In the early morning of April 29th, two thousand and four, Melaly Matwaier
reported that her husband beat her.He left and never saw him again.
A week later, Bill Matwayer's body, barely thirty- nine years
old, was found in three separatesuitcases. Before we begin, I recommend
that you sign up so that youcan help me reach the 100, 000

(00:22):
subscribers, a goal that I haveand that I hope to meet by the
end of this year and I knowthat with your help I can achieve it.
Now yes, let' s justadd, let' s re-
take it a little bit and seehow it all started. William Theodorth Mattwayer
was born on September twenty- ninthof a thousand nine hundred and sixty-
four in River Ege, New Jersey, United States. Son of William and

(00:44):
Ruth mcwire. Bill, as hewas told of affection, had two older
sisters, named Cindy and Nancy. As a child. Vill was considered as
an adventurous child who has always triedto climb everywhere. In nineteen hundred and
sixty- eight his parents separated andhe and his sisters moved with their mother
to a smaller house. In lateryears, her parents remarried and separated repeatedly.

(01:08):
Vill, as he was told ofaffection, was known as a funny,
intelligent person with a great heart.According to his friends, he was
a very loyal person. Ruth wasa pretty strict woman with her children,
which led to her eldest daughter,Nancy, leaving home and getting married when
Bill was only twelve. Nancy waslike a mother to Billy, as she
took care of him while his motherworked, so it was a little difficult

(01:30):
for him. At the age offifteen, I' m a widow from
home. She came to her sister' s house, cinth She called her
mother and told her so. Itwas okay for them to take care of
Débill and his mother accepted. Cindyand her husband tried to be the parents
Bill practically didn' t have. But Bill was a rebellious teenager, so
things weren' t that easy.In his new home, Bilbey and his

(01:51):
sister' s husband as a fatherfigure, so he decided to follow in
his footsteps and wanted to become apharmacist, which ended up becoming a passion
for the rest of his life.On June 16, 1980, Bil graduated
from high school and in December ofthat year enlisted in the United States Navy.
In a thousand nine hundred and eighty- six, Bill decided to marry

(02:12):
his then girlfriend, Marcy Polsky, when he discovered that his check would go
up for marriage benefits, which hewas alarmed about. The marriage was far
from perfect, as they were bothvery young and immature. By nine hundred
and ninety, Bill left the armyand enrolled at the University to study pharmacology.
They moved into a cheap apartment andboth got jobs as waiters. At

(02:34):
this point, Bill already wanted toend the marriage. In a thousand nine
hundred and ninety- two, Billfinally left Martin, but this spent the
next two years trying to get himback. In those two years, Bill
moved in with two friends. Hestudied very hard and worked nights at restaurants
in the area. In these placesthey knew him as the rude waiter,
because he spoke to customers in avery particular way, but they loved him

(02:58):
and always asked for the rude waiterto attend them. In a thousand ninety
- four, his friend and roommateintroduced him to his girlfriend, Melanie Slates,
and to Bill it was love.At first sight. Bill and Melanie
were perfect for each other. Theyloved the good life and shared the same
sarcastic humor, even though Melan waseight years younger, they seemed to be

(03:20):
in the same tune. Melanie LineSlay was born on October 18, 1970,
in Ritchwood, New Jersey, sonof Bot and Linda Slates. Melanie
was raised only by her mother andgrandparents, after her parents abandoned them and
later died of cancer. Melanie wasa model student who always had the best
grades without the best effort. Hewas smarter than his classmates, as he

(03:46):
possessed an academic, natural ability andphotographic memory. According to her mother,
she was the dream of any mother, a good girl, intelligent and never
getting into trouble. When Melaniy wasten years old, her mother officialized her
relationship with her former boss, MichaelCappararon, and after that divorcee moved with
her son to Melanie' s house. Melanie didn' t get along very

(04:08):
well with this man, so thingswere a little difficult until two years later,
when his little brother was born.As a teenager, Melani went from
being a shy young woman to beingquite promiscuous, losing her virginity at the
age of thirteen. According to hisolder half- brother, Melani had many
boyfriends and at the same time cheatedon them with others. Once he even
told her he was dating two teachersand they were both married. In nine

