everything was just hitting me, hitting me, and just hitting me,
just hitting me all of a sudden, and it's like,
why what did I do to deserve this situation or

do I do? How do I maintain that this issue,
or how do I maintain that smile face that we're
supposed to keep among our fellow brothers and sisters.

mistakes that people as leaders or ministers of musics or
you know, all the ministries. All the musicians are supposed

and we don't tell you, but God tells you what
to do, way to do it, and how to do it. HM,
be anxious over nothing. I learned that a long time ago.

learn that be anxious over nothing. I lost a lot
of situations, like I said, I lost a lot of
situations as far as of uh places to stay a

seem fit for me too, okay, rabbit and running forget
it again. And I told myself and I told my guy,

I said, God, I will never do this off of
the fresh anymore. And I never, like I'm like, I'm
telling you like I told you before, well, when we
had the session before. Every time that I get on

a set or or or the drums or whatever, I
prayed before I get on that set. Because you're ministered
to a lot of people, and when you're ministering to
a lot of people, those certain spirits or whatever can

flow back on you if you're not ready for it exactly.

And those spirits, you know, are are seven times seventy
seven times stronger than ever.

was one of those musicians that wasn't in the world.
I started playing drum was going to get me into heaven.

what the annoyanty was. I didn't know what the gift was.
All I knew was I just like I just come
to church play drums because that's all I know.

the drums. But like uh, some people and some musics
since I've been following, what if you don't have that

that gift? What if you lose that gift? What you're

had two back surgeries.

All the doctors was supposed to have been doing was
just going in cleaning it and adjusting it and closed
me up. Second thing, I got got to the to

the doctor's office, I couldn't even get intoto the my
father's suv. I wouldn't even step I couldn't even step
up to the top of the suv just to go
to my uh my, my second visit. And then when

doctors had the nerves to sit there and say, Okay,
is he faking it? Is he? Is he really serious?
And if it wasn't for his assistant there was a
godfared person to say, Okay, I'm gonna send you to
this person, I'm gonna send you to this, I'm gonna

send you to this, I wouldn't have been able to
be seen. If it wasn't for that doctor that took
me to rehab and and and did what he had
to do, I would have didn't really get it dead

right now because I had hostin my lifus and I
still have it. I have issues with my my legs,
but thank God I'm able to move my gams because
I did. At first I was not able to.

let's say a prayer for the family of jelly Bean Johnson.
It was an awesome drummer, awesome guitar player. Minneapolis had

Just thanking the Lord for just blessing us to see
his works that he had put on this world on today,

this world and things all of the hearts that he

really don't have no throne to grab for real.

gonna we're gonna definitely deal with that daily as a musician,
you know that, right, right, So basically you gotta just

brush it off the shoulders and move with the flow.
Some days ago I felt like that, you know, like
everything was just hitting me, hitting me, and just hitting me,
just hitting me all of a sudden, and it's like,
why what did I do to deserve this situation or

this issue? What did I do to deserve that? How
do I do? How do I maintain that this issue,
or how do I maintain that smile face that we're
supposed to keep among our fellow brothers and sisters.

Right, you basically have to go with the flow basically,
and every day is not. It's not an easy tide
every day. It's true.

They wasn't lying, past us, wasn't lying. Musicians wasn't lying.
The higher up you go, the higher the demons, the
stronger the demons. You know, you have to deal with
strong like strong attitudes, you know, strong, strong everything, disrespect,

the higher I climb up the ladder, I'm going to
be faced with so many obstacles dealing with just not
just musicians, but people who really don't have no regards

for you. But you have to do everything to protect yourself.
And that's why I'm gonna do it so so so so,
mister Parks, let's asked this, you know, with you, with
you being a musician and songwriter, producer, like, how how

do you deal with, you know, the pressure of climbing
the ladder as an accomplished musician.

If he was in the queue. But he's not in
the queue today. So but the way I will deal
with it, climbing the letter, I will have just like
I was telling you, I would just accept it and
roll with it reason why, because they're gonna be needing
you in the future. They need in the future, They're

gonna need you in the future. Basically, so say say,
for instance, if you're not there or if you do
you're doing what God is telling you to do, If
you're doing and what He is manifesting for you to do, can't.

Basically, Okay, we all, like we were talking about this before,
we was talking about I think it was like four
or five weeks ago, living in the flesh. If you're

Because people are caught up and self Mabel is more
fleshly within itself. You know, it comes with splash. Uh, well,

You know, people are looking at you. They're gonna wonder
how you're gonna accept it, Like, how are you going
to handle this this situation? Yes, is he strong enough

I'm going to talk about daily because of what God.

