This is where I don't know do you send out
twelve hundred tweets for cut players?
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Like?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
How does this work?
Speaker 3 (00:48):
All right?
Speaker 2 (00:48):
So he joins us now, Adam Schefter, welcome to Second
Take because we've been watching you on First take all morning.
This is second How you doing.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Yeah, it's good to be on Second Take with you.
Brett vic Mark back for another season.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Year we go.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
The madness never ends and the moves are flying in
right now.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah, and well, I'll obviously allow you to get to
your phone if you need it. But of all the
cuts that have taken place this morning. One stand out
is the biggest surprise to you, Adam.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
You know, Vick, I don't know that there's anybody that's
a surprised on this day. Like there are all sorts
of names that you hear about that you think about,
like some interesting names. They're more interesting than they are surprising,
right Like Tommy DeVito Giants quarterback. Interesting, Deontay Johnson, Brown's
receiver who a couple of years ago is on top
of the world as a receiver. Interesting, Greg dull sixty
(01:38):
former Broncos Giants tight end, Little Jordan Humphrey former Broncos
now Giants receiver, players like that, right like kJ Osborne
just released by the Commanders. He you know, names like that.
That's what we're talking about right now. Now. There might
be a surprise at some point today. I don't think
there's anything surprising, but it's all interesting.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
On top of that, Adam, we're trying to pay attention
to the Broncos and what's happening there, But we always
got an eye on the Shador situation. I'm sure you've
talked about it a ton already, but what do you
think the future after this preseason looks like, is he
just the third guy on the depth chart and they're
just gonna let him and Dylan Gabriel battle it out
or what?
Speaker 4 (02:17):
And it looks like he's the fifth round pick as
a quarterback. He's gonna be kept on the fifty three
man roster and he'll have a chance to develop. Like
that's what it looks like right now, which is completely normal.
I know, I know they talk about it on first
take and now it's second take here, but he you know,
he garners a lot of conversation, a lot of attention,
but it's pretty typical. It's pretty normal. What is happening
(02:39):
with a fifth round rookie quarterback who's on a roster?
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Can you, in your entire time covering the NFL think
about a fifth round pick that's been talked about more
than Shador Sanders.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Not initially as a rookie. Although you know, oh, we
just got a little bit of breaking news, So hold on.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Do you think your thing that don't?
Speaker 3 (03:01):
We'll talk amongst ourselves. We will. So when he gets
breaking news.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
So after you tweet it or you allowed to tell
us what you're tweeting afterwards, he's trying to go I'm.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Gonna have it cute up and then we're gonna don't.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Talk to him yet.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Right now, can you say something about me in the
in the.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
That Brett Kane predicted this big time. He knew this
was coming a mile away.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
What do you guys listen?
Speaker 4 (03:27):
I would say right now, so far, this would be
the biggest news of the day, right now.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Okay, hold on, hold on, can we guess? Don't tell
us you break? What team? What team?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Tennessee Tennesseee alright, let's see here.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
I'm gonna I'm gonna read.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Oh wait, wait, I think I no.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Well, he hasn't tweeted it yet. It's not out yet.
I got Dylan Cook from the Steelers.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
That's about it, hand hand hand.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Something to do with Simmons released.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
What is interesting about Tennessee?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
I don't know because smoke him.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, Calvin really Now.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
It's now out?
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Okay, okay, all right, hit us, hit us.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
What is we're about to see it? He just tweeted it.
I don't know it is.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
But I think that's football world. It's big, okay, right
football ta spears going on?
Speaker 1 (04:22):
I are.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Yeah, So so that means that you know, Tony polar
is the one guy there now is the last man standing.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Wow, so that that interesting odd estimate. The Tennessee booking.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
You know you're you're a fantasy nerd, aren't you, Adam?
You like fantasy a lot.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
I love fantasy.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
You're really good at your job because when you said
this is breaking using big, that resonates like one out
of ten for me to be honest.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
But you know what, you know what, Vig, I'll bet
you don't play fantacy football.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
You don't.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
You're exactly exactly right.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
I'm your guy for that, Adam. He'll always say he doesn't.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Mark you play fit, Brent, Mark, you play fancy.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I don't anymore, Adam, because when I'm in Montreal on
a Thursday night, forget to set my lineup, I get
screwed and I end up losing.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
The guy's on a buy and it just it stinks. Hey,
I got a question for you about these hold ins.
I mean, you've got a couple that are done. The
McLaurin thing was big, the Hendrickson thing was obviously big.
