this joy
that God has given unto me.You know, this joy that I have,

(22:55):
the world didn't give you. Rememberwe used to sing out on this
joy that I have the world, then give it to me. Oh,
this joy that I have, theworld didn't give it to me. All
this joy that I have, worlddidn't give it to me. I said,
the world didn't give it and theworld can't take it away. Oh,

(23:18):
I'm so glad I came up andknow that era where I'm telling you
what you just got all that goodstuff because they will letting you know that
it's the Holy Ghost that gave youthe joy. And hear what he is
saying is Holy Spirit is a helper. And had it not been for the
Holy Spirit, we would not beable to deal with the grueling, the
crushing, the unbearable, the intolerable, the impossible scenarios that we could survive.

(23:41):
Thank you for the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the helper.
He's that comfort and glory to Godthat helped with the stand by the counselor
the African. He's all of thosethings to us. And I think that
we need to tap into the sourcethat has always provided us with the ability
to win. Now, this meansjoy isn't a human face happiness that comes

(24:06):
and goes. Rather, true joyis defined it is a divine and origin
of fruit of the spirit that ismanifested. Particularly in rough time, someone
may feel happiness, merrimith again hilary, exuberant, excitement of high spirit.
But all these are fleeting emotions, ain't gonna last for a minute. But

(24:30):
on the other hand, joy isa spirit given expression that flourishes best when
times are strenuous, dauntings and tough. Again, joy is a holy spirit
given expression again that blurs best whentimes are strenuous. And I know right

(24:52):
now, if you think about rightabout now, you got some things that
you've gone through, when things aredawning, when things are tough, you
got some tough time that you're goingthrough. But at the same token,
we gotta go back and deal withthe reality. That's when the Holy sperience
is given unto us so that wecan flourish in those times hallylujash. And
again the example that we gave infirst Thesalonius, we talked about, you

(25:15):
know, the Thessalonians were under greatstress due to persecution, but yet in
the midst of it all, theycontinue to experience great joy. Boy at
the Thesalonius, if they were undergreat persecution and in the midst of it
all, they continue to experience greatjoy. I think that we should put

(25:37):
ourselves in this teaching tonight and saythat if the Thessalonians was there, then
when we go through great persecution andin the midst of all things, we
have the right to experience great joy. And I'm just gonna say we ever,
I'm gonna say, I'm gonna experienceit. I'm gonna go ahead and
put my two center there and sayI am not going to be overlooked in
this one. Here, I havethe holy goosest living things on the inside

(26:00):
of me, And when I gothrough tough times, when I go through
rough moments, if I go throughstrenuous, daunting, tough times, the
Holy Spirit lives big on the insideof me. That causes me to flourish
and win in every situation. PraiseGod. In fact, we said that
this implies that supernatural joy was dueto the Holy Spirit working inside of them.

(26:25):
Paul even called it the joy ofthe Holy ghosts. So if they
have the joy the Holy Ghost, then guess what we have the joy of
the Holy ghost. Now, thebest that the lost world has to offer
is a temporary happiness. But whenthe seed of God has been placed inside
your human spirit, that that designscene produces a joy that isn't based on

(26:52):
outward events or circumstances. I'll saythis one more time. When the seed
of God has been placed on theend side of it, we get this
when we are born again, thatdisigne seed, it produces a joy that
isn't based on an outward event orcircumstance. In fact, when times get
very challenging, the supernatural life ofGod rises up on the inside to defy

(27:18):
the devilish, to defy the devilishpressure. That supernatural joy, it will
sustain you in the hardest of time. So you think about it when you
have the baddest day, when youhave a moment in your life where everything
is going wrong, when you havea moment where you know you've been persecuted,
you've been talked about, you've beenchallenged on every hand. You've got

(27:41):
the power of the Holy Ghost thatproduces the seed of joy. All you
gotta do is call it up.All you gotta do is call it up.
There's a certain time you gotta callit up love, and there's a
certain time you gotta call up joy. But you gotta know when to call
on the right ones. I alwaysteach the principle in our church when I
tell our ministers when you're pray, you got to make sure you're hitting the

(28:03):
target. So right now you gotto make sure you are hit the right
target. You just can't be justgoing through and just saying, oh,
I need the love of God.Yeah, you need the love of Governor
you have a tough times and roughmoments, you need the joy of the
Lord. Because the joy of theLord is your strength. I've said one
more time, the joy of theLord is your strength. The supernatural joy

(28:27):
will sustain you in even the mostdifficult times of your life. Now,
joy is the second manifestation of thefruit of the Spirit. We said that
word shower is joy. It isused seventy times in the New Testament.
Is always to signify a feeling ofhappiness that is based on spirutual realities.