Has had put in my my possession, like.

Our organization that we we're going be running the podcast,
the different platforms that God has given us. He's he's
looking at us. He's looking at us. If he's looking
at us, he's basically looking at us like you are

that person you can handle this, this situation. I wouldn't
have put you there if you couldn't.

You understand. Yes, Satan is like a royal lion and
he's out there to kill, still and destroy. I'm just
speaking of the word of God. It's taking Satan is
out there like a royal lighton and he is out

And also, you know it says in the Bible you
have to be sober mm hm and and be very
very vigilant. Mm hmm, you know, like right, Like I
ran to this same obstacle on three different occasions, and

I must say I wasn't vigilant and I wasn't sober
because I assumed, you know, everything was okay.

But this time I knew. I knew it wasn't okay.

How did you read of that? How did you see that?

Well? A friend of mine once told me, you got
to read the room before you wake me, before before
you do anything. You you gotta read the room. And
when I walked in, I didn't read the room.

That's And that's when it happened. Because I did not
read the room, but I saw I saw arrogance, I
saw pride, I thought egos saying a little bit of everything. Now, well,

this is coming from musicians.

We see a lot, a lot of stuff, and we
don't even tell you about the situations. We see the
mistakes that people as leaders or ministers of musics or
you know, all the ministries. All the musicians are supposed

to be leaders, you know. So we we see this
and we don't tell you, but God tells you what
to do, way to do it, and how to do it. HM,
be anxious over nothing. I learned that a long time ago.

It took me.

It took me over let's let's say fifty years to
learn that be anxious over nothing. I lost a lot
of situations, like I said, I lost a lot of
situations as far as of uh places to stay a

nice sets, you know, like nice trip sets. But God
seem fit for me too, okay, rabbit and running forget
it again. And I told myself and I told my guy,
(13:08):
I said, God, I will never do this off of
the fresh anymore. And I never, like I'm like, I'm
telling you like I told you before, well, when we
had the session before. Every time that I get on
(13:30):
a set or or or the drums or whatever, I
prayed before I get on that set. Because you're ministered
to a lot of people, and when you're ministering to
a lot of people, those certain spirits or whatever can
(13:51):
flow back on you if you're not ready for it exactly.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
And those spirits, you know, are are seven times seventy
seven times stronger than ever.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Because you're definitely right about that.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
It's it's it's strong. It's like if anyone has ever
dealt with strongholds. That's like having a ton of bricks
in your lap and not being able to move. You
try to, you try to maneuver with these bricks in

your lap, but you can't. You don't go, you don't
get nowhere further because you have you have strongholds of
bricks holding you down. That's how I view strongholds mm hm.
And you know, and like you say, your flesh has

to die eight and doing that daily is not an
easy task.

It's it's really not an easy task. You got. Musicians
are caught up in scandals every day in different cities.
Mm hmm. Every day in different cities. You know, somebody,
some musician or some well known musician has been caught

slipping or got caught red handed. You know, whether the
case may be. You know, but like you said, if
if you don't kill, if you don't kill the flesh daily,
you're you're pretty much putting yourself at risk for anything

that comes it, sir.

Being in the spirit of self is risky. It's dangerous.
It's like playing Russian Roulette with Satan himself.

how that that situation is coming out onto us. Basically,
that's basically just not a good feeling. It's not a

You can't be balanced in one area and be off

caught up on self facts. You know, they they really
are doing it based off of popularity. But but sad

sad to say, the dreams of the musiciens. They're awesome
in their gifts, don't know, but they're not in the word.

I was wonderful. Okay, if we really want music, if
we ever tell the truth, start with ourselves first. So
I'm gonna come to be the first tell you. I
was one of those musicians that wasn't in the world.
I started playing drum was going to get me into heaven.

I thought, you know, having a having I didn't know
what the annoyanty was. I didn't know what the gift was.
All I knew was I just like I just come
to church play drums because that's all I know.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
Yes, it's a good sight to see. Yes, it's a
good sight to do. Yes, it's good to to know
the drums. But like uh, some people and some musics
since I've been following, what if you don't have that

that gift? What if you lose that gift? What you're
gonna need then?

Do you have a nine of five or or.

Do you have something else to fall back on?

What if? What if you lose that?

