Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is a special listener Terrors episode. The stories sent
in by you are likely terror listeners. Send in your
own story at micheterrors dot com. Welcome to micro Terrors,

(00:30):
scary stories for kids where it's always the spooky season, full.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Of chills, thrills, and spine tingling spooks. Micro Terrors are
family friendly frights for those ages eight and up, and
while our stories are for younger years, we are still
talking about things that go bump in the night, and

(01:00):
some children may not be able to handle what others can.
Parental consent is recommended now. Forts of Knights micro Terror.
The Evil Elf on the Shelf written by Griffin young

(01:21):
age ten. John was a brat. He was the naughtiest
kid in town. His parents did not like this, so
they bought him an elf on the shelf. The unsettling
idea of it moving to a different location in the
house during the night bothered him. The other scary thing

(01:44):
was that the sewed in smile seemed to get bigger
and creepier each day, but he figured it was an
unintentional optical illusion. Finally he'd had enough, he smashed the
elf with a hammer, but when he lifted the hammer,
the elf was gone. That's strange, he thought as he

(02:06):
turned to walk away, only to see his elf on
the shelf right behind him.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
John was never seen again. His only remains were an
elf on the shelf with a smug look sewed onto
his face. The Haunted Skateboard written by Wyatt Martinez Tubs,

(02:40):
age eight, Corey always wanted a scooter, but teen he
never got one. But one day, Corey's parents got him
a scooter. It was red, had blue stripes, and had
white wheels. He showed it to his friends, but they
all at him. Dude, why did you get a scooter,

(03:03):
asked the girl.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Scooters are for babies. Corey, are you a baby?

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Laughed a boy, I'm not, shouted Corey. Corey ran all
the way home. When he got to his room, he
threw the scooter out his window. He decided to sneak
out of his house and get a skateboard. When his
parents were asleep, he snuck out of the house. When
he got on the porch, he put on his crops.

(03:30):
He went to the nearby skateboard stoor, which was called
Skateboard Play. The employee wasn't there and the door wasn't unlocked.
There was a window open near the trash. He jumped
on the trash and jumped into the window.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
He was in.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
He was looking for a skateboard his size. He found
one that was his size, the only one his size.
The skateboard had three white stripes, it was black and
had a mad face colored in white on it. Figured
it would do. He went back out the window and
he was plowing on his street. When he got to

(04:06):
his house, he put the skateboard in his closet so
no one would find it. But then the skateboard moved.
The skateboard was shaking. Corey stepped back, and then the
skateboard leaped onto him. He wrestled with the skateboard before
the skateboard finally settled. Corey went back outside and put

(04:26):
the skateboard in the shed. His parents would find it.
He wouldn't care if his parents yelled at him for
stealing it. He just wanted to get the skateboard out
of there. The next morning, he tried to show his
parents where the skateboard was, but it was gone.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
The end.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Scareware written and narrated by Oscar Age three.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Scareware On't upon a time, There's a very scary beast
that's full of treasures. The monster ate some candy, and
then the monster grew up a manta cort just jumped
into the house. Then the mantacor just look at them

(05:33):
mount the monster. You just swam out of the house,
leaving the monster. The monster that you just looked at
the boy's appears and just.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Shadowed out of Perhaps that's not the end. It the
story of the Monster That's full of treasures. That story
is really really long. And then the miter just went
to monster's house and just snubbed in the monster's bed.

(06:08):
And then the monster of the morning time the end.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
The Axe Man written by Emory Garner, aged seven. One day,
me and my sister and my mom and dad went camping.
When we got there, my mom and dad set up
our tent. Me and my sister went into the woods
to play with our ball. Then we were getting hungry,
so we went back to the camp. We roasted hot

(06:49):
dogs and marshmallows. I remembered that we left our ball
in the forest. Me and my sister went to get
flashlights from the tent. We went back into the forest,
looked and looked for our ball. Then I realized that
we were lost. I heard a noise behind me. I
saw a figure with an axe stepping out of the shadows.