And he just gets fourteen million more dollars and he's
right back where he started I guess when he turns
thirty one. But my goodness, this Micah Parsons thing has
been excruciating for everybody involved. Can it get done? I mean,
(05:31):
because if it does, it's it's gotta be like right now.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Well, here's what I said to everybody. I really thought
that Trey hendrickson the Bengals were a world apart. And
I really thought Terry McLaurin and the Commanders were a
world apart, and they all were, and both of those
deals got done. So if you're Micah Parsons and the Cowboys,
that's what you take some hope in that, even though
the two worlds are miles apart, even though the two
sides aren't talking, even though the Cowboys haven't offered Micah
(05:59):
a deals. It's late March, early April, even though Micah
has issued a public trade request, even though Micah hasn't
practiced this summer, even though Mike is back, is still tight,
even though people are telling me this is Jerry Jones Waterloo,
even though the two sides don't like each other, even
though they're not close to them, even though all that
is going on, the season is getting close, and so
(06:19):
sometimes deals get done. But I don't feel that right
now with this one. Now Again, McLaurin and Henderson changed
within twenty four hours and they picked up a lot
of momentum, and that could happen at any point. Yere
with Micah at any point. But again, nothing going on
there right now. Nothing.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
We were just talking about quarterback situations across the league,
especially for some vets. How short or long is the
leash for Russell Wilson in New York, considering Jackson Dark
played so well in the preseason, you know, I think.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
It doesn't matter how long it is today. I think
I think it'll be dictated by what Russell Wilson does
during the regular season. If he's playing well and they're
winning games, he's going to keep playing. If he's struggling
and they're not winning. We saw what Jackson Dark can
do in the preseason. He played very well. There are
people in New York who who are anxious to see him,
(07:17):
and at some point we may see him. But right
now it's Russell's job and it's up to him to
keep it or to lose it.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Yesterday, the Broncos did make one cut. Audric Estima, running
back was let go, and not many people surprised here.
I guess from his resume and what he can do,
will he find another team pretty quickly? Will you be
surprised if he lands somewhere.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
I could see him being playing on waivers. I could
see that happening. But there aren't that many teams that
need running backs. So I think it's just as likely,
not out of the question, that he can be a
practice squad interesting candidate. So we'll see how that works out, right,
you know that's uh, well, I think he could get claimed,
(08:03):
but I think he'll be a practice squad candidate.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Also, I just see all these moves going down in
the last couple of days, like Amari Cooper back to
the Raiders, the Raiders trade for Kenny Pickett because they
O'Connell is out. Uh Is this, I guess, Adam, is
this a normal thing to have these guys you know
going you know going places late? This you know this
late in the in the process before the season begins.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Well, I think that what you're seeing is teams are
always adjusting their rosters at this time before the regular
season begins, as final cutdown day. Where I think there's
been a shift in the last few years is instead
of teams cutting guys now bottom in the roster, you're
seeing them trade it for seventh round picks in twenty seven. Yeah,
twenty eight, yep, pick lips. So teams know that this
(08:51):
team's going to be cutting them. Okay, we'd like him
rather than us losing him on waivers to the Titans
who have the first waiver claim, we'll flip picks with
you and we'll get that guy. So you've seen a
lot of that right now. I think that's the biggest difference.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Hey, Adam over in LA, because you're a fantasy nerd,
this would mean a lot to a lot of the
fantasy people out there. How much do you trust that
Matthew Stafford's actually okay and can get through this season?
All right?
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Well, he's gonna be out there opening the day and
they think he's gonna be okay, but it's a back
and backs are tricky. But you know he's also gonna
be I would imagine doing what he can on game
day to alleviate that pain and soften some of that
for a few hours each Sunday. So look, all I
can say is I'm confident he's gonna go out there
(09:42):
and put himself in a position to play. He's he
gonna hold up the full year. I don't know, but
he's gonna do what he can be out and he's
extraordinarily tough, and he doesn't miss a lot of games,
So I think I'm not counting on it, but I
would suspect he's gonna play more games than he's not.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Adam, Have you had a chance to read Seth Wickers
book yet? The Kings? I just finished now yet, Oh
my god, it's outstanding. There's a chapter in there where
he talks to Sean Payton. Sean Payton has this he
comes up with this calculated theorem on how to draft quarterbacks,
what he looks for in quarterbacks, and that's how he
ended up with bow Nicks sophomore season for bo Uh.
(10:19):
Do you think he can exceed what he did as
a rookie or is it going to be tough on him?
Speaker 4 (10:23):
I know, I think he can exceed what he's what
he did is rookie. I think he'll be that much.
He's he takes it very seriously. He's a worker, he's
dedicated to it. You know, people will have the book
on him, they'll be able to figure him out a
little bit, but no, I feel confident saying bo you know,
should continue to improve.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yeah, you know, it's.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Not hard to see though that a lot of people
are on the Denver Broncos right now at him. I
mean a lot of people on Yeah, a lot, and
I think for good reason, because the defense is going
to be killer. They've They've upgraded the offense, there's no
doubt about it. But how much of that is just
people being optimistic and jumping on the Cinderella bandwagon. How
much of it do when you look from the outside
(10:59):
in is legit these guys can contend for the AFC West.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
Well, they have the ingredients, they have a defense, they
have a quarterback. We think they're going to be able
to run the football. So yeah, I mean I think
they they're gonna be able to compete and contend. You know,
it doesn't mean they will, but I think they have
the type of team that is going to be in position.
I like where they're at. We'll see how it works out.
(11:25):
Good team as sending team, they're right, you know, a
lot of good players, no reason they can't have a
successful season.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Adam Schefter with us. All conversations with Adam are brought
to you by Colorado Credit Union, Love where you Live,
Love where You Bank. CCU helping Colorado's achieve their financial goals.
Visit CCU dot org to learn more. Just a point
of clarification, Adam, when the Broncos traded Davon Veley to
the New Orleans Saints was for the fourth and a
seventh round pick. Two things. There was rumors that multiple
(11:54):
teams were in on that. Do you know who those
teams were? First of all? Second of all, which fourth
round pick is it? Is it the Saints because I
believe they hold two. Is it the Saints pick or
the other fourth round pick?
