"Le cave e le città" - dice il fotografo giapponese Naoya Hatakeyama - "sono come immagini negative e positive di un'unica fotografia" che dal 1995 sino al 2008 ha fotografato nella serie BLAST esplosioni controllate nelle cave.
Di tutte le esplosioni catturate in Blast, però, ce n'è una che si distacca dalle altre, e tutto a causa di un elemento inaspettato: un uccello.
