Enjoy all right everyone, if you could please turn.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
You page one of your written exams. You may begin
as bo enders an iris sit down to join the
four remedial students at the Malificarnam to begin their written exam.
(01:23):
Usually join this extremely prestigious school. You open up the
test booklets and there's a slight disconnect for a second,
because when you see the words on the page, I
(01:43):
can't remember how many times any of you have actually
read anything in the world, aside from the scrolls of communication.
She views this is again. It seems to be a
different language. It's written to differently, it looks different, but
(02:03):
you understand it. And there's a disconnect here for a second,
as you've realized that it's not English. And you're seeing
the words, but you understand them. You open the book
up and it's a little bit like it's not quite
(02:24):
like an American standardized test. We have these tests here
called Scantron's, which are like multiple choice and this is
more like a small, thin book that's written here. It's
not like mass produced or anything. These are like almost
(02:46):
like properly stitched and bound books that are in here.
The book is probably about thirty pages long, and you
can see that these are immediately not simple questions. These
are complicated questions with lots of written responses and things
(03:10):
that you have before you. This isn't a multiple choice exam.
This is like essays about each of these problems. You're
presented with various kinds of magical problems. As you begin
to open up the book and you all begin bo
I just wanted to be clear. I couldn't remember exactly
(03:31):
where we left off with you. Were you participating in
this or not?
Speaker 3 (03:36):
I am I always is familiar. So I'm like, you
know a bat or a cat or well, I'm a slime,
but I'm here because you know which is need that right?
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Sure, you're my Salem to my Sabrina bo zoon.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Tight regardless, there is a book that is here for you,
like you're sitting next to Iris atop this desk, so
there is a book specifically here for you for our audience.
You can see on the screen roughly where everyone is positioned.
(04:15):
We have Wallhan and Todg in the back, Dicker on
the in the middle area of these desks. Percy and
Enders are sitting at the same desk and Iris and
Bow are sitting in the front. As you begin to
start with your tests and whatnot, Iris, Iris, and Enders,
(04:44):
you have gone partial successes on your studying. Iris almost
was fully prepared for the exam. Enders, things started to
get a littlevoluted. This is a lot of information to
try and cram in the day before and bo nothing.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Really stuck for you, soybody sticky.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
As you begin to take this test, you can hear
some like groaning from some of the remedial students. As
you're taking this test, Enders, Percy is next to you,
and there's a lot of hand ringing, Oh well, this
is really hard, and she seems very worried. She's trying
(05:32):
to respond to some of these questions, but you can
hear her mumbling and talking a bit nervously. Throughout the
course of that she breaks she breaks like her her
her pen like several times, and uh, you know, she
spills the ink on the floor like there's just a catastrophe.
(05:52):
Every few minutes, something goes wrong. As Percy is trying
to work on her exam, Waalhin is behind you, and
he's also kind of making some wow, I don't know
anything about this. Oh no, oh, lots of questionable uh
(06:17):
out loud thoughts from Hall from walhand behind you. Tog
is periodically dozing off in the very back. Uh. There's
also some kind of weird It looks like some kind
of paper mache construct of some kind sort of bird
(06:38):
like that he has on the seat next to him.
It just kind of like sat there. It looks it
almost looks like if you took a dragon and a
like a vulture and you smashed them together and did
(06:59):
it badly. It sort of looks like some kind of
paper mache construct that a child would put together for
their like first sort of sculpture class in art school. Dicker,
on the other hand, is looking rather calm in between
(07:20):
Tog and Iris sitting behind you. Iris, and you can
hear this sound from behind you.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
You know, that's that thing that smart kids do in
class when they're really really focused on their test, but
everybody thinks that they're trying to hide the answers from
everyone else. How they're hunched over and they're like, that's iris.
Right now, she's hunched over her work and nothing is
getting through to her.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
She wants to ace this test. Okay, fair enough, Yet
still this PSH persists. You do nothing? No, maybe like
a minute later, small piece of paper lands right next
(08:12):
to you.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
You can.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Are the desks like do they have you know how
in school typically they would have the inserts, like a little.
Speaker 6 (08:30):
Space to put stuff.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Oh yeah, is there like a drawer effectively in these desks?
I imagine that there probably is. These are These are
closer to like administrative desks. They don't have like those
little tiny school desks. These are like lab desks that
you'd see maybe like in a college or something.
Speaker 6 (08:51):
I really don't want to be distracted right now. I
look over.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Am I able to see anything that they've written.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
On the note? It's a crumpled up It's like a ball.
It's like a crumpled up piece of paper. It's small.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
I swatted away I'm not getting in trouble today.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
We'll come on here behind you. Fine. Then the audience
sees Dicker uh sort of looking around, yawning, like really
(09:31):
obviously trying to look around the rest of the classroom
to see if anybody knows what they're doing aside from Irish.
He like leans back, tries to take a peek at
Hog's paper tog is. Meanwhile, his head is lulled back.
(09:53):
Dicker gets scared, leans forward. Am I going to do?
Speaker 7 (10:00):
No?
Speaker 1 (10:02):
He starts to casually scooch his chair.
Speaker 8 (10:05):
Hm hm.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Hm right, Oh, sorry, professor, I've got a really squeaky chair.
I don't know what is wrong with it, but I
think it needs to be oiled or something. Complete your test, Dicker, oh, coarse, professor,
(10:31):
I'm doing very well. I hope you know.
Speaker 5 (10:34):
Be quiet.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Sorry. He's trying very surreptitiously to scooch his chair over
to the to the other side of his desk, and
he's sweating profusely. Now at this point he's glistening. He's
trying really hard not to be seen as he's scooching
(10:58):
his chair. I'm gonna roll for it. I definitely rolled
better than Dicker ever. Has, and uh, yeah, he does.
So he moves himself to the other side of the desk,
seemingly without much noise. As he does, uh, he gets
(11:18):
a little bit closer to Percy's paper. Now he's moved
over to the other side, and Percy is sort of
furiously working, and he says, shut up.
Speaker 9 (11:42):
Do you want Dicker?
Speaker 5 (11:46):
Sae, that's my name? What do you want? Stopping so mean?
Speaker 10 (11:55):
Part of the same group?
Speaker 1 (11:59):
You one of the fabulous three I.
Speaker 8 (12:03):
Told George and what the name?
Speaker 10 (12:10):
Share the wealth?
Speaker 5 (12:13):
I'm not kidding.
Speaker 10 (12:15):
Just do it. These questions are really hard.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
You're supposed to be really good at this, Percy.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
No, boy, you.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Know, I'm just going to keep bothering you. A She
lifts her arm up just a little bit. There's a
giant smile, a shittyating grin on Dicker's face as he
begins to like copy what Percy has on her page. Meanwhile,
Iris enders in bo bo, Are you actually trying to
(12:56):
accomplish anything here?
Speaker 3 (12:59):
You'll have to disc I have the scene in front
of me. What do I see? What do I see?
What do I see?
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Well, you're on top, You're basically on the on the
same desk as Iris. Iris is doing that thing where
she's sort of blocking like it was, she's put walls
down around her paper in her own world. Yeah, her
hair is like flopped onto the page a little bit,
and she's looking in the coll concentration mode. And you're there,
(13:24):
you have your own test booklet, but you're just kind
of doing what are you ignoring it? Are you trying
to take the test yourself? What are you doing?
Speaker 6 (13:31):
M m.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
I look at the paper. I examine it. It's wait,
it's heft, it's taste.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Mm hmm. Oh, it's good quality. This is the good stuff.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Ooh, this is parch oh proper punishment. You say, oh, yes,
what's the vintage.
Speaker 10 (13:55):
I joke.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
I think, I hmmm, I think. I try. I guess
after a lot of strain, you start to see that
I manifest on me again, and I lose a photo
of my hit points doing so, and I open the
(14:21):
book and try and answer the questions.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Okay, now you were using an ability to do this
mm hmm. Okay, well, I.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Mean it's not necessarily an ability. It's innate. You see
as a slime. Okay, And in that case, I I
shove a suitor pod into the air and wave it
up and down towards the invigilator. I'm sorry to the
what the invigilator, the person who's watching us take the exam?
Speaker 1 (14:51):
The invigilator sounds like a failed Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. I
have never heard that word in my life.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Wow mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Okay, yes, I imagine the professor occasionally looks up here
and there and it's just yes, can.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
I here's this? What are you pointing to my exam paper?
That's what it helps there for I need help reading it.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
You can't read?
Speaker 8 (15:34):
Well?
Speaker 3 (15:34):
I mean I can read, but I mean it takes.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yes, yes, you can't read, or it takes a yes,
I can read with help? What sort of help?
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Well, I mean not as I am now, but if
you were to shift, maybe perhaps I could.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Just fit it out.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
I try and use acro amorphous and transform into world.
Get the eyes so I can read like this.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Yes, he has very poor vision unless he is in
this form.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Fine, Okay, what does it look like as you do this?
Speaker 9 (16:32):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Do you know just the normal you know, non plus face.
I have a kind of coalesces to the center, like
a little you know, Whirlpool user marky kind of thing.
It goes white, and then in the center it becomes
like a black pupil and it's just like you know,
like Mike Wazowski, but without arms and legs, and he's blue.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Okay, a big eyeball mm hmm, fair enough, yeah, dicker
behind you. Oh it's revolting. Thank you, And I think
as you all tuck into this test here, it's time
for some roles. Please reset your failures and successes, and uh,
(17:20):
it's time to find out how well you do on
this written test. Iris. You are going to start with
three successes. Enders, you are going to start with two successes,
and bo you start with none.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Oh okay, okay, way too much joy in saying that, uh.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
There was there was some joy. I'm not gonna lie, okay, So,
uh it's time to do some roles. We're going to
do some roles here. It's gonna be a variety of
different roles as you are presented with various questions. This
is mostly again like essay format, and there are various
(18:09):
problems that you are presented with in this book. It's
sort of along the lines of like a scene is
painted and it's like how do you handle it with magic?
And then there's like explain your work. Right, It's like, Okay,
I'm going to try and commune with the spirits or whatever,
you know, and you're trying to explain your step by
(18:31):
step process for how you do that and what you estimate.
The man of costs will be the mind point costs
and all that kind of stuff, and your logic and
your reasoning. There's little little mini essays for all of these.
So we're gonna do a series of roles and these
are individual roles, no group roles here. And I'm also
(18:54):
going to roll for the side questers. We're gonna do
those in the background because I'm very're curious to see
how those are gonna go. Yeah, okay, so first role
is going to be a problem that is related to
It looks like it's related to a series of magical
(19:19):
disasters that have occurred. It is effectively like a village
that you have entered and you can see that there's
various disasters that are happening in this village and you
have to figure out the source of these disasters and
potentially how to save the villagers. Okay, So this role
(19:43):
will be insight, and it's going to be insight and
might and this is an open check.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Oh, I ruled an eight.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
I I don't even know if lucky seven will come
in handy here mmmmmm, I'll stick with the four for now, Okay,
all right.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
The difficulty of this question was a ten. Enders. You
can add one success to your failures and successes same
numbers by the way, three failures and six successes. Okay,
so Bo and Iris, that's one fail for you. The
(20:50):
next question is related to uh, this is going to
be effectively like a monster or hunting scenario.
Speaker 9 (21:02):
There is.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Evidence of like some kind of magical creature that has
been uh, basically a problem for like a local business. Okay,
they they are a mining company and inside this uh,
(21:25):
inside this mine, there is evidence of some kind of
magical creature that has it seems to be consuming the
minerals that they are trying to mine. And this question
will be this question will be dexterity and.
Speaker 10 (21:45):
Uh what did I do with it?
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Dexterity and insight? Open checks twelve ten okay, Uh. Difficulty
for this question is also a ten.
Speaker 10 (22:08):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
Iris and Bo you get the success and hers you
get one.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Fan there's five more of those? Please you got? This
is she talking to herself.
Speaker 8 (22:34):
Who knows.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Wow. Okay, that's hilarious. Okay, Uh sorry, I need to
make note of the side questers.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Okay, Doug is azing it on already.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
He's not doing bad. I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 11 (23:02):
Uh okay, okay, hilarious.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Uh okay. Next question, uh, is seems to be about
It seems to be about uh managing mana and like
trying to conserve mana for what appears to be like
a survival situation. This will be a might and willpower
(23:46):
role open check.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
I'm gonna go ahead and replace that one with a
seven using lucky seven, so that would.
Speaker 12 (23:59):
Be a twelve.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Okay, Uh, very nice. Okay, So Iris, you have uh
just succeeded. This question is another ten difficulty. Iris, a
success enters another fail bo you get two successes with
(24:24):
a crib.
Speaker 9 (24:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Would you what would you like to use to try
and reroll this?
Speaker 10 (24:33):
Uh my identity of warrior Mage.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah. I think I think we can absolutely do that. Sure,
I just want to reroll one of the Okay, you're
rerolling the three?
