Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the My Wife Loves Wrestling Podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
This is My Wife.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
I'm life by I'm Miles Webber. That's all you're gonna say.
You're not gonna there you go. You're just gonna be a
wife the entire time. So, I mean, people already google
my wife in general and they're looking me up.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
So it's not always me, and it's usually not.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
I think if I don't give them the name, that
would be good with the Google search.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
It does, it does. You're not wrong, You're not wrong. Well,
this podcast is dedicated to our love of wrestling and
my love for everyone, always of my wife, and so
uh that's where you usually steer this podcast on the
subjects because I feel like it makes sense.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Wife is in the title.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
So uh, that being said, I think you've got some
wrestling notes.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
That we are going to all the time, all the notes.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
You were excited about today's notes, Yeah, Am, you're very excited.
And there's some like hidden parts that are gonna be
a fun reveal for me that you're convinced you have
theories not Austin theories. No, thank you, thank god, thank god.
There's yeah, I know, right, Okay, so go ahead lay
it on me. What's the first thing we're going to
talk about in the rest of the world more about Raw.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
I know we did one right after Raw, but there
was more things that I noticed going back watching all
of those fun things. But I know we did talk
about Live Morgan's injury.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
She did get hurt. Ye get hurt.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Not in a fun way either, I mean like she
was trying to protect herself, falling down on her face
and then the shoulder just really popped out of the side.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
I feel so bad because people are attacking Kyrie saying
like she did something wrong. No, nothing, no, nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
That was just a freak accident. You're supposed to I mean,
what was she supposed to do? Take it to the face, like,
I mean, that's not how you do it all just
you're not going to do that in the slightest.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
So really a shame. And I also like, because I
know we were building up like okay, well now Dom
has his chance. And by no means am I happy
Live got injured?
Speaker 2 (01:59):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:59):
No twist.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah no, we're not happy at all that Liv got hurt.
Like we said on the last podcast. I mean it's
just more I think the balance of the universe and
everything right, I mean something that's really bad, Like there
are going to be byproducts of that that end up
being on the bright side of things. And I think
a thing for Dom is that he now can really
dig into like who are you if you're not this
(02:23):
f boy, Like, let's get into that. You can keep
the dirty mustache, like, let's like I'm here.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
For your preference.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, I mean, like not a.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Big mustache fan on him at works, that mustache in
that greasy mullet, so viola rasa. So yeah, man, I
think that he's got his time to shine.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
But we do wish Live Morgan a very.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Especially because I believe Summer Slam is in her hometown
and now she's going to miss it.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
I know, well, she was building the thing with Nicki.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
She had like three different storylines, and there was stuff
with Roxanne and then if she was going to do
anything with the tag team titles.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
That's the other thing now is she's hurt and shell
for a while. They can't defend those titles, so do
they get stripped? Is there going to be a tournament
now for the women's.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
I mean, I feel like it's going to be a
whole storyline that Roxanne is like the defense. No, it's
the new tag team partner with Raquel.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Okay, all right, So then there you go.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
And that could be another thing where like Live comes back,
and when she does come back, big pot because she's
gonna feud with Roxanne.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
So that could be a thing that ends up happening.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
And I think that's where that's going to go. But
I think there's gonna be a tiff because Raquel and
Roxanne have been getting into it this entire time, So
it'll be interesting, be very interesting. But with that, and
because she's on your shirt, did you see Rio Ripley's
post about Live getting hurt? Bigger person? And she was
(03:46):
pretty much saying, we're not happy that somebody gets hurt.
Don't be like them.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
So taking the high room, see mommy taking the top road.
