chune mattering title Walking in the Spirit, Cultivating the Food of the Spirit time,
and that we're gonna deal with thelast three and that it is faith,
that is meekness, and that istemperate. And I really believe that

we'll get it taken care of,so that we would have completed an entire
series of teaching on walking in theSpirit and cultivating the Food of the Walking
in the Spirit, cultivating the Fruitof the Spirit. Praise the name of
the Lord. As we examine allof these nine fruit, we recognize that
you know, they're all vitally importantin our life, and as a result
of it, we got to makesure that we get where we need to

be so that there could be evidenceof anyone of your treat and then we'll
be blessed by so anybody eating anythingfrom my tree, I wanted to always
enjoy love, joy, peace,long suffering, gentleness, goodness and faith,
meekness and temperance. Let me tellyou something, when they taste those
things from my tree, I wantedto say, Mmmm, that's good stuff.

Good stuff. He's been walking withGod, he's been nurturing, he's
been cultivating, he's been doing thethings that needs to be done. And
I'll challenge you tonight to do thevery same thing, because it's vitally important
that it's this day and hour thatwe do see people whose lights are shining.
Jesus is delight. We are thelight. Come on out, Jesus,
the light of the world. We'resupposed to be shining, so that

others can see the light on theinside of us. So over sac Ativioty
the third chapter, the sixteenth throughthe seventeenth verse, the Scripture says,
all scripture is given by inspiration ofGod, and it's profitable for doctrine,
for reproof or correction, for instructionsin righteousness, that the man or woman,
that the Man of God may beperfect thoroughly furnished unto all good work.

I say this every time I havea broadcast. We want to be
definitely, we want to be matured, we want to be perfected, we
want to be thoroughly furnished unto allgood works. And I'll tell you everybody
is not walking that way, becausea lot of people are walking away from
the word of God. Anytime youwalk away from what the word of the
Lord is saying, which is saying, I'm walking in rebellion, I'm walking
against it. And God didn't wantyou to walk against it. He wants

you to walk together with him.And with three and three says, can
two walk together except they be agreed. Where there is unity, there is
strength, there is power. Wherethere's unity, that's with the ability for
God to actually do the great thingsthat he wants to do in the earth.
So over in proper it's the fourthchapter, starting with the seventh verse.

I'll go there right quickly. Itsays, wisdom is the principal thing.
Therefore, get with him and withall thy getting, and get understanding.
That means that we have a responsibilityto get understanding concerning free element of
the instructions of our God. Theword God has been put into a place

that we'll be able to always goback in and make sure that we can
nurture, nurture our relationships, growingGod, growing grace, growing His words,
so that our minds can be reneweddaily and we're able to actually win
in our everyday lifestyle. So againtonight we're talking about walking in the spirit,

cultivating the fruit of the Spirit.We've been dealing with a bunch of
the fruits of the we've been dealingwithout all nine, but we've been dealing
with almost six of them. Andto not be going to try to kind
of a crash course because we knowthat next week is going to be Christmas
Day and on the next week isgoing to be New Year's Day, So
we're going to try to get itall out of the place, so when

verse nineteen it lists all the worksof the flesh, which I'm not focusing

on verse twenty two it says,but the fruit of the spirit is love,

joy, He's long suffering to thisgoodness, faith, meetness, temperance
against us, there is no law. And they that are christ have crucified
the flesh with the affections and thelove that means with the nerves that go
with all of those things that tryto agitate your spirit, your flesh to

get you to a place to walkagainst the will of the Father. Verse
twenty five says its so perfectly says, if you live in the spirit,
let us also walk in the spirit. Why because God wants each of his
children to produce fruit. The foodof the spirit is so much better than

the flesh. I like this becauseyou know the Word of the Lord teaches
us that the list of the righteouswill feed, meaning, so tonight I
want to be able to feed you, feed you, feed you the word
of God, so that you'll beable to grab hold of everything that we're
talking about. The word fruit isvery important there are There is not fruit
without a seed, and fruit isa result of a sea. And we

always said that each seed produces afterits own kind. And I want you
to understand that God's divine seed cameinto our spirit. By that of the
Holy Spirit. We received the spiritualdeposits the minute that we call Jesus Lord
of our life. And that seedwas planning in us was the life of
God. That's words, the Dnaof God and the power of God just