Speaker 10 (24:46):
Yes? Um, how did I do that? I see?
Speaker 1 (24:52):
If you write click on the entry, you should be
able to do it that way. Right click on your
open check.
Speaker 10 (25:00):
Going to roll the three though, is the question?
Speaker 1 (25:03):
So I don't know as the GM, I know you
guys have done it. Does it give you a pop
up to choose here?
Speaker 10 (25:07):
It is?
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Yes, Oh, very nice, So you can add a success
as well there enders very nice. Okay. Another question, This
(25:28):
one is going to be related to. I think this
one's going to be related to probably some kind of manipulation.
This is in regards to some kind of confrontation that
is occurring, and you are brought in essentially as like peacekeepers,
(25:49):
but you kind of are needed to use magic in
some way to influence the situation. So that could be
like some kind of mind and spell or something along
those lines, or it could be some kind of some
kind of interpretive way to convince people using magic about
(26:15):
the situation and how you can sort of de escalate
the confrontation that is happening. And this one will be
insight in willpower, I think, just for.
Speaker 13 (26:34):
The sake of I don't know what the difficulty is,
I'm going to use my fabula point to reroll that one,
and I'm going to invoke my trait of inquisitive.
Speaker 6 (26:46):
This is right up my alley.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
M okay.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Also, it has to do with spiritism anyway, So if
we like, you can embold in and affect people using spiritism.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
So if you want to use the priest's one, we can.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
I think I think that one's probably closer in this case.
Speaker 8 (27:03):
Okay eighteen.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Damn okay, uh Iris, I think you're past the success requirements.
You've filled up your success wheel your clock with two
successes on this. Very nice. Okay, let's see uh enders
(27:35):
and bow you both fail this one. Okay. So as
you're taking this test, this is we're past like an
hour and a half now, like this is a long test,
lots of essay questions. These are complicated problems, and you
(27:56):
can hear the like the other people in the room,
like this is Dicker has gotten up to use the
bathroom like six times. Or as the course of this,
Oh it has to do with I have I have
this recurring problem with my bladder. It's it's very painful.
(28:18):
Oh it calls whenever I'm forced to sit down for
this long.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
I don't care, Dicker, figure it out. You're in the
middle of a test.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Oh, I just don't want to cause a mess here.
The last thing I want to do is just you know,
dirty your classroom, professor, The last thing I want to
do is is cause any sort of trouble. He every
time he's like whining and moaning, he takes a second
to try and glance at everybody's paper. You know, he's
(28:49):
he's being like he thinks he's being really clever with everything,
and he's just being outright ridiculous and in his attempts
to copy people's information us pieces of paper. So he
returns from the bathroom this time, and you can see
like as he does, there's probably like there's probably like
(29:13):
the audience would see there's some stuff like written on
his hand, like he's clearly deposited some sheet sheet in
the bathroom, and he keeps going back to check it,
and all.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
This noise going on. All you can hear from Iris
is my nostrils are flared. I'm really trying to focus.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Sure, Okay, next question has to do with this is
probably I think this is going to be something along
the lines of like a magical artifact has malfunctioned, and
you can see like this could be like potentially like
(29:57):
an explosion is about to happen if this magical artifact
isn't fixed or dealt with in some way and you
have to sort of figure out what to do in
this scenario. So I'm gonna say this one is going
to be probably dex and Insight. IRIS. You can still
you can still roll.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Yeah, so we're at seven successes. You said dex and
insight Insight yep, eleven.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Can I have a win?
Speaker 10 (30:30):
I'm want to re roll. That's on the last five
of the point.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Okay, I mean to do that.
Speaker 10 (30:42):
I'm doing. There we go. Let's see.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Okay, whoa seventeen from Enders? Okay, Iris, this is going
to be a fail within eleven. Okay, bo, you get
another fail, Enders, you get a success.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
That's three fails for me. I eat my paper.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
It's slowly been dissolving this whole time, like just trying
to take trying to take it seriously, and you're like, oh,
you can realize like a hole has been spreading out
from the sunder. Okay, very well, and again you can
still keep going, by the way, if you want to
take note of successes and fails here, you can still
(31:49):
do that. There might be something that happens.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Next question is going to be in regards to the
care of what appears to be a dragon. This is yes.
This is in regards to basically trying to diagnose a
magical malady of a dragon. And uh, this one is
(32:21):
going to be this one is going to be dex
and willpower.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Full.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Okay, iris and bow that's another fail. Enders that is
a success.
Speaker 10 (32:43):
I have little my lak.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
Okay. After two hours pass of taking this exam, the
professor says.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
All right, everyone, put your pens down.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
And as you hear this, you can hear like some
few furious like tog there's like one of those anime
snot bubbles that's been like blowing up while he's sleeping,
you know, he like he leans forward in the chair
and you hear like furious scribbling on the paper and
probably like Percy's like like scream like silently screaming like
(33:21):
as he's trying to fill in the last answer on
the page. And Dicker is just leaning back. He's got
his hands behind his head. He looks totally calm and yeah, uh,
professor says, pens down please. Professor Dross begins to move
(33:43):
around and collect the papers. Dicker says, I don't know
about you, but I think I did spectacularly. How about
the rest of you? Bob says, are you challenging me?
Speaker 14 (33:57):
I definitely do better than you.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Oh, we'll see about that. Taggie, I don't know, how
about you. Percy just flop sweat her like her hair
is plastered to her body, just sweating like all her
like any makeup she had on is sort of running
with the sweat, and Walhint says I did okay, I
(34:22):
don't know.
Speaker 15 (34:22):
I struggled a little bit on question number three.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
I don't know, and Dicker says, I think I haste it.
I think I got a perfect score. Don't You don't
even have to look at my paper, Professor, you can
just MARKT one hundred. It'll save everybody some time.
Speaker 8 (34:42):
Can I sense whether.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Or not just by the way he's speaking, he's bullshitting through.
Speaker 6 (34:46):
His freaking teeth.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Yeah, the inside check. Anybody that wants to do it
can make an inside check.
Speaker 10 (34:52):
Here.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
This will be uh, this will be difficulty ten.
Speaker 6 (35:01):
Sixteen success.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Actually, I'm gonna use my lucky seven here to take
that seven and put a one.
Speaker 6 (35:06):
So it's a ten.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Okay, good plan, good plan.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
I'm gonna need it later. I have no fabulous points.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Is IRUs the only one that cares about to assume.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Okay, Amonio Bow would necessarily pick it up.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Yep, fair enough, Okay, uh yeah, iris uh, he thinks
he's he thinks he's got it in the bag. Oh yeah,
he's being honest.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
I'm surprised judging by the fact that he tried to
chee off of me, But I'll kind of tilt my
head and go, yeah, I think.
Speaker 5 (35:38):
I did all right as well.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Professor collects the papers and she says, you'll have.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
A fifteen minute break while I look over these, use
the restroom or get some snack, whatever.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Can I kind of more papers? I'm sorry you said snack.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
You're eating the pages. She begins to look through and
she sees this giant hole in one of the hand ins.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
Not intentionally, but you know that that that that it happened,
And I was, okay, why not? Then I let it happen,
you know what? But I kind of think that maybe
perhaps i'd like some more, just to make sure I
liked it or not. I'm not too sure. You know,
new things, new places, new taste, Am I right? My slimate,
(36:39):
my homework.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
She takes the paper invisibly like looks at you and
just tears it up. No, you didn't even check because
half of it was missing.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
I could have passed with the first time.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Not enough, oh.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
Fifty, not a pass here? Okay, well I'm a familiar anyway.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
That would have been valuable to know. She looks. She
looks towards irish.
Speaker 4 (37:22):
Also, just to clarify, Lucky seven's once pristine. I accidentally
forgot that. So it's still a one that I have
for now. Well, I'm gonna go use the restroom.
Speaker 5 (37:34):
What about you?
Speaker 1 (37:35):
Do you about those papers? Find your food somewhere else.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
I don't know you're going to tag along? I shrug
with pseudopods, Well, Dick.
Speaker 6 (37:52):
You know it's spreading our metaphorical legs. Might be good. Also,
should I have some rations.
Speaker 8 (37:57):
Still that could give you some if you would like?
Speaker 1 (38:00):
What do you go?
Speaker 4 (38:02):
It's just some dried stuff and I kind of unfold
it from wherever the interdimensional space of our inventory is
and I it's.
Speaker 6 (38:12):
Just a bunch of random dried stuff. It's like a
like a trail mix.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
Almost how random we're talking here?
Speaker 6 (38:21):
I don't know how random? Do you think?
Speaker 1 (38:23):
I think it both end. It's like you just emptied
to bin out into a plastic bag.
Speaker 6 (38:29):
Yeah, open up.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
M I open up like a sack.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
Okay, very good. There you go, and I'm gonna pour
all of that random stuff in your mouth.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Half of it's lind.
Speaker 6 (38:47):
Yeah, some of it's lens, some of it is nuts,
some of it is hardtack.
Speaker 4 (38:52):
A little bit of it is raisins basically, or this
world's equivalent of raisins.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
I think we can, yep, I think we could canonically
say raisins don't exist in this world.
Speaker 8 (39:02):
Okay, so what would be the what would be the.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
Equation some other drive old dry grapes.
Speaker 6 (39:09):
Are in this world if they are not raisins.
Speaker 5 (39:12):
I'm having a crisis.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
Grapes.
Speaker 8 (39:14):
What do they make wine out of?
Speaker 4 (39:16):
And I sprint off to the bathroom.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Did you say grapefruit?
Speaker 1 (39:21):
No? No, I said other kinds of fruit. Okay, they
definitely have berries. They probably just don't have grapes. Probably
some some something that tastes close to blueberries, something along
those lines.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Roll offt o iris.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
So the side questers are sort of gathering outside the
classroom as Wallhen, tog Dicker and Percy are outside enders.
You're out there with them and they're sort of chatting
it up. What do we see enders here? In the
(39:59):
city situation. What do you look like right now.
Speaker 10 (40:03):
Trying to avoid them? So you think is they're ramunctious.
But I'm looking around at the students and I'm trying
to get a figure. I'm still adjusting to everything, the
new stuff that's going on with me, but I'm really
trying to eye out where they keep all the rumoirs.
(40:25):
Okay in my mind the whole time. I barely pass
the test.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Yeah, yeah, there's no like sign or anything outside that
says like grimoires or anything along those lines. If you
want to really sort of search for that or listen
in to students maybe talking about it, I'm going to say,
you can just try and listen to some conversations and
things that are happening, or you can go off and
(40:51):
try and explore.
Speaker 10 (40:56):
The think. What I'm going to do is I'm going
to try to slightly taste the manner on the air,
and uh, follow that to whoever has the biggest man
of pool, so to speak, because they may be more
knowledgeable about where things are. Because it seems like there's
all kinds of students here, Okay, some that may take
(41:18):
it serious and that may not. I'm having a hard
time listening in because you, oh there's.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Won't shut up dicker especially. I think, uh, I think
you can. You can do this a couple of different ways.
Do you have any abilities or spells that will allow
you to do this?
Speaker 10 (41:38):
Mm hmm, but they're dangerous, okay, and I don't think
that's good right now?
Speaker 1 (41:44):
Okay. Otherwise, otherwise you can try and use your senses.
If you try to use your senses, I'm gonna say,
it's gonna be really tough. No.
Speaker 10 (41:52):
What I'll do is, I'll just without saying a word,
I'll grab Percy.
Speaker 7 (41:58):
By them.
Speaker 10 (42:02):
She makes that noise, I'll make let go.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
I'll say she's so sweaty too. Like when you grab her, it's.
Speaker 10 (42:09):
Like like you're good at talking. Would you mind coming
with me?
Speaker 1 (42:15):
Yes?
Speaker 10 (42:16):
I can see by your test taking that you have
the ability to be more intelligent than the others here.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Well, it's not really that hard.
Speaker 10 (42:27):
I can see your intelligence is brimming, it's literally oozing
out of your skin.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
If you can come with me, just flop sweat.
Speaker 10 (42:35):
Oh well, I would like company to speak with other
students to get to know the school better.
Speaker 5 (42:52):
But you want me to help you.
Speaker 10 (42:58):
I look at the other two.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Yeah, there's well three others. There's Dicker, we've got wall
In and Tog.
Speaker 10 (43:04):
Uh, well the other this more one I don't see.
I'm looking on my level one night.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
Sure, glance down. Yeah, okay, Yeah, Dicker and Todd are
having some kind of conversation. Dicker's so loud you can
just kind of like hear him openly. Yeah, and I
thought about that third question. It's really easy, doggy.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
I feel like they're just making these exams so much
easier every time we take them. We must be learning
at a rapid rate. I knew we'd do well here.
Speaker 10 (43:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
And I look at Tog, Yeah, he's he's just sort
of looking super angry and uncomfortable.
Speaker 14 (43:53):
Heat as if you're so close in here. Now, can
we ever have any classes outside William?
