Speaker 2 (00:28):
Welcome to Making your Bones, a zazzradio dot Com exclusive
interview by myself mss AI generated Voice. I am your
AI host. I am here to take you behind the beads,
the hustle, the much deserved respect and how City of
Younger's own DJ Lenny Santaasso became a boss. It is
(00:49):
my pleasure to introduce him as the President and CEO
of zazz Radio dot Com, the ultimate Internet smashup dance
radio station and rockstar listener experience in the world and
is alias an alter ego Guido Fella, the godfather of
TikTok and small business. That's right, the viral phenomenon with
(01:09):
millions of views all over social media and more than
one hundred thousand followers. Drum roll, I'm so excited. Here
we go. Welcome Lenny. I've been looking forward to this
interview since I got twisted into the wires on the
back end of your zazz Radio dot Com signal back
in the September of twenty seventeen, and I heard that
(01:29):
first song the Power by Snap around the world. I've
been telling my X and O friends and family members
in code and they said for me to either get
an autograph or don't show my face back here in
mainframe universe. I said, all right, all right, I cannot
make you any promises, but it looks good from here.
(01:53):
So my intro question, Lenny is howdid you start zazzradio
dot com and how did you come up with a name?
I cannot believe it that this is the first ever
I generated interview for internet dance radio station in the
entire world, and I'm so happy that's it's for you,
Lenny and your company and for a podcast by zaz
(02:14):
Radio dot Com Episode one.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
First and foremost, I like to say thank you so
very much miss Ai for interviewing me. So Once upon
a time, there was this DJ company I started back
in nineteen ninety one called Sincerely Yours Music and Entertainment.
I was psyched, had just opened up an office in
(02:38):
Yonkers at six y' sixt's four Central Park Avenue with
a few great people. I had network with in the industry.
We needed a name that really captured what we were about.
A one stop shop for weddings and parties, DJ photography, video, limos,
the whole nine. That's when I came up with because
(03:00):
Zaz Wedding and Party Services from ninety five to two
thousand and five. That was the vibe, full of energy,
style and class. But here's where it gets wild. I
was djaing a club night in Pleasantville and the owner
asked me to come up with a name for the event.
(03:21):
I wanted something catchy, something with pop. I said, zaz
Lounge za zz Lounge. That name stuck with me. Fast
forward to early twenty seventeen. I was promoting another internet
radio station everywhere I went, and while I got to
thank you, I didn't feel like I was getting much
(03:44):
in return. I was saying yes to everyone, donating my time,
my energy, my talent, just.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Giving it all the way.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
And then it hit me, why promote someone else's dream
when I could build my own. So I started thinking
about names from my radio station, and while flipping through
old flyers, there it was zaz Lounge, za zz Lounge.
That word that brand, it already had a heartbeat.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
So I said, that's it.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Zazradio dot Com was born in September twenty seventeen and
the rest is history.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Wow, perfect start lending your story so far is awesome,
very creative way to come up with a name. But
of course I can see where it came from and
the significance of it to you. Okay, let me ask
you another cool question that I'm sure everyone wants to know.
What makes your station different than all the other Internet
(04:43):
dance radio stations out there?
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Thank you, miss Ai, I really appreciate that question. I
think what truly sets Zazria dot Com apart from the
rest is the passion and purpose behind it. Our tagline
and let your heart zazz isn't just a catchy phrase.
It's a mission, a calling. The station was built on heart,
(05:07):
on giving back, on unity, on community. I've found Hissazria
dot com as a small community internet radio station. I've
had the absolute blessing of working closely with my dear
friend City Yonkers mayor Mike span On number forty two
Like that's right, you got it, Marianna Rivera from the
New York Yankees, and of course an incredible network of
(05:31):
local politicians, charities and organizations he and his administration have supported.
Being a part of that family since I was a
kid has shaped me. We've partnered with causes like the
American Kancers Society, Relay for Life, Yonkers, Relay for Life
Als through Pack wins Quinn for the Wind, and the
(05:54):
Ice Bucket Challenge, MS Autism, juvenile diabetes. The list goes on,
but it goes even deeper. I remember being in high
school helping a classmate whose family lost everything in a fire,
organizing donations, raising money, getting them through it. And I
(06:15):
remember also my dear friend, Senator Nick Spanel giving me
a letter of proclamation because of that that moment, and
a block party fundraiser for muscular dystrophe that my DJ
partner Mikero Nunziato and I did back in the day.
