Enjoy.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
The group sets out from Felisia or the airship, and
I believe it's nighttime that you set out. Currently, Rue
(01:14):
is in the pilot's chair with Greg navigating, and UM,
we're gonna start things off today with a oh, we're
gonna do a travel roll. Rue, you are piloting. We're
(01:35):
going to have you do the travel role.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Okay, that's the D twenty.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Or deck stacks I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Checking right now. Mhm, this is gonna be D eight.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
As I've been driving the airship, occasionally I'll sort of
lean on the steering wheel and turn to Greg and
start talking to Greg. And the last hour I've been
essentially divulging various dancing techniques and different types of dancing.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Everl a six.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
So let me get this straight. You are doing your
researching dance while you were piloting.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
I'm info dumping to Greg about dance.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yes, okay, this is a six. Oh okay. Greg has
given you all a little bit of a heads up
(03:09):
with Temprea and Alan Drath, and I believe it was
Enders that asked originally, like along with Rislith if there
was any stuff that you had to worry about if
you're taking the airship to get there, And the only
(03:33):
thing that Greg imparted to you was, Hey, you're gonna
have to probably park the ship away like we did
near Felicia. However, as you are flying, you start to
(03:54):
notice in the night that there is a well, the
moon that seems to circle around Rigalia. It has a
(04:19):
red tinge to it. Now you haven't seen this before,
but it's not quite a blood moon like we have
a mirth. It looks hazy. The shape of the moon
(04:42):
is a bit distorted. There appears to be a red
tinge to some clouds nearby.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
I don't know each of you noticed this, but since
you did the roll through, you can have picked you
could be the one that picked it up.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Hey, Greg, does that moon look kind of funny to you?
Speaker 6 (05:16):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Greg steps away from the map that I think probably
Enders is speaking with him about and walks over to
the nearest window and takes a look outside that sort
(05:41):
of shaking.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
I turn around in my seat and I lean over
so I can look at Enders.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Hey, the moon.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Looks all like bloody.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
I think it's coming from the clouds or something. It's
not exactly a blood moon. Maybe you should come look
at it.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
M I'll walk over slowly and look at where they
are pointing. I guess I could do inside check. I
don't I don't know who they are.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Just do an open check. O.
Speaker 7 (06:26):
Is it inside inside or inside anything elseide?
Speaker 8 (06:31):
Nope.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
So you can see what they're talking about. But I
don't think you really understand what's happening yourself. To be clear,
what this looks like? Again? You know how when we
have a blood moon sort of just it's almost like
a filter gets put on the moon, you know, has
that just kind of that red appearance. It's not the
(06:53):
whole moon that's red. It looks like parts of it are,
or maybe clouds around the moon or red. The edges
are blurred. It almost you might you know, rub your
eyes or something for a second, like maybe that's something
in your eye and your vision was distorted. But no
matter how much you rub your eyes, it's it's not
(07:16):
really changing. It looks like the moon is just kind
of distorted and there's this red sort of tinge around
the perimeter of it eclipsed.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Maybe I don't know.
Speaker 7 (07:39):
When, since I navigate the sky often, I look up often.
Well I did, I guess you could say, did I
ever notice any other things in the sky that didn't
What's say it was an other planets, moons, anything, It's just.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
Side from the stars. Yeah, I mean nothing. Nothing that's like,
you know, super close to rigalia.
Speaker 7 (08:04):
No idea. Did I have something to do with the
mouse from an eclipse? Oh m hmm.
Speaker 8 (08:16):
Do we know anything about like our guests, the stars
and stuff in this place? Because maybe enders is onto something,
you know, maybe it's some sort of weird uh, like
I don't know Emberstone eclipse question mark?
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Are you asking the group or are you asking me?
Speaker 8 (08:43):
I'm asking someone. I say, hey, I risk do you
know anything about the moon? Then the stars and stuff?
Speaker 9 (08:54):
I'm flipping through one of the books that my grandmother
gave me and I'm trying to replicate one of the
symbols on myself at the moment, so you would see
me kind of just flipping and trying to trace it
(09:15):
magically as perfectly as I can. What was your question?
Speaker 8 (09:20):
I mean, didn't end. I just mentioned something about the
moon being weird? What did I know? If we know
anything about the moon and stars and stuff, you know, like,
what's up there? Is that moon? Is that our Moon's
not moon? Really? I mean, is it?
Speaker 7 (09:30):
Is it Luna?
Speaker 8 (09:31):
What is it up there? I've never really thought.
Speaker 9 (09:38):
Of my time in ellen draft. Do I remember anything
about any of the people they're talking about the stars
or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
I'm sure you did. You can make an insight insight
open check.
Speaker 9 (09:56):
Sixteen.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Yeah, this was never This never came up in any
conversation about like some sort of cosmic event or anything
along those lines. There's lots of various like history of
the stars, and the people here have their own constellations
(10:20):
and whatnot. But in regards to the moon, it will
take on some different shades based on its position, you know,
how much atmosphere it's making its way through. But there's
no history of this happening that you're aware of.
Speaker 9 (10:44):
Well, I mean I have heard of things about the
moon here taking different hues depending on its position, but
nothing like this. This is quite an interesting phenomenon now
that I'm looking up.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Do we have anything like a telescope on board?
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Has anyone seen anything like that?
Speaker 9 (11:06):
Or like a spyglass? We could use a fabula point
for it, that's true.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Oh wait, maybe this button does something.
Speaker 5 (11:17):
Can I spend my fabula point to Okay, spend my
fabula point. I see a button that has the icon
of like an eyeball on it, just like a symbol
of an eyeball, and I press it without any hesitation,
and you see essentially maybe like a periscope sort of
(11:40):
thing just pop down. Perfect. Oh well, maybe someone should
have a look.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
I have no idea what this does, but I'm hoping
the sound effect is appropriate as this as this uh
sort of mechanical device gets uh deployed, you see the
(12:16):
uh you see this like instrumentation light up on one
of the panels nearby, and there's like a I guess
kind of like a shitty sort of you know, like
a reverse cam uh in your in your car. It's
a little bit like that. Yeah, it's it's a little
(12:37):
bit like that, but it's it's the technology is not
quite the same. It looks like it's done with probably
like a bunch of mirrors and things. As the there's
like a a wheel you know that you have to
like turn to change its rotation, like where it's looking.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
As I can you need to drive, I'll just gesture
over towards it for someone else to check out.
Speaker 7 (13:06):
An ocularicon, Well, do.
Speaker 9 (13:15):
You want me to take a look? I've got good eyes,
I guess no, huh, all right, I'm gonna go. No,
can you show me where to put my eyes on
this thing?
Speaker 7 (13:28):
It's an Ocularican cynuris technology is a chaft here. You
pull that to your eye and you use your best
eye to look through it. The mirrors will then amplify
whatever you see in the distance, and good luck from there.
Speaker 9 (13:47):
Okay, do I follow the instructions to the best of
my ability?
Speaker 10 (13:51):
Wrong?
Speaker 7 (13:52):
It's above that one?
Speaker 8 (13:54):
Okay, right, yep, okay.
Speaker 7 (14:01):
If you need to twist that norm, I twist.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Yeah. As you do, it begins to do about what
you'd expect. It magnifies things like you're looking through a telescope.
There's several like lenses that slide into place like and
we you can now sort of see this phenomena happening
(14:32):
in front of you.
Speaker 9 (14:36):
Are there any men on the moon?
Speaker 1 (14:40):
You definitely can't see that. But the moon looks really
freaking big in your vision right now. And as you
look at the sort of like the edge, the moon
looks like it's falling apart. There are pieces breaking off
(15:08):
from the moon.
Speaker 9 (15:13):
And does it look as though there's any sort of
cause that I can identify, like any sort of like
solar flaring or anything that indicates kind of why these
pieces are breaking off?
Speaker 1 (15:28):
You can make an insight and insight this is a
roll check. Difficulty will be twelve. Because of this device.
Speaker 6 (15:40):
I will start the session off strong with lucky seven
here because I feel like this is important.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
So I'm going to swap that seven or that four
for a seven.
Speaker 8 (15:51):
I had a ten.
Speaker 9 (15:52):
Now this should bring me up to a thirteen.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
Okay, thirteen.
Speaker 11 (16:01):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
There are tendrils of what appears to look like a
cloud of red that seem to be reaching towards the moon.
This reminiscent of some of what you have seen these
(16:26):
strange emberstone reactions happening where the emberstone turns into a gas. Okay,
you see what appears to be small meteorites at the
Moon in their way to rigalia.
Speaker 9 (16:49):
Oh so they're they're looking like they're going to hit
the place basically.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Oh yeah, they're going into orbit and they're gonna ye it.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Okay.
Speaker 9 (16:58):
And so just so that visually my rain can understand this,
you're saying that the clouds nearby look as though they're
the ones with the tendrils pulling towards them.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
I'm just saying it kind of looks like clouds are
reaching towards the moon. And that's the nearest thing that
you can tell is the cause of this.
Speaker 9 (17:19):
What in the twilight, Princess?
Speaker 8 (17:22):
What walk?
Speaker 9 (17:24):
I'm gonna stumble back a little bit, have a look,
and I'm going to try to point it out to them.
You see, look at look at the clouds there. Some
of the pieces are being torn off.
Speaker 8 (17:40):
The clouds being torn off.
Speaker 9 (17:42):
No, no, look at the moon.
Speaker 8 (17:45):
You have to describe it for me, okay.
Speaker 9 (17:49):
Oh right, so the moon.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
You know, you know what a.
Speaker 8 (17:53):
Moon looks like, either a viking or a big white disc.
Guess right?
Speaker 9 (17:59):
So, oh, the moon right now is taking on this
reddish queue in certain parts. Oh, and essentially the clouds
nearby one close by looks like it it has these
tendrils that are pulling towards the moon, and there are
(18:19):
pieces coming off of it. There are meteorites coming off.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
It looks like it's still mostly intact, but like yeah, yeah,
like it's stuff's breaking off from the moon.
Speaker 8 (18:33):
Wait, the moon's breaking off? Didn't, didn't Bruise say, she's
all red like it's it's red and hazy up there? Right?
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Wait?
Speaker 7 (18:42):
What?
Speaker 8 (18:42):
No? You don't think You don't think the moon is
made of emberstone, do you?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
H doesn't look like emberstone and the which you're looking
at right.
Speaker 9 (19:01):
No, but it is having a similar reaction.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Eh.
Speaker 8 (19:06):
Well, maybe maybe the moon has like I don't know,
like a weird dust layer and the rest is but
I don't know. That's weird, so more than emberstone can
do the weird emberstone transition thing. That's weird. That's strange.
That sounds dangerous. But what does it mean?
Speaker 9 (19:24):
Could it have to do with the maelstrom?
Speaker 8 (19:29):
I don't know. The mailstream is getting bigger, isn't it?
Speaker 7 (19:34):
The larger the maelstream gets. I could be wrong about this,
but from my observation of it, it seems like more
magic pores in and out of it at the same
time it's imbalanced. It cause issues with this world. Who knows.
The mailstrom also leads to.
Speaker 8 (19:53):
You think that a drain somewhere. You think it's like
a big old kind of like big old drain.
Speaker 7 (20:00):
Oh. If there's magic pouring out of it has to
come from somewhere, And if it's pulling from something, it
has to come also from somewhere. There's an imbalance and
power it could be suffering at the moment. Larger than
Milton gets some more wild it.
Speaker 8 (20:15):
Gets, say pilot. So if I didn't hear correctly, bits
of the moon are falling down toward the Earth. Maybe
perhaps we need to make sure none of it's coming
our way.
Speaker 12 (20:31):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
I'm driving as fast as I can before Greg starts
yelling at me.
Speaker 8 (20:40):
Okay, I just don't know if it's possible to dodge
a meteor if it comes our way.
Speaker 7 (20:45):
In it's quite distant.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
The airship starts vibrating again, like when you were chasing
down the friends ship.
Speaker 8 (20:54):
The moon is quite far. But we are the main character,
so you know, if anything was going to happen to us.
Speaker 9 (21:00):
Why would you wish this into existence.
Speaker 7 (21:03):
I suggest we drive this normally, more stress you put
on it, the more dangy blesten.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Yeah. I'm gonna save the Jews for.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
Whenever we're in a situation. Things seem fine right now.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
I have a question.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
Is it Mailstrom big enough that even at a distance
where we are now, can we see it?
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Uh? So, I imagine you can make an insight insight as
a group, and we'll say that the difficulty will probably
be fourteen.
Speaker 7 (21:49):
Okay. Is it Malstrom having any runoff? Like, is there
any lightning or clouds formed?
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Is it messing up the Let's find out if he
can see it first?
Speaker 7 (21:58):
Okay, because I was saying that will help our vision
if it's right sky related.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
I don't think you're getting any bonuses.
Speaker 7 (22:06):
For this, okay, So we're not doing bonds.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
I mean you can get whatever your normal bonds are.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
I think he's talking about additional bonuses on top of that.
Speaker 7 (22:17):
Oh no, no.
Speaker 8 (22:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
So I've started the group check insight insight.
Speaker 9 (22:22):
Two successes so far.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
So looking.
Speaker 7 (22:34):
I'm seeing right, I've got a selective vision.
Speaker 8 (22:40):
Yeah, selective my rain she's weird, so cut off off
to sixty feet.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
So uh yeah, it's uh, it is visible. It's big
enough that it is still visible at this distance. There's
always been like army activity around the rift. It's always happened.
It's always been a little bit chaotic. Sometimes it's you know,
(23:10):
sometimes it's a simple thunderstorm. Sometimes it looks like a
really bad hurricane out there. When you look right now,
it's definitely that latter one, Like it looks like a
really bad hurricane. There's some really nasty looking clouds that
are tinged with red, and you can definitely see some
(23:30):
like red lightning. And it's very far away from where
you are right now, so it's kind of crazy that
you can still see it.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Could we see any interaction with the sky and the
Maelstrom beyond?