waiting to produce in our lives.Now, if we yield to it,
we will we will begin to producesupernatural fruits in our lives. That fruits,
supernatural fruit in our lives will giveus the edge to win, and
will give us to edge to winall the time, because every time we
begin to examine the word of God, we can begin to look at our

that I became born again, Ibegan to develop the character of God on
the inside. But that character isnot going to be stirred developed until I
cultivated. That means I got togo back and do some things myself.
God gives it to us, buthe expects for us to stir those things
up so that we're able to seethe increase. Remember, he gives you

a seed of faith. You gotfaith the size of a mustard seed.
But it's going to be left upto you to really field your faith.
Build that faith, leubl. It'sjust like it's with the faith level's with
the rest of them. A nonfoul of the spirit, Praise the Lord.
Therefore, you should expect your lifeto give the fruits of the spirit.
For that. This is the seedof God has grown that was sown

in your heart. And I amso grateful to God that I'm seeing the
seed being grown and sown in myheart. Let me tell y'all something.
Last week I was just worn outbecause, man, let me tell you
something. Will teaching on goodness andtalk about doing kind and to being gracious
to people. I gave away somuch to but I praised the Lord every
opportunity that the Holy Spirit spoke tome to be a blessing. I was

a blessing as much as I rememberglory to God. But I thank God
for the teaching because it reminded methat, you know, you got to
do more. You got to domore than just be a belief. You
got to really develop that fruit.You know, my mom always say love
is what it does. Ain't doingnothing. Your love is not being activated

But the fruit of the spirit islove, joy, peace, long suffering,

which is the common New Testament wordfor faith. However, in this
verse it conveys the idea of aperson who is faithful, liable, loyal,

Pistole, we want to make surethat we are not being unstable, but
we are stable. We are unwaivered. Amen. This, of course,

When Paul wrote to Timothy and toldhim how to choose leaders, he urged
Timothy to choose faithful men. Thisis also the word pistols, which tells
us that it is mandatory for thisfruit of the spirit to be found in

your leadership. Let me tell yousomething. You can't find that the fruit
of faithfulness in your leadership. Theydon't need to be leaded. I really
believe that every pastor, every CEOneeds to always go back and readjust and
reevaluate to make sure that they're ableto see exactly where their people really are
raised. In fact, it isalso used by Paul in First Corinthians,

the fourth chapter, the second verse, where he writes, he says,
moreover, it is required. Itis required that a man be found devoted,
trustworthy, dependable, dedicated, constant, and unwavery. This is really
Paul talks about being a faithful stewardhere, and you got to understand that.
You know, there must be amoment where you get to the place

where you are trustworthy, you're dependable, you're de dedicated, you're constant,
you're unwavering. Over at Matthew thetwenty fifth chapter, the fourteenth through the
fifteenth verse, the Word of theLord reads for the Kingdom of Heaven is
as a man traveling into a farcountry who called his own service and delivered

unto them his goods, and untoone, he gave five talents to another,
two until another one to every manaccording to his stabboral ability, and
straightway took his journey, and straightwaytook his journey. But they had to
be faithful. They had to befaithful over that which God had given them

praise God. Now I want tojump right on into this again, because
the faith or faithfulness of this faithor faithfulness is so esteemed by God that
it is listed in one Corinthias thirteenthirteen, where power rights and now with
by the faith, hope, charity. For this is where I theme about

spirit is a part of the eternalnature of God. The Bible stresses that
God is faithful and early and utterlydependable. You can always defend on God

