Lucien's McDowell episode that stand Rid standRad Well, well, well, hello

(00:42):
everybody, and welcome to the LuciusMcDowell Given Right Podcast. Goodnight, it's
me. Nobody referencedn't need but eachbag. The last couple of weeks a
half, my daughter was sitting Ithought she did a fantastic some number the
jo Desinis mcdo. Wonderful minister ofthe gospel. Wonderful woman that God,
You're so grateful that she be steppingup to do those things that need to

(01:04):
be carried out at the time theyneed to be carried out. But I'm
back tonight, y'all. And I'mback tonight again to make sure that we
do understand that, you know,as we navigate this course called living right,
I mean, we want to makesure that we're doing it, going
to do the word of the Lord. So tonight we're gona jump into the
word of God as to pertain toliving right. I don't want to live

(01:25):
wrong, but I want to liveright, do right, because when I
live right and do it us right, I know that it will pay all
glory to God. We'll be talkingto you about the subject matter that is
aboutally important again and to write forrelationships with God and in order to have
a right relationship with God, tobe like they've got to have that fruit
that He's placed on the inside ofme. To now we're gonna be talking

(01:46):
about the subject matter walking in thespirit, cultivating the fruit of goodness.
We've been taking these fruits one bywanting let me tell you something. I
thought maybe I could just kind ofall loop them and you know, whoop
them all together. But the bottomline is, you know, you really
want to get understanding. You reallywant to be able to understand ex fact
of what it is that you're notdoing right so that you can make it

(02:07):
right. I don't know about you, but for me, living right is
it's important to me. I don'twant to just live life a pasul bad.
I want to be living life onpoint. I would always be giving
God the glory. I want tobe able to always present my body and
prolificent sacrifice I to God, toreasonable service, not just my reasonable service,

(02:27):
but just doing because I love itso much. And I don't want
nothing to temp from the relationships thatI have with Father. And I know
that if I develop my relationship withthe Father through reading the Word. But
living the word, to praying thisword, to talk to him every day,
just really checking in. I believethat it makes me better. And
what's so good about it that seedthat is in me as a result of

(02:52):
Him, you know, allowing hisson Jesus to come and live in my
life. And now that I havean opportunity to access all the God,
I never can't deal blessed to otherpeople. And I want you to understand
that, you know, I'm notgetting this all just for me. I
ain't just get tenth up on theword, get fit on the word just
for me. I am getting theword in me so I can be a

(03:14):
blessing to others. So tonight,as we begin our show, we's gonna
jump right into the Word of Godover in Sack of Timothy, third chapters
to sixteenth to seventeen verse. Iknow people say, y'all don't know about
a part. Now I'm might tobad be listening for the first time,
and they're listening for the first time. I want to be able to make
sure that they get this concept becauseone of the things that we need to
understand. We're not gonna get intothe point of our inscriptions. We're not

(03:36):
gonna get into this point of saying, you know who wrote this and who
wrote that, because the Word isthe final authority. The Word of God
is the final authority, and thereis nothing else, is no error.
It is the most affected manuscripted abook there is in today literature. So
over in sacatifically. The third chapter, the sixteenth verse, it says,

(03:59):
all scripture is given by inspiration ofGod and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof or correction, for instructions inrighteousness. Now we're talking about living right,
then we got to have some instructionsin righteous in Verse seventeen says that
the Man of God may be perfect, and that worried perfect. Really it's

(04:21):
translated mature, thoroughly furnished unto allgood works. It'd be something if it
says that the Man of God maybe all right, thoroughly, you know,
condition that he can do what hewants to do. You know.
With the scriptures, the scripture isvery specific. It says that the Man
of God may be perfect, thoroughlyfurnished unto all good works. I want

(04:46):
to be toured. I want tobe thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
I want not only what's in meto be a representative of God, but
I want to be able to bea blessing to others as they are walking
along this journey. You know,I found somebody thirty four years ago that
could help me be a better husband, a better for a man. I

(05:06):
would have loved to walk with them. But guess what, I found nobody
but the word of God. Andguess what, the word of God didn't
help me a great deal. ButI think it's a blessing when you find
people who are born again believers, who are mentoring, who are discipling others,
to say I made those mistakes.Don't want to see you make the
same mistakes. And I want tomake sure that as we walk this walk,

(05:27):
that you have the very best endyour life. That's the reason why
I believe that. You know,in order for us to be thirty furnished
up to all the words, weneed these type of podcasts. We need
to hear this. I don't knowwhere I mean, all over the place.
You may you may hear me allyou know, all over the US,
all over international orders. But thebottom line is this is a word
in seasons for you to understand thatthis is very important that you get scriptures

(05:53):
in you that you can represent yourFather God. You know, building relationships.
What is it like to have arelationship with something that just don't know
don't know them, But when youget to know a person, that means
you begin to study them out andbegin to understand exactly what their expectations.
And I think that's what it's allabout with building relationship with the Father God.

