Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello everybody, and welcome to my wife Loves Wrestling podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm Miles Webber and she loves wrestling.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
I do.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Let's talk about it. How are you good your ship? Thanks?
It's because you've got it.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
For me, I know, but I mean it's really it's
so great.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
It's a fantastic shirt. It does for those of you
listening and not watching. It has it says murder yoga,
and then there's a kind of a picture of a
silhouette of a guy giving another guy a German sup box,
which is pretty fantastic. So yeah, it's it's quickly climbing
the charts on my new favorite shirt.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Good wholeheartedly, So thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
That something because you are picky as hell when it.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Comes to clothe, appreciatingly picky when it comes to close.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
That is not a lie in the slightest.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
No, that's why I stopped buying you clothes.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
That is a fact. That is a fact.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
That's probably the safest bet because yeah, I'm I got
a weird torso, so it's a matter of like, is
the shirt gonna fit me? Probably, that's a whole thing, man.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
But you're just your no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
No, we can't show my belt buckle. That's that's a
mystery that just remains that way.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
I spent enough, full ship, I spent enough, That's what
I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
I spent enough time in my twenties having to lift
my shirt for a joke. I hated that. I for
the rest of my life.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Now can just keep it down and that's just that's
that's for your eyes only.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Thanks, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
You, on the other.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Hand, are just happy you were able to get into
your shirt.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I don't know that I'm getting out of the shirt.
This might just be what I give birth.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yes, that might that might be it.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah, it's it's it's the Vegas John Cena a fairwell
to there.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
There's no pinchy room.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah that's it.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
But I mean that thing stretched, it got over her. Yeah,
that's for sure, wholeheartedly.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
All right, let's break down the list, shall I?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
So did you know? No?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Because I saw this part of the list and I
was like, what are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
You were like, fantastic?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Did you know there was a new Batman?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I feel like I've probably there's always a new Batman.
I feel like that's a trick question.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Did you know that at two o'clock this morning, Charles
Robinson got bit by a bat? What he got bit
by a bat? Got rushed to the er. I think
he was there for four hours. They had to give
him six shots for like rabies and all that jazz.
He's a new Batman.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
He's a new Batman's Batman. Oh yeah, because he got
bit by a bat. Oh no, that is my worst night.
That's not like the Batman.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Like the character though doesn't actually get bitten by he's.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Just afraid of bats.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
I can believe what I want.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
You can't works for Spider Man.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
It can work for him.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
The exact same thing, exactly, exact same thing, just in
the DC universe as opposed to the Marvel universe.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
That's fair.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
But I feel like somewhere Sting is like God damn.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
It, just like the Son of a bitch Man.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
That's my thing. I've been up here in the rafters
for the longest time.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
And now Robinson gets bit by the bat Man.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
He got bit by a bat. That's not good. Yeah,
we're gonna start calling him COVID nineteen Robinson.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
So he posted a picture on his Instagram first of
like him and the er and they're like doing all
the stuff to his hand or whatever. And then the
next one was like somebody with a glove holding the
bat that bit him, And I was like, that's my
worst nightmare. That's terrible, that's my fear. Feels validated now.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Well, yeah, because you got a thing with bats, they
got chased. You got chased by a bat.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
I don't know if we've told that story on here before,
but yes, it was when I was at the weirdest
audition of all time. I was at the weirdest. This
story was wild from both ends. I was the weirdest
audition of all time my pseudo management at the time.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
I was with them for a year when we.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Lived down in Los Angeles, and they're too long. It
was a year too long, that is absolutely. It was
probably a year and a half too long for the
year we're with them. But the only audition they ever
sent me out on was an.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Audition for I don't even know what it was for,
like a show or something.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
They specifically in the listing asked for a Seth Rogan
looking type character. Obviously you clearly me, especially in my
early twenties, right, Yeah, No, I couldn't even buy a
jewfro and put it on me and pull.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
That off or grow facial or facial hair.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Even at the time, Yeah, because that was very like
forty year old virgin Seth Rogan. Yeah, knock knocked up,
Seth Rogen and so man, I walked into that room,
and sure enough it is a bunch of gentlemen who
looked like Seth Rogan, and the record stopped. They all
looked at me, and I was like, I don't know
what I'm doing here, other guys, I'm sorry, my bad.

