Speaker 1 (00:00):
Back again. You can follow me at Brian Farance dot com,
Magnamine podcast dot com, on True Social at Brian Farren's
and on gab at Brian fe and on Twitter at
Brian Farrence One. Sorry about the different user names. I
just want to make it hard to find me for you. Anyways,
(00:20):
I am back again today. I am doing some kind
of technical work. I'm not really gonna show you what
I'm doing. I'm just gonna do it and then comment
a little bit. But I'm just gonna keep streaming while
(00:48):
I do this, so I'll kind of tell you without
telling you what I'm doing, I'll tell you some things
about it. Let's see, m.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
All right.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
So one of the things you can do is you
can host a server and have a domain and email,
and you can have it on that web server, or
you can point that mail server to another service provider,
(01:36):
for example proton mail, and you can host your domain
based email on proton mail. So that's what's going on again.
I'm not gonna show anything, just talking generalities. But oops,
(01:58):
so you would the way you would do that as
you'd log into proton mail. I believe you have to
have a paid account for domain based hosting otherwise it's free.
And then see if I have the right log in
to do that. Think you do, so we'll just wait
(02:21):
and see. Okay, yes, So I logged in and in
proton mail there's a bunch of different services. They have
proton Wallet, which is cryptocurrency, proton pass which is passwords,
Proton VPN which is a virtual private network, proton Drive
which is like a cloud drive, proton Calendar which is
(02:43):
a calendar, and proton Mail. I've been using it for years.
In this case, i'd want to go to proton mail.
So I get a little bit of dusts and stuff
in my eye from allergies, I think, OK, let's see
(03:11):
all right. Then once you're in proton mail, you want
to take a look at the settings. There's a gear
icon at the top and I believe it's under all settings,
(03:41):
and then a bunch of things open on the left side,
and one of them is domain names under organization and
there's a bunch of domain names in there, and under
(04:10):
one of the domains, I actually want them to go
to redirect to the other one. I noticed it doesn't
have any kind of domain authentication, which is be like
the mx SPF, DKM authentication. So I want to actually
go look at the host.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Where did I save that? Maybe here?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yes? Okay, we have to save my information properly, so
that's important to save your files and your file names.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
Okay, yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
I'm saving that host which is at a it's a
domain domain DNS provider. I won't say which one. And
then I'm gonna log into there again. Sorry you don't
get to see this, but too bad. Pass some water.
(05:43):
All right, I'm gonna log in here, use your name
and password. Might have a two factor authentication. We'll see. Oh,
let me just hit continue to account.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
It's all right.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Boom, got in there without it. And then when to
look up a certain domain? Man, my internet is slow today,
or maybe it's just the server go under domains.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
M hm.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
That's interesting, and.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
They always move stuff around on me here, m all right,
I'm gonna go to the domain dashboard. H all right,
(07:14):
I found the one I'm looking at. I'm going to
manage that domain. Me wonderful. They've completely changed the interface
on this everywhere.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
Oh it's very strange.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Okay, I want the domain. I want to manage the
DNS specifically, and now managing the DNS and I want
(08:15):
to do an SPF record, So I'm gonna click on
y SPF record. So I'm gonna add a text DNS entry.
The host name is going to be at and then
there's gonna be a value, So I want to add
(08:36):
a new record. Type is going to be text name
is going to be at value. And then the TTL
is how long it refreshes the It's in seconds, so
I'm gonna set it to like the minimum value is
six hundred seconds. I'm gonna make it six hundred seconds
(08:56):
because I went to refresh right away added that. So
added that SPF record. I'm gonna hit next, and then
it wants to add a DKYM which is a C name,
So I'm gonna add a new record. In the drop down,
we select C name and then I'm going to there's
(09:24):
three of them, one, two, three. I'm gonna do.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
That name.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
That value, that name that value, and again I want
to do the TTL to six hundred seconds, which is
the slowest or the fastest SORR. I was out in
(09:59):
the gardens. My allergies are bought bugging me. Now gotta
take a shower. And the third C name and value
is now in there. Boom, save the records. Oh one
of them missed the sea name and the drop down
save the records. What my second one missed the copy
(10:22):
and paste? Come on, bam, save enough the boom when
I was for a second here, Sorry about that. That's
reality for you, all right. I'm hitting next, and wants
(10:49):
me to add a d mark value, which is another
text record. So I'm guy add a record text record,
d mark value, copy that, paste that custom six hundred
TTL save. Man, I've got a lot of texts. All right, done,
(11:18):
So I'm gonna try and refresh this. Let's see what happens.
