SMSgt (Ret) Gary Hostetler

Gary Hostetler was born in Hope Arkansas, October 18 1932. Joined the Air Force in October of 1951. He completed basic training and went to MP School at Camp Gordon, Ga. His first assignment was in Okinawa, Japan. He stayed here for 2 years as a security Forces member guarding the B52s. he was then transferred to tinker AFB where he met his wife and had their first child. transsferred again in may 1957 to Rushmore Air Force Station in South Dakota. Gary then crossed trained into Radar Electronics School in Lowery AFB, CO. In 1959 Gary was then stationed at Altus AFB, OK. He was stationed their for 9 years and served as an electronics Team Chief, Trainer and Inspector. Gary's final move was to Chanute AFB,IL in 1970 and 8 years later retired as a SMSgt with 26 years in the military. Gary now resides in Fort Myers, Fl.