(28:52):
Joy is the deep down sense ofwell being that advids in the heart of
a person who know all is wellbetween himself and the Lord. Now,
see, that's the thing. Yougot to go back and have a little
faith there, because you got toknow that you know that the Lord's got
your back. And it's not anexperience that comes from favorable circumstance, or

(29:15):
even a human emotion that is designedlystimulated. Now over in Neobah that a
chaptain the ten vers talks about thejoy of the Lord being our strength.
So as you begin to read this, I want to go back and read
verse number eight. It says forall the people, well, when they

(29:36):
heard the word of the Lord, then he said, unto them, go
your way, eat the fat anddrink the sleek, and send portions onto
them. For whom nothing is preparedfor this day is wholly unto our Lord.
Neither be ye sorry, for thejoy of the Lord is your strengths.

(29:56):
So they read in a book inthe Law of God, just think
and gave the sins and caused themto understand the reading. And neil my
when which is in Urshata and theanswer to the priests described, And the
Levi said to the people said, unto the people, this day is holy
unto the Lord your God. Morenot nor we When he said that,

(30:18):
I mean man, they begin tobegin just to tap into this thing.
So me and Mina says that thejoy of the Lord is your strength in
verse ten. The implication is thatthere is a correlation between what he says
in verse ten, And what reallyhappened in verse eight and nine, I
read it one more time for allthe people. Well, when they heard
the words of the law, thenhe said, unto them, go your

(30:42):
way, eat the fat and drinkthe sweet, and send portions unto them
for whom nothing is prepared. Butthis day is holy unto our Lord.
Now that he's sorry again verse numberten. For the joy of the Lord
is your strength. What happened inverse eighty nine, answer any other preach?
Read the word of God to thepeople and explain to them what it

(31:04):
meant. Then the people wept forjoy because somebody finally made sense of the
word of God. And I knowsomebody say, you know, that may
be crazy, but you know, have you ever been in a situation where
you've been sitting in a situation andyou did not know exactly what it meant
and you heard it so much,so many times, but one day you
finally get it. And when youfinally get it and you get it and

(31:26):
you understand it, it just reallycaused you to weep and cry out because
you know, like, wow,I finally understand it. And I'm sure
many of you have read the Bibleat some point in your life, and
you did not understand all that itwas saying. Of course, it's easy
to understand the word of God afteryou're born again and safe. But even
say, there have been times whenyou read things that it just not it

(31:51):
just didn't clique for you. Nothingreally happens until sometimes you hear the word
preach, because you don't get theunderstanding sometime on your own. But when
these things happen. Here with theBook of the Law, it's read of
in verse eight, it was readaloud to the people, and the Bible
was read aloud, and somebody explainedits meeting. Somebody caused the hearers to

(32:13):
understand the reading and what it actuallyhappened. And when this happened, the
scripture says, all the people, well, all the people, well,
man, can you imagine. Canyou recall the first time you understood something
out of the Bible. Can yourecall the first time you heard a sermony
and understood exactly where they were talkingabout it. All of a sudden something
became, something happened on the insideof you because you understood it. Going

(32:37):
back to our scripture that we alwayssaid in all that getting what get understanding
Winston, it's the principal thing.Thereforeget wisdom, and with all that get
it, get an understanding, becausewhen you get to understand it, it
costs you. Excuse me, becauseyou to understand it. When you get
to understand something, you understand whatit means. And when you understand what

(33:00):
it means, it calls some formof joy. Excuse me to come up
on the inside of you. Andwhen you've understood in the Bible says that
all the people from when they heardthe word of Lord, joy became a
part of all of those people becausethe joy of the Lord became their strength.
Now, joy is a part ofGod's own nature and spirit that he

(33:22):
manifests in his children over in versePeter, the first Chapter, I think
of verse number eight. It says, whom have you not seen? You
love? And who, though nowyou see him not yet believing you joys
with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Joy is the inevitable overflow of receiving

(33:46):
Jesus Christ as favor and of thebelievers knowing his continuing presence. So that
means that I've received him, althoughI've not seen him. I love him,
I believe in him rejoicing because Iknow, as a believer there was
a continuing presence that was gonna staywith me for the rest of my life.

