(00:00):
Yeah, this is the Tired podcast. I guess what happened? Mark.
I've been working on my Big Sawvideo for like two months, almost two
months, i want to say,and I finally got it all like uploaded.
I had to edit forty minutes ofthat thing in a single night,
which is why the latter half ofthe video kind of doesn't look as good
as the rest of it. Ialso had trouble finding Spiral and Saw X.

(00:22):
But you know what, while Iwas editing re editing the non copyright
version, this guy I know addedme with the link of both of them.
When I was a great really yeah, being up from I want to
say. I was up from likeeleven am till ten am the next morning

(00:45):
working on it and uploading it.And it's almost twenty four hours and it
got copyright claimed ten times immediately. So then I started working on it again
for like five more hours. Soat this point I was up, like
I think, I was well up, like almost I want to say,
like forty hours by the end ofthat day. That's also not to mention
how many times you had to watchSaw five Insane. Yeah, I watched

(01:07):
those movies like three or four timesall the movies except for the last like
three. I watched The Bunch Jane, we should it to Sunny, we
should it to Asian Riley, andthen we watched ourselves, watched it ourselves,
and then you watched it for yourvideo. Yeah, which I was
fine doing. Honestly, I likethose movies a lot, but uh,
it was really really infuriating to doall that work and only for me to

(01:30):
completely forget that lions Gate are infamouslylike horrible for copyright. So I spent
the past three hours at this pointre editing the whole video and taking any
time a clip of the movie isfeatured and flipping it and also taking the
specific parts there like timestamp me goinglike I was claimed for these moments specifically,
and kind of like switching up theediting and putting new stuff on screen.

(01:52):
You're like zooming it out and likerotating the fucking video around. But
I predicted that I'll upload it againand they'll be like, oh, actually
this part was the part that it'sclaimed four, and so I'll have to
re edit it again, in whichcase I'll probably just put a PNG in
the corner, which I really don'twant to do. Put a big watermark
over That's what I'm saying. That'swhat I'm saying. Oh joys a watermark

(02:12):
of Brian Griffin. I don't know. I guess I want to do something
that isn't intrusive. That's understandable. But either way, Veronica also has work
in the morning, and it's liketwelve am. I have to wake up
at six am tomorrow morning because Ihave work, and yeah, it's it's
like eleven almost eleven. Yeah,so and try that and enjoy this,
uh tired discussion. This is theTired Sleepy Time podcast. Yeah, buckle

(02:37):
up because we're going to give youan ASMR. And my only thought is,
I've been so busy working the pastcouple of weeks that I've had no
time to play Fortnite og dude.Okay, so I've been I've been really
playing some Fortnite og to earlier todaywith Adrian Adrian's my boy shout out.
And honestly, it's really really hard. I've noticed this season it's really hard

(03:00):
to find shields, it's really hardto find health Yeah, they don't have.
It's not really easy to stumble uponlike legendary weapons that often. That's
interesting. You mentioned that because Isaw the Fortnite twitter the other day,
actually tweet it's something like, oh, we've made shields more common NYE like
like bullshit, bullshit, because likethe last like five or six games that

(03:23):
Adrian and I were playing, like, I swear to god, there were
no shields anywhere. You you canfind chuck jugs pretty I would say,
pretty often as often as you wouldbe able to find those like rocket rounds,
those common ones. Yeah, Iknow, yeah, but like either
mini's no big pots or no splashes. I don't see anything where it like
Team heals people. I also thinkthat just from the brief bit I pled,

(03:46):
I forgot that Fortnite like OG wasbefore they introduced no build and soil.
Yeah, that the man is reallyflat, really flat big yeah,
which I think is cool. Ilike, I like a lot of the
occasions, but yeah, it's thatthing where it sucks because running around trying
to find people it's really boring. And did they remove every like weapon of

(04:09):
transportation like the rocket ram or thewitch broom or no. They have the
grappling hook and they have the likeplung your gun that like sticks to like
walls and like projects you forward.Yeah, Okay, okay, yeah,
but nothing interesting. Yeah, thoseare pretty situational. That is the thing
about Fortnite is that the matches arelike they're right into the in between the

(04:30):
point of being too long, youknow, you think, so they're not
long enough to where you're actually invested. It's very likely you could do a
game and be like I'm ten minutesin and I find nobody on top.
You know. Yeah, that's butI think that's just because of like you
said, it's because there's like amap that's like designated ford building and you're

(04:51):
in a zero build modet like towersin the background and stuff like people building
and fighting. Yeah, because likeI don't I will never do build mode
never again. Yeah, I'm sograteful for zero build mode. Yeah.
We played Fortnite together. That's thething. If you guys didn't know,
we're very into Fortnite. Yeah,we were huge Fortnight ers. I used
to play it. I started workingon my cringe video and I was like,

(05:12):
I'm gonna pluy Fortnite just as ajoke to get some footage, and
I got really into it. Andthis is around the time I met Veronica,
and so I was like, hey, come on play Fortnite with us,
and Veronica was like fuck no.I was like, I'm gonna play
that fucking baby game. Yeah,And then I don't know how I got
I think Tom can be convinced becauseit's free. It's free, so I
was like, Okay, if it'sfree, i'll play it. And for
the first week you were kind oflike like I was like, I don't

(05:33):
know whatever, and then we wekept playing it, and then there was
just there's always one night. There'sone night where I'm like, Okay,
I don't like that I'm not goodat this game, so let's try to
get good at this game, andI will just play it relentlessly. And
I had that with Fortnite, andever since then I was hooked. I
had that with among Us too.How do you get good at a money?

