Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Little Mermaid. Once upon a time, in the depths
of the vast blue ocean, there lived a young mermaid
named Ariel. She was the youngest daughter of King Triton,
ruler of the Sea, and though she was born into
a royal family, Ariel's heart longed for something beyond the
underwater kingdom. Ariel had always been fascinated by the world

(00:20):
above the water's surface. She would spend her days swimming
to the surface, watching ships sail by, and listening to
the sounds of the human world. Her curiosity was endless.
One day, after a particularly strong storm, Ariel spotted something
strange floating on the water. A human ship had capsized
and a young prince was struggling to stay afloat without hesitation.

(00:44):
Ariel dove into the water and rescued him, pulling him
to safety on a rocky shore. As she watched the
prince regain consciousness, she knew she had to leave before
he saw her, but in that fleeting moment, their eyes
locked and Ariel felt an unspoken connection. She swam back
to her underwater kingdom, her heart heavy with longing. That night,

(01:07):
Ariel couldn't stop thinking about the prince. She dreamt of
walking on land, talking to him, and sharing a life
in his world. She knew it was impossible for a
mermaid to live on land, but her longing for the
human world only grew stronger. One evening, Ariel went to
her father, King Triton, and begged him to let her
visit the human world. But King Triton was fiercely protective

(01:30):
of his daughters and forbade it. He warned her that
humans were dangerous and that the surface world was not
a place for mermaids. But Ariel's heart was set on
seeing the Prince again, so she sought out the Sea,
which Ursula known for granting wishes, but at a great cost.
Ursula agreed to grant Ariel's wish, offering her a potion

(01:51):
that would transform her into a human, but there was
a catch. Ariel's voice, the very thing that made her
unique would be taken from her. Without her voice, Ariel
could not speak to the Prince or reveal who she
truly was. Furthermore, Ursula warned her that if the Prince
did not fall in love with her before sunset on
the third day, she would become a mermaid again, and

(02:13):
her soul would belong to Ursula. Forever Desperate, Ariel agreed
to the deal and she drank the potion. Her tail
turned into human legs, and she swam to the shore,
where she collapsed on to the beach. When she awoke,
she found herself walking awkwardly, but walking on two legs.
The Prince found her, but when he heard that she

(02:34):
could not speak, he assumed she was a mute stranger. Still,
they formed a bond. Ariel's kindness and beauty captivated him,
but he had already fallen in love with another woman,
whom he believed had saved him. During the storm, Ariel's
heart sank, but she didn't give up. On the final day,
as the sun began to set, Ariel knew she had

(02:56):
one last chance. Just as Ursula tried to take Ariel's soul,
the Prince realized the truth. Ariel was the one who
had saved him all along. In a final act of
love and bravery, Ariel was freed from Ursula's evil grasp.
Her voice returned, and the Prince declared his love for her.
Ariel and the Prince married, and with the blessing of

(03:18):
her father, Ariel chose to remain human, living her happily
ever after with the one she loved, and so Ariel's
dreams came true, and she found her place in the
world above the waves, beside her true love.