I'd love to see it. I know it's it's it's
not a new thing.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
But for her being classy, she was also very upset
when we all thought our truth was getting released. Yeah,
and so jokes on us Ron Killin's baby FTW. So
so yeah, that's good, Okay, well that's good.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
I'm glad you took the high road.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
So other things I noticed on Raw I'm pretty sure
every match on Raw had outside interference, did it?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
I missed some of the middle because I was getting
some I had to get some work done atter pushing session.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Not stoked about it. Not stoked about it.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I mean, I'm I'm always really wishy washy when there's
shenanigans that happened in the match. I refer to shenanigans
as someone interferes, there's a botched finish or something happens
to where like it's not a clean victory by one
person or one team whoever is involved in them.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Granted, because they're doing like the Fatal four ways with
all the King of the Ring stuff, it's more apt
to happen because people can interfere. But still was stoked about.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
It, especially when it's a triple thread. It's a fratial
four way.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
You know, there's no disqualification, and so then that just
kind of is a matter of like, all right, whatever
happens happens. So and then to that point, you know, logically,
wouldn't every person in the fatal four wheel of triple
threat have like a valet with them and be like, hey,
make sure that you know they all cancel each other out.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I feel like.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Would be the quote unquote fair thing. But it's wrestling.
There's gonna be things that aren't fair. But yeah, I
don't like for continuity reasons. I don't care for they're
always being interference. I think it kind of taints the
It taints the event, the people in that city who
came to see Monday Night Raw. Oh, every match got
interfered with, or there was a DQ or it was
(05:44):
just Shenanigan's.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
So I don't care for that.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah, it wasn't wasn't stoked about it. I'm a fan
what I was stoked about on Monday Night Raw commentary.
Let's talk about it.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Let's talk about the comments.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
Let's talk who was back in commentary action Tory Graves.
Toy Graves was.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
That we love us Cory Graves for so many reasons.
He's a fantastic commentary.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
I enjoy Pat McAfee. I do think Corey Graves is better,
I said, but I said, but I.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Don't disagree with you. I don't disagree with you.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
I mean like Pat McAfee, I think is great comic
relief as far as like sidekick wrestling commentary. Though Corey
Graves is fantastic he's really really good.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
I think the things that he adds when he is
playing the.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Heel commentator is very He brings a lot to a
lot to the table.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
He's always got a lot to say.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
He's never I feel like our problem with Wade Barrett
has been the inconsistencies of just like, are you a
bad guy commentator?
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Are you not?
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Like?
Speaker 2 (06:47):
What are we doing? Like?
Speaker 4 (06:48):
If you're going to be a heel, then be a heel.
If you're not, then be Michael Cole. And that's mine too.
Michael Cole's great.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Love Michael, but just pick I love rip Michael Cole.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Fred at Michael Cole like he's got the need more
we need, We need more of Michael colon tank tops.
So Michael Cole, if you're listening and watching, UH, throw
the tank top on.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Man, we weren't mad at it so well tattoos. Show
off the tattoos that.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
We didn't know you had until like a week or
two ago when you lost that bet to Pat McAfee.
You're in your zaddy area, man, Like throw us a
We'll even settle for a powder blue polo shirt or something.
I think he'd look pretty fantastic. And for uh, does
he dud smack down as well?
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Or is he just do.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
What's his name?
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Okay, I got you, Yeah, the guy who we always
forget what his name is.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
You're doing good.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
I mean, in my defense, I'm pregnant, so.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
And my defense, I'm pregnant by proxy.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
So is that how pregnancy rain works?
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Okay, it's transferable, you can catch it.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
So uh so yeah, yeah, I'm very happy that Corey
Graves was back. I think he's covering for Pat McAfee.
Don't know what's going on, might be some stuff going
on behind the scenes with him, but always while coming back,
Corey Graves with arms wide open, like Scott Staff from
Creed would do on the edge of a cliff.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
You know how he does? All right?
Speaker 4 (08:08):
You ready for the theory? Oh yes, okay, so ready?
So what do you got with Corey Graves back in
action on Monday Night Raw? Who did not wrestle that
night that you can think of? That's pretty much been
very active.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Give you a second, who didn't wrestle on WRAW? That's
been very active?
Speaker 4 (08:29):
How about now, I know you're gonna think I'm stupid,
but let's talk about when the airport lost Eland Americano's boots. Yeah,
and everybody got a close up of the boots. What
were the initials on those boots? Cig just saying makeup
(08:52):
can do wonders, we can hide tattoos. I believe in
this theory.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
So you're let me get this straight here.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
It makes me happy.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
You are theorizing, hypothesizing if I'm Mary that Corey Graves
might be el Grande Americano because we have not seen
the two of them in the same place.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
It makes me happy.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
So and never mind that CG also chad Gables full
fullywear I know initials as well.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
I feel like it's too easy at this point. I
feel like it's too easy that it's chad Gable. And
how much Michael Cole just drives the point home every
night on throwing Chad Gable under the bus. I am
fully aware it's probably chad Gable. But this theory makes
me happier because you're as much of a gimme.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Your definition of fully aware had better be the efficiency
of like it just disinfect and spray where it kills
ninety nine point nine percent of the germs.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
Like and it's nine to nine point nine percent chad Gable.