(07:11):
He picked us up and brought us back to his cave.
Then he left to get my mom and dad next,
but he left his axe in the cave. I had
an idea. I picked up the axe and waited. When
the crazy axe man came back with my mom and dad,
I popped out of the shadows.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
And swung the axe.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
The end.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
The Past's Fires written by Land and Schmirk. We start
out this story with a twelve year old boy named Luke.
He has dark brown hair and bright green eyes. He's
in his room playing video games with his best friend, Mike,
who's a few inches shorter than he is. Mike is

(08:05):
an African American boy with olive colored eyes who only
lives two houses away. Get down, I see a sniper
on the hill. Luke murmurs of the game loud enough
so that Mike could hear.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
I don't see.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
All of a sudden, there was a loud crash in
Luke's kitchen. Then the power went out. The only light
left in his room was the battery powered alarm clock
that read seven thirty six pm. August third, twenty twenty four,
Luke let out a startled scream, Mom, who was that you?

(08:42):
There was no answer. A long silence followed, and then
a noise in his bedroom startled him yet again.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Luke.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Okay, Luke knew the voice. It was Mike speaking from
his walkie talkie. Luke led out a small sigh of
relief and grabbed the walkie talkie, pressed the button on
the side, and responded, Yeah, I think so, but my
power just went out and I heard a loud crash
in my kitchen. By power went out too, Mike replied.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
You should try it.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Go find your houses breaker to try it. Turned onto power. Luckily,
I have a backup generator that should be true to
go on eighty minute now. I'll try, but if I die,
I'm haunting you. But just before Luke was about to
get up, he clicked the button on the walkie talkie again. Hey,
are you hearing anything from your parents? My mom didn't

(09:30):
respond when I yelled for her. Mike responded, sounding slightly scared.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
No, Bye.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Bob wouldn't respond either. They shared a long silence before
Luke finally said, Okay, I'm gonna go down to the kitchen.
And check on my mom. Then I'll try to get
the power back on so we can find out what's happening.
Luke was scared, but a spark of bravery whorled in
his voice. Sounds good to be I wish you luck.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Mike said.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Luke got up and strapped his walkie, talking to the
side of his sweatpants, and picked up an old flashlight
that was sitting on his desk that luckily still had
a little battery power left. Then he went to grab
his doorknob and murmured to himself, here we go. He
opened the door and walked cautiously out into the hallway.

(10:21):
As Luke walked to the end of the hallway and
finally reached the staircase, he heard somebody talking, we did it,
it worked, rejoiced a tall black figure in Luke's kitchen,
where a machine that looked like a ticket booth lay
resting on a bunch of broken tiles. Luke got scared
and started trying to go back up the staircase to
his room to call the police. But five steps away

(10:43):
from the top of the staircase, Luke hit the one
step that creaked, and the man in the kitchen stopped
talking and looked up. He saw Luke crouched there with
a look of terror on his face. The man shouted
stop right there. He pulled out a futuristic looking weapon.
Luke's screamed and jumped up the last of the steps
and bolted down the hallway to his room, slamming the

(11:04):
door shut and locking it behind him. Holy crap, he
said to himself. Then he looked down to try and
grab his walkie talkie to tell Mike to call the cops,
but his walkie talkie wasn't there. In his panic while
dashing up the stairs, he must have hit the support
rail and knocked it off his side, but that wasn't
his biggest concern. He was more focused on the man

(11:26):
that was banging on his door with that futuristic weapon
in his hand. Then, all at once, the banging stopped
and aloud sting filled the house. Luke's door, or what
was supposed to be his door, was now a pile
of smoking ash behind it. The man stood, looking very

(11:46):
fit and strong. He rushed through the ash and aimed
his weapon directly at Luke. Scared, Luke finally had the
courage to look up at the man and he was
surprised to see the stranger had a very puzzled look
on his face. You're not a buyer, You're just a kid,
Luke responded with a voice that was filled with everything

(12:08):
but bravery. Yeah, I'm just a kid. Please don't hurt me.
The man looked even more puzzled. Why would I hurt you?
Luke let out a slightly more relieved, but still scared reply,
because you're a robber. The man, sounding offended, said in
a loud voice, a robber. I'm not a robber. I'm