Speaker 4 (12:06):
I don't know whis fourth. I know that another team
in on it was the Jacksonville Jaguars. I'm sure the
Vikings made some calls as well, but the Broncos had
a lot of interest in the end. Obviously, Sean has
a relationship with the Saints people, yep. And so they
can do what they're gonna do and go from there,
(12:26):
and that's what happened. They trade him to the Saints.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Adam schefter again with us, as he will be every
week moving forward. Now, happy to have you back at him.
One more thing, we were talking about this with Aaron
Rodgers in Pittsburgh. What Aaron Rodgers is left? And I
know it's the old thing with Mike Tomin. He's never
had a losing season, Like, is this a team Denver
should be worried about stealing a wild card spot?
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Well, I definitely think they're capable of doing that. They
seem to do that every year. They've lost their last
six playoff games. They're always competing, they're always tough, they're
always good, but they're never good enough or not recent years,
to go win a playoff game. And so I am
I worried about them from the Broncos. No, but I
(13:16):
do think Aaron Rodgers has a point to prove after
last year. I think he has a chip on his shoulder.
I think he's not ready to have his career end
the way that it did last season. Though he played
better in New York than I think people realize.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
I think he was.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
Pretty good last year and people are forgetting that. And
now he comes in even more motivated on a better
team with great coaching, and I think I think he's
gonna play well.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
I'm mister home office, by the way, So how many
phones do you have in front of you right now.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
I'm in a hotel room in New York City and
I'm about to head out of here to go home,
to go do NFL Live this after and just track
all these moves and see what trades are being made.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Yeah, I can tell you're still wearing your makeup because
your lips look full.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
What what? How are my lips looking full? What would
that have anything to do with wearing makeups?
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Well, Adam, I know because I'm in the television business.
I know when makeup is worn. You just got out
of set, got off studios. So your lips look nice.
I'm just giving you a compliment, nice plump lips.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
That I bring. But I'm just curious, like they don't
touch your lips and makeup so like, yeah, but.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
They they paint around the lips, they paint around them
and more pronounced Yeah, more pronounced lips look good.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
And I'm gonna be honest with you, Adam. I do
my own makeup. Vic does his own makeup. We don't
look as.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Good as you, and my lips are never there.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
We're never We're never that plump man. We're never Barbara
Barbara Hershey and beaches.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
We're not like that.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
You know what, when I'm at home, we're not TV
from home, I never put on any makeup. But when
you're in the city and they're there, you know, everything's there,
like okay, you get some get some powder, and Samantha
shine on you.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Right.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Last thing, Adam, this is a great thing from a texture.
He said, you nailed the Broncos wind total last year,
So what is it this year?
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Did I get it exactly?
Speaker 2 (15:00):
I think you said you said they're gonna win around
ten games.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
This year.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
What is the over under for them this year?
Speaker 2 (15:08):
I think it's nine.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
I thought it was nine and a half.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
And you don't have to answer.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
We can answer this, Nett.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
And I've exceeded their win total and they did easily.
And I've exceeded their win total and they did easily,
and I feel good about them. But I think it's
just it's a tough schedule. It's a tough conference, tough division,
tough everything. I believe in the team, but it's just
(15:35):
some tough circumstances. So we'll see how that plays out,
and I'll give you totally next next US day, we
have that to look forward to.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
All right, let's do it, Adam. Get back on that phone.
Always appreciate your time, buddy, thanks so much.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
All right, guys, I appreciate it. Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Show a great day, Adam Schefter, ESPN now joining us
every week. Yet a second take. We're gonna call this
second second take shift with Adam Schefter.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
This is a brain damage day for him though, I mean,
he is on that phone like crazy.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
All conversations with Adam I brought to you by Johnson
on a plaza where you get the selection service and
incredible savings on Ramjeep, Chevy Buck and GMC all at
one location. Experience the power of the Plaza at Johnson Autoplasa.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Back after this, Yeah, I could tell you're still wearing
your makeup because your lips look full.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
What what what would how are my lips looking full?
What would that have anything to do with wearing makeupas well?
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Adam? I know because I'm in the television business. I
know when makeup is worn. You just got out of set,
got off studios. So your lips look nice. I'm just
giving you a compliment, nice plump lips that.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
I agree, But I'm just curious, like they don't touch
your lips in makeup, so like.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Yeah, but they look they paint around the lips, they
paint around them and more pronounced. Yeah, more pronounced. Lips
look good. And I'm gonna be honest with you, Adam.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
I do my own makeup. Vic does his own makeup.
We don't look as good as my lips are never there.
We're never We're never that plump man. We're never Barbara,
Barbara Hershey and beaches.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
We're not like that.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
A lot of liptok with Adam.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
I noticed good things. You know, long ago they took
away our makeup artists. Were you back in the day,
we used to have makeup artists local news before every newscast.
That's the first thing to go. They don't do that
stuff anymore. It's up to you now, Yeah, it's up
to me. Have you seen my own face? Yeah? I
saw you at the thing in your mouth trying to
(17:23):
paint your teeth.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Great, Brett don't care.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
Hey, by the way, makeup I've I've decided to do
something based on what Adam just told us.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Shocking, by the way, I know it is shocking.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna I'm gonna commit to
it this year after years of mocking it, laughing at it,
reveling in everyone's stupidity over it. I'm gonna do a
fantasy team this year, because, yeah, because I don't feel
like I'm up to speed on all the personnel.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
I said he didn't know who Taj Spears was.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
I've heard of him, but I just don't have any
like yeah, whatever, So I'm gonna do fantasy.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Hey, just quickly, I came and draft seven kickers. Came
across the story from David Ubin of The Athletic. I'm sorry.