Thank you this point one Perc Graves makes me so happy,
it makes me so's taller than Jack Gable, and that
it's tam like makeup, just wonders. They have to cover
up all of Corey graves tattoos. So it could just
be with Tanner.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
What about Wade Barrett's theory that h Elgrande Americano and
Chad Gable have different nipples and he knew this, and
then Michael Cole was fighting him, just like, have you
been studying nipples? It's like, I do my research cold,
I'm a professional, and so I'm just like I wasn't
aware that you had to study the nipples of the
wrestlers when you're doing commentary.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Could okay, Well, if it's not Chad Gable and it's
not Corey Graves, who you think it is.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
If it's neither of them, I mean, I haven't considered
because I feel like there's.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
I'm on the one hundred percent side. If we're doing
the chant that.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
We heard grown adults chant in WrestleMania in the Stadium,
which was.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
That's Chad Gable. No it's not, that's Chad Gable. No
it's not. And my heart has.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Never been as full for resting to listen to.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
A bunch of American voters screaming such a ridiculous back
and forth.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
I want to interview and know it's not people.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
You want to know it's not people.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
I mean, they're just gonna say it is an American
luchador wrestler whom we don't know, and out of the
respect for the mask and lucha libre, should never know,
because that's the thing, is like taking off the mask
is an extremely disrespectful thing.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
To also just doesn't know Spanish.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Yeah, yeah, of course, absolutely yeah, and is the name
of a coffee, so yeah, El Grande Americano. Next time
you go to Starbucks, asks for the trag gable everybody,
you will not be disappointed, right So okay, wow, yeah
that is a that is I know you love Corey Graves.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I was today years old when I.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Learned how much you love Corey grave I think it's
an amazing the Hey, Corey put on the mask, man,
let's make it happen. I would love to see that
review so you can see the look on my face
when I'm wrong and inevitably, I mean, depending on the timing,
the labor inducing emotion.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
That you would spat our child to be out just
like I knew it. I knew it was Corey Graves.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Labor and Delivery. Fair enough, all right, all right, last
Corey Graves thing.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
I love that you've got a three parter in.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
The I do because I think it was like last
night or this morning. Have you seen the back and
forth with JD mcdonad and Corey Graves.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
You know I haven't.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Okay, beautiful, let's talk about it.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
I don't look at things so.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Poor JD mcdona always gets made fun of because of
the size of his dome.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yeah, JD, we love you. You were actually a very
underrated wrestler. You were way better than the judgment day.
You got a big nugget. My guy, that noggin is
who Yeah, no, he's like a mascot. He's his own bobblehead.
That guy, you know, he's a walking totsy pop. I
could keep going.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
I'm gonna stop you there. So anyway, so Corey Graves said,
it's not Jad's fault. He was born with the skull
of a minecraft character.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
That's brilliant. I thought, see that's another one. That's the
fourth one. That's good.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
That's what I wanted to stop you in case you
were gonna say it. So JD responded via post sometime
within the last twenty four hours. It's not my fault
that Corey gets benched every time Pat McAfee shows up
for work.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Either, oh man, shots fired, shots fired.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
I am here for it. I've been saying it for
a while. I want more commentary drama and I love you.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Do you really like it when the commentators get in
their hands dirty?
Speaker 2 (13:44):
So? So, did you care for Pat McAfee versus going third?
Speaker 4 (13:47):
No, because I didn't go anywhere, they didn't go anywhere.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Okay, so you're only mad that it stopped short. Yeah,
that was your problem. Okay, that's that's fair.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
I wanted it really more of it.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Did you like it when Michael Cole was a heel?
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Like were you into that era where he was like
heal Michael Cole and he was like reading the things
at the podium from the rag right and we ended
up being hornswoggle?
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Was it not?
Speaker 4 (14:11):
I believe?