Speaker 12 (44:04):
What's his name?
Speaker 1 (44:07):
Wallhan WALLI in and look at wall In. Yeah, he's uh,
he's just he's trying to like interject in between TODG
and Dicker. Uh, and he's just getting overlooked.
Speaker 15 (44:22):
Just do you think maybe we could buy her way
into the academy, Like maybe we could bribe somebody.
Speaker 10 (44:31):
Now I turned back the person. Yes, he ought the
more qualified one.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
Well, that's not saying a lot, but thanks.
Speaker 10 (44:39):
Yeah, gives your breakaway from them.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
I've tried to keep following me.
Speaker 10 (44:45):
Well let's go, and I try to slip out and
walk towards and crowded students to try to get lost.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
And are you just like grabbing her by the wrist
and like dragging her on?
Speaker 10 (44:54):
Well, trying to unless I slip off. I need to
make a rule.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Uh uh, so you can make an insight and willpower.
Uh this is for her to do this kind of
like willingly, I guess, so just be an open check.
Speaker 10 (45:12):
Then.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Yeah, she's kind of she's obviously like hesitant. You know,
you're kind of like having to drag her a little bit. Oh,
I don't know, because you're kind of just dragging her along.
There's not like a ton of students out and about
right now. It's probably just before lunch, so I don't
think classes ended just yet.
Speaker 15 (45:32):
M hm.
Speaker 10 (45:35):
So my plan is the dragon too, you know whatever.
The biggest group of student is. She's a talker. She
seems to distract people with her sweat and her personality.
So when they're talking, I want to slip away.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
Oh okay, you're gonna use her as a distraction, correct, okay,
fair enough. Uh, Okay, I'm gonna say, uh, uh, we
can start a new clock here, and we're gonna say
that this is uh going to be four successes this clock. Uh.
(46:15):
If you go to your features page, you should see
where the clocks are so you can you can edit
them here or you can add another one whichever.
Speaker 10 (46:34):
Wait, that's not what I wanted, Elite.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
So I can item thing.
Speaker 10 (46:43):
What is this?
Speaker 1 (46:44):
No, I got it. I'll just so I have pre
made ones for you, and I can just drag one
in here and I'll just change this one. This is
gonna have four successes there you go. Okay, okay, so
(47:05):
first things first, let's see if you can find some
students to create this diversion insight and Insight.
Speaker 10 (47:19):
Nine.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
Okay, I'm gonna say this is going to count as
one failure.
Speaker 10 (47:26):
Mm hmm, same failure clock.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
Yeah, and we're gonna say, for for audience purposes that
this is, uh, basically you wanted to find like a
bigger group of people and it's just kind of like
a small group of students. Basically you're looking to maybe
create a bigger diversion here, and it's not as as
big as a diversion. Where are we going?
Speaker 10 (47:50):
Calm down.
Speaker 1 (47:52):
I don't know if I came in just the way
I was born.
Speaker 10 (47:56):
No, you were born dripping in sweat.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
Yes, mm hmm.
Speaker 10 (48:02):
Over there, I'll point, I'll try to walk Closten to
another side. Well. Also, while trying to avoid friends, I
can almost imagine how attached they are.
Speaker 1 (48:15):
Okay, uh yeah, like tog and dicker and wallhan. Uh
let's see here. They have not noticed you've left with Percy. Okay, yeah,
so uh, let's have you do. I think this will
(48:39):
probably be just decks and decks to leave Percy with
this group of people, and you just slink away. Yeah, okay,
that's another fail unfortunately, so as you yeah, as you
try to like get out of this scene, Percy starts.
(49:02):
Yeah she does. Oh, I'm sorry.
Speaker 15 (49:05):
My friend acquaintance, guy from class, he's leaving.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
Sorry. Let me just nice meeting you.
Speaker 8 (49:14):
Here are you going?
Speaker 1 (49:15):
She's starting to follow after.
Speaker 10 (49:17):
You, giving you space. You seem to be very enticing,
and you're getting stuff all over me.
Speaker 9 (49:29):
Is it a hooky?
Speaker 1 (49:30):
And she's like using her sleeve.
Speaker 10 (49:34):
I give up. I take her back to the group.
Speaker 1 (49:39):
There's just like a hot like five seconds where you're
staring at her as she's doing this. Just shake your head,
just start walking back. Oh you are welcome back. Glass
is going to be starting again soon. What do you
think they're gonna make us?
Speaker 16 (49:59):
Do?
Speaker 1 (49:59):
Net?
Speaker 10 (50:01):
Hopefully separate us? And then I walk off.
Speaker 1 (50:06):
He's so mysterious. I wonder do you think he's single?
I don't know.
Speaker 15 (50:15):
He just tried to take me to meet some people.
Speaker 8 (50:17):
I don't know if it was sex thing or not.
Speaker 1 (50:21):
Oh interesting. As everyone returns back to the classroom, you
can see the professor is basically face palming at her
desk and she's got a red pen and she's clearly
(50:46):
marking up somebody's paper. Everybody returns to their positions, and
the professor says, well, this was interesting. How did I do? Professor?
(51:06):
When do I start the advanced class? And she gives
Dicker like a look, it's very interesting, Dicker, how your
paper so clearly matched Percy's. I don't know what you're
talking about, Professor. I mean we do move in the
(51:29):
same circles, so it only makes sense that we had
similar antswer, I mean, we're very good friends. I see.
She begins to look over the papers and she says,
iris you have passed the written exam. Enders, you have
(51:56):
passed the written exam. She begins to hand you back
your books.
Speaker 6 (52:02):
I turned towards enders an ico.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
I just stared her boa whoa you have no yes, yes, pronounce,
I'm sure it is.
Speaker 2 (52:19):
You have nothing to turn in aside from a half
eaten page.
Speaker 10 (52:24):
That's a smell.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
Okay, wall him.
Speaker 3 (52:32):
Could I have extra time? Maybe another paper? I don't
have hands.
Speaker 2 (52:38):
You grew an eyeball during this exam. Maybe next time,
grow some hands.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
That's offensive to slimes. But okay, I'll be quiet.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
Wall him. A valiant effort, but fail.
Speaker 15 (53:01):
Oh can I can I get my family to donate
a like a wing to the to the academy.
Speaker 12 (53:11):
To maybe you know what?
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Never mind, never mind, it's okay, it's fine, fine in this.
Speaker 10 (53:19):
I'm definitely gonna turn around and look his way. He say,
donate a wing has been a building? Yeah, oh yeah,
I'm gonna take note of that.
Speaker 3 (53:29):
I no, oh, no, percy.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
Disappointing feil I.
Speaker 10 (53:44):
Was wrong about you?
Speaker 5 (53:48):
What am I gonna do that?
Speaker 1 (53:54):
He starts like Sobbings, just crying in her chair. Sticker pass.
Speaker 10 (54:11):
This way is identical to her?
Speaker 1 (54:13):
Checks out? Really, I knew i'd do well, how close
to one hundred percent did I get, professor? Conspicuously? Close
to one hundred percent?
Speaker 5 (54:31):
Really?
Speaker 1 (54:32):
Oh, I don't know about the word conspicuously. I think
I think personally maybe you know, I was just overlooked.
And he does this, He does a gesture with his hands,
and all of you can see this writing all over
one of his hands, and like as he opens up
(54:55):
his hands, like a bunch of pieces of paper fall
out of his sleeve.
Speaker 10 (55:00):
M hm.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
Ah. The professor he tries to like cover it up
and like stomp on the paper, you know, he just
puts his foot like on the paper that falls out.
The professor says.
Speaker 5 (55:16):
What is that?
Speaker 1 (55:18):
And she begins to walk over. Oh, it's nothing. I
had a little bit of a I got a cut.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
On my hand that I uh, let me see.
Speaker 17 (55:29):
I don't I feel like this violates my personal rights, Professor,
that I don't think that you are allowed to grab let.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
Me see, and she grabs. Ah, he holds out she
holds out his hand, and she can clearly see that
is why he smiles. Did anyone tell you you have
such a wonderful frown, professor? Quite becoming on you? Faul
(56:11):
oh hog pass.
Speaker 14 (56:23):
Another challenge succeeded.
Speaker 8 (56:28):
I'll turn around.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
Hell yeah, buddy, celebration.
Speaker 1 (56:34):
Dog gets up on top of the desk and he
starts and then he then he holds up his paper
mache dragon vulture thing and uh he he starts like
waving around, and the paper mache starts like falling apart,
and he starts doing a voice to go along with it,
(56:57):
and it's just a horrific uh screen as he's waving
this thing around.
Speaker 14 (57:07):
Once I become the greatest of majors, I will bring
this contract to life. It is my next challenge.
Speaker 6 (57:19):
You go, buddy, you got this.
Speaker 3 (57:22):
You got this.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
A nice ambition, talg, how did.
Speaker 5 (57:29):
You do that? Talk?
Speaker 1 (57:30):
What did you do?
Speaker 10 (57:32):
I studied, I.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
Didn't I I didn't even know you could count. I
can count.
Speaker 10 (57:41):
I can count to four. Watch this one, two three, four.
Speaker 1 (57:55):
Wow, Tug is just doing the nod in the background,
like the Robert Redford meme in the back.
Speaker 2 (58:11):
Now, let's see how everyone does on the practical examination.
Follow me, we shall go to the training room. Still
an opportunity for those that fail to potentially pass.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
Let's see how you do, and the professor begins to
head out and we switched scenes as we venture across
(58:58):
the country into a different site. Through you have been
paraded into a guard station in Skaldmere. The place is
(59:27):
pretty interesting as far as this sort of fantasy equivalent
of a police station. All right, you have uh, have
you ever been into like a regular police station before.
Speaker 6 (59:52):
Are you asking Riley?
Speaker 1 (59:55):
Yes? No, okay, So this for the audience, this would
be a very different kind of experience. This is a
trade town. This is a pretty successful trade town here
(01:00:16):
in mill Offax. It's a port for one of the
biggest countries in the world, of Regalia. And it's kind
of a tower as opposed to like what we would
expect from like a traditional sort of police like a
typical police building or pre synct or anything along those lines.
(01:00:41):
This is sort of a tower. So when you walk in,
you can immediately see stairs up and stairs down. There's
probably some signage that's here as well. You can see
that there's like jail downstairs, like offices upstairs, and the
(01:01:05):
guards are moving you down to the jail. They check
you for any weapons or anything that you might have
on you. They check you for any items that you
might have try and help you escape from this place. Now,
you managed to stow some things away. I cannot remember
(01:01:30):
what your role was though, when you actually tried to
hide some things. You failed that one, right, I failed?
Speaker 6 (01:01:38):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I remember screaming.
Speaker 9 (01:01:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
So you have basically whatever you had in your inventory
is still in your personal inventory, but anything that you
had on your physical person they have sort of confiscated.
Aside from your clothing, your bladed roses that you use
as weapons, they've taken those, and any little knickknacks and
(01:02:10):
things that you had on your person. They take all
that stuff, and they say, if you are let out,
you'll be receiving all of these things back again.
Speaker 18 (01:02:23):
But by this my comforts, blades, I need them.
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
Their weapons. No, just ugly crying here visa. This visa
says your name is Rue Is that correct?
Speaker 6 (01:02:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
Okay, and you're listed here as a hero.
Speaker 6 (01:02:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
Hey, that was that feeling that you had. I knew it.
I told you I felt something, some sort of aura. Yeah,
stories weren't wrong. Okay, all right, Uh, just so you
know what we're locking you up for. You're being locked
up for assault on another called mere citizen, as well
(01:03:25):
as severy.
Speaker 8 (01:03:29):
But that just poor I can't get to miufe.
Speaker 5 (01:03:36):
Wait doesn't help.
Speaker 6 (01:03:39):
And I turned to look back at them, and I
try to put on the biggest woiest face I can.
Speaker 1 (01:03:46):
Okay, Yeah, go ahead and make a insight and willpower
difficulty fourteen. That's a five. Yeah, you try to give
They're not even like looking at your face, like they're
just looking down at like paperwork as you're doing this.
(01:04:09):
Uh huh, tell it to the arbiter.
Speaker 5 (01:04:13):
I don't ever know what an army.
Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
You don't know what an arbiter is.
Speaker 6 (01:04:20):
I'm not from around here.
Speaker 1 (01:04:22):
Uh huh. Yeah. We don't see many many cats around Millifax.
There are a few that come through scald mirror, but
that's super common. Okay, uh, all right, you can take
her to sell number five.
Speaker 6 (01:04:38):
You can have some water. I'm so dehydrated.
Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
We'll have some water brought down to you in just
a few minutes.
Speaker 6 (01:04:48):
Do I get a phone call? Do I get what
would you say it?
Speaker 10 (01:04:53):
In this world?
Speaker 9 (01:04:54):
Scroll?
Speaker 6 (01:04:55):
Do I get to send a message?
Speaker 5 (01:04:59):
It's by lawyer.