(04:44):
So I was across town doing that. Yes, and then
you called me or texted me.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
I text you because I was running.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
You text me saying like that. You said I was running.
I didn't have time to like call I was running
and texting.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Yeah, you know, like not both hands. I had to
hold our dog with you.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Yeah. Yeah, you had old has in the other arm.
So yeah, you were doing it. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
We I took him out to go to the bathroom
in the apartment complex that we lived in where our
door was. It made sense to like leave the gate area,
and what we would do at the time is we
put like a rock in front of the door.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Because back in Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Yeah, and I went to go pick up and put
a rock at the door, and I hear this loud
screech and this bat just opens its wings and.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
It was on the wall.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah, ship myself, pick up my dog and start booking
it down, and then realize I am locked out of our.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Apartment and locked out well because I mean on the wall.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
It's like it was right there. It was like a
foot and a half two feet away from you. And
so you were real up close and personal with a
very frightened bat.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Yeah, and yeah, it chased after.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Y'all in broad daylight, and so you had your own
little batman origin story that happened.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
And from there on you were like, I hate bats,
hay baths, and so when I saw this today, I
was like, oh, oh oh, yeah, it's it's climbing the
ranks in my fears.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
I mean, and I believe I had told you before,
like you had seen pictures of like fruit bats eating
fruit and like, oh cowcute, And I'm like, nah, man,
like those things will get you, Like you don't want
to mess with those things.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
So, okay, so he got bit by a bet do
we know where on his like in his hands, on
his hand.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Okay, I only have questions for a lot of things.
Oh yeah, because he went the ear. I think he said,
like around two o'clock this morning, what were you do? Like,
I don't know if it was I'm assuming it was
in his house, but it's to be at but like
probably midnight, one o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Well, I mean, is he touring, right, I mean, because
I mean he's he's raughing pretty regularly, so I mean
it's a matter of like if he was.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
In between trans at.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Someplace, and yeah, I mean Wednesday morning because this is Wednesday,
So I can't imagine he'd be anywhere. But I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I don't know, so I don't have answers. But oh
my goodness, Charles Robinson, he's been through a lot.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Well then I feel like all the bumps he's taken
this year like kind of helped like build.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Up, build up the topic.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
I genuinely think they're turning him into a super villain.
Like I feel like his counts are going to get
faster now.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Yeah, he's going to.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Just count a hole through the ring one too, oh no,
and he's going to have to run back and then
turn into a bat.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
It's gonna be a whole thing it's going to be exciting.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, but yeah, I know he took the shoulder tackle
from Sina and then he took the spear from Goldberg.
Right yeah, so I mean those two things and then
getting bit by a bat that's the trifecta.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah, that's the holy trinity of you. Two months right
within a two months? Man, I know. Man, he's been very,
very active.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
So you have to sell some of those robes to
pay off these medical bills.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
You have to sell a Rick Flair robe if he
wants to make sure that medical is covered. Well, our
thoughts and prayers are with Charles Robinson. Hope that you're okay, man,
I mean, goodness, gracious, Yeah, such a.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Such a weird that it like popped up today and
I was like, oh, perfect to like talk about, but
what a.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Weird perfect, excellent.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
But it does kind of lead me into the next thing,
which I think we started talking about the other day
and we stopped because we wanted to talk about on
here sure, which was the like the WWE Treasures.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Show, Yeah, great show.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yeah, and how we were talking about how weird it
is for like a super fan to.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
That's my biggest thing is like you get a situation
where you have a super megafan who has some memorabilia
of wrestlers past and they love that thing, and then
the actual wrestler ends up showing up to their doorstep,
comes in their home, talks with them, looks at their stuff,

(08:46):
and is like, can I buy this thing of mine
back from you?