So they asked fifty seven players what their best purchase
was in college football with their nil money, and a
lot of them are the answers you expect. A lot
of got cars. A couple bought houses for like their mom,
(18:22):
which I think is really cool. Texas Tech quarterback Baron
Morton about one hundred and fifty acres of land. Why
because he's an outdoorsman. He said, It's thirty minutes from
my parents' house. It has fishing tanks, little elevation change,
a lot of deer, pigs, varmints, ducks, everything.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
That's probably a smart thing to do. Incredibly, I mean,
there's only so much.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Land in this world.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
If you can get some land fifty acres.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
That's kind of cool. I think that's Look. I've always
said this if I, if I, you guys will know
if I win the lottery or get a lot of
money because I'll have a private chef. That's correct, That's
it's the first thing I would do. Just be like,
I just want to go home and be like snacks.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
What will I have a beer, beer fridge.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Well, it brings out how much money be talking us
a boat with a boat. How about billionaire?
Speaker 1 (19:18):
How about five hundred million could I get?
Speaker 3 (19:21):
I can get a boat with a boat for five
hundred million.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Yeah, you aren't going to be like Jeff Bezos, but
you can get you can get a really nice one.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Yeah, I saw Michael Jordan's yacht in the ocean.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
I saw Michael Jordan's yacht off of am Offy Coast. Yeah,
I know, the black one. Yeahs sweet Brett.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Boat with the boat with the boat with the boat
with a helicop, helicopter with the boat with the boat
with a helico. I think you could land a seven
forty seven on it. I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Uh Texas says Vick will turn into an addict once
he joins fantasy football. It's going to be hilarious. I
think you're actually right on that. No, I won't.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
I won't. You know, I'm I'm pretty lazy when it
comes to doing person and l picks and all that crap.
When do you have to do that?
Speaker 2 (20:03):
It's a nice way to keep up. It's it's a
nice way to keep up. That's it.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Yeah, but man, I forget to set my lineup. Would
you help me with mine?
Speaker 4 (20:10):
So?
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Kel No, dude, I I did fantasy football for thirty years.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
You gonna wait those waters on.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Your should man, I'm not. I'm not doing it anymore.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Do it on your own.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Man, I've been I've been out of it for a
couple a couple years.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Give money away. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
You do with your kid, Your kid will he'll love that.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Okay, So this is an interesting point from my cliss
because I kind of forgot about this again. I believe
the rule is, if I have this correct before cutdown day,
you can only designate two players for the short term.
I r before the fifty three man decision. Okay, Okay,
And that's where I was talking about earlier teams do
(20:51):
roster gymnastics they'll cut somebody to be like, we're gonna
do this, and we get to fifty three, we'll put
this guy on I R and bring it back.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
I told you that yesterday that Nate Adkins is a
perfect candidate for that. Now, how long he's going to
be out?
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Three? Yeah, three guys to make a decision on that
are all dudes that are hurt but will come back.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Atkins is the big one.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Atkins, Burton, Drew Sanders if you're remember.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
About him, that's three. See, I think you do it
with Atkins and Sanders because you can you can risk
having Burton, That's what I'd think you could risk that,
and they have. They've risked it before. They've brought him
up and down. Remember last year. They did it all the.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Time because once he goes with the practice squad, anybody
else can sign him off your practice.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
I think I think those two are the ones, Sanders
and Atkins.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
So still some moves left. Let me get Let me
throw this on you guys. You guys are the talk
amongst yourselves. I'm gonna count how many cuts have been
made by the Broncos so far and what we have left.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Okay, Vic, I'm believing I'm gonna take a wild guess
that right now it's at least sixteen seventeen eight, it's
eighteen or eighteen or nineteen right.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Now on my computer's frozen, so I.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Think it's about it's eighteen or nineteen as we speak.
If you if you threw newse him out there, you
threw hells do you turner yell out there?
Speaker 3 (22:12):
That's eighteen. The most interesting will be the most interesting
remaining move will be what they do with Allen Courney Jackson.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
That's ninety. I think it's nineteen.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
What do they do with Sam Allen? That's the remaining move,
sam My brother, We'll going with Ellinger? Yeah, I know,
all right, I don't know. What do you think they'll do?
Speaker 1 (22:34):
I think that Jared, I think listen to me. I
think that Sean Payton likes him.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Well. Last year they kept three quarterbacks when they really
didn't have to. Why wouldn't they do it again?
Speaker 2 (22:44):
I think might count is twenty three twenty three three
cut so far, so that leaves another fourteen mm.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Hmmm.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Oh, I think that. I think that I think they
like Sam Ellinger. I think they're intrigued to.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
I don't think enough enough spot enough to take a
spot away.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Okay, well, how about if something should happen to Bonix
all of a sudden, you're in need of a Sam Ellinger.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
The guy's played in the league. Something he's taking, He's
taking real NFL star Attaman Beyond. He was the MVP
of the preseason for crying out out. Yeah right, so
is Kyle Sloater. Got it so so crazy, so little
belief in what the preseason does. You see all these
guys that have shined in the preseason and have done well,
(23:32):
and they get cut.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Greg Dolci, if you look at his numbers for the
Giants in the preseason, was pretty damn good at three
touchdown catches.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
And get you Torney Jackson looked good for the He
certainly did.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
I'm a big I'm gonna be a Courtney Jackson guy forever.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
He's fearless. I love that.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
You know.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
He did everything. He ran the ball, he caught the ball.