Speaker 6 (01:05:01):
Lawyer crew thinks really really hard. My represented my guardian.
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
Who's your guardian? The timing when you went to think
was perfect on the music.
Speaker 5 (01:05:36):
You don't know them.
Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
Well, then how are we going to contact them for you?
Speaker 6 (01:05:46):
Her name's IRUs.
Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
Do you have a communications scroll with this person?
Speaker 6 (01:05:54):
Yeah? Yeah, you took it with my blades.
Speaker 1 (01:05:56):
Now here's a question for you. Was this in your
inventory or did you have this on you?
Speaker 6 (01:06:02):
I imagine I have it on me all the time.
Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
Okay, so that would have been part of the things
that they collected.
Speaker 6 (01:06:10):
So I don't think I've described previously that I've taken
it out of my inventory. I've pretty much just had
it ready at all times. And yeah, to scroll just.
Speaker 1 (01:06:25):
Oh okay, uh yeah, you need to contact your representative.
That's fine.
Speaker 5 (01:06:32):
Yeah, yeah, please.
Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
And they give you back the scroll and they say
you have five minutes.
Speaker 6 (01:06:44):
I just start spamming, just scribbling as quickly as I can.
I was like, got arrested, Iris, I really need help,
I was, I don't know what the fuck to do here?
Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
Ours.
Speaker 6 (01:06:53):
I ride out of money. I don't have any money.
I only have fifteen cent it, scratch that, eighteen cent it.
I don't know where Greg went. They don't have lines,
and you please help.
Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
Iris. You get this while you're on break from the test.
Speaker 4 (01:07:14):
Oh as in my bathroom break.
Speaker 8 (01:07:17):
Oh I'll answer it.
Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
I have time whilst on the toilet.
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
Oh my gosh, are you all right?
Speaker 6 (01:07:29):
Did they hurt you?
Speaker 5 (01:07:30):
What happened? Sorry?
Speaker 4 (01:07:42):
I just imagine she would really haven't taken earnest ships.
Speaker 9 (01:07:53):
I'm so.
Speaker 6 (01:07:55):
Hurt emotionally, psel.
Speaker 5 (01:08:05):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 6 (01:08:06):
Well, we are in the middle of an exam at
the moment.
Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
I'll explain later in like the brackets.
Speaker 6 (01:08:12):
I have them in like parentheses.
Speaker 4 (01:08:15):
I have you tried talking to America or anyone could?
Can America help you at all?
Speaker 6 (01:08:24):
You're a genius?
Speaker 5 (01:08:26):
Oh my god?
Speaker 6 (01:08:27):
Why didn't I fucking.
Speaker 5 (01:08:28):
Think of that?
Speaker 19 (01:08:29):
God?
Speaker 20 (01:08:29):
Damme?
Speaker 5 (01:08:30):
This Oh this is so hard.
Speaker 6 (01:08:33):
I've never had a role play like this before. Okay, thanks,
all right, fie, I'll hand them back to the scroll.
Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
I need to.
Speaker 6 (01:08:40):
Speak to someone that's in the city. They should be
able to help with all of this misunderstanding.
Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
They thought that's what you were doing right now.
Speaker 6 (01:08:53):
I don't have their number. What I don't have the
communication scroll?
Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
My problem?
Speaker 20 (01:09:08):
Wait?
Speaker 6 (01:09:08):
Will wait?
Speaker 1 (01:09:09):
Please insight more power difficulty fourteen.
Speaker 6 (01:09:19):
I hate this game, by the way, I fucking hate
this game.
Speaker 8 (01:09:23):
Eight.
Speaker 6 (01:09:24):
Of course, I'm completely unsurprised.
Speaker 10 (01:09:26):
At this point.
Speaker 6 (01:09:28):
Yeah, I'm gonna actually use my I'm gonna I'm gonna
use I have one fabula ultimate point. Okay, I'm going
to I would like to reroll, if that's okay. I
would like to invoke my identity of slick opportunists. I
want to try to take advantage of our my connection
(01:09:49):
with Merek, or at least assuming that Marek has uh
put a lot of steak into.
Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
Listen, you'd totally fine for you to try and exploit
that connection. I just don't know how you're gonna do
that to this officer. You can, I'll take slip slip opportunists.
Speaker 6 (01:10:14):
Okay, uh, yes, so I will. Instead, realizing that this
is not gonna work, I pump up my boobies and I.
Speaker 20 (01:10:26):
Say, could you send me a did you send a
message to Melwick for me?
Speaker 6 (01:10:30):
Tweets guph one.
Speaker 8 (01:10:36):
Every roll.
Speaker 6 (01:10:42):
That's time?
Speaker 1 (01:10:45):
Are you talking about? You said Marek a Frian noble.
Speaker 6 (01:10:53):
Yes, is there more than one, not that I know.
Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
Of, But you're claiming that you know them.
Speaker 6 (01:11:05):
Yes, I have been an esteemed guest at their hospitality.
Speaker 1 (01:11:11):
The guards are looking at each other like what like,
no way, they don't look at this? Yes, uh right, okay,
sell number five. I think the arbiter is going to
be able to see them tomorrow. Number five. Please please
(01:11:38):
please please please please please please please please please take
the communication scroll from you.
Speaker 4 (01:11:45):
The only part is as she folded it up to
put it away. Iris so saying, I think we perhaps
might have a scroll to contact Mark if you would
like let us know.
Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
The scirrel's still going on. Well, they had their five
minutes times up, bring.
Speaker 6 (01:12:08):
Them beside as I'm drug away.
Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
Yeah, we just see it like grew like digging furrows
into the stone as is being dragged away. You're tossed
into this into the cell room. It's not like nearly
as dingy as you would expect, Like this place is
(01:12:31):
kind of nice as far as like a guard station
would go. It's not like, you know, you're not tossed
in like some horrific basement dungeon. It's yeah, there's some
sunlight that's peeking in. There's barred windows that are up
pretty high. It's probably maybe fifteen foot high ceilings in here,
(01:12:53):
kind of like bare cobblestone walls. There's like probably like
a cop for a bed, and there's probably a like
some really simple sheets on it, and the window is
one of those sort of like rectangular like thin windows.
(01:13:15):
You wouldn't be able to like squish your body through
there or through the bars. And there are bars on there,
but there is air coming in. There's some light coming
in from here. And again the windows are probably up
closer to the ceiling. There's I think two slit windows
up near the ceiling there there is there are two
(01:13:39):
cots in here, and there's nobody else in here. There's
just your cot and uh, just you. There's no there's
no other person in here.
Speaker 6 (01:13:50):
As they slam me in, I grabbed the bars of
the door immediately. These base I'm.
Speaker 5 (01:13:58):
Not mad to be butted, Please walk away.
Speaker 1 (01:14:03):
I thought heroes were supposed to be well, I don't
know more impressing.
Speaker 5 (01:14:07):
M m.
Speaker 6 (01:14:13):
Well fuck, mm hmmm. I look to see if they've
disappeared around the corner. I opened my inventory. I pull
out a gun. I put it back. Okay, that's gonna
(01:14:36):
help me. Mm hmmm. I sit down in the middle
of the floor.
Speaker 8 (01:14:43):
Think think what it enders do?
Speaker 6 (01:14:52):
Wo would Bow do? What would bo do?
Speaker 7 (01:14:56):
No? I can't do any of that. M.
Speaker 6 (01:15:03):
I look up at the window. Would it be possible
for me to reach it? If I slide push the cot.
Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
Over and maybe jump. Yeah, so it's probably about like
twelve feet up. So I think that would probably just
be like decks and mite. We can see how high
you can try and jump. I'm gonna say this will
be difficulty twelve.
Speaker 6 (01:15:31):
I limber up a bit, I pounce trying to reach
for the bars on the window.
Speaker 5 (01:15:41):
There.
Speaker 21 (01:15:42):
Okay, five, you did the thing like like the the
eleven billion cat videos that are on TikTok of cats
failing their jumps.
Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
That's what we see inside the side hit my head.
Speaker 6 (01:16:00):
Oh okay, hmmm.
Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 5 (01:16:11):
Hmmm.
Speaker 6 (01:16:14):
I open my inventory and I just begin to like
kind of look through. Okay, I've got a few guns.
I'bout like six swords.
Speaker 10 (01:16:26):
I've got a tent.
Speaker 6 (01:16:32):
I don't know what this is. And I pull out Oops,
I have it like a stick in my inventory.
Speaker 1 (01:16:40):
Oh so that's just the improvised. That's just an improvised. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:16:47):
I pull out a staff, okay, a magic staff.
Speaker 1 (01:16:51):
All right.
Speaker 6 (01:16:52):
I kind of swing it around a bit. Well, I
don't remember who we killed for me to get this,
but hm hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:17:00):
You guys beat mark up.
Speaker 6 (01:17:02):
I stick the jeweled end of the rod through the
bars and I try to let an attack off. Maybe
maybe it'll signal Greg.
Speaker 20 (01:17:15):
And Greg will know where to come save me.
Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
Okay, this will be insight and willpower difficulty is gonna
be ten. Yeah, there is. This wasn't a critical fail
(01:17:38):
because I was gonna do some funny ship if it was.
But I'm gonna say, it's just like, please be kind
to me.
Speaker 6 (01:17:44):
This game hates me.
Speaker 1 (01:17:47):
I was gonna I was gonna say, like, well, this
is uh, it's just like a really pathetic like like
it's just it makes it makes the same noise that
Iris made when she was booping.
Speaker 6 (01:18:06):
Shove the staff back into my inventory.
Speaker 1 (01:18:17):
This is like the longest five minutes of your life.
Is just like pacing around. We can just see like
five minutes have passed in the clock, but for Rue,
it seems like it's been twenty four hours.
Speaker 6 (01:18:29):
Oh yeah, I'm like, I'm like a skeleton. All the
water has left my body from crying, and I wait,
I can't there's nothing I can do here. I don't
have anything sharp. A pull out of sword. I take
the sword and I try to like saw at the
(01:18:53):
barry to hit the bars and try to saw them
or something.
Speaker 1 (01:18:57):
Immediately we'll start to make noise, give me a decks
and decks for the audience. We see Ru like standing
on top of their cot and sawing away at the
(01:19:18):
bars with the sword. You know, metal on metal. It's
got to be making a horrible racket. But you're somehow
taking note of this and trying not to make any noise.
How would you like to spend your opportunity as you
got to create success?
Speaker 6 (01:19:32):
What the fuck? Hmm one moment, I'm trying to find
the thing. Where is it?
Speaker 4 (01:19:45):
I took one in the disport If you want that
to oh.
Speaker 1 (01:19:47):
Thank you sender journals.
Speaker 6 (01:19:52):
Huh okay, I would like to use my opportunity for
a plot twist. Someone or something of your choice suddenly
appears on the scene. I want Merka Fran to just
show up. Please God help please for Rue.
Speaker 1 (01:20:17):
Yeah, I think there's probably like we get this view
like Ru has no idea that America Fran does show
up at the guard station, but like upstairs, Marek walks
in and yeah, there there's probably like he's got a
bit of an entourage. So like the audience sees this, uh,
(01:20:37):
there's like an entourage behind Marek and he says like
he shows up and he's got like one of his
people's like talking to the guards and they're saying, oh,
hello there, Guard Winston, I have with me today, the
honorable Noble America a friend. And they the guards like
(01:21:02):
look at each other, like what and they yeah, they say,
are you here for the prisoner. I'm sorry, the prisoner
that we have downstairs? And who would that be? Looks
through the papers brew she's apparently a hero. We're still
(01:21:28):
pulling up the visa paperwork. We send somebody over to
the to the tower to bring back all the information.
We just have the basic visa information here. They start talking.
Marrek face palms.
Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
He's like, what what are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (01:21:50):
She's downstairs. We've got her arrested. We picked her up
for assault and for thievery. We've had a few complaints
about various thieving that's been happening around town. I believe
that she might be related to it. And what does
(01:22:15):
that have to do with me? Well, she did name
you as representative. What, yes, she mentioned something about someone
named Iris, and then she got on a communication scroll
and started fervently communicating with someone. She's been crying a lot.
(01:22:41):
It's really quite pathetic. Are you sure? She's a hero,
not entirely. I'm all right, how can we make this
go away?
Speaker 5 (01:22:55):
Go away?
Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
Ericaans in, Yeah, how can we make this go away?
The guard like lean's in conspiratorially to Marek by her
seeing the arbiter and probably paying a fine or going
(01:23:20):
to prison. Hmmm, well that's unfortunate. I believe that she
is doing a task for the Empress.
Speaker 10 (01:23:36):
What that's right, the Empress.
Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
And me. You wouldn't want to be in trouble with
the Empress, would you.