Speaker 2 (08:50):
And they look them in the eye and go, no, no.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
No, you cannot, you cannot have this thing. That's totally
Cody Rhodes. He went to the guy to try and
get his dad stuff. That's his father, and you're just
like it means too much to me.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
It's like not that much, Like that's his dad. Man. Like,
so I love this psychotic nature.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Of these fads who just have the balls to look
them in the eye and be like.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Nah, bra, that's mine. Now, it's so weird. I'll let
you rent it.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Any wrestler showed up at our house like, yeah, yeah,
you can have it. Probably wouldn't even ask for that's
the thing.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
They always want to pay him, like thousands of dollars
for it.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
I think was was it Mick Foley that like went
and like came over and watched a pay per view
with them.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
He watched a premium live event with with a family.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yeah, now that was a that was a bargaining chip.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Is I's what I like, don't give me money for it.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
But yeah, experience.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Well that's what we saw in like later seasons where
they're just like, I'd prefer an experience as opposed to money,
and so they're like, give me like the WrestleMania everything package,
and they're like, don all right, we got you covered.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Give me a walkout.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Yeah, yeah, I want.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
To do the whole thing with Randy Orton, Like I
want to walk out and a run in with Randy Orton.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Let's do that.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
So yeah, no, that's a good show. Yeah, fantastic. But
we were talking about something else with it.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Well, I was bringing it up because I was talking
about Fleetwood Mac and Mick Fleetwood's restaurant, and I was like,
I would love to watch a show because two years
ago his restaurant burned down in Hawaii.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Yes, and those.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Who don't know, Mick Fleetwood is the drummer for Fleetwood Mac. Yeah,
and he had a restaurant in Honolulu, one of the.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Hawaiian islands, one of the fancy Hawaiian islands.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
He had a restaurant there with a bunch of Fleetwood
Mac memorabilia, and it might have been Maui because that's
when the fires. I think I might have been Maui
and so yeah, he lost everything in the fire, and
so we were Yeah, I think we were talking about.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Saying like I would watch a show where they go
and like talk to super fans or whoever, or has
their stuff from you know, their ship out there of theirs,
like the stuff they were doing after parties and there's
stuff everywhere of theirs. So I would watch that show
when that's I think how we got onto the conversation
of it, They.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Like, will you play the beat for Tusk? That's my
only bargaining ship.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
I have a drum set right over, don't all right?

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yes? Yeah, fantastic, Love that idea, Love that concept.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
I think we need more famous people going out for
their memorabilia to just try and I don't know Indian
wrestle people on their front some of.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
The reality shows that are out there, and we're redoing
everything right now. So let people get their ship best,
let people get their We'll just watch it.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Yeah, absolutely, like that is That's what I want to say,
is just like wrestlers running up on people and just
being like I could just take.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
This from you, and I'm going to actually right and
then be like, well wait, I'm gonna sue you. It's
just like you're not for my stuff, for my stuff sociopath.
So uh yeah, No, people are strange, people are stilly.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Other thing online today, scrap Daddy posted, of course, as
he does multiple times.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
We love us some scrap Daddy, we do.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Uh, And I think I showed it to you. His
picture today I think was caption loves somebody.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Today and row row, which means they're having an affair.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
She is cheating on Travis Brown after she just had
like her second or third kid.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Well, yeah, you don't know how that pregnancy was for her,
you know.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
I mean like, and then the kid comes out, it
looks a lot like scrap Daddy. I mean, like, come on,
I put glasses on that baby. Tell me it's not
his kid.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Travis Brown doesn't have a lot of hair either. I
know too much, you know too much. So what that means, obviously,
we never know, especially nowadays, we don't know what anything
on anymore. Yeah, but I'm intrigued. I'm intrigued, and I
don't hate it.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
I mean, this is the time for her to come back.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
I mean, like the only caveat is she hates Bruits Pritchard,
So I mean, if she's able to come back, maybe
that's a way for him to kind of get edged
out because him and Michael Hayes are kind of the
only two ties left that we know of. They're at
least on the front line to the Vince mcmon era,

(13:26):
and so that's where we would be beyond okay with
those guys getting worked out in some capacity. But yeah,
I think that's the only caveat. If she can get
passed out or they can figure that out, then yeah, No,
it would be great to have her back because then
she gets to actually try and have a little bit
of a run that I mean she deserved back in

(13:47):
the day but ultimately couldn't really get too much steam
because I mean Vince is just alive.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Yeah. Well, and I want to say, I don't know
if Shane is doing something with NXT like directing, writing, producing,
but I think Shana got cut from like roster talent,
but she's doing behind the scenes, so it would make
sense for her to come back as well because Shane
is still around doing her thing. Absolutely, and rond has