Speaker 1 (23:48):
I don't think so. There's there's probably a wall of
clouds there. It's tough to see.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
Well, at least we are flying away from the Maelstrom
right now.
Speaker 13 (24:03):
M hm.
Speaker 9 (24:09):
Well, at any rate, perhaps when we get to know
Sisia after our transport to the capital here, and perhaps
we ask them about if they have information on the Moon,
maybe that'll give us some more insight. Anders you were
going to.
Speaker 7 (24:28):
Say something, Well, yeah, I was trying to pay attention
to the moon and it's whatever's ripping off of it.
Is it flowing towards the Maelstrom?
Speaker 1 (24:36):
I can't tell.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
So when we see the pieces going, you can't tell
what direction they're going.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Yeah, it's just it's too so far, it's really far.
It's also very I mean, if you look through this
ocularian device, I imagine that there's so much like kind of happening.
It's really difficult to track whorse stuff is going. You know,
It's just it looks the only thing that you can
(25:05):
really see in the clouds. They're kind of obstructing what's
going on, but you can see probably like bits of
the moon kind of you know, like if you've seen
a meteorite like enter the atmosphere kind of like flashes
for a second, lights up. I think you might see
like little like like out tracks of light.
Speaker 7 (25:27):
Yeah, all right, fair enough. I don't think we're in
the immediate danger. Plus, we don't want to overdrive inside
of a protected zone. It'd be even more fun to explain, right, Yeah,
that was sarcasm.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
You just.
Speaker 8 (25:50):
Oh, what's the difference?
Speaker 9 (25:54):
Oh, you know, sarcasm kind of is a joke, isn't it.
But empters but at any rate, I guess we should
figure out what we wish to say to the Queen, right,
What's what's our game plan here? I mean, obviously we
(26:16):
want to definitely reiterate that we are looking to pay
our respects would be the first opening thing I would assume.
Is there is there anything else that I mean, obviously
we want to ask about traveling freely past our borders
towards No Sissia. Was there anything else?
Speaker 7 (26:38):
Yeah, so we give the reason why we are even
occupying this airspace in the first place, which is, oh,
the world may be ending. It might be a good
way at the start. Believe urgency it's probably the best
course of action. But then again you're more accustomed to
whatever way that will live and deal with their see here.
(27:01):
But I would definitely make sure that you mentioned and
be truthful about what's happening, and then probably include the
idea that the Empress is willing to do anything it
takes to save Regalia as well.
Speaker 8 (27:18):
Not to rip off chicken little, but the sky is
literally falling, so we could also mention that as part
of the urgency.
Speaker 7 (27:25):
No right, Oh, and do let them know that the
mall stream has grown and that is encroaching online apparently.
Speaker 8 (27:36):
And the Moon is breaking the pieces? Is that related?
Do you reckon?
Speaker 7 (27:44):
Absolutely?
Speaker 5 (27:48):
We should also see if anybody else is talking about
the towers going down.
Speaker 9 (27:54):
Might find out more about the towers and if there
are any other towers too.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
So just just a note. You did hear from the
spirit caller in Felisia that that's how they got the
information about the tower from case they from Tempria.
Speaker 9 (28:14):
Yeah, so we just want to know I guess, I
guess we just want to know where the tower went down.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
Then yeah, yeah, we need specifics.
Speaker 7 (28:28):
Also, we need the support of the queen because the
bigger issue is who was causing all of this mmm.
And if my memory says me correct what it probably doesn't.
I don't think a lot of people even like Moon.
Speaker 8 (28:48):
You take that back, she's the savior, right, she's a valkyrie. Well,
I mean when you say that, I mean, but I
mean we say Moon, I think the savior, But I mean, like,
has a reputation of the Cree really gone? That thought
is what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (29:02):
It's happened before, it seems to have a history.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
I look over to Greg, Hey, you were with her
all these years? Do you know, where she has friends
who might see her as Moon and remember her as
Moon and not the Valkyrie.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Yeah, there's uh, well, usually the places where she had
some sort of epic battle that saved them, that's those
are usually the places that like her. It's not really complicated, honestly,
(29:49):
but she's had to do some things throughout the years
that were well ugh on her and well other countries
and stuff didn't like it. A mile Offax is one
of them.
Speaker 8 (30:13):
He said, I forgot. He said that she has friends
in places where she saved people, So I guess it
makes sense. You know, people who would have given her
the title of Savior would probably still like her. So
(30:34):
there's that.
Speaker 9 (30:35):
Well, does she have friends in ellen Dress Were there
any fights there?
Speaker 4 (30:39):
Do we know?
Speaker 7 (30:42):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Yeah, kind of mixed in alan draft, primarily because of well,
she said something went wrong.
Speaker 7 (30:57):
A while ago.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
They basically like some sort of mission that she did
in Syntharis, uh with some of the people in ellen Drath,
and well it didn't go super well. So there are
some people that don't really like her there, but I
(31:21):
think most people probably do. I would say most of
the time, mill Offax are usually the people that don't
like her so much, and well, she's had some issues
with some of the people from as Gore and Tessa
as well.
Speaker 8 (31:47):
He said that like people that really jive with Moon
around like I don't know where we're from, like Millifax
and and and as Goal and such. But but but Greg,
did you say that it's mixed here in Ellen draft? Yeah,
well he's he said that, while so it's kind of
mixed here. So she has friends but are not anywhere
(32:11):
close by apparently.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
Mmm, I see.
Speaker 9 (32:16):
And what about Cyntharis, that high technocrat He introduced himself
to us in Coga when we first arrived.
Speaker 8 (32:24):
M Greg said that there's a bit of weirdness between them,
but I don't know if it's bad weirdness necessarily, just
not like you know, oh buddy buddy, right Greg.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Greg looks shocked when you say this. What the High
Technocrat of cynthauris? When did you meet them?
Speaker 8 (32:54):
When did we meet them? A long time ago?
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (32:58):
In Coga he was he was very close and he spoke.
He took a really really really big interest in me.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah. So the high Technocrat and Moon, Uh, that's weird.
What do you mean what happened?
Speaker 8 (33:20):
Greg says? What happened.
Speaker 9 (33:25):
Well, we were stan I think it was enders and
I if I recall correctly, And did we go up
to them? I don't remember myself. Did we go up
to him or did he come up.
Speaker 7 (33:39):
To us imprisoned us?
Speaker 14 (33:44):
No?
Speaker 8 (33:45):
No, you mean he was.
Speaker 9 (33:47):
The one that made Iris really uncomfortable because he was
he was being so personable with her and she didn't
expect it.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
Oh, I don't remember that.
Speaker 8 (33:57):
This was when I all that stuff and almost blew
up right.
Speaker 9 (34:03):
Yes at the very Oh god, this was so long ago.
Well what do I recall? Well, I recall him seeming
very interested in speaking with us.
Speaker 6 (34:18):
M h.
Speaker 9 (34:19):
I think his name was Varen Varen kai Kylos. He
said that he looked forward to getting to know us more.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
Greg is and that's what he said. He's really hard
to read. It's really hard to read Greg. In general,
this is not hard to read. Greg looks shocked. Leaves Yeah,
like you can see both of his eyes looks shocked.
Speaker 8 (34:56):
H Oh, No, it's Greg, okay uh.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
And he talked to Moon.
Speaker 8 (35:12):
You was Moon? There was Moon hers by then. I
think Moon was nice.
Speaker 9 (35:19):
She wasn't with us at that time. I recall we
were kind of lingering. It's when we met a couple
of people and I had wished to introduce enders.
Speaker 12 (35:27):
Oh.
Speaker 9 (35:27):
I remember Andrews had forced me to talk to the
High Technocrat because he wanted to help me work on
talking to people here. And I we we had noticed
the leader of Brahm or the leader of the military
from Brahm, I don't remember it. And Andrews was a
little bit reluctant, so we held off on that.
Speaker 7 (35:50):
I wouldn't that end has forced you to do something
out of your wheel?
Speaker 9 (36:00):
Well, it wasn't. It wasn't too to upset me or
to do anything of that sort. It was to kind of,
uh push us to get to know others in detect
understandable help me. I guess as if I.
Speaker 7 (36:13):
Am telling I am telling you to do the same
with the Queen.
Speaker 8 (36:19):
I suppose.
Speaker 7 (36:22):
Interesting, Well, what of it were have you something that
we did? Now?
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Greg's Greg is molting, pacing like super fast back and forth,
and it looks very pensive, losing leaves.
Speaker 9 (36:41):
Great, are you okay?
Speaker 1 (36:47):
I uh okay, so uh the High Technocrat is really
scary and they okay. So for a long time Moon
(37:09):
really didn't like that guy, and there was well there
was talk about potentially killing him, and it got stopped
because of well, some peace talks, and Syntharis was one
(37:35):
of the original countries that tried to well do something
about the storm veil raft and that's kind of the
only reason that Moon didn't kill him.
Speaker 9 (37:54):
Hmm.
Speaker 11 (37:56):
Okay, a uh, He's threatened us a lot over the years.
Speaker 1 (38:10):
Moon has upset a lot of his operations along the
border and personally disrupted several of the battles that happened
between Ellen Dress and Centauris.
Speaker 8 (38:28):
Okay, so he's no buddy of moons. In fact, he's
a he's the opposite of a buddy of moons because
Moon wanted to kill him but didn't because of peace talks.
All right, So I guess what about him? Do we
need to talk to him about this stuff? I mean,
we're friends of the same, but.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
From what I understand, he's one of the people that
worked with some of the scientists and A Tessa and
Bravosina to create the Emberstone Towers to keep the storm
veil rift at Bay.
Speaker 8 (39:10):
Oh oh, when that case is very important. We have
to speak to him before he gets killed by Moon.
Speaker 9 (39:17):
What we have to speak to him.
Speaker 8 (39:20):
Because he is one of the people who was behind
making the towers in the first place. Apparently how old
is he?
Speaker 1 (39:30):
I don't know, but probably you know, like middle aged
for an elf.
Speaker 7 (39:41):
All right, all those talks of killing and centaris and
allan draft, all this stuff that we are convoluting our
mind to. I need to say, focus, where are we
right now?
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (39:51):
And I run to the map.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
You're not too far from Tempora, maybe a few miles out.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Should be pretty soon that we come up on it.
Speaker 5 (40:01):
The entire time, I've kept my eyes ahead and I'm
just driving.
Speaker 9 (40:09):
So you think we should speak with.
Speaker 8 (40:11):
Foreign Maybe if he knows anything about making the towers
in the first place, you can probably explain that I
don't know like how to do something.
Speaker 9 (40:22):
Or what the tower's actual function is.
Speaker 8 (40:25):
And does it have anything to do with the moon.
Speaker 9 (40:31):
Well, if he's involved in all of that, that's very important,
You're right, mm hmm. Well, then I guess we're torn
between two things now, right, Well, we're going to have
to speak with the queen anyway.
Speaker 8 (40:47):
But I mean we're torn between like five or six
things at this point. Right we have to go to
Tempura and talk to the queen. We have to go
to Nassia and talk to the to the weird people.
We have to go to broad because because and this
wants to go talk to bron people, We've got to
go to Plat, I guess because there's like a thing there.
There's stuff around, right, and also there's a there's another
tower where we first came from as well, wasn't.
Speaker 7 (41:08):
There, right, Yeah, we should stick to the player. I'm
sure that high techmocrats is not a pushover, and they
are already alerted at what's happening, seeing they're the closest.
Speaker 9 (41:23):
Right well, I mean depending on where the tower fell
as well, he might be ver investigating or something. I
would imagine that he would be involved in that if
he was involved in the creation.
Speaker 4 (41:36):
But I don't know.
Speaker 8 (41:38):
Do you reckon all the world leaders talk to each other?
Speaker 9 (41:41):
I mean probably to some degree, especially with bordering nations,
even though they hate each other. They are cousins as well.
Speaker 15 (41:48):
Well.
Speaker 8 (41:49):
We could ask a scaly lady if she knows anything too,
you know, true.
Speaker 9 (41:53):
Are they not a lie like Allied in some fashion
Cinsaaris and Millifax, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (41:59):
Well, were they on the same side of the war, hmmm?
Speaker 9 (42:03):
They were?
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Coga was kind of the spearhead in setting up the
negotiations with everybody. They've sort of been neutral throughout the years.
Speaker 8 (42:18):
Uh and.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
Usually if something really bad is happening, they do have
a way of reaching the people in rise in Coga.
Speaker 8 (42:34):
Okay, Well, Greg says that, well, Coga kind of is
the un of this place. I guess the Switzerland, like
they talk to everybody. But like, I don't know, the
Dragon Woman said that, like Empress she said that, well,
(42:55):
she she had the power to teleport us and stuff.
I wonder if she asked people who could just talk
you know, intelligence and all that stuff, because I don't know,
I mean, we'd have to go all who had to
Coga for anything Coga related, right, like teleportation.
Speaker 7 (43:15):
Also, I would like to point out, and maybe it's
not a right assumption, but if Valkyrie wanted that a
technocrat dead, he would already be dead. Well true, it
seemed like the top of a priority list.
Speaker 8 (43:35):
I mean, if you did see how she turned dragons
into paper, you know, yeah, she could probably rip the
world in half if she wanted. To wonder what she's doing.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
Hmm, there's like a single frame where we see moon
looking outside, you know, the window of like of her hotel.
At this guy ju making its way towards the city.
Speaker 7 (44:00):
I'm sure she's fine, probably destroying more of the world mm.
Speaker 8 (44:05):
Hmmm, probably.
Speaker 7 (44:09):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 8 (44:10):
I wish there was some weighted No anyway, stamp over
and grab.
Speaker 7 (44:20):
Bo by his whatever he has dangling and lift him up.
And I'm using that all the way to the back
of the airship and hould him out there. There's what
your moon is up to?
