Man? How you doing? Man? Thanks for having me today. Man.
I'm excited. Man, I'm very excited. Boy. Did we have
a good week weekend this week? Man? It was amazing weekend. Man,
I didn't. I really enjoyed my time out in Vegas
(02:23):
and I'm ready to get back. Man that some of great,
great people. Uh got a lot of great things landed too. Man. Yeah,
did you.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
How many booth did you touch? All booths this this
at this event?
Speaker 2 (02:42):
I didn't. I actually uh circled around here, called as
many of them as I could. Uh. A lot of
guys had a lot of great things going on, man. Uh.
But most of the time I was over uh helping
out my company, shout out to send tent symbols and
uh wfl three drums. I was just really, you know,
(03:03):
walking around and helping those guys. It's pretty good. Yeah, yeah, awesome.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Tell them about tell the world about shared what you've
got going on, because before we get in to our session.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Okay, Well, man, I am a drummer for the majority
of my life. For about forty some odd years, I've
been playing drums my whole life, and I've actually stepped
out to be a mainstream artist instead of being behind
the scenes. So it's a little bit more challenging, man,
(03:40):
just trying to get the fan base going. But for
the most part, a lot of people never knew that I,
you know, seing. So now, Dad, I'm really like doing
that in the front. I'm excited about that. So I've
been like just putting record basically, just you know, getting
my records together versus to working on everybody else's.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Awesome. Man, that's a blessing, man. You know, it's encouraging
to just hear another drummer to say that he sings,
you know, yeah, that's my fourteenth too. But I didn't
pick it up until I was doing like a conference
(04:22):
in the church that I'm in right now. But they
didn't know I could sing. But you know, yeah, I
have to sing, but I don't, you know, I don't
think it up like I pick up some drumsticks.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Right. Yeah, I've been. I've been actually, you know, I
knew that I could sing for a while, but I
just kind of never had the opportunity to be recognized
up front because you know, everybody knows me from drums.
So when I you know, when they got discovered that
I could sing. Uh. They were basically just trying to
(04:58):
keep me in the bag more of me in the front,
you know. So I figured out a way to put
my drugs at the front and my microphone, you know, so.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
You check it out. But you got the microphone next
to your drums.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
I do I actually have I have a microphone, like
I said, a microphone, my kid.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yes, sir, awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome. That's about out to.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Telephone the microphones, you know, telephone and case me right,
thank you awesome. Yeah. Shouts out to five cores, h.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
And soltne symbols, more drumsticks, you name it. I'm just
thankful for all of the people that I touched with
that my blessings and stuff like that. But we're gonna
get on to this, uh where these people have been
(05:59):
waiting for war. They have been waiting for this music
reaction in the top and my brother, yeah, man, let's
get into it, RISD.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
I'm ready, man, ready, all right.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
So you got the first five, but I think you
got six uh low seven with that, So let's.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Go go with the okay man, my very first one. Uh,
I'm I love my hometown, I love my city, you know. So, Uh,
it's just it's just, uh, she had an opportunity to
kind of just go across the world and change the
world in our music and inspire other people as well. Uh.
(06:45):
I've seen a lot of a lot of people come
up and just men herr sound or style and form
creation from it. And that's none other than miss Erica
Badu herself. You know. Wow. Uh she's uh, she's going
right here in Dallas, right from my city, Dallas, Texas.
(07:08):
And you know, she got her, she got her pretty
much got her jump in New York h with hanging
around with you know, Lauryn Hill, them and the Roots
and all those guys. You know. So uh yeah, erkabaduas
is my very first uh lady on the list today. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
She got some nice rhythms, don't you man?
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Uh she man, she has a she has a very
eclected found that with not you know, I believe that
she definitely generated that energy of sound to have other
bands to start even mimicking that and other female singers
(07:56):
as well. Like I've been, I've been all across the world,
even over the glove on the other side, and you
find people that men that cursed down and prod of saying,
you know, and do what she do? Yeah right, right, yeah, yeah,
what what do you think?
