Speaker 2 (01:16):
Hello everybody, and welcome to Magical Journey Podcast. I am
your host, Daniel Ian Cahoun, and tonight, as always, we

paranormal is and what it does to bring about change

(01:39):
in our lives. So yeah, that's where we're going to
get to camp at tonight. Before we get started, I
do want to once again, first of all, thank Mystical

bring you guys to a whole new level of we

(02:46):
haven't touched this before in a sense because my guest
tonight is somebody who we have not talked to before
who has an incredible, incredible journey and mission, and I
feel like a story that we can all kind of
relate to, and it's a story and a journey of

(03:07):
growth and awakening. So, without further ado, I am going
to bring to the stage Derek Prescott. Hey, yeah, what
are you doing.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
I'm well, I'm well.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Thank you and thank you for that introduction, lovely, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Thank you for coming on tonight, because it's definitely been
one of those things where I have been waiting for
the opportunity to ask you on the show. You your
story is very inspirational, I think, and it's one that
I think a lot of people can gain not only

(03:49):
encouragement from that, they can learn quite a bit. So
before we get started with that, though, tell our folks
a little bit about who you are.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Well, that's a very good question. That is a very
good question. However, my name is Derek and I am
a mystic spiritual practitioner. I work within the realm of

(04:24):
the Fall, and also I am a devote to Odisha veneration.
I am also a born medium, psychic and a witchcraft practitioner.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
And yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Hi everybody, welcome, Oh, thank you, thank you. So one
of the first things that I can recall is probably
the most interesting memory that stands out to me the
most is whenever I had probably been about six seven,

(05:07):
eight years old maybe, and I recall having a dream
and I woke up out of it, and I ended
up going to my mom's bedroom. You know, my dad
was asleep, and my mom, you know, she like woke
up and she was like, I just crawl in, go

(05:29):
to you know, lay down.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Go to sleep. It's okay, you know.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
And I was like crawling in there, and I just
laid there and I just look up and I just
was in this state of like very intense awareness, right
like there was something, something that was just there, and
I could feel something trying to communicate with me on

(05:57):
a very interesting and a very interesting way. And I
recall this what appeared to be like a bunch of
orbi lights of different colors like red, orange, green, blue, purple, white,
and it just kind of like swirled in and was

(06:19):
like covering in a specific spot.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Just being there, and I recall.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Like asking it questions like are you know, can you
turn into a car?

Speaker 3 (06:35):
You know, like make it look like a car.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
And you know, one of those light bright toys that
they had back in the day where you stuck in
the little pegs and it lit up. But it was
a lot like that how it would display itself, and
eventually I got the sense, like after three or four
times of asking it to turn into multiple different things,

(07:00):
I could sense that it was like almost like I
don't have all day for this, you know, I have
to do this, and I have to get going, you know,
there's other things I gotta do. And I recall it
saying give me your hand, and I was like, okay.
So I reached my hand up and it felt like

(07:22):
it went into my hand, almost like water, but the
water became electric, you know. So it felt like electricity,
like it was shocking me almost but not in a
painful way, just in a very interesting way, kind of
like electricity coming up off of me or something. But

(07:43):
it felt like it was going in. I can't expend
it beyond that, but I do recall many times there
being people there that I could see that other people
couldn't see, and I recognized that as being like spirits.

(08:03):
And I can't tell whether if they're in my mind
and I see it, or if I'm seeing them and
the reflection of the image of them is reflected.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
In my mind's I you know.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
So that's what it kind of feels like sometimes. And
so I had this one neighbor I was about eight
nine somewhere around in there, and apparently he had passed away,
and he had come over there as a spirit and

(08:37):
literally said, go over to my house and go into
my top drawer and grab this little music.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Box back there.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
So I end up following his instructions and end up
getting in there. I was just a little kid, and
his daughter had asked me not to go in there,
but I went in there anyway. I was on a mission,
so I opened up that drawer. And about that time
I opened up that drawer, she's coming in there and

(09:09):
she's pulling me out of the room, and I said, no,
you have to get the you have to get the
music box. You have to get the music box. And
she's like, what music box are? Ain't nothing but pills
and papers in there. Because all of his pills, his
medication pills, and all of his like tax receipts and
everything else like that was up inside of that right there,

(09:32):
you know, in that little little drawer right there. Well,
I said, it's in the back.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
You have to open it up. It's in the back.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
So she opens it up halfway and she's looking and
she's like, I don't see it, and I said, it's
in there. You have to reach in there. So she
reaches behind this what looks up like a pamphlet or
something that was kind of blocking off the back behind it,
and there was a music box that he had given

(10:09):
her mom whenever they had gone on their first date, right,
and inside of it was the deed to the house
and their wedding bands.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Oh wow.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Yeah, And she had been looking for those wedding bands
for like at the time, like six seven years after
her mom had passed. Yeah, And so the dad didn't
remember where it was either, you know. He he was
always drinking his sorrows away, you know, because his left