(04:31):
hundred and ninety, Melani graduated fromthe top five of his class and then
enrolled at the University for a dualspecialization in mathematics and psychology. In the
spring of one thousand nine hundred andninety- four, Melani, 22,
graduated from the University, but insteadof following that path, decided that she
wanted to be a nurse. Thatsummer, Mela didn' t move in
with her mother and stepfather again. She got a job as a waitress and

(04:56):
had been dating Brian Herberg for abouta year. After the restaurants closed,
the workers socialized with each other, and it was one of these nights that
Brian introduced Melanie to his roommate,Bill Mattwire. A few days later,
Melanie broke up with Brian and startedfalling in love with Bill. In a
thousand nine hundred and ninety- five, Melanie joined nursing school and they reached
an agreement that they would marry. After you both graduated. In the summer

(05:19):
of nine hundred and ninety- seven, Melani finally agreed to move in with
Bill, after he got a newapartment. Now, Bill, thirty-
three, had dropped out of pharmacologyand was working on a bachelor' s
degree in administration at a technology institute. That same summer, Melani finally graduated
from nursing school and showed a lotof interest in the fertility field, so

(05:41):
he started working at a clinic inthe egg donation area. Melani, as
a nurse, was outstanding, butaccording to coworkers, she was very bad
and sarcastic with other nurses she didn' t like. It was like I
had a little demon inside her.Melani also had multiple adventures with different scholars
from the clinic. By nine hundredand ninety- nine, the couple was

(06:03):
already ready to marry, but Melanidecided that she was ready to have a
child. And without consulting Billy,he stopped taking his pills and started taking
fertility drugs he was getting from theclinic. In February, Melani became pregnant,
but lost it. Bill was relievedbecause everything was ready and I didn
' t want to have children beforethe marriage, but Melani didn' t

(06:25):
listen to him and kept trying toget pregnant, until he finally made it
in June that same year. Thecouple finally married and on February 11,
2000, their first son was born. After the baby was born. Bill
decided that it was time to stopworking as a waiter and graduate, decided
to take a job at the sameuniversity for sixty- five thousand dollars a
year, while Melani continued to workat the fertility clinic. In two thousand

(06:47):
one, Melanie became pregnant again, causing friction in the marriage. Bill suspected
that fertility drugs had something to dowith it and claimed he didn' t
take it into account. Bill hadtwo jobs and very little time for his
family, which caused more tension inthe marriage, while his baby spent most
of the day in day care.On the 21st of March, two thousand

(07:11):
and two were born his second son. After returning from her maternity leave,
Melani began an affair with a doctorat the clinic named Bradley Miller, who
was also married. Actually, whenMelan is pregnant with her second child,
her relationship with the doctor evolved fromcoworkers flirting with a complete adventure. Dr.
Bradley said he bought two prepaid cellphones to communicate and that they called

(07:33):
each other at least ten or twentytimes a day, even when they worked
together. Soon they fell in loveand began planning how to leave their respective
spouses. But then everything changed. In the year two thousand four, when
Melanie decided that she would move fromthe house she shared with Bill to an
apartment to be able to start thedivorce process, Bill got a bigger and

(07:56):
nicer family home for them malan andstarted living Bill as a p for his
happiness, so he started planning howto get rid of him. And that
' s how in this whole context, let' s go to the moment
of the facts. On April 28, two thousand and four, Bill and
Melian and closed the purchase of thefirst house they would own. Then they
returned to their apartment and Bill calledthe gas company at five and thirty-

(08:20):
seven in the afternoon to transfer hisaccount to the new house. At five
and forty- four and five andfifty- nine in the afternoon he called
two good friends to happily tell himthat he had completed the purchase of his
new home. This would be thelast time I' d talk to someone
besides his wife. Later that night, he came back where the seller of
the house called back, as hehad done punctually on previous occasions. And

(08:43):
there' s no evidence that Billspoke to anyone again after 6: 00
p m on April 28th, twothousand four. By the early morning of
April 29th, two thousand and four, Miranimetguayer commented that she had a violent
fight with her husband and beat herbefore leaving the house. I probably would
' ve broken my cheek, thepunch would' ve been fisted. I
looked down and there was my two- year- old son. I grabbed

(09:05):
the baby and went to the bathroomright behind me and I locked the door.
I just wanted to get away fromhim at the time. He said
he was leaving and that he wasn' t coming back and that he could
tell my kids that they didn't have a father. Melanie denounced at
the time in a few words, her husband left and never saw him again.
On April 30, 2000, Melanitestified under oath in a Family Court

