All right, welcome to a specialsit down episode on the Molin Friends Get
Random podcast channel. And today Iam here with my friend Vellaen but you
know her better as d J LadyFirse Killing It. But today we are
not talking about music. I wouldlove to, but we're not talking about
music. We're gonna talk about aproduct that she has coming out or she

(01:00):
has out, sorry, I meanit is out and she's trying to make
it big in the skincare business,a new venture. Yes, it is
called Miracle Muck. And according tomy daughter who is also here joining us
today, Leonora say, Hi,Hi, it is really really really good.
So I don't know anything about thisstuff. That's why she is here.

(01:22):
Valain is here. We're gonna talk. First off, Villain, when
did you come up with this idea? So this all happened in twenty twenty
during the pandemic. I you know, I've had trouble with my skin over
the years. The DJ lifestyle definitelyhas taken a toll on me. You
know, it's not always the healthiestdiet or the best hours. You know,

(01:42):
you're around a lot of smoke andso you know, I was able
to hide it for a while myacne and I was wearing a lot of
makeup. But when twenty twenty hit, I think the stress just sort of
just like my face just like exploded. And you know, I never really
meant to create this, but Iwasn't able to find anything that was on

(02:04):
the market that I could use onmy broken skin that didn't hurt it or
make it feel worse like, becauseit was like it's like actually having wounds
on your face or your back orwherever it is. And so I created
this out of my kitchen just beinglike like something has to help, and
like I had such amazing results thatI just I kept experimenting with it more

(02:25):
and more, sort of perfecting theformula. And you know, now four
years later, I'm finally ready toreally push this to market because I feel
like I see people out that I'mlike, I can help you. This
can help, you know, andit's not just for your face. Like
I helped my dad. He wasterminally ill and he had all kinds of

(02:46):
like weird skin things. His feetwere like like gnarly, and so I
used it on his feet and itwas like the transformation was really remarkable.
So I'm still you know, I'mtrying to get it to other people's well
because I'm curious to see what otherskin conditions you can address. Because it's
all natural ingredients, it's really gentle, but it's super effective. Well,

(03:07):
I mean I saw one hundred percentdifference, and she had a couple of
spots going on her face here, and then luckily you had, you know,
given her the sample product, andnotice one hundred percent difference. Your
skin was soft, it was youknow, the it does. It pulls
a lot of dead skin off thesurface and also like kind of gets all

(03:29):
this stuff that's sort of underneath thatyou don't even realize is there. So
yeah, and you have amazing skinto begin with. But like you know,
we're always very overcritical of ourselves, right, So it's if he just
gives you that little bit more confidence. Or for me, where I'm not
wearing like a full face of makeup, I can just like put in a
little powder and a scare and I'mlike, okay, I'm ready to go.

(03:50):
Whereas you know, when I firstcreated this product, I was like,
strangely enough, I was grateful forthe mask mandates because I was like,
oh, thank god, I cancover half my face and no one's
gonna know what's going on under here, you know. But secretly it was
like that was such a horrible feelingto be like, oh God, but
you know, no one knows what'sgoing on under here. So yeah,

(04:15):
what what did you first? Off? Chemically? How did you figure this
all out? You said you madeit in your kitchen, Like what did
you like like focus pocus like whichis stuff? Like what did you do?
Like, yeah, I need someI I was looking through my cabinets,
you know, and I'm like, what you know. I knew like
oatmeal is good for your skin.I knew like I had some like activated

(04:40):
charcoal, which which I used likeusually for like an upset stomach or something,
but it draws like impurities and toxinsout of the body. So I
was like, all right, Ifeel like this makes sense. Let's try
some of that. You knowhoba oilI'd used as a moisturizer and that was
really nice, So use some ofthat. And you know, it's like
as I sort of like tossed allthese things into my little you know,

(05:01):
and then I started doing research andreally finding out with the skin benefits where
I was like, oh, ohcool, you know, like it's sort
of it was like this like slumDog Millionaire moment where I was like,
all of these things just happened tobe here and they came together exactly perfectly
the right way. Right. Soyeah, you know, I guess I'm
just a little bit of a hippie, so my kitchen cabinets might not look

(05:24):
like everyone right by some of suchoils in there, a little coil silver.
I guess it comes from the area. You know, we're around woodstock,
so I mean, you know,I mean other other than these such
oils. It's it's edible, youknow, like I've used it on my
daughter since she was little. Ithink that was the most amazing application I
found so far. Is my daughterhad a wart on the bottom of her

(05:46):
foot and on her hand right. We we tried doing it at home,
little freezing kids. I took herto the doctor. They tried to freeze
it off. They used toad venom, which this is a treatment. So
I was like, okay. Iwas like if it's not They're like,
no, it's safe. It justsounds weird. I was like, okay,
nothing, and so I took miracleluck. I put that on there.

