Speaker 2 (00:26):
Instant Welcome to Mastering Dating. I'm Velaska, your dating coach,
so glad that you can be here with me today.
There's a lot of excitement in the air right now
with everyone preparing for Santa's arrival. Christmas is just around
the corner, so Merry Christmas to you and your loved
ones if you celebrate Christmas. In today's episode, I am

(00:49):
going to be sharing seven creative and confident ways to
ask someone out. I'm so excited about this because I
know how difficult it is to ask that little question,
and I thought it would be great to start today's
episode with seven different ways that you can ask someone out,
seven creative ways that will actually stand out and make

(01:10):
that person want to say yes. I also wanted to
mention that I have another podcast that I started just
for men. So this podcast, Mastering Dating is for women
and for men. But I have another podcast that I
just started so it's new, called Dating Tips for Him
for just men, and I also have another podcast just

(01:35):
for women called Mindset Goddess. So just starting that out
there in case you're interested in listening specifically for the
dating Tips for Him, since some of you are probably
male listeners, you would really enjoy my new podcast, Dating
Tips for Him, where I share tips for just the
guys and for you ladies. If you're interested in a

(01:56):
spiritual life coaching podcast, then check out Mindset god Is
by Velesca Latour. I think you will find it very
helpful as well. Okay, so with that being said, let's
get started. Seven creative and confident ways to ask someone out.
The first one is what I like to call the
casual invite. This is when you keep it low pressure

(02:19):
and easy going. It would go something like this, Hey,
I was planning to check out this great new restaurant.
Would you like to join me? Simple, casual, absolutely no pressure, right.
So this is the most popular way to ask someone out,
and I think for the most part it's quite successful.

(02:39):
The second way that you can approach this is called
the compliment approach. I love this one because let's face it,
who does not love compliments. You can incorporate a genuine
compliment to make your intentions clear, such as, I really
enjoy talking to you. Would you like to grab a
coffee or dinner sometime? Right? So this is a nice

(03:01):
way to let someone know that you like something about them,
and because you like something about them, you would like
to ask them out, You would like to go somewhere
with them. So this is a really nice one, and
this is probably my favorite approach of all the different
ones that I'm sharing with you today. The third one
is called the shared interest hook. Use something that you

(03:24):
know that they're passionate about. For example, you could say
something like you mentioned that you love photography. I love
that too, want to do that together this weekend? We
can just walk around the city and take pictures of
different landmarks or something like that. You get the picture right,
So find something that you love and they love, and

(03:47):
ask whether they would like to go with you to
do that thing that you both love. The fourth thing
that I have for you today is the playful suggestion.
This is a fun one too. You can add a
little bit of humor and playfulness to light in the mood.
For example, you might say something like, so, when are
you going to let me tick you out for the
best tacos in town? I love this approach to back

(04:11):
in the day, way way way back in the day,
when I was dating and going out with a lot
of different people, just getting to know the dating scene
and what kind of man I want. I remember really
enjoying the playful suggestion. Playful suggestion approach. It's really great
when someone brings a little bit of humor or playfulness

(04:32):
into asking you out. The fifth one is the bold
and direct ask, Oh, this is just plain out, plain rid,
this is just sexy. Confidence is attractive. Be straightforward. It
might go something like this, I think you're amazing and
I'd love to take you out. Are you free Friday night?

(04:53):
That says that you're confident. That says that you know
what you want, and let's face it, someone who knows
what they want is sex as hell right, So be confident,
be straightforward, and that's one great way to ask them out.
The next one is that let's plan together angle. This
is great too because it makes the person feel heard.

(05:13):
So maybe you can make a collaborative decision such as
or a collaborative suggestion. I should say, such as, I've
been meaning to try something new, what do you think
about going for let's say, skating together? Something like that,
Because then this kind of question allows the person to

(05:34):
give their input and it gives them the space to
voice their opinion. You know. It's not the same as asking, hey,
do you want to go skating? You can instead say, hey,
I've been thinking about doing something different, something I've never done.
Want to try skating together? You know, and that gives
you some space to voice your opinion, to state whether
you like it or not, and to even suggest something

(05:56):
different in case you don't want to do this. And
then the seventh that I have on my list here
today for you is the follow up to a great
conversation approach. If you've been vibing really well with this person,
then you need to capitalize on that connection take advantage
of it. You could say something like, I really enjoy

(06:16):
talking to you. Would you like to continue this over
dinner or drinks? So this is a nice approach because
you are saying that you really enjoy talking with that person,
which first of all, will make them feel like you
like them and like you appreciate them. And then it's
also going to make them feel like they want more

(06:37):
of it with you, So this is a great approach
for you to also take. Hopefully these little tips were
helpful for you today. I hope so. And I just
want to say thank you for listening to another episode today,
and be sure to subscribe or hit the follow button
so that you can always know when I upload a
new episode. Merry Christmas to all of you, and be

(07:01):
sure to come back again for another episode. Take care,
M M.