(06:13):
He says there on the Heavenly Prone, but he loves us. He
wants us to love him that justas well. And not only does he
wants us to love him, buthe wants us to come to know him
in a way that you know thatwe want to represent him in the earth
so that others can come along justas well. Our job is to make
sure that we are snatching folk outof the bid tale based on the fitness
and the love that our God hasmade available through us to his DearS.

(06:36):
On Jesus Christ. Well, letme say this to you. People are
perishing for the lack of knowledge, and you know that's the reason why it's
very important for us to get understandingProverbs the fourth chapters of seven verses.
His wisdom is the principal thing. Therefore, get wisdom, and with all

(06:57):
that I get in get understanding.Let me tell you something. You can
collect a lot of information, butif you don't get an understanding of what
is being disseminated to you, it'sno good for you. You don't want
to need just to a person justyou know, just collecting information. You
know, over in second Timothy,I think it's the seventh verse, it

(07:17):
says, you don't want to beever learning and never able to come to
the knowledge of the truth. Ifpeople got big bible, big dusty bibles
in their living room, big biblesthat you know, they just don't read.
And let me tell you something, and reading if knowledge and knowledge is
powerful, especially when you get anunderstanding. And the reason why we need

(07:38):
to understanding is because we're living ina day and hour. Well you know,
folks, just you know, we'reliving in the last days. And
the scripture says over in sacton Timothythat he says in the third chapter it
says this no off, so thatin the last days, garrulous time shall
come. I just want to goback and remind you of what it says,
just for men shall be lovers oftheir own so, but just both

(08:01):
just proud blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affections,
truth breakers, false accused us,and comes to the fears, despires
us of those that are good traders, teddy high minds, lovers of pleasure
more than lovers of God, havinga form of godliness, but denying the

(08:26):
power thereof from such turn away fromhe says, goes on in verse number
seven and says, ever learning andnever able to come to the knowledge of
the youth, don't want to bethat way. Don't want to be that
way. Don't want to be thatWe don't want you to be that way,
because we want to make the difference. While we are in the earth.

(08:46):
God want us to live right, and he want us to get instructions
to live it in. Guess whatwe're gonna do. That's what we're here
for. That's what de Lucius mcguilliLive in Right podcasts all about it,
all of thy gaity and get itunderstand and then living right and leting right,
telling you this thing is very veryserious, and we want to make

(09:07):
sure that we are doing what we'resupposed to do. So we're gonna jump
into the word of God. Tonight, we're going to get on in here
to make sure that we get understanding, because we got to dissect these bruces,
and we've got to begin to makesure that, you know, everybody
is understanding what's expected from you.So delatious. The fifth chapter started with
verse number sixteen and says this,I say that this is Apostle Paul.

(09:28):
He's addressing the church because he wantedto make sure that they understand that,
you know, this is an opportunityfor them to obey the spirit and not
allow the dictations of the flesh tolead them into things that are not doing.
I mean, you know that ifyou don't corral, if you don't
fructify, you don't mortify the membersof your flesh, your flesh want to
have you doing some things that youknow that you hain't got no business doing.

(09:48):
So in order to us, inorder for us to really accrucify man
and really, you know, killthe flesh, we got to make the
word alive on the handside of us. So here he says in the scripture,
he says this, I say, then walk in the spirit, and
ye shall not fulfill the lust ofthe flesh. It's just that simple walk

(10:11):
in the spirit, and you willnot fulfill the lust of the place,
but really makes what makes it heartfor a lot of people. This more
people putting more a lot of people, I'm sorry, putting more emphasis on
the LUs factor versus then I'm goingto zero in my attention in on obeying
God. See what I hear, the Spirit of the Lord getting the director
to tell me what to do.He's instructing for me to do it so

(10:33):
that I won't make mistakes. Now, I'm not gonna be perfect forever,
you know, because I want toreach that state of perfection that we know
for my guidance, I be withhim. But while I am in this
earth, as long as I listento Him, I will be able to
allow myself to avoid a lot ofunnecessaries. Love. The Scripture says that
the steps of the righteous man areart of the Lord. That means that