(09:26):
proceeding that he needed a restraining orderagainst William Madwayer because it was a threat
to his safety. Melanie Madwayer claimedthat the night her husband disappeared, she
pushed her against the wall, slappedher and then left. He also wrote
that a month earlier he put adryer wipe in his mouth. She was

(09:46):
asked if she had access to anyweapons and she wrote no After swearing with
the Bible that she would tell thetruth, Melani began to say that she
was in the process of hiring adivorce lawyer. Melani, who was being
recorded, mentioned that, even thoughthey often fought, she thought everything would
calm down. After I closed thedocuments for the new house, but it
didn' t. He mentioned hehasn' t heard from him since that

(10:09):
day. They asked him if Billhad been violent with her before and she
said no, apart from the timeswhen he threatened to break his face.
That same day, in Lysan,William Madwyer' s maximum blue two thousand
two, he was found outside theFlamingo Hotel in Atlantic City. A security
camera captured the granulated image of someoneleaving the car and moving away from silence.

(10:31):
The Bill was unusual because he wasusually very active on his phones,
both socially and at work his sister, Cindy, with whom he spoke daily.
She started calling Melan to ask himabout her brother, and she replied
that Bill had left in this versionMelanie told Cindie. He mentioned that they
slept on the couch after closing thedeal and woke up at 1: 00

(10:54):
a m. They were going upthe stairs when they started arguing, because
that wasn' t the Ke Billhouse I wanted. Then he saw the
pile of clean clothes with the dryerwipes and started yelling at her that she
was a bad mother. He tooka wipe and put it in his mouth.
For Syndie, this story made nosense and more knowing that his brother
would not be able to treat Melani. So, Cindy asked him if he

(11:16):
could give him his badge number tolook for him. But conveniently, Melanie,
a woman with photographic memory, didn' t remember the badge or the
name of the weak car insurance company. When cindy finished the call. She
was convinced that something was wrong, but she had no reason to doubt Melanie,
so it was decided to keep callingher brother the next few days.

(11:37):
On May 5, 2000, aman fishing from his boat near the fourth
island of the Chessa Pick Bay TunnelBridge recovered a suitcase with human remains.
Days later, on May 11,a graduate student who went out to watch
birds for a day found another suitcasethat reached the shore of Fischerman Island,
off the east coast of Virginia. While all this happens r on May 8,

(12:01):
the abandoned car you Bill was toweda police depot. Finally, on
May 16, 2000, a navigatorfound a third matching suitcase floating in the
bay near the second island of thebridge and tunnel. More human remains were
found inside this body. It hadbeen cut into three sections, drained of
blood, wrapped in garbage bags andpacked in three identical suitcases. The medical

(12:26):
examiner in Virginia found two bullets inthe torso, inlet bullet wounds and separate
exits to the head and chest. In one of the suitcases was also found
a blanket with marks from a hospitalsupply company. On May 21, 2000,
Virginia Beach police published a sketch composedof the man' s face,
whose remains were recovered at eight andtwenty- five in the morning. Susan

(12:48):
curly of sorcery Pik Virginia was gettingdressed to go to work. When the
image appeared on her television, shewas frozen to recognize the image as her
husband’ s best friend. Bill. Mattwiresa and John Rice resided in Virginia
with their children, and Johng wasBill' s best friend. Since a
thousand nine hundred and eighty- three, the two joined the Navy to the

(13:09):
United States and kept in touch overthe years. Mad Wayers became the godfather
of Rice' s son, andRice was the godfather of William and Melanie
' s wedding. The next day, the detectives received confirmation that the victim
' s prints matched those of WilliamMadwyer of only thirty- nine years.
Meanwhile, Melane had hired a lawyerto divorce on 26 May. Finally,

(13:33):
the authorities informed Melany Madwayer that herhusband had been found dead. She began
to cry as her stepfather comforted her. Later that day, Michael Cappararo informed
the Rise that until then they hadnot received confirmation that it was their best
friend, and they, in turn, notified Cindy, Bill' s sister.