Speaker 2 (14:11):
So? Yeah, that feels like a Vince mcmans always.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
He should not be named. Yeah, I mean I didn't
hate it. I like variety. I like the variety in it,
but I mean I also wonder, like when Michael Cole
was a heel, how much was based off of it's
well known at how like how much he got teased
behind the scenes. And so I think to like take
(14:38):
all of that pent up aggression into a character, it
made sense. It made sense at least.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
I mean, we weren't a fan of like when Jerry
the King Lawler had to get in wrestle or anything.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
I mean heart attack.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
There's a difference between being a heel and just being
a jerk and being a complete sexist.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Ass like you were not wrong, so wrong.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
So that and and also when it seems like that
heel is also in real life and there's no like
it's not two different people, it's a bigger problem to me,
that's fair.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
That's fair. I like that the announcers get their own
entrance music.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
That's always been a thing that makes me happy. Like
there was like a couple of times I think JR.
Had to get in the ring with somebody to have
a little squash match, and it was always like the
Oklahoma State like marching band.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
That was that was that was fun.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
So so yeah, and then I mean Pat McAfee is
let's go that's a fun one that the whole stadium
will be chanting and everything. And uh and inversely, our
son does love Pat McAfee.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Yes, he will, like I like him, and I think, like,
just expand your budget, just give us the three, give
us three we want.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
That's a solid three.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
I think that's the best three that could be had
in wrestling right now with Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Pat.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
Mcf I think it's very well balanced.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Yes, so yes, absolutely, I'm now taking the guy from
a SmackDown to me, he's always the guy who hosted Holy.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Moly, because our friend was on Holy Molly.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
And I'm like, oh, yeah, that's the guy that hosted
Holy Moly.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
So I don't know. I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Well, don't be sorry, now, I hear you. That was
all the Corey Graves and focus. That's all I got
for Corey Graves.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Segment has now ended of the show, everybody, So there
you go, all right, and you may proceed.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Thanks. Just a thing that I jotted down in my notes.
I'm really enjoying Solo Socoa as he's more entertaining now,
like he's more goofy, there's more character, Like okay, he
is I'm enjoying it more. I'm doing it more, especially
because I think, yeah, money in the bank when everybody
(17:06):
I think, right, it was everybody turned on Sethy got
set out of the ring, and then Solo was like
doing his little thing to Seth and then turned around
and everybody's at him, and just the over the topness.
I'm enjoying it, and the little.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Like, yeah, he's really leaning into more of like a
character as opposed to like when he came onto scenes,
it was more of like he was the muscle who
was always in the background, the intimidation.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Factor, and so yeah, now he's getting a.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Lot more personality, and now a lot of the factions
just need to split. I think that's what you know,
we've been saying that the judgment Jay needs to not
be a thing anymore because everybody needs to go on
their own way because they all could go their own
way with the exception of what's her face and the
tych the only one left.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Yeah, Raquel, So yeah, I mean she needs to figure
out her life, but everybody else in that faction is great.
And then adversely, I think, yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Everybody in the bloodline needs to needs to do their
own thing because Jacob Battou is so over, but him
just grabbing his leg on the ladder.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Like I hate you.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
That was so ridiculous And I only wish that he
had buttoned it with yadada mean, because he is making
yadada mean, Like all right, let me tell you all
a little story about the Bay Area in the nineties.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Y'all.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
We was out here and we were in the Hyphi movement,
and so YadA dada mean. That was that was our thing,
was saying yadada mean at the end of sentences, whether
we were in Sacramento and old sak I want to
say last year or the year after somebody sincerely said
we were walking by and they had a conversation. He
was like, you know, ya dada mean, and he like
(18:51):
end of the conversation that way. I was like, what
year is it right now? And so hearing Jacobato saying
yadada mean, I'm like, bring other slang in here, man,
drop a couple of mac dre references, pop your collar.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Let's go, you know. And that's what he's never gonna do.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
The fizz that's never gonna happen. We're never gonna get that.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
But I'm wondering if because they're seeing that people are
embracing like that of the character of Jacob Botwo and
like bringing in slang terms. It feels like more like
Solo's like, oh well, I'm from there too, so I
can kind of have my own little flavor to it.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
They should.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
And I mean, like Jacob Pottoo mean fizz face though
we will say if anybody's just like, what's a fizz face?