(10:56):
my steps have been ordained by God. God knows which way he wants me
to go. And guess what,if he knows where he wants me to
go, the Holy Spirit knows wherehe wants me to go. So that
means also that that's absolutely no goodthing that even with all from those that
walk are right before him. Sothat means that if I check in with

(11:16):
him, if I deal proper relationshipwith him, if I do the necessary
glory to God, I believe thatGod would open the door and he would
allow me to walk into some greatness. I believe that your steps are ordered
tonight today so that you can walkinto some greatness. But you gotta understand,
don't spend all that time trying tofight your flash. Spend time listening

(11:39):
to the Holy Spirit. Because HolySpirit lives big on the inside of each
and every one of us. Andbecause of the finished work of Jesus on
the Cross, we now have theGreater One that will be with us forever
and ever until we go on tobe with the Lord. And then we
go to people's world. We're gonnaown be up there to get somebody there
to shout holly loud. Yet,so it says this, I say,

(12:01):
you didn't walk in the spirit, and you shall. You shall not fulfill
the lust of the flesh, Forthe flesh lusts against the spirit, and
the spirit against the flesh, andthese are contrary the one to the other,
so that you cannot do the thingthat you would verse eighteen seven.
But if you be led of thespirit, you're not under the law.

(12:26):
If you be led of the spirit, you're not under the law. So
that means that you know, ifI'm led of the spirit, I'm no
longer under the law. Now hegoes on the says, the work of
the flesh are manifests, which arethese adultrey, fornication, uncleansedness, licivious
business, ideolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance in relations, rap, strives,

(12:48):
sedition, and heresies Verse twenty one. It goes on and says,
envy and murders, drunkenness, reverentand such like, all the which I
tell you. Therefore, I havealso told you in times past that they
would do these things. Shall mindinherit the Kingdom of God. But that's
a lot of stuff to be done. And I'm looking at I'm looking at

(13:09):
nine fruit of the spirit. Butthen I'm looking at one, two,
three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen,
almost eighteen. Things that you gottadeal with with the with the flesh.
But he's saying, don't even youknow you you go on it and you
allow yourself to walk in the spirit, so you don't fulfill the lost on
the flesh. But he says, this is how you do. He said,

(13:31):
but the fruit of the spirit islove. He's already talked about love.
Then it goes under talked about, you know, the love of guns,
the share that I brought by thepower of the Holy Ghost. Then
it talked about, you know, joy, and we said that the joy
of the Lord is our strength.Peace. Got to give your peace that
surpasses all understanding, long suffering, glory to God. That's being able to

(13:54):
stuffer long. And gentleness is kindis my daughter covered those two last time.
In tonight we're dealing with goodness, and I know that I'm gonna try
to get to these other ones. But it says goodness, faith meet this
temperence. Against such there is nomore, and they there are Christ have
crucified the flesh with the with theaffections and love. So verse twenty five

(14:18):
said, if we live in thespirit, let us also walk in the
spirit. So you know, that'sa big question. So if you live
in the spirit, it's not aquestion, is it's kind of a statement.
It says, let us walk inthe spirit. You know, you
know, put up or shut up. You know, do what you say
you're gonna do. You know,if you decide that you're gonna live for

(14:39):
the Lord, live or the Lord, and I mean, let's do a
good job doing that. I wantyou to understand some God ones each of
his children to produce fruit. Everyone of us should have a very good
fruit tree. You should give aneat off of my fruit, and it
should be some good, good fruitwhite because I've been cultivated and I've been
making sure it's being nurtured, it'sbeing warded, it's being you know,

(15:03):
all of the good stuff is beingplaced on it. So through my prayer
life, through my word time, there should be something good that you get
from Luciush mcdowells. Now, thefood of the spirit is so much better
than the flesh. Like I said, you know, there's none fruit,
but they look at all of thoseareas of the flesh. That means you
got a lot of things that yougot to contind with because the flesh produces

(15:26):
works, and I'm telling you itain't no good works. It's a terrible
thing. And if you're not careful, you'll end up following after something that
is not good for you. Youknow Proverbs the Ten Chapters twenty first verse,
it says, the loops of therighteous speed minute, but foods die
for want of wisdom. And I'mtelling you tonight this is an opportunity to

(15:48):
listen under the tone of my voice, because what I want to do is
I want to help you to understandthat there are ways, there are things
that you need to do so thatyou're able to actually win in every area
of your life. Hearing a Galatiansfive and sixteen, all the way through
verse twenty five, Paul is gettingHe's telling us of something that is nothing