(13:54):
Virginia Beach Detective Ray Peakle was thefirst to investigate Bill' s murder.
Mattwire, a shot victim in threesuitcases, sounds like a gang murder.
Bill Matt Bayer liked to bet andmaybe he reneged on a debt to
the wrong person, but the detectivesaid the evidence never took him. That
way. Surgical cuts on the bodypointed to someone medical conformation, not a

(14:18):
street bully, and crime scene techniciansfound something else a hospital command inside one
of the suitcases. Pikle did someresearch and quickly discovered that the pill wife
was a nurse. About a weekafter the remains were identified, the detective
was in the office of a NewJersey lawyer asking some questions to Melaney.

(14:39):
Matt Wire had the luggage to thegame that had now disappeared. She didn
' t answer, but the detectivetold her that her husband' s autoperiode
might be in Atlantic City, andthat' s where Peakle later found the
victim' s maximum Nice two thousandtwo blue to the vehicle. They took
the prints of axillary photographs and suckedthe boards into the floor. They also

(15:01):
looked into the water supply and foundthe clear liquid to a Pico syringe one
day. He also searched Matt Wire' s apartment, as it was the
last place where he saw pill aliveThis place was spotless, there was no
sign of a fight there. Infact, the place was empty. Melanie
had already moved. When the detectiveasked to see Bill' s clothes,

(15:22):
she told him she had already givenhim a friend Piko. He finally found
them and they were still in thebags that Melanie had packed. They were
black plastic trash bags, like thosefound with Bill Matwire' s remains one
day After the interview, Milanie toldthe detective that she had suddenly remembered something
that, in fact, had matchingluggage. He showed him a picture of

(15:45):
one of the pieces of luggage recoveredfrom Chisa Pich Bay and she identified it
as the family baggage. This wasa changing story and very hard to believe.
Still, nothing strongly linked Mela orher husband' s murder, or
s came out of the safe stateof one thing. Bill Matguayer' s
body could have been dumped in Virginia, but he had been killed in New

(16:07):
Jersey. By September 15, 2000, Virginia police closed their investigation and handed
over the case to New Jersey. After concluding that William mad Wayer was killed
in that state, in New Jersey. The case was handled by David dark
Rimpele, a state police detective, who took a fresh look at the case.
He searched for weapons records, coldgun stores and looked for someone in

(16:30):
Bill Madwayer' s circle who mighthave been armed. That' s when
he found out that on April 26th, two thousand and four, Melanie had
bought a special thirty- eight pistolat a small gun store in Pensylvania,
two days before Bill' s disappearance. Later, the detective and his team
tracked down a man named James Fing, an old friend of Melanie' s

(16:52):
and gun enthusiasts. Weeks before herhusband' s death, she had emailed
him finally saying that things were goingon in her house, that she was
worried about the paranoia of pill andwanted protection. For his part, Fin
replied that he could buy a Pennsylvaniaarmen in one day. Now the police
wanted to know where that gun was, so they convinced Fin to call her

(17:14):
friend and record the conversation or thepossible missing Armomicide, there wasn' t

(17:45):
much to do, so the authoritiesfocused on finding what might motivate Melan and
ending her husband' s life. That' s when they discovered Dr Bradley
Miller, Melanie' s boss,at the fertility clinic. Speaking to Bradley
Miller, he told the police thatMelanie had told him a very crazy story
that, after that fight with Billand After getting that protective order against him,

(18:07):
he drove two hours to Atlantic City. Once there he found the Nison
The Bill and, in spite ofthat, moved him to a separate motel.
He even said a security camera could' ve caught him making him exhausted.
He left his car there and tooka cab home. The next day
he said he took a taxi rideback to Atlantic CITYG to get his car

(18:30):
back. Police checked the taxi companiesin the Melanie area, but none of
them had a ticket to travel toAtlantic City, a fee that would have
cost hundreds of dollars. Melanie hadalso told her his lover, Dr Miller,
that he had been buying furniture inDelaware, not far from Chisa Piach
Bay. One day before the firstsuitcase showed up. The detective said they

(18:51):
convinced the doctor to confront his loverwith another phone call. Mellani was being
secretly recorded Great prek Stone rum Ramafor beginnings. In the year two thousand

(19:33):
and five, the authorities began togive a plan to catch Millan, obtaining
a court order that would allow themto secretly record hundreds of hours of telephone
conversations between Melanie Madwire and his familyand friends. Finally, on June 2nd
and the two thousand five, afterleaving her children in a nursery, Melanie
mad Wayer was arrested. After eightmonths of thorough investigation, the police finally