Speaker 8 (44:35):
Well, I mean I was being more literal, you know,
like where she was she doing? Not you know the
mess you could You can drop me about a dog.
Speaker 7 (44:44):
Turn around and flop him down. How literal do you
need to be?
Speaker 8 (44:51):
Just a turn of phrase enders, you know, like you know,
I wonder what they're doing now, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (44:59):
It's my ahead and walk over to walk back over
to them, and they have.
Speaker 8 (45:03):
Just small talk it does, you know, like they do
on TV before before the counterpans where are you going again?
Speaker 3 (45:14):
All right, y'all, we're getting ready to descend.
Speaker 4 (45:17):
You should probably buckle up.
Speaker 8 (45:24):
Have buckles.
Speaker 3 (45:25):
There's chairs, we have chairs.
Speaker 4 (45:31):
I don't know if they have seats.
Speaker 8 (45:33):
I absorb a buckles.
Speaker 7 (45:35):
We had seats before that's are gone.
Speaker 4 (45:38):
Seats there.
Speaker 5 (45:39):
I don't know if there are seat belts, but I'll
begin to imagine it's.
Speaker 1 (45:43):
Not Star Trek. I think there are probably seat.
Speaker 8 (45:45):
Belts unless fabulous point.
Speaker 1 (45:51):
Yeah, so Rue, you begin to descend, and again it's nighttime.
So like, this is pretty tough. I would like you
to make a role for this. This is gonna be
Dexon Insight. Uh, this could potentially be a group role
if anybody's helping. Dexon Insight is the role.
Speaker 7 (46:15):
Okay, I mean I'm on the nap. I don't know
if that's helping.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
Difficulty difficulty is going to be twelve?
Speaker 16 (46:22):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (46:24):
Dexon Insight?
Speaker 8 (46:25):
What this check for for landing? Yep, mm hmm. I
guess I'll support. There you go, I hit the support button.
I don't know if I did anything.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
I do not see anything happening in there.
Speaker 3 (46:42):
It pops up a thing and you have to click.
Speaker 8 (46:45):
I did, but I guess if it didn't work, then
I did nothing.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
Okay, looks like that's it.
Speaker 8 (46:55):
Yes, disappeared to me.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
All right, Seventeen is plenty. Rue. This is challenging, but
you're getting pretty good at this. This is becoming old
hat to you.
Speaker 3 (47:07):
I'm also going very slowly.
Speaker 1 (47:10):
Yeah, it's there's a it's kind of difficult to find
a landing spot. You can now see the massive lake
much better in the area as you approach. Where are
you going on the map? Are you parking next to
the lake? Are you going north? Where you're headed?
Speaker 3 (47:29):
Let's pop on over to the map and have a lexie.
I want to park right here.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
You should be able to move.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
The token right here.
Speaker 1 (47:44):
Okay. Yeah, there's lots of trees. It's very similar to
probably like some of the areas that you saw in Millifax,
but it looks a lot different than Felisia. Felicia had
a lot of mountains in the background. This is a
lot flatter. There's some foothills in the distance, but you
(48:07):
can see this large lake down to the south and
it appears that Tempria rests on this lake. You begin
to descend and you're able to find a clearing. It's
not very big, and Rude does an excellent job of
parking the airship down here. I think it's a pretty
(48:27):
It's pretty impressive because there's not like a huge landing area.
As Rube begins to bring the airship to a stop,
it's hitch black outside with a little bit of moonlight.
Speaker 5 (48:43):
As soon as we've made a soft landing, I'll shut
down the engine.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
All right, we're here, starts stretching.
Speaker 9 (49:00):
Okay, well, are we all ready then to go into Tempria?
Speaker 8 (49:10):
Take me to your leader?
Speaker 14 (49:13):
M hm.
Speaker 4 (49:14):
We should probably let you do the talking.
Speaker 7 (49:17):
Yeah, you should go ahead and do the negotiation first.
Speaker 8 (49:20):
Good idea.
Speaker 7 (49:21):
What do we be outside? We all wearing the Queen's comments?
Speaker 9 (49:26):
M hmm, rite the Empress. I suppose I could smooth
that over first.
Speaker 7 (49:37):
Well, I believe speaking about the urgency and then bringing
us in might be a better course of action. But again,
do you know the ways of your people? I come
from a place of militia typically want to know up
front why we're there, but maybe different here. I believe
(50:00):
you have what it takes to do with it needs
to be done. You also have a piece of conviction
now stirring inside of you.
Speaker 9 (50:07):
Use it, right, Okay? Do you wish to travel to
Temprea all together? And then yes, I'll move ahead. Right,
come on, Greg, Okay, are.
Speaker 7 (50:28):
We are we?
Speaker 1 (50:32):
Greg looks towards bow and says, are you doing that
transformation thing again? Because you probably shouldn't do that.
Speaker 8 (50:41):
Oh, I'm sure. Okay, then I won't unless I fine,
I won't do it. Okay, fine, This is just a service,
you know, just a little thing I offer. But I
don't have to do it. I don't have to be
(51:03):
a really cool car or flying copet.
Speaker 7 (51:06):
I thought it was really cool.
Speaker 1 (51:08):
But I don't know if they will.
Speaker 8 (51:11):
Oh well, but fair enough. In that case, I'll just
glorup and become a backpack on the back of virus.
How about this? Yeah, the old number two.
Speaker 1 (51:22):
As long as you're not you know, coming in as
some sort of well I think it's sort of I
don't know what it was that you turned into, but
it kind of looked like some of the vehicles that
I've seen in mill Offax that would scare them.
Speaker 8 (51:45):
Oh okay, well, in that case, no more burgattis understood.
Speaker 4 (51:51):
Is Greg dance.
Speaker 3 (51:56):
See like heavy?
Speaker 1 (51:58):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (51:58):
That kind of dense he's made of?
Speaker 1 (52:02):
I mean his appearance looks like he's made of wood
and dirt and leaves, So I imagine, I don't know, middling.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
I look down at Greg and I asked him, Hey,
can I pick you up real quick?
Speaker 1 (52:20):
Why is I don't know, I just.
Speaker 8 (52:29):
Asked why he's asking, why do you want to do that?
Speaker 5 (52:34):
Oh, just for the information.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
In case of an emergency.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
Okay, is that no?
Speaker 12 (52:53):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (52:53):
He says, okay, pets his hands up for uppies.
Speaker 3 (52:55):
Okay. I try to pick him up.
Speaker 4 (52:58):
Yeah, it's a difficult.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
I mean, he's not light. He's probably like I imagine
he's probably like I mean, it's like you're picking up
a big almost like a rock. It's he's probably at
least one hundred pounds.
Speaker 4 (53:16):
Okay, I put him back down. Oh okay, all.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
Right, let's go.
Speaker 8 (53:21):
Oh your findings.
Speaker 3 (53:25):
About one hundred pounds? Huh hmm maybe yeah, Okay.
Speaker 9 (53:32):
They're like boones or something.
Speaker 14 (53:34):
Basically, I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (53:39):
Greg is still looking at rude, like, was there more?
Or is that it?
Speaker 5 (53:46):
No, that's it, don't worry about it.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
It strugs, yeah, it starts to walk off the airship. So, oh,
you leave the airship? You're doing anything here? Or what's
the plan the airship? What are you doing?
Speaker 9 (54:09):
I mean I would assume whatever the lock like locking
system Greg would know about, so we'd probably have him
lock it and then start heading out.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
Takes care of it, and I assume you're just walking
right there, right Okay, again, it's the middle of the night.
It's probably like about midnight honestly, so it's it's not
easy walking through the woods. It's a wooded area. It's
(54:40):
definitely flatter than what you were experiencing Fallicia. Felgia was
right on the border of mountains, so there was a
lot of foothills and a lot of you know, rocky
or terrain. This is you kind of walking through a
forest at this point in the middle of the night.
Does anybody have any light?
Speaker 9 (55:02):
I would cast lucks upon my staff, if that's all right,
to light it up so that we have some source
of vision here. Okay, but it probably wouldn't be crazy far.
I wouldn't imagine it's probably like a torch or something.
Speaker 8 (55:17):
I'm not doing anything quirky because Greg said I shouldn't
oky do.
Speaker 5 (55:23):
I'll try to sniff the air and just get a
sense of things around us, and just keep my head
on a swivel.
Speaker 1 (55:32):
Okay, dock.
Speaker 7 (55:34):
I can also cast fire in my palm. I mean,
it's not going to be do as good as the
light on our staff, but if need be, I can
do that.
Speaker 5 (55:45):
Looking at so in Fabulous Ultima, there are a consumable
called elemental shards that you can spend IP to generate. Basically,
they make ten damage of a type of your choice.
Speaker 4 (55:59):
Would you accept it?
Speaker 3 (56:00):
Like taking out a shard and just activating it, so
it is like light.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
Do you want to spend inventory points? I have no
problem with that.
Speaker 4 (56:08):
Okay, I will do that.
Speaker 5 (56:09):
I reached into my inventory and I pull out what
looks essentially like an orb and you see, almost as
if like heat, light beginning to coalesce at the bottom
of it, and it slowly swirls around and begins to
emanate a dim light around me or around the orb.
Speaker 3 (56:30):
So spin two.
Speaker 1 (56:32):
Okay, you got a few sources of light. The forest
is definitely quieter than you're expecting. It's got a little
bit of that same sort of feeling that you had
in Feliesia, where the creatures were much quieter than they
(56:53):
should be. You know, you can hear just a few
insect noises here and there, maybe some like tree frogs,
but it's very minimal, and you're in the middle of
the forest. It should be. There should be way more
(57:13):
nighttime forest sounds here. And there's definitely like an eerie
sort of vibe. I think that everybody's getting As you're
making your way through here, as you begin to approach Tempria,
(57:35):
you can see that there are lights and things, and
it's a bit brighter near that city. The light is
sort of cascading out on the lake. The city appears
to partly rest on the coast of this lake. And
(57:59):
it's a bit like annoying making your way through the
forest and the dark. Even with some light, it's kind
of like difficult to find your steps. But eventually you
come across a trail leading towards the city. It's not
quite a road, you find a trail. There are some
markers that I think, Irislith you would notice, similar to
(58:21):
trail markers, and you instantaneously understand what they mean, which
is essentially like the city is this way. Basically, as
you find these trail markers, most people would not notice them.
They're probably kind of a dark color on some of
(58:45):
the bark of some of the trees. They're not like
easily visible, but you instinctively know what to look for
and where to look for it on the trees, and
you find yourself following this trail towards the city. As
you approach, you can see there is some activity going
on in the city. There are some lights and stuff
(59:07):
moving around. It's not a big city with lots of technology,
though there's what appears to be some magical lighting. Maybe
there's even some fireflies that are trapped in some lanterns
here and there that seem to be illuminating gate you
(59:30):
can see. However, the architecture of the city is very
different than Millifax, very different than Cinthurists. You see what
is effectively like white marble towers and gold domed sanctuaries.
There are cascading aqueducts and tree canopied bridges with floral terraces.
Speaker 15 (01:00:00):
And.
Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
There are various streams that appear to be making their
way in and out of the city by various means,
by these aqueducts, by some clever positioning of some of
the terrain. It's quite beautiful. When you reach the edge
(01:00:25):
of the city, you can see that there is kind
of like an archway with a small bridge leading over
a small river. As you approach, you can see that
there are guards stationed there. What do you do.
Speaker 7 (01:00:46):
Your guards ahead, I've already folded in the shadow.
Speaker 9 (01:00:54):
I'll stand up street and I'll nod to the others
and walk forward to speak with the guards. Hello, good evening.
Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
Hold there, of course, what is your name and business?
Speaker 9 (01:01:15):
I am Irisalith and I seek to come to Tempria
to speak with the Queen. I am a hero of
Ellen Drath.
Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
They look at each other. I need an insight and willpower.
The difficulty will be twelve seventeen a hero of Ellen Drath.
One moment, please wait here. They motioned towards the other guard,
(01:01:54):
who sort of jogs away into the city. And it
looks like they stop. You're still in your line of sight.
It looks like they're using some sort of a pedestal
with a crystal on it. It glows dimly for a moment,
(01:02:20):
and after maybe like a minute, you see them jogging back.
He whispered to the other guard. Very well, you may
enter Tempria. However, are you carrying any weapons?
Speaker 9 (01:02:46):
Uh? Yes, my staff and I have my friends as
well with me.
Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
How many how many friends? How many are with you?
Speaker 9 (01:03:01):
I am going to go ahead and cast navigator here
to try to speak to enders.
Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
And am I mentioning you.
Speaker 7 (01:03:15):
Well if they ask, probably best not to lie, but
I would watch and where we who we represent or
who I represent.
Speaker 9 (01:03:27):
Yes, there are four companions with me in my party.
Speaker 1 (01:03:35):
Four companions, very well, please enter. We ask that you
keep all weapons drawn. And you see they reach into
a You see that they reach into like a basket,
(01:03:58):
and there's this a bright red sort of looking fabric
and it looks kind of like a bunch of scarves almost,
And they say, we ask that you peace bind your
weapons while you are.
Speaker 9 (01:04:14):
Here, very well, and to keep them out.
Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
The peace binding must be visible for your weapons. There
weapons that you may have. We ask that they are
peace bound, may tie this fabric so that they may
remain in their sheathes or holsters or quivers.
Speaker 9 (01:04:40):
Very good, thank you, and I'll wave the others over.
Speaker 8 (01:04:44):
I can't see these guns, baby, ah.
Speaker 5 (01:04:52):
You can see that I'm considering my inventory.
Speaker 7 (01:05:02):
They want, what what are we doing?
Speaker 9 (01:05:05):
Peace binding our weaponry so that they can see it
and that they know that it is unusable in town.
Speaker 7 (01:05:14):
Peace bind me?
Speaker 16 (01:05:18):
Hm hmm.
Speaker 7 (01:05:21):
I will summon my boll.
Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
Okay, you call it to me.
