El Delta Birding Festival és un esdeveniment d’ornitologia que es fa cada any al Delta de l’Ebre, i és famós en tot Europa, ve gent de moltíssims llocs. Hi ha activitats per veure ocells i per conèixer l’entorn del Delta, també es fan xerrades i tallers sobre fotografia, il·lustració científica, identificació d’ocells, etc. Hi ha moltíssims stands d’associacions i empreses relacionades amb l’ornitologia.
Parlem amb el Ponç sobre el “green birding”, que significa veure ocells sense vehicles a motor, la seva modalitat preferida és la bicicleta. És autor d’un llibre (Pedals i plomes) i protagonista d’un documental (“The green big week”) sobre el mateix tema. Coneixem a quins reptes s’enfronta el Parc Natural de Cap de Creus, quines espècies trobem només en aquest territori i quines tasques d’educació ambiental realitzen.
