Mesa Police Department Crime Report for February 28 - March 6, 2025
On February 28, officers responded to a reported burglary at a business near Southern Avenue and Stapley Drive. The suspect allegedly broke a window to gain entry and stole several electronic devices. The incident remains under investigation.
Later that evening, police arrested a 32-year-old male for alleged domestic violence at an apartment complex in the Dobson Ranch area. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
On March 1, officers conducted a traffic stop near Main Street and Alma School Road. The driver, a 27-year-old female, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
In the early morning hours of March 2, police responded to reports of shots fired near Broadway Road and Mesa Drive. Upon arrival, officers found shell casings but no injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation.
Later that day, a convenience store near University Drive and Gilbert Road was allegedly robbed at gunpoint. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police are reviewing surveillance footage.
On March 3, officers arrested two juveniles for alleged shoplifting at a retail store in the Superstition Springs area. The case has been referred to juvenile court.
In the evening, police responded to a hit-and-run collision near Brown Road and Recker Road. The suspect vehicle was later located and the driver was arrested for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident.
On March 4, officers investigated a reported assault at a park near Southern Avenue and Longmore. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspect, described as an adult male, fled the scene before police arrived.
Later that day, police arrested a 45-year-old male for alleged trespassing at a business near Main Street and Greenfield Road after he refused to leave when asked by employees.
On March 5, officers responded to a residential burglary near Brown Road and Power Road. Several valuable items were reported stolen. The incident remains under investigation.
In the afternoon, police arrested a 29-year-old female for alleged possession of narcotics during a traffic stop near Broadway Road and Dobson Road.
On March 6, officers investigated a reported vehicle theft from an apartment complex parking lot near University Drive and Lindsay Road. The vehicle was later recovered in Phoenix.
Later that evening, police responded to a disturbance at a bar near Main Street and Country Club Drive. Two adult males were arrested for alleged disorderly conduct.
Overall, property crimes and traffic-related incidents continue to be the most common types of calls for service. The Mesa Police Department urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