(05:55):
I mean I always got impostor right. I always wanted to get impost
like four times in a row.It was like eight times in a row.
Yeah. Sonny was in town coincidentally, and so it was like two
other friends, uh, and Ithink I was I just couldn't sleep and
so I decided to sleep in likethe recording room or something, and I
was so bored. But I hadnothing to do, and I didn't know
how to turn on any of thestuff in the recording room, and I

(06:16):
didn't want to fuck with anything,so I just went on my phone and
I was like, oh, Iknow among Us is like a new game,
and I know, like that's onyour phone or whatever. Till six
am, I played among Us justonline matches, over and over and over
again. I could never get intoit like that. I used the Right
Opinion used to message me a lot, being like, hey, we're doing
it among Us lobby, want tojoin. Never once in a while I'd

(06:36):
be like sure, but after likethree or four games, I'd just be
sitting there in silence, like, but that's how we that's how we sort
of like hanging out. Yeah,And then I was stopped playing among Us
is too like repetationous yeah for me. But it's a good game and I
had a lot of fun with itfor a period. It was just one
of those things where it did notlast. And then I really wanted to

(06:59):
get into it again when they introducedthe new map that and I don't know,
it was just too big and liketoo like me as and I couldn't
get only play Skeled never ever playan Yeah, among Us is one of
those things where it's like I Iit took them very long to get content
for that thing. Yeah, welldidn't it, Like which is weird because

(07:19):
you think that. I guess it'smore to just like looking at the game,
you wouldn't expect it to take thatlong, you know what it is
though, Like obviously like I am, I'm definitely one of those people is
like, yeah, skeled forever. But I feel like, regardless if they
made like custom maps, do youknow how fun among Us would be with
custom maps? That would be coolto make like thirty mini games like tasks

(07:41):
to Do and it's like you canplace these anywhere in the map you want,
you can make the root whatever.I think that would have brought so
many people back to a Mario Makeramong Us. Yeah, that'd be coolers.
I think you can make Mario Makera lot of games, Marcus Mario
Maker, MUGAs. Yeah. Iknow some guy was doing like a Sonic
Maker at one point. It's calledsome Studio. It's like a fan gam

(08:01):
and it looks really in depth andgood. Wasn't that an actual thing?
Didn't they try to make something likethat. No, a YouTube video about
it. No. I think Segarecently said that they would never make a
Sonic like Mario Maker, which isto rip off like Mario everything else.
But I thought there was one thatwas going to be in the works.
Am I wrong? Are you thinkingof the Mega Man that we were watching

(08:22):
was the Mega Man? Maybe? No, you're right, the Mega Man
universe schem for Capcom and then heleft Capcom in the middle of production.
Is he he's not in prison yet? What didn't he get? Didn't he
get in some kind of controversy afterMighty number nine, like recently where everyone
was like, oh, think think, fuck, he's gone. I don't
remember it. Was it like taxlike embettlement or something. No, that

(08:43):
was that's that's but he was.He was insider treading. He would like
increase his stocks. I think inSquare Enix, right before he knew they
would Anny. It's like a newFinal Fantasy GIAM, which is very illegal.
Like I thought. Eugen Kaka wasthe Sega guy. He left Sega
during Sonic O six, which isone of the reasons why that game was

(09:05):
like a mass oh, because hewas like, oh, ever since I
made Sonic one, like I gotinto this to be a programmer, but
since Sonic One, I just kindof got stuck to like the director,
like the producer kind of position whereI'm like overseeing the developers. Uh.
And so he was like, I'mbored. I want to leave and work
at Square Knicks or he made hisown company for a while and being like

(09:26):
nothing popular with So, yeah, you wanted to hang out with No.
He worked on Out, He workedon Bell in Wonderworld, belland he said,
every time he said Ballan Wonderland,I always think you say Bellan.
You said balland ballan b l lA, Yeah, balland No there's no

(09:50):
D in there. Yeah, ballandWonderland. Now you're fucking with me,
you are? I just said,I told you I thought it was bell
End because I thought there was aD there that balance balanced Wonderland. Yeah,
Bllan wonderful Yeah, baland Wonderland. No whatever. Wait, whisper whisper

(10:13):
for all of the people who arehere for a sleepy time podcast, the
nighttime as more podcast. Whisper Bell, Bell End, Wonderland, Bell d.
Let'sp it, it's ASMR. It'sthe Bell in Wonderland, Bell and
Wonderland. See I noticed that themore I try to make my voice it's

(10:35):
not an intentional thing. It's fromme living here and like recording videos so
much that I find myself trying tochange my accent to be more American,
something more clear. Yeah, becauseif I if I did all my videos,
like, I'm trying to like goback into it, and I don't
even think I can at this point, like how I would talk Like I
like listening to your old videos becauseyou sounds so excited. Worst of all,

(10:58):
you ruined the fucking magic Rind tobite. You sound excited, and
uh, you're very quick with whatyou're talking about, but you have a
voice that's like yeah, like pitcheddown lower, like more like very quiint
like dos but quick. Yeah. You know, I think most dis people
like talk really fast, and Istill find myself like falling into that.
I know it's because just talk fast. At the start of the Saw video,

(11:20):
we both got sick. We bothgot bronchi. I got bronchitis for
like three weeks. Yeah, andso the up until Saw two. I
think if you watch the video,I assume it's hopefully it's not God.
I kind of sign more like dadBen and my voice that I'm talking a
lot faster, and that's because Ithat was like, right whenever I got
bronchitis, You're just like you're like, I gotta just get this not recorded.

(11:43):
Yeah, but I was telling youas I was doing it, it's
like I can't do it. Ican't do the voice I usually do in
videos. You can't do your YouTubeor content creator voice. Yeah. It
felt like every time I would dothat, I would like feel like I
was suffocating after like a couple ofwords. Yeah, so that's why the
start of that video assigns a littledifferent. But yeah, I think because

(12:05):
of that, I pronounced certain weirdwords. I pronounced certain words pretty weird,
Like I can't say I like ballanwith like really overemphasizing the two,
like the Balan ballan. Yeah,I say like ballan ballan Wonderland when it's
like bellin Ballan, because that's that'slike my accent would have me say ballin,

(12:30):
you know, ballanned. You know, I've also noticed that you don't
use as much of an Irish slangfor things anymore. Yeah, that's that's
your fault. That's just like likeyou know, like you not like like
I would call like a garbage canof bin or like trash rubbish, but
are like pants triusers. But themore I'm here, the more I'm like,

(12:50):
well, I know, like whatthe word to use here is.
I'm just gonna use that word. Why not just because it's the correct way
to use. No, it's thethe Queen's English is the better. Queen's
dead dude, Yeah, yeah,I'm been dead. You believe that was
like a year ago the queen died? It was like a year ago.