(34:08):
Joy not only does not come fromfavorable human circumstances, but it's sometimes
greatest windows. Circumstances are the mostpainful and severe. Shortly after it's the
rest and offensing. Jesus told thedisciples over in Saint John the sixteenth chapter
The Tweeny and Birds. He says, very verly outsaid to you that ye

(34:29):
shall weep in the mint, butthe world shall rejoice, and ye shall
be sorrowful, but your sorrow shallbe turned into joy. Holly, Lulas
is going back again to a roughmoment where sorrow is being turned into Jorge.
So anybody out there under by voiceis going through a disappointment, a

(34:50):
rough time, a tough moment. You've been very sorrowful death. As Jesus
foke to the disciples, I'm speakingto you tonight that your sorrow shall be
turned into yours. Your sorrow shallbe turned into your to illotrate the truth.
Jesus compared the Divine Judge to awoman in child Berth. You don't
have to want a woman in child. So boy, she goes through some

(35:12):
pain, pain, pain, pain, But when that baby comes, it's
almost like she don't even remember nothingthat she's gone through. She just looking
at that baby, said, whata beautiful baby that I have. Verse
twenty one says a woman when sheis in travailed, half sorrow because her
hour is coming up words she's aboutto deliver. But as soon as she
is delivered of the child, sheremembers no more of the anguish for joy

(35:36):
that a man is born into theworld. And you know what you gotta
think about that when you go throughand you have travailed, But the minute
that you are come to that placeand being delivered, you don't remember as
much of what you went through becauseof the joy of the Lord that kept
you while you were going through it. Now, Verse twenty two says,
and ye now therefore half sorrow,But he said what I was, see

(36:00):
you again, and your heart shallread joy, and your joy no man
take it from you. Oh mygoodness, God's jaw is food is complete
in every way, and nothing nohuman or anybody else can do that.
They can add to it or detractfrom it, but it is not fulfilling.

(36:22):
The belief of life except through thereliance on and obedience to the Lord.
That means you've gotta obey God.You've gotta be doing what he tells
you to do in order for thingsto manifest in the way that they're supposed
to ManaFest. One of John's motivationin this writing in his first episcle was
that joy might be made complete.First John the first chapter, before verse

(36:46):
it says, and these things right, ye on to the that your joy
may be fool Oh my goodness,Jesus himself again, it is our supreme
example. He was a man ofsorrow, and he will acquainted with much
greekful. We're gonna show you whenthe joint came upon Jesus, even as

(37:06):
he was going through tough time,it carried him all the way to the
place of victory. I'm gonna startin Isaiah the fifty third chapter, the
third verse. This is described inJesus. He says, he is it
was a shadow to come. Hesays, he is despised and rejected of
men. Can you imagine what itwas like to be despised and rejected of
men? He was a man ofsorrows, not sorrow, but sorrows and

(37:30):
acquainted with grief. Oh my goodness, that's just that's to the lowest point.
And we hid, as it were, as it were, our faces
from him. He was despised, and we esteem him. Nine. I
mean, this was a very toughmoment. But I want you to jump
over to Luke the eighteen chapter, the thirty first versus the thirty verse,
thirty third verse. He says, then then he took unto him the twelve

(37:52):
and said, unto them, behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and
all things that were written by theprophets concerning the son of Man shall be
accomplished. For he shall be deliveredthem to the Gentiles, and shall be
mocked and frightfully entreated and spit iton. He was talking about the crucifixion,
the future of that puc officions, and they shall scourage him and put

(38:15):
him to death, and the thirdday he shall rise again. Listen to
the faith that Jesus was walking in. He told them everything that was going
to happen. He knew. Imean, he just say, Hey,
this is what's gonna have. Theygonna deliver me to the Gentiles. I'm
gonna be mocked. I'm gonna bespitefully entreated. I'm gonna be sped on,
and they're gonna scourage me. Theygonna put me togeth, he said.