(10:50):
his wife was his wife departed, you know, went to
the other side. So it just felt very it was
it was sad for him, you know. And but she
saw that, and I mean, she starts crying. Her sister
walks in and she's like, what's going on? And then
she's like, is that And then she starts crying. Everybody's crying,

(11:13):
and as they were all crying and hugging and sobbing,
I'm walking away.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
At the time, you know, I was like, all right,
I did my job.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
I did what I had to do. I'm gonna go now,
you know. So that's that was that was that was
a that was a good moment there. I didn't even
I didn't even understand what I was doing at the time.
You know, I was a little kid, you know. All
I knew was that this man asked me to go

(11:46):
tell her about this, and that was it. I wanted
to go outside, go play with my friends, you know,
That's what I wanted to do. I want to go
make mud pies.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
You know.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
That was that was my mission in life right there.
So as time progressed, I ended up fooling around a
little bit with the with the you know, other side.
You know, I started working more into the occult and

(12:20):
I started doing like spiritual investigations and you know, going
into old abandoned warehouses, you know, where there have been
like people that have like passed away and everything from
accidents about work or something, you know, and they ended
up having to close it down and all it left
is just a shell of what it once was and
it's abandoned.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Nobody's bought it, so.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
You know, you go in there and you just you
get a heavy sense of all the different energies that
had taken place there and the damage that was done
at the place. You know, like something snap, You hear
something snap, and then all of a sudden, something down
and crashes, and you end up looking at the spot

(13:03):
where it crashed, right, but nothing, nothing's there all It
is just an indent brack in the floor of where
it hit. But you could see it in that way,
you know, you can see how it all went down
like that, and so you there was a there was

(13:28):
a couple men there. One had passed somewhere in the sixties,
and then the one passed somewhere in the eighties. And
around that time they ended up having to shut it down.
And it had been up for sal since the early nineties, and.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Ain't nobody bought it.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
And nowadays they have it that it's already been all
turned over and redeveloped and everything like that nowadays.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
But I mean back in the.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Late nineties, yeah, man, or even in the in like
twenty ten, twenty eleven, yeah, two thousand from two thousand, yeah,
I would say twenty ten, twenty eleven, yeah, to two thousand,
and seven or twenty seven to twenty eleven. So yeah, yeah,

(14:19):
right around that time.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
It was crazy. Wow, crazy.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
So that had to be really impactful to to experience
those things.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Yeah, oh, very impactful. I mean, especially because you're you're
finding all of these spirits and a lot of them
are lost. You know, a lot of them are looking
for a way to elevate. They're looking for light. They
you know, they don't they don't they're not ready to

(14:52):
go in there yet because they're not sure what's on
the other side.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Past that, you know.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
And whenever they're here there they want to be alive
because they're familiar with this place, you know.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
So a lot of times we.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
As spirit is we we go around and we see them,
and you know, a lot of times this is random
spirits that are lost and in need of light and
and elevation and prayer. You know, a lot of times,
whenever you feel a spirit just just right up bond you,
sometimes it's like, please pray for me, please help me.

(15:32):
You know, it's asking for prayer and elevation so it
can elevate and move move forward, you know. So I
know a lot of times that happens with people. So
and I'm not sure if anybody here has had that
kind of experience before with a with a spirit that

(15:54):
just kind of jumps out at you.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Definitely, definitely thank you. I appreciate that. Yeah, well you
had some I would say we've had a few people
that's had those kinds of experiences before. Yeah, yeah, and
they're very The thing is, and I always tell people
that there are no coincidences when it comes to how

(16:24):
other other beings, other spiritual creatures react to you. Oh.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Absolutely, yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
They since light, They definitely since light.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
They definitely do. I know so many times I will
find like hordes of spirits coming through here, Yes, and
they're just looking for prayer, you know. And there's a
cemetery right up the road. You know, it's literally not
a block away from me, you know. So I mean

(17:01):
I go there on my walks, I'll walk around the
outer perimeter, but the whole time I'll be doing pairs
for light and elevation for those spirits that are there
with their families, you know, and I'll just speak to
their light, to their elevation and you It's weird too,

(17:23):
because it's almost like it opens up, like it opens
up the door a door is opened up, and it's
like it just they just all go, you know, they just.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
All go with it.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
It's it's wild, just how it how you see it.
And it's not like a door door. It's like a
portal type door like sidual or something. It looks like sigual,
just kind of a flat plane, you know, like this, Yeah,
and it's like over the specific area that it's in

(18:00):
and it's like they just all rise up, right, And
that's just how I see it now. But I'll be going,
I'll go around and I'll do that every time I
go for my walks, and I do it specifically because
I know that one it reduces the amount of traffic

(18:26):
that comes here to my space, yeah, because they're not
coming all the way here to my you know, to
my space, to my spiritual space, to my bovetta or
anything like that to find light in prayer. They're receiving
it right there with their family, you know, right, So
it's just easier for that elevation, that transition and that

(18:47):
sense of peace, you know, because that's really what helps
them elevate, is that sense of peace and acceptance.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
So exactly exactly, I think it's very important for us
to understand that, like I think so many of us
get bogged down with these these ideas that are kind
of like fostered in our brain that you know that
these people are trapped for our reason, and you know,