Speaker 7 (01:05:31):
No, they summon it and it just hovers next to me.
How does one peace bind?
Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
How are you doing this?
Speaker 7 (01:05:50):
What do you mean? I always have it trapped on me.
I don't put my weapons in my inventory.
Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
But I mean, how are you making it float?
Speaker 7 (01:05:59):
Oh? I use my to use my bow.
Speaker 8 (01:06:02):
Okay, enchanted weaponry.
Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
So the implication is that the weapon is enchanted and
it has some sort of telekinetic spell on it, and
it's just.
Speaker 7 (01:06:11):
That's how I that's how I've been using my bow
this whole time. It's something that goes in front of
me and I magically these arrows pull and shoot.
Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Okay. They say, uh, if you could please, I'm buying
the bow string.
Speaker 7 (01:06:36):
Oh, I'll tap it and na, the bow string will dissipate.
Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
They just kind of look at each other. If you
can still tie the still tie this upon your weapon.
The idea is that weapons are clearly visible and that
they are seethed or put away so that they cannot
easily be drawn or used inside question.
Speaker 7 (01:07:11):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:07:14):
They look at each other and then they for their
brows at you.
Speaker 7 (01:07:19):
It's the backpack.
Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
What was that.
Speaker 8 (01:07:23):
Pseudopods kind of like just spread out from Irish's back
like weird jelly like wings. And what if I'm like
a weapon.
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
And they start all a bit and you see that
they look like they're about to reach for their weapons.
Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
No, no, this is this.
Speaker 9 (01:07:38):
Is my my my friend.
Speaker 17 (01:07:42):
Go back to binding my string of my cor my
boat there drawing weapons. I'm like, here you got.
Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
Familiar or companion, a little.
Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
Bit of both.
Speaker 9 (01:07:58):
He's a protector, he protect it's me Hi.
Speaker 8 (01:08:03):
This is kind of like snap back in again. It's
whipping sound.
Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
The guards just look at each other like, what.
Speaker 7 (01:08:10):
Do you do?
Speaker 1 (01:08:10):
I don't. It's a slime, I think a can you
put this on your pseudo?
Speaker 4 (01:08:24):
Odd?
Speaker 8 (01:08:27):
I guess I slowly extend tendrill out, grab it and dissolve.
Speaker 7 (01:08:34):
It, all right?
Speaker 1 (01:08:38):
Tile is a red ribbon you said, it's essentially it's
like a scarf. It's like a red scarf. It's yeah,
peace bond, so peace binding a weapon. Typically, like if
you have a sword that's in a sheath, you would
tie the bond like on the hilt or something. And yes,
so it stays, so it stays.
Speaker 8 (01:08:59):
She can I have another?
Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
I'm sorry?
Speaker 8 (01:09:04):
Could have another?
Speaker 1 (01:09:08):
Are you going to do the same thing again? I
don't know.
Speaker 8 (01:09:11):
I'll try not to.
Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
Give you another one.
Speaker 8 (01:09:16):
Okay, I take it. It's kind of tied to my
like the one kind of like suit apart that kind
of sticks out like a ribbon.
Speaker 7 (01:09:24):
Tie. My bow and then I'll place it around my
body so is visible? Is this suffice?
Speaker 1 (01:09:35):
I suppose?
Speaker 9 (01:09:39):
And if I.
Speaker 7 (01:09:40):
Wanted to do anything harmful, I'll just burn the whole
city down. But I won't be doing that. And I'm
just giving them insurance. Isn't that what we do?
Speaker 1 (01:09:52):
They they look at each other a bit confused, and
now they're really starting to like, look you over and yeah,
who's wearing the outfits?
Speaker 7 (01:10:02):
I say, oh god, and I looked down. I meant
that as small talk as I look at bo and
then look back at them.
Speaker 8 (01:10:12):
He was being a sarcastic.
Speaker 7 (01:10:14):
Yes, it wasn't a joke.
Speaker 1 (01:10:16):
Wait are you ambassadors from Millifax? Hm?
Speaker 7 (01:10:23):
I looked towards eariously.
Speaker 14 (01:10:26):
Go on, they are.
Speaker 9 (01:10:30):
But before that they were my companions. And there is
a whole there's a whole thing about it that we
wish to explain to the Queen. I believe that the
spirit caller may have reached out in order to try
to see if we could possibly gain some sort of
an audience.
Speaker 1 (01:10:48):
Which spirit caller do you speak of?
Speaker 9 (01:10:53):
It was Silvara.
Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
Spirit Collar Silvara Felicia from Felicia.
Speaker 9 (01:11:00):
Yes, that is where I'm from.
Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
Yes, very well, you will have orian here follow you.
You may follow Orion Ryan will take you to the well.
(01:11:24):
You won't be able to speak with the queen directly,
of course, But things are rather chaotic tonight.
Speaker 9 (01:11:34):
Is everything all right?
Speaker 1 (01:11:37):
The guards like look at each other. Have you not heard?
Speaker 9 (01:11:45):
Do you speak of the rift?
Speaker 1 (01:11:48):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (01:11:52):
Is it having some sort of of effect here in
the city.
Speaker 1 (01:11:57):
No, but there has been an expanse of the rift.
Speaker 8 (01:12:05):
It is.
Speaker 1 (01:12:08):
Making landfall in several places.
Speaker 9 (01:12:14):
And I look back to the others. I see and
I heard rumor that it was perhaps something to do
with the towers. Do we know? Have you heard anything
about any of the towers?
Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
They just kind of shake their heads.
Speaker 7 (01:12:37):
We do not know, you.
Speaker 9 (01:12:42):
See, But the city is safe. None of the land
has fallen here.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
None of us are safe. If the rift grows.
Speaker 9 (01:12:53):
Of course, I just mean more immediately.
Speaker 1 (01:12:57):
For now. Question are they asking me a question I
don't understand. Yes?
Speaker 8 (01:13:17):
Is the moon normal right now?
Speaker 7 (01:13:18):
To you?
Speaker 8 (01:13:18):
Do you think the moon?
Speaker 6 (01:13:21):
Mm?
Speaker 8 (01:13:21):
Hmmm? Have you have you seen it?
Speaker 1 (01:13:24):
They look up. It does appear a bit red. It
is strange.
Speaker 8 (01:13:29):
Okay, it's not normal, is it? But not like a
cause for concern?
Speaker 1 (01:13:36):
Do you know something about the moon?
Speaker 8 (01:13:39):
No, but everyone's saying it looks weird. So I thought
maybe perhaps you might know something, but I guess you don't.
It's never mind.
Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
I'm unaware of anything happening with the moon. You you
feel very strange.
Speaker 9 (01:13:54):
Hm. We get that a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
Orian, please take them, I believe, perhaps to Captain Tallbrook,
and perhaps Captain Tallbrook can reach out to well one
(01:14:23):
of the court.
Speaker 7 (01:14:27):
Very well.
Speaker 1 (01:14:30):
Orian appears to be a probably like pretty uh pretty lean.
I imagine wearing like typical Ellen draft sort of colors,
where Eryslith you know, is wearing lots of like brown
(01:14:55):
and like cream colored sort of attire. I imagine there's
probably more green. There's probably a little bit of blue
in some of it, and there's some gold accents. They
have like a hood that's just kind of that's down
at the moment, but you can see that they have
elvish ears. Hair is probably about shoulder length, but otherwise
(01:15:21):
kind of Lithe sort of a stereotypical kind of elf.
I think there's the overall appearance here follow me.
Speaker 9 (01:15:30):
Please, of course, and thank you for all of your
assistance as much appreciated.
Speaker 1 (01:15:39):
They nod. The other guard kind of returns to duty.
As you follow O'Brien into o'rian, sorry, into temprea. Let's
go over here.
Speaker 8 (01:16:07):
Is this not floating?
Speaker 1 (01:16:08):
Okay, let's see if this can be fixed. I think
I know what the problem is yet one checkbox.
Speaker 7 (01:16:19):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (01:16:23):
Now it's nighttime and this is a daytime picture obviously,
but the u the architecture is impressing, impressive. There's like
it's like white marble, lots of arches, golden domes and
lots of those. If you've if you've been to California before,
I've seen a lot of these plants. But they have
(01:16:43):
like those really tall spindly plants, these trees that are
very thin, they have like very small radius to them,
but they're very tall. And you see a lot of those,
all of I don't know what kind of tree that is,
Otherwise I would I would just say that. But yeah,
(01:17:06):
there's beautiful gardens. There's beautiful like water features and bridges
across water. It's very much like an organic, flowing city.
Like the architectures built around the landscape. It's not quite
as heavily like wooded as you would expect, Like the
buildings aren't built into trees here, they're just kind of
(01:17:27):
built around the trees, cypress trees. Thank you. The architecture
is quite beautiful and it's very much trying to accentuate
the beauty of the area.
Speaker 9 (01:17:44):
And I see like in the image that you have there,
the water is kind of giving off those reflections. Is
there anything special about it that we would notice?
Speaker 1 (01:17:52):
Yeah, there looks like there is there's like probably I
think you sort of looks almost like fireflies floating above
the water. Whatever it is, it's it's quite beautiful and
it just gives like a nice diffuse kind of light
to the area, and it's it's just very It's just
(01:18:17):
a very beautiful place. It's not nearly as big as
some of the other cities that you've seen. This is
significantly more modest, but it is beautiful. And as you
make your way kind of past some streams and some
of these water features, Orion says, we are going those
(01:18:41):
stairs and we will be meeting with the the Guard
Captain Halbrook.
Speaker 9 (01:18:55):
Excellent. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:18:58):
They are a veteran of many battles, but I must
warn you they typically do not like outsiders. It is
rare for you see Orian just kind of like look
(01:19:18):
at a lot of you for non Elvish folk to
make their way into tempora.
Speaker 9 (01:19:29):
I see, well, we shall try our best not to offend,
and I look back at the others desperately.
Speaker 8 (01:19:40):
Ah, I mean, what do you mean by that? I've
never offended anybody ever before.
Speaker 7 (01:19:44):
Whatever do you mean?
Speaker 9 (01:19:48):
Just perhaps we just don't miss people off.
Speaker 8 (01:19:57):
How soon?
Speaker 7 (01:19:58):
I have a history of doing that.
Speaker 1 (01:20:00):
M hmm.
Speaker 9 (01:20:01):
No, No, I'm just speaking. It's in saying it just
in case anybody felt like being that way.
Speaker 8 (01:20:10):
Hm hmmm do you mean m but I mean.
Speaker 14 (01:20:18):
It'll be fine, mm hmm.
Speaker 9 (01:20:20):
I'm sure it'll be fine.
Speaker 8 (01:20:22):
I mean, are there things in Elfland like that are
like offensive that wouldn't be offensive in non elf Land?
Speaker 12 (01:20:29):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (01:20:30):
Good question?
Speaker 9 (01:20:31):
Is that something that would click in my brain now
that I've been having all of these memories flood back.
Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:20:37):
Are there any customs that we should be aware of?
Speaker 8 (01:20:41):
Picking your ear? Really?
Speaker 16 (01:20:42):
Really?
Speaker 1 (01:20:43):
Like manners are a big deal just in general, like
politeness and like properly introducing yourself by name, which you
kind of skirted a bit when you were at the
when you were meeting the guards. Yeah, that's that's kind
of a no no. And uh, just like any sort
(01:21:06):
of disrespect to any of like the higher ups is,
they do not take that well.
Speaker 9 (01:21:15):
Right, So would we know that they probably prefer to
be called by their titles, like, for example, guard captain
instead of Tollbrook.
Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
Uh yes, yeah for sure, unless they introduce themselves to
you by name excellent, Okay, then it's fine.
Speaker 9 (01:21:35):
So uh crash course manners, very big deal here. Introduce
yourself before you know, trying to get into any sort
of other conversation. Uh parts, and make sure you use titles.
Don't call people by their names, call them by their
(01:21:57):
titles unless they introduce themselves or say.
Speaker 14 (01:22:00):
You call me this.
Speaker 8 (01:22:04):
Okay, right, what's your title?
Speaker 9 (01:22:11):
Well? I told them a hero of Ellen Drask because
that's because we're technically that's what they perceive us as.
So you're all technically heroes, even if it's something that
you don't feel quite as though you live up to yet. Okay, well,
(01:22:37):
thank you, Ryan. I think we're I think we're ready, right,
we're ready.
Speaker 3 (01:22:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:22:44):
Ryan begins to nod and sort of begin to walk
up the stairs. You can see there are guards perched
in various spots like keeping an eye on you, but
they've taken note of Orion and Orian nods his head,
and you can you see that they are eyeing the
(01:23:05):
peace bound weapons. They're like they have like laser like
laser pointer eyes on all the on all the red
scarves and how they're tied and everything. As you approach,
they're all like clocking you, like they're they're fag they're
doing they're doing math in their heads like Okay, if
(01:23:26):
this weapon is drawn, I will do this, et cetera.
You know, like that is apparent. You don't need to
make a roll for that. Like these guards are on
watch right now, and they are very vigilant. Hmmm, there's
some activity in here as you approach. Uh, this is
kind of like a h cylindrical sort of area that
(01:23:51):
you're approaching. Lots of arches and stuff. There are guards
posted kind of on the on the railings and various spots,
and there's some men urets kind of like small towers
that are around the perimeter of the cylinder and guards
are stationed apparently in each one, and there appears to
be some some conversations happening in here. You can you
(01:24:16):
can see that there appears to be there appears to
be one one person wearing like a silver cure ass
and what appears to be like a feather cloak. They
are probably middle age by Elf standards. They have their
(01:24:40):
hair is kind of drawn back into several braids on
their back, kind of I think presenting is like androgynous.
And they they're having a conversation with one of the
other guards. Do some important that we keep an eye
(01:25:03):
on the perimeter. I want to know what that ship
was doing near Temprea, and I want to know soon.