(13:13):
Yeah, I think it was overa year ago. And that was like
right when we moved in here.I feel like she's been dead for years
and they've been lying, propping upher dead body. Who is that like
that rumor against that Britney Spears.Oh that Britney Spears is actually like she's
been No, she's not dead, but she's like gone, she's gone and
she's living her own life. Andnow they have like her parents are using

(13:35):
a stand in Brittany, which isn'treal. Which isn't real. But also
I mean, if you are aschitzo, they do make a compelling argument.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised ifmaybe a couple of times they have
like had a stand in for Brittany. But I don't think that means Brittany
is gone. I think that meansshe just wasn't available to record fucking TikTok
number forty seven, you know, dancing and like spinning around in her living

(13:56):
dancing like a monkey. Uh whatkind of monkey? I don't know.
A Champ Champ what I'm saying,Champ? Yeah? Yeah, what we
think recently if wench got really buffanyage talk like that Pigan Family Guy Waiting

(14:18):
Waiting. I used to think thatwas the funniest thing ever. That episode
of Family Guess used to make melaugh so hard. It used to go
on like in my mind whenever Iwould watch it as a kid, it
felt like a win on forever. It felt like an list. But I
want to watch it. It's like, damn it over that, it's only
twenty two minutes. I always rememberedit being like forty five minutes. Yeah,
but if you watch New Family Guyprobably feels like forever. Yeah.
We remember when we were at aSunny's house, I think it was last

(14:41):
year, and he was like,he always watches the only person I know
that keeps up with family. Hewatches the New Simpsons Family Guy, Bob
Berger, every American day everything, and I just don't get it. Uh,
you call what do you call thatgenre of cartoon adult adult animated comedy,
But I mean, like, okay, but what do you call that
art style? What do you hallthe art style? Like? They all
are the same, but they're not, you know what I mean. Simpson's

(15:05):
Family Guy, American Dad, BobBerger. I can't say anything about Bob's
Burgers are American Dad. But Iwould watching New like Simpsons and Family Guy
like Brionless, you know, orit's just kind of like Brickleberry Paradise Phoebe,
you know what I mean. They'remuch worse than New Family Guy.
And even then Simpson's like is kindof getting better. But I'm saying,

(15:26):
like the art style, what doyou call that art style? I don't
know what you mean because to me, Simpsons and Family Guy has a very
different art style. Guys in thecomments, you know what I'm fucking talking
And I see that's the thing.I know what you're talking about, but
I can't. I don't feel likei'm qualified. After pinpoint, you were
the most qualified, considering you've watchedall of these fucking like train wreck television
shows and ranked them like Brickleberry andParadise PD, and like and The Prince

(15:50):
and like I would say those threeshows are like the rip off seth MacFarland
art style, but the but thewith the Simpsons and and all that,
and Bob Berger is like thrown inthere too. They have the c Ark
style. They're all kind of similar. They are similar, I'll give you

(16:11):
that, all kind of similar. It's kind of like when people say,
like the bean Mouth is the calArts style. It's like clearly that is
like they're all similar. It's likethat's one art style. Yeah, it's
not cal Arts, Like it's notthe cal Arts style, but there is
like a similarities between them. There'sa term for that art style, the
qt woozy tumblr looking. I justthink that is like the twenty ten style,

(16:33):
you know, but then it canthey find it anymore because it's kind
of like I would say, likethe twenty tens, like Adventure Time sort
of art style has only gotten likemore used naidas in the twenty twenties,
Like we saw that show like DeadEnd Paranormal PD. Yeah, but think
about Welcome to My Channel. That'sa different art style. That's the story

(16:56):
Time Animator YouTuber art style needing abunch of different things. And because it's
like his art style is like rippedoff of what we're talking about. He
is like his art style is likeway like way, more like incestual of
the Colard style Tens art style.See, I know you see, I

(17:17):
know what you mean, but Idon't know if I can agree with that.
I don't know if I know whatI mean. I know what you
mean, I know what you mean. I would say that's more similar like
animation's art style. It's more likethe odd One's old arts. Like it's
just all so see the Jaden's Jadeanimation art style with like the four panel
comic art on Tumblr, you know, yeah, like that art you know

(17:41):
what I'm talking about there. It'slike it's so weird because they're all all
those art styles were all like verypopular all around the same time, you
know, like twenty tens, midtwenty tens, late twenty ten. That's
what I'm saying. They get alllike feeds into each other. Yeah,
it's it's the best word is incestual. It's all you know. Yeah,
Yeah, I hope people don't thinkthat like the word ancestual is like supposed

(18:03):
to be taken negatively. It's justlike this, yeah yeah, yeah,
to this, to that, tothat to the other yea, yeah exactly.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I know you mean. I
feel like I'm so bad at explaininghow I how I think of things and
how I you know, I thinkI am too. I'm glad No,

(18:25):
you you were very good at articulatingyour thoughts. I'm horrible articulating my thoughts
so much that it gets me introuble. But you know what I mean
in that sense where it's like thatthat art style. So so back to
the topic at hand, what wouldyou call what would you call that art
style? The Bob Burger, Simpsons, Family Guy, Paradise PD, Brickleberry
Prince. Now you're really you're sayingthat they'll welcome to my channel art style.