Speaker 3 (08:15):
I think she's pretty tight, you know. And every time
I see hers on like BT, come on BT or
anything that she's doing on you know, the challenge.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
You know, I love.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
A lot of day.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
That's so you know, it's like it's catchy. You know.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
You know, we're gonna talk about her rhythms. That's her
rhythms is what what.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Catches me, you know, because it makes you, you know,
want to want to want.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
To listen to so some more, you know, you know,
like like.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
You know, basically.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
It's very eye kitchen and it caitchen.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
And as and as a drummer, uh you know we
we we coming up in church for me. Uh yeah,
I'm I'm an eighties baby.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
I was born in the eighties, the year eighty and
uh watching a lot of the drummers coming up when
I was a kid. It was just it wasn't really
about like showboating or nothing like that. It was more
so about being able to play with people. Uh. So
(09:40):
they tossed the pocket a whole lot. It was always around,
you know, stay in the pocket. I remember the musician
turning around and even putting his hand in his pocket
on his shirt like telling the drummer like play pocket,
you know, but but listening to her music and how
how the band uh it makes the drummer feel. I've
(10:04):
practiced with that music, you know, and it made me
feel good about just developing different grooves on how to
play pocket, you know, and been good about pocket.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
It's really actually it's best. It's best to play pocket,
you know. Like some of the artists that I know
of out here is they tell you to know them
charts and basically to to know uh the skills what
you you know them songs? You know, if you know
(10:38):
them songs, you know them what you claim basically it's
it'll get you everywhere.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
You know. Yeah, that's right, and that used to be
honest with you man. I mean that the pocket is
my thing and it's my go to. I'll start a
groove before I before I sit down to try to
real you know. That's my first thing is the pocket,
because I grew up there. But it's just about making
(11:07):
this feel good. You know, a lot of people think
just because he's playing a straight beat that that's the pocket,
and it's not pocket. It's just a straight beat, you know. Yeah,
so right, so the Erica Badu thing, Man, it's just uh,
if you just listen to a lot of the songs, man,
shout out, shout out to, you know, Poogie, shout out
to uh Loc Johnson, Geno Lock Johnson. Now, uh, these
(11:33):
are the guys that that that played those records. So
shout out to Sian Edwards. You know these guys they
played the record and they understood, you know, what was
supposed to happen, and they kind of incorporated themselves without
going overboard and it you know it, I don't kind
of make it. An'll make the band jail and come together.
(11:53):
Everybody had and the voice. You're right, you're right. It's
number now.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Yeah, man, sit again, what's number nine?
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Man? Number nine? I gotta stay. It's not in my state,
but it's down the street, I think. Man, you both
can agree when I say this name. Man, But the
one and only Miss Kimbarell herself. Oh yeah, oh yeah,
oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Definitely definitely, most definitely, definitely, most definitely.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
She's she's one of my favorite that.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
I can say that, I can say that she could
sing anything and just tear it up.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yes, lord man, let me ask your question. Have you
heard her? Have you heard her on the George Clinton record?
Her and George Clinton got all together. It's called uh matthmatics. Yes, yeah,
get opportunity and listen to that. Man, Like she is
(13:08):
really different. Well, Kim is Kim, of course, you know,
but she's really different on that the here, in that
in that lane. You know, I always I got much
respect for her. I followed Kim from the jazz. She's
always been gospel, you know, but I followed her from
the jazz. Follow you up, and uh, Kim is just amazing. Man.
(13:31):
She's another game changer. See. You know a lot of people,
uh start mimicking her right away, you know, because when
she came to the game, she changed it. She was
not doing what every other singer was doing. Well, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Can't nobody remember her. It's kind of it's kind of
hard to mimic. Uh, that's commit Kim Burrell. The reason why,
I don't.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Know, maybe maybe be out there, but not out here.