Send guards out on a patrol, Stay cautious. We don't
need to guard Oryan. What are you doing here? I
thought you were guarding the Eastern Gate. Apologies, Captain Talbrook.
(01:25:32):
There are some guests, one claims to be the hero
of Ellen Drath, along with several other companions. This guard,
Captain look stern. You can maybe see just the hint
(01:25:53):
of various tattoos that are very much themed around nature.
They're vines and they're integrated into intricate patterns, and you
can maybe see them sort of creep out from underneath
(01:26:15):
their sleeves leading onto their hands and some of their
fingers some look like thorns. And he says, what are
you doing here at night?
Speaker 9 (01:26:34):
Good evening? Apologies for the intrusion guard captain. My name
is Iris of the Netharis family of Felicia, and these
are my companions. This is this is Rue, this is Enders,
and this is BOLLI.
Speaker 8 (01:26:55):
How Greg's here too.
Speaker 9 (01:27:00):
Apologies for overhearing, but you made mention of a ship.
Did you mean the airship that is placed a few
miles out?
Speaker 4 (01:27:14):
That's us.
Speaker 1 (01:27:15):
If so, perhaps you flew an airship here.
Speaker 9 (01:27:26):
We unfortunately had no other choice.
Speaker 1 (01:27:35):
They turn their back on you. As you can see,
there appears to be like a goblet on a nearby table.
They take a drink from this goblet and they say,
(01:27:55):
please sit.
Speaker 9 (01:28:03):
And I'll motion to the others as well to take
a seat.
Speaker 3 (01:28:07):
Are there enough chairs for all of us?
Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
Yeah, they're kind of like scattered around. They're not like
in you know, a perfect group of you know, five chairs.
Speaker 7 (01:28:22):
Right, And I go and I pull my vestings up
and I said down.
Speaker 1 (01:28:37):
I am Guard Captain Holbrook. I've been the captain of
the Verdant Guard here for many years. Yet I am
unfamiliar with Irislith, hero of ellen Drath. How did you
come by this title?
Speaker 9 (01:29:00):
Indeed, it is a peculiar, peculiar circumstance. You see ten
years ago I had gone off to war with the
warriors in ellen Drath, near the border, and that is
(01:29:22):
the last memory I had before waking up encased in redstone,
and when I kep stone, indeed we believe that it
was some emberstone. In fact, all of us had a
(01:29:46):
similar experience.
Speaker 1 (01:29:51):
Re Guard Captain Talbrook turns back towards you only feel
like a hero. Our Majesty mentioned meeting heroes in Cooga
sometime back. It was a bit of a miracle that
(01:30:16):
heroes had returned after the war.
Speaker 9 (01:30:26):
It is understandable to be offended by such a thing.
It is something we had no control over, though, I
assure you, and if I could have been there, I
would have. In fact, my intention most certainly was to.
Speaker 8 (01:30:41):
Be maybe we have as something else.
Speaker 1 (01:30:54):
Guard Captain looks at bo I think for the first time,
really taking in what's going on? Are you still a
backpack bow?
Speaker 2 (01:31:02):
Have you m okay?
Speaker 1 (01:31:08):
Thank you for peace binding your weapons.
Speaker 8 (01:31:14):
I would go my tied up citypod.
Speaker 1 (01:31:20):
It is an important custom in the city. You've honored this.
That is good. You've introduced yourself like someone that belongs
in Ellendrath. You say you are from Felicia. It was
(01:31:46):
my understanding that heroes are summoned from another world. How
are you from Felicia? Yet? I sense this aura about you.
Speaker 9 (01:32:10):
I do not know if I am to be honest
with you, convenient it would seem that way. I'm sure.
Speaker 5 (01:32:25):
While this conversation's going on from I imagine I've taken
a seat somewhere further away from the conversation, but close enough.
Speaker 4 (01:32:35):
I'd like to.
Speaker 3 (01:32:36):
Open my quest log and see if it's changed at all.
Speaker 1 (01:32:42):
It has not. Okay, very well, assuming you are not
lying to me, why are you here?
Speaker 9 (01:33:01):
Well, I'm sure that the Queen is well aware of
the situation that is going on with the Towers. We
received some information on that, and as heroes, we'd like
to offer our help in any way we can to
(01:33:23):
try to solve the situation.
Speaker 1 (01:33:28):
You must understand I am skeptical you are wearing mitt
Afaxian garb. If I'm not mistaken, that is in fact
the Queen's sigil itself.
Speaker 9 (01:33:46):
It is, and I look to the others to see
if they would like to explain it all, or if
I should continue.
Speaker 1 (01:33:55):
Worry the Empress.
Speaker 7 (01:34:02):
I give you a look like you'd seemed to be
doing what needs to be done. I don't speak, and
let's welcome to.
Speaker 9 (01:34:15):
Well. There were some things that happened in mill of Fax.
We we encountered save your moon, and a situation in
the laboratory there that was quite confusing and quite tragic,
(01:34:42):
if I am to be honest, It's something that we
wish to share with the Queen. But during our time
in Millifax, I understand the tensions between our people and
people of the Empire of mill Offax. But the Empress
(01:35:04):
was very helpful to us. Our companions are or the
group was sponsored in a way to help get us here,
because the Empress would like to solve this problem too,
with the rift and with the towers and everything going on.
(01:35:24):
And the Empress did not wish to impose the same
garb on me, as it would probably not be too
well received, I would assume, considering I'm not of the empire.
Speaker 1 (01:35:48):
So summarize, you've taken an airship landed near Temprea in
the middle of the night, come to assist us in
our great time of need. As the storm veil rift expands. Yes,
what four heroes emerge once again onto our lands.
Speaker 9 (01:36:16):
I am aware it sounds incredulous.
Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
Well, sounds too good.
Speaker 7 (01:36:22):
To be true.
Speaker 1 (01:36:24):
Sounds like everything's fallen into place at exactly the right time,
which makes me skeptical.
Speaker 9 (01:36:31):
Of course, while in mill offax Moon, the Savior, she
something happened to her. We were traveling with her, we
were her companions, and if I can be brutally honest
(01:36:57):
with you, their military was massacred, dragon's taken down. We
saw it with our own eyes. We only wish to
try to help stop that situation from getting worse and
to try to protect the people of Rigalia. Ellen Drath included.
Speaker 1 (01:37:24):
Please make an insight and will power difficulty is fourteen?
Speaker 9 (01:37:42):
Oh fourteen? Huh I let's see here?
Speaker 4 (01:37:50):
What can I do?
Speaker 9 (01:37:52):
I do have a fabulau point in terms of my identity.
The only thing that I think would apply, or I
guess there are two things possibly would be the smiling
(01:38:15):
identifier as well as my relationship to allan draft with
my ancient bloodline. Would I be able to use a
fabula point here?
Speaker 1 (01:38:29):
Uh? I think so? Honestly, it's it's a combination of
the whole identity right to your origin.
Speaker 9 (01:38:44):
Okay, oh god, Now the question is do I reroll
one or both?
Speaker 8 (01:38:49):
Uh?
Speaker 14 (01:38:51):
Fourteen?
Speaker 9 (01:38:51):
What would I need to get to I would need
to get a seven, right.
Speaker 1 (01:38:55):
Yep, well you need you needn't know if you rerolled
the one, you would need to get an eight on
that eight.
Speaker 5 (01:39:02):
Right, yeah, so you have a thirty percent chance eight,
nine or ten thirty perchance of success.
Speaker 9 (01:39:15):
Okay, what do we think team one or both?
Speaker 7 (01:39:23):
I mean you're failing already.
Speaker 8 (01:39:24):
Oh mm hmmm.
Speaker 7 (01:39:28):
Uh which if you have if you have a twelve
in that.
Speaker 9 (01:39:33):
I got half the result of that, what I could yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:39:35):
Yeah, I would re roll the whole thing personally.
Speaker 8 (01:39:39):
Yeah, double or nothing?
Speaker 9 (01:39:44):
Oh my god, Okay, I can't look.
Speaker 8 (01:39:47):
What's that could happen?
Speaker 14 (01:39:49):
I can't look.
Speaker 8 (01:39:50):
Oh that's the worst that could happen.
Speaker 1 (01:39:53):
Now, the worst that could happen was a critical fumble,
true true?
Speaker 12 (01:40:00):
Ah, that is a nine.
Speaker 8 (01:40:04):
For the listeners, as in now we didn't get the role.
Speaker 1 (01:40:10):
I understand what you are saying, but what we are
dealing with is perhaps the greatest single threat that Regalia
has ever faced. It took all of the nations of
(01:40:31):
the world get together. You accomplish Heath talks over years,
and what are you going to do? What information do
you have provide to us that could possibly help in
this situation?
Speaker 9 (01:40:49):
Tell me, Oh, there are multiple things. There's what happened
at the laboratory, and I looked at the others for
confide on it, whether or not they're okay with me
telling the whole thing.
Speaker 8 (01:41:05):
Mm hmm, input to get info.
Speaker 3 (01:41:12):
I am squirming in my seat.
Speaker 5 (01:41:16):
Definitely, you are the best person to talk to this guy,
because I would second your eyes linger a little too.
Speaker 8 (01:41:24):
Long on me.
Speaker 5 (01:41:24):
You know, I'm gonna burst and start bitching at him.
Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
So I'm just like trying to stay quiet.
Speaker 7 (01:41:34):
And my eyes are looking at you and just lank stairs.
I wouldn't say everything.
Speaker 8 (01:41:41):
Who is he?
Speaker 7 (01:41:42):
He's not the Queen. The whole fact that we're here
with the with the Empress is like blessings. Just say enough,
that's crazy that we're here with Impress blessings like what?
But anyway, well, okay, I'll look at you and it'll
say conviction is all right face, I'll straighten up.
Speaker 9 (01:42:12):
At the laboratory and mat Offax. There was something going
on with regarding Emberstone. What I made mention of that
discussion about Savior Moon. She was injected with liquefied Emberstone
(01:42:34):
that caused her to go into some sort of a
state that was not herself, amplifying the power she already had.
We tried to stop her. We almost died. In fact,
(01:42:55):
a couple of them did die, except I was able
to return them back to life. Moon attacked their military,
the best of the best, dragons and their writers. They
(01:43:21):
killed the Moon, killed the captain, and we were barely
able to save the lieutenant. Biempress wishes to solve this
issue as much as anyone else, and I'm sure any
peace talks would explain that situation would be true.
Speaker 1 (01:43:41):
I think you're misremembering. The captain did not get killed.
One of the others got killed. The dragon for the
captain was killed.
Speaker 9 (01:43:50):
Wasn't it the highest ranking when that got killed?
Speaker 7 (01:43:52):
Dragon?
Speaker 9 (01:43:54):
I'm pretty sure I had it in my notes that
he did get killed.
Speaker 1 (01:43:57):
But whatever, he was saved. They caught him in the air.
Speaker 9 (01:44:05):
I know we caught someone, but I was pretty sure
it was the second in command. But it doesn't matter.
I would iris would know.
Speaker 1 (01:44:13):
Oh Dragon, the dragon was slain, Yeah, but not the writer.
Speaker 3 (01:44:17):
The writer wasn't right.
Speaker 9 (01:44:18):
There was one member of their military that was killed,
and then the other person's dragon was killed.
Speaker 1 (01:44:30):
He's just letting you speak, He's just listening to you,
And what does this have to do with what is
happening right now?
Speaker 9 (01:44:44):
Moon destroyed one of the towers. That's the reason that
the rift is expanding.
Speaker 1 (01:44:52):
So you are aware Moon's involvement with the tower.
Speaker 9 (01:45:05):
We were informed.
Speaker 5 (01:45:06):
Yes, Can I try to get a read on this guy?
Speaker 3 (01:45:16):
He is suspicious?
Speaker 5 (01:45:18):
I okay, I don't trust him. This guy marmie and
talkative like h show us to your leader?
Speaker 1 (01:45:30):
What the f Yeah, insight insight difficulty fourteen.
Speaker 17 (01:45:39):
It's definite enough fallen in the ladder the good old time.
Speaker 4 (01:45:45):
Sixteen?
Speaker 1 (01:45:46):
Okay. I think what you're getting from this guy is
he's trying to get as much information out of you
as humanly possible, healthnly possible. Yeah, and give up as
little information as possible.
Speaker 5 (01:46:11):
I'll interject, I'll talk a little bit over iris here.
We also have information that is sensitive and should only
be graced by the ears of the Queen. This is,
after all, information that might affect the world.
Speaker 1 (01:46:35):
So you say, insight and willpower difficulty is fourteen.
Speaker 9 (01:46:44):
Indeed, there is information that we must only grace the
queen with. Can I try to help her make disagreement?
Speaker 15 (01:46:55):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:46:56):
Insight will power fourteen.
Speaker 14 (01:47:10):
Fourteen?
Speaker 9 (01:47:11):
Success for my assistance.
Speaker 1 (01:47:14):
I think that's all the help you're getting.
Speaker 3 (01:47:16):
Real, Okay, yeah, this is a turn.
Speaker 1 (01:47:25):
Be that as it may. It is my job to
make sure the Queen's time is not wasted, especially in
such an emergency such as this.
Speaker 5 (01:47:39):
Extremely, my god, we got on an airship and came here.
What is more more pressing, we have literally came here
as quickly as we could to help.
Speaker 9 (01:47:53):
You also made mention as well that the Queen had
spoken of the heroes that she met, meaning that we
are important enough to grace her tongue and her time.
Speaker 8 (01:48:07):
Also, the sky is falling. Excuse me, the moon takes
doing weed not quite moon related things, you know, turning
to crumbs. Look at look, look at it, look at it.
Speaker 9 (01:48:21):
Yes, save your moon is crumbling the seams. I look
back at bow. What save your moon is crumbling at
the seams.
Speaker 1 (01:48:35):
And how do you know this?
Speaker 9 (01:48:40):
We've seen her with our own eyes, like I just
explained to you, Guard.
