Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey players, DM Mike here. For some reason, Dominic's Mike
did not pick.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Up his audio for about half of this episode. However,
co producer Josh actually put in a lot of effort
to try and get him kind of understandable, which is
a little bit better than normal, I guess, So please
enjoy and please excuse Dominic sounding like he's in the
other side of a cave.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
All right, we are back with Mythical Misfits. Welcome, I
am DM Mike, who wants to recap me.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Back at the tavern, Slugnug decided to pay us a
visit and tell us that he's accomplished his task of
bringing the pelt. After a brief discussion, Kyle asked if
Slugnug was followed, to which you both of you guys
actually nailed your your perception checks. I did not, and
(01:02):
proceeded to chase after a mysterious figure figure in velvet attire,
and upon catching said person with Lucas's Antler arrow, some
dark ship happened. Crom was immediately uncomfortable left and then uh,
the two of you guys, along with Slugnugg returned to
(01:24):
the tavern and we were you went upstairs. You were
still downstairs. You were talking with Jack and telling Slugduck
to Hay, he's up. You don't have to be so close.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
No, you told him, Yeahocket, there you go, and then uh,
you got You were immediately greeted by a half ogre
with a club and a door for a shield, and
they say the velvet doves say hello.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Is he wearing velvet two? Of course he is probably
like he's wearing like a really badly tailored vest like
all belly budy. Yeah. I was gonna say, yeah, you
gotta audi with an Audi, So we're gonna go back. Kyle.
You see that image as he's standing, but he's still huge,
(02:16):
like you would assume that he got his daddy Jean,
and remember how jeans work. Record. He's standing standing in
the doorway, and the people that were you know, the
patrons that were there, begin to flee. They they kind
of run, They run up the stairs to their room,
and this large figure steps in. He looks at you.
Kyle's got the action on your back. He goes, you'll
(02:41):
want of the ones to play? You want to play?
I know. He starts to run towards you. Roll initiative
do I ll do I roll because I'm in the room.
Uh yeah, I'll say you roll, but you're gonna have
to take two actions to get downstairs. That's fine with me,
(03:03):
all right? What you get? Got it? Twenty two? Okay,
so not twenty You know that's only because it was
nat or did you roll ahead of this guy? But
I did say he starts to run towards you something
to put him halfway through the room. All right, Kyle,
you're up, all right?
Speaker 5 (03:20):
So I see him running at me with rolling initiative
activate Feptember, So I'm go.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Ahead, Kirby. You can't see anything, huh Nope. Here, I'll
put your token in that way. You can watch the fight,
but unless thematically Cromp shows back up, that's it. All
you can do is watch, all right.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
Okay, So with that reaction rage when he use two
actions the sudden charge on one, go ahead and charge
at him.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Okay, last in America.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
It's wanting to be at thirteen?
Speaker 1 (03:47):
All right? You miss as your act hits the table instead,
he kind of turns it again.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Six one.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
You miss? Is that the end of your turn? Okay?
And he goes, what are you good? You're not good enough?
And he swings down on you. That's gonna be a
twenty eight plus six. What the fuck?
Speaker 5 (04:15):
So that?
Speaker 1 (04:15):
How was that a plus thirty four to hit?
Speaker 5 (04:19):
I mean, that's the crib.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Thirty four is not a crit what's your ac Yeah,
thirty four is a crip. Right, So he brings the
club down on you and be a forty four points
of damage.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
Oh my god, are.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
You still up?
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Okay, quick, I don't know exactly what I'm at. Fuck
club down? You hear a deep thud Lucas down on
the floor below you. Is it even my turn? Nope,
you'll just hear that. It's just as first it's fuck
(05:01):
And then he kicks you away, which is I'm gonna
use mechanically the shove action athletics check against your fortitude DC,
what's your forte? So his athletics is he's gonna land
a twenty two. So you get pushed back throwing into
the room. Yeah, it doesn't specifically say you fall prone.
(05:23):
So you get shoved back, and then for his last action,
he's gonna raise shield. That's the end of his turn,
all right, Lucas.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
So before this whole thing happened, Lucas is in the
room and he's arguing with himself, like tears down his face,
pacing around the room, yelling, you know, like cursing this god.
He's like, what more do you want? How do I
please you? You demand and you demand, and you do, you
never deliver?
Speaker 1 (05:52):
What the fuck do you want?
Speaker 6 (05:54):
And you know, obviously the message just replaces his mind
over and over and over and over and over and over,
and he's like shattered, shattered important and and that weapon
in that just like slur of thoughts and rage and cursing.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
He kind of just stops and freezes, and he gets.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
Cold, and he walks to the corner of his room
and opens up. But I imagines like a little like
one of the standing dressers of tall as you like
hangs it from. Yeah, and he pulls out his old
short bow and he runs his finger along the wood,
feels all the old nicks and damage, you know, kind
(06:33):
of reminisces from a moment, and in that moment, that
cold turns to adrenaline. Yeah, without a second thought, he
just takes a step back and flings his knee to
his chest, snapping his childhood bow and a half and throws.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
It on the ground. In that moment, you feel a
surge flow through you, and for the rest of the
day you're gonna have a plus one to attack and damage.