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Look at Jacob Patoo's face, just.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
That grimy facts, you know, like that's that's what that is.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
And so he's got a really good one.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
But yeah, Solo so really leaning in to adding an
extra layer to to his character.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
I don't hate.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
So I am interested to see and again if they
do break up and he's doing his own thing, if
Solo goes solo, if we can, But what names.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
The guy that they just brought in with the bloodline?
I know, but I'm just saying.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
I refuse to learn his name because because I mean,
there's there there there's a level of that where he
came in, and I'm just like, I mean, we're just
getting the plumber from down the street now to throw
in and be a wrestler, like so these people are
getting cut and this dude gets in like so yeah,
like I am not a fan at all of like
(20:29):
what he's done in ring him being kind of brought
into things on the outside and just like, yeah, okay, whatever, homie,
Like there's so many members of this family. It's just
like the cookout for this families get togethers must be insane.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
How big that's a that's a big cookout.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Well, speaking of that family, because everybody's mad that Jay
dropped the title. Yes, yes, here's and I am too,
but here's my thing. I feel like Roman Reigns's title
reiin gave everybody a false connotation of how title reigns
(21:09):
should be could be. I feel like it was a
beautiful thing. Respect it for what he did, but especially
like in the times that we grew up watching wrestling,
those title reigns were unheard of. It was very common.
Thirty to ninety days. People were dropping six months.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
It was a long run.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
Yeah, so there was a lot of shuffling of belts
going on. I think a while back I saw something
on social media that was like, you know, the everybody's
title reign and there've only been a handful that have
gone multiple years. Yeah, and so it becomes this big
thing once you clear a year to hang on to
the championship, you know. I mean Cody had it for
(21:51):
a year exactly almost so, so yeah, I mean there
is that degree. And I mean, but inversely, I've also
heard people on line over the years who talk about,
you know, having those quick switches. So it kind of
fulfills the need or the launch that people.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Have on that side of the coin.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
And then there's always going to be people who are
going to be crying boohoo. But I mean with this one, yeah, no,
I feel like there should have been a more clear
back and forth. I don't know if Guntherer retains against
Goldberg and then we get to revisit that again, because
I feel.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
Like the day would get his that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Well, that's the w let's talk about that.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Because you've got the King of the Ring and you
have Jay Is in the King of the Ring tournament,
and then you have Cody both. As far as I'm
understanding from being forever a professional wrestling fan, rematch clause
like you get the title gets dropped and you get
to be like I get my rematch clause.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
They've even mentioned that I was by name.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
On the air, like I get my rematch because the
rematch clause.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Well, and that's WHU got his exactly. He said, once
he's done with Pat, I want my.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Rematch, And so Jay should be entitled to a rematch,
Cody should be entitled to a rematch.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Why are they both in the King of the Ring
and where is Carrion Cross?
Speaker 3 (23:17):
What are we doing WWE Does money mean nothing to
you anymore? Like the dude is moving merch give him
the push? Why is he not in the King or
the Ring tournament? This is just ludicrous and not the
good kind like the rapper. So yeah, I mean I
think that though them both taking up space for other
(23:40):
talent in the King of the Ring tournament makes it
less interesting if either of them comes out on top
win in the King of the Ring tournament.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
I'm like, what are we doing?
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Man?