(19:17):
and and they have all these fears and blah blah blah,
and you know, we tend to gravitate towards those theologies
of kind of poor pitiful creatures or whatever. But we
what we are missing a lot of times, I think,

(19:39):
is the if you will, the ability to expound grace
through prayer, like you said, through being, through being the
intercessor if you will. At times, I think that's one
of the things. You know that that I mean, when
you're when you're in contact with these these spiritual beings,

(20:03):
you understand that that's kind of what they're asking for
intercession a lot of times. And I think a lot
of people are just like they're not open to that idea.
They don't they don't get it.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, yeah, And you know that's that's okay because you know,
what what I do, people like me and what we
do is it's not for everybody, you know, and I
mean it's for everyone, but not everyone's for it. You know.

(20:38):
That's That's really what it comes down to, is that,
because there's always going to have to be somebody who
can speak prayer upon the spirit, speak prayer upon the living,
you know, and speak that that spirit finds that elevation
and is able to overcome those mortal coils, those mortal concepts,

(21:01):
the things that hold us and bind us to the
physical world to that prevents our progress, you know, because
it's really truly what it's all about is personal spiritual
progress and trying to become the best version of ourselves,
you know, the best human it's carrying you could possibly
think of, you know, somebody who helps to bring a

(21:24):
sense of peace and understanding in the midst of all
the discourse and chaos, you know, the chaos of inside
the discourse, all those things. You know. So I know
there's a lot of fear around, you know, all these things,
you know, all these spiritual things. But really I think

(21:48):
that just comes from a space of just not understanding
what things are, you know. I think that a lot
of times we can, I guess you could say, fixate,
hyper fixate on an idea without any real substance to

(22:12):
form the artistry or the illustration of what it is.
That we're being presented. You know, we'll jump to conclusions
without having the full understanding or one size perspective experience,
and then we kind of feed into that.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
You know.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
So anytime somebody says that they had a specific experience
with a specific entity, and I'm just like, well, what
does that mean to you?

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Mm hm? You know mine? Where does that come from?

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Right?

Speaker 1 (22:55):
So I'll tell you this. When I was eighteen, maybe nineteen,
You'll love this one.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
I was. You'll all love this one.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
I was living with my grandparents, right, And it was
in this two story, four bedroom house, okay, two bathrooms,
had an upstairs game room, living room, and a downstairs
living room, kitchen, dining area, you know, and ah, what

(23:32):
is that a receiving area.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
So I was there by myself for like, I don't know,
it was like a week or so. My my grandparents
and my uncle had gone over to my other uncles
that lived over in Florida. You know, I'm over here
in Texas. So you know, they had gone over there

(23:58):
and stayed over there for like a week. I was
there by myself, and you know, my grandma she had
told me, she was just like she's like, don't don't
get don't get too weirded out, you know, if you
get scared or anything, just you know, you can always
just call me or whatever. And I was like, well,
why would I get scared? And she's like, uh, well,
there's some things about the house. You know, it's weird.

(24:20):
You know, it's a little uneven or something. And if
you just if you just get weirded out, just don't
worry about it, you know, just pray or call call Paul,
you know. And I was like, oh, okay, I was
just like whatever. But I had went to sleep. I
want to say this, like my second night there, when
I was by myself. I had just got off work

(24:42):
and I had went to I think it was a
Blockbuster at the time, because there was a Blockbuster over there,
and I had got some movies and I had went
to uh had plugged in a movie and I was
laying down and I had essentially like passed out. At
specific time, it was probably around like ten thirty eleven

(25:05):
thirty at night something like that, and because I had
been up since like six o'clock that morning, you know.
So yeah, and I worked a double and everything, so
it was a whole sit It was a whole deal,
but it was good. I ended up passing out and
I woke up probably like around five six o'clock that

(25:28):
following morning, and it was I remember because it was
the first time I had like woke up at round
that real early of a time, like that early specifically,
and I recall seeing the TV right and it was
still on. And then I was getting ready to like,

(25:50):
you know, rouse myself up enough to where I could
get up and go over there and turn the TV off.
Only whenever I was getting ready to move and get
up and go over there, the TV suddenly turns off.
But then I see a black shadow of a person
walking away from the TV towards the bedroom door.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah, goosebumps, right, yeah yeah, And it got me too,
And then so I was like interesting, right, So at
that time, I immediately like my mind started expanding, My consciousness
started expanding, and I was like psychically looking around everywhere.