(16:11):
but absolute truth. He is saying, if you walk in the spirit,
you will not fulfill the lost ofthe flesh. Now, the word walk
means to eventually walk around in onegeneral vicinity. It is your sphere of
life or your sphere of influence.Your whole life is lived there, and
if you do, you will notfulfill the loves of the face. So

(16:34):
that means that where I go,where I be, I've got to represent.
I got to make sure that youknow that the flesh is not producing
to give the enemy any accolades. But I want to be able to represent
my father my God, because hewants me to represent everything there is about

(16:56):
him that is good, and thesame with you, just as will is
very important. The word fruit isvery important, and there is not a
fruit without a seed. Fruit isa result of seed. Now, I
think we said over in Genesis thatevery fruit, every seed produces after its
own come. And in First John, the third chapter, the ninth verse,

(17:21):
it says whosoever is born of Goddoes not commit sin for his seed
remaining in him, and he cannotsin because he is born of God.
I am born of God. Youare born of God. And as the
scripture says, fifth seed remaining inus, and he cannot sin because he

(17:44):
is born in God without supposed Andwe've got to take a third over our
flesh to make sure that we don'tget in places that are not good.
But our job is to make surethat you know we are annowing the seed
of a holy goes to produce afterits own time and after it after its
tone. That should be so muchto go over there, God, so

(18:07):
much great things in us in termsof you know all that there is that
only fear is supposed to produce, that should be loved, that should be
joy, that should be peace, there should be long suffering. There should
be tenderness that should be good, that that should be fake. There should
be meeting that should be temper usall of these things because this is nothing
but a deposit of the holy ghostseed that is placed on the inside of

(18:32):
us. First feed there the firstpick of the first chapter the twenty third
vers is being born again, notof corruptible seed, but incorruptible by the
Word of God, which lived andabided forever. The way I got the
incorruptible seed of the Word of God, which lived and abided forever on the

(18:53):
inside of me. See, God'sdivine seed came into our spirit. We
receive the spiritual the posits the minutethat we made Jesus Christ, Lord and
Savior of our life. In thatseed that was planted in us was the
life of God. In other words, the Dna of God and the power
of God just waiting to produce inour lives, just waiting to be produced

(19:18):
in our lives. If we yieldto it, we will begin to produce
supernatural fruits in our life. Now. If we don't yield to it,
we were always end up having moreof the flesh issue. And what God
is saying, is that you knownow that I've placed the spirit in you,
the spirit itself is going to produceafter its own time. If I

(19:42):
plant a seed of orange oranges inthe ground, then I'm going to reap
oranges as they develop outside. IfI plant seeds of apples in the soil
and water it and nurtured, thoseseeds were produced an apple tree for will
and apple seed produced an orange tree. Apple seeds produced after its own time.

(20:07):
And because they produced after its owntime, this is the very thing
that God is saying, I havedeposited myself inside of you, and you
should be what producing after me.I should feel like him. I should
walk like him, I should talklike him. I shouldn't live like him.
Everything about me should be all thatrepresent God the Father. Now to

(20:30):
see the God himself has been planninginside of every one again, believer,
and the moment you met Jesus,Lord and Savior of your life, the
Holy Spirit and the Word of Godcomes on the inside of you and production
takes place. I'm talking about productiontakes place, and I'm telling him it
took me to believer and not seehim the fruit of love. To see

(20:53):
a believer not see the fruit ofjoy and peace, long suff in,
gentleness, goodness, and faith intemperance. That becomes very questionable because there
should be evidence. There should beedge of the remember Hebrews eleven and one,
faith and things so for the evidenceof things not seen. But guess
what if you stay in faith andyou believe in God, God will manifest

(21:14):
those things that you're believing for.But in this particular case, the Holy
ghost has been placed only inside ofyou, and the Holy Spirit has so
what it has a very character ofour God, the Father. And guess
what. If that scene has beenplaced on the inside of you, that
should be a reproduction of that scenecoming up out of you. There is
no issues that a believer should nothave love. There's no excuse that the

(21:36):
belief should not have joy and peace, long for forgifulness, goodness, faith
meets in temperance because these are thethings there holy doves have already placed on
the inside of you. So tonightwe're going to jump into the area called
goodness. And if with goodness,I want to make sure that we are
literally laying this thing out so thatyou can really get a great ununderstanding of