(14:15):
been posting on her Instagram. I think the other day
it was so cute. It was both of her kids
watching her in the cage like training, and I was like,
what a what a cool thing, absolutely cool thing, my mom.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Well, I mean like you get that with like the
women recently who have kids in the day of his
division who or will just say the women's division and
uh yeah, their kids being in the front row watching.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Yeah, Alexa Bliss's daughter.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Yeah, yeah, that's fantastic.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
The best picture she's like humbled.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Oh yeah, yeah, sticking out there.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Yeah. But speaking of not being able to trust anything,
we haven't really talked about SummerSlam because they had an
amazing guest last week.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
We did, we talk to Alice now, so that's why
we didn't get to talk about SummerSlam. Yeah, you can't
trust anything anymore, man, I mean, which but at the
same time, though.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
That's what the new DTA stands for.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
The new DTA stands for, is just don't trust any
old asshole.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yeah, man, I mean.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
That's just kind of like the new kfabe, is it not,
Because I mean, this is just the generation.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
That we're in now, the era of social media.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
And having to keep things up, you know. I mean
it's the same as like the Undertaker trying to be
the same person. Yeah, him being the Undertaker all the time.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
For three decades plus.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
So yeah, the fact that you got seth rollins milk
and the injury, I mean, he fooled us.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
We were on this.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Podcast on the couch like so exciting calling it for weeks.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Oh yeah, You're like he might be faking this. Yeah,
like who knows? And sure enough you were correct. Yeah,
he was indeed faking yet. So yeah, man, that was fantastic.
That was very well done.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
But unvirtually you know, you had talked about we had
talked about it earlier about like a boy cried wolf
type of situation, like now nobody's gonna trust an injury,
and but to that, in fact, I hope that.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
I hope everybody just stays respectful, you know.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
I mean, like the people get actually injured, don't try
and give them shit at the airport.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Take their leg because you think it's fine.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Like, don't take their crushes away because you know, don't
be a child.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
And now it's that weird spot because now, like we
found out this week, Naomi's out on injury, she might
be pregnant.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
There's a lot of rumors circulating.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
I believe, like last month or the month before, she
was saying that she wanted.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
To be she wanted to be a mom.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
So yeah, that was the thing, is she wanted to
get a little run in before she took some.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Time off the mom. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
And so yeah, I've heard rumors that she's pregnant. I've
heard rumors that she's actually injured. I've heard rumors that
she's not actually injured. So yeah, man, it could be
any avenue.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
Well, and then now we're looking at the carrying crust
situation of this week, that is the fact where did
he really not get signed? I was also reading that
they were trying to resign him but not Scarlet, and
so that's why he didn't. And so you know, rumors
are always going to be rumors until we find out
something else. But it does make it a little bit
harder now. I feel like, fresh off of the seth

(17:11):
roll in SummerSlam thing that people are like, I'm not
really buying into anything too much right now because we
don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
It's hard.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
It's hard, man, Yeah, you don't want to buy into
too much of it because you have genuinely no idea
who is lying about what what's going on with this
that the other man. It's just there's no telling. Yeah,
who is actually cut?

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Who is that?

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Because I mean with you had our truth, you had
our truth a while back where it was a matter
of we thought he got cut, he did not get cut.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
That didn't happen.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
So now yeah, with carrying cross and scarlet and then
being like all right, here we go, let's make it happen,
and then yeah, there's a lot of speculation. It would
definitely be a big It would be a big pop
if he ended up coming back and ended up being
a work, you know. So I mean that would definitely

(18:09):
be a good angle.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Yeah, if it was a work.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yeah, But it's just yeah, man, I don't know, I
don't know how often you go to this well yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Don't think you can do it too much. Now. I
will give them and Seth all the credit in the world.
I mean, there's the pictures of him being around his
daughter and like selling it.

Speaker 4 (18:28):
I know.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Nikki Bella, I think was talking about on her podcast
that maybe like that day he was backstage on the
crutches and she was talking to him for like a
half hour about his injury and pet and all this stuff.
So I mean, you gotta give them for sure credit
on it, like they really went all the way and
to the bit. But yeah, I agree, I don't think

(18:51):
you can go back to it too many times. Oh yeah,
you got to separate them out for sure.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
You gotta pick your battles because I mean, then people
just don't trust. You don't want people to trust, not
trust anything about what's going on. It's fun to have
the bouncing back and forth like Okay, well this person
really did have this thing happen versus all right, like
this is this is going on now it's a work.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Yeah, weird, weird time to be a wrestling fan.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
But I mean, like, hey, it makes for those big
moments where because yeah, we lost our minds when he
pushed those what an iconic moment. I mean, he's got
two of the best cash ins of anybody in wrestling ever,
Like I mean it's probably he's probably like in the
top three, and he's got two of the best cash
ins of all time.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
And that was I saw the meme that was like
when you lie to your mom and say you're sick
and so you're staying from school and she goes to
work and then like it's him dropping the crush.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Yeah, that's that's so funny. That's so funny. That's so funny.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
If we're going to talk about SummerSlam, I feel like
we have to talk about the inevitable mister Brocklesner.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
The other side of I mean, which which to me
was the damper and the sour ending to man, what
a match, Like, I think one of the best matches
seen is put on in this side of this decade.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Like I don't even know what that move was outside
of the ring where he like hopped and flipped him he.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Was on his back and then he rolled over and
flipped him over. I mean I think I've seen him
do that once or twice yore.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
But incredible, incredible, so good. So I think that's like
I think you said that Nightly, that's the match everybody
wanted to see at WrestleMania, but as a heel could
not happen, And so it was nice to get that,
Oh yeah for sure. Yeah, and so I agree it
definitely put a damper on the match for so many reasons.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Yeah, man, I mean, like, and we've talked about this
off the podcast, so it's probably a good time to
talk about it now.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
There are a lot of drawbacks.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
And frustrations right now to be a WWE fan like
of the product, and it has to do with just
some of the things going on behind the scenes with
like the Vince mcman scandal.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Who's tied into it and who's.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Been like cited as far as like there have been
text messages and things like there's actual stuff that you
can read and so like, yeah, people involved in that,
it makes it really really tough. And you know, brock
Lesner being one of the people who was kind of involved,
I think it was like he kind of denied the

