hate the books here Mom's book Club recommended in two

If it was a bestseller, got turned into a limited
series or made you say huh, I liked it, we're
here to ruin it.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
And this season, oh baby, we've got eight new classics
to lovingly roast.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
That's right, we're kicking things off with the Corrections by
Jonathan Franzen, six hundred pages or twenty two hours of passive,
aggressive cast roles and economic despair.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Ooh, then then we're diving into prep bike. Curtis sitting felt,
Oh yeah, she's back. Want to hear the inner monologue
of Wallpaper in a boarding school, wax poetic for hours
and hours? No, well, to freaking bad.

We were liars by the mysterious E. Lockhart's the Big Twist.
There is no plot. Dun dun du.

Speaking of plot, our next book or another book we're doing,
is the Plot against America by Philip Roth, a book
about fascism, or about a little boy getting his first
little boy erection from snuggling his aunt or somehow bo wow,
you're selling it to me.

Okay, I'm don't worried. Not After that, we're taking on
who Moved My Cheese? The motivational pamphlet that gas lit
an entire generation of office workers. Whoo ooo.

Well, then there's Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney, A mystery
so twisty it collapses in on itself like a dying star.

Beautiful And then where my parent heads at?

With Skipping Christmas by johnsh No wrote a book, and
we'll wrap with Skipping Christmas by John Grisham, a book
that makes you wish Santa had not come to.

Town another Grisham. I mean, wow, we're really bringing back
our faves Grisham. Yeah, we've also got some special guests
this season, and I mean, like, I'm I really even
I'm impressed with who we got, Like, how did we
book these people? Did we trick them or something?