Speaker 6 (06:59):
Oh so then in that moment I hear the bang
and explosion yep in them, I I imagine more tears flow,
but rather than like sad, it's almost.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Like an enlightening feeling.
Speaker 6 (07:10):
It's like, so you do deliver, you exist, Okay, Okay, Kyle.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
And it's gonna take two strides to get down there. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
I imagine it's gonna take me one action to pick
on my equipment, and I'm gonna use my last two
to run out there and see what's going on.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
But imagine you want to end at the end of
the stairs, part way up the stairs.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
I would have been high enough on the stairs that
he wouldn't see me.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
I would try and stealth it, but obviously I don't
know how well that would work. I also think do
I need an action for that? So stealth? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (07:47):
Okay, then no, I'm just I'm just stopping in on
the stairs and I'm just like looking around the corner.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Okay, Kyle, you're up.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
I'm gonna take one of my my first action.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Okay. Paul ran head shot.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
I still have a healing posting.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Lesser Crumb, what are you doing now? Be I trust
you you don't met a game. Would he be heading
back to the tavern or would he be on his
own or would he be still there enjoying the warmth.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
After the events that have transpired. I think Crum would
he would feel more comfortable staying at the temple, so
he probably he wouldn't be sitting anymore. He probably like
like curled up the flame.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Okay, understood, all right, So interact, drink a potion.
Speaker 5 (08:37):
Second and third action, I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
You have to stride. Okay, there you go.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
That is a seventeen plus eleven.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Okay, give me damage. No, that's barely a hit. What
are you joking? I'm not joking.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
Fuck all right, I take the great acts and as
I'm sudden jeorging, I ruyan slide down to one knee
and I take it across his kneecaps and slash both
his knee gaps.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
In fact, you don't because about half of that damage
your ex He brings the shield down. He's going to
do the reaction shield block, which was has the shield
raids raised. It takes damage the monster snaps its shield
into place to deflect a blow. The shield prevents the
monster from taking the amount of damage up to the
(09:28):
shield's hardness, which is only five in this mode.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Correct, So I would like to imagine the flavor wise
I hit the shield, but like busted it into his
kneecaps that way, is chill technically broken.
Speaker 8 (09:42):
At this point?
Speaker 1 (09:42):
No? People, right, it does. Yeah, yeah, it can only
take damage up to its hardness. You definitely did damage
to the shield.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
So let me ask you this then, because I've never
used a shield and pathfinder, and I'd like to learn
really quick when a sh shield takes damage, because obviously
it's gonna break after amount damage? How do you calculate
the damage between the shield and the user?
Speaker 1 (10:07):
So the shield takes all of the damage up to
its hardness.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
As a hardness of five, It's.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Basically, yeah, if you were to take five damage, the
enemy would take none, But if you were to take six,
the shield would take five, the enemy would take one
the remaining damage. No, no, no, the shield takes all five
hit points out of its Okay, So if this shield,
for example, has fifty hit points, which I'm assuming.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Would be like a wild shield in this oh yeah,
that'd be crazy here, Like okay, then oh yeah, we'll
say we'll say ten for for a basic example. Right,
So he just hit it did seventeen names of the
person and the shield took five.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
So theoretically, if the shield.
Speaker 6 (10:43):
Had ten health, it only has five left and once
you do it again, theoretically, yes, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
That makes sense. Okay, that's easier than I thought. I
thought we're gonna be like calculating using fucking triggers. No, no,
shields are pretty pretty straightforward and IMpower god bless pathfind up, indict,
and date. So that was it, okay, and uh it's
now the half orcs turn and he's like, develovet no,
(11:11):
I want you to remember so I won't kill y'all.
I won't just my cue real. But he takes the
club and goes to clock you across the head. That's
gonna be a twenty three?
Speaker 5 (11:24):
Uh fair bosflip gives me a what A plus two? Correct?
Speaker 1 (11:28):
You tell me that's what I'm doing right now?
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Yeah? Plus two's that'll put me at a twenty twenty
three makes it?
Speaker 1 (11:36):
It's it. So that's gonna be nineteen points of bludgeoning
Jesus as his club clocks you, bounces off your skull,
and he swings again for the second attack, second action,
second attack. It's gonna be in that twenty Oh fuck.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
It doesn't matter what you're rolling down. Come, I tell
you have I have twelve left.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Wait he did forty four. Wait wait wait, I want
to make it. He rolls your toll.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
You die right, No, no, he has to roll double.