(21:31):
passing around of the girl, right because I mean, we
don't want to get too much in the details, but
because we also only know.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
We only know so much.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Yeah, we only know what's what's out there, so I mean,
but even.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Then, it's just still to be like complicit in something
like that, you know. That's that's the hard part. There's
a lot of moving pieces.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
To the entire an arc of what's going on with
the Vince mckman scandal, and it.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
Does make it hard because there's only a select few
people that know the truth of the whole situation. And
so obviously we don't know the truth of the whole situation,
but we know what's been presented and we know how
we feel about it. Yeah, And I mean that's you know,
I think kind of all you have to go off
of as a fan, and I think when we've talked
about and I was even saying when we were watching

(22:20):
Unreal on Netflix, it's so hard to hear about like
how much the women's division is thriving and growing and
carrying a lot of the company on its back right now,
a lot of capacities, and then to have something like
this happen where you're like, Okay, well, where's this line
for respecting women in your company.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
And their safety and everything? You know.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
I mean, that's a big thing. So but yeah, man,
it's it's really hard. It's hard to hear that. You know,
they're they're really it's dawning on them that, oh, the
women really deserve more than a seat at the table here.
You know, they deserve a lot of notoriety and respect
and attention that they hopefully will be getting in the

(23:05):
near future.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
It's nice hearing that, but like you said, it does kind.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Of sour it that it's just like dude, and yet
we're okay with Lesnar coming back. But at the same
time we've talked about like that could be a TKO
decision at the top because they're all about the money,
you know, and so I mean we know we know
from experiences the inside of mixed martial arts in that world,
you know, I mean like Dana and just being this
real backwards type of individual. But I mean he was

(23:32):
also on Stephanie McMahon's podcast, so so it's just like
tell me your story. There's a lot of great out
of money and health insurance and everything.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
So yeah, there's so much great area to it. So
it does make it it hard on it that all aside,
I've never been a big brock Lessener fan to begin with.
Now when I was doing a little bit more research
because I know we were confused this week of like, okay,
well now it's Logan Paul and seen a clash. What's
going on? It does sound like they haven't announced it yet,

(24:05):
so again rumor that they are going to do a
pay per view that's what I'm calling it September twentieth,
But it is going to be the first time ever
that WWE is having something the same night as AEW
for their premium live event. So and it does sound

(24:26):
like they're holding out for Brock and Sina headlining that
to try and draw the numbers that way over what
aw's doing. So who knows?

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Who knows?

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Again is the internet can't believe everything on the internet,
you can. So that's just kind of what people are
speculating right now that they're holding out for.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
We'll see. Man.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Yeah, I'm not a listener found either, even though I'm
wearing a shirt that is showcasing like they know, we
know that Olgrande Americano does the German supplex really good?

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Oh good? I have him on the list.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
You do have list? I know?

Speaker 1 (25:05):
I mean he's on the list every week because that's
saga is just unfolding like a soap opera, telenovela if
you will.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Well, and so here's the thing in that we can
leave Brock alone with Goldberg being gone. I feel like
El Grande Americano's slogan should be Who's next?

Speaker 2 (25:21):
But to play Who's next? To play him?

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Because I feel like WWE knew that we all knew
that it was Corey Graves as the first one, and
then clearly and then now this past Monday, everybody was
doing the Ludwig Kaiser chant, so everybody knows it's him,
and so I feel like once people figure it out,
they change it.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Scarlet Burdo, so let Scarlet.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
I don't hate that.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
I don't hate that she's Americana.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
I don't hate it's still be el though a little
bit of Spanish.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
That's like the littlest pits that we're using to essentially
accentuate the name.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Of a coffee.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
I don't hate that. But so I do think his
slogan should be who's.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Next, Who's next?