It's like here when they follow in the other with
people here, man, they're gonna they're gonna stack into the
team they want. They want the artists themselves to be
happy about what they're hearing. Okay.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
So yeah, the thing is they take it pretty serious,
you know, like you taking real service. Yeah, they taking
real serious.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Man. They try to they do that and go overboard
something they try okay taking awesome? Awesome?
Speaker 3 (14:37):
What's the question, rob, what what's what's what's some of
your favorite Kimbarell uh songs?
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Or what what? What song does it for you? Like?
What what? What? What gets you there?
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Pastor Kimbarell? He'll say her song her love album though
whole Love album. Oh yeah, if he listened to that
left album is the album with the her with the
cleek background, you know, That's what I'm talking about. And yeah, yeah, yes.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
We got the Whole Love album.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Uh, that's the That's the one I uh follow and
I love because she she she went out the box
on that one.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
Yeah, man, shout out. Shout out to Chris and Chris
Black on that man. Yeah, both of those guys worked
on Workday records at the time. They were both were
with your condition. So yeah, man, shut up those sides
that we were.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Only supposed to be talking about women this week, because
right man, I think we talked about this Roger and
when we were in each other's face that, uh, these women,
these women inspired a lot of what's going on today.
So you know, I believe, like I said, man, I
(16:19):
definitely believe that they they uh brought a lot of
creativity to us for us to eat baby to sperm
in and be who we are as musicians because of
you know, the think the thingers and what they bring
to the table.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
Oh yes, Kim Morella is a musician herself as well,
So yeah, she could kill that organ up. Huh man, Man,
she is bad.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
He's bad. I heard her and Kathay Taylor uh in
Houston when I was a teenager man and it changed
my life.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely definitely I'm thinking about I'm
thinking but I'm going to that uh, that session that
they got going on, all of the whole their world,
the world that the world towards. They hear and the
young man is doing.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
What was that? Uh, it's it's if you look let
me look it up. Let me look it up right.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Now as we speak. Take whatever's gonna world for I'm
going to tours.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you what. I'm gonna look
it up. And I'm gonna tell you where it's a
matter the matter of fact they're going to they're going to.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Excuse that. I'm sorry, I say, I shares it a lot,
so like that. That's that's how much I follow her.
They just not Houston Aaron, Travis Morley.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Okay, nice nice Maley.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
Uh. They um trying to get the whole list up.
Then they went to Atlanta three nineteen twenty five. They
went to Houston three twenty six twenty five, They went
to Maryland, UH four eight twenty five. They went to
(18:33):
Brooklyn for sixteen twenty five. They went to Dallas for
twenty six twenty five, and they're heading to uh Chicago.
They'll be heading to Chicago five seven twenty five.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
The state in Chicago.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Then they had to Detroit five thirteen twenty five, and
then they got Pitchbird five fourteen twenty five. They got
Los Angeles five twenty twenty five, and New Orleans five.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Twenty twenty five. Now, now can you imagine this.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Just like music concert with Kim Burrell and Travis Morley.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Man, I know it's mind blowing. I've never heard Travis Marley,
you know, forgive me, I have not.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
No it's not there's nothing nothing, there's nothing wrong with it. Bro,
just just to just to see them together. You gotta
you gotta see this, this movement, it's gonna be Oh
my goodness, just look at it.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
Just look it up.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Just like music, and it's like all up, just like music, music,
choir vibes.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Okay, and that's uh w w W Travismiley dot com.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Okay, Yeah, so just like music. Yeah, it's gonna be
a mind blowing, uh situation. I might have that Chicago scene.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Yeah, my father, are you saying five thirteen for Chicago?