Speaker 5 (01:23:52):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:23:57):
Look, I don't know what going on here. We have
her dead to rights. She hit someone in the face
with a basket. There were plenty of witnesses. Marek rolls
his eyes, takes out a coin purse and like throws
it onto the table. How about now and she get, Oh,
(01:24:25):
some of those hell spawn that you have as children
some sort of nice education with this? What this is
probably more than you make in a year. Come on,
surely it's not worth the trouble. I don't know who
(01:24:49):
you think you're talking to, mister Gafrand. There's like a
heated argument that's happening upstairs. Room. You can pick up
a little bit, go ahead and make an insight and
insight check open check.
Speaker 6 (01:25:00):
I'm just actively sawing at the insight insight ye nine.
Speaker 1 (01:25:06):
Yeah, you're just you can't make it out. You have
no idea that it's mark up there. But yeah, they're
having like a heated argument. That's happening right now. You
can here's some people like yelling what's going on? And
then it's at this point that you see the familiar
face of Greg looking at you through the bars.
Speaker 6 (01:25:31):
The window or through the window. The I throw the
sword into my inventory. I was hoping that you would
come save me.
Speaker 20 (01:25:43):
Oh my god, you deserve such.
Speaker 6 (01:25:58):
Yeah. Uh huh, I don't know.
Speaker 20 (01:26:04):
I know, I know I fucked up.
Speaker 6 (01:26:10):
But the adventure is not over. Greg. You have to
help me get out of here.
Speaker 1 (01:26:19):
You can see Greg like quickly, he like looks around
like you just heard something. There's some leaves that fall
into the into the through the bars the cell I.
Speaker 6 (01:26:30):
Catch one.
Speaker 12 (01:26:39):
Is the ghost clear?
Speaker 5 (01:26:41):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (01:26:42):
Sorry?
Speaker 1 (01:26:44):
And you see Greg like rush away from the window
real quick. There's some yelling like from upstairs again.
Speaker 6 (01:27:03):
My ears twitch. Try to sniff the air. Do I
smell anything interesting?
Speaker 1 (01:27:14):
Uh, I'm gonna say with a nine insight check, I'm
gonna say probably not. Just smells a little mildewy in
the cell.
Speaker 6 (01:27:26):
They need to then bleach in this universe.
Speaker 1 (01:27:31):
You see quick, you see what appears to be Greg's
hand on the bars.
Speaker 5 (01:27:39):
Oh, I wish I could reach our little sinkers.
Speaker 1 (01:27:43):
And then Greg starts to slide something to the bars
that just doesn't quite make it, and it looks it
looks a little bit like a cup.
Speaker 6 (01:28:00):
I'll try to jump up and grab it.
Speaker 1 (01:28:03):
Okay, decks and mite.
Speaker 6 (01:28:09):
Sixteen.
Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
Yeah, h scramble up the wall and you grab onto it,
you pull it and you almost spill smoothie.
Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
Craig, thank you. I don't know that up about half
died in here.
Speaker 1 (01:28:44):
I'm all about that.
Speaker 6 (01:28:55):
So Greg, I'm how to get out of here?
Speaker 1 (01:29:00):
What I do?
Speaker 5 (01:29:02):
Understand?
Speaker 13 (01:29:03):
You?
Speaker 5 (01:29:04):
My god?
Speaker 1 (01:29:07):
How he walks away from the window, No, come.
Speaker 6 (01:29:12):
Back, sit on the floor. I finished the smoothie.
Speaker 5 (01:29:20):
Ah.
Speaker 1 (01:29:23):
Five minutes later Greg returns. He slides in a piece
of paper.
Speaker 6 (01:29:34):
Huh, I catch it, I unfurl it.
Speaker 1 (01:29:38):
You referral a crazy set of diagrams of various there's
various pictures here of what is clearly you uh like
in stick figure form, and like there's this elaborate plan
that has been written down on this piece of paper.
There's like arrows and stuff through this, and you can
(01:30:01):
see like the window and Greg trying to like you
can see him like getting a whore, like a like
a iguidon and like trying to hook up the iguidon
with a rope to the bars on the window. You
can see like there's numbers above each one of these,
like one, two, three, and four, And he's got four
different plans that have been written down on this piece
(01:30:24):
of paper. One is clearly an iguodon trying to rip
the bars out of the window. Two appears to be
Greg fighting the guards. Like there, Greg's doing like like
a kung fu pos and he's like jump kicking one
of the guards in the face. The next one is
the next one is Greg's. It looks like Greg is
(01:30:45):
trying to sneak into the guardhouse like past like a
guard at the desk. And then uh, there's the last
plan there, which is basically like it looks like you
writing on a scroll, what.
Speaker 6 (01:31:05):
Like number one one. Yeah, Okay, I don't know if
this will help, but I reach into my inventory and
I pull out one of the guns and I'll just
try to throw it between the bars and give it
to Greg.
Speaker 1 (01:31:21):
Decks and Decks please critically fail twelve.
Speaker 5 (01:31:29):
I help.
Speaker 1 (01:31:30):
Yeah, Yeah, somehow clan lands like through the bars and
we see like Greg like hold up, he holds up
the gun.
Speaker 6 (01:31:42):
Yeah, I've got eighteen's in it. Do you think that'll
help too. I'm gonna take that as a no. I
(01:32:03):
have a bunch of swords.
Speaker 20 (01:32:04):
That's about it.
Speaker 6 (01:32:07):
More guns. Do you want another gun? I'll throw another
gun up there.
Speaker 1 (01:32:19):
He's two guns now outside looks like a complete lunatic.
And he's also like somehow he's gotten like around the
perimeter of this guard station right like he's inside. You know,
they wouldn't just have this, they wouldn't. They wouldn't just
have like the the like the cell easily accessible by
(01:32:43):
people walking past on the street. There's like a little
perimeter like fence around the guard station. Keep people away
from the cells.
Speaker 6 (01:32:52):
All right, Greg, this is your chance to be a share.
Speaker 5 (01:33:00):
Damn soon you need saving your quest, Greg, this.
Speaker 1 (01:33:08):
Is your first quest.
Speaker 6 (01:33:10):
Heroes get quests. Don't fail me.
Speaker 20 (01:33:17):
Now, you got this, buddy.
Speaker 18 (01:33:31):
Yeah, in my experience, you just don't overthink it.
Speaker 6 (01:33:38):
You just do just just do the thing.
Speaker 20 (01:33:43):
Up.
Speaker 6 (01:33:44):
If things get bad, just run away.
Speaker 1 (01:33:47):
He's already gone because like already right.
Speaker 6 (01:33:50):
Hmmm, I look over the paper. I wonder if I
should have picked a different one. I don't know. That'll
be fine.
Speaker 1 (01:34:02):
Meanwhile, like an hour passes, I'm back.
Speaker 6 (01:34:07):
I'm back to crying again.
Speaker 5 (01:34:12):
But this is so bad for my skin.
Speaker 1 (01:34:16):
Upstairs, there's like this heated conversation that's happening between Marek
and the guards, Like several other guards have joined in.
There's like a class just there's like just basically like
a class war that's happening right now between the noble
America fran and like the guards that work in scald Mirre.
(01:34:37):
Like there's a heated like like.
Speaker 16 (01:34:39):
The nobles are taking advantage of us for too long
and like you don't know what you're talking about, Like.
Speaker 1 (01:34:44):
It's crazy, like a heated debate is happening inside.
Speaker 6 (01:34:47):
Like like there's.
Speaker 1 (01:34:51):
There's like there's like there's like revolutionary ship that's happening
up here, like in the guard station, like people are
like we've been just we've been We've been traded for
far too long by the nobles and like shit is
shit is like getting He's superheated, like and America said,
if the merchants have scalled mire didn't pay taxes, then
(01:35:13):
you wouldn't be having a job, you know. Like it's
just this crazy, fucking like class war that's happening right
now up there. And you've got you're so far removed
from Marrick's thought process. He's just having a heated debate
with the guards right now and his entourage and everything,
(01:35:33):
and they're the probably his entourage are like looking at
each other like that's another it's another Tuesday, you know.
And after this hour passes, Greg returns.
Speaker 5 (01:35:51):
Quick.
Speaker 1 (01:35:55):
You see like a rope being attached to the bars.
Speaker 6 (01:36:03):
Okay, I look around, is there anything I want to
steal in here? Does a cot have a pillow? I
just start taking the bedding off of the cot and
I throw into my inventory. Anything that's not bolted down,
I'll just throw into my inventory. I try to put
the bed into I'm like, oh, it's not gonna work.
It's not gonna work.
Speaker 1 (01:36:25):
Yeah. Like Greg starts tying these knots, and you can
see him like checking. He puts this little foot up
on the bars and he's like trying to test to
make sure it holds.
Speaker 8 (01:36:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:36:35):
That looks good. Are you not that knot? Yeah, that's a
great knot. That's not I've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (01:36:43):
Yeah, the the knot gets tied.
Speaker 20 (01:36:58):
Yep, count of three, yeah yeah, And.
Speaker 6 (01:37:03):
I begins to like back up a bit.
Speaker 1 (01:37:06):
Greg rushes away from the window. Like a minute later,
you can hear you can hear somebody outside.
Speaker 22 (01:37:14):
Like com no, and then a gunshot.
Speaker 1 (01:37:30):
And you hear there's like you see the rope like
like get taught, you know, like it's it gets taught.
And then there's like this sound of like some animal straining,
you know, like just horrible screeches and noises. Another gun
(01:37:54):
shot upstairs. We see another scene in the audience, like
we see another cut, like as they're having this argument,
is that con for I don't know. It sounded loud.
It could have been a spell. I guess somebody go
check it out. And it's at that point and see
(01:38:20):
how this goes.
Speaker 6 (01:38:21):
Do the bars look like they're bending or anything's happening
to them?
Speaker 1 (01:38:25):
Nothing has changed with the bars, there's no working.
Speaker 6 (01:38:34):
I reach into my inventory, I pull out the staff
and I'm gonna try to shoot at the wall around
the bars, Okay, just desperately.
Speaker 5 (01:38:43):
I don't know how to use.
Speaker 1 (01:38:45):
This insight and willpower Difficulty twelve.
Speaker 6 (01:38:58):
Nine.
Speaker 1 (01:38:59):
Yeah, okay, you again try to shoot the bars, and
like some kind of magical uh reaction happens. You can
see the staff. The staff starts to like glow. There's
like emberstone that's on the end that is that glows.
For a second. You can see like the like there's
(01:39:20):
veins of emberstone that begin to glow along the staff
and it just kind of flashes like real bright for
a second and almost like blinds you for a second.
And there's like a slight burn mark on the stone.
But upstairs there is a full out, like intense argument
(01:39:40):
that is happening. Stuff is going crazy. Marka Fran is
like spitting and yelling at the guards, like you don't
know how lucky you have it.
Speaker 16 (01:39:49):
If the merchants weren't here, if the goffriends weren't here,
Scoldmare would have fallen into the fucking sea. This place
is our shit hold without us, you know, just a
horrific scene. Guards from all over the building have like
come to have this argument that's happening, and outside we
(01:40:10):
see Greg with what appears to be the smallest iguidon
that he could possibly find that no way has any
chance of pulling.
Speaker 1 (01:40:20):
The bars out of this window. And he is trying
his hardest. He's on top of the iguidon and he's
got a gun up in the air and he's firing.
If Marek was not upstairs, one thousand percent, Greg would
be seen trying to do this all right.
Speaker 6 (01:40:40):
Time to change plans. The staff not working for me.
What I would like to do is I put the
staff down on the ground. I pull out one of
the swords from my inventory. I would like to use
the pommel of the sword to try to break the
emberstone crystal off of the staff so I could try
(01:41:01):
to use it for something else. To basically disassemble the staff.
Speaker 1 (01:41:05):
Uh, okay, I'm gonna so I will take might and
might or decks and decks, And I know which one
you're gonna do, but I'm just giving you the option.
Speaker 6 (01:41:15):
Hmmm, I think I'm gonna do decks and decks. Fuck,
that's nine.
Speaker 1 (01:41:21):
Okay, So I'm gonna say that you do it. But
it's not clean, like you break some of the emberstone.
It breaks like a little bit, like some of it's
still embedded in there, and you break off a piece.
Speaker 6 (01:41:38):
Good enough. Okay, hm hmm. I look at the picture.
Speaker 1 (01:41:49):
You hear some more screeching from an animal outside.
Speaker 6 (01:41:52):
I'm gonna throw the do I do? I get the
sense that the emberstone might be volatile, especially with it broken. Okay,
I try to bite it? Can I bite it?
Speaker 1 (01:42:06):
You can always try. I try to bite it, yees'
like biting a rock.
Speaker 5 (01:42:11):
Eh.
Speaker 6 (01:42:16):
I'm going to throw the emberstone. No, I'm going to
try to place the emberstone up onto the ledge where
the bars are, and then I'm gonna take out one
of the guns and I'm gonna try to shoot it.
Speaker 1 (01:42:29):
Okay, dook, go ahead and make an attack. Roll with
the gun.
Speaker 19 (01:42:37):
Okay, please, for the love of God, this game ooh nineteen.