It reads and says God is nota man that he should lie, neither
the son of man, that heshould change his mind, or that he

is faithful, true to his word. He's unchanging. Glory to God.
If this unchanging, stable, unwaveringbehavior is the nature of God himself,
it shouldn't surprise us that when theHoly Spirit is allowed to freely work through
our lives. He makes us faithfuland stepfast, just like God. But

we have to what get in agreementwith what the Holy Spirit is doing.
Now. God is faithful. Thereforewe should expect faithfulness to grow in our
lives as one of the fruits ofthe spirit. One of the fruit of
the spirit, faithfulness is stepfast,constancy, or a lead. It is

a carefulness in keeping what we areentrusted with. It is the condition that
the scriptures are accurately reflective reality,and it's a biblical Faithfulness requires belief in
what the Bible says about God andhis existence, his work, and his
character. Faithfulness, what is thefruit of is one of the fruit of

the spirits. It is the resultof the Spirit working in us. But
the Spirit is also our fill offaithfulness. He is our witness to God's
promised that if we accept the truthabout God, he will deliver our sais,

eleven, it gives a long listof faithful men and women in the Old
Testament who trusted God with all oftheir heart, and God talks about Able's

what God is saying. But weknow that we got to get in an
agreement what He is saying in orderfor us to see it. Praise the
Lord. Because we get in agreementwith what He's saying, we will see

it. That's that's the reason whyyou always tell us we walk by faith
and not by sight. We walkby faith and not by sight. The
faith or faithful commitment to who God, to who God says he is is
basic, is the basic to willingto walk with God, regardless of the

and he can tell his involvement wherethere was no faith. In other words,
when he recognized whether people were notoperating faith, he was like,

third verse. Abraham never saw hisdescendants become as numerous as the stars in
the sky, remembering that God saidhis family would he would have such a
great family, It will be somany stars that he wouldn't be able to

Old Testament says lived to see themMessiah, Lord, the Messiah. But
they were faithful. They believed Godwould do as he promises to, not
just asking him. Do you believethat God is gonna do as he promised?
Do you believe that God is goingto do exactly what he said he
would do? Because once you getinto that place of believing, your faith

is strong. But when you dothe opposite, the belief that mes that
fear sets in the Bible teaches usthat God has not given us us fear
of fear, but power, love, and of a sound mind. The
faithfulness is believing that God is whohe said he is and continuing in that
belief and fight whatever is going onin your life. So functionally, that

means we trust God's word. Wetrust what he says in the Bible,
and not necessary what the world orour own eyes are telling us, because
we're gonna always see the opposite andguess what. The enemy's gonna always remind
you what's not working. But yougot to understand that the word of God,
it still works. So we musttrust He will work out everything for

our good. We must trust thatHe will work his will in us.
And we must trust that our situationis not to ever be compared to our
future, because God will always turnthings around for those who stay over into
that rim of faith. Now,the only way we can have such faith
is by the Holy Spirit's influence.He testifies to the truth and impels us

to seek God the more and moreand the spirit makes us faithful. But
guess what we have to desire togrow in our faith by building our faith
with the Word of God, buildingour faith with confession, building our faith
by making abilities in our hearts.To the Lord, there are a lot
of things that you can do.Carry down strongholds, all those areas that

will try to stop you from reallywalking into what God has promised you.
Let me tell you something. Yougot to feel your faith and starve your
doubts. Lord and God, highlylujah, hollylujah. Well, the next one
of the fruit that we would examineis the fruit of meekness. Few people
think of meekness as a desirable attribute, but most assume that if a person

is meet he must be weak.And that's interesting. If you meet,
you must be weak. Not so, says the Lord to these people.
A meet person is one who ispimid, shy, bashful, or perhaps
introverted. But this is grossly incorrect. View of the New Testament word for
meekness and actuality. Meekness is oneof the strongest attributes a person can poss.

The word meekenents in Galations the fifthchapter, the twenty third verse comes
from the Big word braid us,which depicts the attitude or deminion of a
person who is forbearing, patient andslow to responding and glow rey to gun.
I've said one more time. Itdepicts the attitude or demeanor of a

person who is forbearing, patient andslow to respond in anger and pictures a
strong willed person who has learned tosubmit his will to a higher authority.
And that's a big issue because alot of people cannot submit to any authority.
Now, he is in the weak, he is controlled. He may

in fact possess a strong will anda powerful character, but this person has
learned the secret of how to bringhis will under control. Now I ask
that question because you know, welive in a den our people. If
don't like for people to give himor this, we live in a dead
our. People don't like to tellthem what to do. We live in

a then our people will rub youthe wrong way in a minute. And
if you're not careful, it's easilyto be what we call quick tempered and
loose tongue and say things that youknow to get them off of you and
make sure that they understand that you'renot a pushold here. That's not what
God is saying. He's saying ameet spirit is a person who's the meaning

of person who is forbearing patience andslow to respond in anger. Oh my,
say what this word is working us? Is working us over because work
is telling us is we got alit lot of work to complete. We
got a lot of work to complete. As the Holy Spirit is, they're

waiting to produce after his own time. So we're gonna look at it again
because me, this has to dowith the attitude or the demeaning of a
person who can control his temper orhis emotions produced in you by the Holy
Ghost. It will make you carefuland controller to tell you the minute,