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Like this whole tournament feels like it was a wash
because if we could have just enacted the rematch clause,
what is the point of them being in the King
of the Ring other than to like drive up And
it's just like.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Hey, man, I feel like there are The thing.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
WV right now is just constantly just like, how do
we appeal to a wider audience, A wider audience, A
wider audience.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
I think there's a time and a place for that.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
I feel like it's your WrestleMania's, it's your summer slams,
your big flagship premium live events are the ones that
you're going to try and get those numbers, Like, all right,
how do we appease to a wider audience. There has
to be some quality control though, where it's like, Okay,
we've got this new audience, let's now make it where
we can focus in on this story, the developing these
(24:32):
folks and this talent over here, and how can we
make some add some continuity to the storylines that make
sense and give and also do a little bit of
fan service as well. But I think carrying Cross not
being in the King of the Ring Tournament is a big.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Miss, and then Jay and Cody being in it, to
me does not make any sense. I agree that I'm
off myself box.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Okay, my last thing. It's going to be me and
my soapbox. Probably going to lose some people on this,
and that's okay, okay, because I know we've talked about
how there's so many women in the roster who don't
get their time, and they should just get a weak
night on their own. They should, But in the event
that can't happen anytime soon, I have an idea.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
You have an idea for the women's roster kind of okay,
all right, because we've been saying, if anybody's a new listener,
that we think the roster is too deep and that
the women should have their own night.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
That way, you can leave the.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Premium live events for the title matches and then they
have their own night to where you can now function
it the same way you've always done with the men's roster,
to where you keep on developing the talent and get
to see who can shine.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
The women have been putting on better matches.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
They deserve their own night every week more so than
just like a premium live event with just them every year.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
They deserve their own.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Like weekly episodic show that's two or three hours, the
same as the men do. So okay, but you feel
like you've got a remedy to this ish ish kind
of of.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
So, because I think like especially all the up and
coming for the women, the female wrestlers need to have
their time. But for the rest of them to have
a thing that I think could be really fun and
it could just be a one off one year, doesn't
have to be a yearly premium event. If they brought
a couple of people back, which they have been high
in demand, they would have enough wrestling couples to fill
(26:40):
a premium live event to go against each other.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
So you're saying when you say wrestling couples, you were
saying that couples who are dating a lah like a
Seth Rollins and Becky lynch Rae Ripley and her fella
who is in a different company, you could bring him in.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
So, yeah, there's enough wrestling.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
So we have Bianca bell Air montes Ford that's right,
she's healed. We have Naomi and Jimmy, that's right. We
have Carry Carrie and Cross and Scarlet and we haven't
gotten to see Scarlett wrestle at all, but she is
a wrestler, not just a vallet. Give her her time.
If they were to bring back Maurice for just a
one off with miss give us Matt Cardona, like we
(27:20):
want to go with Chelsea Green. Everybody and their mama
wants a j Lee to come back. Give us an
aj Lee and CM Punk. We've never had that wrestling.
We've just had like their weird love story back and
then we have Russa back. Give us Lana.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Man, no good job, dere this is w W what
are you doing? Like, get on this. We need we
need the couple's chamber.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
And I wouldn't like.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Do it for like a Valentine's Day thing, like.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
The same Valentine's Day massacre and it's the couples, all
the couples.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
Oh my godness, come on. It gives a whole bunch
of the female wrestlers time, yes, and a lot of
them are OG's for the most part, so we don't
need like a whole bunch of story with them because
everybody already loves most of them. Yeah, and just give
us that. Give us that, and then that makes room
(28:15):
for more up and comings that deserve to have, like
a full title reign and storylines and everything like that
on some of the other shows. And give us this.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Easily one of the top five times I've been most
attracted to you.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
In our fifteen years of knowing each other.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Ye yes, yes, I mean like finding out you were
trying out for tough enough when we first met. That's
that's always going to be floating around the top three,
but this is quickly climbing the charts because.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
That is just a brilliant idea. Yes, I think so.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
I think it's fantastic. And like a lot of them,
we haven't gotten to see as a duo, so like
we know they're together, but we don't get to see
a lot of that dynamic. And I would love to
see that dynamic. And for as much as they've given
us Reality TV, when it comes to seeing them, you know,
like miss and Maurice, Bianca and Montez had their thing,
(29:06):
so we've seen a lot of them behind the scenes,
give us, give us oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
And I mean I think it's been fun.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
Seeing, you know, Jimmy and Naomi their little back and
forth that they've been having. But also Naomi just like
pulling the gloves off on social media talking about oh yeah,
talking about the back shots.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
The only back shots I get her from Jimmy.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
I think there was one she did the photo shoot
with the money in the bank briefcase, and it was
her sitting on top of Paba with her head up
and she was like me writing, Jimmy, it.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Was out there and I'm just like here for it.