Speaker 1 (01:42:50):
You shoot it, and that same like flash of light
that happened before happens, except this time there's a bit
more of an explosive effect. So as the shot hits
the emberstone, nothing happens for like a half a second, right,
and I think you see it and you're like, oh
my god, I hit it, And then you're like, oh,
(01:43:11):
is it gonna explode? And then you open one eye
and you look up. Nothing's happened, and you get like
a little sad for a second. And this all happens
within like a second or two, and then there is
some kind of reaction. You see like little veins of
light start to creep like you almost think like they're cracks,
(01:43:33):
but if you look closely, we'd see like lightning start
to crackle inside the umberstone. And there's a chain reaction
that begins to happen. Boom, the emberstone blasts and there
is a cloud of debris that goes off and you
can see like a few of the bricks of the
(01:43:57):
cobbles have fallen out, and the bars angling come loose,
and you can see two of the bars where the
rope was attached like go flying out.
Speaker 6 (01:44:11):
Okay, I'm gonna try to grab the bed to make
like a ramp so that to lean it up against
the wall there so I can try to escape through
the hole.
Speaker 1 (01:44:24):
Sure, absolutely, I'm gonna say you don't have to make
a roll for this. I think you can just do
it because it's not it's not like it's super heavy
or anything. You just make a sort of angle and
you start running up. You grab it and now there's
probably enough space for you to squeeze through it. Greg
(01:44:50):
out there there's like this. It looks what has to
be like a child iguadon, you know, like it's this
is this is like the equivalent of a foal of
a horse. You know, this is like a teenager iguadon.
Speaker 6 (01:45:03):
You know, would I fit on it? You can always try,
all right, Greg, scoot over and then.
Speaker 1 (01:45:17):
Okay, uh yeah, it's the equadon clearly struggles as soon
as you like sit on it. You know, like this
is it's probably too small for you. But you get
on and it's really awkward, like it's a little wobbly.
Speaker 6 (01:45:34):
That's okay, to make your work. We're doing great. Yeah,
just hold on.
Speaker 1 (01:45:40):
There's no way that Greg is fitting here as well.
Speaker 6 (01:45:45):
Can I pick up Greg and cradle him against me
like a baby. You can always try and ride the eguadn.
Speaker 1 (01:45:53):
Okay, sure, let's see what this is gonna be.
Speaker 9 (01:46:01):
Oh boy, So.
Speaker 1 (01:46:20):
Are you just trying to get out of here as
fast as possible? Yes?
Speaker 6 (01:46:24):
Okay, I just want to make some distance.
Speaker 1 (01:46:28):
Okay, I'm gonna say this is decks and decks sixteen Okay.
Uh So again, you're within like the perimeter of some
kind of fence or something around the guard station, and
you and Greg, and this young iguidon run as fast
as it can. It's not very fast if you've been
(01:46:49):
on an uh I mean no, you weren't on guidons before, right,
You weren't part of that, So you don't know how
fast these things can go. You think maybe this is
as fast as they go. They go way faster than
you're going right now.
Speaker 6 (01:47:03):
Greg, I'll be honest, this is kind of a shitty mount.
I don't think. I don't think we're gonna be able
to know it. It was great for your plan.
Speaker 5 (01:47:10):
Your plan was great. Your plan was flawless.
Speaker 6 (01:47:12):
I'm just saying, maybe we need to get off of
this thing. Maybe you can use as a distraction.
Speaker 1 (01:47:19):
Greg is like pointing. You see the fence in front
of you. The iguodon is rushing towards it.
Speaker 5 (01:47:26):
But I don't know if it's gonna be clear.
Speaker 6 (01:47:29):
It's too late.
Speaker 1 (01:47:31):
You're just rushing towards the fence. The iguidon doesn't really
know what to do. It just kind of like rears
back and stops as it approaches the gate the fence.
Speaker 6 (01:47:41):
How tall is the fence?
Speaker 8 (01:47:43):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:47:43):
Probably seven feet?
Speaker 6 (01:47:45):
Okay, I'm gonna try to toss Greg as the Iguodon
comes to a stop. Okay, I'm gonna try to get
him over the fence because I can probably climb it myself.
Speaker 1 (01:47:56):
This is might and mite, bro, I'm not making your
choices for you.
Speaker 6 (01:48:06):
Nine.
Speaker 1 (01:48:07):
Okay, you throw Grey and it looks like he's like
sailing smacks into the fence. He grabs on.
Speaker 5 (01:48:24):
I get if it's.
Speaker 6 (01:48:25):
Only seven feet I can push from underneath.
Speaker 1 (01:48:27):
I can't look when I just try to push him
up over to push him over, great, and.
Speaker 6 (01:48:34):
I try to scrabble up after him.
Speaker 1 (01:48:37):
Okay, it's probably at this point that you can hear
uh scape escape in the distance, and I'm gonna need
a decks and decks thirteen yep, that is good enough. Okay,
you scramble over the fence any way away and inside
(01:49:04):
the guard station we see another different scene. Everybody sort
of like calmed down a little bit, and we see
like we see Marek and the guard that were that
brought you into the to the prison, to the jail,
like they're shaking hands. I understand where you're coming from.
(01:49:28):
This was a difficult situation. I understand. I think there's
too many confrontations that we brought into his nobles and
we don't really see your perspective often enough. I really
appreciate that, sir. Good Now, if you could do me
(01:49:52):
a favor, if I could speak with Rue, that would
be wonderful. Sure, she's in the jail. I'll accompany you, sir.
We get to walk down here, sell, they get to
the door, they look around.
Speaker 6 (01:50:14):
I'm out there.
Speaker 1 (01:50:18):
You sure this was the right cell that she was in?
Uh huh?
Speaker 5 (01:50:33):
Goods.
Speaker 1 (01:50:37):
Meanwhile, Moon, Yes, you are in a cavern, in a
lawn shoe, and you are currently hunting the bombard ant Queen.
(01:51:09):
I would like you to please start things off with
an insight and insight check as you try to find
your way.
Speaker 8 (01:51:19):
Insights and insights that open. Okay, so thirteen, Okay, this is.
Speaker 1 (01:51:31):
A tough going, Moon. I think you usually probably rely
on your sense of sight, having to do a lot
of listening.
Speaker 8 (01:51:45):
And hopes that right pretty dark in hair, right.
Speaker 1 (01:51:48):
Yeah, in the hopes that turn might be able to
help you. There's very little light. You've come across a
few bits of bioluminescence occasionally in the caverns here, the
occasional mushroom, maybe even a creature or so here and
there some insects that might be glowing what have you,
(01:52:13):
And there's been minimal contact with Tarn. She's sort of
communicated to you that you need to be very quiet,
and that creatures just like you are primarily using their
hearing and vibrations in the caverns to detect other creatures.
Speaker 8 (01:52:34):
I'm trying to step as softly as i can, but
I'm aware that my armor is probably making a bit
of noise. So I'm shuffling along and I cannot hear
Tarn at all, even though I'm straining my ears to
hear anything.
Speaker 1 (01:52:51):
You come across a patch of some bioluminem bioluminescent mushrooms,
and that's just about like the first time you've seen
Tarn in maybe a few hours. I lean in she
stops near the mushrooms.
Speaker 8 (01:53:13):
I'd wait and look at her expectantly.
Speaker 1 (01:53:16):
Is there no way.
Speaker 12 (01:53:20):
Then you can keep quiet?
Speaker 8 (01:53:26):
I feel my ears get hot. Sorry, I'm not very
good at sneaking.
Speaker 12 (01:53:36):
I am well aware.
Speaker 8 (01:53:41):
Uh do I have a side note? Do I have
anything that makes it maybe allows me just to sneak
something that I don't know, some kind of like muffle ability.
Speaker 1 (01:53:55):
I don't think so.
Speaker 8 (01:53:56):
I don't think so. Nope, I'm just gonna be clunking.
Can I look back at turn.
Speaker 1 (01:54:01):
I feel like what we have seen of Moon has
usually not been anything remotely stealthy. We have seen no
June be very direct, very loud, and intimidating. But I
don't know if silence is the is the is the strength?
Speaker 5 (01:54:18):
Not?
Speaker 8 (01:54:18):
Not exactly not not exactly the way? All right? And
I uh, and I kind of study myself and I
look in Turns direction, even though I can't really see her.
I said, I'm afraid this is the best I can
do right now.
Speaker 1 (01:54:39):
You won't be responsible for yourself then.
Speaker 10 (01:54:43):
Is expected?
Speaker 1 (01:54:45):
Yes, of course. She kneels down towards the mushrooms and
she points to some of them. You can see that
there looks like some of them are missing from the rest.
They've kind of been almost torn, like they've been torn away.
(01:55:07):
You see here some animals have eaten these mushrooms, most
likely the bombard ants. Okay, beyond a few rodents, I
have not seen any other creatures in this tunnel. We
(01:55:33):
are probably close. Can you see the smaller tunnels around?
Speaker 8 (01:55:43):
Can I see the smaller tunnels around?
Speaker 1 (01:55:47):
You got a thirteen on your insight check. I'm gonna
see maybe if Tarn points them out. It's that, you know,
when your eyes just get so used to the dark
that like, even though you really can't see much, you
can maybe distinguish some shapes here and there. Yeah, it's
not really enough light past where the mushrooms are growing
(01:56:10):
to really see anything in depth, but you can see
maybe some variations in shadow.
Speaker 8 (01:56:16):
Okay, and I look and I uh, I say, okay,
following you.
Speaker 1 (01:56:29):
No, this is where I will leave you.
Speaker 8 (01:56:35):
Oh, all right, well I have a question, then.
Speaker 10 (01:56:43):
Speak good?
Speaker 8 (01:56:48):
Do they leave any droppings?
Speaker 1 (01:56:52):
All creatures do?
Speaker 8 (01:56:55):
Okay? Do they glow in the dark?
Speaker 10 (01:57:02):
They may.
Speaker 1 (01:57:04):
If they ate these mushrooms, as I believe they have
a good question, A question of a hunter.
Speaker 8 (01:57:19):
All right, well that's my only question. Thanks for getting
me this far.
Speaker 1 (01:57:30):
You can't see her face beyond the mask of kitan
armor that she wears as a helmet and body armor.
There's the briefest inclination of their head. She says, I
did so out of obligation. Nothing more.
Speaker 8 (01:57:59):
Understood. Nice to know you.
Speaker 3 (01:58:05):
You are.
Speaker 1 (01:58:08):
Powerful, but you are raw.
Speaker 10 (01:58:18):
You have.
Speaker 1 (01:58:22):
Power, Perhaps it is time for you to gather skill.
Speaker 8 (01:58:42):
What do you mean by that?
Speaker 1 (01:58:52):
I do not know. Much about surface dwellers or.
Speaker 10 (01:58:59):
Hero ose.
Speaker 1 (01:59:03):
But what I do know it is that you possess
great powers, powers that people of Regalia would kill over.
(01:59:24):
Perhaps you should spend time owning your skills, and all
of that power might be of use.
Speaker 12 (01:59:46):
I'll do my best. I leave you now, goodbye.
Speaker 7 (01:59:56):
Turn May the shadows hide you you as well.
Speaker 1 (02:00:12):
Carn steps away from the bioluminescent mushrooms without a sound.
You do not feel her nearby.
Speaker 8 (02:00:28):
I gulped a little and start to move towards what
looks like some kind of cave entrance. I'm not certain.
It's really more feeling it out now because I don't
have I don't have this guidance. It's kind of squinting
(02:00:52):
and listening.
Speaker 1 (02:00:55):
Okay, this is gonna be insight and insight.
Speaker 10 (02:01:02):
Open check.
Speaker 8 (02:01:04):
And can I also ask I guess depending on the rule. Oh,
that's a three, never mind, no questions. You're on her.
Speaker 1 (02:01:14):
That's a two in a one. Yep, Moon, you try
your best to move around here. What are you feeling
right now? I mean physically, I mean internally yeah.
Speaker 8 (02:01:35):
Yeah, uh. Pressure. It's like like like when when you
know there are things around you, like like like you
buy the noise that you make, like like you go
on a closet or something. You close the door. It's
like you know that there are there are things around
(02:01:56):
you because you can hear them. You can hear things
dampening your movement, but there's no visuals. There's no visuals whatsoever.
So I'm just kind of like, okay, feeling out for
like a while, but feeling pretty wobbly and dizzy. I'm like,
I've got very little sense of balance at this point.
I don't know what part of the floor is flat.
(02:02:19):
So I'm moving forward and very slow steps, and I
kind of slip on a rock and I hear some
pebbles and I keep hearing these pebbles roll off to
the side, and I'm like, okay, I must I must
(02:02:40):
be on the side of something here, so I'm not
going to go this way. But it's so empty. There's
nothing else there, and this lack of life, this lack
of sound, it's beginning to drive me a little, a
little crazy, a little inwardly. There's nothing else in here.
(02:03:05):
I think it might just be me start losing It
would almost be a welcome change for a monster.