My eh peaks.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Oh okay, fifty two points.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
That's nowhere near double. Okay, yeah, no, my Matt is
be sixty four. Okay, yeah, so I'm definitely down.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
So yeah, his last hit lucas. You see the club
come down on Kyle's head and his body just falls
to the ground, lifeless. And for his third action, he
looks up at you because you're the only one else
in the room looking at him. Everyone else ran and
he raises his shield. You're up. I uh he freezes
(12:41):
for a second. You know what. I drink my quick silver.
Speaker 6 (12:46):
All right, I'm either in or I'm out, and I'm
in this bitch, so there ain't no way out. So
I now get to use Remind me, there's a lot
of effects on.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
It, so you get an item bonus to acrobatic chicks.
Uh uh self checks, the rechecks, reflex saves and dexterity attack.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Rolls, and uh, you gain some speed, so.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
You're gonna get a plus two item bonus to those checks.
And you got and you get plus ten of speed,
but you have a minus two penalty to forty two.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Saves, okay, and high dam which shall I take? I
don't remember what level?
Speaker 5 (13:20):
Are you?
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Four? So you take eight damage? The fuck? So forty
eight health right now?
Speaker 6 (13:26):
So I imagine like he drinks like the glass yards that
are in it and just like rips the ship out
of his.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Throat the glass shards in it. I thought, I thought,
that's what it is. It's it's a it's a lixir.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
Yeah, but silver. There's shards of silver.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
And although I kind of like that mental image that
it has ground up glass in it, so cuts your
your you know, your throat open, so it gets into
your blood instantly the moment you drink it, I mean,
crumb you make it. So you decide, yeah, that's kind
of a image.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
That's very it's your hardcore.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
I want to make it known. So I have a
plus two to my my dexity.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
Technically, have a plus three.
Speaker 6 (14:04):
Yes, so that means so thirteen plus two plus one,
so I have a sixteen to hit right now, yep,
and then I get plus two to two damage as well.
Or is it just a hit. It's just a hit, okay,
but I get a plus one to damage from Okay.
From there, that's my first action, and I'm going to
make the attack with a regular arrow. I really have
(14:25):
no choice. But before I do it, I'm just gonna
be like, we're run protect me. So that's a natural twenty.
I want everyone to look at the fucking dice. I'm crazy,
I'm sae, I'm insane, dude, it's actually I'm not insane, Lucas.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Is so roll your your two D eight. So roll
your two D eight.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
I'm gonna put that right there.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Roll your two D eights or run might be real.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Okay, hold on thirty three fucking times.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
Shut up saying roller twod eights. I want to see this.
So that's eight total, So that's sixteen. Now roll your
deadly D ten four. Okay, so that's twenty.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Plus four runs. Blessing of what one plus two cus piercing.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
It's my first precisions twenty three image.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Okay, you loose the arrow. Wait question question, question, question, So.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
Yeah, piercing does that go through shield?
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Does thirty six? Krid right? It does? Creat Yeah? Yeah, okay, yeah,
so it hits him, and you see that he puts
his shield up and it actually waiting.
Speaker 5 (15:25):
This is.
Speaker 9 (15:27):
Used.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
No, he did. He uses reaction. You know, he gets
one reaction, so he can't raise his shield again, so
his shield doesn't absorb any of that. He takes all
of that damage.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
I imagine it just like goes like through the shield,
into his knuckle and then up his form.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
So he's like looking at Kyle because he's like in
your arrow hits him right in the chest. He's like because, yeah,
I forgot. He already used his reaction, which means he
can't raise shield again. Yeah, very nice. I'm putting my
arms out you and me man, all right, come on,
do you have any reactions? No? Yeah, tech, Oh that's right,
because I have the quicksilver.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
No no, no, no regardless action to drink cool silver.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
And then you attacked, didn't you? No, he didn't hunt prey.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
I did hunters, which is a two action thing. Yeah,
so did two action drawn as that's what increases my
might to hit and all that and fun, fun of you.
All right, I'm gonna give us a DC eleven flat
roll because you are dying one.
Speaker 5 (16:27):
I'm not going to use the hero coin.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Okay, so it was what was it seven?
Speaker 5 (16:31):
So I'm gonna use a hero coin to reroll.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Okay, it's even worse.
Speaker 5 (16:38):
Do I want to use another hero.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Coin so you can just keep it or you can try,
you know, use the hero coin to stabilize.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
That's the I'm gonna use the hero coin to stabilize.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Okay, it's my last I thought it was hero coin
to reroll. You can so hero coins by path funder
rules to reroll pretty much any roll. You can also
use all your hero coins to stabilize at zero health
rules as written I home, you can use a hero
coin to stabilize and be up at one health. Okay,
(17:05):
I think that's funny.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
I'm not am I am if my prone still or.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
No, you're prone, you're wounded too, wounded one okay, so
the first one because you failed, Yeah, we'll do wounded
one and you have one health. But that is going
to be your turn.