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yeah, uh, that might be the one.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
I'm to take flight. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what
I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
That's what I'm That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Uh, you know, because I'm you never know, I might
be in at that that area and at see so
I'm looking forward to that never you never know.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
Yeah. So number uh is it number seven? That was
the number nine? Yeah? What's number number eight? I mean yeah,
number eight? Man, number eight for me, man, thank you,
first of all, thank you for for im to share
(21:26):
share this time man, uh and give my insight who
I think are some of the most greatest women in
the world long comes to our music and arts and
there gives some talents. Uh man, my next one, man,
hands down. I gotta say, miss Angie Stones bro okay, okay,
(21:52):
My reason for being is h Angie Stone came from
so Me I do our Germans of music and and
the phone. Her dad was a blues singer. Yoah wow,
blues singer. And he was told and so and Angie
(22:14):
caught onto the blues and quartet her dad got said
and started saying to quartet music. Oh uh, she caught
onto that man and went to know that her roofs
were blues and quartet. That made me pay attention to
her a little bit more. And so for me, you know,
(22:34):
my dad is a bass player and he grew up.
I grew up watching him playing in quartet, you know
a lot. And on the other end of it, my family,
my other family members was like, you know, into the blues,
you know. So that was sticking to my and my
sister outside of church of course or whatnot. But uh,
(22:57):
when I first heard her, you know approach, uh approached
blues song okay, and just hearing us saying background from
the courts, that that that changed my life. And so
like I started. I started like following her lifestyle and
(23:19):
a story whnot and uh then she started when she
came out with empowering songs about you know, the movement
of loving black men and respecting black men and putting
that out there, that just made me fall in love
with her more as a person, not even not even
so much. You know, I think that pours into you know,
(23:42):
I can't speak for everybody but poison to black musicians, uh,
such as myself. And I'm not biased to anybody, you know,
I love all race O kind or when not, But
this mean I think that that made me appreciate the
art of just one that I bring something to the table,
(24:02):
you know, outside of being a musician, like I was,
appreciate it, you know, so I would play with that
bride just knowing that, you know when I when I
walk in the building, I am somebody. Yeah you know,
so I think I think I think andrews Thoma for
that me myself. That's awesome. That's man, that's awesome. I'm
(24:27):
loving it and loving it. So Who's man? Never met him?
Person man that I wish I would have, you know, Yeah,
you got it? Yeah, so you say, who my next
one is h I know my list is wild, it's crazy, man.
But the render clerk, the render Clark is oh my,
(24:56):
you messed up when you said that, when we've once
said that.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Because I love me some clock sisters, yeah, yeah, I travel,
you know, I travel. I travel anywhere to go to
hear me some clock sisters, like I said, like I
told I would travel anywhere to give me some clock sisters.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Any anyways, I love I love the clock sisters, man. Uh.
I like I like to witness. I like to watch
the videos when Twinkie was playing the organ. Yeah, like
I've watched a lot of the tours and stuff I've seen.
But point, you got a differently noise mana she does.
(25:41):
She does, Yeah that she does. We got a different
annoying man when she touched that when she touched the
teas you can hang it up, you know up, you know.
But I love I love them all as a group.
But the thing about the Renda with me is, uh,
(26:01):
de Renda is solid all the way across the board.
All of them got that thing. But de Renda for
preaching is silent. Uh. Her singing is silent. Her raspiness,
the rastiness that she has outside of her other sisters.
It's very distinctive. And I've been like I've been on
(26:22):
that since they were little, like since they were young.
I've been Are you sure about that? Are you sure
about that? Are you sure about that?
Speaker 3 (26:30):
You?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Are you sure? Listen to listen to the Listen to
listen to uh uh, Jesus brought the sunshine. Listen to
her her part on that as and when they first Lady,
and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. I got you,
I got you. Reason why I was saying that because
I love me some Karen Clock. Uh, Lady Man, I
(26:57):
love shout out. Shout out to Karen Man. Shout out
to Aaron Claus Share, you know, shout out to all
of the clerks.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
You know.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
I love everything that they do. Uh. Man. I don't
take away from Karen Man, you know, not at all.
Karen is awesome, bro, he is. I love her. I
love him even Jackie. You know, they came to Dallas.
It was a beautiful thank for me. Uh, I had
an opportunity to we were actually doing like I want to.