(26:40):
And then all of a sudden, I come across a
little boy, and then I come across a woman, and
then I come across an elderly gentleman, you know, And
then there was like some real bad energy coming from
the garage upstairs loft area where there was like a
stairway that I was up there. But it's like a

(27:01):
very like a very you know, short step stair away,
and there is.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
Like a.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Like a beam, a support being for the head garage.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Right. But whenever I.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Go to walk, when I go to walk up there,
tell me why it is, I feel like something's trying
to kick me in the head.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
O God, because.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
The woman's boyfriend or ex or whatever was crazy and
apparently like himself wow up in the rafter of the
of that support beam right there. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,

(27:56):
so I and I I could still see I can
still see the jeans, the blue jeans that he's wearing.
It's like the light colored faded blue jeans. You know
that that kind of color where it almost looks gray,
you know, That's what it was. And it was like

(28:19):
that good type Wrangler denim type, you know, it was
like that Wrangler type. It was really interesting because I
could see it and it was just very it was
very intense. So ended up also seeing the little boy.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
He was like he was tucked away behind a.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Behind like a wall flat that was used to like
for storage, you know, and he was like tucked up
in there, and yeah, it was bad. It was pretty bad.
So I ended up ended up doing a olympia and

(29:13):
cleansing the house and doing prayer. And I asked for
this as for spirit to move through the house, to
cleanse out all the malicious energies, all the negative spirits
that are in need of light, that they would to
find light, find peace and to you know, and I
just prayed for everything, prayed over everything, and then I

(29:36):
started like cleaning everything at that point, you know, because
once you start doing things in the spiritual, you got
to start fermenting it in the physical, you know, you
got to make it a real thing so that a
way it's not just in the spirit, but in the
mind and then the body, you know.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
So.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
It becomes it becomes all the things that encompasses reality,
you know. So that's always really good.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
So yeah, let's see, Well.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
A lot of people like wishing Mike well he's not
in chat today because he's not feeling very well. I
always find it very interesting because, you know, your grandma's
response is so much like what all grandma's do. Like
our grandfolks are always like, you know, like the house
is a little off, but you know, it's okay. Just

(30:37):
and you're thinking to yourself, what is she trying to say?

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Right, And I'm just like, you know, I think she
I think the thing is is this when she got
back When they got back home, right, they they like
didn't even realize that sunky stuff wasn't happening anymore, you know,

(31:03):
And then they started talking about it had come up
in conversation. One of their one of their friends or
something like that, had asked about it because they had
spoken about it in the past, and then she had
ended up saying, oh, well, you know now she mentioned
it's been a long time since we had any kind
of activity, you know, and because it had been like

(31:27):
a year, almost a year and a half, you know,
she was like, it has been it's been a long
time since we had.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
In the activity.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
And her friend was like, huh, that's weird. She's like,
it just feels clean. It feels clean and clear around here,
not like how it was before where it felt distorted
and staticky and everything. Also it felt very open and
clean and clear. And I just like minded my own business.

(31:59):
I wasn't into like, no, nope, I had I was
building on my career, you know, my career life. I
wasn't trying to like be the mystic practitioner of the
twenty first century.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
You know.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
I was more concerned about what I could do to
make money money, you know, and I have so I
have several people that would ask me a lot of times, like,
you know, you can make a lot of money doing this,
and I was like, I could, but that's not what
this is for, you know, right, I was like, it's

(32:35):
just to help, It's just to make me a better
version of myself.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
And you know, the magic is the perk, you know.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
Definitely. Yeah, I think it's very important that people, you know,
because there's a lot of folks and we don't like
to think about it, we don't like to talk about
but a lot of folks are really in it time
for the money.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
I mean it really are.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Oh for sure, that is not.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
What any of this is really about, you know. And
this is one of the things I tell people all
the time, is like, if you're going to be if
you're going to go into spiritual practice or whatever you
want to do, that's great and find I'm wonderful, but
get your priorities together, get your you make sure that

(33:30):
you have your morals and your.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Location show you, I will tell you that's it right there. Yeah,
you know, And a lot of times, you know, because
I have people they ask me like, well, Derek, you
charge for your stuff. You charge seventy five dollars for
thirty minutes and mediumship. And I go yes, because I
need to buy the twenty two dollars flowers for my ancestors.

(33:58):
I need to go buy the six dollars bottle of
holy water for my spirits. I need to go buy
the seven dollars Florida water for myself and my spirits
and for my cleansings. After I get done talking with
everybody's felt the ass spirits.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
Yeah, well, I think that's one of the things that
people don't understand is that there's like there's this work
is not a clean work.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
It's not work.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Because there's a lot of hey, welcome home. There's a
lot of what you call it, there's just saying go ahead.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
The the it's just kind of there's a lot of
it's it's not really it's not really a work that
you walk away clean do Oh yeah, right, I mean
it's you know, it can be very missy.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Oh for sure.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
And the thing is it's like I've told that to
so many people, is that this is not like something
that you can just sit daintily on a pedestal and
just looking all pretty and everything. Like when it comes
down to like becoming the real ones, the ones that

(35:28):
like when push comes to real freaking shoves right because
somebody had done f around, they end up having to
find out, you know, they end up having to come
to me or my colleagues or my elders in order
to get it fixed because they can't go to the
round the mill witch talker or round the mill witchcraft

(35:50):
practitioner because they need real true mystic mystioso occult stuff
to regulate what's going on, you know, And that's never
easy for people to accept at all at all. That