Speaker 5 (17:19):
Oh that's my entire turn.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Yeah. Oh yeah, rules is written even if you use
it to stabilize, that's your whole turn. Oh so, Kyle,
you see this half orc just step over you. He's
going to use first action swap. He puts his club
away and he pulls out a massive ass crossbow. First
(17:41):
action swap, second action is gonna fire you, Lucas. That's
gonna be a twenty one question. Is there a safe
tied to it? No? Okay? Does that elexir give me
a boost ac at all?
Speaker 5 (17:58):
No circumstances once to what check? No deck check?
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah, I say no. Then it hits me. It's over
by one, so it's not like crint or anything. So
that's gonna be fourteen points a day. That's way better
than I thought it would be. Fourteen points of piercing.
And his third action he goes to reload the crossbow.
That's the end of his turn. Eure roupe. Look forty
eight minus fourteen thirty four thirty four.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
That was like the easiest math. Mine was like, uh,
thirty three minus twenty two minus nineteen minus forty five,
so negative twenty six.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Do you just drug his nuts on your forehead? Jesus Christ? Well, yeah,
he's standing right over you. Call you wake up, bloody, beaten,
you know, eyes swollen maybe one as'll swollen shut. And
you see this massive crossbow pointing down at you because
he's pushing it down to reload. What was it?
Speaker 5 (18:51):
It was it thirteen plus.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
I don't even think that hits. So it's a twenty
nine total plus sixteen thirteen plus sixteen that hits? No way,
does it really?
Speaker 5 (19:00):
Yeah? I had him with I had him with the
twenty three.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
I thought you roted it. You didn't hit him with
the twenty three. I thought he rolled a twenty eight
and missed or something crazy. No, he got a twenty
nine and he asked or somebody asked that was a
crit I said close.
Speaker 5 (19:13):
But no, oh, because he had a shield raise. So
that was why he got bumped down.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
So it doesn't actually hit it, does yea.
Speaker 5 (19:18):
His shields not raised, shield down and crossbow.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Oh yeah, so wait where's his shield?
Speaker 6 (19:23):
Then?
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Is this on the ground. Oh, he's holding it in
one hand, but he like reloaded and shot you with
the crossbow on the other hand.
Speaker 5 (19:29):
Doesn't crossbow two handed.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
That's it's the hand crossbow.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
He said massive about Yeah, yeah, I said massive crossboad
I got imagine it's least.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
To him, because if it's the case, doesn't his acy drop?
Speaker 5 (19:39):
I mean it does, shield raised, shield rais increasing up,
but doesn't his acy doesn't drop from his native because
he put the shield down.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Got it, got it?
Speaker 5 (19:48):
Got shield are pretty cool because it like, it's not
a vital to your kit unless you got to raise
your shield.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
It is two handed, So I'll say that dropped the shield.
He dropped the shield. Yeah, as a free action, he
drops shield. That's thirteen damage, very nice.
Speaker 6 (20:05):
And then I strike again regularly without hunt or without
Hunter's aim because I can't use it again unfortunately. Uh okay,
that's still a plus eleven plus one plus two, so
fourteen that's a miss.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Okay, Yeah, that's fine. That's all the reactions. And it
flies past and he barely dodges out of the way.
You've all kind run out of goes. I'm dead, Trod,
I'm dead. I can talk like you do. He's not
like a fucking Kyle.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
You're up first action to a stand up. Yeah, so
if you can take off that prone and off guard form,
actually I can take that off myself.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
As you do. He punches you.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
Lights out.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Yeah, he's attack of opportunity. Oh god, no, he was serious. No, yeah,
I was serious. I wonder if you can use a
hero coin to make him roll. So let me see. Oh,
I just reroll the fucking attack. Oh god, damn it.
Trying to teach you guys to use your hero points,
(21:15):
all right, so that's gonna be let me see attack
of opportunity. That's gonna be an unarmed attack. So nineteen,
that's a miss.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
This might might actually have a finess.
Speaker 5 (21:29):
Oh they do have finesse.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah, so you can use strength ord decks.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
He's gonna do strength, all right. So he goes to
punch and maybe his fist clocks the table right next
to you because you're kind of getting up close to it. That. Yeah,
Attack of Opportunity is cleared up.
Speaker 5 (21:45):
Well, so you get up up now the mild heart
attack is done. Yeah, I'm gonna take my great ax
and I'm Kyle is just he's he's not. The pain
is there, but he is so bloodlusted that he knows
that Lucas is behind him, He knows that Jackie's at
(22:06):
the bar, probably hiding behind the bar, herb nowhere to
be found. As usual, I can't rage for ten minutes, guys,
So this is all.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Raw, baby. I also feels I have no healing.
Speaker 5 (22:20):
I also have him been adding my rage modifier, my damage.