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Yeah, who's going to down the mask? There's a whole
team movem now, because there's the one who's been running
in and interfering, who's got kind of a different mask,
who I don't think is being portrayed necessarily as another
grande Americano.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
I think that's just another part of that lineage that
we just don't know who they are.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
Yeah, probably.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
So, Yeah, we're.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Learning about the Triple A stuff as we go. I know,
I know, and I know everybody's like, when are you
going to watch Indy? We have a three year old,
and I am pregnant.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
We're doing the best and we're in the middle of
a move. We're in the middle of two moves, so yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Like you're doing the best we can going on.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Yeah, and I want to be gone next week to run.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
If you want to send us facts about stuff to
educate us.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Go ahead, email us, drave us a line and.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
We'll happily discuss whatever anger notes that you have about
the indies.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
We're here for it, okay.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
So yeah, so that was my old thing of Macana, like,
and I think we were talking about, like, yeah, they
do like a ladder match or something, but instead of
the money on the bank, it's like the mask. Yeah,
and they all go for it, but everybody's still wearing
the mask, so you don't know who's you know, who's
who climbing up there. So yeah, I love them.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Yeah, yeah, No, let's make it a thing.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
More on raw Bronson Reid, the tribal thief, the.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Tribal thief, brilliant, brilliant. He cut a good promo.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Man, pa they're letting him take over right now with
the Bronze Hens.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
That's such a good name.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
I love the bron Brons name. Not as much then,
but the name is great. Yeah, he cuts. I mean
he's just such a better talker than bron Breaker. Man,
these light years ahead of bron Breakers. So yeah, he
cut a really fantastic promo.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
And him still in the shoes.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, he's rocking the shoe of Falla around his neck.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
It's just I hope it gets all the way to
the ground.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Oh yeah, he just keeps on, hang, keeps on attaching
Air Force one sneakers and nikes to the just add
to the chain like it's a chain you make in
grade school with those level Yeah, those little Christmas tree trains.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yeah, absolutely, man, Uh.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yeah, no, I think that's fantastic. If we just get
them a different singlet, I'd be.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
A happy guy.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
I mean, yeah, I'm just not a fan of the
Toddler singlet where it just kind of like gives him
that camel toe or moose knuckle if I can, you know,
be so Candi. Yeah, he's got a moose knuckle going
on down there wholeheartedly. So yeah, man, just like where
are the short ones? Like what the shorts go like
halfway down your thigh? Yeah, that's that's all I'm asking, man,

(28:53):
Because there's something about watching his thighs rub together when
he's walked.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
That is just just really.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Doesn't do itwhere else I can't.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
I mean, I just it's there like I mean, it's
just the the friction that rubs together. Man, I mean,
I'm worried about safety.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
If you are, why don't you mail him some baby
powder in a singlet and call it? Call it a day?

Speaker 2 (29:17):
All right? So I will take that upon myself to
do that.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
Yeah, I'll get done.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
There's all kinds of stuff on the lists that you've
been begging me to do for how long now? And
I feel like I'll send that singlet like you did
that before this.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
I oddly feel like you're going to feel more accomplished.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
If you can't, I would, I would like, why do
you look so happy? Just like I mailed that singlet
to Bronze and Reid, so hopefully he's got it.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Now. There you go with love. Bron Broun.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
Makes me thinking, remember the ice creams when we were younger?
The bon bons?

Speaker 2 (29:50):
I mean, that's why I think, that's why I called them. Yeah, it's.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Also Monday night round. Bailey is hearing voices her head.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
She is going to be the lady r KO. Yeah,
I love it. Yeah, we're here for it. I mean yeah,
because that's the things we were talking about. She was
a heel not too long ago.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
But she was just kind of like a jerk heel,
just like, you know, I'm better than you and you suck,
which is fine, you know. And then she kind of
turned face again and we enjoyed that. But yeah, now
now it seems like she's just going to go crazy.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Yeah, it feels like a like a Nikki Cross or
Alexa Bliss before Charlotte stepped in type of situation. So yeah,
I feel she's gonna be in the why at six.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
Who knows, but I mean like, yeah, it's going to
be interesting to see what that character becomes, what she's
able to do if it helps elevate her.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
So that's just what It's weird to think she's been
at it for a while a long time.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
She's been at it for a really long time, man,
So like that's the weird thing to think about. Like
going back, I think one time Robin was like, I
want to watch like the girls wrestle, and I.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Want to watch like, what do you want to watch?
A ladder match or something. I think was one between
her and Sasha Banks or something.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
And just seeing how young she was and I'm just like,
oh wow, it's like, okay, I mean she looks phenomenal now,
like I mean, no, she looks amazing, gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous,
and so but yeah, it's just like, oh man, yeah, girl,
you've been at this for a minute.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Well, but I also think because that was the hugger era. Yeah,
and so also the way she was doing her hair,
like the makeup like, so they were really also catering
to making her look as young and innocent as possible,
and her look adds to it. But no, for sure,
I mean now because she was with it, you know
when Sasha, Charlotte Becky, when all the all of them

