Mesa Police Department Crime Report for March 19-25, 2025

On March 19, officers responded to 280 reported incidents across Mesa. Notable cases included a robbery at a convenience store near Southern Avenue and Stapley Drive. The suspect, described as a male in his 30s wearing a black hoodie, fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The case remains under investigation.

March 20 saw 243 reported crimes. A vehicle theft occurred in the Dobson Ranch neighborhood. The victim's 2023 blue Honda Civic was taken from their driveway overnight. Police are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby homes.

On March 21, there were 284 incidents. A domestic disturbance call in the Eastmark area resulted in one arrest for aggravated assault. The suspect was booked into Mesa City Jail pending charges.

March 22 had 246 reported crimes. Officers responded to a burglary at a business near Main Street and Greenfield Road. Entry was gained through a broken window, and computer equipment was stolen. Forensics teams collected evidence at the scene.

On March 23, there were 245 incidents. A hit-and-run collision occurred at the intersection of University Drive and Country Club Drive. The suspect vehicle, described as a red pickup truck, fled westbound. Witnesses are urged to contact the traffic division with any information.

March 24 saw 247 reported crimes. Officers arrested two individuals for drug possession during a traffic stop near Baseline Road and Power Road. Suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were seized.

On March 25, there were 253 incidents. A string of vehicle break-ins was reported in the Alta Mesa neighborhood. Multiple cars had windows smashed, and valuables were taken. Residents are reminded to remove valuables from vehicles and ensure doors are locked.

The past week saw a slight increase in property crimes, particularly vehicle-related offenses. The police department urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
