Over the past week in Mesa, Arizona, the following criminal incidents have been reported:

On April 1, Mesa police arrested Devin Moll, 18, in connection with the alleged murder of Gavin Wadzinski, 23. The incident occurred near Thomas and Recker Roads in 2024. Moll has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently held on a $1,000,000 bond. This case is considered closed following the arrest.

On April 3, a house fire near Lindsay Road and Adobe Street resulted in minor property damage and the death of a pet. No human residents were injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

On April 4, an elderly man was struck and killed by a vehicle near Power and McDowell Roads. Mesa police reported the incident occurred during a traffic collision. No further details about the driver or potential charges have been released, and the investigation is ongoing.

On April 4, 18-year-old Logan Bann died in a motorcycle accident near Power and McDowell Roads. Police stated the accident occurred when a Ford F150 made a left turn into a parking lot, colliding with Bann. Although Bann was wearing a helmet, he did not have a headlight on his dirt-bike-style motorcycle. The investigation into the crash remains active.

Additionally, police responded to a burglary on March 24, reported at a local business in the area of Main Street and Ellsworth. The case is still under investigation, and no suspects have been identified.

There appear to be no significant patterns or trends concerning the nature of recent incidents, although traffic-related fatalities have drawn considerable attention.
