Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, I'm Mark Nolan and this is the end three
three to two road safety project. If you drive, ride, walk,
or travel on Spanish roads, this short message is for you.
I've just published N three three to two Driving in
Spain twenty twenty five Part two, a new book bringing
together more than seventy articles written and published on the
(00:22):
N three three to two dot e S website during
the second half of this year, from July through to December.
This book is a continuation of Part one, which was
released earlier in twenty twenty five. Together, the two volumes
form a practical snapshot of road safety in Spain across
an entire year, shaped by real questions, real confusion and
(00:45):
real situations people face every day. This is not a
rule book and it is not written in legal language.
It is a collection of clear, plain English articles explaining
how Spanish road rules work in practice, they exist, and
how everyday decisions can quietly increase or reduce risk. The
(01:06):
second half of the year brings its own challenges Summer heat,
long journeys, overloaded vehicles and tire failures. Then autumn rive
schools return, light levels change and routines shift. Winter follows
with darkness, weather, festive travel and some of the busiest
and highest risk days on the roads. Alongside these seasonal changes,
(01:30):
the book also covers ongoing issues such as alcohol and
drug driving, distraction, speed perception errors, pedestrians, cyclists, e scooters,
and other personal mobility vehicles now sharing our roads. Some
topics appear more than once deliberately. Road safety is not
about reading something once and remembering it forever. It is
(01:53):
about reinforcement, awareness and understanding how small choices can carry
serious consequences. This book is designed to be dipped into,
returned to and used as a reference, whether you live
in Spain full time, visit regularly, or are simply trying
to better understand how Spanish roads really work. If you