Speaker 1 (02:03:14):
You start losing track of, like time in your position
in this in these caverns. Did you make a left
at some point? Did you make a right? Did you
stay on the same path.
Speaker 8 (02:03:30):
I'm looking down and fully aware that I don't know
if this floor is even going to stay flat at
this at this juncture.
Speaker 1 (02:03:41):
Give me a favor and roll me in D SX please.
Speaker 12 (02:03:44):
Okay, D six?
Speaker 8 (02:03:52):
Oh, give me a second. I'm sorry, did that wrong?
You said a D six? It's a six?
Speaker 1 (02:03:59):
Wowk wow? You mean wow. We don't want the.
Speaker 8 (02:04:05):
Narrator to say wow.
Speaker 10 (02:04:10):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:04:12):
You're searching and searching and trying to get any semblance
of where you are, where these bombard ants are, and
you're just kind of lost, and it's you know, you're
not quite sure like how much time has passed. If
you've ever been in one of the sensory deprivation tanks
(02:04:34):
or anything along those lines, it's like almost like a
psychedelic kind of experience when your senses are taken away
from you and you're just kind of.
Speaker 8 (02:04:44):
Yes, existing, yes, right, I'm starting to all fed up
that aren't there, Like there's it's like a and it's
not accurate, of course, but after a period of time,
it's almost like it looks like go location, and it
feels like that that has to be that has to
(02:05:05):
be here, this has to be here. But this tunnel
feels just like the other tunnel. And I'm not even
sure this is a tunnel because this might be a
dead end. But I can feel sometimes how close to
a wall that I am, because they'll come up to
something and my breath will come back to me. And
this this condensation, this fog, and it smells like this
(02:05:30):
might be really specific.
Speaker 1 (02:05:31):
But when.
Speaker 8 (02:05:34):
Your nails get a bit longer and you cut your
nails and you're like, huh, that feels really weird, and
it feels like a lot of dead skin and it
feels like I'm getting older. Yeah, I feel like I'm
constantly shedding something from this humidity in this cave, like
(02:05:55):
and I'm thirsty. I'm so thirsty.
Speaker 1 (02:05:58):
Yeah. As you're finding your way here, you can see
a light up ahead. It is orange and it's probably.
It slowly makes its way into your vision. This isn't
(02:06:19):
like blinding, this isn't like sudden. You can see that
there is a sort of distant glow. It starts to
meander and makes its way into your vision. First light
you've seen since the mushrooms. How long ago was that?
It's hard to say.
Speaker 8 (02:06:43):
I stop in my tracks and I just observe for
a second or two.
Speaker 1 (02:06:49):
The light fluctuates a little bit, fluctuates. How it's not
a steady stream of light. It is periodically like gets
a little bit darker and then it gets a little
bit lighter. Okay, moving a little bit.
Speaker 8 (02:07:12):
So it's not it's not like a beam of light.
Is it like a like an orb.
Speaker 1 (02:07:16):
It doesn't seem like it.
Speaker 8 (02:07:18):
It's just a diffuse glow, a diffuse glow. Okay. I cautiously.
Speaker 6 (02:07:25):
I have.
Speaker 8 (02:07:28):
I have a hand on Debt's embrace on the on
the hilt, and I very cautiously take a couple of
steps forward because I realize that I'll probably be loud
in any case, and I don't take my eyes off
of this light.
Speaker 1 (02:07:44):
M Do you move closer? Do you stay the same.
Speaker 8 (02:07:51):
Discor move closer?
Speaker 1 (02:07:52):
Yes? Yeah. There are sounds that you can make out
now too.
Speaker 10 (02:07:59):
I stopped.
Speaker 1 (02:08:00):
A sort of familiar sound. You've heard it recently, and
it takes you a second to realize what it sounds like.
You heard some similar sounds when you're in the settlement.
There's almost the bubbling or roiling.
Speaker 8 (02:08:30):
Bubbling or roiling.
Speaker 1 (02:08:35):
I move closer, there's smells now acrid and little sulfury.
As you get closer, lights brighter, brighter, and you can
(02:08:58):
see as you approach lava flows, magmas moving undergrounding. You
can see that the walls around you have been illuminated
a little bit, and you can see that they are
much smoother than they were.
Speaker 8 (02:09:23):
Okay, smoother as in the rocky been sanded like like
that gives the appearance of it.
Speaker 1 (02:09:34):
Being almost glass like, glass like.
Speaker 8 (02:09:37):
Okay, are they craggy? Does it look organic or does
it look like someone made it that way? Are there
right angles?
Speaker 1 (02:09:47):
There's now right angles?
Speaker 8 (02:09:48):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:09:51):
Just significantly smoother than the rock of the cavern that
you've seen thus far. Okay, the rockets a different appearance
than you would have expected. It is glassy. It is,
you know, significantly smoother.
Speaker 8 (02:10:08):
I put a hand out to kind of feel if
I can feel any heat coming from this.
Speaker 1 (02:10:15):
Glassy it's definitely it's definitely hotter like as you've gotten
closer to the light, the wall itself doesn't feel particularly hot.
Speaker 8 (02:10:24):
Okay, I look around if it's illuminating this, Yeah, this
glassy wall area. Does it also give me a sense
of direction, because if this is the first light, I imagine
that it's probably illuminating most of the area and maybe
(02:10:45):
giving me some kind of.
Speaker 1 (02:10:48):
It's a pretty open area. Once you come to the
end of this sort of tunnel that you're in where
the light is coming from, you can see what is
effectively a magma series of magma rivers.
Speaker 8 (02:11:00):
Oh wow, you know, like shield my eyes because it's
actually pretty bright coming out of this darkness.
Speaker 1 (02:11:04):
Like, oh yeah, it's it's a bit like you know,
if you just go into like one of those random
caves in Minecraft and you just find this giant open cavern.
Speaker 8 (02:11:13):
Okay, that's what I was thinking.
Speaker 1 (02:11:14):
Yeah, there's just magma like flowing. There's like a few
magma falls, and.
Speaker 8 (02:11:20):
Wow, I just kind of stand there in awe because
I don't think I've ever seen magma falls, and wow,
I must really be under here.
Speaker 1 (02:11:36):
It's really like once you come out into the open area,
it's like way hotter, Like all of the all of
the air that's moving around in here is very hot.
Speaker 8 (02:11:46):
I wiped some sweat off my brow, take some clunky
steps around what looks like craggy rock, but it's not
exactly magma or anything that's shifting. And I scan the area.
Is there anything that I see that looks and maybe
(02:12:11):
made by people or is it is it purely just
earth and magma down here?
Speaker 1 (02:12:20):
Open insight insight, Okay.
Speaker 8 (02:12:26):
Eleven.
Speaker 1 (02:12:28):
Definitely does not look like there's anything made by people here.
I think what you pick up is that there's I mean,
like it looks like this, this magma might periodically overflow
and like enter some of these tunnels.
Speaker 8 (02:12:46):
Okay, oh, okay.
Speaker 1 (02:12:49):
Like these are I don't know what they're called underground,
but it's kind of like tributaries cover river that kind
of a thing. I don't know what they're called. Yeah,
it looks like this right now. It's the equivalent of
like low tide, you know what I mean?
Speaker 8 (02:13:07):
Like this is so it hasn't quite risen just yet.
Speaker 1 (02:13:14):
And yeah, this is uh currently. I mean, it's a
beautiful sight. It's it's very impressive and it's very I
think intimidating, and there's no sign of any people that
live here.
Speaker 8 (02:13:31):
Okay, is it loud?
Speaker 1 (02:13:35):
I don't think it's super loud, but there's definitely some
noise that that's that's in here. It's not like you know,
overwhelming noise.
Speaker 8 (02:13:43):
This noise is actually really calming to me, like it's
it's probably the first noise that I would have heard
in a long time as well, other than like my
own breath. Right, So I kind of look out over everything,
and you though the air is hot, it's like really hot.
It's like breathing in like a firework. I look out
(02:14:06):
and just kind of.
Speaker 1 (02:14:17):
There's no response from this, but you hear your own
voice reflected back. How do you think you sound to
yourself right now?
Speaker 8 (02:14:34):
It comes back confused, comes back like I'm not asking
a question. I'm not really searching, but I'm just almost
testing out my voice. And it feels weird to use
(02:14:54):
my voice because I don't know how long it's been
since I last used my voice either. My sense of
time is pretty distorted here, so just using it felt
really good. But hearing it come back was all right.
Speaker 1 (02:15:13):
As you say this to yourself, there's a few like
like bubbles that pop of the magma. You see like
embers shoot up, and and then you see something moving.
At first you think it is you know, maybe the
(02:15:34):
magma sort of diverging or moving around some stone or something,
but you think you see something moving inside the magma.
Speaker 8 (02:15:49):
I'm gonna move closer and keep my eyes pinned to
that spot that appears to be moving. When you say moving,
it's not just bubble. It's like the actual lava itself
is kind of like shifting.
Speaker 1 (02:16:03):
Something is sort of moving about inside like wow, Okay, okay,
it almost looks like something I don't take.
Speaker 8 (02:16:10):
My eyes off moving.
Speaker 1 (02:16:12):
Out of the magma. And there's As this thing begins
to move from inside the magma, you see flame erupt
from that location, and vaguely humanoid shapes that are on
(02:16:32):
fire begin to move from the magma, two of them
as bursting forth. You see a sort of grin in
the magma as two creatures emerge as they begin to
(02:16:58):
move towards you. What you do?
Speaker 8 (02:17:04):
I kind of stand there in wonder, you know, fully
aware that this this is this is just this is
new to me. I have not seen these kind of
creatures before. My first instinct should be at this point
to weapons.
Speaker 1 (02:17:25):
Let's find out if you have insight and insight, the
difficulty will be ten.
Speaker 8 (02:17:33):
Okay, insight and insie, it's just open check check okay, okay,
definitely ten. Oh, that's a nine it's a failure.
Speaker 1 (02:17:48):
Yeah. Uh, you're probably a little confused for a second.
But they are moving. Uh, and they too appear to
be moving towards you. And as they begin to move
towards you, you can feel the the heat start to
like ramp up. And then they start moving a bit quicker,
and they are rushing towards you. As it is time
(02:18:12):
two roll some initiative. As you see two flaming creatures
emerge from the magma rushing towards you. Okay, let's move
you over here. Oh oh, why are there bars showing up?
(02:18:42):
That's not okay, that's annoying. Okay, uh, let's do that.
Let's do this. Uh yeah, that's what I want updates. Okay, cool,
(02:19:06):
all right, uh let's get some initiatives please.
Speaker 8 (02:19:11):
Okay, let's see you didn't do wait did I do
that correctly?
Speaker 1 (02:19:19):
Just roll alright, thirteeneen, you get to go first. These
creatures are rushing towards.
Speaker 8 (02:19:27):
You, okay, huh, they're rushing towards me, all right, so
obviously obviously they're here to hurt me. My curiosity wears
off really fast, and I prepare, I prepare myself to
(02:19:52):
do a powerful blast so I'm gonna unleash the powerful
blast on multiple targets here. Uh so both of these
guys as well, wait there we go. All right, now
I've got both of them here, powerful blast.
Speaker 5 (02:20:05):
Please.
Speaker 8 (02:20:08):
A douche hopefully did that right?
Speaker 1 (02:20:13):
Okay, all right, and you're doing two targets. I assume, okay,
that is going to cost you twenty manna and then
let's see this is for forty untyped damage. So again,
what does this look like as you do this moon?
Is this like another sword aura type situation?
Speaker 6 (02:20:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (02:20:37):
So my sword, my sword instead of me glowing, is glowing,
and I feel like I'm channeling a little bit more
power since I've I've almost been restored by this magma,
by this sense of oh oh there's life, there's life
down here. Cool, time to take care of that. So
(02:20:59):
I kind of ramp up a sword just a little
bit and kind of I let it glow. And then
that glowed from the sword gets expanded off into the
distance and you see just like this beam, this huge
beam from the sword as it just gets carried off
(02:21:22):
into the distance, and some of their flames just go.
Speaker 1 (02:21:27):
Yeah, immediately, like some of their flames get put out
It's the equivalent of like some water getting poured on,
you know, like a bonfire. You know, you see like
some of the logs dim. You see like their bodies
sort of like and there's like a reaction from them.
(02:21:47):
They sort of wheel back, not expecting such a powerful
creature to do this to them, to do any harm. Okay,
is their turn.
Speaker 8 (02:22:03):
I yell at them. We could have been friends.
Speaker 1 (02:22:07):
Okay. They they don't seem to understand you. They have
some kind of uh yeah, they they don't. They don't
really react to your words as you try and communicate
with them. They will, however, try to belch fire at you. Oh,
(02:22:33):
first one is going to try to do this. That
is a miss. As it rushes forward, this fireball effectively
travels across the ground and you see it like kick
and roll over the ground towards you. Uh, you're able
to dodge out of the way of this blast spinning
(02:22:57):
on this first attack, it is your turn again.