(21:56):
what this is all about it inglaces. She's a fifth chapter of the
twenty seconds through the two verse.Paulice the fruit of the spirit, and
he says fruit here means it's abeneficial results. It's a good thing that
comes from the spirits. In dwelling, we just talk about our Holy Spirit.
Now there's on the inside, there'sbeen a deposit. Our DNA is
just like God and the Holy spiritsbecause they of the Trinity. Amen As

(22:18):
the Holy Spirit works in our lives. Our character changes what we want said
bitterness, what we want said selfishnessand cruelty and rebellions. In spite,
we are now possessors of love, the joy, the peace, the patience,
the kindness, the goodness, faithfulness, the gentleness, and self control,

(22:40):
all of the fruit of the spirit. Everything in the list reflects the
character of our God. And thegoodness is and goodness is one that relates
directly to the morality. Now tellyou know, you know, if you
begin instead of the thing out andyou begin to exempt any things one and
it really helped you know understand thatyou know, we gotta be here's gonna

(23:03):
do th things I gotta do.You gotta be, I gotta do more
better than what I've done. ButI gotta be better. I know that's
not the best English going out,but it's doing better, you know,
I want to do. I wantto be better than what I was yesterday.
I want to be better than whatI was a couple of days before
the last year. I want tosee some progression. I want to see

(23:25):
myself making some progress, and Ibelieve that as I make that progress,
I believe that God will be sohappy. So let's jump on this goodness.
Goodness is virtue and holdingess inaction. It's virtue and his power and this
holiness inaction, its results in uhlife characterized by deeds motivated by righteousness and

(23:48):
a desire to be a blessing.It desires to be a blessing. It's
a moral characteristic of a spirit feelingperson. Every born again person should be.
The people are mad. I thinkif every born again believer on the
planet operated, you know, cultivatedthe fruit of goodness, what a wonderful
world this will be. Or everybody'snot born again and say they probably want

(24:11):
to get born again and get savedbased on all of the goodness that will
be flowing throughout the land. TheGreek word translated goodness is agatho say.
It is defined as uprightness of heartand light as though so I got thoson
is goodness for the benefit of others, not goodness simply for the sake of

(24:33):
being virtuals, but the benefit ofothers. Your goodness for the benefit of
other Someone with goodness will suff lessleyact on behalf of others. Confronting someone
about uh, you know, thearea of sin demonstrates again goodness because you
know whom God love the chases andI think that you know sometime you know,

(24:56):
it takes a uh it may notfeel good, but it might be
to the very best of that individualthat you're trying to help. So showle
also giving to the poor, andI think that that's a really good thing
that a lot of people, youknow feel like, you know, we
want to make sure that we canprovide things of the people who don't have
need, or who don't have themeans of getting things provided for one's children,

(25:18):
or visiting the sick voluntary to cleanup you know, a neighborhood,
not only just the neighborhood evidence, but a terrible storm brainford your enemies and
making sure that you know all ofthose things are being on the on the
front, on the on the onthe on the front. Course of of
your to do list, its expressionof goodness are as varied as the spirit

(25:40):
is created. Goodness is not aquality we can manufacture on our own.
Because James the first chapter the seventeenversus, every good thing given and every
perfect gift is from above, comingdown from the Father of life. So
this certainly includes a life characterized bygoodness. And letting all these spirit controls

(26:03):
us. We are blessed with thefruit of goodness. As others see our
good works, they were praised theFather in heaven because it's in motion.
And I wonder sometimes just how manytimes are we doing those things? How
many times that we're making sure thatwe are being our blessed to other people
so that they are able to seethe goodness of the Lord flowing out of

(26:26):
us. Now, the word goodnessis again the big word agnosidy, and
it comes from the word agathas, which means good. But when agathas become
the word agnosine, it means goodnessin the sense of being good to someone.
This word was used to portray aperson who is generous, a person

(26:48):
who is big hearted, a personwho is liberal and charitable with his or
her finances. We would call thisperson a big guilt. Let me tell
you there's nothing like a big biggiver. Now, and reading Acts the
tenth chapter started with verse number thirtyeight, we find that this food of

(27:11):
the spirit operated mightily in Jesus. So I'm gonna jump right over into the
word of God into Acts the tenthchapter, verse thirty eight, because it's
something that I want you to seethis, because this is something that I
hurt priests a great deal. Butin studying out we see a little from
things that we could begin to actuallytap into. I want to star up

(27:33):
with verse number I'm gonna stell withverse number thirty eight. It says,
how God annoying Jesus of Nasra withpower. I'm sorry, how God annoyed
Jesus of Natures with the holy ghostand with power, who went about doing
good and healing all that were oppressedof the devil, for God was with