(38:37):
But guess what. On the thirdday, I'm gonna get up,
he said, I'm gonna rise againstand Jeff, as he had promised for
his disciples. His sorrow was turningin to Joe. Ooh, my goodness,
George, George, George, Georgejaw in the holy Ghost. Now
don't shop now for Jeff. Let'sturn over to he Brews the twelfth chapter,

(38:58):
because we really getting ready. ShotsHerews the twelfth chapter, starting with
the first verse, it says, wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about
with so great a cloud of witness, everybody watching from upstairs, and says,
let usutside every weight, and thesin would so easily be set us,
and let us run with patience therace that is set before us,

(39:21):
because it's only you gotta run yourrace. I gotta run my race.
And guess what, God knows exactlywhat we're supposed to be doing. But
he says the first number two says, looking unto Jesus, look at Jesus.
He's the author and the finisher ofour faith, who fuck up the
joy that was set before him.He endured the cross, despising the shame,

(39:43):
and is set down at the righthand of the throne of God.
Despite the misunderstanding, despite the rejection, in spite of the hatred and the
pain that he endured from men whilehe was among them, Jesus never lost
his joy in the relationship he hadwith the Father. Oh my goodness,

(40:04):
Now that's the glumps of the teachers. Never allow yourself to lose your joy
in your relationship that you have withFather God. And we got to go
back and examine those things and thatjoy he gives to each of us his
followers. That means that this joythat we have again, the world didn't
give it to you. The worlddidn't give it, and the world cannot

(40:27):
take it from you. God gaveit to you. And you got to
make sure that in the midst ofall the other stuff that your joy relationship
that you have with the Father,it will not go down. It will
not go down to decimal, butit will go up and knots because it's
the joy that He has given untoyou, and because you've been given that
joy, it is the gift ofGod through the spirit to those who belong

(40:51):
to him, and it is acommandment of them because he wants you to
go back. And when you're goingthrough tough time, there are some things
that you mutht do. You gotto learn how to rejoice. You gotta
learn how to make sure that yourjoy is full and your joy is complete.
Praise the name of the Lord.Philippius the fourth chapter, the fourth
verse, it says, rejoice inthe Lord always and again I say read,

(41:16):
rejoice Hollylulijah. It says, rejoiceand Philippius the third chapter, the
first versace. Finally, my brother, Finally, my brother, rejoice in
the Lord. To write the samething to you. To me, indeed,
is not vivious, but for youit is safe because joy comes from
a gift from God. The commandobviously is not for believers to manufacture it

(41:39):
or try to imitate it, becausethere's nothing you can do, because it
is soup fun that's your own.The command is to gratefully accept and revealing
the great blessings that we already possess. We possess the fruits of joy.
And because we possess the fruit ofjoy, we're supposed to be a rejoice

(42:00):
see in the Lord at all times. At all times, I want you
to know that. You know, even in famine, we should be rejoicing
in the Lord. Back to thethird chapter of the seventeen verse, it
says, although the fig trees shallnot blossom, neither shall fruit be in
the vines. The labor of theolive shall fail, and the field shall

(42:22):
yield. Know me, but that'spitiful. The flock shall be cut off
from the fold, and there shallbe no herd in the stars. Oh
my goodness. Verse eighteen says, yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
It is the decision people of Godto pull that thing up, to pull
not that thing up, to pullthe joy up. It says, yet

(42:43):
I will rejoice in the Lord.I will joy in the God of mynd
salvation. I will joy in theGod of mine salvation. In other words,
I am not going to misappropriate myrelationship with God because I will keep
my job with my relationship with myfather, because he gave it to me,

(43:07):
and because he gave it to me, I have a responsibility to make
sure that it is working. Lordof God, because I got faith in
Him, and I know that thejoy of the Lord is my strength.
Now there was a situation in persecution. Now over it acts the fifth chapter,
the fifty first the forty first verse, and they departed from the presence
of the council Rejeorge seeing that theywere kunted worded to suffer shame for his

(43:31):
name. And you know here againthe men of God was they were being
persecuted. They were hey, butthey were like, I'm joyful because right
now I'm suffering for the things ofChrist. I got George, Jeorge,
George George joy on the inside, and nobody can't do absolutely nothing to me.
If you look over and acts thesixteen chapter, the twenty third verse,

(43:54):
the apostle Paul Boy, I thinkthis is a very powerful one here.
I think I'm gonna end up properlyclosing on this when it because this
is something to think about. Iwant you to understand. Everybody to read
what everybody read this story. ButI wondered sometimes that they really understand that
it was the joy of the Lordthat came into that jail. Glory to
God. Can you imagine somebody lockedup and all of a sudden they locked

(44:17):
up in something that they did notdo, and they instead of being in
jail, pouting and having the mouthpushed out, they begin to open up
that mouth and praise God and rejoicein the Lord. Because as they rejoice
in the Lord, things begin toshift in turn around. But anyway,
asks the sixteenth chapter, glory toGod. I want to just throw it
right quickly. At first novel fourteen, and a certain woman named Lydeo Cellar