But blow my nose again. I'll do it off camera
this time. Allergies, what are you gonna do?
Speaker 2 (11:37):
All right?
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Let me see if I can review this? Next?
Speaker 7 (11:42):
Next?
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Next?
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Oh did I add the MX records? I don't think
so let's see if it has MX records. It does not.
It's sad the MX records so MX excuse me? Oh?
(12:11):
Priority priority ten? So the MIX records do have a priority.
I'm saying one to party ten. Not gonna answer that?
Speaker 7 (12:24):
What them?
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Not gonna answer that? And I'm gonna do another MX record,
same host name. This one's priority twenty different value. Is
(12:54):
it the same? Yeah, they're pretty much the same. L
six hundred Save the records now, it says most most
DNS records take an hour, some take forty hours. Hopefully
with the TTL will be slower. The d mark has
(13:21):
already been verified. Looks like let's refresh. Yeah, the other
ones they're gonna need to verify. It's gonna take a while. Now.
(13:55):
I want to make sure that the domain is going
to forward. I do see that there's some addresses here.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
This is interesting.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
The last time I did this, I was able to
click on it. All right, I'm gonna review it again.
I'm gonna go to addresses. It's hm, says there's already
(14:39):
six in there. Steams strange, they're not being used. Let
me look at the users and addresses so okay, yeah,
(15:01):
some of them are set up.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
Ah h hm, what's going on here?
Speaker 1 (15:22):
M h That might have done it forward forward and
auto reply. Let's see if I can add a forwarding rule.
(15:43):
So that's not gonna work.
Speaker 8 (15:52):
Mm hmmm mm hm hm h.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
M hmm.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Let me just take a look at this. So let's seem.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
So I'm doing a search on forwarding the domain there's
some settings or some instructions says create an alias aliases
create a new alias using your custom domain. Basically, all right,
(16:44):
I'm gonna ask if this was done, because if this
alias step wasn't completed, it might need to be done.
Yeah right, let me send a text message on this one.
(19:12):
All right, I'll just have the instructions on how to
create an alias. I think one has to be created
for each domain. So I was getting blown up on
text there. Oh, I see, uh someone is messaging me.
(19:37):
Let's see. Ah, I'm rumble. I'm gonna respond here. Let's see.
Let's put the uh chat overlay on there. There's Sky
and Jesse. Hey, hey, Sky and Jesse, thank you for
the flag comment. I'm gonna respond rumble. Looks like doctor
(20:09):
maga hat yep, make America great again. Let's see. Ooh,
and I would just informed that there's a cool stock
with's di own. It's called Bido b I t O
and it pays dividend. It's based on bitcoin sort of.
(20:33):
It's more complicated than that Bitcoin futures really, and it's
dividend increased from thirty six sense per shared to fifty
four zero point five four five almost fifty five cents
a share. So that's awesome. So thank you Guy and
Jesse for that. Heads up, sweet, my wife is asking
(21:03):
me to make dinner a good thing. I have those
sweet potatoes in the oven. There's leftovers. Actually, I made
spaghetti last night, so spaghetti is But that reminds me
I should place a order here for something. Let me
(21:26):
do that, all right, let me close this other stuff down.
I'll share my screen and talk to you about bido.
I think in order to share my screen properly, I'm
gonna have to enable the obs and the obs virtual cam.
So let me do that. Start that virtual cam and
(21:48):
let me switch cameras. That went black? What happened?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
What happened?
Speaker 1 (22:01):
Stop virtual cam? Start virtual cam. Nope, didn't want to
do it. Touh h. What are we got? What do
we got? What's going on? I'm gonna go back to
this whoa. Let me stop that virtual cam. I don't
(22:26):
think it likes it when I turn the camera on
and off mid stream, so I guess I can't do that.
Let me take a screenshot. I'll do it that way.
So I use a site for Oh this is interesting.
(22:48):
Some of these stores are rolling out AI shopping assistance.
Let me ask it just a question that says, what
can I help you with today? What are you shopping for?
Speaker 4 (22:59):
It?
Speaker 1 (22:59):
So, I'm gonna say I want grocery items that I
love but haven't ordered for a while. See if you
can figure that out. See if it's dumb or not. Oh,
(23:26):
it crashed. That was too hard of a question for it.
