Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, listener, I am Josh. I work on the editing
for Mythical Misfits. I'm interjecting here really quickly to let
you know that in the following intro for this week's episode,
the Mythical Misfits themselves were in the middle of Batcher
Courdy multiple episodes in one evening. Thus they accidentally refer
to this episode as episode ten, which is incorrect. I

(00:23):
only give this disclaimer because I kept the intro in
that you'll hear right after this, which was well worth it,
So please forgive them. They didn't put their stats that
high in intelligence Enjoy.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Episode ten.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
I didn't know we were doing that. I missed out.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
I pointed at you gave you all your harmony?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Can you do it again?

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Episode ten?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:54):
All I said was ten because I didn't know we
were starting out seven ten.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
I'm gonna lie I would make for a pretty interesting opening.

Speaker 6 (01:02):
It's like mythical mythical mythical.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
I like that. Let's try it. Let's try it. Okay,
mythical mythical miss Welcome to the new episode of Mythical Misfits.
Everybody enjoy. You're all walking in the Orc camp surrounded

(01:35):
by orcs that are cheering you on with great gusto,
Kyle for having defeated their warrior in single hand combat unarmed.

Speaker 6 (01:46):
Behold the head of your queen. Who the fuck leedger
can spik?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Sorry, and Allen looks at you, Lucas, this is still
going on. Just go with it.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
It's almost also right, were walking right, Yeah, I'm like
staying shore. They're getting a little closer and I almost
step in like behind her so that way I can
just get strained her ear and like really whispering like yeah.
So I did reconnaissance and they have what seems to
be like a supply house thing, a little armory. I

(02:20):
don't see anything for like a midical, but they seem
to have a couple of things here. So if we
had to make an escape plan, we can. I want
to tell this to Krom too, but I just want
to give you ears first.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
This is very much clearly a strike force. They are
she kind of leans back. They are much farther down
the mountains than they're supposed to be there, out of
their territory, and the Crown would not be happy about this.
Don't get me wrong, I don't exactly love the Crown myself,
but this is very much in violation of their treaties.

(02:56):
So I don't know exactly what the planning, but it's
it can't be good.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I mean all there for you know, all this is
made of wood, so it's not hard to take it away.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, it was very much put together very recently.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I think I am going to go report to Master Crumb, okay,
and I kind of step out from her, like out
from behind her, and I kind of jog up the Crumb.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
You guys are all heading towards a portion of the
camp that appears to have wooden cages set up, and
as you get closer, you see there is a single
figure in one of them, and it appears to be
a dwarf in male. It seems to be sitting on
the ground, arms bound with a rope. Silver streaked, black beard,

(03:42):
braided tightly adorned with small iron rings, face weathered blue eyes.
He stares at you as you approach. The chieftain looks
at you, Crumb, and he goes these who are looking
for as a member of small cammp that gets in

(04:04):
our way, So we kill most some wrong way. This
one left. We have now his showers to do with.
You may speak to him, but no, take.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Okay, and Cromwell walk towards the cage and sit down
on the ground in front of it, and then speaking
toward him.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
The spirit looks at genius. Of course I can speak here?
Are you all? Crime? Naxt to meet you? Chrome? It's
naice to meet someone who's walking around this camp with
a bunch of fucking freedom while I'm sitting here in
the mud, hands pound asking the waterble neat.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
To desire what kind of stupid question is that?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Of course I desire freedom.

Speaker 6 (04:56):
Don't will answer my questions?

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Oh so you can guarantee freedom for me?

Speaker 6 (05:02):
Us? My word has best at One of.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Us looks a little surprised at that, and he goes,
what do you want to know?

Speaker 6 (05:11):
What does the order desire to do?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
That's a big question, Globelood, get these offrom my arms
and I'll tell you.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
Possess tools. Answer question.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Well, considering I'm the only fucking one with the information,
I think I am in position to make deals, don't
you think? OsO hard.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
Chancellor and starts to walk away.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
He doesn't do anything. He just kind of grunts and
puts his arms down.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Okay, well that didn't work on one inspect and shout.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
You come back right, cron Yeah. I put my hand
up as if I was asking for permission to speak spots.
I walk up to h I crouched on one knee,
and I like, lower my head to your ear, put
my hand on your shoulder and and gobblin.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
I go.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Hey. So I did some scouting while they were fighting.
They have a storage cash just outside of here, and
they have what seemed to be a little armory, and
I looked around for wash howers. I didn't notice anything.
But they are heavily armed, and they are far outside
of their reach according to the treaty, so they're not
supposed to be here. So also, if you don't know,
if you know this is all me, it would so
we need to make it disappear very quickly. We can't

(06:37):
what Also, if he needs to get out, I have
a dagger. I can drop it.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
In there trussle style.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
There them let's go.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Hey, Wow, my name's Darlin. Hey, okay, I'm happy to
help you if you help me. As you can tell,
kind of raises his arms up to off the ropes,
tying his wrists. I'm not exactly comfortable here. Sure, help

(07:07):
me out and I'll help you moment, and the orc
chieftains and goes, what speak jamn.