(36:11):
is a very hard thing for people to accept. And
I'm just like, I mean, this is not a jab
at you. It just is what it is, you know, right,
you know, and it's like a need to accept reality
is very much required and all of that.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
So you know, I have I love.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
I love doing what I do, you know, myself personally,
I love doing what I do because the results are
always always just so amazing for people.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
You know, my mom's want to know what you're making.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Oh I am making I'm not to start making tacos. Yes,
I have to start making tacos, so I do a
pre seasoning sort of situation on my meat before I
really had my other stuff, which I really don't move odd.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
All this other stuff before I do anything else. But
it is.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Just about that time where I normally would make.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
Dinner.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
Here you got them all excited. Now they're loving the
idea of the tacos.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
Oh yeah, I've already got the the codia has already done.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Oh, I'm.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Gonna just make up this meat real good, trying this
buyer on a little bit.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
My folks, Okay, yeah, my folks don't get this kind
of entertainment very often where they're like actually getting to
know stuff and learn stuff and they're they're experiencing somebody
actually like doing the good stuff too. They're like, all right,

(38:31):
this is what we're here for.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Yeah. No, you guys love that.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
You guys are gonna want me to turn this into
a cooking show, aren't you.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
You know, I've had several several times where people have
asked me, please do more cooking videos. I love your
cooking videos, and I'm all like, I mean, okay, sure,
and then I'll do I'll do like a cooking video,
and then I'll also do like a cooking live and
they'll be like, what are you making today? I'll be

(39:05):
like spaghetti with meat balls, you know, and they're like, oh,
that sounds amazing, and I'm all like, it's just spaghetti,
I mean balls, bro, And They're like, but it sounds
like what are you doing? And I'm all like okay.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
And then.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
I'll be like I might make like bake.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Mashed potatoes and greens, you know, and everybody's just like
I want some or if I'm making cookies because I
make Grandma's cookies.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
Yeah wow, So.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
Yeah, everybody loves my cookies.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
So are you using flour or corn tortillas?

Speaker 3 (39:57):
The corn pertias? Of course?

Speaker 2 (40:01):
So there now you guys know right.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Yeah, the corn that's the that's the best. If you
want if you want the like the real authentic flavor
of that of of tacos, real tacos is corn. You
want corns, those are the bomb. And you do like

(40:26):
a little bit of vegetable oil instead of like a
non stick heated hand, get your little cork, get it
towards all nice and heat it up and then take
that put it on there. When it starts barking at you,
flip it over and it starts barking at you, flip
it over because then it's saying, hey, the other side
needs grease too, right, So.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Right, okay. Whenever I was whenever I was about.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
Oh gosh, I want to say about like eleven, I
had my first encounter with Nicks.

Speaker 3 (41:18):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Mm hm, that looks good. That's so good. She woke
me up, telling me like, in the darkest of nights,
only I can create light. But she was all like,
like I'm her and you're me. In the darkest of nights,

(41:42):
only you can create light. Right, And but just now
imagine that word, like it's just reverberating and echoing throughout
your whole body, like you could feel it all the
way down to your toes and the tip ap your nose,
like like where it's just like over since like over,
you know what I mean, Like you just got oversensitized,

(42:05):
you know. So that's that's what I was feeling, That's
what I was dealing with that at such a young age.
For one, and then I ended up hearing the name
Hekite in one of my dreams and then I ended

(42:25):
up doing research on Hekita.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
It was wild.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
Then I started having dreams of Hekita, and then she
started telling me that she was going to be one
of my guides.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
And then I was like, oh, okay, I don't even
know what's going on and why whatever what have you.
But okay, well I'll accept this right now because literal
freaking deity is just holding that they're going to do
this with me.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
Okay, I accept this.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
So as I started developing myself, I started learning firstly.

Speaker 3 (43:16):
About like.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
Herbs, wild life, plants, their spirits. I started familiarizing myself
with every spirit I could possibly get to know.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
You know, from the time I was.

Speaker 1 (43:29):
About eleven all the way until I was about like
seventeen eighteen, and I got like a pretty good relationship
built up with a lot of different spirits. By that time,
I started like really working heavily with of course my ancestors,
because they were they were there with me the whole time,
Like come on, boy, don't you know you gotta like

(43:51):
take the eggshells, you gotta dry them up, you gotta
clean them up, you gotta dry them up, and then
you gotta you know, you gotta do this with them.
You gotta grind them down, and I gotta take some salt.
You gotta add the core salt into the sea salt.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
All right.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
Now, you got to add some of your your onion powder.
Do a little bit of that, you know, grind it
all together, and then you know, mix it up, let it,
let it kind of sift out, and then just take
all that and you put it all together, get it
all wet, get it all in there. You know, like

(44:26):
there was like trying to get me to create things,
you know, so they and they do that a lot too,
even like cooking a lot of times. A lot of
times my spirits take over when I'm cooking, and I
will start cooking something I don't know the first thing

(44:47):
about what it is I'm cooking, not the first nor
the last thing. The only time I know what it
is is whenever it comes out and I'm just like, oh,
well that that's actually looks really good.

Speaker 3 (45:03):
It's wild how it happens.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
It's wild how it happens.