Oh that's my fault. Fuck yeah, it's a nineteen. It's
a miss.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Huh oh yeah, you're trying to strike him.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
Yeah, with my great acts.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
Yeah yeah, it's a miss.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
First tack, I swing must of all the sting that
can just overhead cleeve. Imagine it just hits the side,
hits the same table. Yeah, it's the same table. And
second action, I'm our second third action, second attack. I'm
gonna swing again. That is going to be a twenty five.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
It hits give me Damagell's just sweating right now.
Speaker 5 (22:54):
That is going to be a seven damage.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Okay, got him is at the end of your turn.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
That's it. Okay, Kyle ain't running. Ryle's kind of dance.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Action one swap back to the club action two strike
twenty six.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
That's gonna hit.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
It's gonna be a sixteen. Bludgeony dead dying. So he you,
lucas you see him clock Kyle right in the head.
Kyle falls back over, blood splattering onto the wood floor
beneath him, and then the half work reaches down and
grabs Kyle by the head. His whole fingers just wrap
(23:36):
around his skull and he lifts him. He lifts him
up and holds him up to you, Lucas, and he says,
are you done? If you're done, he lives awesome more
message and I leave throw your bow down. How do
I know you're on line? You don't. He kind of
just shakes Kyle's body loosely back and forth. I unknock
(24:00):
my air and I throw it on the ground. Okay,
as you do. He chucks Kyle, He lets him go
with his body falls to the ground. The half work,
walks over to the bar top, lifts his giant club
and brings it down, cracking the bar top in half,
slamming it and with wood splinter shattering everywhere. He then
(24:22):
turns and begins to walk out of tavern. Hey, he
kind of stops and half looks at you and goes,
what I walk?
Speaker 6 (24:30):
I kind of run up to Kyle and I like
crouch down next to him and without making eye contact
with the diagram.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
Like what's your name? And he goes, what'shit?
Speaker 6 (24:40):
Ma?
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Da?
Speaker 6 (24:40):
Nice of meal, Lucas, Next time, try again, sometime.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
This is fun. Yes, it wars velvet knives like I said,
hello and be with you. And uh. He takes a
pause at that statement, and and continues walks back out
and leaves the bar. Wow, well, Kyle, give us what
(25:10):
see you're wounded to you're dying? To give us a
d C twelve nineteen.
Speaker 5 (25:16):
Okay, am I up stabilized wounded two one dying condition,
right you go?
Speaker 1 (25:22):
I think it goes down to dying one. Yeah, I
think it's just down to dying. Oh. You know what
I'll do.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
I'll sprint over to the bar top and I'll hop
it and I'll scramble my sewing.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Kit together that I left there earlier. I'll hop back
over the bar top.
Speaker 6 (25:34):
I'll run up to Kyle and I'll get down on
my knees and I'll start trying to sow his wounds.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Shut Kirby, if you could remind me what medical check
with that.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
At medicine, we're still technically in combat since I'm dying.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
You guys aren't. It's I always get mixed us. There's
like first aid, there's battle medicines, there's treat wounds.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
I assume that's wounds.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
I think it is treat wounds. Yeah, I mean you
need a healer's kid in this moment, I'll pass it off.
Speaker 6 (26:04):
I'll even take a penalty. I just need to make
sure Kyle doesn't fucking negative one? How about that? Just
negative one? Because I mean, you're you're trying to sow
it d.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
C fifteen fifteen sixteen. Technically, what modifier do I use?
Wisdom medicine? Medicine is wisten Okay, yeah, but in case,
you have medicine different than I have plus medicine, so
I think you're training.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Yeah, it's nine, so that's plus eight, so that is
going to be a seventeen.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
So you're able to patch up the grievous wounds.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
That Why does I need it twelve because you're bad
at math, but you heal them forty four?
Speaker 3 (26:40):
I mean forty eight okay eight, Yeah, that's oh Jesus,
that's base. And then once you're like expert, you can
raise the DC. And then it becomes like.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
Wait, aren't you an expert in medicine if you raise them?
So that's if he wants to raise the DC.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
This is just to get you back on your feet.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
So we're so not worried about that. Yeah, this is
we don't want you feeling good. We want you feeling
not dead.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
Yeah, thirteen sixteen health.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
So Kyle, you gasp your wet, bloody breath in as
you feel like you've been crushed under a boulder and
Lucas is leaning over you.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
Dumb move, dumb move, dumb move, doumb move. I'm doing
my best. I'm also like weusing like a wet breath
as like bloods coming off from my throat. And uh,
that massive bolt is still like in my abinen I
have I have an aldermovie because I imagine you said
he's a massive dude with a massive hand hosp bow. Yeah,
I imagine it's like a small like you know those
(27:41):
poles well, I mean you know, like those poles you
see like under the hand rall on a staircase. Imagine
one of those are just protruding from my appleman pretty much. Yeah, yeah, no, same.
It's not comfortable, but I mean, I mean we're good.