Speaker 1 (01:48:51):
Captain, Well, Majesty's time will be freed up tomorrow in court.
You'll have to wait until then. You want to see
(01:49:11):
no one this evening, I.
Speaker 9 (01:49:20):
Look to the others. You could tell Iris is actually
super pissed in this moment.
Speaker 4 (01:49:25):
That's fine by us.
Speaker 3 (01:49:27):
We've got things to do, we do.
Speaker 2 (01:49:32):
I just stand up.
Speaker 4 (01:49:35):
And I start to leave.
Speaker 1 (01:49:40):
Now if that's all.
Speaker 9 (01:49:43):
Indeed, we have things to get to Thank you, Guard Captain,
and I will get up, curtsy and.
Speaker 8 (01:49:48):
Leave bye away from Iris his back.
Speaker 1 (01:49:54):
Disregarding these interruptions, what we need to do is we
need to make sure everyone is distributed thoroughly.
Speaker 7 (01:50:03):
Throughout the team. Wait, there were other people in there
while we were talking.
Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
There were guards around. Yeah, and he was talking. There
was somebody else that was there that that was probably
just you know, on the periphery for sure.
Speaker 7 (01:50:18):
Oh that squeet.
Speaker 3 (01:50:24):
Is there anything shiny in the room before I leave?
Speaker 1 (01:50:27):
Oh yeah, for sure.
Speaker 7 (01:50:29):
I'm out.
Speaker 4 (01:50:33):
I don't have any fabulous points.
Speaker 7 (01:50:34):
I shouldn't.
Speaker 1 (01:50:35):
I shouldn't, but there's a conscious shiny things.
Speaker 3 (01:50:46):
No, I'll be good, I told Iris I'd be good.
Speaker 4 (01:50:50):
I just I leave the room.
Speaker 9 (01:50:51):
Time to use a fabulous point to make the queen
show up and call him an asshole.
Speaker 5 (01:50:58):
As soon as we're out of earshot. What this guy
in his high horse Jesus age Christ?
Speaker 1 (01:51:06):
Why the guy with the cats and guard.
Speaker 8 (01:51:13):
Tim?
Speaker 9 (01:51:14):
Yes, I don't know how many more words he needed
in order to understand. He said for himself that he
could censor Aura hm.
Speaker 8 (01:51:24):
And are you saying we need to make a scene.
Speaker 7 (01:51:27):
No, the god Captain was doing his job perfectly. Now, Militia,
you gain all the information possible while telling none. It's
a tactic and unfortunately you fell into the trap. It's
not a bad thing. It's a learning curve for you.
(01:51:51):
Now what we do is this, We try to hop
hold as much crucial information as possible. Unfortunately we told
him good chunk of it, but he doesn't.
Speaker 9 (01:52:02):
We still have a lot of other information unders understandable,
but he doesn't know.
Speaker 7 (01:52:06):
What I was going to say is the Empress's involvement
with all of this, also to the degree of you
bringing someone back, the plans that we have to hopefully
stop the Valkyrie, and more destruction information on in best
own that we may have that they don't. You don't
(01:52:28):
want to mention what's happening in the sky. You don't
want to mention any other information we have lay that
game and I looked towards bow at a straight face
and roue or create a scene. A scene you'll get
us in front of the Queen.
Speaker 8 (01:52:48):
A scene is what ends would do.
Speaker 5 (01:52:52):
I have an idea, and I'll look around. Are there
any guards around us right now?
Speaker 1 (01:53:00):
In your immediate vicinity? But they're keeping they watched you,
Like go away there, I think you would have all
picked up on like, yeah, they're they're keeping an eye
on you.
Speaker 5 (01:53:09):
Okay, I'm going to I'll tell the group I'll meet
up with you later.
Speaker 4 (01:53:17):
I'm gonna go for a walk.
Speaker 7 (01:53:21):
Is that small talk again or do you really mean
go for a wall?
Speaker 5 (01:53:27):
I'll see you later, and I'll try to break away
from the group and essentially shake any tales if people
are following me.
Speaker 3 (01:53:36):
My goal is to.
Speaker 5 (01:53:41):
Sneakily get back, like loop around to where this Captain
of the Guard's office was and try to eavesdrop if
I have to like climb up on the roof to
get close to a window to try to listen in.
I'm just gonna gather information and try to do like
a reverse on his information collecting.
Speaker 1 (01:54:03):
Okay, Uh, we're gonna have a dex dex check I
think for this, and uh, difficulty is going to be
quite high. You got a fourteen on this difficulty.
Speaker 3 (01:54:16):
Okay, all right, this game does hate me.
Speaker 8 (01:54:24):
Oka close.
Speaker 1 (01:54:27):
That's a thirteen Okay, you don't have any fabulous points
left or now they're bullshit.
Speaker 14 (01:54:33):
Nope.
Speaker 1 (01:54:34):
Yeah, so you try to lose these guards. You are
sneaking behind corners and stuff. You're doing your best, and
you're trying for a while, and then you realize like
there's guards hidden fucking everywhere, Like they're up in towers,
(01:54:57):
they're like on branches and shit, this is what they
do in this city? Are they know how to position themselves,
they know how to watch people, and there's a lot
of high vantage points, so they are following you. You
can't seem to lose them after a while of trying.
Speaker 5 (01:55:17):
Okay, I think I'd probably spend a good hour just trying.
Speaker 3 (01:55:23):
So an hour later I'll try to meet up with
the group.
Speaker 1 (01:55:29):
What are you all doing while she's doing this, I
want to investigate these.
Speaker 7 (01:55:35):
Peace tyings that we have people. Are they enchanted?
Speaker 1 (01:55:39):
Yeah, so you can do a ritual to figure that out, Nana.
Speaker 7 (01:55:45):
Nope, I'm not doing any weird stuff in the city
with they're watching us. Okay, I just wanted to Yeah,
I just wanted to see if it felt weird or not.
I would assume if they're up in towers and they
know where someone is at all times that these are enchanted.
I'll just assume that and tell them that these as
the Empress is enchanted, these cloaks could be the same.
(01:56:08):
So I wouldn't advise unless you want to get caught,
which could be a good way of seeing the Queen
not in the best spirits.
Speaker 9 (01:56:20):
Are you able to find out, perhaps from the Empress,
if there's any way they could push along a meeting
for us so we could see her tonight queen.
Speaker 7 (01:56:31):
The Empress wishing a meeting with the Queen?
Speaker 9 (01:56:34):
Well, you have a scroll, do you not?
Speaker 7 (01:56:37):
I do? But that forgive me for saying sounds very
last resort.
Speaker 9 (01:56:50):
I mean, this is a very grave situation and we
want to get a move on, do we not?
Speaker 7 (01:56:54):
If the hero of ellen Draft can't get a meeting
with the Queen now, I don't think the Empress will
be able to.
Speaker 9 (01:57:02):
I'm not a monarch, but.
Speaker 7 (01:57:05):
You are their people, and they.
Speaker 9 (01:57:06):
Speak, and I disappeared right before the war to their knowledge.
Speaker 7 (01:57:10):
I believe you don't give yourself credit enough. I don't
mean that in ill way. I believe in this case
we have lost. We need to provide ourselves the right
course of action and to wait, unfortunately, question unless you
want to take matters in your own hands, or in
(01:57:33):
this case, we can take matters in our own hands.
Speaker 9 (01:57:44):
Did Enders seem shifting when I was talking about the
Empress just now?
Speaker 4 (01:57:49):
It seemed like so to me, it seemed as though.
Speaker 9 (01:57:53):
There was a little bit of deflection. So I think,
just here, is it possible for me to get a
read on unders at all?
Speaker 1 (01:58:01):
I think make an insight check, and this is up
to Enders. What you want to set this difficulty to
be see.
Speaker 9 (01:58:10):
I'll just do an open one and you can tell
me whatever. Yeah, it's just a stick anyway.
Speaker 7 (01:58:14):
Those are twelve because I really don't show emotion, but
maybe you've seen some.
Speaker 13 (01:58:24):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 7 (01:58:26):
With two powers on edge. I do not believe the
course of action would be to bring her in without
proper introduction. Plus, the Empress has trusted us to be
able to well make this happen. If we are to
get the real blessings from the Empress, who seems to
(01:58:47):
thrive on power, we must stay the course.
Speaker 8 (01:58:53):
Question m what about tomorrow?
Speaker 7 (01:59:02):
Yes, that was my first advice.
Speaker 8 (01:59:09):
Yeah, it's a way late tomorrow. Yeah, maybe that the
guard just doesn't want to, like, you know, make the
Queen or cranky. Maybe she's one of those you know,
by your head off because you woke me up in
my sleep kind of queen's You know, what we should
have done was ask for office hours, because I mean,
we do have the badge and stuff. We come you know, Millifax, right,
(01:59:31):
so it doesn't make any sense to be turned away
other than that we you know, we came outside of
you know, the Queen's meeting hours or whatever.
Speaker 7 (01:59:41):
You can bring up a good point. Oh, this stir is
an idea. It's actually a good thing that we got
turned away. The urgency of wearing these banners in this city,
in letin as the opposing force. Queen not being notified immediately, well,
that may not de well with her. We play to
(02:00:03):
that our advantage. You gain a favor of the Queen,
We get what we need.
Speaker 9 (02:00:10):
M That brings the question, then, who got permission to
let us in? Because they they asked or gave permission,
I should say, because the guards did ask someone they had.
Speaker 7 (02:00:23):
To have still watched. Well, if he's the captain of
their militi. I don't know how they do things here,
but in Brahm, all information goes to the higher powers. Immediately.
The queen has already met with you once. Yes, indeed,
well that's even more reason.
Speaker 12 (02:00:52):
Right.
Speaker 7 (02:00:58):
We may have fallen in his little bear trap, but
it hasn't collapsed on us yet. He can get as
much information as we can on the city. But I
think the proper thing to do, since we're being watched everywhere,
is to find ruin hope that she did not do
anything out of the ordinary, and then we actually go
(02:01:19):
lay our head down.
Speaker 9 (02:01:22):
We'll find somewhere to rest. I wouldn't advise us leaving
the city to go back to the airship tonight A greatly.
Speaker 7 (02:01:30):
I believe that's what the captain wants.
Speaker 8 (02:01:36):
Who are we being watched right now? Yes, A wonderful
being listened to too.
Speaker 7 (02:01:48):
Possibly it doesn't matter. There are gods in there with
the captain. Anyway, whatever rumors we may have said has
probably spread like wildfire to begin with.
Speaker 8 (02:02:00):
What if I mean, I guess it doesn't really work
if they can hear us right now, But what if
he made something up? Also, I didn't know that we
were withholding information, because otherwise I wouldn't have said stuff
I thought. I mean, like, maybe the next time we
meet a queen we have like I guess rules going
into it, because I'm not really sure what I'm supposed
to say, what I'm not supposed to say.
Speaker 7 (02:02:19):
Well, I believe the rule was set by Aerryslith to
be the one talking, I understand, and.
Speaker 9 (02:02:25):
It was also that I was to be honest, so
I tried to be and then and then Rue stopped
that because I think she honest to the queen, right,
But that's what it's meant to be one of her advisors. Basically,
if he's a guard commander, that's somewhat important that we
should try not to.
Speaker 7 (02:02:44):
Lie to well withholding information isn't lying really, but we
still have information. Don't take it as a complete failure.
Speaker 15 (02:02:56):
We just.
Speaker 7 (02:02:58):
Fumbled a little bits room to stand up strong? Do
you not worry? You were fine? Boh, you were fine?
Oh okay, but don't do it again. What part should
I not do again?
Speaker 9 (02:03:19):
Well, I'm just thinking over what it is we said,
and none of it is something that should be a surprise,
other than maybe the laboratory stuff. I mean, the stuff
in Millifax that happened with Moon. I'm sure that spread
like wildfire.
Speaker 7 (02:03:31):
Enough hmm, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (02:03:35):
It had to do with an entire army.
Speaker 7 (02:03:38):
The laboratory was with mill of facts. I do not
know how the Empress operates if everything stays in mill offax.
But whatever his head has been said, there's no sense
in dwelling on it. Lie our head, your heads together,
get rest. You've been traveling for so long. When the
(02:04:00):
day comes, we do know some information that is great.
The queen will be in court. That event will be
known by God's clearly. You'll find out when it is,
and then you make our move.
Speaker 4 (02:04:21):
I appear some time later.
Speaker 9 (02:04:24):
Oh my god, they're freaking everywhere.
Speaker 4 (02:04:29):
I couldn't do anything.
Speaker 8 (02:04:33):
Oh what are you gonna do?
Speaker 12 (02:04:37):
You know, just.
Speaker 3 (02:04:40):
Keep an ear out for anything interesting.
Speaker 8 (02:04:45):
Oh okay, I think, mm hmmm, well.
Speaker 7 (02:04:51):
Eresbith are you okay?
Speaker 9 (02:04:58):
I'm annoyed?
Speaker 1 (02:05:01):
Right?
Speaker 9 (02:05:06):
I mean, the whole situation is well, for lack of
better phrasing, bullshit.
Speaker 7 (02:05:15):
You have the god captain. You mean, yes, absolutely, he
disrespected you and your well you are polite is standing.
He looked down upon you, lower than a soldier. It's
this great learning experience. You have to turn every closed
(02:05:35):
door into an open one and just think of it
as this. He looks down upon you. I think you're easy, weak,
will supply all information that he needs. Use this to
your advantage.
Speaker 4 (02:05:52):
I suppose.
Speaker 14 (02:05:56):
You want to.
Speaker 7 (02:05:58):
You once told me that the other end.
Speaker 8 (02:06:03):
Sum up his existence before DS or first as the beginners. Beginners, Yeah, beginners.
Speaker 7 (02:06:15):
If that's what we're calling it. The beginners gave you
faith in his speaking. I may fail at that, but
I feel that maybe he would not want you to
feel like you fail.