Speaker 3 (45:10):
And when it does, you don't ex.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
You don't necessarily like you don't you don't go into
it trying to make it happen. It just happens, you know, right,
It's just something that just happens. It just happens on you.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Sometimes those are the best things.

Speaker 1 (45:32):
Oh yeah, absolutely so. I've had several instances like that
that house right where I would walk into the kitchen
after just being inside of there, and all the cabinet

(45:55):
doors were all open, you know, and and all the
cabinet doors, all the pantry door was open, along with
the fridge. All the little drawers inside the fridge was open.
The fridge door put in close, you know, I had

(46:17):
to like put everything back inside, it all back in there.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
I was by myself and by myself the whole time.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
And I'm just like, if y'all don't stop playing around
with me, y'all gonna find out so fast and such
a bad way, and it's not gonna be funny. Like
I was like, if I had to close these doors
one more time, you're all getting evicted. I was not

(46:52):
playing with them in the slightest. I was not playing
with them because, you know, at nineteen, I had already
pretty much like developed my craft, uh you know, as
a practitioner dealing with spirits, you know, very heavily immersed in.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
You know, so.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
I I I have personally.

Speaker 3 (47:26):
Love it, love it, love it. So ask me what
what else? What else? You did? You have some other questions?

Speaker 1 (47:34):
So I'm gonna let you ask me some questions.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
So let's talk about that for a minute, and let's
let's talk a little bit of it. Share with us
some of your practice, because I think I think that's
very interesting and I like to hear. I would like
to hear more about about some of the things that

(47:58):
you when you talk about especially what that what what
are we saying here?

Speaker 1 (48:08):
Yeah, yes, is Spanish and it means witchcraft, right, but
this is more from that Latin American based witchcraft, not
necessarily the old folk magic that you would find like
on the round the mill streets, you know, here on TikTok,
or they're on TikTok, you know, not here on you know,

(48:30):
they're on TikTok or on social media for example. In general,
there would be it's some side of everything, and you know,
we deal with things like.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
Things you would and.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
You would think that was like really really dark fat juju.
You know, most people would look at it and be like,
that's death. No, that's this, that's that, you know, and
it's all like, no, that's protection. Oh no, that that
is war words of that. Now that's something that's this.
You know, it's just a different form of the craft

(49:10):
and so like. But it's heavy, it's heavy, it's real hard.
So you know, I am it was It was interesting
because as I started developing my craft and practice, you know,

(49:34):
I ended up getting more heavily immersed inside of witchcraft
and Hellenistic practices, got very heavily immersed with Hecate, got
very heavy with working with her, and it got so
much to the point where I ended up essentially becoming

(49:57):
one that she would just bring all her chldn too.
You know, everybody that is heck tay anything would come
to me. You know. It's been that way for years
now and it hasn't stopped, you know, and so and
I think it's because she knows that I'm very much

(50:17):
the type that I take great pride enjoy and helping
people find their path.

Speaker 3 (50:24):
You know.

Speaker 1 (50:25):
In fact, I swear by it. You know, it's my
name's sake on it, you know. So I'm gonna put
everything I got into it, you know, And it really
just based on the people. Are they ready for that?
You know, are they ready for that kind of commitment
to their life. You know, I would hope so myself,

(50:51):
I would hope that they was ready for the commitment
for their life, you know, making their life a little
bit better, right, definitely.

Speaker 3 (51:01):
You know. So that's my whole goal.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
You know, if you can come out of an experience
with me and your life be changed, but for the better.
I mean, boom, I did my job, you know, right right.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
I think it's very important for people to understand that
when we are gutting into trying to I could discover
who were what we are, that the people that we
turn to, the people that you know, we're there for guidance.

(51:44):
I think when when that moment comes, a moment of clarity,
that it's a significant thing. It's a significant change in
the life of the person who you've gone to. I
do want to point out to you that, like I guess,

(52:06):
one of my mods is doing actually on Saturday at
twelve thirty as an episode lessons from Hecata my experience
with the goodness of Witchcraft and the Crossroads. I want
to see that. I want to experience that that sounds

(52:27):
I don't know them.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
I would love to be there.

Speaker 1 (52:33):
I know.

Speaker 3 (52:35):
Seles is.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
No. I know she does because I don't spend enough
time doing spell work anymore, and I definitely don't spend
enough time talking about her. And you know, but I mean,
like I have a lot of be it tes I
work with. Now you know, it's not her fault, you know,

(53:00):
but right right, definitely, no, she knows my love is there.
Though she knows it is, it's pretty solid. Most days
I can't tell where she ends, and I begin, oh, yeah,
those days, right.

Speaker 2 (53:24):
My mods want this to become a thing. They like,
they're going to turn this into a cooking show before
a paranormal cooking show, before it's over. Where I feel
this coming.

Speaker 1 (53:37):
Well, let me just say I am very good at that.
That might be my niche the kitchen Witch, like stories
with it with Derek the Kitchen Witch.