(18:52):
I just like that was a callbackjoke. I don't know why.
See Simpsons and Family Guy. Youcan make an argument for it, but
I'm not gonna sit here and genuinelysaid that the Simpsons art style is the
same as Paradise PD or Brickleberry's artstyle. I would I would definitely say

(19:17):
I think that would be a Disservicemimpsonsnow Simpsons Now the Simpsons where Lisa and
the guy who's a bully grow upand they're like best friends and he lives
the clock tower or whatever. Whatabout it? That's like that looks like
Paradise PD. It doesn't. Itdoes. Simpsons has so much more like
dynamic shots. There's way more effortput into like the character design. I

(19:40):
don't. I think it's it's adisservice to like mat Greening is like original
art style, you know, whenI know you're talking about the new it's
so far removed from its original artstyle though, that you can't consider it
the same. You can't consider theSimpsons going into Moe's bar or whatever with
all the Disney characters the same. You cannot. That's I see people try
to to fan those things all thetime. I'm like, no, this
is soulless. This is the mostcorporate thing on planet Earth. And so

(20:04):
is Paradise PD. And so Ithink Paradise PD is like worse in the
way of like there is no artisticintegrity to that. The Simpsons it has
artistic integrity, it's just that fromthe way it is, and they've gotten
better about it, but like especiallywhen it's like hdi Era, it's that
art style pulled way back, youknow, can I real quick? Is

(20:26):
Paradise PD the one with the guyhe's like this with the basketball. No,
that's who that's that's that's involved theretoo. Paradise PD is the cop
show that was made by the guyswho he had Brickleberry, that's got Tom
Kenny. Which one is the otherone that's like Brickleberry but it's not about
the camp No, sorry Brickleberry. No, the other one is the other

(20:49):
one with the other one with alittle bear, the little Dogberry and the
dog is from Paradise the of thesame thing like the Annabel and City is
conjuring Yeah again, oh goodness, yeah no itadays what the Simpsons and like

(21:10):
the Family Guy and like Brickleberry,Paradise PD for at least a period because
Simpsons has gotten a lot better aboutit. But the art styles and animation
styles just feel so limited and notin like a charming limited way like like
old Nidis they had they had abudget and they couldn't afford it limited,
it's more limited like they're lazy.Yeah, you can't think of like fucking

(21:33):
Tosh point Oh creating Brickleberry and beinglike, oh yeah, that guy had
like an idea for the art ofthis show, you know, like he
didn't just go like, oh,make it look like family guy. Are
you look at like all the canceledadult shows. His name's just attached to
it. Yeah. He's definitely likeone of those things where you have the
two I forget their names. Iused to remember them for a long time.
You have the two creators of likeBrickleberry, Paradise PD, and all.
But to get I think tosh PointOho had that show on Comedy Central

(21:56):
at the time, Ridiculousness. I'mtalking about like his news show No Ridiculousness
was Rob Diardric dear Drick did didTosh Point? I remember him like it
was always before Smith Park. Inever watched it. It was like a
show where it would just be him, like recapping the news. I don't
know, but to point, peoplewho laughed at tous Point were always there

(22:17):
were always the skater boys who wentto my high school. They thought he
was so funny. But I thinkin an attempt to get Brickleberry picked up
by Comedy Central, the head hushPoint Oh put his name on it and
also voice little bear little bear likelike little bear like like Franklin, little
bear like the little bear. Whatdo you mean the little bear? The
little bear like the little bear fromnot voices. They like offered him the

(22:45):
opportunity to little bear too. No, I thought Franklin was the biggest fucking
loser as a kid, I Franklinloves Franklin. I associate like watching because
a little tiny, tiny like boxc RT in my room. I used
to like wake up up on sickdays of school and just like land bid
and watch it because my mum wasalways one of those mums where it's like,
if you're sick, you're not likeyou're too thick. Your favorite episode

(23:07):
of Franklin. Those thing is thatI only watched a couple episodes of Franklin
because this one pissed me off somuch as a kid, but not because
I just had like a shitty littlecrt. I had no keyble on it.
So I would just watch whatever wason and it was no we didn't
have PBS. You'd watch whatever therip off was. And it was always
so early in the morning that nolike like kid kid shows were airing.

(23:30):
It was always like baby like Toddlershows. It was always Button Moon.
It was like, no, thatwas nighttime. That was a nighttime BB
shows like you BB Can't Go toSleep PB and j Otter that that aired
at nighttime too, but I neverreally watched it. But Franklin had this
one episode where it was him likedrawing, and already I'm like what I

(23:51):
high like. I feel like everytime there's a new show and I they
always have to have the mean kidbe like, yeah, I'm an artist.
I like drawing, and they alwaysdraw like anime characters and it's like
clear, just the like one othershow. I feel like I can think
of that in like asle Highs, like Amphibil. That was none of those
shows or any of the shows wegrew up with. No, that's what
I'm saying. New shows. Ohsorry, yeah, But Franklin's like drawing

(24:14):
and he draws this like specific skyline. It's like the ingredient of the orange
going into like a lighter orange thanlike yellow, you know, and in
the like dusk, and he getspraised for it and his friends like like
yeah, his friends like prism. And then he's at school doing it and
then he looks over at his friendwho was also drawing the same thing,

(24:34):
just copying, and then Franklin likestamps. Everyone's like, whoa, you
drew a really good one too,and then Franklin like stands up and he's
like this guy is a copycat. And then everyone gasps like he just fucking
customized. Yeah, and the teacher'slike, wow, Franklin, I'm very
disappointed. He's like distraught, andI'm like, this is Franklin. I

(24:56):
was like, I was like eightyears old, so I was too old
to like buy into the drama. So I was like, that's not a
fucking curse word, Like like whocares? Like this teacher is acting like
he just fucking said called him aslurt, you know. And then I
think the episode ends or something likeFranklin walking up to him being like I

(25:18):
just realized that I draw this thinglike this cool character that I have,
but I drew him biggest off thisother existing character, so everyone's a copycag
he realizes that he takes Yeah,Franklin never was hot ship. That fucking
dickhead is turtle soup dude, fuckingstupid little head. I fucking hate Franklin.