We're solid, man, I mean not bleeding anymore, which is cool,
(28:02):
I am, But I mean I'm self inflicted. I'm cool, man,
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
You guys, He's not here. I don't know where he's at.
You hear from the other room, Jack say, guys, help, yeah,
hold on, No, they hurt her. Don't oh fuck, hey,
don't move, don't move? Do you guys? Hear that from
the backside of the tavern, of that back room where
the brewery is. What do you do?
Speaker 5 (28:27):
I can't get up, by Kyle, he's down, he's incredibly hurt.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (28:34):
In that case, I will take the cloth I was
using to put pressure on your wound, and I'll put
in your palm and I'll press down on your wound
again and just be like hold hold that and he
will get up, blood pouring out of his mouth and
out of his abdomen, and we'll like stumble over to
the bar top before grabbing it for his balance and
(28:55):
like throwing his head over and looking on the ground
behind the bar.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Well, they're in the back room. But when you too,
you put your hand on the bar and you notice
that it's been collapsed in the center, like a board
that's been snapped in the middle. It's just smashed down.
You've never seen it look like this. But they're in
the back room. Do you head back there? Yes? Okay,
As Lucas is heading back there, Kyle, you hear thunder
in the background coming from outside. And I don't know
(29:21):
if you realize it in this moment, but maybe you do,
maybe you don't, but you know that when you were
outside just a few moments ago, the guy's were clear,
the stars were bright, but you hear thunder lucas. As
you go into the back room, you see jack kind
of stumble back and you see Herb on the ground
and he's like, get on.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
Me, fine, get on me.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
I'm fine, I'm okay, I'm okay. And you look around
the room and you see three humanoid shaped shadows made
of ash that are splashed on various parts of the room,
and Herb say, hold on, hold on, I got to
close it. I got to close it. And he scrambles over.
He's crawling on the ground. You see, he's like bruised
and a little bit bloodied, and he grabs this hooded
(30:03):
lantern that's shining a little bit of light, very carefully
closes it shut. Jackie's like, oh, Herb, I thought they
got you. He's like, no, I'm okay, I'm okay, and
Herb kind of like leans over and sits on his
button and you see, now he's got a little bit
of a cut on his eyebrow, his left eye starting
to swell a little bit. He's like, oh, they tried
to get mad, but I got him first look at it.
(30:24):
He starts pointing at the different ash shadows that are
splayed across the room, and Jack's like, what what are those? Herbs? Says, well,
those used to be paper. No, No, he looks up
at you. Luca's liked, they shatter you. Okay, boy, I'm
taking care of Kyle. And I turn around and I
like fumble out of the room back as you run
(30:45):
out here.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
So just to interject as he starts to go. As
he starts to go towards back to herb, Kyle's trying
to drag himself across the floor to find something to
prop up on. Yeah, and when he goes to prop
up onto a barstool, he collapses down. He just he
can't seem to between the sound of the thunder and
(31:07):
he's so disoriented. Nothing's key, Like it's almost like it
has vertigo. He can't he can't seem to focus on anything.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Kyle right now, in this moment definitely feels like he
shouldn't be here, like a feeling of disassociation. And lucas
you go out there. You see Kyle kind of propped up,
and and you hear in the back room, you know, herbs.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Like okay, okay, I think at this point Krumb would
be making it, would be making his way back.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Okay and Crumb. You walk in and the rowdy raven
has a bunch of people out front. They're all looking
shook up. You know, there's some crowds like huddled together.
Nobody wants to go inside. Do you make your way
to the front door. Yeah, you make you way to
the front door. And that's when you look in and
you see the scene where tables have been flipped. There's
(31:56):
blood all over the floor, the bar has been smashed
in the middle. Kyle's on the ground, barely breathing. Lucas
is holding aside with a bolt sticking out of it,
and you realize you have missed a lot. God, I
guess yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:17):
Can you can you drag me to the to the wall?
Speaker 1 (32:20):
How you feeling?
Speaker 5 (32:22):
I'm really dizzy. I can't see straight.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
Nothing nothing is stop stop stop, I'm moving and I'm
gonna start like trying to spit the blood out of
my mouth. I feel like pulling undereath my tongue and
I'm gonna grab I want.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
To say, the back of your coat.
Speaker 6 (32:37):
Yeah, your coat, kind of your collar of your like
leather harness you have. And I'm gonna start kind of
pulling you towards the back room, just like I'm not
even stepping back. I'm just leaning back like my body
weight drag you and then step in and catch my
balance again.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
And Herb comes out holding the hooded lanner and he's
like pointing it out like a weapon.
Speaker 10 (32:53):
He's like.
Speaker 6 (32:54):
Her Then Jack's like a hear what he's gone, dude, Kyle,
Kyle's gonna die. Can you fucking help us?