(06:08):
I put like this sort of waterproofband aid left and on overnight.
I did that about three times ina row and it was gone, and
I was like, this is amazing, Like I'm honest, something down here
to everything. Okay. So yeah, that's why I'm like, I'm still
sort of in the experimentation phase. Is like I've used it for myself and
my family, but I'm really curiousto get into other people's hands because I

(06:32):
feel like this could be great forexema roisation. It sounds like you could
be Honestly, I'm like, didthe way you're talking like I got some
I got old man feet, allright, so I'm about to try that.
Yeah, like I got this,Like I'm forty four years old this
year, and I got some reallybad I've used my feet. Okay,
I've used my feet, and thatsounds like I might talk about your dad's.

(06:53):
You know, they should have broughtthem for you. I will buy
it, don't don't even I willbuy it off of you if it works,
like it's a lot I want toset up. So my my next
program I want to set up iscalled Yuck for Muck. Okay, So
I want to get people to likesend me pictures of their weird, nasty
thing that they're like, I don'tknow what to do with it. I
can't fix it. Help me belike, Okay, this is gross.

(07:13):
Let's help you, you know,I'll you send me your yuck. I'll
send you some muck, send methe after pictures, and let's see if
we can like heal some people. It's a great promotional idea, that is
ge that's one goal, like inthe near future, I want to get
that launched because I just finished myfirst official month of being in business.
This is like today congratulation, thisis an anniversary. I love it.

(07:38):
This is awesome, this is great. Like I this sounds like a miracle
product quite frankly, and I thinkyou are onto something here, seriously,
and you should definitely keep doing that, like promoting it and getting it out
there. And because there's a lotof people that do need help. Skin
conditions are like crazy, and there'sa lot of people that are self conscious

(08:01):
about any little blemish they have, you know what I mean. And if
this can even help them a littlebit, yeah, I don't see if
there's a downside at all. Andyou know, and it's it's like I
said, it's totally natural. I'veeven been considering, like I haven't had
anyone complain about the oils, butI know that they can be like a
little mentholated, it can be.So I'm like, i might make a
sensitive skin one that doesn't have theoils in it. But you know,

(08:24):
I'm just sort of curious to getsome of that customer feedback as well,
right right, because it's all it'sit's still an experiment and you know,
the human body is getting fascinated itis. I suggest on your website for
that, have a you know,a section that you can have interactions with
them, you know what I mean, like like a newsletter type for you

(08:45):
know, there is an option fora blog on there. And so I'm
sort of like starting each little thinglike one step at a time because I
want to make sure I can maintainit, right, But yeah, I
really think that interaction, that oneon one, the you know, getting
people's feedback is going to be reallypowerful moving forward. You know, I
want to see how it works forpeople. Do you have a YouTube channel?

(09:07):
I don't not for Miracle Mom,you should set it up. That's
an easy way to interact with thepeople, you know what I mean.
YouTube channel if you need help,I got you. I'm gonna okay,
well have on that all right,I got you. Don't worry about that.
I do. One thing I didset up recently is I'm doing a
free fifteen minute consultation, which wouldbe like a zoom meeting. So if

(09:31):
you go on my website, anyonecan sign up for it. It gives
you an option. I think youhave to schedule at least three days ahead
of time, and then you know, they can pick a day in a
time that works for them and I'llgive them fifteen minutes just like answer any
questions. I can show them howit works. Yeah, like one on
one extraction. So I haven't hadanyone sign up yet, but it's there.

(09:52):
It'll it will come, trust me. Like we have a newsletter for
the website and everything, and ittook med long for even five people to
get it, like at least ayear. I was putting these out,
and I don't think anybody's reading itall of a sudden, like like they
started coming and drove. So theywant somebody years about it. You got
it? You know, that's that'sthe next step. So I've slowly been

(10:13):
collecting content and now I'm like, okay, am I ready to open the
floodgates and like run that first ad. So I think that's sort of what
I'm preparing my Well, you havean open spot here on this thing.
Anytime you want We're run on iHeartRadio, Spotify, all the major platforms.
So you got a you got anad, run here anytime you want
it. All right, period questionlenor all right, I gotta talk to