He did returns.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
By the way, watching the new kickoffs now that they've
moved it a little bit, I think we're gonna see
more returns this year, or more active I mean, I
think you're going to see more of that.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
You're almost not allowed not to watch out.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
I know, but it's it's fun again.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Yes, it's fun again, Like well it's not. It's not
pee break time during kickoffs anymore. Like you're going to
watch action, like actual action.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
Guy.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
I mean when they first did it end the position
is almost too good at times. When the day brought
it back to midfield, you only had to if you
go back and look at that, you only had to
get by one guy. Essentially you'd be one guy and
you get to the sideline and you're gaining thirty yards.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
So again there's just looking up some different things. Optimism
that Jalil and Biday are both going to make the team.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
I think.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
I think they're absolutely super surprising.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Yeah, I think they will. Will they not? Yeah, until
Adam brought that up, I didn't even consider the object
us to may returning on the practice squad factor because
I thought, you know, once cut, he'll probably land elsewhere.
But it's certainly a possibility. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
I don't know if Audric's just some guaranteed now he's
gonna get picked up by another team. I think he could.
But again, I mean the body talk about we talked
about Audric estimate like he was a first round pick
that fizzled out. I mean, he's a fifth rounder.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
The reason he's a fifth round is because his forty
time was not good. Okay.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
And and the reason why he is of interest is
because of where he played his college football. Let's be honest, right, Okay,
So you combine those things. If he had played his
college football at Akron, do we think we'd have this conversation?
Probably not.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
But if he was, where was it that Jali will
win again?
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Jelium McLoughlin.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Yeah, he went to Uh wasn't like I don't even remember.
Wasn't it something like Notre Dame College of somewhere else
or something like that.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
It was weird called no, No, it was literally something
that was talking about mcglothin.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
He was he was Youngstown State.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
He went to Youngstown I know. But he went the
Notre Dame College, thank you.
Speaker 5 (26:04):
It's a D two school, yes, and they play they
play in the Mountain East Conference.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
I didn't even know that.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Vic consulting me again when I'm writing, how about you
stop and trust your teammate.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
I didn't even know there existed in Notre Dame College.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yes, I knew it was something like that.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
Okay, don't anybody, don't anybody look, don't anybody look, don't
anybody look. What is the mascot of Youngstown State?
Speaker 2 (26:28):
It's a penguin or something penguin.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, you got that's a great mascot.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
That's a great What about Notre Dame College? Do you
know what their mascot is?
Speaker 3 (26:37):
The Fighting Guyrish Friar.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
They are the Falcons. Yeah, and they play in South Euclid, Ohio.
Seems like kind of a you know, that's a weak masscot.
That's just that's just that's just going to.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Default setting of mascots like cougar something mascots, wildcats. Oh,
actually the school shut down? Three? Oh it did the
whole school shut down?
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Yes, they're no longer a thing. It doesn't even exist, No,
not anymore.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
So what it's like the student union of seven eleven?
Speaker 3 (27:11):
Now me, what's going on? Man?
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Hang on to a free online AI mascot generator? Can
we do that?
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Aloud?
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Sure?
Speaker 3 (27:21):
If I were in charge of mascots for a school,
i'd get very Do you ever hang out in the
student eugion back in the day, Yeah, all the time.
That's where our radio station was to find the voice
of the fighting Irish was right there above.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
The student union, hung out in the student union for
a while, right out there, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Neat having some coffee. Do you want me to do
about that? Get some work done? Great information? What do
you got there, Brett?
Speaker 2 (27:42):
It's generating.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Jesus God. That's one thing that I think is gone now,
hanging out in like student unions, because now everything is
so laptop based. Yeah, you're like, hey, what are people
hanging out now in college?
Speaker 1 (27:54):
I don't know colleges.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
What do you hang out? You know?
Speaker 1 (27:57):
By our student union, we had a burger King and
I used to go in there and get a whopper
meal and do my work and watch Monday night football
in the burger king next to the student union.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
Would you be surprised? Follow me on this one. Would
you be it all surprised? If the Broncos nabbed a
punter off the waiver.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Wire, I would not see. I brought that up the
other day, Vic, and I'm thinking to myself, maybe just
somebody to give the guy a little compo before the
season begins.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Why not? Like, what do you have to lose?
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Right?
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Just you want to make sure this guy's got every order,
and if she doesn't, he's your long term plan. You
drafted him. I doubt you want to cut him. You
don't want to cut him. If you do, that'll be
a big news. But you want to cultivate that talent.
At the same time, you don't want to risk losing games.
So maybe you bring in a guy that's got a
little more.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Just kick agree, Just kick the ball man with six
round picking a punter, kick the ball, kick it.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
I have our names, by the way, all right, let's
do it. I came up with three. Well I didn't
come up with it, but they said, what's the details?
