Speaker 1 (00:00):
Upcycling and women entrepreneurs. In this journey about upcycling, it
has taught me a great deal about how innovative human
beings can be when it comes to making use of
the materials that are already there and would go to
and would normally go to waste. In this episode, I
like to take my hands off to a couple of

(00:21):
women I read about who I am, who are very
special and are becoming entrepreneurs just by looking at what
is available in the environment they are in. One of
these women creates bags of all kinds from left over fabrics.
This is an all women operation. The name of their

(00:41):
company is a Psychling and the founder is and I
know I'm gonna mess this up is Namarutha Ramanathan. The
other is a young woman in France who is giving
all football shirts a new life as courses. As of
twenty two, this young woman and designer my Gira, at

(01:03):
the time was working on projects on her own, collecting
the football shirts, designing and sewing them herself. I hope
to see more and hear about this young woman designer.
But I had also previously covered two other women who
had made up cycling a part of their life. One
of those and one of those episodes dealt with a

(01:26):
woman who made sleeping bags for those in need out
of potato chip bags, and the other reused flip flops
and made beautiful sculptures of items of you know, from
these items from these flip flops. Of course, there are
countless women who up cycle every day of their lives,
from the smallest villages and towns to bigger cities. They

(01:48):
upcycle because they are creative, because there is a need
and some small business and some small businesses we probably
and we will never even hear about. So my hats
off to them for being a part of the upcycling,
sustainable fabric of society. Well, for now, remember that life
is about possibilities and not impossibilities. Till next time, stay well,

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