(44:39):
Purple of the city of Theatrica, which worshiped God, hurt Us, whose
heart the Lord opened. That sheattended unto things which were spoken Upaul,
And when she was baptized in herhousehold, she becaw us, saying,
if we have judged to be faithfulto the Lord, probably took our house
in a by there and she constrainedus. And it came to pass as

(45:01):
we went to prayer of certain dapthsof possessed with a spirit. I told
you every time the enemies gould alwayscome and try to get you off of
devination. Met with us, metus, which brought her master much gain.
By Suth said this is nothing butthe devil. The same follow Paul
and Us and Christ, saying thesemen are the service of the most High

(45:22):
God would show unto us the wayof salvation. And this did she many
days. But Paul, being greed, turned and said to the spirit,
I command be in the name ofJesus, that come out of her.
And he came out the same hourof glory to God. And when her
master saw that the hope of theirgames were gone, they caught Paul in

(45:45):
silence and threw them both in themarketplace into the rulers. And threw them
into the marketplace onto the rulers, and brought them to the magistrates, saying,
these men, being Jews, doit seemingly trouble our city and teach
customs. Wished no lawful for usto receive ninety two observed being Romans,

(46:07):
and the multitude rose up against them, and the magistrate wrint off their clothes.
Can you imagine that was humiliated andcommanded to beat them. Wow,
we talked about a grueling situation. This is happening right now. They took
their clothes off, they beat them, and when they had made stretch upon
them, they capped them into prisons, charging the jail to keep them safety,

(46:30):
who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison
and made their feet fast in thestocks. And at midnight, Faull in
silence prayed and same praises unto God. Oh, my goodness, I believe
that's a joy of the Lord thatcame up on them, and the prisons
heard them, and suddenly there wasglory to God. There was a great

(46:53):
earthquake, so that the foundations ofthe prisons were shaken, and immediately all
the doors were open, and everyone'sbands were loose. Now, I already
believed that when you allowed the joyof the Lord to come up on you
in turbulent moments, in tough timeslike these, I believe that by the
spirit an earthquake supernaturally begin to goforth on your behalf, so much so

(47:20):
that it will cause everything that gotyou bound to cause you to be free
and let go. I believe thatall the doors we opened, and that
everyone's bands who believed will be loose. Now. Look, and the keeper
of the prisons, awaking out oftheir sleep and seeing the doors were opened,
drew out his sword and would havekilled himself, supposing that the prisons
had been fed. But Paul criedout Lord to God with a loud voice,

(47:45):
saying, do not do thyself noharm, for we are all here.
Then he called for a light, and sprang in and came trembling,
and fell down before Paul in silence, and brought them out, and said,
serves, what must I do tobe saved? And they said,
believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy

(48:05):
house. And they spake unto himthe word of the Lord, and to
all that were in thuse. Andhe took them the same hour of the
night and washed their strikes and wasbaptized, he and all his straight way.
And when he had bought them intothe house, he sent meet before
them and rejoice. And he rejoiced. Believe it in God, with all
of his household. Praise is theLord. Let me tell you something.

(48:30):

It's not happiness, it's not temporary. This is e turnal and you
gotta understand that you gotta allow thejoy of the Lord to be your strength.

(49:37):
God. You gotta learn to rejoicein the midst of it all. You
gotta learn to rejoice in the midstof it all, because the joy of
the Lord is your strength. Well, my time is up, and we've
covered now love and joy and guesswhat We're gonna go to the next one
and probably gonna try to do twoof them, and we can. But

(49:58):
the reality is, I want tomake sure you're getting this because as I'm
studying this, I'm getting more revelationsmyself. But I'm like I want to
make sure that now my application isevery time when I'm in an unbearable ruling
scenario situation, I'm gonna make surenothing interferes with the relationship that I have
with my God and what He hasgiven me through the seed of the Holy

(50:22):
Ghost in that of the in thefruit of joy, by fruit of joy
is there. And that means thatI got a cultivated by rejoicing in the
Lord and trusting in God. Regardlessof what it looks like. As I
rejoice in the Lord, what amI saying is I'm releasing faith in God
and saying, Lord, I stillbelieve that all things are possible. Lord.
I know that I'm going to seethe salvation of You in this situation.

(50:45):