And I just put it like that almost did lose that.
But thanks to God that I was able to, you know,
get back on my feet and walk again because I
had two back surveys. People don't even know that I
had two back surgeries.

That's why right in there, Because saying your back once
when something was wrong with your bag before your back
came over, that's it.

That's what I'm saying. I had two back surgeries, and
the first one I don't even supposed to have been.
All the doctors was supposed to have been doing was
just going in cleaning it and adjusting it and closed
me up. Second thing, I got got to the to

the doctor's office, I couldn't even get intoto the my
father's suv. I wouldn't even step I couldn't even step
up to the top of the suv just to go
to my uh my, my second visit. And then when
(23:16):
doctors had the nerves to sit there and say, Okay,
is he faking it? Is he? Is he really serious?
And if it wasn't for his assistant there was a
godfared person to say, Okay, I'm gonna send you to
this person, I'm gonna send you to this, I'm gonna
(23:38):
send you to this, I wouldn't have been able to
be seen. If it wasn't for that doctor that took
me to rehab and and and did what he had
to do, I would have didn't really get it dead
(24:01):
right now because I had hostin my lifus and I
still have it. I have issues with my my legs,
but thank God I'm able to move my gams because
I did. At first I was not able to.

Move my limbs. Yeah, yes, that that's a that's a
straight up blessing within itself. Uh, a straight up blessing
because like we we take and this goes, this goes

for me. We we as a collective, we take things.
We take simple things for granted until where I mess
that's true stuff position to where we can't get out

of the boy. It's gonna take us a while to
get out of Jeff. Both simple things long you know,
if we take I like our health and so they're there.
There's been a near mission unhappened where life could have

been over or you overswept, and you have one more

so I had had a birthday to her and today
saying happy birthday to my limit drop. Today's her birthday

It makes you become very appreciative in life. I wish

No, yes, yes, that's a blessing just to see people.
And you know, that's one thing in my career that
I love in life today to see people come come
to God and say that I want to be saved.

You know, that's a good feeling to see that, to
say that I want to be saved and I want
to be baptized and I want to be filled with
the precious Spirit. It's not too many in existence I
want to say that, neither. But I see people every
every service.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
I love saying that.

I love saying that, and it's a blessing just to see,
you know, that I had a great part of that
that ministry, just to say, you know, to see that
happen right, very did you notice that that you you
you are playing in the ministry. You're playing in the ministry,

and you've drawn people to God and you don't even
you not even noticing matter.

Sometimes sometimes like I would have to say no, because
when you enjoy doing what you do, uh huh, like
the focus of just being in just just being in
the presence is I'm good with just being in the presence,

to be honest with you. But however, my brother, I
do it. I do get weirded out when people be like, hey,
you're an awesome player. You've been playing them drums, Like okay,
I don't want it, but thank you because and the
(41:54):
reason why I say that because it goes back to
you enjoy, Like if you want enjoy doing what you're doing,
the other stuff really doesn't matter. If you just enjoy
doing what you're doing exactly right there, We're not we're not.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
We're not one of the ones that you know, take
it to our heart to where to what you know,
it's just like, okay, yes I did it. I always tell.

Them all glorious.

Be to God. You know, that's all I say, because
God is the one that gave us our limbs and
the activities of our lyrics. If we didn't give up
the activities of our limbs, we wouldn't be doing what
we called ministry. So exactly. So that's that's that's basically

what I'm saying. I give it all to Him.

Yes, yes, with these accidents, there's a lot of accidents, accidents, homicides, uh, sickness,
natural causes. Life is shorts. To those who have elderly
family members that's still moving around, that's that's alive. Love

on them, cherished, the embrace them, because once when they're gone,
there's no coming back.

That's true.

And you got that. And now we are embarking a
holiday of giving thanks and be thankful for your family,
be thankful that you're alive, and just be thankful in general.

Yes, you're right about that. Like you're said, as far
as the age limit, I thank god for my my coworker,
one of my co workers. He I call him Papa
because the reason why, Carl Popula, because he earned that
that uh, that name. He's over ninety years old. He

walks five miles a day and across the ark he
cross guards uh every day with us. And I got
excuse me, I got the best boss in the world.
Shots out to her, and all of the city's management,
all city management, that's that's who I work for.

All city management, that's the name of the company.

All of the cross guards that you see, that's a crossing, ah,
your kids, that's all city management. And all of the
police departments that's looking over us. Thank you guys, you know,

you know, before these kids going into school. You know,
it's a blessing. And like I always say, and I said.