Speaker 7 (07:17):
Little stopping so they don't want to information and ask
for freedom.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Ah, he says, no, stop whindening all the time, complain
the widening white White looks at the dwarf and goes,
you're a baby, and the dwarf shouts back, and it's like, what,
you're a bustard And they just start kind of shouting
at each other. The or chieftains shouting in Orc. The
dwarf is shouting and Dwarf they don't understand each other.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I was like this whole time, they snarling, which how fuck.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
We would be in so much trouble?

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (07:53):
And then do you speak fae by chance? Well?

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah, okay, do you speak Faine?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Okay, I speak fa.

Speaker 7 (08:01):
How to what the We're gonna talk about that later,
A lot of things later, rum uh, when I do
the permission?

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Probably? So do we want to get this guy out?
Do we leave him here?

Speaker 6 (08:18):
I'm not a kind of want to tell him out
about there's a lot of throats.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Okay, come in, you go over there and talk to him,
say that I'm an interrogator or something. We'll figure it out.
If you want to know. We gotta figure it out.

Speaker 6 (08:34):

up my head. I just like people actually do.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
But what she kind of leans to do to you
and kind of looks at the orc chieftain who's just
like staring at you, guys. But he's looking at you,
not as if you were a threat, but just like
as if you would watch a colony of ants, and
she leans out. She goes, what, I would.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Rather just kill this man here if I can one
in the cook Yes, oh, I'm assuming he's related.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
She looks up at him and she goes, did you
buy any chance you know, poison my fucking logging camp?
She screeps screams at him, and the orc Chieftain's like, ooh,
Darlin in the cage.

Speaker 6 (09:34):
Goes, ooh, you're spicy.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
He says in Common, and she goes, I will kill
you right now, and she starts to like lift up
her bow, and then the orc chieftain like puts it sound.

Speaker 6 (09:45):
He's like stop.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
She goes, she looks at you, crumb, if this man
caused the problems for my friends and hurt my friends.
I'd rather just kill him now.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
I see in Goblin. So the choices yours. Either we
signed with or we side with this random door.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
Cromwell respond to Goblin. I did not, don't. That's what
go thus far?

Speaker 3 (10:11):
I don't either. How are we.

Speaker 6 (10:15):

Speaker 3 (10:16):
I say, master, I say, love, go ahead, ad I say,
I say, in faye, what's your plan?

Speaker 2 (10:24):
She looks at you and responds back in faith to
put an arrow through his eye socket.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Preferably hold off on that just a minute, I say

Speaker 6 (10:33):
To kill him. I love password.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
In Goblin, Goblin, he slips in common, do I have

we're saving your ass. Shut the fuck up.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I'm not saving yours.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
I'm saying, Goblin, is he worth the time?

Speaker 6 (11:40):
Hold on DM and it crom turns to the chief.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
Can I roll more society to talk to this dwarf
and try to see to level with him on I
just need to know did you were you part of
the reason why this lodging can't burn down?

Speaker 2 (12:00):
That wouldn't be society. What would that be? Persuasion?

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Intimidation?

Speaker 2 (12:04):
In two you can try intimidation.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
I'm try intimidation investments, all right, So udo a verse card.
I'm going to grab the wooden cage. Yeah, I'm gonna
muster all the fury I possibly can without raging, all right,

(12:26):
about whether he was involved with the lodging camp or not.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
There's a twenty one What do you say to him?

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Did you burn down the lodging camp? Did you hurt
those people there? Because if it's a yes, things are
not going to go the way any of us want.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
He stands up and for a dwarf, he's not tall,
but he's very thick, you know, he's very wide, he's
got a thick chest and he kind of he gets
up right up to the bars and looks, goes, I
didn't bob down ship. And now if the logging camp
was near the ruins, then maybe we had something to

(13:09):
do with that. But that's none of your bud's nice.
But if you want to know more, get me out
of here.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
Definitely hers.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
He looks at Alien. He goes, how about you keep
that on the quiet, and that pisses her off. She's like,
I'm gonna put their own his head.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Cromwell turn to the chief boss.

Speaker 7 (13:33):
He looks, he goes, this man for at suita, man's retroblution.

(14:05):
Don't know who's whispering flame name.

Not no week.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
You talk to my God and you take him he's
pain and us any ways, all of you now, doctor,
our God does lots to show you. And you put
this massive hand on your shoulder and it's a weight.