That was stupid. Let me try that again. Let's see
groceery grocery items I love, love that I haven't ordered
(23:55):
in a while. All right, let's see if it crashes
again or not. While let's doing that, I'm gonna take
a screenshot of Bido here, two screenshots, and then I'll
share it. Yeah, this will be interesting because oh there's
(24:21):
a ding a sweet potatoes are done? All right, let
me do that. And then they go to the dividend. Okay,
this AI is giving me some ideas, but it's ideas
are crap. Basically, lettuce that has told me, so I'm
(24:43):
gonna thumbs down that that sucked. Yeah, so that shopping
AI is dumb, dumb as a rock. All right, let
me go to the dividend history on Bido. Oh wow,
(25:07):
so it's an upcoming dividend looks like, oh, I'm not
seeing it announced yet. The one that sent it to
me saying that it's going to be announced probably tomorrow,
but I don't see it yet, so I won't share that,
but I will share the screen the graphic that I
(25:29):
took a screenshot of. All right, let's make this full screen.
All right, this is bido. It's pro shares bitcoin edf
(25:52):
It's a little bit more complicated than that, but you
can see the one year return is actually down twenty percent,
which is interesting. But that does not take into account
the dividends, which are pretty high. So most of the
return on this or dividends, it was getting about a
five percent dividend per month. That's dropped significantly, I believe
(26:16):
it is. It dropped to one or two percent this
last month, but supposedly it's going to be up for
the next month. Anyways, it's pretty good. Check it out.
I'm gonna stop showing that elite.
Speaker 7 (26:41):
Where is this all?
Speaker 9 (26:43):
Before we went into lockdown, by clock came up to
me and said that historical mister Chinese people. After I
told him that I was Chinese factory for me, Eloisa
and I wrote a song based on that experience. So
this has about him and all the other previous a.
Speaker 7 (27:03):
Long time, long time.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
Oh my gosh, that's not appropriate. Whoa that was That
was a heck of a dub there. Oh man, I
gotta be careful what what I play without watching it first?
(27:31):
Oh man, those guys, alright, somna close that down?
Speaker 7 (27:43):
Ah?
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Where was I? Where was? I got distracted?
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Oh yeah, I'm not gonna do that right now.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Man, there we go. I am going to respond to
him in the live chat again. Hilarious. What happens if
(28:42):
I do this? Oh yeah, that was Sky and Jesse.
He said, nice hat, nice flag, boom, thank you sir?
All right, what do we got? What do we got?
Speaker 4 (29:04):
What do we got?
Speaker 1 (29:08):
So I took care of that. Oh yeah, there's something
else I was supposed to do. Mm hmmm mm hmmm.
Speaker 8 (29:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
I didn't get any responses. I sent some messages. Let
me ask him again.
Speaker 7 (29:44):
Mm hmmm m.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
I think that came in an email.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
I'm looking for.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
What is this?
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Whoa, there's a crazy video. It's like sharia law in Texas.
Not crazy things are happening in Texas. If you're in Texas,
you need to pay attention to what is going on
because you were going to lose the state of Texas
passing laws that political memes or illegal Sharia law in Texas. Man,
(30:56):
pay wake up Texans, wake up?
Speaker 4 (31:03):
What is this?
Speaker 1 (31:12):
H alright? Oh yeah, okay, I gotta sign out of
this Proton male account and going into another one.
Speaker 7 (31:30):
H m m.
Speaker 6 (31:41):
What is going on there?
Speaker 5 (31:43):
Take care of that.
Speaker 9 (31:46):
All.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
I'm gonna turn this uh live chat thinking off. There
we go. Oh, that'll teach me to try to log
into proton mail in Chrome. I used the Brave browser
(32:06):
all the time. It's much better. A jew is all right?
Speaker 2 (32:32):
What is this?
Speaker 1 (32:33):
I've got a bunch of June counter invites. Let me
take care of those first. Oh man, well, goodie through
iCloud No iCloud not if you use an Apple.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
You shouldn't.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
What happened there?
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yes, Fortunately, proton Calendar integrates with all the other calendars.
I believe it's just a little wonky. You can RCP
on the top instead of actually in the email itself.
So I'm gonna do that.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
Boom boom boom mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Oh what's this?
Speaker 4 (34:04):
We're all.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
