Speaker 2 (01:17):
Why the Clowns Are Dead Written by Oliver aged ten,
and Jonathan, age seven. Oliver is always hated clowns. His
brother Johnny also hated clowns. It started at Johnny's birthday party. Kendra,
the boy's mom, rented a clown. Johnny was so happy,

(01:39):
but deeper into the party, the clown paid a visit
to him. The clown said we are coming for you
and walked away. Oliver saw what was happening. He told
his mom, so now the boys hate clowns. The boys
had a friend named Liam. One day, Liam took them
to the fair. Liam loves fair games, but he especially

(02:03):
loved clowns. He took the boys to a clown palace.
Johnny and Oliver couldn't say no. Liam's dad was a
professional wrestler, so they went in. Liam, Oliver, and Johnny
watched the clown show. Johnny almost passed out in the
middle of the show. He claimed he saw his birthday clown.
At the end of the show, Liam wanted autographs, so

(02:25):
the brothers went with him. The clown gave him a
sign honking nose, and then he smiled at the boys.
They tried to run out, but Johnny's birthday clown was there.
They couldn't see Liam anymore. He must have walked away
at the last second. The clowns took the boys to
an underground bunker. Once they were in the bunker, they

(02:46):
saw the boss. It was a deformed giant worm. They
watched it work. It took random people and pit their
heads off. It got new clown heads and put them on.
The heads made the body do what the boss wanted.
The boys realized that they were next. The boss came

(03:08):
to them and ate their heads. It put new ones on.
The boys became mindless, killing machines, forever to bring and
fill the world's population with clowns. One hundred years later,
the president organized an attack on the clowns. It worked,
and the clowns were all wiped out from the earth.

(03:31):
So now you know why the clowns are dead. Flashlight
Tag written by Jack Flores, age fifteen. Flashlight Tag was

(03:55):
Jeff's favorite game to play. As he was walking home
from school one day, his friend Jamee asked if he
wanted to play that night. Sure, Jeff said, there's that
big picnic tonight, said James. We could play there. Yeah,
said Jeff in an excited voice. But what about the
you know, kidnappings that have been going on. You'll be fined.

(04:18):
All the adults will be there to make sure nothing happens. Okay,
see you tonight. Later that night, while they were playing,
Jeff heard something off in the woods. He looked, but
he didn't see anything, so he kept on playing. When
their parents called them all in, they started looking for Janelle,
a girl from the neighborhood. They looked everywhere and still

(04:41):
hadn't found her, so they asked the kids about it.
Last time I saw her was she was running into
the woods over there, So they all went looking for
her forgetting about the food. Then Jeff said, look footprints.
Everybody ran over there looking, but as they were looking,
they heard a noise coming from the bonfire they had going.

(05:03):
They turned around, and in the glow of the fire
they saw a man standing there with something slung over
his shoulder. Read Halloween written by Dean Lopez, age eight.

(05:28):
Angela was sleeping on Halloween nights when she heard pumping
up her stairs. She thought it was her mom, but
a shadowy figure lurked into her room and it grabbed
Angela and took her away. She was never seen again.
The end The Undead Squirrel written by Joshua, age six

(06:00):
and a half. After a long day, a dad, Mitchell
and his son Joshua went to the store to buy
some tasty honey roasted in cinnamon pecans. When they got
home and ate their phil they left the pecans on
the desk by the catwalk, where the cat was free
to walk in and out from the patio. This way,

(06:21):
their vicious cat, named Catfer, could go out prowling at night,
sometimes dragging prey into the lions den and leaving Mitchell
the dad, to pick it up. As the son set
the father and son fell asleep. While the humans were sleeping,
Catfer was getting ready for his usual night prowl. At
twelve am, all of a sudden, the humans woke up

(06:43):
to a noise, thinking it was Catfer getting into something.
Mitchell woke up and said, no, cat for leave it alone.
Only then did they realize it wasn't the cat. It
was a squirrel that had little, beady and dripping blood
red eyes and sharp, gnarly teeth. At the same time
the cat, Catfer noticed the squirrel, and the squirrel noticed

(07:07):
the cat and leaped at the cat with a fierce
aggressive attitude. Unfortunately, it didn't end well for the cat.
Perhaps it was nature's payback for all of Katfir's confirmed kills.
The humans were too afraid to approach the squirrel. Joshua
was hiding under the covers and pillows at his fortified

(07:28):
pillow fort. Mitch was so scared by what he saw
that he also hid under the pillow fort with Joshua.
Dad normally doesn't fit under the pillow fort, but he
managed this time. All they heard from under the pillows
was the beady eyed squirrel making off with the candied pecan. Lute,
dragging it out the window on the catwalk and fading

(07:50):
into the night. The squirrel still terrorizes the Bella Vista
community to this day. Not the ad.