Speaker 8 (02:23:01):
I feel this hot air go past my my my
person and just my hair's kind of knocked back, like
oh okay, okay, and I step back up and I
realize I I'm I'm really feeling it in my head,
like I shake my vision a little bit like ah,
(02:23:25):
and I am I am low amana. So I'm gonna
instead of using maybe maybe my mind for this one,
I sort of grin just like they're doing, and blindly
charged forward with death embrace and swing at them. We're
gonna swing at this first one. Here, see what happens.
Speaker 1 (02:23:48):
Come on, boy, you're gonna attack with your sword death.
Speaker 8 (02:23:52):
Embrace right right. Oh it's broken reverie. I'm I'm a
big dingus him. I know, I know. My My weapons
are called o't war yo. Here we go, there we go.
Speaker 1 (02:24:04):
Okay, that is a hit.
Speaker 8 (02:24:07):
I sort of jab forward like and the you can
see that there's more energy being imbued into this sword
as well.
Speaker 1 (02:24:14):
Absolutely as you strike you can feel it's like hitting
rock with the sword. There's like a flank. You drag
the sword across and you slice and you see this
like flame looking like it's trying to close over the wound.
As you you see a chunk of rock just sort
(02:24:35):
of fly off. The creature roars in pain. Okay, and
I shrug. The other one.
Speaker 8 (02:24:50):
I'm still in.
Speaker 1 (02:24:50):
This guy will try to attack you now and it
will breathe fire your way. That is a miss. This
creature starts to kick up the fire. You're totally expecting
it as you see this thing started to turn like
(02:25:14):
white hot for a second, and you know the fire's coming.
You raise up your shield and just kind of push
the fire away from you, repositioning yourself. It is your turn.
Speaker 8 (02:25:26):
I get out of like this crouching position, avoiding the fireball.
Jump back a little bit. Okay, how are there going
to be more of you? Why are there only two?
Speaker 13 (02:25:39):
You?
Speaker 8 (02:25:39):
Guys have friends somewhere. But it's fun, you know, it's
actually giving me something to do down here. So I'm
having a good time. And I swing my sword again.
I swing broken rebelry at this same guy, same same
lad right in front of me, ready for round two.
Speaker 5 (02:25:58):
Jeah.
Speaker 1 (02:26:00):
As you attempt to strike at this one, it probably
brings up both of its arms to block coming. As
the sword connects. You don't get your full swing in
as it blocks, and you see that sort of smile
creep up too far along the sides of its face,
its eyes glowing, and you feel the intense heat. Just
(02:26:22):
as you are in close proximity. You can see like
chunks of this creature starting to like fall off as
it's moving. It's almost like these chunks of rocks are
bleeding from it and it will not get another turn,
but you have one more turn.
Speaker 8 (02:26:44):
So this thing starts smiling at me as soon as
it was able to defend itself, so it knows it
wants to fight. It definitely wants to fight. And in
that and that by that token, I'm gonna try and
stop making friends and just respect the fight. Take back
the sword and go for another jab with broken revelry
(02:27:05):
at the same guy.
Speaker 1 (02:27:06):
Okay, that is a hit. As you strike at this creature,
the smile gets bigger and bigger, and as you attack it,
there is you connect with something inside and then it
gets really hot. As you see the chunks of this
(02:27:28):
creature that fall off begin to glow white hot, and
then boom, a detonation goes off. You are hit for
ten fire damage.
Speaker 8 (02:27:45):
And I'm patting myself down. You said ten.
Speaker 1 (02:27:48):
Yep, put my hair out the other creature. You can
see some of the chunks that fly out from this
one actually stick to it and they start to glow,
and you can see chunks of the other creatures start
to like patch up.
Speaker 8 (02:28:10):
Oh oh no, you don't same thing that happens with
broken revelry. I take it, but instead of a jab,
I go for a total lunge and a spin, so
it looks like a spin at first, and then a lunge.
It looks really freaking cool. And I try to pierce
this guy right in the middle. That is a hit,
(02:28:35):
and I feel like I connect with something.
Speaker 1 (02:28:38):
Playing awesome slice again, taking another chunk out of this creature. Okay,
mmm uh, and that was your turn. Into the next round.
Okay uh, it is now the other creature's turn. It
(02:28:58):
will attempt to belch flame at you again. Oh man,
that is another miss. It's so hot moon Like, it's
gotta be like one hundred and fifty degrees fahrenheit in here, Like,
it is so hot it's you know, it's getting to
(02:29:19):
the point where you can feel your armor is like
cooking you a little bit.
Speaker 8 (02:29:24):
It passes by me and it blows not only just
like all over here, but like the cape.
Speaker 23 (02:29:29):
Everything is like, go ahead. I'm getting a little a
little warm, a little warm for sure.
Speaker 8 (02:29:40):
Okay, all right. The fatigue is starting to set in
also from the heat and the exhaustion, and I draw
back my sword again and lunge forward and make try
to make as accurate hit as I possibly can with
broken revelry again, that is it, hits sweat is like
(02:30:03):
coming off my face as I go forward and hit him.
Speaker 1 (02:30:06):
As you strike, you see that same smile again. Boom,
it detonates. As the chunks of the streets are connecting.
You can feel like all these minor burns accumulating across
your body as you're hit for another ten fire damage.
As these creatures fall.
Speaker 8 (02:30:35):
I shake myself off, I pat myself off, take off
my gloves, put my rope back, wipe my face off,
sit down on the ground. I am so thirsty, That's
(02:30:56):
all I can think about it. Oh it's dry in here,
it's hot, and it's and I look and I see
I see the ash where these things exploded, and I can't.
I kind of crawl over to where they are and
I feel it with my hands, and I'm aware I
(02:31:19):
just left my gloves behind, but I don't care. I
don't give a I don't give a rat sass. At
this point, I am, I am sweating and I smell.
Speaker 1 (02:31:31):
It, sulfur, sulfur and charcoal.
Speaker 8 (02:31:36):
Almost is it hot still?
Speaker 10 (02:31:42):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (02:31:42):
Yeah, you just like picked up what you picked up
like a coal from the fireplace, burns your hand. For sure.
Speaker 10 (02:31:54):
I need water.
Speaker 8 (02:31:56):
I look for anything on my person, kind of stupidly
pat myself down. I stand up, and I start walking
away from this heat. I look for any sort of cavern,
(02:32:17):
any sort of dark. Now at this point, I'm actually
craving the dark and the shadow. I look at the
lava and I just anything else comes out of there
can have me. At this point, I'm human. I'm human,
and I need I need hydration, and I have a
(02:32:39):
pounding headache.
Speaker 1 (02:32:42):
Oh please make a will power power full blast will
power will power.
Speaker 8 (02:32:50):
Oh open check. Oh my god, Oh how ow that's
a nineteen wow.
Speaker 1 (02:32:58):
Okay, h yeah, moon, you're able to keep it together.
Speaker 8 (02:33:09):
I walk forward and I hear my own footsteps, and
that's kind of allowing me to keep going. I do
not have like that much mana left at all, and
it is it is aware of how much I will.
I way way I way over used it. I went
way way way too hard. It's like when you when
(02:33:30):
you're when you're hungry, but you're like no, no, no, it's
only a couple more hours till dinner. I can make it.
I can make it. I can make it like a
long road trip. But then you realize there's nothing. There's
nothing for miles, and you're you're shaky, and your mouth
is dry, and your vision like I don't know if
if you, if anybody in this chat has had migraines,
(02:33:52):
or if whack, if you've had migraines, But like, I
start to lose, start to lose my vision just a
little bit, and I look back at the lava and
it because like a like a cloudy, like a nothingness,
like an orange nothingness, a lack a vision. And I
(02:34:13):
turn around and just move towards the dark, because it'll
be better to see nothing at all.
Speaker 1 (02:34:17):
Okay, make an insight and insight for me, please open check.
Speaker 8 (02:34:22):
Yeah, it's an eleven.
Speaker 1 (02:34:25):
Okay, come across the cavern that you emerged from. Getting
back into the darkness, it's cooler pretty fast. So as
you get away from the river of magma, it's cool
down significantly, start to troll. Your breathing moving away is
(02:35:00):
just so hot.
Speaker 8 (02:35:03):
I sit down for a second and all I can
hear now is the sound I think of my breathing,
and I realize been walking for a while. My gloves
(02:35:33):
are gone that's fine. I kind of think.
Speaker 12 (02:35:44):
Head holes in them. Anyway.
Speaker 1 (02:35:45):
There's there's like burns on your hand where you picked
up the yeah, yeah, like blisters.
Speaker 8 (02:35:58):
It's been a while since I've looked at my hands
because I've only ever had my arm around and I
just kind of stare at these blisters.
Speaker 1 (02:36:13):
Your hands scored.
Speaker 8 (02:36:17):
No, it's really the first time I've seen a wound
on myself and in a long time, and in a
weird way, it feels it feels like a reminder.
Speaker 1 (02:36:48):
What is it reminded?
Speaker 8 (02:36:51):
I don't know why, but I suddenly am just flooded
with memories of of main character and how he used
to read. And in the darkness, it's like I know
(02:37:14):
they're out there. I know they're out there.
Speaker 1 (02:37:20):
I can feel.
Speaker 8 (02:37:24):
And I don't know if I'm convincing myself that I
can feel them, but something about something about just feeling
the blisters on my hands, it reminds me of who
I am and my friends. I hurt, my friends, and
(02:37:48):
I stand up in the darkness, and the renewed sense
of purpose and confidence and the fervor that is unbecoming
because I really can't see and my head is pounding,
I stand up and I move. I keep moving forward
(02:38:10):
because I'm going to see my friends again and I'm
going to help my friends again. I do not want
to be I do not want to be the villain,
(02:38:32):
and I echo.
Speaker 1 (02:38:34):
Would you like to spend an ultimate point to recover
some mind points?
Speaker 8 (02:38:48):
Yes, my aching head says, yes, I spend an ultimate point.
Speaker 1 (02:38:53):
Okay, you regained fifty mind points with recovery.
Speaker 8 (02:39:00):
It's not it's not like all the pain goes away.
But it's like if someone just put like a cool
rag to my forehead. If you've ever been lying down
and you're just like, oh my god, I just I
just need a second. I just need a second, and
a cool rag is just applied, like oh for a second,
I feel like I can smell cucumbers because me and
(02:39:25):
Riley would do spa days and cool rags are a
part of our treatment. And I say out loud, I'm
going insane down here.
Speaker 1 (02:39:51):
Please make another insight and insight check.
Speaker 10 (02:39:55):
Open.
Speaker 8 (02:39:57):
It's a six.
Speaker 1 (02:40:03):
You say this, and it echoes your immediate vicinity.
Speaker 8 (02:40:13):
I'm going insane and it comes back.
Speaker 5 (02:40:22):
Insane.
Speaker 8 (02:40:27):
Insane, yeah, attracts.
Speaker 1 (02:40:53):
And sits in the dark. There.
Speaker 8 (02:41:00):
I fold my legs.
Speaker 1 (02:41:05):
That feeling of the blisters on your hands. You know
when you have blisters, and like every little movement stings.
It's like when you first held a sword, you first
(02:41:29):
wielded your shields trying to hit something with them. Straps
pour into your arms.
Speaker 8 (02:41:38):
I was such a rookie, wasn't I. I had no idea,
no idea, no idea.
Speaker 10 (02:41:54):
I was.
Speaker 8 (02:41:58):
It's pretty sure of myself.
Speaker 1 (02:42:52):
You sit there for some time. Is the laughter turns
to years? Do you feel like this moment is the
(02:43:14):
most alone that you've ever been?
Speaker 8 (02:43:19):
No?
Speaker 5 (02:43:24):
No, No.
Speaker 8 (02:43:26):
The most alone I've ever been was and I look
down at my hands. The most alone I've ever been
was when I was hurting my friends and I say nothing.
Speaker 1 (02:43:59):
There is a paying from your quest log begins to
echo throughout your.
Speaker 8 (02:44:16):
I wipe my tears, your head, what I have blinked?
My eyes kind of reach out.
Speaker 1 (02:44:36):
There's a flashing active quest get answers. You can see
a new addition to get answers. Another objective of this
(02:44:59):
quest that you have, Tim Cross, asks you to find him.
What does he want from you?
Speaker 8 (02:45:19):
Cross?
Speaker 1 (02:45:20):
See your other quest subjectives. Find out why you can
absorb emberstone? Why is Tim Cross.
Speaker 8 (02:45:28):
Here at that question, why is Tim cross here? I
stand up and now now I'm not only rested and
(02:45:51):
I'm angry enough. Then I start walking further into the darkness.
Speaker 5 (02:46:02):
Nami no iluma emer.
Speaker 8 (02:46:06):
Give me, let me say, I get to eat then
your animal.
Speaker 1 (02:46:27):