(10:37):
you about this now you're experience,You're gonna talk. Yeah, you're here
for a reason. Uh so yougot your experience with it? Now?
She made a little video. Didyou post it on your your Okay,
well she's on here, uh anduh Valin were posting video of it on
her she's just uh informed so ofher using the product, and she she

(11:03):
what was your experience with it?First? Off night? One night?
One night? One okay? Sowhat I like, bost started using it?
Girl, Like, come on,I've seen you talk to your friends
at length. You can do thisson like they're not out there. Yeah
exactly. Yeah. So basically whenI both studied using it, I don't

(11:26):
know it like it's just like Iwas talking girl, you've been on my
show. I want to say firstof all, like when I saw the
video, she's like professional influencer already, I say, she can do this
on her take too, her Instagram, all this all day long. I
was very impressed. Like I wasone of the things I was nervous about
because I haven't actually seen someone readingthe directions and doing it. I'm like,
Okay, do the directions make sense? And the way you did it,

(11:50):
I was like, oh, ohit makes sense. Oh she's getting
it. She's got it. Likeit looks exactly the way it's supposed to
do. So that was like forme, I was like, okay,
I'm like this was easy enough toread, like and it seemed like you
felt pretty comfortable. I'm not sureif you had read it before you took
it out. I had, sothat's amazing because it seemed like you were
very like Okay, do this,do that, and like you were doing
everything exactly right. So that waslike very encouraging. Did you have any

(12:13):
questions for her about that stuff? It's like, I don't know you're talking
about it for like the different typesof like skin conditions, and I have
like really bad like strawberry skin, like on my legs and all my arms.
I get like really self conscious aboutit. Do you think it might
be able to help with that?Totally? Totally yeah, I would definitely
try it there as well. Iwould try it anywhere, honestly, because

(12:37):
it's like the formula is so naturalthat it's like it's really it's fine to
put anywhere on your body. Justdon't take it internally, don't eat it,
but yeah, anywhere. And youknow, like I was saying,
like with my daughter when I whenshe had like something a spot that was
like really bad, like her warp, I put a waterproof band aid over
it. So like if you havesomething that's like just like really like lingering

(12:58):
or hurting or not going away, like there's there's I'm still learning the different
ways that we can apply it.Whereas I saw you use it as the
mask, I also saw you useit as a scrub, which I use
it in the scrub in the showeralmost every day. And you know,
I'm still like you can see myskin is still recovering. Like this has
been a really long journey for me, but I'm at the point where I

(13:22):
don't have active breakouts anymore. Andthat is like such a sigh of relief
because it just it really affects you, like when you are going out,
when you're feeling self conscious, whetherit's on your shoulder or your leg or
your face, like you feel likeeveryone is staring at you and it's just
like you know. So finally beingat this place and talking about it has
been really weird, but it's likeit's very freeing at the same time.

(13:46):
So that's why I'm like excited tohear like other people being like yeah,
like and I want to see ithelp and work, So we'll get you
some more so you can let meknow if it works for you. And
summer's coming, so this is theperfect time to do it, and it's
definitely the perfect especially with the pooloutside. So you know, I put
it up for a reason. Yeah, yeah, very hard. Yeah yeah,

(14:09):
basically saying it's working for a lotof stuff. And guys, guys,
I'm very self conscious about my skinas well. I had went through
a rough patch. Lenora here cantestify that I had some really bad skin
going on for some reason. Idid some yard work, like way back
a couple of years ago at theold old place that we lived at,
and then like all of a sudden, next I broke out into some kind

(14:33):
of something and it would not goaway. Doctor said it was bacterial.
So I was like, okay, they were like, let's give you all
these creams, let's give you thesemeds. Let's say nothing was working.
So finally I went to a dermatologistand they gave me, you know,
zaps, it like extra strength stufflike that, and it worked a little
bit, but my skin is stilllike I get breakouts real fast. I

(14:56):
never used to get breakouts at allwhen I was younger. Not so much
fun in your forty, I feellike, oh, well, why is
this happening? Yeah, exactly,so it guys, it does happen.
Guys, I'm gonna try this stufffor myself too, and I'm gonna I'm
gonna I gotta. I'm glad youbrought that up too, because I think
that's another thing I want to touchon in my marketing and promotion is that
skincare is not only for women, right, It's not only for teenagers.

(15:18):
You know. It's like, there'sso many people that are suffering from all
different kinds of conditions, and Ithink a lot of us, as we
get old, older, we're justsort of like, Okay, I guess
I live with this now. Yeah, but now it's like you know,
men, women, you know, young, old, Like, I really
think that there's health benefits for everyone, and it is. It's anti microbial,

(15:39):
it's anti bacterial. There's like alot of different anti fungal. So
I really think that, you know, even like my boyfriend had he's gonna
hate me first, so you know, even some of the single ingredients.
You know, he was having athletesbut that was like horrible. It was
like like the funk was crazy, but like it was like uncomfor you know.