(12:33):
He let a moment of silence fall in the room
before finally adding, I don't I don't understand. What is
today's date? The man sounded rushed with what. Luke asked,
what date is it? Then Luke fearfully screamed, it's on
my desk. The date is on my desk. The man

(12:53):
glanced fastly at Luke's desk, staring at the alarm clock,
and while he did that, Luke had grabbed his small
metal trash can, lifted it up, got to his feet,
and hit the man directly in the head with it.
He fell with a loud thud and murmured almost out
of time when the man woke up. He was tied

(13:15):
to a chair with two kids staring him down. Who
are you and how did you get into my house?
Luke said, sounding angry and scared at the same time.
Fishte all Who is he? The man said, pointing at Mike,
who was now in Luke's kitchen inspecting the glowing photo booth.
That's Mike, my best friend, Luke said, that's your name,

(13:38):
asked the man. That doesn't matter right now, said Luke, bravely.
What matters is how you got into my house. Where
are my parents? Who are you? Demanded Luke. The man paused,
then sighed. He said, if you untie me, I will
tell you everything. Luke paused, looking hesitant, but he thought

(13:59):
it would be all right since he now had the
man's weapon. Fine, Luke said, sounding poudy. Okay, said the man.
He held out his hand and his gun flew across
the room and into his open palm. I am part
of an elite team desked with coming to the past
to stop a virus that won't rest until the entire

(14:20):
planet is dead, and we only have three days until
the virus starts taking over. The room went silent, with
Mike staring at the man as if he had just
created the cure for cancer right in front of him.
Then the silence was broken by Luke's laughter, you really
expect us to believe that you're a time traveler sent

(14:41):
to stop zombies from killing everyone?

Speaker 2 (14:44):
The man stared at Luke.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Now, I don't expect you to believe me, But don't
you think it's a little odd that as soon as
your parents disappear and all the power in your neighborhood
goes out, that I just appear out of nowhere in
a ticket booth. After taking a deep breath of air,
the man continued as rant. And don't you think it's
odd that a single bullet from the gun he pointed

(15:10):
at the futuristic weapon in his hand, can just magically
turned doors into ash. Luke stuttered like he was about
to say something, but stopped when Mike said, oh, okay,
we believe you, But what do we have to do
with these viars? The man looked puzzled. How do you
know about the vires? Mike looked around nervously, Uh, Luke

(15:36):
told me. The man looked at Luke. Luke, is your
alarm clock accurate in time? Luke looked at him. No,
it's three days behind. Back away from, Mike urged the man.
What I said, back away from Mike Luke paused, but

(15:56):
then quickly complied. Since the man was armed, what's wrong,
Mike asked in a quivering voice. Suddenly, the man raised
his weapon and fired a shot. Mike screamed and erupted
into a charred bag of green goose.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Fires.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
They imitate friends, which makes them hard to tell apart,
and the infection has begun, so we have to work together,
the man said. Luke looked disgusted. He said, but if
if that's a fire, then where's my real friend? The
man looked at Luke, Your friend is probably There was

(16:35):
a knock on the door. I'm going to come with
you to see who that is, so stay behind me,
the man said. They slowly walked toward the door, and
the man started counting as he held the doorknob. One, two, three.
He opened the door as fast as he could and
pointed his weapon at the real Mike, who was standing

(16:56):
on the porch. Mike Luke screamed as he pushed past
the man. Who is that? Mike asked of the strange man,
It's okay? This is my friend? Uh Luke paused and
looked up at the man who What is your name?
The man looked reluctant, but finally said, I am Nightwing,
the Elite Forces Sergeant. Mike looked at him, scared but

(17:20):
also amazed. Awesome, he said in awe. They went inside
and locked the door. Nightwing explained everything to Mike as well,
and then asked, are you in. Mike stared at him,
looking like he had just been waiting his entire life
for this exact moment, and then, without hesitation, he squealed yes.

(17:50):
Landon Jimurk is working on publishing The Past Buyers is
a full book. Keep an eye out for it to