(19:56):
made their move to arrest or no n ns Dualle and charged her with
murder. First grade. She pleadednot guilty, a statement of innocence was
filed in her name. Bail wasset at$ 750, 000 in a
matter of day for his stepfather. She paid ten percent and was released.
Months later, a state grand juryfiled a four- pronged indictment. Metal

(20:18):
Mad Guaire' s bail was raisedto$ 2 1 million. Bail was
paid and he was released again. At this time, the authorities maintained that
she had an accomplice, but noone else. He was charged. A
second indictment was handed over by October26 of the two thousand six, accusing
Melany mat Wager of describing a seriesof letters intended to remove the police from
his tracks during the investigation of themurder. The letters suggested that she was

(20:41):
making him decried. This time shewas again released on bail on the thirty
- first of October of the twothousand and six. The second charge is
brought after Melaniy mad Wayer appears incourt and is informed of the new charges.
Another declaration of innocence is entered andreleased after a$ 10, 000
editional bond is paid. Finally,on March 5th of the two thousand and

(21:03):
seven began what would be the trialof Melan and Matt Wier. Almost two
years after Melanie' s arrest, the precious prosecutor Patti prepared to convince a
jury that all those circumstances pointed toMrs Mattwire' s guilt. The prosecution
began with Melanie' s purchase ofa caliro gun, and eight days before
her husband' s death. Theprosecutor' s office argues that the defendant

(21:26):
only told her friends about the gun. After Bill' s death and even
then his stories changed. He toldsome friends that it was Bill who wanted
the gun and told someone else thatit was her who wanted it. As
protection against Bill, the forensic scientisttom lesniac used a pointer to show the
jury the visual similarities between the garbagebags where Bill' s body was found

(21:47):
and the garbage bags Melany had usedto give away her husband' s clothes,
his conclusion, were made in thesame line of production. What the
prosecutor found most suspicious was what Soneckdid not find, as his team had
meticulously searched Melanie' s apartment, including the toilets, but had not been
able to find a drop of blood, no DN material at all or any

(22:11):
trace that the macbayers had ever livedthere. The forensic expert went on to
tell the jury that Melani might havehidden his prints from us as well as
he thought, because he found tracesof the crime scene. Elsewhere, the
expert found microscopic particles of Bill Macdwire' s tissue human tissue in vacuum cleaners

(22:32):
taken from the floor of the weakcar. The D A said it was
all right, that Melani had probablypicked up traces of Bill' s tissue
on the sole of his shoes whenhe cut his body in the bathroom and
then transferred it to his car. When he drove him to Atlantic City,
a computer expert also gave the juryabout the incriminating Internet searches that had been

(22:52):
conducted in the days leading up toPill' s death. There were several
searches involving things like chemicals and poisons. There were searches involving weapons and someone
had looked online for advice on howthey committed murder. There was also a
search for chloral hydrate, a powerfulbut rare sedative and a search for a
nearby pharmacy. He mentioned the expert. Coral hydrate is also known as a

(23:15):
knockut drug and was purchased the dayBill disappeared. This was found next to
a syringe in Bill' s car. The 21st of March. At two
thousand seven, Dr Bradley Miller testified, which was the most anticipated part of
the trial. Dr Mille said thathe and Mella didn' t have a
three- year relationship and talked abouthow he received Melani' s sexoral and

(23:37):
when they first met, then theywent to Melani and it seemed terribly uncomfortable.
There was also evidence that Melani andtook a page on Dr Mille'
s prescription checkbook and forged his signatureso that he could get chloral hydrate.
At its closure, the prosecutor saidthe murder probably happened like this. Bill
mad Wyer drinking wine to celebrate hisnew home without any idea that the drink

(24:00):
contained chlorar hydrate or that his wifewanted to age with her lover, not
with him. The next day, with the children in Melani daycare and shot
Mad Wayer, who was still asleepand with a pillow, he amortized the
noise. The dead man is cutin the bathroom, put in bags and
suitcases, taken to the bridge ofthe bay of Hechiza Pek and thrown into