(14:34):
It kind of presses you down into the mud a
little bit, goes fructure your spirit, so you grow stronger.
You are strong. Kind of looks at you, Kyle looks
at you, Lucas and el goes you are strong in
your own way. But Weekstoll need to be rebuilt after broken.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
I have twenty two gold pieces in my pouch. Offer
him ten gold pieces for the dwarf and see if you.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
If you shut.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Ten gold pieces, see if you'll take it.

Speaker 6 (15:21):
Little folks have the nerve to split a lot of time.

Speaker 8 (15:27):
I can't figure.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
Why is his slave rope play?

Speaker 7 (15:35):

like follow me?

Speaker 6 (16:05):
Follow?

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Yeah, and he starts to walk away.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Cram will follow should I break the door faut.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
He takes you only about twenty or thirty feet away
deeper into the camp and you see a large like
mess hall area where makeshift tables have been set up
and there's probably a good dozen do or orcs here,
maybe two dozen, and they're all feasting with fires, roasting
meat and you know, hitting shields, and there's a few

(16:34):
fighting off to the side, fist to fist, just having fun,
you know, kind of a a row. And he looks
at you and he goes cow. Would gold feats and
make bed out of this? Look around. We have all
we need except one thing, conquering a weaker people. Gold

(16:57):
will not help that. No, God's no good here. Only
the spread of ronne matters. You're not interesting speaking to
varant you and all your people then commit to blood

(17:18):
oath instead to the d'Or vas. We take that, You
take dwarf. Your choice.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
I didn't want to interrupt. I hunt pray the dwarf
Before we leave, Mark right looks at you.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Come. You're not stupid man, But choice is yours. Which
choice is smart? Only time will tell. But the shattering
one will destroy everything you know, whether you want it
or not, before rebuilding it into something new. You may

(17:55):
talk to him before he does or not. Your choice
really will not, but really will talk. That is your studures.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
It's the deal. Chrome and Cromwell return.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah, he walks back as well that's in goblin.

Speaker 7 (18:19):
Okay, so I'm not conferred, but I'm assuming guys, I
don't have a god.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
I don't either.

Speaker 6 (18:30):
This is a perfect time, I know if you who's offer?

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Um?

Speaker 6 (18:33):
So wait, real talk?

Speaker 4 (18:36):
What I need to know before I say yes? I
need to know what this god is about.

Speaker 6 (18:42):
That's a friend of the Probably I need to shop around.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
What is this god's name for? Runs recall knowledge lore?
Let's see what would that be? That would be lower religion.
I think.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
Shop around is such a customer thing to say.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Seriously, seven, you don't know. You've heard whispers of orun
but you're not a religious person, so you don't know.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Is the is the dwarf still there? By the way, Okay.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
Cool master, specify if all or one of us needs
to do this.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
I think you told me he wants all of this
all of us. Wait him, not me. You can talk
to him like that, not me. I'm nice. I feed you. I.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Alen collapses onto the ground, onto her button, kind of
sits down.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
She goes.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
And kind of pushes up and embraces herself and stands
back up, and she goes, sorry about that.

Speaker 7 (19:48):
Okay, So what's the blood of.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
I don't know I was that road.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
I'm all for that thirty orcs.

Speaker 6 (20:02):
That's why it's not.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Just that.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Well, you have to remember that I believe orcs can
see you in the.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Dark very well. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
I'm not an Ornarissa, and I can do that. We
can infiltrate this place. I already did reconnaissance.

Speaker 6 (20:15):
If we want to do that, yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Yeah. I I turn around and I kind of like
squat down next to Ross and put my arm Alen, Alen,
my goodness, Narissa, that's your god correct my apologies.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
I squat down next to Allen like assist her up,
and I say in faye, hey, we're leaving. But I
think you and I just got to listen to a
night raid to assassinate that dwarf. We could do it now,
but they would know and then we would have the
entirety of the you know, orcs against us, and we're
kind of trying to befriend them right now.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
She looks at you, and very seriously in her eyes,
she goes, I don't know if I ever did me
To be honest with.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
You, I'm and ask you a serious question, and I
need to be honest about it. Are we walking?

Speaker 2 (21:04):
No?

Speaker 6 (21:05):
No, we're still My face is still in the mud.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
I say, do you want to start walking? Because I
have her up and I think we need to start moving.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
Let's let's let's move from.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
As you start to walk, was like, hey, what are
you good?

Speaker 6 (21:17):
What are you good? What? No? Shot me?

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Interfere?

Speaker 6 (21:23):
What do you need?

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Come here? Come here? Start talking? Do you come up
to the cage, What do you need?