(16:00):
And so even just like some ofthe single ingredients on their own.
T Tree oil is amazing. Andhe tried so many different things on the
market. He tried the T Treeoil, which I've been using in my
muck, and he was like, bit, what is going on? Like
it's magic. I was like,I know, it's like a miracle.
You know. So it's like thethe ingredients are really powerful and they're natural,

(16:22):
but you know it's you don't alwaysneed chemicals to get some of these.
Well that's the thing, like theydid these the dermatologists and the doctors
are real quick to just give youall this you know stuff with all these
like Benzo cycle of Benza trade orwhatever, like you can't even pronounce it.
I'm like, you're fine. They'relike, you know, don't touch
children. Ye don't go out thedirect sun, don't do it. I'm

(16:44):
like, but I want to gooutside to vampire life. He doesn't.
Yeah, Like, all right,I got a good scam, but I
can't leave the house, you know, right, But like how you had
bad, very bad skin, Likeright now you can I'm telling you right
now, you can't notice a damnthing. See, I'm still very self
conscious of my scars, which are'mstill healing, right, But yeah,

(17:07):
it was it was bad. LikeI wouldn't leave the house without a full
face of makeup and now like Iwear makeup when I'm performing, and I
you know, it makes me feelmore confident. But you know, it's
not like I do leave my housesometimes with no makeup on, and that
I never would have done. Itwas like it was, you know,

(17:27):
I was dropping my daughter off atschool and I was struggling to like cover
everything. You know, I'd makeI'd make my my partner drive the car,
so I you know, it's justthis constant feeling of like people are
looking at me because it looks likethere's something wrong with me. You know,
I felt like I felt like somesort of a zombie, like a
freak show. It was really uncomfortable. You know that. I get how

(17:49):
that you know is I'm sure Lenoragets that too. It's got to be
just a It's like I said,it can't just be a female thing.
You know, Guys, like youknow, I'm on this whole thing now
where I'm like, guys, openup, do you know what I mean?
Don't don't sit there and act likeoh macho man, you know,

(18:11):
and going If you need your selfconscious about your skin, you go out
there. Ask the women what theyknow, like they they you see them
going through this, like tell themthat you're not alone, you know what
I mean, Like, uh,it's it. We don't really care.
Honestly, I'm gonna tell you thisis a guy like a guy guy.

(18:32):
Yeah, the skin doesn't matter tous. And I get you. Guys
are self conscious about it more thanprobably the average male because guys, you
know, we are self conscious, but we won't but maybe not. You
know, it's like just because youaren't saying anything doesn't mean you're not feeling
it or think that's sure. That'ssure. Men tend to hold it in
more like it's basically what it is, and like I just can't like come

(18:57):
in and like I got bad.I'm maybe the first one to out put
one of the masks on my face. If it works, I am happiest
man you'll see me in public.I will rock down in public if it's
like, yeah, miracle, motherfucker, that's right, I got good skin,
but yeah, it will. It'sit's it's transformative, and I think
that's been sort of one of thethe best parts of this whole journey,

(19:22):
is actually finally talking about it andbeing honest about it, because before I
was like hide it, don't letanybody know. I'm perfect. I look
like I do in my pictures, but my pictures have been edited and I'm
wearing piles of makeup and the lightingis just right, you know. If
the lighting was like two seconds later, it's like, oh, don't look
at that picture, you know.So it's just been really freeing, and
I hope that by doing that itgives other people the courage and the freedom

(19:45):
to be like, you know,I can now look at pictures of myself
and be like, yes, Ihave blemish skin in this picture. But
I'm still beautiful, and that isthat would I never would have been able
to see say that or see thatin myself. And I can also see
that in other people, you know. I feel like there was just this

(20:06):
thing of like, oh, everyoneshould look like these filters on their Instagram,
you see. And that's the thing, Like, that's where I have
a problem with the internet, youknow what I mean, Like, yeah,
everybody on these websites are giving auh not everybody. I can't say.
There's a lot of good people outthere trying to destigmatize all that stuff
and trying to you know, yes, and but there there's a lot of

(20:30):
people that still perpetrate, you know, like oh, you need to be
caked up with makeup and you knowyou gotta look like a certain way or
else you're not pretty conventional. I'mlike, or look how amazing this product
is while they're using a filter, right, yeah, showing me what the
product does. Yeah, you're ata studio. I could tell there's lights