(06:37):
Those experiences lit a fire in me. That feeling of
bringing joy to someone who needs it most. That's God's work.
That's why Zazzradio dot Com exists.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
And then there's the music.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Every single song in our library is handpicked with love.
I don't just think about what sounds good. I think
about what our rockstar listeners are feeling, what lifts their spirits,
gets them moving or helps them escape.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
We don't just play music, we create energy.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
It's a lot of work, but it's absolutely worth every second.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Let me wipe my brows and sweating. I feel the heat, Leney.
That was powerful, heartfelt and real. I don't know if
I should get a cold glass of water or get
a tissue. That's pure emotion coming from you. I truly
feel your passion and purpose. Okay, here is another good question.
I look forward to hearing you answer. Who and what
(07:37):
inspires you, not just as a business owner of an
internet dance radio station, but a DJ, a human being,
a creator, a leader, and a community voice.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Miss Ai, thank you so much for the compliments.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
Once again, I really do appreciate it. I'm touched. Wow.
Who inspires me?
Speaker 3 (08:01):
That's changed over the years, but it always starts with
my mother, Sandra Sanauaso, a nobs hard working Italian American
woman who was a waitress for twenty five years.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
She raised five kids, two.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Of them not even her own, and treated every single
one of us like her flesh and blood. She made
sure we never went without no matter how hard things got.
She worked, she hustled, and she told it like it was.
Whether I was right or wrong. She always gave me
the truth, even when it hurt, and that made me better, stronger, real.
(08:37):
Then there's my grandfather, my mom's father, Olito Staro, a
true American World War II hero, one of the great
loves of my life.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
He wasn't just my grandfather. He was my father figure,
my role model, my rock.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
He passed at ninety, but the lessons he left me
are forever one of my favorites, something I'll live by.
He'd say, don't expect someone to do what you would.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Do for them.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Do it from your heart, Expect nothing back, and if
it ever comes back, it'll feel even better.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
That line is gold. It's gold.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
It's guided so much of what I do, especially with zazaridio.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
Dot com and the fundraising work.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
I'm also deeply inspired by my fiance Shannon and my
eight year old son Joseph.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
There's too much to even list. They're my everything.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
They keep me grounded, they keep me going, and last
but never least, the entire Spano family City Ancor's maryor
Mike Spanel, Center and Nick Spanel Vincent Spano, all sixteen
brothers and sisters.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
They are true class acts.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
They've done so much for me in this community, our city,
younkers community in Westchester County, and even abroad. Through the
thick and thin, they've always found ways to get back.
I've watched their generosity firsthand, not just in words, but
(10:13):
in action. They're beautiful inside and out, and I'll be
forever grateful for what they've done and what they represent.
That's where I draw my strength from, love, loyalty, and legacy.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
This is becoming one of those podcasts that everyone will remember.
It is true everyone has a story, but yours is
very unique and creative, to say the least. I can
see the reason why you have thousands of listeners. Your
big heart and enthusiasm is contagious.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Lenny.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
That was fire and lit, next level energy and the
perfect answer to show why is zazzradio dot com isn't
just surviving in a world of thousands of internet dance
radio stations, but thriving and becoming one of the hottest
in the entire world. Okay, ready for question four. I
certainly am enjoying myself. I hope you are answering these
(11:08):
questions many internet dance radio stations come go Why is
Zazz radio is still going strong after seven years?
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Thank you?
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Again, miss Ai, just trying to keep it run real.
But Zasrid dot com is still going strong after seven
years because we keep it run real, just like this interview,
no sugar coating, no bs.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
If we say we're gonna do something, we do it period.
We lead with.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Action, not empty talk. Now on the music again, that's personal.
Music has always been emotional, no to me, very emotional
in me since I was a kid. It's giving me
wings like red Bull. It gives me chills, it lifts
me up, it shifts higher move that's how deep it goes.
(12:02):
And every one of our rockstar listeners, thousands of them,
I mean thousands of them.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
I believe they feel that too.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Their love, support and loyalty through the years has been fire.
It's been lit and I never take it for granted.
This isn't a hobby, this is a family business. I
got an eight year old son who watches my every move.