(25:40):
Look at fucking Franklin right now, look at this. And it was
recently that I completely, like thatcompletely escaped from my mind was that Irish
CG show of the Little Pig.It was a little pig running round a
little cow and the pig it looksreally horrible and it's like it's Irish,
and I would vividly remember like seeingthat on TV at Francis Is when that
friend didn't have keyable. You knowwhat the hell you're talking about. We

(26:03):
watched it the other day. Iknow what you're talking about, but I
don't remember what you're talking about.I kind of even give it that much
of a description because I only watchedthe trailer that we saw the other day.
You know what's funny is something thatwe've always bonded over with Jane is
like we like to watch like weirdness, things from like our childhood that give
us like eerie nostalgia. And soI think when we're on one of those
kicks, we stumbled upon what youwere talking about because it sounds I remember

(26:26):
the hills. Yeah, it's notnostalgic for me. It's just kind of
like one of those things where I'mlike, oh, yeah, I remember
that, like unlocked something when Isaw it. You can you can completely
put your safe yourself in the placeand time of what you associate with that,
you know, Yeah, yeah, exactly, like it's always it's always
touned Disney that always like brings meright back to like childhood. Yeah,

(26:48):
I barely watched Disney. For me, it's only like Nickelodeon. It's like
seeing like the I have see Ididn't even grow up really during this time
period, but because that always reairthese and I always watched it, I
have like nostalgia for like the presentationof shows like the Amanda Show, or
like early Drake and Josh Are likethe bumpers that have at the end of
it, or like the Nickelodeon logoat the air you're talking about the lightning
bulb. I'm not sorry, thelight bulb with electricity around did Ierator.

(27:15):
Yeah yeah, Frederator, I associatethat with like going to my granny size
after school and like doing my homework. Oh yeah, I was that was
a little too lip for me,or maybe they didn't air. The more
I lived, I remember, Iremember those that thing. Sometimes I can't
tell what's the show that I justdidn't grow up with or what's the show
that just didn't air in Ireland? You know, like because the shows like
show yes enough, Yeah, likeshows like Jimmy Neutron, where I think

(27:37):
like, oh that never. Ithink I remember like once or twice having
it air where I lived, butI was I grew up in the exact
time period where that show should havebeen aired. But but it, just
like Danny Danny Phantom never aired whereI that much, where I was a
robot. Yeah, you would havebeen like four, Yeah, you would
have been like four or five whenthose things have come out, and I

(28:00):
would have been like like Phantom,Danny Phantom wouldn't have held your interest.
I don't think. I think Iwas watching like SpongeBob and fairly OddParents at
that point, so I think itwould have you hold me within the confinds
of a cylindrical container, Danny Phantom, I don't think. So, you
know what too. I think aboutlike like whenever I was younger and I

(28:21):
didn't really watch like little Little KidsTV for very long, you know,
I feel like I just kind ofimmediately jumped into like Nickelodeon and stuff like
that, and I tried to thinkback and I'm like, you did what
you did? Watch little little Idon't remember it, you know exactly?
Like, for instance, a goodexample is that CD with the music videos.
Yeah you know what I mean.Yeah, it's like that stuff.
Like I bet you if you hadvivid imagery of things you would have watched

(28:45):
as a little little kid, youwould have been like, what the fuck?
I remember that? I would havewatched like Bob the Builder and uh
handy Man and Buba What the fuckis Buba? Remember? No, I
don't remember. It's it's weird.I don't have my big giant breast,
a big giant tity. Can Igrab your phone? Sure? And Buba,

(29:06):
I remember the intro, he keepssaying, remember the intro will be
like Boob, I'm sorry, youreally get it? Okay, this is
the intro to Booba. See,that's why it opens. It's like a

(29:27):
giant missile. It's it's unsettling, ready to murder everyone. Times, like
the opening to Sonic Adventure and they'rewhat the fun? Yeah, they're like,
weird, what athro babies? Thefucking giant comment comes from where are

(29:53):
their parents? Why are they justleft in the field. It's like miles
away from Civilization. I remember thatintro song, but I don't remember any
of the visuals, so I haveno idea where you're looking at right now.
I'm looking at a bunch of kidsjumping up and down. Yeah,
okay, I do remember this,Naya. You gotta see what the bubas
look like though the boobas. There'smore than one. There's multiple bubas,

(30:18):
multiple boo bay ye not boy,you know, I find it wildly inappropriate
that where those setting is and howthe music changes and and it's still going.
Now these are it's still going.See it's like mysteel Look at that.

(30:45):
Ye, I know what that is. I know what that is.
I've seen like toys of this andlike stores and stuff. I say,
I had a toy of one ofthem. I remember now, I used
to see toys of it. Inever knew that's what this is. What
the fuck? I know, weprobably got rid of it. This is
awful. Yeah, I watched it. I had to be a chest with
that as a kid. It's dumb. Yeah, so so I was probably

(31:08):
watching stuff like that. But Ithink back to like the time when I
was watching SpongeBob, like when Iwas like four or like fairly OddParents,
and I'm like, damn, whywas that? Like did that hold my
attention as a kid, or didI like know what was going on?
Or like you definitely did you definitelyknew what was going on If you were
if you were four years old andyour mom was like, what's going on
in this episode of SpongeBob, you'dbe like, oh, Patrick is like
sucking. Yeah, but I feellike taking a dump one I had.