(27:28):
I can't remember exactly what the event was for. I
want to say it was like the Dallas chapter of
the Gospel Music Workshop of America America. Yeah yeah, yeah,
And so they came up to Dallas, man and uh
me and four other drummers. It was actually meet me
(27:49):
and Cleon and and a guy named Dennis Ford, uh
Marcus a guy named Marcus Jones.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
And I'm trying to think and as well, that's what
it was, Uh, Anthony Gardner and we oh we we
put we put five drum kits on on stage. Man,
and and we and we we would have first wanted
to put a routine together and do that, you know
before people start trying to put that together and do
(28:22):
it around the world. But with that just to just
to try to show the musicianship in Dallas and about how,
you know, how drummers can work together and I play
on top of each other, you know. So we we
set up a little It was cool. It was really
really dope. Uh. This happened like maybe around two thousand
(28:42):
and twelve something like that.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Amazing, amazing, amazing twelve.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Yeah that's when this was twenty twelve. Wow. Oh yeah,
man and the Clark Susters many they hung out with us, man,
and they treat us like they treat us great, like
the render Drenda and Jackets started shouting, Man, it was
just our drums and we had our grooves going, and
they started shouting to what we were doing. It was yeah,
(29:19):
it was really good. Man.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
You can't that's kind of hard to get stars out
to your your events. And and they that's that's love
when they came out.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Man. Man, Well, here's the thing is that it wasn't
my event. It was the god for Music Workshop of America.
And my god Dennis for he was drummer. He was
a drummer for for one of the guys that that
was hosting here in Dallas. And so he asked if
we were put on an ad you know, and and
(29:54):
then was like, wood we you know, so just I
just I appreciate, you know, shout out to speaking the
kay man for for that opportunity just putting us so,
you know, putting this song and putting us in front
of them, you know, because they love good, real good people, bro,
real good people. Man. You got next, man, my next one.
(30:19):
It's miss Socka come brother, Okay, all right, Docka come.
And the reason why I say is Chaka Khan changed
the world. He changed the world with with from and
and and and not just Shacker Man, but all of
(30:40):
these women that I'm speaking of has done their part
with you know, projecting and creating fingers, you know, and
in in best not just in anything, but in the
world in church. Uh you know period man, So Chaka
Khan Man, I remember, everybody tries to sing, tell me
something good. Remember, you know, like everybody tries to make
(31:06):
that voice, make that big have that big voice. And uh,
her voice is commanded when you hear her while she
opened her mouth and she she she commands and demand everything. Yeah,
she's singing with her teeth smiling and she's still you know,
demanding the room.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
So like you, so I learned.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
I learned a lot just watching watching her, man watching
her perform. I watched a lot of her Even today,
I still watch a lot of her YouTube on how
she how she operates on tour, you know, as far
as how the band, what the band does on tour,
and the energy and how it comes every night. Chaka
(31:51):
Kun does not perform the sing every every night. She
does not. It's not it's not it's not rehearsed for her,
even though as a format to the show, what she's
doing is not rehearsed. You understand what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Yeah, and to think good thing about us Shaka Khan.
She's a drummer too, Yeah, yeah, you sure right. I
was surprised when I seen her get on the kit.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
I was like, no, for real, no, I I saw you.
Pool could have for that. I wish I could have
witnessed that in person. That would have been nice, That
would have been amazing. That had been Oh my goodness.
I would have been like, for real, wow, yeah, man,
(32:46):
So I know I know that I'm I'm around here
like I'm at I'm at like five five women right now,
and I know you got somebody, don't are you? You
sure you ready? I want to hear you?
Speaker 3 (33:02):
Man, All right, let's go, let's go. Have you ever
heard Tiffany Andrews.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Tiffany Andrews, No, I have not. Oh my goodness, that
young lady. She's like amazing everyone I have seen. I
have seen her literally live.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
I just didn't know her until she came to the
wealthy place and did it, did something live.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
But she was doing something out here with the Reagan
family and I was like, oh man, I've been It's
out of this world.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
But basically, she sings this song Amazing with Kenny Kenny Andrews.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Uh k Love. They call him k Love. If you
look look for him, look him up.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
It's called Amazing Tiffany Andrews and that worship song. It's
like an odd moment because because what she's she basically
brings to the stage. She brings worship to the building.
