Just a few days earlier on May 9, the Oscar-winning actor posted another photo on his Instagram account, maintaining his social media presence among his fans.
In late April, McConaughey made headlines when he testified before lawmakers regarding a bill that would expand investment in the film industry in Texas. During a hearing on April 23, he advocated for Texas film production, emphasizing that the legislation supports "Texas movies, Texas filmmakers, and Texas workers" rather than being a "Hollywood handout."
The McConaughey family made a rare public appearance together at the 2025 Mack, Jack and McConaughey Gala in Austin on April 25. Matthew and Camila brought all three of their children—15-year-old Vida, 12-year-old Livingston, and 6-year-old Levi—to the annual fundraising event that benefits organizations supporting children. Matthew looked dapper in a cream suit while Camila stunned in a Carolina Herrera black-and-white floral print dress.