Speaker 8 (21:28):
What are you looking for? You're here for a reason. No,
people don't walk into a northern contment for me for
what reason?

Speaker 2 (21:34):
What are you here for? Why? Why are you in
the mountains?

Speaker 6 (21:37):
Well, so like pull up the map and open it.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
There map, Yeah, and his eyes kind of like you've
been doing the camp? You've been doing a camp? Why?

Speaker 6 (21:51):
And it was it was it.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Was yeah, no ship, But why were you there?

Speaker 6 (21:56):
It's a little this temper.

Speaker 7 (22:00):
Those were following tracks through that battle.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
The temple, you meaning with the water, and that was us.

Speaker 6 (22:09):
That was us.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Get me out and I'll tell you why that.

Speaker 8 (22:15):
I don't know if I'll survived you tonight. I don't
have choice with that talking monsters, dude, everything that can't
make it like live miserable. I've eaten in two days.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Look one more role, shun a bitch. I'm hungry, I'm thirsty,
I'm tired. Why are they're telling you to get me out?

Speaker 7 (22:36):
So the water to convert about? That's how that's the trial.
So pretend how they pretend that through a blood? Oh
that's an actual cat.

Speaker 8 (22:45):
That you say convert or blood o those are two different.
Thanks you just said converts. I'm not understanding what you win.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
The dice comack. I start walking with her just I
think we're gonna cromp. Can we can we leave the camp?
I think she needs attention.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
Outside and I start walking.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
I start walking, I get.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
On my knees because down in level with you seeing goblin,
he asked us to either convert us three talk to
his God and convert, and then afterwards he mentioned if
not talk to God, do.

Speaker 6 (23:27):
The blood oath?

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Did he ask you guys to convert? No?

Speaker 3 (23:30):
I think talk to his God. To talk to his.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
God, I'm not to get his attention.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
That's at least let's see how far we can get.
If it gets too hasty, too crazy, that's figure it out.

Speaker 6 (23:45):
D O try all right? Instead of.

Speaker 7 (23:57):
Talking to I saw offer to talk to their job
has proven himself has earned the route.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
He kind of looks at you with a surprising look
of understanding on her face for an orc, and he goes.

Speaker 9 (24:11):
No, fuck, oh you your warrior and the boy not
the worm one.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
She seems in jar. She tries she will die. No
one that in jarge should do this trial, all right?

Speaker 6 (24:29):
So I thought was gonna have to do it.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
I'm gone, I'm walking lee out Alan, I'm horrible.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
I'm fuck up?

Speaker 3 (24:39):
What language? Language?

Speaker 6 (24:52):
What? I pick up a leaf?

Speaker 1 (24:56):
You just service up?

Speaker 3 (25:02):
No I, I, I yell out and goblin. I'm like she,
I don't think she has a lot of time left.
I'm gonna take her outside and just lay her down
an come.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Her rough, okay, And she says I'll be all right,
And she kind of gestures to where some benches are
and she's like, I'll sit there. She straightened herself up.
I'll be fine. I just need to heal more so
it don't have been a couple of days since these injuries.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
I sit her down and I put my last room
leaning looks her of life in her.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Hand, and she looks up at you. Are you sure
about that?

Speaker 3 (25:39):
I'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
She nods and pockets it.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
I get up and I jog back to crom Okay.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Master, can I take my too elixirs of life?

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (25:54):
Have my boet and tops up?

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Can you also roll to uh medicine on me?

Speaker 6 (26:02):
Oh, I thought I should have done.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
That's you.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
And five total.

Speaker 6 (26:09):
Okay, the chieftain ask you what doing meddlesin on my war?

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Ah? There He walks up to the cage and he
leans over and looks at the dwarf and he says
in Orcish, he says, you are on the rumble and
deserve to die. And the dwarf is like, I don't
understand what the hell you're saying, but I hit the

(26:35):
way your face looks.

Speaker 6 (26:37):
Okay, we'll talk real, we'll talk to the dob is.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Alan stole your bar. She's on the bench. Yeah how
far she Yeah? I yell and fae, don't kill him.
I know you're thinking about it. Give us a minute.
She kind of looks up at you, and she was
like bracing her side. She looks up and she goes, fine,
I'll just kill him later. It's all right you you
might actually be able to seriously, this is something we're

(27:05):
trying to work out. Give me a minute, be nice.
I'm kidding. So what's the plank to a job?

Speaker 2 (27:15):
What the fuck? What?

Speaker 6 (27:18):
I wasn't on my bungo lost?

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Well, all right, where do we go?

Speaker 6 (27:24):
LUs rural?