Speaker 3 (53:51):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (53:52):
I love it, hey, I mean get it where you can, right,
I mean that's really where it comes down to. Whenever
you're making like content, you know, anything like that really
comes down to it might be very much something that
you just do and nobody else would even think like,
oh that's very engaging, that's very cool, because you know

(54:15):
he's talking with you, he's teaching you. And he's entertaining
you with a with a with a view of what
he's making there, you know.

Speaker 3 (54:24):
So yeah, I could see.

Speaker 2 (54:26):
That, Denise says, yes, but we need the ingredients.

Speaker 1 (54:33):
Oh so a pound and a half of beef ground
beef eighty twenty is your is your specialty line there,
And you've got course, you got coarse salt and black pepper.
You wanted a pretty much.

Speaker 3 (54:48):
A medium low grind, right.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
Then you want a garlic and onion powder, a little
dash of Billy slight dash of cayenne pepper for that
little kick, some smoke proprika okay, and then some kumons,
and then you're gonna take you just a little bit.

(55:16):
I'm gonna do me in a little bit of this
body of taco seasoning and you're gonna put it in
there too, along with some I have like a kind
of like a seasoning mix, like Tacto seasoning mix that
I like to put together. And honestly, you don't need
nothing more than like a couple of tablespoons to every

(55:39):
and a half, because anything more than that and it's
gonna probably overpower your whole meal, quite honestly.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
But I like it a little a little spicy.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
Yeah, they're actually asking what we're having next week. You
guys are so bad.

Speaker 1 (56:02):
Then I could talk about food all day, honestly.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
I hate that's well, I mean, that's part of the thing.
I think a lot of us when we when we
talk about the paranormal, when we talk about our experiences,
and we don't always get into the fun part of it,
where where we and we talk about how we enjoy

(56:28):
the things in life that bring us, bring us fulfillment,
bring us. Since graphification, you know, food being part of it.
I love food, don't get me wrong, guys. When I
go on a paranormal investigation, and what I eat, what
I sometimes, what the the places I go to and

(56:50):
so forth all have an impact on all that. So
during your time I am of growing up and experiencing
these things. Obviously a lot of these experiences had impact
on who you would eventually become, your thought processes, your

(57:14):
idea of life and death. So tell us a little
bit about that.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
So you know, I've found that a lot of my
processes continuously evolve, even more so now, and it seems
to continuously do so as I grow and as I
learn more. But that's so where I'm at now and
as I see how all these experiences have impacted my

(57:45):
life and for the better, is that? I mean, there's
always a rule of thumb with this.

Speaker 3 (57:53):
You know. You have to.

Speaker 1 (57:58):
You have to conduct yourself and you have to raise
yourself in a way that is going to be of
good character, you know, Like, don't do something that you
can't not go to sleep with, you know, and think
about the reasons behind why you do anything that ends

(58:18):
up bringing you glory. Did you do it because it
was bringing you glory?

Speaker 3 (58:22):
Or was it because it was just the right thing
to do? And you want nothing to.

Speaker 1 (58:25):
Do with the glory, right, you know, Like what was
your purpose in that?

Speaker 3 (58:33):
You know?

Speaker 1 (58:33):
And I think once we once we discover that our
actions don't tell the story quite nearly as much as
the motive behind our actions, you know, because that's going
to be the thing that really is the driving force

(58:54):
of what guides you as a person. You know. We
can put on air and we can pretend to be
who it is that we think society wants us to be,
you know, but that doesn't last, right, Eventually you return

(59:19):
back to yourself, your base, who you are as a person.

Speaker 3 (59:27):
You know.

Speaker 1 (59:29):
So I think It's also important to remember that, you know,
we all.

Speaker 3 (59:40):
Are going to be.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
Going through more and more as time progresses, because when
we learn about these things, you can get a bit
of an ego to learn that you end up doing
becomes more introspective, and once ever, you become a lot

(01:00:07):
more introspective and you start lining yourself up internally.

Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
You have no idea.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
How razy the connection gets with the other side right right,
It makes it to where you because you start becoming
very finely attuned to what is right, the energy that's

(01:00:36):
right and flowing. You know, what you feel is good
in life, giving and prosperous. It's an energetic flow like
a river, a current in the river. You know you're
going to flow in with that current because it's going
to be the driving force that you're going to be
pulled to, you know, prosperity, abundance, good health and good

(01:00:58):
long life and.

Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
All these things. You know, so.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
Whenever you start getting to the point where you start
feeling that the energy is off, you can start picking
up on it and you're just like, oh, this is
what's going on. Okay, I need to do something to
move this back into place. Because somebody stepped outside their lane,
you know, So definitely definitely important to remember. Like I myself,

(01:01:33):
I'm not doing anything outside of my means. You know,
a lot of practitioners are doing a lot of things
outside their means, you know, and it's throwing the balance
all off, you know. So what happens is people like
myself and people like my elders, we put things back

(01:01:55):
into balance as we progress forward, and we're just creating
this long chain that goes all the way around, and
it's like we're correcting the imbalances as we get closer
and closer to filling it all in, you know. So
as time progresses, we'll start noticing that this that spirit

(01:02:17):
is starting.

Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
To balance back out.

Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
We'll start seeing more peace, prosperity, good health.

Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
Long life for everybody. You know, right now, everybody is
finicky about.

Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
Money, money, money, money, money, money. They got to have
all the money. The more money they make, the more
money they want, right you know. The more money they have,
the more money they need, you know. And they won't
they won't, they won't yield to what's what all this

(01:02:52):
is for. They won't yield to it because it's making
them money right now. But I've met this in the
video before saying you don't know the spiritual debt you
can accrue, you know, spiritual debt with the ancestors. And

(01:03:13):
you know they're not vetting their ancestors, right, you know,
they're not venerating. You know that they're not praying. You
know that they're not cleansing. You know that they're not
doing these things. And ninety nine percent of the people
that are out there on social media are finding that
it's really hard to find practitioners that know what they're doing.

Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
I have one new student in reiki that just had
to apparently reschedule because something come up. And I told them, hey,
that's not a problem, you know, because I'm always going

(01:03:53):
to be here. I've been here, I've been on social
media for twelve fifteen years now tech I'm still going
to be here ten twelve years from now, you know.
So I told them, you know where I'm at, whenever
you're ready for it, you know, right.

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
I'd rather have health than money. The only way is that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
Hey, there you go, there you go, exactly that, right.

Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
So, yeah, I feel like a lot of times we
tend to we tend to grasp for things that are
not necessary in our lives and you know, and like
you said, the spiritual debt that you incur from that

(01:04:44):
is monumental. As we begin to wrap up tonight, one
of the things that I always try to do is
to get a final thought for my guess. So give us,
give us some insight here, give us a final thought
tonight that can we can kind of take home and

(01:05:08):
bask on.

Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
Mm hm. Remember that everyone is you, Everyone is you.
We are all the same, We all are part of
the same spark, right, and recognize that the people that

(01:05:36):
you love, the people that you like, the people that
you dislike, the people that you hate. Hmm, all those
people are also you. They went through something, they're going
through something that has nothing to define you. What the

(01:06:00):
I go through is not some It is not a
symptom of you. So remember to give yourself grace and
give that person grace.

Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
Yes, and it all will be wealth.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
That is very true, very true. Indeed, one of the
things that somebody just ask you is what is your
favorite thing about your practice? I do want you to
answer the hep before we close out.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
M hm. So, So the favorite thing I have about
my practice is that I feel facilitated. I feel grounded
and rooted and what's real. I feel connected to my

(01:07:02):
destiny and who I'm going to be and who I'm
supposed to be. I feel like I have a roadmap
to life.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:07:13):
That's what I love about my practice is that one
following my practice keeps me out of trouble. Two it
lines me up and elevates me my consciousness to elevated
spirits that can guide me more effectively to becoming a

(01:07:34):
better spiritual practice practitioner.

Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:07:39):
The other thing I'll say is that when there are those,
and there are those that you will come across whenever
you're doing these things, you're getting involved with these things,
they will try and test your boundaries. They will try
and test your your capabilities, your words, your everything, and

(01:08:04):
they want you to be affected somehow, some way, because
then it proves to them that they themselves are capable,
right right, because they need that validation. I tell people, one,

(01:08:24):
if you're doing anything bad, you should.

Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
Probably go get a seca e vow.

Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
Because why are you trying to make other people's life miserable?

Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
And what's wrong with your.

Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
Life that you feel that you have no power in
your life and you need to make other people's life,
miserable to lessen the you know, hurt within yourself that
you're feeling, you know, and then I would be like,
why not focus on something like a blessing for somebody?
You know, Blessings are a lot harder for people to

(01:08:59):
accept because are still wondering how they're even blessed enough
to get the money that they get, or you know,
the joy that they feel in that moment or the
next moment.

Speaker 3 (01:09:10):
You know, the meal.

Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
Some people are just so thankful that they got a
meal to have at night, you know. So I think
I think knowing what you pour your energy into and
what you should pour your energy into is also very important.

Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
Yes, very much, very much. I agree with you. Yeah,
show gratitude exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Gratitude's the most powerful is actually the it's the highest
frequency gratitude really fency, it.

Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
Really is mm hmm and definitely something that we need
to put more emphasis in our lives. Then, I so
appreciate you coming on tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:10:11):
It really like my folks have not been this this
excited about the show in a minute now. They were
like all over the place tonight, so and I mean
even getting requested. Definitely have you back which we will

(01:10:32):
if you, if you will.

Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
End time for min I'm going to close this out
and I will be right back with you for before
we in the night. All right, awesome, thank you, yes, yes,
all right, guys, thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank
you to Derek for coming on. This was an amazing show.

(01:11:00):
I love hearing personal experiences. I love hearing people discuss
how those experiences expand their lives and expand how they
interact with other people's lives, and I feel like you know,
at the end of the day, that's really what we

(01:11:20):
need to reach for in our lives. So thank you,
Thank you again for being so supportive to the show
and make your journey always be magical.

Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
Way did so long to see when you come back
to me through the walls and battles that were lost,
we're all again. It's you and me. The rest is history.
Lassies pass size.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
If we danced together in different fast fifteen hundreds, I
do how to it end? For we must still the
level we must have suffered in our past life.