(34:30):
She she basically what I'm trying to tell you, she
she sets the atmosphere for these people, and she's telling
these people, you know that y'all need to come to
the building, you know, come come in this building, get
in this with me.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
And that uh.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Was is this song all I tell y'all, y'all needs
to listen to the song. It's called Amazing and and
basically I think she she sung this song with Kennyth
Andrew ky Love basically in company. Okay, my number four
(35:12):
is Jill Scott, Jill Scott, Jill Scott A Long Walk. Basically,
I like that song with Jill Scott. Everything Jill Scott
puts to bring to the table is amazing.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Her uh her aroma, it's like, oh my goodness. You know,
she she gets.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
She's might.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Get you into it. You know what I'm saying, you know,
I like that what she she got for the you know,
the world, you know, right right, man? Man, I love
her too, Man, I love Jill Scott. She's one of
my favorites. I've been following her since her early earlier
(36:04):
days as well, from from not just music, man, but
inspiration from television as well. You know, I was glad
that she got into filming, and I've seen you know,
I've seen the change and I've seen the growth, but overall,
Jill is still Jill. So I just you know, I
(36:25):
appreciate that part. As a performer. Uh. She she's one
as well that does not do She always raises the bar.
She don't do a show today and you get the
same energy tomorrow, it's gonna always the bar is gonna be,
you know, ten times higher, sixteen times higher than it
(36:49):
was from the show last night. They go out to
make the show, even though it's the same format. It's
about the energy, you know. So the energy that they
bring to these yohes, man, is just there's so much bigger.
So it makes you want to follow them to the
next city to see what's gonna happen. You know what
I'm saying it's true. Yeah, shout out to Jill's guy,
(37:17):
you know, and and the Creuse, the bear, you know,
everybody that there working at establishment. Shout out to you guys,
because yeah, y'all doing it. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
The next one is gonna be uh Tiffany Joy with
uh Tiffany Joy. Tiffany Joy, she's like, uh, a young
lady that is bringing the bringing it to the table.
And you know, like she carrying her own weight, you know,
(37:50):
even what with what who she even was with? She's
with uh doctor Rickley, Ricky Diller. When she sung that
song basically.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
It's called.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Amazing you know that when so amazing you know, trying
to talk about that. Yeah, yeah, it's Tiffany Joe Tiffanely Joy.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
She's ridiculous. I mean she sung that song.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
I was like, oh my goodness, and the annoying thing
that she have singing It's like, wow, reason why I'm
saying it. It's like I listened to this song.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
I mean this this uh basically it's.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
A network and it's the McDonald's tour. You've seen that, yes, sir,
And that's when I I like seeing that. I basically
watched that song.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Over and over and over and over and over and over.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
Again because of that song. M h nice, Yeah, it's
really nice, really nice. The next one, number two is
Lena Birds Miles. She's coming from the West Coast and Nina.
Speaker 2 (39:27):

her name again?
Speaker 3 (39:31):
Ellie and Ellie n An birds in b y R
D Miles in my l E s. And she's from
I've seen her with the McDonald's West Coast tour.
Speaker 2 (39:50):

Speaker 3 (39:53):
Be Grateful. Her style is out of this world. When
she sung that song.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Right right, she looked, Okay, I'm looking her up, man,
she has the afro. Yeah, I'm looking directly at her.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
And I'm gonna tell tell you guys world. I was
kind of irritated on this situation listening to the Listen
to your Brother. I had to go to rehearsal when
they had to gmw A two weeks ago, right, I
(40:34):
had to go to rehearsal. And after I went to rehearsal,
if I played for the gm w A Silver State
chapter out here, okay, and they was at the Union Plaza.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Both of the people that I was telling.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
You about was at the gmw A that night on Wednesday,
and I was trying to get in, and they was
charging for to take I mean charging just the park.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
You know, normally I'm used to out here, you know,
by being a resident, you know, just to give you know,
just to you know, pay for valet.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Right.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
They basically charging you for just to park your car.