Speaker 2 (27:28):
He looks down at you and smiles. Follow me, and
you need to walk over to the area that the
their warrior came out of that tent. There's a few
tents sitting there. They all are exuding smoke and steam,
and he goes, well, we begin, and he barks out
a command that says arrive. You know, crom that's it's

(27:51):
like arrive or show up or you know. That's generally
the understanding of it. And another Orc shaman comes out
of one of the tents as the smoke and steam
billows around him, and the Orc chieftain looks at you
and he goes, these, she's drug nak the wise. He
will take you to war on. May you be shattered

(28:17):
in a thousand pieces before you return, And the chieftain
turns around and walks away. We cut to each of
you being in your own little sweat tent, with that
shaman having come in and given you a I wouldn't
even call it a tea. Because it was a cup

(28:38):
with various herbs, spices, and mushrooms mixed and smashed in
there and hands it to you to drink.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
When I'm wrong, all.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Right, Crume drinks it. You don't even feel the metal shards.
What about you two? I drank it.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
I hesitant. You said it's like a paste or like
a drink.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
It's mixed with both.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
I like, I guess. I just take my fingers and
like scoop it as if I was scooping something out
of the dirt and scooping into my mouth with my fingers.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
And the shaman kind of puts his hand on the
bottom of the cup and indicating for you to drink
the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Okay, I just knock it back.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Then neither of you feel the metal sharks begins to
affect you relatively quickly. As your vision blurs and turns
to black Kyle, you find yourself standing in the middle
of a snow covered battlefield fantastic, the ground littered with
broken weapons and shattered armor. Ethereal voices mock you from

(29:39):
the shadows. As a snowstorm intensifies, you see your reflection
in a large and cracked mirror. The mirror shows you
that you're clad in your mother's ceremonial shaman robes, holding
her staff. Your axe lies at the base of the mirror,

(30:00):
just out of reach. From behind the mirror, a voice
echoes out a hand waves. Spectral warriors emerge from the
snow surrounding you. They resemble figures from your past, including
the ice Fangs who mocked you as a child. They

(30:20):
laugh at you, pointing at the robes you wear, and
taunt you. Cutting deep, make me a will say eighteen.
You feel yourself begin to become frightened, reliving that moment
from your childhood, but you're able to hold it back.

(30:42):
The mirror begins to glow and shift, showing you different forms.
One has a powerful, armored warrior wielding your axe, surrounded
by enemies that you've defeated. The other a humble figure
still in shaman robes, standing along alongside Krom and Lucas.

(31:04):
Then suddenly, your reflection shatters. The fragments form a twisted
version of yourself. Two of them, one embodiment of brute strength,
armored in wielding your axe. The other figure a shaman
like figure wielding a staff to begin to attack you.

(31:24):
What reflection do you focus on to defeat. It's a defeat.
Uh huh a shaman all right, and needs you to
make another will save It's going to be a twenty
two two. As you begin to fight the shamanistic figure,

(31:45):
you find out that it is not your strength that
is able to defeat it, but your willingness and your
power to overcome the experiences of the past. After defeating
the reflection, it shatters and falls, and the other one
falls as well. The ground beneath you begins to quake
and crack. A massive crevasse opens up, and through the

(32:08):
swirling snow and wind, you see your companions, Cramm and
Lucas dangling precariously on the edge, their hands gripping the
icy ledge, and above you, a spectral ice. Fangs materialize
in the whirlwind, their laughter echoing as a haunting chorus.
In your hands, suddenly you find the staff, your mother's staff,

(32:29):
the symbol that you held on to for so long
as an embarrassment of what you wanted to be, running
out into battle ready for combat, only to find a
shaman staff in your hands. However, the staff you carry
is long, light, steady strong. Your axe, however, is embedded

(32:51):
in a frozen block of ice nearby, heavy and immovable.
You hear a voice echoing in the background. Which will
you be warrior, a broote with no purpose, a fool
with no resolve, or something great. You realize that you

(33:11):
can use the staff and extend it down to save
your companions, giving them something to grab onto to help
him climb to safety. Ice Fing's laughter grows louder, mocking
you for holding the staff and appearing unworthy of being
a warrior. Or you can let your teammates fall and
grip the acts instead. What do you do? I hate you.

(33:38):
I did not want this decision. Damp it.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
Kyle saves his friends.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
So Kyle uses as a staff, the one that brought
him shame in his younger years, but he uses them
to save his friends. We'll save no. You reach the
staff down and the spectral images of your friends grab
the staff and pull them, and they disappear, but you
know that you have saved them. The staff glows faintly,

(34:11):
strengthening your connection to your mother's teachings. You fade out
into darkness. You hear a dripping of water echoing in
a cavern crumb, a dark cavern illuminated by faint, shimmering
crystals embedded in walls. You echoes of voices that fill

(34:33):
the space, growing louder with each step. The air is heavy,
as if the cavern itself bears the weight of your
past choices. A pile of rubble looms ahead, reminiscent of
something that has happened in your past. As you stand
there in front of the pile, the cavern begins to
shake violently, rocks falling from the ceiling, blocking your path

(34:56):
and threatening to trap you. You hear voices, voices. You
recognize you did this.