(27:55):
him. I want you to noticesomething it says here. It says how
God knows of Jesus nathing with onlygoos and with power, who went about
doing good and healing all that wereoppressed. So the devil, for God
was with the notice that God waswith him, But why was he with
him? He was there and toaskal you to do good, to heal
those that were seek to heal,to set free to those that were oppressed

(28:18):
by the devil. And not onlythat God was with him. If I
want to draw your attention to theword or the phrase doing good, because
it is so crucial to what we'retalking about tonight. The words doing good
are from the words your gettio, which is an old word that denoted a

(28:38):
benefactor or a philatropist, or onewho financially supported charitable words. This word
would only be used to describe aperson who possessed great financial substance and who
used it to assist those who wereless fortunate. Implication of the word is

(29:00):
that Jesus possessed a great amount offinancial resources in his ministry. I'll say
it again. The implication of thisword is that Jesus possessed a great amount
of financial resources in his ministry inaddition to the offerings that were received for
his ministry. You know, overin Luke the eighth chapter, the third

(29:21):
verse, it tells us that agroup of very wealthy women also financially supported
his ministry. Boy, this isamazing, because when you start looking at
the thing, you start getting mein heaven. I want to run over
there right quickly and just pull thisscripture out so y'all can hear this.
Because these are some things that Jesushad sown, some great things, and

(29:41):
as a result of his sowing,he ended up getting a great Harvard.
Look at verse number eight, Imean chapter eight in Saint Luke. Verse
number one is just and it cameto past. That's what that. He
went through every city and village, freaching and showing the glad tidings of the
Kingdom of God. And the twelvewere with him, and certain women which

(30:04):
have been healed of evil spirits andinfirmities Mary called Magdalene, out of whom
went seven devils Glority God, andJohanna the wife of Chuza, Herod Stewart,
and Susannah, and many others whichministered unto him of their sources.

(30:25):
So they were wealthy women. Beguess what. They also supported his ministries.
And by the way, in aLucius McDowell ministries, if anybody want
to be able to sew into administries, or that we can carry the gospel
of all across to us. It'sthe international ward of a feel free to
do so. And not only thatglory to God. But even when you
start talking about churches, it's alwayspartnerships and all these things they go win

(30:48):
really helping advance the Kingdom of God. In the ears, I just had
to throw that with it death. But anyway, although we can infer from
Judas words in Saint Johna's twelfth chapterthe Fifth Birthday, jesus ministry had a
significant philanthropic outreach to the poor andthe needy, over which Judas had been
placed in charge. So this tellsme that Jesus didn't only perform supernatural works.

(31:14):
He also used his resources to dogood works in the natural rent see
Jesus Can for the poor. Hehelped feed the needy, and he utilized
the vast resources of money made availableto his ministry to meet the basic needs
of human beings. Thus, healso set an example for us to be

(31:37):
concerned for and involved in meeting theneeds of meeting of the basic needs as
we are able to do so.This tells us that acting in goodness is
a character preacher feature of the natureof God. Luke mentioned this aspect of
Jesus nature in Accident, chapter thirtyeight, verse a, right along with

(31:59):
his supernatural healing power. Sounding thesickner that God is just an interest in
helping the poor and needing with financialassistance, as he is in supernatural healing
their bodies. I said that again, you always hear, you know,
you always hear of how he healedthe bodies, you know, and all
those other things. But really justdoing the good, the supernatural good,

(32:22):
the good things were he was ableto help meet the needs of those people,
of the people that that need ofhis services. The truth is helping
to meet the physical needs of otherexplored gods. It's an act of goodness
that Jesus did and still longs todo through his people. Now. He

(32:42):
did it when he was in theearth, and now he needs a conduit
to work through. Are you available? Are you available to be used by
God to be a blessing in anyway that you can be. I remember
one years ago when I worked ingovernment down in Atlanta, Georgia, and
with doing a lot of soul andthen there will be a lot of opportunities
that I could give to those peoplethat were in needed because there was a

(33:06):
lot of homeless people that were onthe street. And of course I always
had the word of God. Andlet me tell you something, when you're
hungry, you don't want the word. You really want, you know,
you want a place to stay,or you want to have some money so
you can go and get your carso you have some safety while you're there
on the street. So that meansthat there are times where you do have
to give, and then there aresome times where you know you have to
follow the leader of all these streetbecause there are some people that want money

(33:30):
to actually use it for drugs oruse it for drinking and all that stuff.
And I'll let them know I can'tgive you money for that, but
I can't give you some money tohelp you to be stabilized. So it
was an opportunity for me to learneven then, when was it good time
to give? And when was itor not good time to give? Because
you always want to make sure thatyou're giving and sowing on good grounds.