(31:40):
came up together, and so she deserves her push, like
she proper.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
What if they bring back the hugger gimmick, and but
she's crazy. It's like, I love I'm a crazy hugger.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
You know. She's all like and like creepy about it.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
So is it like the wacky inflatable arm feeling two
men but like almost stressed up like Alexa Blistol.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Yeah like that, and yeah they're creepy, got bloodshot eyes.
I think that's fantastic. Yeah, yeah, I'm here for that. Yeah,
let's do the creepy hugs.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
What do you think the music's going to sound like?

Speaker 1 (32:16):
I mean, I don't know, but I feel like it's
going to be like a cackle to start. That's gonna
be like her stone cold glass shattering. But I mean
like it's hard because Naomi has that laugh now that
she's doing and everything, and so it's just like it was,
is it going to be a battle of the cackles?

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Like how do we do this? It's like a cackle royale?
How do we settle this?

Speaker 3 (32:38):
You know?

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Uh so, yeah, I only have questions, but I'm intrigued
by all of it.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yeah, you know. I mean this also could be like
she's just got venom in her like from Spider Man.
I mean like could be.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Just like it was like the RKO Steak route and
so yeah, entirely a possibility.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Yeah, so I'm here for that.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
I like it. Like I think, like right when her
promo started, I was like, oh, turn and You're like
really am I yep?

Speaker 1 (33:01):
I mean just off of like her demeanor and her tone,
we were yeah it as well.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
I was like, oh, that's going to be a heel.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Turn Yeah, that's absolutely going to be Yeah, get it girl, Yeah,
turn that heel and then come on our podcast.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Because we're from the Bay.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
I mean we're around. You're doing stuff with the sharks
all the time.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
We're not too far so we're around. She's round for
like another couple of weeks and then we'll be a
round a round. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Last thing I had on here that it just made
sense to talk about because we did get to talk
to els now we did ob w got to post
their premium events will be free to watch. Yeah, so
I think you. I looked at up YouTube and then
Triller TV app. They'll have them on and from my understanding,
they have like a membership subscription that they're kind of

(33:50):
going to rebuild to get more things out of it.
But that'll come out next year.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Okay, Well they did that as a response to WWE
signing that deal with the spend and people being at
the arms about now we got to get another subscription
to watch different things, and it's just I it is
a matter of just like just put it all on
one thing.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Like it's really really weird that it's we have all these.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Streaming platforms and you've got one here, one here, one here.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
And I'm sure it's just because each corporation is paying them,
you know, their chunk. But it does suck because we,
I don't want to say grew up because we were
in our twenties. But with the WWE network, it was
like what nine nine Everything was right there.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Everything was right there, and so it was, you know,
how good we had it.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
We missed the network we do.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Yeah, it's just just so simple that it's just it's
all right here.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
It's its own entity. The premium live events are all
on here, like let's just call it what it is.
This is this is where it all is at.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
That's also when they were doing more original content. Yeah,
you know, they had more original shows. That's when the
countdowns really started doing the thing. I mean they're bringing
a lot of those back now, only like any or whatever.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
Well, then they were doing what was it like the
dinner with dinner for yeah, dinner for three. Yeah, that
was great.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
That was a good one too.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
So it's hard because I do understand it from a
business standpoint when you're like, okay, well if we're on ESPN, now,
anybody who has the ESPN app that isn't a wrestling fan,
but they see this pop up that it's on right now,
they might click on it and be curious. And so
I understand from the business side of things, the traction,
But when you're looking at everybody who's already a die