Speaker 6 (35:03):
You brought the walls down on us.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Give me a reflex save.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
It's gonna be a twenty three.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Twenty three Okay. You're able to dodge the falling stone
as they collapse onto the ground around you. As you
continue to run through the cavern, shadowy figures emerge from
the walls, taking the form of your falling clan members.
They don't attack, but instead stare at you with hollow
and accusing eyes. Whispers echo why did deliver us?

Speaker 6 (35:31):
Why didn't you save us?

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Do you want to hold your ground and confront them
or do you want to flee? Flee? Give me a
will save.

Speaker 5 (35:42):
Thirteen.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Okay, you now have frightened one. As you continue to
flee and run, you suddenly find yourself as at a
large altar made of jacket stone, surrounded by glowing vials
and unstable explosives. On the altar lies a single bomb
that pulses with a You hear a voice, you destroyed us?

Speaker 6 (36:05):
Do you truly know what you're capable of?

Speaker 2 (36:09):
You see the fuse of the bomb burning down. You
know that you need to disarm it. Now I need
you to make a crafting check eighteen eighteen. You're just
able to cut the fuse off before it goes down
into the body of the bomb. The voices seem to dissipate.

(36:31):
Two shadowy forms appear in front of you, each one
taking the shape of someone you recognize. One is the
shape of multiple people, various goblins. You begin to recognize
the shapes they seem to seem they seem to look
like your clan. The other two humanoids a larger person

(36:51):
and a thinner person. You recognize them as Kyle and
Lucas you hear who will you save when it happens again?

Speaker 6 (36:59):
Who coach?

Speaker 5 (37:01):
Chrom clutches the necklace with the symbol of Neurissa.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
As you do, a faint flame lights up behind you,
lighting the cave around you, not making the decision easier,
but comforting you as it's no longer the eerie, shadowy
landscape that it was.

Speaker 5 (37:23):
The calm is gone, not them that up, and then
Crome reaches out to his friends.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
A crow caws in the background, and a dark forest,
bathed in moonlight lucas you see trees surrounding you, gnarled
and twisted. The air is heavy with the scent of decay,
and the ground is littered with withered plants and dead animals.
The forest feels familiar yet wrong, its features distorted by

(38:05):
memories of your past and your mother. What could possibly
be the connection to the poisoning of the land around you.
As you venture deeper into the woods, the force comes alive,
with whispers accusing you of being complicit in her actions.
The trees seem to lean towards you, their branches like
skeletal hands. You hear snippets of phrases you knew, you

(38:28):
ignored the signs. You're just like her. Give me a
will save its natural twenty. You were able to push
that off. You know the mother, you knew would never
do such a thing, and even if you were like her,
you wouldn't do something like this, because there was no
way she could have done something like this. As you

(38:51):
continue to walk, you come across a fork in a path.
One path is overgrown and dark, filled with brambles and shadows,
the other clear and inviting by an unnatural glow. You
hear your mother's voice calling from the inviting path, but
the darker path seems to echo with faint cries of help.
Which one do you choose? The dark path? Okay, I

(39:14):
was gonna say you can make a perception check, but
you already decided. You choose to go down the dark path.
You push into the brambles as they scrape beside you,
but you know, and you feel deep down, that that
was the right choice. At the end of the path,
you find a massive tree, its trunk split and oozing
with black sap. The ground around it is barren, and

(39:36):
the air is thick with a toxic miasma. In front
of the tree stands a shadowy figure resembling possibly your mother,
holding a vial of shimmering liquid. The figure turns to
you and says, it was never about the forest. It
was about survival. Will you destroy what's left of our

(39:58):
legacy to save them? You can attack the figure or
attempt to speak to it. I step back. No matter
how far you attempt to walk backwards, you don't move it.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
I simply stay quiet. Then I wait for her to ask.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Or speak to me. The figures is not Time passes,
clouds pass over the sky, the forest echoes, creaks, moans,
what's that file? The figure does not respond.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
Look, you speak of legacy and the name. You fucked
that when you left. That's not my job anymore. My
legacy is my own. You left, you abandoned me.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
How you hear back is will you destroy what is left,
even if it's just you?

Speaker 3 (40:57):
For what benefit? What would that do me?