(31:37):
I had like cousins, little cousinswho growing up at four, No,
at four would still be watching likebaby TV. You know, that's reasonable,
That's what I'm saying. It's likewhen I was four, I feel
like I was watching like when youwere a four year in preschool or kindergarten.
I mean, yeah, you know, like but then I also think
about it when my little cousin waslike six and I saw him on his
iPad watching s S Sniper Wolf. That was like my first time when I

(32:00):
was like, oh, is thatthe one Bitch of Dogs Jack Films?
Yeah? Yeah, your little cousinwas watching that. Yeah. Really,
I caught him watching it once,so he must have been watching it much
more on his iPad at home.I don't know if I've said this before,
but one time I caught one ofmy siblings looking at like Tifa tits,

(32:22):
just Tifa tits. I was likethat, like the browser history.
I was like, did this mycousin. My cousin used to look up
Disney princesses, like their names andthen boobs, so it'd be like Jasmine
boobs and clearly can be any anymore, any porn like actress online named

(32:43):
Jasmine who shows their boobs more specificnames like mister Beast. My cousin thought
it was really funny. She hadsaid it as a screensaver. I think
I've said this before. She saidthe screensaver and as soon as you would
turn off the computer, like likeshe said, up like this girl like
flashing her tits is the screensaver. And then my mom saw it was like

(33:04):
you better fucking like get rid ofthat, or like so our aunt doesn't
find out, she'll be pissed.Right, Yeah, so my cousin puts
on a different screensaver, but rightwhen you would turn off the computer,
it would like flash the old screensaverfirst seconds, maybe this girl's tits like
a second, and then it wouldturn off. I remember I went to
school once and uh it was primaryschool. So I was like, e

(33:27):
it, I think, And Ididn't know really how the internet worked.
We had like a really crappy laptopin our like family's living room, and
the kids were all like talking aboutred Tube and they were like, going
red Tube red It's just so likeyou guys. I was like it,
and I remember being like, whatis red Tube? Is it like YouTube?
And they were like, go homeand look it up? And I
was like, but what is itthough, when they were like, no,

(33:49):
you got to go home, andso I was like, okay,
sure, home, did you lookit up? I went home and I
was like I went to my sisterand I was like, let's look this
thing up. Like people at schoolwere talking, tell me to look this
up. So we looked it upand it was like the first like we
got to the home page and immediatelywe started like we were like frightened.
We were like screaming, and thenlike immediately closed the tab and we're like
what the fuck? Or Lemonparty dotcom. Yeah. Whenever I first got

(34:14):
into high school, I was verygullible Tom than mice. Me and Tom
didn't like each other for like thefirst week or two of school, and
so he was like, uh,oh, go home and like to join
our little Minecraft club, you haveto like go to this website. It's
lemonparty dot com. And I waslike okay. So I looked it up
and I was I was beside mymom. I looked it up and she

(34:35):
was like what are you looking at? And I was like, I don't
know. Some kid told me tolook it up. And then she was
like, oh, we'll close it, and I was like sure, okay
it. Yeah, that was theend of it. That's a pretty good
way of handling like inappropriate things withyour child, to be like, I
don't know, either, to havelike a calm demeanor, to be like
that's inappropriate. I feel like that'sbetter than like screaming at your kid.
Yeah. Yeah, because if you'rescreaming at them, then your thought is

(34:58):
that was really wrong. Let's doit again. Yeah. Would you say
that you were a difficult child tolike take to the doctors. I was
pretty bad about getting shots. Ididn't mind going to the doctors, but
when getting injections, I was likethe kid who were screaming kids maybe not
kicking and screaming my parents, butI was the kid who whenever they got
in the room, I would likerun around, you know, in circles,
really yeah, and be like,no, don't get that anywhere near
me. And then if I wouldwould go on for like twenty minutes,

(35:21):
and I'd be like, all right, I give up, just go over
in like five seconds, and myparents would take me for like ice cream
after down the street, and I'dbe like, Okay, this is fine,
which in retrospect, I'm like acay. If I had a kid
and that was the case, Iwould not reward them for eventually like giving
in I suppose giving them some sortof positive of like, see, this
is what happens when you do it. Yeah, like like us giving little

(35:43):
wench Ham when he goes in peaceoutside even though he PE's in the heuts
just as much. Yeah exactly. You and I both caught him today trying
to pee inside. Yeah I reallyI saw him trying to pee on the
trash can in the kitchen and Ikicked his ass out, and then like,
not even thirty minutes later, he'sfucking trying to appeal on the TV
stand. Speaking of the TV though, you know, we've been watching guys
recently Gras Anatomy. I can't talkabout. I haven't been watching this.

(36:07):
I have been watching so much Gray'sAnatomy, and oh my god, it's
like my new favorite show. Okay, but my only exposure with Grey's Anatomy
is knowing that South Park would makefun of it a lot for being just
boring and did it yeah, orthey would make it like like a boring
like White Woman show? Is arethey describe it? Carol and I really
enjoy it is Gray's Anatomy. Welove Grey's Anatomy, don't we, Carol?

(36:28):
We adore Gray's Anatomy, don't we, Nancy adore it? It is
so like not boring. No,it's so like captivating. Yeah, you
would like it. I don't know. We were watching gen V, the
oh Yeah spin off, and it'sso like gen V, so like,
I don't hate it, but Idon't really like it. Yeah, there

(36:50):
are some things I like about it, but there's really nothing about it that
really keeps me giving a shit. The only thing I like about is Cricket.
All the college stuff is so generic, the humor is horrible, and
we haven't watched it all yet. We're like halfway through. And my only
thought ending the last episode was like, why does every character need to hook
up with another mean character? Theyall just have to fuck each other.

(37:13):
Yeah, so you have one that'severy show that's Gray's anatomy. I would
rather that than a show with likeno, it's like, Okay, this
goes into the other thing we werewatching. We watched the first episode of
The Orville today Seth MacFarlane's Star Trek. This is the thing is the biggest
thing I was telling Mark is it'strying so hard to be Star Trek obviously
because he's very inspired by it.Like I get it, but it's missing

(37:35):
like the biggest component of why StarTrek is compelling. All these fucking beautiful
ass actors like William Shatner and JonathanFrakes and like Patrick Stewart, like all
of them all have a strong sexappeal, and there's this like power dynamic
or struggle and some sort of likeyou know, there's always just some sort
of sexual tension. Woman when shegoes through this phase drive more or More

(38:04):
never told me that, Yo,bro, who got to smile like that?
Like from the little bit I've seenof Star Trek, that seems different
from The Orville to be fair,we've only watched episode one, but Star
Trek is kind of written and directedand acted like a soap opera, yes,
like sopapis, whereas The Orville islike your flat angle the black colored