Speaker 9 (02:06:40):
I mean, all of this has been a series of failures. No,
we couldn't stop moving. We couldn't save anyone in mill
Offax other than the one person who fell off a dragon.
We have these roadblocks every step of the way. I
(02:07:05):
have to constantly justify who I am and why I'm
here and everything to everyone when I had no control
over it.
Speaker 3 (02:07:13):
M yeah, but what else can we do?
Speaker 4 (02:07:17):
Give up?
Speaker 3 (02:07:19):
We're trying our best.
Speaker 4 (02:07:21):
And I think.
Speaker 3 (02:07:24):
At the end of it all two of us died
and you brought us back. So we're doing something.
Speaker 8 (02:07:38):
Well, make some progress somehow.
Speaker 7 (02:07:40):
I'm still standing here. This place that you marvel at
as you walk through the gates is still standing here
for now. If we give up, if we failed, you
don't know, this existence will be gone. M hm. We
made it a a malavacaram. We've got back with rough.
(02:08:03):
Greg is no longer in deep sadness, still have the airship.
If anything, we convince the Empress, I would say we
are doing pretty well considering the circumstances.
Speaker 8 (02:08:23):
M You could say we're feeling to the top. Golden parachute, baby.
Speaker 7 (02:08:30):
What does that about building blocks to success?
Speaker 5 (02:08:34):
I know you're frustrated, IRUs, I'm sorry, this is difficult.
Speaker 7 (02:08:44):
It's also not your fault.
Speaker 3 (02:08:47):
I'll reach forward and try to take one of your hands.
They give it a little squeeze.
Speaker 18 (02:08:57):
We're together, We're going to figure it out. Okay, right,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (02:09:08):
I just no, this is good. I lack the idea
of what you're feeling. But if I had it, I
would turn that into fuel and I would say, I'm
(02:09:29):
not going to let anyone else look down upon me,
as respect is not only warranted, is given as an equal.
Those that don't respect you, they are the stepping stones
to your success. So you step on.
Speaker 9 (02:09:56):
My strength with regards to you social encounters. It lies
in my genuity. I don't know how to.
Speaker 12 (02:10:14):
How to not.
Speaker 9 (02:10:17):
It seems like.
Speaker 7 (02:10:19):
On her mouth slowly and then remove it. What are
you who are you?
Speaker 9 (02:10:32):
I think I just stare blankly for a moment because
my brain is now thinking like two sides of it.
One screamed iristless and the other one screamed, Gene.
Speaker 7 (02:10:51):
Who are you? What are you?
Speaker 9 (02:11:03):
If you need help, I don't feel well.
Speaker 7 (02:11:07):
You are one of the two in this world. I
can do what you do. You are as team Spiritists,
so your ingenuity is your strength, and you show people
who you are. You don't have to talk to nobles.
(02:11:27):
You don't have to fake anything or feel like you
have to edge yourself up to their pedestal that they
stand on. You show them that you're a spiritists. You
have two very strong econnums in you right now.
Speaker 8 (02:11:41):
Three maybe I think it's three.
Speaker 7 (02:11:44):
Then you show them who you are. Presentation always gets
these snooty nobles.
Speaker 9 (02:11:54):
Can can we just go find somewhere to rest?
Speaker 4 (02:11:58):
Yeah? Yeah, I think I saw.
Speaker 3 (02:12:02):
An inn around the corner here.
Speaker 9 (02:12:06):
Let's go all right.
Speaker 7 (02:12:10):
As others walk away, I'm going to like make like
straight eye contact with one of the watchmen in the tower,
and I'm gonna I'm just gonna do a really icy
stare straight into their eyes, just as an It's like
a sign that I'm watching them as well, but I
(02:12:32):
won't say anything. And then I'll slowly walk behind the end.
Speaker 1 (02:12:41):
As the party looks to find someplace to rest for
the night, we have a moment in the area where
(02:13:02):
the Guard Captain was communicating with the group. We see
what is effectively a rough sketch of the storm veil
Rift in relation to where it has made landfall on
(02:13:29):
a map, not quite the world map that we have here.
Mostly it just shows where it has made landfall, and
the Guard Captain Pallbrook of the Verdant Guard activates a
(02:13:56):
crystal top familiar looking at a stale Your majesty, I
am sorry to trouble you at the moment. I know
that you are dealing with much, but I thought it
(02:14:16):
would be important to let you know that there are
four heroes that have made their way into Tempora. I
know that you asked not to be disturbed. They have
said some interesting things. If it is possible, I would
(02:14:41):
like to meet with you tonight.
Speaker 16 (02:14:50):
Very well to Taubrook, I will see you. But who
is there?
Speaker 1 (02:15:08):
There were well strange group of them. One looked to
be from ellen Drath. She claims to have been from Felicia,
she knew our customs. The others mostly stayed quiet. One
(02:15:29):
was a slime blue in color. The other was a
cat and a human dressed in black and blue, and
they had a lot of information. Those are the individuals
(02:15:56):
that I met in Coca. It sounds like the Savior
was not with them. No, if she is here, the
guards have not been able to see her. Keep me updated.
(02:16:18):
Let me know if Moon is seen in tempora. Of
course I will speak with you within the hour. Yes,
that is fine. I grow tired of all of this, Ballbrook.
(02:16:44):
Perhaps it is time for me to step down, Your majesty.
Speaker 7 (02:16:49):
That is.
Speaker 1 (02:16:51):
The worst. Please forgive me. It is the worst timing possible,
I know, but I seem you'll be failing you all,
(02:17:12):
your majesty. I will be there soon. We can speak
more on this pedestal dims is the light from the
crystal dissipates. Guard Captain Tollbrook starts to collect things on
(02:17:39):
the table the map, and we see several notes scribbled
across the map. Specifically, we see the tower that's fay
Lark has been crossed out. Six other towers placed on
(02:18:01):
this map circled, and we see the guard captain's face
look very concerned emotions towards one of the other guards,
(02:18:31):
Ranger Sillian, Can you come here please? Yes, Guard Captain
Cillian the other all of the information that we have
(02:18:56):
in regards to fail our tower that was destroyed. I
need to speak with her Majesty as soon as possible. Yes,
Guard Captain. I fear we may have to rely on
(02:19:30):
some difficult choices going forward. Guard Captain, never mind, gather
everything in the next few minutes. I'm going to speak
with her Majesty. When we switch scenes, very different sight.
(02:20:01):
We're bombarded by daylight and snow through the window of
a hotel room on basically the other side of the world.
In it, Tessa, as we see Moon staring through a
(02:20:23):
window at what appears to be some sort of massive
combination of what appears to be a bore, a goat,
maybe a mountain. You see this quite clearly a Kaiju
(02:20:47):
heading for the city. You've got your bathrobe? What are
you doing?
Speaker 15 (02:21:02):
I immediately book it for the couch and the little
hanging dude ads where all.
Speaker 14 (02:21:11):
Of my armor is hanging up.
Speaker 15 (02:21:13):
And you see there's like this super fast like flash
like background as I'm just like what I fling off
the bathroom and it's like a it's just like a
huge sensor bar, like w and I start just like
putting on everything super super quickly and I head out
(02:21:33):
the door, and uh, I'm mourning.
Speaker 14 (02:21:38):
The loss of my rest as I rushed down the hallway, like, oh,
just how was gonna get How was gonna get a croissant? Oh,
it's gonna I was gonna get breakfast. I was gonna
get breakfast.
Speaker 15 (02:21:49):
And you just like I'm going so fast, like you know,
like someone like they they open their door, they're like,
hey it it's just.
Speaker 14 (02:21:56):
Like it to the elevator.
Speaker 1 (02:22:00):
You can see that there's like flashing warning red lights
throughout the corridor, and there is a I'm not going
to play the sound, but there is a the equivalent
of a fire alarm kind of going off right now
in the hotel. You see other people opening their doors
and stuff. As you are rushing down the hall.
Speaker 14 (02:22:22):
I don't I don't even stop.
Speaker 1 (02:22:28):
Okay, you make your way to the elevator or the stairs.
Speaker 14 (02:22:33):
Oh, probably the stairs. I could just jump down, okay.
Speaker 15 (02:22:39):
I open the door like slams against the wall. It's
a little loud, and I just hop over the railing
and wouldn't sail down to the bottom.
Speaker 1 (02:22:51):
You sail down to the bottom, landing gracefully.
Speaker 7 (02:22:57):
You see the.
Speaker 1 (02:22:58):
Wings extended from the back of your armor just kind
of collapse back. People are freaking out, you can hear,
like as you enter the like the lobby, there's people
just kind of yelling and you can see the hotel
personnel that are here. Everyone, please remain calm. This happens
(02:23:21):
sometimes in Echo Shade It Tessa is known for this.
There are various guards in personnel throughout the city that
will handle this. Don't worry. There are various adventures from
as Gore. And as you say this, you see like
people from as Gore, like they're like fucking giant smiles
(02:23:43):
on their faces, like they're a haul and ass. Like
we see a bunch of people that look like Torment
from a Game of Thrones, you know, just like barreling
through the all right, finally, and you know they're all excited.
They're carrying weapons and huge. They look like a combination
of Tormund and like, uh, they've got weapons that look
(02:24:06):
like they're straight out of Monster Hunter, you know, like
giant Kaiju fighting weapons, fucking you know, swords the size
of you know, like twelve swords put together massive weapons.
As they're kind of like rushing out the door, I.
Speaker 15 (02:24:24):
Catch up with those with that group, with those dudes,
I rush right up to them, and maybe not right
up to them, just with an earshot because I just
want to follow them and their excitement, because everybody else,
it seems, is rushing away.
Speaker 13 (02:24:40):
Okay, looking around and is there?
Speaker 14 (02:24:53):
I wanted to actually is there?
Speaker 15 (02:24:54):
Can I can I roll for? Can I roll to
see if I notice like where any of the towers are?
Speaker 1 (02:25:06):
Hmm yeah, definitely from your position, it's kind of tricky.
I think. Just do an open check insight and insight.
Speaker 14 (02:25:15):
Okay, okay, okay, eleven.
Speaker 1 (02:25:21):
Yeah, there's one that you can see quite clearly in
the center of town. It's the tallest building in town. Uhkay.
And there's kind of like a pulsating like red or
more pinkish kind of emanating from it.
Speaker 14 (02:25:41):
Okay, okay, all right now that at all that that's there.
Speaker 15 (02:25:47):
I just kind of keep pace with with these people
from ascor.
Speaker 1 (02:25:53):
Okay. Uh yeah, they're rushing right towards the danger. Yeah.
As you get closer, this thing is fucking huge. Uh
and it looks a little bit like this.
Speaker 19 (02:26:08):
Oh oh, it looks like a it's it's about the
size of a small mountain, and you can feel the
tremors now that you've gone outside, with each of its steps.
Speaker 1 (02:26:22):
As it gets closer to the perimeter of the city,
these adventurers from Asgor are just kind of like giddy,
like finally a good fight.
Speaker 10 (02:26:37):
Oh, I'm so excited. This isn't my first guidju what
about you?
Speaker 14 (02:26:46):
Oh not mine either.
Speaker 10 (02:26:54):
Last time it was some sort of big sea monster.
I think they called it like a big octo push thing.
Speaker 15 (02:27:04):
Oh did you get to eat it afterwards?
Speaker 10 (02:27:08):
Only one tentacle, but that was enough to feed all
of us.
Speaker 14 (02:27:11):
Ha ha and I laugh with the ha marvelous.
Speaker 1 (02:27:20):
Yeah. As you're approaching the edge of the city, you
can see there are some flying vehicles that fly overhead.
They look like they are headed towards the perimeter. The
walls of the city are kind of like glowing a
brighter red. You can see various symbols along the walls
as you get closer to them are lit up and
(02:27:42):
sort of pulsating in rhythm with the tower.
Speaker 15 (02:27:48):
M okay, I really want to stick with my with
my group of Ascor friends here so I'm just keeping
an eye on where the kaij You is and has
it reached any sort of border.
Speaker 1 (02:28:04):
Of the It's getting close. It's probably only a few
steps away from the border. As it does, you can
see that there is this sort of like pinkish sort
of glow that begins to envelop like the the tusks
and the snout. It sort of almost looks like it's
(02:28:26):
kind of beginning to wrap around it. The creature is
sort of like kind of trying to It looks like
something is, you know, touching its face almost and it's
trying to shake it off.
Speaker 14 (02:28:44):
Interesting, ah, I U.
Speaker 15 (02:28:52):
I speed up, and I leave my ascar friends in
the dust, and I run right towards this thing.
Speaker 1 (02:29:00):
Okay, it's pretty fast. As you start hauling ass the
wall before. This creature is much taller than the wall.
But you can see there's like this pink glow that's
kind of emanating upwards. If you've ever seen like the
(02:29:22):
hollow ads that play in like cyberpunk shit, it almost
looks a little bit like that, you know, like see
this projection kind of headed upwards, this pinkish sort of
hue to it, and it's it seems to be encompassing
like a lot of the creature's face as it gets closer,
and you can hear it just kind of like grunting
(02:29:44):
and trying to force itself forward, and it seems to
be struggling.
Speaker 15 (02:29:51):
Okay, curious why it's struggling. And you said that looked
like there was something on.
Speaker 1 (02:29:57):
Its face, Yeah, there's it kind of like it looks
like this pink sort of glow that's emanating from the
walls is spreading upwards, and it seems to be like
it's almost like a net is holding this creature back
moving forward. It's gotten just about to the wall. As
you approach the wall. Now there are several guards and
(02:30:21):
stuff in front of the gate on the interior side
hold right there. Only adventurers are a lot outside to
fight the kaiju. No citizens.
Speaker 15 (02:30:33):
Oh, I'm an adventurer, and I start levitating.
Speaker 1 (02:30:41):
I guess okay, yeah, you start levitating. One of the
guards says, is.
Speaker 7 (02:30:48):
That the savior.