Speaker 2 (41:00):
She doesn't respond.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
Fucking knew it. You never change, fake or real. You're
still the fucking same. As you grip your hands in rage.
In your right hand, you feel the wood of your bow.
I toss it away, You throw it off to the side,
and I strike with my fist.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
You walk up to the figure and you go to
punch with all of your might, and instead your fist
flies through the figure, hitting the tree, breaking it open
into a doorway. As you see the doorway, you glimpse
a vision of your family, a moment from the past,
when now you recognize it for what it was. As

(41:40):
a kid, you just saw them putting clothes in some
rucksacks and backpacks, and you thought that maybe they were
just moving things around. But now, as an adult, you
recognize that they were getting ready to leave. But behind you,
you hear voices call out, Lucas, we need you. It
sounds like chrome, sounds like Kyle. Do you walk through

(42:02):
the doorway or do you turn around and walk back
through the dark path towards your friends.

Speaker 3 (42:08):
I spin on the ground of the doorway and turn
to my friends. As you walk back back towards the
I stop, Actually, okay, I don't want to walk through
the doorway. I want to look through it one more time.
Repeat to me what I see.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
You see your parents packing up in the fishery, and
it is a bright memory. It's at midday. The sun
is shining through the windows, lighting up the wooden floorboards.
As the younger you, I mean, they didn't leave when
you were a small, small child, but it feels like
so long ago compared to what you've been through. You

(42:42):
see a younger version of yourself, who physically doesn't look
much different but emotionally is so much younger. You walk
into the room and they quickly stop doing what they're
doing and then give you a smile, and you ask
what they're you know, what are you doing? And they're like, oh,
just moving some things around, and you can see now
that they were actually packing to leave.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
I walk through the door.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
Okay, it fades the black. You all wake up lying
on the ground of the shaman's tents, sweating profusely. Your

(43:24):
clothes are soaked. The small fire they had in there
to keep you warm has burnt out, gasping for air,
but you are awake. You are here, You guys slowly
get up, your body sore for some reason. You open
the flap of the sauna tents and you step out,

(43:47):
and you see the orcs are going about their business.
It's now nighttime. And you look up and you see Ailin.
She's over in kind of like the mess hall area,
you know, sitting around talking with some of the orcs
that maybe is no common And the shaman that was
watching over you is standing by the tents and he

(44:08):
looks at you all and he speaks in common, and
he says, did you meet the god the chat rang one?
He thanks for saying, don't danced me. It was wrong
of me to ask. I do not wish to know. Actually,
please come drink what. I don't need food for.

Speaker 3 (44:27):
Our own knowledge. How do you know?

Speaker 2 (44:28):
If you met him and he looks at you and
he says, did you feel something break? He looks deep
into your eyes. He goes, yes, something broke. He were
shot that you met him, and he starts to walk
away while jangling his staff with bells on it, towards
the area where they're serving food and drink, and the

(44:51):
fires are bright.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
I don't want to do that again, guys. I didn't
feel good, No, Bob.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Did you guys? Did you guys go to your past? Uh?

Speaker 6 (45:08):
I don't want to talk about it.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
I don't do there. I get up and I'm like,
come on, gentlemen, like stretching, like trying to get some
movement back. I feel like I am forced to be
in the fetal position. I'm trying to fight it. There's
no reason for us to be sitting here and being down.
Let's gotta move on.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Yeah, got the dwarf for love.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
I don't want to fucking be here anymore, man, I'm Kyle.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
He just gets him and walks away.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
Yeah, I figured.

Speaker 3 (45:44):
Lucas is physically shaking, like gasping for hair.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
You see that the shaman had walked over to the
cage and was speaking to the guards that were around it,
and the guards kind of like not yes. And then
they don't really have a lock on the door. It's
more or less tide shut with sinew, so they cut
it open, swing the door open, and walk into the
door from the dwarfs, cursing at them the door like you,

(46:13):
just spitting at him, and they pick him up by
his wrists and then they turn to you guys and
kind of like hold him out, you know, like here
you go, it's yours now.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
Crumwell, like grab the sin even just like kind of
like haveheartedly like drag him towards the exit, and he's.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
Like, keut me loose night, you got me here, thank
you for let's go, donald'snces.

Speaker 4 (46:38):
I have a question, and this is one hundred percent
up to you. Did that break my anathema? I chose
to save my friends instead of combat.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
You tell me so.

Speaker 4 (46:53):
I believe the exact description is backing down from a fight.
I was not in a fight, but I was being
egged on. So I don't know if because it was
a more spiritual experience, if that would break my anathema.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
I'm actually gonna leave that one up to you.

Speaker 4 (47:16):
I will decide by next episode.

Speaker 3 (47:17):
Okay, we can do that before we leave this camp,
can I flag down the shaman? Like yeah, yeah, I
wave and I'm I kind of gesture like towards me
and I start walking towards.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
Him, me and them in the middle. He walks over
to you. He's hunched over. Unlike all the other doors
are standing tall. The shaman is hunched over, covered in
you know, the cloak and with the staff.