(33:52):
But anyway, I begin to,you know, practice that principle so that
when I begin to see sits inmy spirit that there's something I'm supposed to
do then I am going to bereleased to do it. So when if
Ible tells us that one of thefruits of the spirit is goodness, God
is letting us know that he wantsus to be self less, using our
resources to help change people's living conditionsfor the better. This is absolutely contrary

(34:17):
to the flesh, which would consumeeverything that you have on yourself. But
when the spirit is working mighty inus, he shifts our focus from ourselves
to the needs of those who arearound us. So that means that you
know, there's a shifting that takeplace, and what that shifting that takes
place is no longer about what Igot from myself, and it's what can

(34:39):
I do for my brother or mysister. Now. The Pruce's spirit called
goodness is a supernatural urge and aperson to reach beyond himself to meet the
natural needs of those around him. When a believer is walking in the spirit,
his eyes are supernaturally open to seethe needs of humanity and his heart,

(35:00):
the heart is moved to meet thoseneeds. I'm gonna say it again,
when a believer is walking in thespirit, his eyes, your eyes
are supernaturally open to see the newthe needs of you manage. Don't nobody
have to tell you, because HolySpirit will along you and your heart will
be moved to meet those that arein need. Is why there is no

(35:20):
greater benefactor of philanthropics, of financialphiststhan a person who is filled with the
spirit and who is producing the fruitof the Spirit in his or her life.
I'm telling you this is so criticalbecause at all times you don't know
what God's gonna do. You don'tever know, you know when people are
in need. You've gotta be alwayssensitive to make sure that you are doing

(35:45):
the very very thing that the HolySpirit is leading you to do. I'm
gonna say it again. The scripturesays this, I say, walk into
spirit, and you will not fulfillthe lust of the flesh. And he
goes on and he says, butthe flesh lust is against the spirit,
and the spirit against the flash, and these are contravery to one another,
so that you cannot do the thingsthat you would do. But then he

(36:06):
goes on and says, but ifyou be led of the spirit, you
are not under the lawn. Nowagain, I'm gonna say this again,
Lord to God, we're a supernaturalwith a person. So when a believer
is walking in the spirits. Hiseyes are supernaturally open to see the needs

(36:27):
of those that are in need, and his heart is moved to meet those
needs. That's why it's so criticallyimportant. That you may not have a
ton of money, But let metell you something. You might have money
that you'll be able to get somebodyof blessings. You may not have a
bunch of things in your closet.Let me tell you something, there are
a lot of things that you're notwearing that you can be a blessing to

(36:49):
those who are in need. Let'shelp him manage it become better. Let's
have humanity to live to get totheir next level. You'll be surprised with
the stepping stones that God would usewith people like yourself and myself to help
people come into a higher place ofliving. I really believe that the stricture
is really real. I believe thatit's working strongly in this day and hour

(37:10):
that you know, we got toshow for us. We got to show
forth the light of the Lord thatlives big that in our heart it's got
to shine so that the world cansee it. And not only that,
we got to be able to alwayssay you know, we don't want people
living in darkness, and they don'thave to be in darkness, but we
can give We can give unto thema better way by allowing the Holy Spirit

(37:32):
to lead us and guide us sothat you know that we can open it.
It can open up a door thatone can be born again and saved.
That's a big peace there, y'all. It's a really really big piece
here. So as we begin tocontinue this thing, let me tell you
tell you. Goodness has to dowith moral and spiritual excellence that is known
by its sweetness and active kindness. The Apostle Paul he helped define this virtue,

(38:00):
and he observed that one well thatone will hardly die for a righteous
man, though perhaps for the goodman, someone would die even they even
dare to even die. A Christiancan be moredy upright, but still not
manifest the grace of goodness. Idon't want to be that way. I
want to manifest that grace of goodness. He may be admitted and respective for

(38:23):
his high moral FeNiS, and mighteven have a friend, have friends who
have risked of his life for him. But the upright person who also has
goodness is much more than likely tohave self sacrificing friends, because you're gonna
have people around you that you're gonnaalways say, see, doing those things
give you a good example. Oneexample is there is a Bible example in

(38:47):
Matthew the first chapters nineteen verse.Remember Joseph. Joseph was such a righteous
and a good man when he learnedthat Mary was pregnant, but did not
yet know it was by the HolySpirit. Being that he was a righteous
man, he could not bring himselfto marry her, assuming she had been
unfaithful. But being also a goodman, he could not bear the thought