(35:33):
hard fan now spending like one hundred bucks a month
or whatever just to have all of.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
The sources is to be a fan, man, A lot.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
It is a lot, yeah, especially in this economy, Like
what are we doing then? So it's just that and
the cost of going to these.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
Events has gone through the roof, you know.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
I mean even when we went to WrestleMania eyeballing tickets
that weekend when prices went down a lot, still like
was substantial as far as like tickets you know, in
an arena where you're pretty far away no matter what,
unless you're down like on the floor floor super close,
Like that's thousands of dollars.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Those there are thousands of dollars each.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
So it's just like you're just you're there for the energy,
you're there for the experience and just being there with everybody.
But I mean, yeah, these events have gotten so expensive.
I mean when you go to the smaller arenas like
on a raw or a regular.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Not Summer Slam or not WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Premium live event worth it because that's more intimate and
you know you do.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Have you know, not a bad seat in the house really, but.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
Yeah, man, I mean that's all been such another thing
that's been like, man, it's frustrating to be a fan
right now for many reasons.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
But OVW capitalizing on that, yes, is really cool. They're
just like ours are free. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
I think it was like the next day, the next
posted that and I'll get it.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
Yeah, perfect, Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
So it's it's interesting. It's interesting to see how and
especially when we're looking at like AEW I know they're
doing cross promotion with TNA, but so when you're looking
at what these other organizations, how they're going to try
and you know, go against what WWE's doing. It's it's interesting.
It's interesting. And I think we even talked about it

(37:24):
that when now you're doing all these cross promotions with
different things, and you have Triple A and TNA and
maybe there was something else they were doing stuff with.
We remember growing up in the nineties that when WWF
at the time took over everything, it was kind of
one of the worst times for the product itself, like
to be a wrestling fan when it took on ECW

(37:47):
and WCW and like it wasn't the best time for
a good chunk of it, Like you know, it came
around and had an ebb and flow.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
I mean that's when I fell off, Yeah, because once
once things got kind of once w CW, you needs
to w debt sign on, And it wasn't like they
weren't getting the good wrestlers from those divisions, Like it
just felt like, okay.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
So much and we've talked about it from the women's
side of things, but it's so much on your roster.
And for then, it was raw and I think Smackdam
was on Thursday nights and that's all we had, plus
pay per views you know on Sundays at the time,
and then for a while they had Sunday Night.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Heat, which was an hour long show.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
Well, but it was typically like an hour before the
pay per views, like they tried to That was when
they're trying to like extend the pay per views, like
the views were two hours. Then you got Sunday Night
Heat beforehand. Now it was cool. I remember being a
fan and we did get tickets that if you got
tickets to the pay per view, you automatically got to
go to Sunday Night Heat as well.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
And so it was yeah, because I just recorded that before.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
Yeah, so it was a combined thing. So that was cool.
But yeah, so product wise, so now when you're taking
over all these things, Yeah, it's a lot to juggle.
It's a lot of characters to build storylines, to build
follow like follow through on.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
So it's a lot to juggle. At what point does
it tumble down?

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Man?

Speaker 2 (39:12):
I mean, like you just the ascension upward?

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Yeah, I feel like people and everybody watch for the
crash at some point of when things kind of fall
by the way side. So but I mean it's hard
right now because they got like one foot in the good,
one foot in the bad, in a lot of capacities
because there's some things that they're doing with the storytelling
that's just been really really good.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Yeah, so good, you know, and the roster talent they
have is amazing. Yes, So yeah, you hope for the best.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
I hope, you know, the knuckleheads get their heads out
of their asses and we see what happens.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
But in the meantime, watch OVW for free. Right.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Definitely check them out, give our give our good friend,
else know a shout out as well, tell them we
sent you.

Speaker 3 (39:50):
Absolutely, yeah, that was that was my list. That was it.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
We did it beautiful, We did it happen. Yeah, No,
I love that fantastic. Was there anything that we missed
sound off in the com like subscribe? There's always stuff
that we miss Especially depending on when this come out,
you're gonna be like, you didn't.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Do this, Why don't you talk about this?

Speaker 1 (40:06):
Just just happen because we wait like a week or
two to put these out, you weirdo in your mom's basement.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
We're doing the best we can.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
We are doing the best that we can every day actively, especially.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Everybody that listens and comments, like subscribes all those things.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Absolutely. Yeah, we're building this from the ground up.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
And this has been a really fun thing to do
and we're excited to keep on doing it. Excited for the
next one too, because we know what's coming.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
Down the pike.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
We got another episode we're gonna do with a non
wrestling fan, and so yeah, we're very excited to have
her on. But that's always a good time trying to
convert people in some capacity to see if we can
get the respect meter to to bump up.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
You doing mister burns right now?

Speaker 3 (40:47):

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