Speaker 3 (47:39):
And he looks up at you and yes, I have
a question. My hand's like shaking, and I like, I
gesture my hand up and I have one question. What
does it mean when you're shattered?

Speaker 8 (47:52):
And uh.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
He puts his hand on you. It's a strong grip
and he says that that's the only way to grow
next is to break first. And now you grow into
something new. Your old self is gone.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (48:10):
You will see?

Speaker 3 (48:12):
How will I know?

Speaker 2 (48:13):
Warn will guide you? Pay to him the god you met,
Pray to him and he will show you how to
put the pieces back together and a new new design,
better than ever before.

Speaker 3 (48:28):
Is there some way I pray to him?

Speaker 2 (48:30):
No do I offer? Or yes? What are the rules?

Speaker 3 (48:35):
What do I do?

Speaker 2 (48:37):
You take a piece? He takes his hand off and
he kind of reaches into a bag and he pulls
out a blade. But it's a chunk of a blade,
you know that's obviously been broken off before. And you
see it's kind of has a mark that's been cut
into it part way down and he looks, he goes,
you must break something that was designed to harm or

(48:58):
to protect or armor. You break them and he tenses
the little blade snaps. That is your offering to and
then you pray, speak in your soul and you will
get guidance. And he hands you the top part of
the blade, which has another mark in it, ready to

(49:20):
be broken for the next prayer. What's your name? My
name is the rug Nachta Weiss. I hope that you
can speak to in the future as you rebuilds the soul,
he will rebuild you.

Speaker 3 (49:35):
Lucas Lucas, Lucas Pennington, but Lucas pan.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
He kind of bows deeply. News it is nice to
meet you. I'm glad I have met you on my
path before.

Speaker 3 (49:47):
I am shattered for final, Shattered the final? What does
that mean?

Speaker 2 (49:53):
We all are shuttered for the final at some point,
and my time is coming soon. I feel kind of
patch your hand as he you know, he put the
blade tip in it, curls your fingers over it and
pats the top and he goes like, have other there's
a tens too, nods again or bows again, and then
turns around and starts to shamble off.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
Thank you sir, and he just continues to walk. I
turn around and I catch up with Crome and Kyle.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
Dwarf, and then Allen sees you guys start to walk.
You're just walking out of camp. And she gets up
and kind of catches up, and she's like, what happened? Everything?
Everyone alright? He says, we're in there for hours. I
say in faith, don't ask. It was horrifying, and she
doesn't press kind of leaves it at that, and the
Dwarf was like.

Speaker 3 (50:41):
Oh man, I hate this. Shut the mock up, dude.
Now is not the time? I say in fae that
was in common. I asked in Goblin. I asked Crom
and Kyle are we Are we okay to to press on?
Or should we? Should we punker down for the night.

Speaker 6 (50:57):
I feel like hunk of them from the mountain.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
All right, let's get that done. I make I'm confirming
I'm hunting the dwarf actively. And then I ask Allen
in fae when we hunker down, can I tend to you?

Speaker 2 (51:12):
And she responds in faye, you may try, but I'm
not sure there's much that can be done for me
except for some very serious rest. She kind of looks
at the woods. You guys are heading out. It's nighttime,
as I mentioned, and trees are backlit by stars, and
you see kind of a forlorn look in her face,

(51:33):
and she goes, I fear I must take a leave
and rest for a while. And she looks at you.
Are you guys still in the camp exited into the woods?
And she looks at you, Lucas, and she goes, my
life is changing, and I think that perhaps that this

(51:57):
is better in your hands than mine. And she hands
you her bow, so engraved and would golden inlay bow.
She says, can you make me a promise? She leans
in make him pay for what he did to my friends?

Speaker 3 (52:15):
The dwarf.

Speaker 2 (52:16):
Yes, whereas speaking fake right, Yeah, She goes, you don't
have to kill him and make him hurt in some
way or another. She got to grips her side. She goes,
I thought I was up for it, but I don't
think so. I think I need to rest.

Speaker 3 (52:32):
I I kind of take the I drop my bow,
I grab hers and then I use one arm and
I wrap around and I grab the back of her
head and I press it against my shoulder and I
just whisper, Yeah, I'll see what I can do.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
She kind of embraces you and in kind of a
way like she's also putting a little bit of her
weight on you, like she's hurt, you know, you know, yeah,
She's like, thank you very much. And that's where we
will end our cess. It's our session with you guys
going to and finding a camp for the evening. Thank
you everyone for tuning in for this episode of Mythical Misfits,

(53:07):
and we will catch you on the next one.