(38:30):
comedy show. Star Trek has thepacing of a novella. The Orville does
not have good pacing. Its familyguy. It does not, yes,
but worse because clearly Sath MacFarlane knowshow they take their breaks when it comes
to certain like scenes with like charactershaving dialogue right, and then I'll have
like a wide shot of like theship with some French horns. Also noticed

(38:52):
all the titles are the exact seamlike kind of even like the weather worded
is the sum as the titles andeverything. Yeah, like what in the

(39:15):
first episode is called old Wounds. So it's just I can appreciate what he's
trying to achieve here, but buthe's just he's missing the main reason why
it's good. And he just puthimself in there as the main character,
which I kind of I kind ofrespect the idea of, like I have

(39:35):
fucking money, I'm making my ownversion of Star Trek where I'm the main
character. And he got three seasons. It feels like he wants to do
Star Trek, but he knows thathe's Seth MacFarland. He's the funny guy,
so he's got to insert all thesejokes. But he's not even the
funny guy in the show. No, he's like a streak Like it was
exactly how you said, where he'sjust a million ways to die in the

(39:57):
West. Seth MacFarland vironment he cannotdo that kind of character. Well,
he can not do the snarky likeI'm gonna like he could be. He
could, but he wants to bethe swell guy. It just it seems
like he always wants to be thefucking like nido, nice guy, average
plane dude, Like he has nobecause think about it, there is no
like overarching personality type that he haswhen he plays his character. The only

(40:20):
one I could think of is Ted. He's like extremely profane. But that's
it. That's literally it's the samecharacter. You know what I was gonna
say, Like Ted is like perto me, but like that, Yeah,
Mark Wahlberg's character is like if SadMcFarlane could have he would have played
character yeah, and it would havemade the movie infinitely worse it really would
if Mark Wahlberg sells that character.I'm sure if Mark Walsburg a millionwistin in

(40:45):
the West, it would have beengreat. Okay, tell me about the
RVO. What do you think Theplot of the first episode is that he's
working with his ex wife. Butthe whole thing is you think you're like,
okay, that could be like openfor some some like interesting scenes of
them like talking about like what happened, But it's all just it's all just

(41:07):
used so Seth MacFarlane can make snarkylike I regret getting married jokes like just
a random character. It doesn't matterwho the character is used to make a
joke like all, my this ismy bitch Eck's wife. And it's like
that's not charming, that's not likable, and it's it's not an interesting thing
to do with that subject. Howthey established it is literally it just opens
the episode with him being like seshis wife, like fucking some blue guy.

(41:30):
Yeah, and that's it. Andthat thing is treated like a comedy
scene, you know, but it'simmediately is like one year Lader, It's
a comedy scene with no punchline. The only punchline is like the blue guy
that his wife is fucking like squirtsblue everywhere, and that is the joke.
That's the joke, But you're alsomeant to take that seriously and feel
bad for this character that we don'tknow. Yes, and then they like

(41:52):
follow it up with him having atalk with the commander and the commander giving
him an opportunity to work on hisown ship and be like a captain of
his own ship. Yeah, andthen it's implied like, we know,
this whole year you've been really slackingbecause of that whole divorce thing. Yeah,
And it's like, why aren't weseeing I get you want to like
start the show, but why couldn'tthat be a struggle we watched? Yeah,

(42:14):
because the episode ends with them justkind of resolving their differences mostly and
being like, well, we're justgonna work together now. It's like,
why is that? Is that reallythe theme of this entire show? You
should also like go in you shouldgo into the reveal at the end how
much how like it's just mark thereveal that she was the one who got

(42:35):
him the job in the first place, so she could work with him.
It was this thing where like Markmade a comment that was like while we
were watching that, it stuck outto me and it was completely like affirmed
by the end of the reveal. Was it was like, oh, so
the girl, the ex wife islike the smarter, better version of him.
She just does everything perfect. Yes, for the whole first half of
the episode, it's like you're inSeth McFarland's side and the episode's clearly being

(42:58):
like fuck her all the other characterlike she's a bitch. But then she
just proves to be like overly competentat everything and she does all these little
like fucking cool, like smart decisions, and then Seth MacFarlane will tell a
joke and she'll be like, thisis the better version of that joke,
and he's like, you know, your rugged is funny, But you know
what's so funny is see in StarTrek, when they have things like that,
is always a case where like thelike where the professionalism and being a

(43:23):
Starfleet officer matters more than like whateverthe personal differences that you have or personal
issues that you have with the person, right and you learn how to like
work as a team. That's alwaysit's always the question of morality with Star
Trek, and so with the Orvillethey're like replicating that in a like a
less it's authentic, genuine way.Obviously, again we have heard that it

(43:46):
gets better. Yeah, we weretalking to Jeff because Jeff had been telling
me to watch The Orville and he'drecommended that both Mark and I watch it
too eventually, and so Mark waslike, we should just watch it.
So we finally pulled the true onit, and I'd bitched about it to
Jeff and he was like, honestly, the later seasons, I'm telling you,

(44:06):
there are episodes where they don't evenhave one Seth MacFarland joke in it.
It's like taken serious thing. I'mhoping as it goes on, Seth
MacFarlane feels more comfortable to not bethe funny guy twenty four sex and who
knows, maybe he needed to sellit that way just so he can get
started. Yeah, yeah, whoknows. I know there's probably like some
fucking politics plind but or like, you're the funny guy, it's going to
be funny. He sent them, like Fox the script and he's like,

(44:27):
here's The Orville and they're like, where's the jokes? Though, You're so
that's true. Yeah, so wegot to give it more of a chance.
We only watched the first episode.Yeah, but right off the bat,
I'm like orvild not impressed. Youknow the only reason why I'm holding
on is because it's Seth MacFarlane.I think he's handsome, and it's Star
Trek and I love Star Trek.Yeah, that's that's really it. Well
you know what it is too though, and it's missing Seth MacFarland tries to

