(00:00):
Peter Firth played Scooper and if yougo into the Internet movie database, he's
got a heck of a long lineof television shows and movies he's done.
And he was I guess he wasa captain of a boat and Amistad,
which I believe was his last lastthing he was in, right, And
of course Brinsley Ford probably a lotof people don't realize he played Spring,
(00:22):
but Brinsley is now. That helpedme out here because I'm not sure the
pronunciation is His name of his groupis oswad right, and it's a sort
of reggae kind of group. Andthey did the music for the X Files
movie. That's great. And he'salso hosting a show on v H one.
And did you ever find out whathappened with Harry Booth? I remember
(00:42):
reading something on the website that somebodysaid that Roy Simpson, I guess,
the producer, had retired to Australia, and I guess they said Harry went
with him or something, and Iguess died of natural causes. That we
ever confirmed that or yeah, actuallya couple of years ago, I think
he was in Australia. Both hadpassed on. Roy still livens Well and
living in somewhere in England. Okay, And of course, as I told
(01:06):
you a couple of weeks ago,was on the BBC that Derek Geyler,
who used to play the Policeman, used to chase the kids all over to
hellenback he passed away. But oneof the fastest things about Derek was that
he was a member, in onegiven form of another of six thousand radio
plays that were done in over thespan of the twenties, thirties and forties.
(01:29):
He was real big in radio playswith the BBC and other shows,
and was a cast member of somesix thousand radio plays. So these people
have gotten some serious history behind him. But let's talk about something else too.
Bruce Clark played sticks and it wasthe only American of the true pretty
much, I guess all of themwere British. Tiger was British also,
(01:49):
right, That's okay, So everybodywas British except for Bruce. And you
pretty much have a where are theynow? But all of a sudden there
was a blank spot. Nobody knewwhere Bruce Wasn't you go ahead and pick
up on that? Okay? Well, I was able to locate to put
everybody on that list except for Bruce, and even speaking with that Simmons,
he or neither he nor Roy knewwhere he was. And so I thought
(02:13):
I'd put a search out their formasking anybody who visit the sight if anybody
knew his whereabouts any way that wouldbe impossible of contacting him. And that
was marginally effective. I got morepeople asked, you know, with comments
of support thing, we hope youfind him, never mind that we hope
(02:35):
you find hope you know something ofhow to find him. That's correct.
And so for about a year orso I had that out sitting out there,
and it wasn't until I'd said,well, I think I watched over
one day where we had some peopleon them from Wayne Hunters US search.
Yeah, and I was missing somevital information like nobody knew his middle name,
(02:55):
nobody knew his data verse and ifyou know what that information, you
can find that kind of inform, you can actually locate a person would test
that information. I was popping aroundon E Day one day and I saw
a magazine Believe There was Tiger beNovember nineteen seventy issue, and it had
(03:15):
each of the cast member's birthdate andmiddle names, and that was exactly what
I needed for ten dollars. Idid a quick search, asked for everybody
named Bruce Ay Clark in the UnitedStates that had that exact same birthdate in
the year, and came up withone address, and just one, just
(03:37):
one. That's amazing because I wouldthink that Clark and then the middle initial
A and Bruce said that could goto a lot of a lot of places.
Yeah, I was quite a challengebefore the service. I was going
to put us in an email toevery Bruce Clarks in the world. I
decided against that, but I wasreally surprised. I sent a letter,
(04:00):
thinking, oh yeah, I'll I'llget somebody else and I'm going back to
square one. But he wrote meback and gave all the right information to
prove that he was. So hewas, and I put him in touch
with Doug Simmons, and he puthim in touch with some other people and
the all confirmatives of the right Bruce. So this is amazing. Now nobody's
(04:24):
known his whereabouts for twenty five years. Yeah, he just kind of disappeared,
just disappeared on obviously, you knowfrom the Internet movie database, looks
like he hasn't really done much actingwise, except since Double deckersode. It's
not like he had a long filmography, say like Peter Firth or Michael Andreson
for that matter, and so notmuch contact in the business. All Right,
we're gonna talk a little bit moreabout that. Let's go and take
(04:45):
a break, and when we comeback we'll talk more about Bruce and some
other things are happening over at thesite.