They said, A pick a ball team in Denver? I
need a name, the mile High smash Masters, the Rocky
Mountain paddle Prowlers, paddle Prowlers, or the Denver Dink dashers shirt.
(29:29):
What's a I don't Know's I like it?
Speaker 3 (29:32):
That describes paddle? Or what the hell that pickaball in
a nutshell? Dink and dash?
Speaker 5 (29:37):
Can we save smash masters?
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Though?
Speaker 2 (29:40):
Good?
Speaker 3 (29:40):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Hang on, Let's let's try another one. What's another sport?
I can do?
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Badminton? No, that's too similar, underwater basket We even sport
polo water polo. Oh God water, Arvada water Polo in Arvada?
What is the drum up for Arvada water Polo water polo.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Team in Arvada?
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Did you guys see that that guy that has a
Guinness Book of World Records for jumping out of a pool?
Speaker 2 (30:07):
The Clear Clear Creek hydro Hawks like it? Got Ai
is so much better at this than we.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
We suck hydro Hawks.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
The Aqua Strikes, dumb rocky ridge wave breakers, Yeah, mile
high title.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Surge, Yeah, you oceans around here?
Speaker 2 (30:30):
All right, let's try another one one more? What is
Walmar These bowling team, Bowling team Aurora and Aurora my
town bowling team and Aurora?
Speaker 3 (30:41):
Hang on? All right? Did you realize that C. J.
Anderson thought he was being offered a contract for a
bowling team live on the air.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
He's a really good bowler, though. Were the Aurora pin Crushers?
Speaker 3 (30:58):
That's just generic?
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Yeah, cosmic rollers, nebulous strikers. I don't like that.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Yeah, so dumb, bad bad job Ai.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
The initial one was good, though, Which one do we like?
The deep Dashers, the Denver Date smash Masters, Oh, the
Mile High smash Masters. That's and paddle prowlers like those
are good names for paddleball or pickleball teams. Really good. AnyWho?
Uh again, what did we say? Fourteen thirteen more cuts
left for the bron best something.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Like that, something like that. It depends on.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Cliffs reports that the Broncs of woaived wide receiver at Perry.
So one of those reviated names is out, but he'll
be a practice squatter.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Okay, so you're down to five wideouts who are on
the team period. Trent Surefield is definitely there.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Surefelt. I mean he looked like a lock first day
of k really did. Yeah. So he's not a he's
running one of the ones and two. Yeah, not a
surprise at all.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
If I had a future odd for you guys, because
Schefter just tweeted out a story from ESPN Chiefs Travis
Kelcey is settling up for his potential last ride. If
you had to put money down, is this Travis Kelsey's
last year in the NFL?
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (32:03):
I think so too, I would say, yes. He doesn't
look the same.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
You know, he doesn't move.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Do you remember when Jason Wenten took a year off
to do the broadcasting thing and then went back to
the Cowboys, and you're like, bro, it looks like it
hurts to move.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
I think his motivations have also changed. I mean, I
think he's got more after football that he wants to
be an actor. Yeah, I mean he was happy Gillmore too.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Like we're talking about talk of the Godfather here. Jack, Yeah,
I want to be a model. But I mean he
and his brother could do that podcast forever. You think
he has some people that will help him get into
that field.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Well, you think you gotta, Well, what kind of actor
do you want to be?
Speaker 3 (32:44):
Like?
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Plus plus, Look, let's Elephant in the Rule starring Denzel
Washington and Travis Kelsey.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
I don't think that's gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
I don't know. I just saw a preview the Rock.
The Rock went from football to acting. Yeah, not quite
the same, Jack.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
I also think the Rock's not very good at acting yet.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Well he's made it of money he had, Yes, he has,
So you're pretty good based on how much money you
made acting?
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Correct? No, No, that I don't base it off money.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Brett Vic elephant in the room looking at it. If
he put if he puts a ring on it, he'll
never have to worry about that ever again.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Yes, ain't nobody cash and a cash game, just saying
imagine making the money that Travis Kelsey makes and being like,
I'm gonna take half your stuff when we split up.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
So that's total prenup going on there. Do you can
play prenup?
Speaker 2 (33:39):
You think that Swift would do a prenup with Travis
A hundred percent? You ain't taking my music catalog a
hundred percent? Yeah, yeah, guaranteed.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
You look at what she did to get her music
rights back.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Well, you weren't allowed in the suite anymore. Pooh great,
Uh all right, we'll keep you updated on any thing
that happens from the last twenty minutes. A fact check
her next Sorry I came back.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Why did I think this was a commercial?
Speaker 2 (34:09):
I don't know. I don't know why you Vic is
in the Yeah, everybody's over here on his phone. You
were just standing there as INTROI music is playing, staring
at your phone.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
I'm like, is anybody gonna try? And I was looking
at this little bomb from an airplane. It's a long story.
It's a from Yeah, you can stay okay, good, Uh, hey,
a couple of things.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
I'll tell you something. I just want to I went
on a hell of a run. Though, hell of a run?
Is VIC aware that we're still?
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Yeah? Probably not even don't care.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
I just went on hell of a run. I was
going to to take sport and I passed by Raj,
and Raj goes. Come here, I said, what he goes?
