the Indiana State Sanatorium down in Rockville, Indiana. It was an awesome experience.
We were given the tour by GhostHunts USA. You know, I
have a little bit of mixed feelingsabout that. I mean, they did
a fairly good job, but theyalso talked to you like your fucking kindergartener,
which annoyed the absolute shit out ofme. And it wasn't all of

the tour guys, it was onlya couple. But yeah. We're also
in an abandoned building in concrete roomsas well, so the devices we used.
We're in SB seven, which iskind of like a GeoPort. We
also used spirit boxes, all kindsof other pieces of equipment, and because
of that, there is a littlebit of echo because I recorded all this

on my phone, so you're goingto hear it like in real time,
our reactions. And what I'm goingto do is I'm going to play back
the audio. That's really good whenyou hear us responding to it, I
can add context and I can replaythe audio so that you can hear it
again. I am going to dothat for you as well. So,
like I said, it's way differentthan any paranormal episode I've done. I'm

really looking forward to hitting Ohio thissummer, so I can do another one

here and I will add some morecontext in a little bit of history and

tell you how all this went down. So buckle up, and I hope
you're ready to hear some pretty creepyshit. All right. So, Rockville,
Indiana is just about, I don'tknow, an hour west of Indianapolis.

(04:39):
It's super low key town, butthey do have the Indiana State Sanatorium.
In nineteen oh seven, this opensas the Indiana State Tuberculosis Hospital,
and in nineteen nineteen it changes tothe Indiana State Sanatorium. This was closed
in nineteen sixty eight and reopened ain nineteen seventy six as the Lee Allen

(05:01):
Bryant Healthcare Facility, which was anursing home, private mental hospital, and
it was an outpatient facility for peoplewith drug problems. So if you're going
there for your drug addiction or counselingor whatever. When I say outpatient,
like, they could sign themselves outand pretty much leave whenever they wanted to.
Obviously it was not that way withthe mental patients or the nursing home

(05:25):
patients. But unfortunately, there werea lot of deaths associated with this place
and it is super huge. Thereare tunnels connecting all the buildings and houses
to each other. That's also wherethey went to move bodies so that the
other patients wouldn't see them and shitlike that. So when I got my
night started, I think we gotthere at about seven or eight. Everything

(05:47):
starts at about eight thirty or nine. So I'm in a group and you'll
hear my friends that I was ina group with in the audio. So
I had my buddy Boone, hiswife Savannah, and then two of her
friends, a girl named Kelly,and then Kelly's son, Damien, and
then there was me. So Booneloves going haunted places with me. Savannah's
gone to him and Savannah have bothgone to a couple different locations with me,

one of which being the Monroe Housein Hertford City, Indiana. That
was a crazy experience all in itself. So what they do is they start
at like eight thirty or nine.They give you a little bit of tour.
You're with like different tour guides everytwenty or twenty five minutes, and
then after about an hour or sohour and a half, you get free

(06:33):
range. You can go wherever youwant. You can use all the equipment
because they provide this equipment for youif you don't have your own. So
I'll just show a picture ID andcan go grab yourself an sp seven or
a spirit box or anything that youpretty much want, and you're allowed to
go anywhere. And to top thisoff, the night that we went,

(06:53):
it was a straight up lightning thunderstormand it was perfect Like it looked like
a fucking horror movie walking around inthis building. So the main building is
about five stories. First story weresome of the rooms. I believe that
was where some of the nursing homepatients or outpatient you know, drug patients
were and stuff like that. Andthen you had the second floor. I'm

not exactly sure how the second floorworked. When you got to the third
floor, that was for women whowere violent or had mental illness. The
fourth floor was for men who wereviolent against women, and that fucking floor
actually had padlocks on the outsides ofthe doors, like when they locked them
up, they locked them up.And then the fifth floor was for the

(07:39):
criminally insane, all bullshit aside.We got most of our activity on the
fourth floor, but we did havea little bit of stuff everywhere else.
There wasn't as much on the fifthfloor. We got a little bit of
spirit box we're hitting some AMFM frequencieswith that. We did get two intelligent
responses up there. But the fourthfloor, I mean I probably twenty twenty

five minutes of straight audio which we'regoing to be going through and everything like
that. So how it goes isand this is adding context to the situation.
So at one point we're down inthe morgue and when I get to
the fourth floor audio, I willpoint this out because between each audio clip,
I'm going to, like I said, probably replay it and then add

context and stuff like that. Andagain this is in real time, so
you're going to hear us and ourresponses to it. And there is some
comedy going on because there were somethings that were said by these spirit boxes,
and you know, and we werekind of cracking up and we were
kind of trying to keep it lighthearted. We had a couple of stragglers that

joined our group who were freaking outand everything, because at a certain point
in time they start calling me outby name on the spirit box, and
they also referenced that I was fromSally's house. And for those of you
who are long time listeners, youknow that I stayed at the Sally House
and Atchison, Kansas, back inI believe, twenty nineteen, and that

was a whole situation in itself.So as soon as you hear that come
through the spirit box or whatever.Obviously there were some people. Cammy Parker,
by the way, she was theretoo. I can't believe I forgot
her. She flew in from WashingtonState. She was actually at Sally's house.
So when this box says justin fromSally's house, she fucking freaks out.