Speaker 4 (29:45):
Yeah, I mean, well I remember when I think it
was Becky got the two belts and her and Seth
did that picture for social.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Media and the.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Books they just had the belts on. Yeah, hot, yes, yes, absolutely,
but yeah, so that's that's a thing I came up
with of just like, yeah, I think there's so many
couples and everybody wants the ones that are missing and
the couples to come back anyway. I don't think I've
seen a night that there wasn't an a j Lee sign.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
I mean, yeah, people have been wanting a leave for
years mac Radona. I mean he's been killing the game
and the independent circuit like he has been, and him
and Chelsea Green being together I think would also help.
I mean, Chelsea's been killing it and she's been amazing,
and I think her having to drop that US title
(30:39):
should only serve as that she deserves the higher up
belt like I see or the women's championship. But yeah,
I think that would be fantastic, a fantastic way to
bring him back, because I mean, like, can't you just
see there's gonna be mystery opponents against one couple, or
you could even do the mystery match, and that's when
(31:00):
you can have Chelsea Green's music hits, and then people are.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Gonna be like, oh, it can only be and then
you know, does.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
He woo woo woo.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Does he get or does he get his music that
he's got now, which is different?
Speaker 2 (31:12):
I believe, yeah, it is so.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
And then they come out and people are like, Oh,
this is crazy. And then see him Punk's music hits
and people are like, Oh, it's gonna be aj and
then he stops and then he like looks at his
watch and they're like, we.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Want a j.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Oh my, I'm so wet right now.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
This is fantastic. I love every second. Welcome. Oh that
gives me so much hope. All Right, y'all.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
If I think it's a fantastic idea, and I think
it's it's never been done before, it's never been done.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
No, it hasn't like that, and you have.
Speaker 4 (31:46):
Enough couples, you can do a whole, a whole thing
on it.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
If you're watching or listening to this podcast right now
and you're a wrestling fan, if you're not, literally what
are you doing here? But you need to get at
ww socials and we need to get this.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
Idea tag all the couples, all the couples.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Yeah, wrestle couples, you know, yeah, tag all your hashtag
wrestle couples, because yeah, we we need that to at
least be the Valentine's Day paper in the Valentine's Day
Live event.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
I think that only makes sense.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
And if you're looking for a way to creatively bring in,
like you said, the significant others who have been off
the roster recently and bring them in, I think that's
the way that you do it.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah, that's fantastic.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
There's enough of them. There's enough of them. And then
in a world that like Daniel Bryan and Brie come
back for a one off, like there's so much potential there.
So I think I listened off, like if they all
came back, it's like ten, ten or twelve couples.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Totally, totally, it can't be done.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
I'm okay with Daniel Bryan just being done. Yes, he
really should be done. I mean, great wrestler, the things
that he's.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Done, it's nothing against him, nothing against his body to hear.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
I literally just want him to be able to play
with his kids for as long as he possible can,
like as long as those kids can be played with,
Like I mean that, that's a big thing for me
with him is like, for your family's sake, I really
want you.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
You've done the work. You deserve a very happy right.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Off into the sunset with your family. And I would
hate for him to be creeping into a certain age
where he's like, oh no, I can't get around at
home anymore.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
His is purely just like that aspect of it, you.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
Know, Yeah, the rest of them, it's there, the rest there.
The money is to be made on that easily, easily.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
I love that. I love that. That's it.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
That's that's all I got. Those are my notes.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Okay, that's it. I love that. I love that. We've
covered a lot of good ground. We did, yes wholeheartedly.
Speaker 3 (33:43):

Speaker 3 (33:55):
And yeah, maybe we missed a couple. Is there another
wrestling couple that you would like to see come back?
Speaker 2 (34:02):
What are your thoughts on Corey Graves?
Speaker 3 (34:04):
You know, I mean, do you think Corey Graves is
El Grande Americano. I know, I know she's over here
really pounding the pavement, really hitting the mat here as
far as like, yeah, I was not expecting that one.
I know you you really covered sideline the sideline on
(34:24):
this this podcast though, because taking it from like one
end of the spectrum of just like are.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
You did you get hit in the head? Are you okay?
Speaker 3 (34:32):
With like the Corey Graves is ol Grande Americano angle,
all the way to the wrestle couple and the.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Fact that I covered all this in three days.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
It took me three day while also running the household
and momming and wife ing, and then doing half of
three quarters of the things on my aspect of my
career behind the scenes.