(27:04):
be quiet, don't say nothing.Boy, I tell you I had experiences
over the weekend, and I tellyou someone had done something that I had
not forgotten. I forgiven them,but the minute I saw them, it
brought it back to my attention.And boy, let me tell you something.
I just wanted to just go offthe opposite way, but the Holy

(27:25):
Spirit would not allowed me too.The person began to speak, and they
began a conversation. They intentionally hada conversation. And I guess they're going
to see if going to be speakgoing back to them. But guess what,
I was very cordial. I couldhave said, I don't want to
speak to you, I don't wantto deal with you because of what happened.
But the reality is Holy Spirit hadto have the conversation with them.

(27:48):
As we were walking into a building, I was like, Oh, my
goodness, the Holy Spirit is atwork doing what he needs to do,
because this was something that really broughtme the wrong way. That hasn't been
saying years ago, but it justbrought it all The flesh just brought the
enemy, brought it all back asif it had just happened. I'm just
letting you know that you gotta alwaysgo back over the word of God.

(28:11):
You gotta go. You gotta alwaysgo back and make sure that you are
are rehearsing the word of God inyour spirit, because if you don't,
it is so easily to respond inyour flesh. It is very easy to
respond in your flesh. Now,meetus again does not mean that you.
Rather, it involves humility and thankfulnesstoward God. It's politess restrained behavior toward

(28:36):
other people. And the opposite ofgentleness is the opposites of gentleness or meekness
or anger, or desire for revengeor stuff or arrangements that you can go
back and get, you know,get get get back at people. And
that's not the way that God wantsit to be. It takes a strong

(28:57):
person to be truly gentle. AndI want you to understand that we have
to practice this. We have topractice and we have to be reminded all
the time, all the time,all the time. Do God want us
to to give him control of ourlives relying on not on our logic,
but not on our reason, Butwe want to be not on the Holy

(29:18):
spirits leading and with the wisdom giveit to us by the Holy Spirit.
We begin to see why we shouldcompletely submit to God as the lord of
our lives. And I'm gonna tellyou something. When you do that every
time, it just takes you higherand higher and higher and higher. And
let me tell you something. Asyou get more into the work, concern

(29:38):
that Howya're supposed to be walking,Howya's supposed to be living? Yes,
what's gonna happen? You are goingto be challenged. When I say you're
going to be challenged, You're goingto be challenged all of the time.
So we gotta make up in ourmind are we gonna cultivate the fruit or
are we gonna just allow our fleshto just lead us and guide us and

(30:02):
get us in trouble. I don'twant to get in trouble, no more
than when I have to get introuble, to go before the Lord and
say, Lord, forgive me fornot responding the way I was supposed to
respond. But even as I'm givenanother opportunity, guess what, I must
pass the test. And you willtake the test over and over and over
again, and you'll take the test, do a series of people. You'll
be surprised of the people that Godwill sing you with. Can you really

get it? Get it, getit, get it, get it,
get it, get it, getit, get it. So I may
up in my mind that I don'twant retakes. So I'm going to try
to do my very best to beconstilance of the fact of how I roll
with people, with God's people,even with the people of the world,
because they need to see Christ inus so that they will want what we
have. Raise the name of theLord, gloridly God. So that is

(30:49):
the area of a meekness. Meeknesshas to do with your attitude or your
demeanor. Of a person who cancontrol his temper glory to God. Now
let's look at the word diemference.The word temperance comes from the Greek word
in and cratos. The word inmeans in and the word craytos, and

the Greek word is power when youcombine. When combining into one word,