Speaker 1 (02:30:51):
That looks like Moon, it's Savior Moon, And I.
Speaker 14 (02:30:56):
Sort of levitate right out of the conversation.
Speaker 15 (02:31:00):
Hopefully save your Moon, okay. And I'd really like to
try and maybe meet this thing eye to eye if
I can.
Speaker 1 (02:31:10):
Okay, you begin to fly up towards this giant bore
goat creature as.
Speaker 15 (02:31:19):
This doctor strange sort of like thing going on with
the cape.
Speaker 1 (02:31:27):
Absolutely, what do you do?
Speaker 15 (02:31:29):
Oh? I, I try and make eye contact or at
least get to eye level and see why it's struggling
so much and what the what the net really is?
Speaker 1 (02:31:41):
Yeah, insight, insight, I think difficulty twelve.
Speaker 15 (02:31:46):
Okay, let's see that's a success twelve.
Speaker 1 (02:31:54):
Yeah. This is part of their border security effectively to
keep these kayjus out. It seems like you can see
you look around and you can see the symbols that
are embedded around the wall are glowing like more furiously
as this creature seems to be testing the limits of
(02:32:15):
what appears to be a fence effectively keeping it out.
This energy fence, this shield is pushing this creature back
from entering the city, but it is just outside and
it could potentially still do a lot of damage.
Speaker 13 (02:32:31):
Hmm.
Speaker 14 (02:32:33):
Okay, I start channeling to release.
Speaker 15 (02:32:43):
Calamity on this beast, hopefully right in one of the tusks.
Speaker 1 (02:32:50):
So calamity is your area of effect spell m oh.
Speaker 15 (02:32:56):
Just because that would Yeah, that's that's maybe something that
would be a bit more direct.
Speaker 1 (02:33:00):
Okay, I charge up. Yeah. When you begin to charge
this up, you also feel a little bit different. As
you do this, you feel stronger than you did before,
(02:33:22):
and as you begin to perform the familiar emotions as
you will typically do with a powerful blast. I've given
you even more shit. You have two new abilities m
(02:33:46):
first and foremost, you have your powerful blast. But why
don't we start with the powerful blast. Let's let's give
that a shot. I assume single target powerful blast.
Speaker 14 (02:33:59):
Ah, yeah, as it were, Let's see how about.
Speaker 15 (02:34:09):
Oh so so I can just I can just hit
this and see what happens.
Speaker 14 (02:34:16):
Oh, but I do I have to target this? You
have to target this?
Speaker 1 (02:34:20):
Yeah, you know what. Let's why don't we go ahead
and let's figure out what goes on here. Let's have
some initiative rolled and let's see what happens if it
actually lets you do this. Okay, let's roll some initiative,
but hold on, still have to flag your token differently,
(02:34:43):
don't know. Okay, there you go? What some initiative for me? Please?
Speaker 11 (02:34:53):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (02:34:55):
Eleven fourteen fourteen beats in eleven you go first, Powerful blast? Away?
Speaker 14 (02:35:04):
All right?
Speaker 15 (02:35:09):
I start thinking about man, this is normally I have
to really like fends up. But it almost feels like
it's it's like it's like a it's like a sigh,
even like a bit like breathing.
Speaker 14 (02:35:22):
I don't even know if this will do it.
Speaker 1 (02:35:26):
Yeah, So immediately you released this wave of energy and
you attack and this is I believe one hundred damage
as you. Uh sorry, that was wrong. That was wrong. Apologies.
I hate the wrong button, so sorry, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 7 (02:35:45):
It's still there.
Speaker 1 (02:35:49):
You. So what happens when you put in the actual
total HP as negative one hundred instead of the current Okay,
so yes, you let loose a powerful blast. What does
this look like? Man?
Speaker 15 (02:36:08):
I kind of hold up my hands like all right,
all right, all right, I mean it's just the same thing, right,
And it's like it overtakes me in a second, like
this blast and it actually rocks my body kind of
backwards because I was not expecting it to happen.
Speaker 14 (02:36:23):
And it shoots.
Speaker 15 (02:36:24):
This wright orange laser directly at a tusk and I'm
not sure if it's the left one or the right one,
but it just knocks right clean.
Speaker 14 (02:36:34):
Into one of them, and one of the tusks just
like and we hear this like split.
Speaker 15 (02:36:41):
It's like a huge like a tree trunk almost that's
like about to just be ripped out of.
Speaker 14 (02:36:46):
The earth and just and we see this massive just tusk.
Speaker 15 (02:36:53):
Into the snow right outside of the wall, and the
ground just shakes a little bit.
Speaker 14 (02:36:58):
But the echo of that is just like is big?
Is big?
Speaker 1 (02:37:04):
Yes? This creature sort of stumbles back, like recoiling, shaking
its head, and its eyes widen and it kind of
like focuses in on you a little bit. You're so
much smaller than it than it kind of looked like
it was, you know, sort of the way that it
(02:37:25):
would have it would address a fly, you know. Uh,
and you just come in and smack it around. It
recognizes you as some sort of a threat. Now as
it stumbles backwards from this attack. Okay, hmm.
Speaker 15 (02:37:45):
Oh, I'm still kind of floating, which is it's weird.
Normally I feel this like soreness afterwards, but nope, feeling
pretty good still. And my aim is to maybe confuse it.
That's a huge dies is maybe to confuse it, just
to see if I can maybe make it turn around.
Speaker 1 (02:38:09):
Okay, you're gonna try it. Scared away, However, it gets
to go first it will activate both of well, it
will activate first it's aura of despair, which means that
(02:38:29):
living creatures in this scene are shaken. And Yeah, as
it kind of like recoils, it bellows this horrific sort
of a trumpeting sort of scream, and you see like
(02:38:58):
the mountains around like sort of tremble, like like little
avalanches kind of start, and the people inside you see
them like just kind of like you know, put their
hands over their head. They start to freak out and uh,
inside the city like they're they're they were trying to
get a look at what was happening. They're booking like
(02:39:18):
they're they're freaking out. Now the uh, the creature, so
it gets to do that for free will then do
(02:39:38):
you can see that it begins to dig its like
hooves into the ground. Oh that's not good, and it
looks like it's about to charge you. Okay, that's it
for its turn.
Speaker 15 (02:39:54):
I zip as fast as I can mid air up
to it's eyeballs to where I can feel like the breath.
Speaker 14 (02:40:07):
That it's exhaling on my hair, like.
Speaker 15 (02:40:12):
Where my hair like it's blown back like every time
this thing attails, and I charge up again for another
powerful blast and I aim directly for its eyeball.
Speaker 1 (02:40:22):
Okay, you attack again. Uh, this is just another one
hundred damage. Remember to pay your MANNA costs for this
year MP costs from the last one as well. Okay,
as you are draining your mind points, you can feel
your concentration just kind of like like focusing in this energy.
(02:40:46):
But it comes much easier for you as you discharge
another powerful blast for another hundred damage. And yet again
we see this kid. You recoil from this attack, but
as it does so, it's almost using it like a springboard,
(02:41:07):
and it will rush forward and try to trample you. Hm,
you need to You see that button that says ten
with the crazy symbols and stuff right after it. Yeah, yeah,
go ahead and push that. That's the success. You don't
(02:41:31):
take the damage, which would have been substantial. If you
would like, you can attempt to make an opposed check,
a mite check to see if you can stop this
creature's charge. Yes, oh my god, let's go hit that
(02:41:57):
button with the two fists on it.
Speaker 14 (02:42:00):
If that works, Wait, which one? Which one is?
Speaker 1 (02:42:02):
It's been opposed and it's got the gear and the
two fists on it.
Speaker 14 (02:42:07):
Okay, it's an eleven.
Speaker 1 (02:42:15):
Twelve. Oh shit, you go to stop at moon as
a who you're trying. We just see you like digging
into the fucking ground. You're trying to like hold your
hands up and hold this fucking massive mountain and holy shit,
rocks are fucking flying everywhere and it's still pushing you.
(02:42:36):
And like you see the wall behind you like getting
closer and closer, and we can feel like you can
feel the debris, like sh shit's just flying up all
around you. Your feet are dug into the ground, but
it's like the ground is you know, made of pudding,
you know, and you're just getting slid through. Boom, you
(02:42:57):
get slammed into the wall and you are now stunned
instead of the creature. And this is going to make
it so that you basically lose your turn this next round.
This this this next turn. So yeah, you get slammed
(02:43:17):
into the wall. You take no damage. It just catches
you off guard and you get like the wind knocked
out of you. And uh yeah, the creature slams you
against the wall. You managed to somehow absorb most of
the damage, but you do lose that turn.
Speaker 14 (02:43:35):
Now stand up, you see like stars are on my
head like, oh okay.
Speaker 1 (02:43:42):
Also you are by the way you are, you are
shaken as well. From that initial aura that this creature has.
The creature will then, oh, I think it's gonna try
and and fucking gory you. I don't even know if
(02:44:03):
it counts as that. It's kind of just like a smash.
Speaker 10 (02:44:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (02:44:10):
Uh, I'm not fucking at that.
Speaker 1 (02:44:17):
I'm want to fix this real quick. Okay. Let's see,
So this creature is going to try and basically like
smash you, uh with its tusks like it's just doing
(02:44:41):
this kind of like it's trying to tear uh prey
apart with its tusks. Let's see is this gonna work.
Speaker 4 (02:44:48):
If I push this button?
Speaker 14 (02:44:50):
Uh not the prey.
Speaker 1 (02:44:57):
Okay, it will try to gore Let's see if this works.
Oh no, oh that is a hit A twenty one
to hit and this is seventy one physical damage.
Speaker 14 (02:45:15):
Oh ooh okay.
Speaker 1 (02:45:18):
As this creature it smacks you into the wall, you
kind of like like catch your breath like uh, and
you're trying to figure out like what just hits you
and you realize, oh, you're fighting a kaiju and then
like before you can react, it sort of like brings
its tusks down and smashes you with its tusks.
Speaker 14 (02:45:40):
And I'm just like skidding across into the snow, like.
Speaker 1 (02:45:42):
Oh, that is it for its turn? It is your
turn now?
Speaker 15 (02:45:52):
Oh I I look up at this thing.
Speaker 14 (02:45:58):
What direction does it seem to be headed?
Speaker 1 (02:46:02):
I mean, it's it's keeping an eye on you, but
it's it's definitely like near the city. You seem to
have gotten its attention for right now.
Speaker 14 (02:46:15):
Okay, I want to study it.
Speaker 15 (02:46:18):
Maybe, honestly, I'd like to look for a weakness, some
kind of point that I can look at, Like, all right,
it's got these armored points, but maybe maybe there's something
that looks kind of soft or fleshy on it, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (02:46:29):
Absolutely, yeah, So this will be insight and insight I think.
Speaker 8 (02:46:36):
Just open open check.
Speaker 1 (02:46:39):
Depending on what you get, you'll learn more. Fourteen Can
I push this? Uh you've got a fourteen? Okay? Hey cool? Okay,
(02:47:04):
So I didn't put any traits in here, but uh,
that is one of the things that you can learn.
So let me just see attributes, defense, magic, defense affinities, species, rank, HP,
and MP. Okay, so.
Speaker 8 (02:47:27):
It's technically a beast.
Speaker 1 (02:47:30):
It is a Champion rank four. It is. It has
six hundred HP, one hundred and ninety mind points.
Speaker 8 (02:47:46):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (02:47:48):
I would say it's traits are surly big hairy rock like.
Speaker 15 (02:48:04):
Mmmm, so right now, it's only got six hundred HP.
Speaker 1 (02:48:12):
I don't think you get its current HP, you just
get its total. Yeah, its attributes sometimes, Yeah, It's attributes
are dex is eight, might is twelve, insight is six,
and willpower is ten. Its defense is eight, it's magic
defense is six, and its affinities are that this thing
(02:48:38):
is resistant to earth, and it is clearly well adapted
to ice. It is resistant to ice.
Speaker 15 (02:48:45):
Okay, I just kind of stay in a ready position
because I think that's my turn, right.
Speaker 1 (02:48:56):
Yes, that that counts as your turn. Yep, absolutely, Okay,
the goat bor kid, you will I think, try and
just fucking smash you again. No, it's just isn't gonna
try and gore you yet again. It kind of roars
(02:49:25):
and it just smashes down its tusks into you again. Uh,
and we just see you getting like battered, like slammed
into the ground like over and over again, this time
for sixty eight damage.
Speaker 12 (02:49:41):
Ah h.
Speaker 1 (02:49:46):
Stand up, okay, year round, it is your turn.
Speaker 15 (02:49:55):
Do you see me kind of like wipe the dirt
off my face and I prepare yet another powerful blast,
full blast as much as I can.
Speaker 1 (02:50:04):
Okay, we can now see that the Adventurers are making
their way out of the city. By the way, we
see several of these burly looking people merging from the city.
Speaker 9 (02:50:18):
As you do this, Do I notice them?
Speaker 1 (02:50:23):
Jeep, do up to you.
Speaker 15 (02:50:26):
I look over at them as the ray is going off.
Speaker 14 (02:50:29):
Hey, just in time.
Speaker 1 (02:50:31):
Friends, As you let forth this powerful blast, we just
see another massive hit on this menacing kaiju for another
hundred damage. We see probably the tusk that you were
aiming for before, just like it does that thing where
(02:50:53):
like we hear that quish and like nothing happens to
the tusk for a second and then it just like
slides off.
Speaker 14 (02:51:06):
Look out.
Speaker 1 (02:51:09):
The tusk hits the ground. The adventurers jump out of
the way.
Speaker 15 (02:51:14):
Come on, four strikes already been done.
Speaker 10 (02:51:18):
We're late to the party.
Speaker 1 (02:51:23):
They rush forward and we see the weapons get drawn
as the kaiju's eyes begin to glow a bright red.
Speaker 12 (02:51:38):
Name to eat up.
Speaker 1 (02:52:03):