Speaker 5 (33:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah, And he sets the lantern down, and Jack like,
because the bar is broken, it's at an angle. So
the lantern starts to fall and Jack leaps force the
god no no, and grabs the lantern and Herb runs
into the back row and about I don't know, probably
ten seconds later, he comes out and he's carrying like
a giant bucket slashing with liquid, and he's like, okay, Kyle,
(33:29):
trakish trinkuish.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
Was what'd you roll for to see if I fall
unconscious or not?
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Why just thematically?
Speaker 5 (33:36):
Yeah? Thematically? Yeah I fall unconscious?
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Eight?
Speaker 5 (33:41):
Yeah, it was it was eleven and up I fall unconscious.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Crumb will walk up to Kyle and he'll make in
the lixir of life and like pinch Kyle's nose shut
and like pour it down his throat.
Speaker 5 (33:52):
Does it taste weird? Kiwi?
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Why?
Speaker 5 (33:55):
So I'm asking, like, why did the pinch nose?
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Like he's great to force it to go down your throat?
Speaker 5 (34:00):
Oh that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
And Herb's like, oh, that's good, Crumb. But here fish
and he hands you the bucket and the bucket's like
as big as your torso and he's like this and
he looks at you. Lucas goes okay, strikes up. Shave
it up, shave it up.
Speaker 6 (34:18):
Yeah, Lucas so like kneeled down with his left knee
trying not to move his abomen too much. And I'll
put his left arm on the ground and try and
like cup from the bucket, Nick Crumbs holding and in
between drinks and He's gonna be like, so you had
a good walk.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
As you take a sip three D six plus six
here like oh oh my god.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
Crum will like scoop a handful like down Kyle's throat.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Herb grabs the lantern, and he's like kind of patrolling
the tavern. He's like looking around, even looking around the tables,
you know, going to the next table, looking underneath, and
Jackie's like, oh man, this god bad.
Speaker 10 (35:00):
Yeah, and then Herb comes back a minute later and
he goes all right, but as I think we're Claire,
he walks to the outside door and he yells like
work close for the night and slams the door.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
But because that guy kind of like pushed it open,
broke it open, it doesn't close all the way.
Speaker 5 (35:14):
And Herbs like, I like to imagine here shut and
slams back open.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
Yeah, Herbs pushing a table up against the door.
Speaker 5 (35:23):
He's like he did that in the herb accent. Yeah,
it's amazing.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
So I'm not working tonight.
Speaker 5 (35:30):
Do I take another thirty six plus six? And I
took a swig of the water. Yes, okay, thank god.
I think at this point Kyle can wake up, no
matter how severely unconsciously.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
I was gonna have a drink himself, because he's also.
Speaker 5 (35:40):
Not ten thirteen nineteen.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Wait, Chrome goes to drink it. Yeah, you aren't even here.
Why are you drinking that? Dude? We need that because
I got hurt from the fight earlier to do whatever
that Kyle, and then Chrome just walks off to his room.
Herbs like crime, what come back here and drink it.
It's throw all the ravens.
Speaker 6 (36:02):
Take it, dude, I it doesn't matter to me. You
weren't here, but I can't hold against you.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
You just free man. Crom will take a drink, health Kyle.
As you return to consciousness, a lightning strike hits so
loud and so close you feel like it might have
hit the raven Jesus Christ and thunder rolls like a
real lightning strike. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (36:27):
Do they see it? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (36:28):
Everyone could hear it. Everyone feel it. And I was like, god,
damn man, that's quite the storm. My bones didn't tell
me there was a storm coming. It was just really
they're pretty accurate. He kind of like wiggles his arms
around his old man. What my bones? He said, His
boys no like people like nuts.
Speaker 6 (36:50):
No nuts called the boys, don't you?
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Yeah? No, my bones normally get a one storms. And
now the things have come down a little bit. Lucas,
that hooded lantern that Herb was carrying around the room,
you recognize it as the item that he was holding
(37:16):
behind his back when Chrom was threatening him. The first
time you guys met in that back room. You you
can you visually like, oh, that's what he was holding.
I remember it.
Speaker 6 (37:27):
I keep it to myself and I lay down on
my left side to take pressure off my atheren.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
Okay, and Herb looks at the crossfoot ball and he goes,
I should probably get that out.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
You want me to help you pull it out.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
I don't want to take it out, but I know
I have to.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
I take a rag out of my pocket.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Oh fuck, not that rag.
Speaker 5 (37:48):
Take a rag in my pocket. I twist it up
real thick, and I put it like again, like for
you to bite. No, just lucas. It's a little better
this way.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
Herbs rips it out.
Speaker 5 (38:02):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Do I need Should I voice like that? Why not?
Herbs rip? What fuck? What's wrong with you? I don't
want to watch you name out of time? And then
he's wrong with you? Makes that bucket starts like splashing
the beer onto the wound.
Speaker 6 (38:17):
Can I kick him in the shin? Like, just stomp
back at his shin while I'm laying down, If you
want to, Yeah, I'm gonna try that, but I assume
it's a massive disadvantage. I'm gonna do non lethal damage.