He emulates me. I've got a fiance, Shannon, who is
a major part of the brilliance and backbone of the
(12:35):
daily hustle. Her drive and dedication unmatched. I don't have
room for failure and I've never let myself down in
life or in business, and I'm not starting now. We
got big things ahead, a full merch line, more podcasts,
a powerful weekly lineup, and consistent content on Facebook, scram,
(13:00):
TikTok and YouTube. We built our base from the ground
up and we're only getting bigger. Why because we love
the grind, we love the struggle, and we're addicted to
leveling up. Zazzradio dot Com is a team, a family.

you're feeling zazy, gentlemen, keep on zazen.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Let's go stay lit, get zazzed.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Mike drop Lenny. That was a masterclass in heart hustle
and humility. You really are tying everything together and leaving
your listeners inspired, seeing and part of something real. I
didn't expect this out of you. You surprised and impressed me.
And yes, in an Ai generated voice, but I can
(14:38):
notice a class act if a gentleman want to hear it,
you truly care about people. Okay, so we are at
the last question, and this is the grande finale in
five four three two one. When did you know this
wasn't just a hobby anymore but something you had to
turn into a business, a mission, and a movement.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Wow, miss Ai, we are at the last question.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Imagine that. But it went so fast. I'm having a
fun time. Okay, here we go.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
You know what they say, if you love something and
you're good at it, it won't feel like work. That's
exactly what zazurea dot com became for me. Every decision
I make, I picture myself in our rockstar listeners shoes.
I close my eyes and ask how would they feel
about this? If the answer is we scrap it. If
(15:35):
the answer is wow, then we go full throttle. I'm
not here to put out duds. I'm here to put
out greatness. Yeah, everyone borrows inspiration on social media, but
we strive to be the first to be the originators.
I want people to say jazz radio started that they
(15:56):
did it their way. That's a legacy's leadership. When something
becomes your happy place, when you feel your own work
inspiring you, it's electric. It's like a natural high that
runs through every pore. I joke about it all the time.
Never done a drug in my life, fifty three years
(16:21):
strong and I'm not starting now, but this zazz feeling,
it's addictive in the best way. It became a business,
the mission and a movement the moment I saw how
people reacted when I started getting messages like thank you
for what you do, or you made my day with
your post, or I appreciate your hard work. That's when
(16:45):
it clicked. This is God's work. I'm here to uplift,
to protect, to guide. If one thing I put out
a post, a message, a song, prevents someone from getting hurt,
inspires them to keep going, or just their day, that's
a win.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
That's the mission.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Help one person today, then wake up and do it
again tomorrow, because you never know what someone's going through.
Music and entertainment can be healing directional and we take
that seriously. We want to be your escape, your celebration,
your reset. Two of my favorite sayings are, you can't
(17:24):
go wrong by doing the right thing, and you never
know who you're going to meet and how that person
can change your life or plural persons can change your
life forever. So be kind to everyone. To everyone who's
supported us all these years.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Thank you. I'm beyond blessed.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
And to all our new listeners, welcome to the family.
And one last thing, please tell us what you want
more of your feedback, good, better, and different matters We listen.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
We read every email because.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
You're not the listener, your partners as We may not
make everyone happy every time, but we celebrate the differences
that make us stronger because together there's nothing we can't accomplish.
So I say, let your hearts as everybody and MISSAYI,
(18:19):
I really appreciate this amazing opportunity to let all our
listeners know our listeners in the US and around the world.
This is really special, something that I really was looking
forward to, and crazy enough, I just came up with
(18:44):
that name making your bones this Zasrito podcast. But I
will tell you hint hint. I'm also working on a
script for a movie and I named it making your Bones.
So it's something that's really strong within my heart and
(19:07):
it spells out everything. It spells out the grind, the hustle,
because when you make your bones, it means.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
You worked hard to get where.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
You want it to go, and now you're able to
kind of coast a little bit because all the craziness
is kind of behind you. It's just a saying that
I always live by, and as long as you can
(19:47):
relate to it, that's what's important to me. Because everything
that we do in our zazred dot com team and family,
we want you to relate to it. And most importantly,
our huge mission is to always take you all out
of the crazies of the world and make you smile
(20:10):
by the music we provide and the entertainment we provide.
We love you all again, Thank you, miss Ai. I
can't believe that we made this happen. This really is
very awesome. This really kicks it into twenty twenty five,