Can you name the eight players since twenty ten to
hit fifty home runs in a season? I got seven
of eight ice, seven of eight. That is a That
is an impressive run that I am proud and ten
(35:00):
twenty ten.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
Judge obviously, yeah, okay, this is the big dumper cal
cal Rawley. Yes, he just did it.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
He just did it.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Well, she help me out here, Aaron Judges teammate Stanton Stanton, okay,
put about Hold on a second, you're looking up things again.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
No, no, I'm not saying, oh Padre shber Otani Otani, yes,
Padres player, there's no Padres so no, yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Juan, No, that was a guess.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
I'm gonna be get petere a Longso is that a guess?
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Ok, yeah, I'm discussing guys who hit it far.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
If three left, but these are the toughest ones. So
I think this is where I got to oh uh,
twenty ten, twenty thirteen, and twenty three. These the last three.
What about Yelich Nope? What about Braun Nope? Well he
was before that, right, somebody was in twenty ten, twenty ten,
twenty three.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
I was thinking of just thinking of Brewers.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
I don't think you guys are gonna get.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
There is one an Astro No Ken KIMMANNITTI No, it's
a little too long ago.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Mudge. It's like earthly now.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
He was saying, yeah, we're gonna stop this.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Chris Davis from Baltimore slamming around dud. Dude, he fell
off the face of the earth. Jose Bautista in Toronto.
The other was two years ago. Albody forgets this guy
was in home run derbys all the time, but nobody
really pays attention. Matt Olsen did it two years ago?
Speaker 3 (36:44):
What's he doing now?
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Play dude?
Speaker 3 (36:47):
What happened to Chris Davis? Seriously? What happened?
Speaker 2 (36:49):
Well, I kind of know a little bit of what
happened with him. Uh, he used to.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Say physical or mental.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
He used to take eight Well, this is what he
blames it on. ADHD meds that they then ruled was
illegal to take and ever since then just couldn't do it, like.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
What adderall or something or focus meds?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
They adderall was then it was at some point named
a stimulant.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
Have you tried that focused gum?
Speaker 4 (37:15):
No?
Speaker 3 (37:16):
A bunch of caffeine.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
I've seen that. Does it work?
Speaker 3 (37:20):
It's just a bunch of caffeine. I have some?
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Hey man, you got some focus cone man? Please? Man?
So again, the update from the Broncos roster cuts so
far is really that nothing is super surprising. This is
what we expected though, right didn't we mention this going
into it, that it didn't feel like there was gonna be.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
A cut where you're like, oh, it really.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
Didn't feel that way, and it hasn't happened yet.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
Now the only one that will surprise is Ellinger. Does
he stay or go? Does he go practice squad? Do
they take the risk? Do they believe that there's a
team out there that is interested, because otherwise you don't
take that gamble? Now they kept last year, so keeping
three last year leads me to believe they'll keep three again.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
I think I'd be more surprised if he made the
roster than he didn't, though I don't think that they
want to carry he.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
Definitely, but he definitely been praised from Sean Payton, I understand,
But if you're sweating how he think there's a market
for Sam Ellinger out there, that's I don't either, not
not Tradewise's. You know, when the when the Raiders said
they were looking for a veteran quarterback, Ellnger came to mind, Well,
they traded for one, they got Picket, so scratch them
off the list.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
I just if they're going to have a couple of
tough cuts and they want to make sure that they
have as many good players as they can, a third
quarterback feels a little bit like a waste to me.
How many times had did him take a snap last year?
Speaker 3 (38:53):
Zero? He took snaps? No, he did not.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
One.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
He did not throw the football.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
I are maybe at the what was it the second
half of the Chiefs game the last week they were
up like a billion to nothing.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
He did not throw the football last year?
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Hang on, hang on, I'm.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Pretty dang sure he did not throw the football even
one time last season.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
I remember a season when the when the Broncos kept
two quarterbacks. They kept Jake Plumber and Bradley Van pelt
YEP and Plumber took every snap.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Yeah, he didn't. He did not attempt to pass last season.
It says he appeared in three games, but a couple
handoffs Neil downs handoffs.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
Yeah. Uh.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
The point is you won't see unless disaster happens, the
third quarterback on your roster take a snap. You could
see a six or seventh defensive lineman get some run.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
But doesn't disaster happen to at least one team every year?
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Hey, if you're down to QB three, you're screwed, man,
your season's done. What's the point.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Brown's brought in Flacco last year?
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Right?
Speaker 1 (40:02):
I think Brown I understand that. I'm just saying that's
the difference.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
They're terrible.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
What do you recall how many years ago? Was it?
Three years ago?
Speaker 1 (40:09):
The Rams brought in Baker Mayfield off the scrap eep
and he played on two days in the playbook and
that played great. They won.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yes, So so the Broncos are going to carry five receivers.
But I think that number is a bit skewed because
I think Evan Ingram is basically a receiver. Yeah, you know,
And and that leads you to wonder, now, how many
of those other tight ends are they keeping? Like is
Lucas Kroll gonna make the team here, he was your
(40:42):
leading Adam Troutman is right theoretically, yeah, Nate Atkins is hurt.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
I mean Crowle was your leading receiving tight end last season.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
I mean much. Yeah, not much to talk about. I'm
just saying, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
That's that's where I think that they get down to,
like this sort of nitty gritty who's going to be left?
Like remember you have you have your seventh round pick,
Caleb Loner, who's on the team right now too, who
is very raw? Is he worthy of a roster spot?