(24:23):
the water by Melanie' s defense. His defense lawyer, Joetta Copina,
said the investigators were wrong, thatthey had focused on Melani Matwayer from the
beginning, focusing on the evidence incriminatinghim and disregarding other clues. He said
the prosecution case was circumstantial at bestand absolutely unconvincing. Clearly there is no

(24:45):
forensic evidence that she committed this crime, no eyewitnesses and there was absolutely no
motive whatsoever mentioned. The defense saidthere was a much simpler explanation and why
there were no traces of blood inthe apartment. The murder never happened there.
The D A said she was beingcharged. He probably stepped on PI
' s remains and transferred the tissueto usuaut Melani had admitted to being in

(25:08):
that car. His defense attorney madeanother call to common sense why no traces
of Bill' s skin would befound in his own car and, in
addition, in the cross- examination. The prosecutor' s expert admitted that
there was no absolute evidence that humantissue came from a corpse. The defense
also approached critical evidence against his clientthat gun. The prosecutor said it was

(25:30):
very suspicious that Melani could never keephis story clear about why he bought it,
but Taco Pina replied that Melanie couldnot tell people the real reason.
The gun was always meant for Bill, a convicted felon who couldn' t
buy it himself. With this hemeant that Bill had a criminal record,
since while in the navy, hehad some problems with checks and traffic tickets.

(25:53):
One computer expert suggested that there wasso much evidence that Bill had done
such incriminating searches on him as Melani. For example, a search for data
on undetectable poisons was conducted almost immediatelyafter a search for information on gambling.
S was Bille' s pastime, not hers. On the other hand,

(26:14):
a plastic expert thought the prosecution's analysis of garbage bags was silly.
Finally, on April 23, 2000, Melaniy Mat Wayer was convicted of murder
in the first degree. He wasalso found guilty of perjury, discretion in
human remains and possession of a weaponfor an illegal purpose. She was acquitted

(26:37):
of charges of obstructing the apprehension, tampering with evidence and possession of non-
prescription sanax. Shortly after her conviction, but before her sentence, Matwayer appealed
a new trial based on the storyof a prison informant, that her husband
was heavily indebted and could have beenkilled by Atlantic City mobsters. However,
prosecutors established that the informant was unbelievableand routinely and habitually produced stories. On

(27:03):
19 July, two thousand and seven, at the age of thirty- four,
Melaly mad Guaier was sentenced to lifeimprisonment during her appearance on murder charges.
Mad Guayer' s case was nicknamedthe murder of the suitcase. Author
John Glatt wrote a book about thecase entitled" Having and Killing,"
and from which I relied mostly tobring you this story. Matt Wayer'

(27:26):
s conviction was upheld by an appealscourt on March 16, two thousand eleven
and must serve more than sixty-three years before he is eligible for parole.
On September 20 of that same year, the Supreme Court of New Jersey
refused to hear his additional appeal. In September of the two thousand and twenty,
Millani spoke to host Amy Rowach ofABC News' Twenit Ttoanny program,

(27:52):
her first interview since she was sentencedin July of the two thousand and seven.
In this he described Bill as agambling addict and said that maybe he
owed someone money and that' swhy they killed him.“ There is
a murderer still out there,”said Melanie, who appealed his case and
hopes to regain freedom for the firsttime in years. She said she hopes
that a new explosive podcast, DireckApple, can help exonerate her. The

(28:18):
podcast presented by two criminology professors namedMegan Sacks and Amy Shlowsburg, questions Melanie
' s guilt and suggests that thereis evidence in the case that she never
received the legal scrutiny she deserved.Melanie did not incapacitate, shoot, or
use a saw to dismember her husband. You know how hard it is to
cut a bone. It' sphysically exhausting. Besides, if the crime

(28:42):
scene didn' t happen at thefamily house and she was home with her
kids all night, where this happened. There are too many holes in this
story. They said Maray mad Wier, who is not eligible for parole until
she is one hundred and one yearsold. He said the hardest part is
he won' t be there forhis kids. The court granted custody of

(29:03):
his two children to the sister ofBill Sindi and Melani. Matwayer has had
no contact with them since the trial. Matt Wayer has a message for his
children, who are now adults,to make the decision. Don' t
accept what you' re told onthe cava surface. These documents exist,
these things exist, they are outthere mentioned. This is all the information

(29:26):
I could gather regarding this case. Now I ask you melanimad Wyern is guilty
or innocent. Well, so fartoday' s case. You know that