Not huge freak out, but prettylegit. And don't get me wrong,
I was like, what the fuckdid that thing just say. But
at a certain point in time,we are down in the Morgue area again,
just like at Sally's house, everybodystarts grabbing these fucking dowsing rods and
I don't grab any and I'm standingthere and it's the same thing that happened

(09:54):
to the Sally House. All ofthem start pointing to me, and remember
there's like twenty people down here inthis morgue area where they kept a bunch
of hospital records. And of coursethe tour guide is like, this is
horseshit. You know, somehow you'recontrolling the narrative, and I'm like,
I can't fucking manipulate everybody in thisroom. I don't know what you're on.

(10:16):
Like, I'm not a manipulator.I'm fucking standing here right now.
And of course my buddy Boone islike, yup, this is why we
love coming places with this dude man, because everything always happens. It got
to the point where the tour guidedidn't experiment, and I would change positions
down here in this basement, andno matter where I went, everybody's dowsing

(10:37):
rode started following me. Okay,I don't put much stock in dowsing rods,
I really do not. I'm nota huge fan of them. I
mean, even when I hold them, they will legitimately turn and point at
me even if I'm holding them.So it's just one of those weird things.
And of course the rest of thewe're in a bigger group. This

is before we were let to godo stuff on our own, so we're
in a pretty big group. There'sabout fifteen twenty people, and of course
a couple of people like freaked outand we're looking at me weird. And
the tour guide started doing the littleexperiment, and the dowsing rods just kept
following me around everywhere, and sheis like, what the fuck, man,

like, what is going on?And I straight looked at her and
I said, Hey, I'm aninteresting guy. And the reason I tell
you this story is because about fivefucking hours later, one of the voices
comes through and it'll say the reasonthat they like me so much is because
I'm an interesting guy. And thenyou'll hear another voice come through that's really

dark, really deep, and itsays his soul, you know, because
my friends are like, well,why is he an interesting guy? And
you hear his soul? And wewill get to all that audio. But
I had to kind of set upwhat we were doing here, so after
that we were allowed to go.They were actually Cammy down in the morgue.
She had to leave because she justshe started feeling sick. Very nauseous.

She ended up leaving. She wentoutside and just sat like in the
grass across the street for probably twentyor thirty minutes. And all bullshit aside
too, Like, when you're walkingaround this property, it is one of
those places that is surrounded by woods, so when you're walking around, man,
it almost feels like just people arestaring at you from the woods,

like something is constantly watching you.And I will say, we covered every
square inch of this place, allthe buildings, everywhere, So what you
were going to hear is the bestaudio that we captured from that entire night,
from nine thirty pm until about fouro'clock in the morning. So let's

get this shit started here first.One up is this what they call the
hallway Experiment. So the Hallway Experimentis on the first floor and we just
kind of hang out in there andwe have all of our backs to a
room and we're sitting in a chairand it's pitch fucking black. You cannot

see anything. We're doing all theselittle experiments, and even the guy across
the hallway from me kept saying,man, I keep hearing those noises coming
from your room, and I'm like, yep, I fucking hear him too,
And it wasn't from behind me.It was actually sounded like it was
from like inside the wall or somethinglike that. And it would just knock

and it would like tap. Youcould hear it in successions of three,
so it'd be like tap tap tap, and I kept hearing like heavy breathing
behind me and shit like that.This audio is not very long, but
it'll give you an idea of kindof what we experienced in like the real
time format and all of us inour reactions. And this is still done

with a tour guide, like Isaid, so you'll hear the tour guide
going off. Do you do somethingthat maybe my friends could see? Did
you maybe let us see your shadow? Yeah? They whispered down? You
heard it down that? What didit sound like it? Could you make
it out? Man? That fuckingrugs killed me? Okay, so we

got whispers down this whilllight. Oh, I can hear breathing and knock and
like constantly in this one sounds yeah, yeah, hear it again. Yeah,
it sounded like a wind whistle,like a like a high pitched no.