(20:51):
everywhere, professional big lights. You'renot in your house, I can see
it. I could tell a corporatechill when I see what you know.
But and the thing is they putit on these and they know they target
younger women, and you know, they they're like, oh, you have
to. This is the way itis, so you have to. And
then it gets to their heads, that's it. And then if they if
they have one little blemish, they'relike, oh my god, I can't

(21:15):
you know, I can't do this. I have to and they start getting
their heads and it's just a bigcycle. And I really do think that
social media has a big responsibility thatit should take upon itself to let these
young ladies and men know that beautyis literally skin deep, you know what

(21:37):
I'm saying, Like the makeup,in the in the the the trying to
be what you're not a lot oftimes, you know what i mean,
like flossing stuff and you know, like all this shit you don't have,
and like it's it's right, peoplegoing broke trying to look like they're rich,
right exactly. And I'm like,yeah, yeah, I don't know
like it so, but I'm gladthat you're actually doing something now to help

(22:02):
empower people, you know, tocome out and be like, hey,
yeah, I got very bad skin, please help me, you know what
I mean. It's not the endof the world, you know what I
mean, and you're here to makethem feel better about themselves. And yeah,
there you go. It's a hugyou can wear every night and scribe
yourself in the morning. It's verycomforting. Yeah. No, it definitely

(22:23):
has been a process, and Ithink, you know, having my Miracle
MAK page, but also starting touse my DJ platform to talk about it
more honestly, because you know,I feel like a lot of times there
is so much perfection, and youknow that's expected from my DJ profile,

(22:44):
but I think that people are gettingreally tired of everything being perfect and people
want things to be real because thatis just so much it's so much more
refreshing, and it's so much moreof a connection. We live in a
digital world where what we're missing isthat connection, and so I think it's
taking me a little bit more timeto figure out how to integrate those two
things. But it definitely is partof that process. And you know,

(23:10):
maybe you know, using lady versusa spokesperson in a sense, you know,
and starting to get really real andshow myself more without makeup, right
so to my fans. So Imean like, oh wait, okay,
this is this is this is differentright. I mean, honestly, you
should just go out there on thattun be you and and people are will
respond. They will respond positively positivelybecause of who you are, you know

(23:34):
what I mean, and just beyou and they respond negatively. Apparently that's
great for the algorithm. So it'sit's awesome, you know what I mean.
I I ain't gonna lie sometimes,I say, you just to get
that algorithm. Unfortunately, it's partof the game. I guess, yeah,
No, but you know, it'sall positivity, and I'm glad that

(23:56):
you're you're here doing something positive,you know, And I'm I'm loving the
fact that your your skin's looking gorgeous, you know, comfortable in pain anymore,
That's what I'm saying, dude,Like you seem calm, you seem
nice, and you know, justcontent, you know, with a lot
of things. No, I thinkit's it's been a journey, you know.
And this is part of another partof this whole concepts sort of been

(24:18):
like that whole mind body connection inwhich you know, as I've been healing
physically, I'm also healing mentally emotionally. I think those things are very tied
together, and so I'm actually aportion of all my sales and as of
tomorrow, I'll be analyzing how muchI made. So I'm going to make
my first donation to Mental Health Americaand they make it really easy to donate

(24:41):
funds there and so I'll have morefeedback on exactly where that money goes.
But it's to help with mental healthservices for people who can't afford it.
Also spreading you know, information andknowledge making sure people are able to access
these resources. And I think it'sa worthwhile conversation to have because I think
a lot of times, if you'resuffering from mental health issues, it's going

(25:06):
to show up physically somewhere on yourbody. Or likewise, if you're having
physical ailments, you're having, youknow, things going on with your skin,
it starts to affect you mentally, you know. So those two things
can be very tied together. Well, I don't want to keep you too
long because I know you live abouta half hour at least from here.
At least beautiful. It is abeautiful ride again, like you are welcome

(25:32):
here any time to come back andjust show and I'm going to get you
some more. I'm going to advertisethis will take a lot of I am
great at that and both. Butuh so you gotta plug everything. Give
me your website, give me youknow everything that you're doing upcoming. As

(25:56):
DJ Lady Verse, I want toknow where you're going to be. People
got to know where you're spinning.Let's talk, let's do this, Okay.
So with Miracle Muck, it isjust Miraclemuck dot Com is the website,
and then my socials. I haveFacebook dot com slash miracle muck mask
and Instagram is the same. It'sInstagram dot com slash miracle muck. Maass