If you don't pay the they'll come and tell your car.
So basically I should have uber and left, and I
would have been able to see who are Lina my
Lina and Lina burned mouths? And I would have been
(41:50):
able to see the young lady that I was telling
you about with with doctor Rickley grigged Dillon. I would
have been able to see both of them, Kiffney Andrews.
I missed them both, regard me, just so you said, yeah,
I missed them both. I missed them both.
Speaker 2 (42:14):
Because you had to move your car because of the
the uh the paying.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
I wasn't gonna pay no fifty dollars or no, no
forty dollars for just no no parking.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
I'm just I'm not used to that.
Speaker 3 (42:30):
I guess I gotta go in here somewhere else U
huh this was in Vegas. Yeah, I guess I gotta
go to Now because they ain't gonna charge you in
Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
Yeah, they charged you that. They charged you to park
at Now too. Huh yes, yes, yes, man, believe it
or not. I've never been in now and you gotta go.
I'm telling you you gotta go. Next year.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
Start started, uh, start making your arrangements right now, because
they started in June to accept in as far as
the rooms and every reservations right now. So try to
get the closest to the Anaheim mentioned Center. So the
(43:24):
only one I think is closest to the Anaheim Convention
Center is the Hilton that's like right across the street.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Uh. Well, here's to say, I'm I'm okay with coming
out there. It was just that like I got a pass,
I got a pass from w f L to came,
and I couldn't come because I was out around where
ANAPO at the time. Oh last year, last year kind
(43:54):
of just snuck up on me. The one that what
the one that just happened here happened January. I believe
it's just knock up on me. I wasn't ready, you know,
because it's just it was so many. I took a
lot of hits. I understand. I just I wasn't ready
for uh, and this just snook up on me. But
we had already a couple of my butts talked about
(44:18):
planned all. Now you know, we was going to make
a rain to the house. I wasn't. But you know,
thank god, you know that we got people that that
you know, grew up with us. Shout out to you know,
Tay run Lockett. Uh, he from He's from my city
(44:39):
and he's one of my one of my friends. You know,
so I know everybody you know probably there somewhere to go.
I definitely plan on going. You know, I really want
to catch it the next go around. I was going
to you know, just like you said, I want to
calendar my calendar where nothing, nothing stops me from being there.
(45:00):

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Also before we close our show, Uh, our last personally
is gonna be Lawana Thomas. She's from She she from
doctor Doctor Ricky Dillons and Companies choir. She's been with
him for quite some time and she sings that song
(45:25):
when Sunday comes, the woman comes, and.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
She's got her own, her own music outside of Ricky. Suh. Yeah, no,
I think she does just on the gospel.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
I didn't know if he was saying thum Thompson, Yeah
Thomas before we go, let's uh, do you have anything
to say to the world positivity?
Speaker 2 (46:41):
Yeah, I got I got a lot to say, uh
to her work. Come on. First of all, man, just
always trust God. Hey, you, uh, don't do nothing without
consulting God. A lot of times we get into ourselves.
(47:02):
We want things to happen and we think they should
happen in our time. You know. It's okay to be motivated.
It's definitely great to be motivated motivated about doing it,
you know, but just always consult God about it. You know,
allow God to lead you to where you need to
be if he followed him. My promiship with the past
will turn our great. So that's my that's my overall thing,
(47:26):
you know, to say to the world. I encourage you
God to put guys keeping first. You know what I'm saying,
and all aways her director, you know what I'm saying.
It's here acknowledging, so ask God to lead you where
you gotta go. That's uh.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
And then and then and it's I'm an well, why
one of my favorites? Uh, Lady Michelle Obama? He says,
dignity that always has gotten us through. It was a
choice and not always the easy one, but the people
I respected the most in life made it again and