(14:48):
I heard like a deep breath,like somebody breathed in through their mouth,
all right. So, like Isaid, it's not very exciting,
but that'll give you an idea ofsome of the conversations that we were having
in real time. And I'm ahuge skeptic, but I'm also an open
minded individual. Because I grew upin a haunted house, I do believe

in the paranormal, but I'm alsovery, very skeptical. Now, given
the history of this place, wealready know a shillow to people died in
it. And one of the saddestthings about it too, is when it
was a tuberculosis hospital. Let's sayyou were a single parent and you had
a couple of kids and you gottuberculosis. Well, your kids lived with

you at the hospital, and therewas always a really good chance that they
were going to also get tuberculosis,which is completely fucked up. But the
kids didn't have anywhere to go.So after we do the whole way experiment,
I think that was the last thingthat we did before we were set
loose. And like I said,I'm a huge skeptic, but I swore

up and down. The guy acrossthe hall from me was like, dude,
I hear so much shit. Healso said he kept seeing a shadow
figure behind me as well. Thatpersonally does not bother me. It is
what it is. I play nicewith my demons, whatever the case might
be. So yeah, it wasdefinitely an interesting experience and that pretty much

set the pace for the rest ofthe night. So the next part that
we go into is on the firstfloor as well, and it is the
lunch room in cafeteria, and we'resitting in there and there's a big group
of us because again we're with atour guide, and you can hear the
tour guide, Regina. She wasactually really, really cool. I liked
her quite a bit. And you'llhear a lot of times in this audio

the name Zach come through. That'simportant because even later on, hours later
in the night, when we're ona completely different floor, completely different situation,
we can still hear these spirits talkingabout somebody named Zach who apparently was
a nurse there, who apparently wasnot a very good guy. We don't

know. I tried look up records. It was a fucking state hospital.
I can't find shit. They dohave a lot of the records, like
still in the administration building. Andtrust me, I rooted through these doctors
drawers and shit, because when thisplace is closed, it closed immediately.
And I believe it closed in twothousand eleven or twelve, yeah, in

two eleven, and it closed suddenly, and that's why all this ship was
left behind. So here is ourexperiences with the lunch room. And like
I said, when we do hearaudio come through, I will stop,
I will replay it, and Iwill add context as necessary. So spirits

which was fucking crazy. It's like, no fucking way, man, these
ghosts are fucking enjoying whoppers and shit, and I think that's all right.
I know anything else? I knowanything else. And as you could hear

right there, that was super clear. We were sitting there bludgeoning this thing
with questions and it just got silent, and that voice come through and says
anything else. And as you heard, we all heard the same thing.
So that was that was pretty fun. I guess you could call fun.

but we kept hearing a voice keptsaying the name Sarah when we were asking

us throughout the course of the nightask to, you know, see if
those people were still there. Butwhen we asked if Sarah was still there,
we heard the voice come through saypublic relationship or public relations something like
that. And then you hear anothervoice come through right after that says consensual.
It's a really weird Let me backtrackhere just a second so you guys

on the fourth floor. We raninto a lot of conversations that sounded like
between each other, so it waslike we were there, but they were

just carrying on with their conversations.And that's why the tour guide is like
sounds like something residual, because it'slike they're having a conversation without even no
one we're around. And I'm gonnago ahead and rewind that real quick so

like okay. So this is aninteresting part because there were three or four
people that heard a female humming justlike m just like a grandma type hum

come through and say it's me.It's really really wild, and I hope
you guys can decipher this. It'spretty pretty awesome. It's me. I
was learning about because someone is hearinglike a female like a go and I

or I feel like it was likeright here between us? What's for dinner
tonight? I am literally just Idon't want to repeat what I did.
I desarted, No, it's good. It better not be good. What

And it is interesting because when youlisten to it, which we're gonna rewind
it real fast, it does soundlike your face and then kind of goes
on for a few seconds and thenyou hear it's good. Let's replay that

One of the better intelligent, clearerresponses that we got. You can hear
us say, you know, Zacha guest or is he a kid here?
Or is he a nurse? Andyou can hear the voice say he's
a nurse here, nurse the doctor? Who? All right? So that

was the lunch room, and thatwas what set the pace, and that's
why we wanted to use that pieceof equipment for the most part through the
rest of our investigation. But anyway, that's at the pace right there for
how the rest of our night wasgonna go. And we got some really
clear, intelligent responses down in thelunch room. So that brings us to

the third floor. And like Isaid, third floor was for the women.
It was for women who were violent, women who had mental health problems
and stuff like that. And thetop three floors, the third, fourth,
and fifth floor were the court orderedfloors. Those are the ones that

people who were either criminally insane orextremely violent against men or women. That's
where they were housed. And everysingle one of these floors they had padlocks
on the outsides of the door,so like when they were locked the fuck
up, they were locked up.And I mean that's they had suicides on
this property because people were ripping downthe wire, caging around the windows,

and just straight jumping out and shitlike that. It was pretty wild.
But before we get to this thirdfloor, let's go ahead and take a