Do you try and sneak him onto the practice squad?
Speaker 3 (41:18):
Like? What do you do with that?
Speaker 2 (41:20):
You know, how many offensive linemen do you want to keep?
How many interior defensive linemen do you want to keep?
Do you want to keep both Jordan Jackson and the
Waza Rique? Like these are the last sort of decisions,
these last couple hours.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
Why does Why would Caleb Loner intrigue.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
You because he's six foot Because he's six seven, He's
going to say, because he's huge.
Speaker 3 (41:36):
Kileb Loaner is the perfect practice squad project, Yeah, perfect
learn the game. He hasn't that much experience in the game.
Still a lot to learn. He's not going to get
claimed anywhere. I mean, you bring it back on the
paying squad.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
Yeah, I wouldn't think.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
No, he's fine. I would not want to be a
running back in this league. We've talked about this. This
Saints just cut Clyde Edwards Hilarire whatever what happened to him?
Clyde Edwards Hilarire Like these running backs who pop right,
they pop and then they.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
I don't think he popped though. I think he was
just a first round pick, okay, but he got some action.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
Well, yeah, he did get action.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
I mean when you look at well listen on on
Kansas City, with the passing game being so prolific, you
can pop or you can get action. But because because
you've got all these other studs around.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
You, he never felt like a feared player.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
No, he didn't because they took him.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Wasn't he the last pick of the first round the
Chiefs they won one of their.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
Super Bowl Yeah, something like that. Yeah, he was less picked.
Speaker 2 (42:48):
Than Yeah twenty twenty he was the thirty second pick
by the Chiefs and it was just I don't know,
it's he's rushed for less than two thousand yards in
five years. You know what I mean, like just never
really worked. That's why it's risky to take running backs.
But God, when you find one, it helps. Hopefully that
(43:09):
guy is gonna be r J. Harvey this year.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Coming up in about fifteen minutes, Dion coach Prime is
gonna talk to reporters up in Boulder and we might
get some clarity on their quarterback situation. Would not be
surprised one bit if his answer is they're both going
to play, or they're all going to play and we'll
see when and how they play. I don't do you
(43:32):
you expect him to nail down a starter today. I
doubt why would he give that information.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
I doubt it, And I think that we probably will
see both Lewis what we'll see both of them to
transfer in Lewis, I will see both of them.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
Who takes the first snap Friday night, Boulder, It's gonna
be wild, it's gonna be fun. College football, Georgia Tech, tough,
tough opponent, have to think about it.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
I think Salter takes the first I think Cayden Salter
probably takes the first snap because listen, he you know
how many years he's been he was at Liberty.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
Four years.
Speaker 1 (44:10):
Four years at Liberty, and it wasn't this last year,
but the year before he had an unbelievable season under
Hugh Freeze.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
Unbelievable season. It reminds me Tommy Boy was just on yesterday.
I haven't watched that movie in a long time, but
there's the meme. Plenty of people go to college for
seven years, right, and David Spego's yeah, they're called doctors.
Somebody changed that and said, yeah, they're called covid era
starting quarterbacks in college.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
Which Carson Beck he's in like he's been there a
long time.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Yeah, Carson Beck's been around.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
Well, Carson, he's twenty three and he's also smart, though,
go make that Go make that college money when you're
unsure if you're gonna make pro money, why wouldn't you.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
I said it earlier. I'm just I'm not. I've never
been super impressed by him. He's he's okay, he's just okay.
I don't think he's going to like light up your
your your fighting irish this week.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
But you know, the same questions that people might have
for the Buffs, I think those questions can be had
for any college team because of the college era you're living.
You just there's so much uncertainty about who's who. You
have no idea.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
Uh again, We'll keep you up to date all day
today on Altitude Sports Radio with coaching Raj. Next, but
a fact checker please now.
Speaker 1 (45:28):

Speaker 5 (45:43):
I've just spent the past half an hour going down
a rabbit hole about Notre Dame College, not vix alma mater,
Notre Dame College, the D two school where Julia McLoughlin
briefly played football. So they were actually it was founded
in nineteen twenty two as an all girls school and
then it was flipped to being co ed in January
two thousand and one. But then in twenty twenty three,
(46:07):
the sisters of Notre Dame decided to pull their sponsorship
and end in the affiliation with the college, and then
they folded a year later because of financial issues. So
he the school where he started off his football career
doesn't even exist.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
So you're telling me a bunch of nuns said we're out.
Speaker 5 (46:22):
They said, kick rocks.
Speaker 3 (46:24):
We got to college football. We got enough schools.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
I'm more interested in hearing how dismissively Vic showed me
away when I thought that he went to a Notre
Dame something college. Oh yeah, that's what you did to me.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
The Broncos have waived Lavelle Bailey by linebacker too.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
I like to man practice squad. Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah, Man.
Speaker 2 (46:48):
Surprised by that one.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
He played pretty I thought he played pretty well in
that last preseason game. Hey, you know what, So it
shows you man, the preseason doesn't mean jack Man on
the other mind, made up Mosher.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
You mentioned this guy's name earlier, the Steelers releasing Robert
Woods receiver. You're kidding. Yeah, we know he's no spring chicken. Wow.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
Well, they'll keep you up to date as we go
along today. Nelly. By the way, we we forgot to
announce the name of them. Oh we got a name.