(44:52):
look too clean cut. He hehas like all this makeup on his face,
and I think it would look muchmore authentic if he just looked like
a guy. It's it's like amillion Ways Die in the West where he
has all the makeup on in thatmovie too, Like he looks like it
looks like a wax figure and youcan clearly see he's got like a hair
transplant. Yeah, Like his hairlineis just so defined or they like colored

(45:15):
his hair or something and it sticksout so obviously that it doesn't he looks
like a human, And it's likeit's harder to empathize for him when he
looks like a robot. It lookslike by centennial man. Yeah, no
offense with mc farland. Please comeinto our podcast. You should tell because
because you sent me that photo recentlyand even then I had like double tick,
didn't even know who it was.He looks so different. Okay,

(45:37):
So I was like, I wasat work the other day. But we
gotta start with like the podcast. So so we obviously, as you guys
know, we opened up our podcastlast year with doing an interview with Butch
Hartman. And one of the veryfirst things we brought up with Butch Hartman
was his failed pilot series called Zoommates, and it was a show that him

(45:59):
and and Seth MacFarlane both created andworked on together. And so in our
first episode with with Butch, we'dasked him if he'd still talked to Seth
and he said that they hadn't talkedin a really long time. Yeah,
And so we recently we heard that. We were kind of disappointed. We
were disappointed because we we kind ofjust thought, I don't know, yeah,

(46:20):
And it was also a thing wherewe were like, oh, man,
we were hoping like we'd get oneof these days we could just Meeteth
Farland. He's like way harder toreach than what but yeah, and so
about like what a month ago orso, we were at, uh,
what was it what con was it? We were we went to a con
that was in Burbanking, Butch Hartmanhappened to be there to tune con.

(46:45):
Butch Hartman was there, Darren Norriswas there, and so we got to
meet him and he actually, funnilyenough, he remembered us. He remembered
us, and he also asked ifhe can take a photo with us on
phone. So we were like, wow, he likes us. He really
likes it, even more so thanever. I'm like confused. I'm like,

(47:06):
so, did you see the podcastor not? Like do you know
who we are? Not like Idon't know, I don't know. But
you know what's even funnier is thata couple of days ago we saw that
he had made this post. Looklook what it is. Look who he's
with Mark, And Mark was like, you know, Veronica, the fact

(47:29):
that he had taken a photo withhim means that that's the only way we're
going to be that close. Andthis is the classes we ever heard of
Seth McFarlane on Butch Hartman's camera rollin his pocket. But then Veronica,
Veronica no like with a street fiaslike turned to me and was like,
do you think he Butch Hartman talkedabout us at all, and I was
like, what in what context oftalking about I was like, you think

(47:52):
you like brought us up, youknow, like talked about us. I
don't even know what context. Youwant to know what context? The context
we are kind of the reasons whyhe got lunch with So we brought up
a year ago, from one yearago, two years ago, as two
years ago. He remembered us interviewinghim, and he hasn't forgotten so much

(48:13):
so that he wanted a photo withus. Why wouldn't he bring us up?
Why wouldn't he say something about hisold pals here at meeting halfway?
Yeah, we gotta we gotta usethis not agat Seth MacFarlane's sitting. Yeah,
he could be sitting right here witha little wenching. We haven't had
a guest in so long, andit's it's it's just because we have not
been looking. We had a busyYeah, we had a couple of guests

(48:35):
lined up, some pretty notable onestoo that we hadn't fall through it follow
up on yea. But also becauseI like just doing these like simple ones,
it's just us talking. I dotoo, I I do like that
this is not just an interview onlypodcast. Yeah, but I was wishing
we could I talk about this inmy video for an extensive period of time.
But we were trying to like recordthe saw the game on at the

(48:58):
Algado on our PS three, andit just yea took us like hours.
You know. I always kind ofhad like my I would twitch every time
you said the PS three was shipnot because I ever had a PS three,
but only because my older brother hadone, and I'm like, oh,
my older brother knows best. Yeah, so every time you're like,
pistory book it sucks, I'm likewhatever, you know. But then we

(49:21):
actually tried to record on the pS three and it fucking sucks. And
then the console is just like apiece of shit. Yeah, the console
isn't good, and the controller sucksand the yeah, and then the disc
got stuck and we had to goto like we went to two different game
places to ask them if they couldjust help us manually eject that is and
it's just a case of having ascrewdriver. And the first guy was like,

(49:42):
yeah, this might take a coupleof weeks, and we were like,
okay, we'll go to the otherguy and the other guy's like,
yeah, this might leave it heretill the morning, and it was like,
no, no, we just droveto home depot, got a screwdriver
and got it five seconds. Yeah, we did it ourselves, like in
the parking lot. But also wehave like we have this fun little series
we want to start up. Let'slike drawing a series that we got to
do it. Course, it's findingthe time, it's really finding the time,
but also figuring out how to setit up. Yeah, we don't

(50:04):
have a lot of equipment and wedon't have a lot of room here.
Yeah, but maybe you know what, in your future, who knows?
Maybe, yeah, maybe in thefuture. Get ready, guys, the
more content eventually on this this podcast. I feel bad that we don't upload
weekly at that minute, but wesaid we were gonna do bi weekly.
Yes we did. No, Isaid that to you. No, it's

(50:25):
in our bio. It's just weeklyin our biosh. We got to change
that. Yeah, after Christmas,I think will be a lot less busy.
It's been a very very busy year. Yeah, honestly, since May
it's just been NonStop. It feelslike, yeah, but we'll get back

(50:45):
on it, guys. Yeah,we're gonna do a cool, epic Thanksgiving
special area. We're gonna get Rochestreechicken, and the dogs are gonna join
us, and we're all gonna haveall the dogs lips make Yeah, we're
all gonna have Thanksgiving dinner. Iwould of want to see a Thanksgiving dinner
right either way. Guys, thanksfor watching this part another episode of Meeting
Half a Way. I was Mark, he was Mark, not anymore.

(51:09):
He's not Mark anymore. Disappears likedisappears. You got me edit that end