(39:12):
of disgracing his beloved Mary, Andtherefore he desired to put her away secretly,
so that you know that there wouldnot be any words on it.
I mean, this was a goodthing to be done at that particular time.
Remember David. David had a deepunderstanding of God's goodness. He repeatedly
reveals in his song Surely and goodness, Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow

(39:37):
me all the days of my life. Now, guess what. And he's
not going to drug in the houseof the Lord forever. And he rejoiced
in that. But guess what goodnesswants always following him even over in relations
of six chapter. I read thisagain because I think this is another good

(39:58):
moment of UH learning about the fruitof goodness. Is Scripty teaches us that
we get there right quickly. Teachesus to let us not be weary in
well doing, for in due seasonwe will we will, we will read
the farcause if we think not.But then it goes on insane. On

(40:20):
a second, I'm saying, quotingand turning at the same time, I'm
quoting in turning at the same time. Stay with me, Stay with me,
Stay with me, stay with Praisethe Lord. There we do.
Just want to make you're done quoting, And I am said that right,
praise the Lord. If my timeis running out, and I want to
make sure I get this and teabecause this is something that you eat.
Here goes go and he says inthe night verb it says, and let

(40:44):
us talk be worrying, will doing, for in due season we shall reap
if we what if we now aswe have uh, therefore opportunity as we
have therefore opportunity, let us dogood. Unto some men, know it
says unto all men, especially untothem who are of the household of faith.

(41:09):
So it's telling us to do goodto all men, especially those that
are of the household of faith, those that are the what now, the
household of faith? So that meansthat we are to do good as a
believerab Why because doing good goodness isa fruits that we are to cultivate,

(41:32):
and that fruit should be producing afterits own kind. Can I say it
this way? It's a fruit thatwe have to cultivate because it's been producing
after its own kind. Now,if God it produces good unto us,
then we should be able to dogood unto all men, just as will
look at these scriptures right before weclose out tonight. The goodness of God

(41:53):
over in Psalth twenty five stents ofner Vegas says, good and up right
is the Lord when he teaches inus in the way Psalm number thirty three
and stenth of number five he lovethrighteousness and judgment. The earth is full
of the goodness of the Lord.I love Songs number thirty four and stands

(42:15):
that It says old tastes and seethat the Lord is good. That's it.
It's the man that trusted in him. Glory to God or now of
the first chapter, the seventh verse, he says, the Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble, and he knowing them that trust
is in him. Mat Through thenineteen chapter, the seventeen verse he says,

(42:37):
and he said, up to them, why hollers all me good?
There is none good but one thatis God. But if thou will enter
into life keep the commandments. Letme tell you something. God is good
all the time, and all thetimes our God is good. It is
our responsibility to make sure that wewere not just reaping the benefits of the

(43:02):
good God. But we're supposed todo good according to the scriptures. I'm
gonna read it one more time inthe laces, because it lets me as
I begin to look at it.It says as it says, and let
us not be worried and well doingor induce eason we shall read if we
faith now, And it says,as we have therefore opportunity, wow,

(43:22):
as we have there for opportunity. There's an opportunity all the time for you
to be able to do good.It says, let us do good unto
all a l l all men. Then it goes on and say, coming
especially unto them who are of thehouse of faith. Now come on,

(43:44):
people of God, learn how towork this word. So this word can
work for you. Some number thirtyfour, verse number fourteen. It says,
depart from evil and do good, and seek peace and pursue it.
Some number thirty seven, that's thenumber three trucks in the Lord. And
do good, so that I shoulddwell in the land, and verily thou

(44:07):
shall be fed, I like Luke. The sixth chapter, the thirty fifth
verse, it says, but loveye your enemies and do good. Oh
wow, even to your enemies.Notice it says, all men, you
just say something. It says, all men. It says, but you
love your enemies and do good, and lend hoping for nothing again, and
your reward shall be great. Yourreward shall be great, and you shall

(44:29):
be the children of the Highest. For He is kind unto the unfankful,
and even unto the evil. BethGutnam out of my goodness, Holly Eliott,
Hebrews thirteen and sixteen. It says, but to do good and to
communicate, forget not, for withsuch such sacrifices God is well please,

(44:49):
And my last one is gonna beJames the fourth chapters and seventeen verses.
And therefore to him that know itto do good and do it then not
to him the kids us sin.So that means that we've got a responsibility,
and that responsibility is to do goodat all times. Listen, my