I'm gonna do that to like make space because it
hurts so bad.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Okay, yeah, give me an tack roll.
Speaker 5 (38:31):
Oh god, unarmstrike.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Non lethal You get a negative too, yeah, negative too
twenty one, twenty one, with the negative too, yeah, with
the negative two twenty three. You kick him in the shin.
He's like ow and he clocks you right in the face.
You take four points of bloodging damage. Getting sick of
this shit, and he looks he was like, then leave,
go right now, fucking leave. In fact, he grabs the
(38:54):
hooded lantern. He sets it right for you. You want
to go, you want to go right now?
Speaker 5 (38:57):
Herb shut up?
Speaker 1 (38:58):
Do you want to go right now? Hi? Do you
want to go?
Speaker 5 (39:01):
Ty?
Speaker 8 (39:01):
Do you wind it like a little bitch? Ravens are
grown up? You gonna be a grown up. You gonna
be a little boy? Which one is it? Do you
want to be a grown up now, Lucas? Do you
want to tackle the world without crying?
Speaker 1 (39:13):
When was the last time I cried? Right now? All right? Yeah? Okay,
I get up and I uh I walk away.
Speaker 6 (39:22):
Okay, it's not worth In fact, I say it loud
I go, you know, it's it is not worth striking
my others?
Speaker 1 (39:30):
Are you already dead? Good? Kick by the way, fuck you?
And I walk outside. You're not my type. He goes
to the bar and he sits at it. It's like
at an angle. He's like, oh shit, I gotta get
this fixed.
Speaker 6 (39:43):
Can I take my bone the way out? I'll take
my bone and quaver, I'll like pick it up and
sling it over my shoulder on.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
The way out. Lucas, where are you going outside? And
I will walk outside and herbs like take come here.
And Jackie's like looking at you crimes, look at your
Cayo's look at Luke's leaving? And the doors got a
table in front of it. Do you move the table
to leave?
Speaker 6 (40:04):
Or do you go out the back or up to
one of the rooms or just the ice side of
the room. I guess, well, are both doors damaged or
just the front?
Speaker 1 (40:13):
Oh, it's like a singular door. I uh you know what?
Speaker 6 (40:16):
Yeah, I like just shimming the table enough to slip out,
and then I shut the door behind me. Okay, I
imagine like I gently shut it to be respectful.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
And they're just.
Speaker 6 (40:23):
Like like against the table and Jackie walks over.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
He's like herb. He's like, all right, we got to
regards stuff cleaning, and they get some some buckets and
the herbs in there with this ice swamps like that.
That's fine, really clear. But I've been back open for
business tomorrow. We've got customers. Didn't expect breakfast and then
they edded a pudge. They did their fried eggs, and
Jackie's the herb, just like Comba, like I am, I
am calm. I'm just trying to pland to get the
(40:50):
rapid raven back to normal. I gotta I gotta fund
some real Ravens, Jackie. I think we have. And then
they start kind of whispering. If you guys want to listen,
you can roll Perception seventeen and you kind of lean
in and herbs like I thought we did too. But
(41:10):
I don't know, I don't know. This was this was nothing, Jackie.
That's nothing nothing. This is a normal Tlues day for
a Ravens, and that's enough to almost care them and
get out of nickers. In the twist, it's just they're
not strong enough, boy, they're not strong enough. And he
kind of gets up and, uh, this is the first
(41:32):
time you guys ever see her limp. He goes onto
the back room Lucas. As you head outside, you see
the crowd out there, and there's a lot of drunkards
that are like annoyed and sad and disappointed, and there's
some revelers that were there for like what happened. They
want to know, like what happened and then what happened
in there.
Speaker 6 (41:51):
I'm welcome visitor, and I'll keep walking, like walking off,
holding my side, trying to.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Like stop this like bleed from pouring down my side.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
You notice that it's not I look at my palm,
and I imagine, I think other thing that can be
wet is rain.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
No, there is blood, but you left up your shirt
and the wound has closed, but it's black.
Speaker 10 (42:14):
Oh.
Speaker 6 (42:15):
His first thought is I cost something. I've been infected
with something right, Like my skin is deteriorating. I there's
something eating my flesh and I'm going to die soon.
So he like panics and kind of steps into an
alley pretty alleyway and starts like tearing off his shirt
and his jacket. He like drops his bone in quaver
on the ground, starts undressing himself and is preparing to
(42:36):
like run back at the time and be like, we
gotta cut something out of me.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
As you start to panic, as that emotion fills your soul,
you get the mental image of the crossbow bolt that
struck you, shattering into a thousand pieces, followed by a
feeling of calm.
Speaker 6 (42:57):
Lucas will kinda like stop and look at his palms
and wipe the blood off on his jeans, and then
he'll look down at the wound, like put his arms
out and look down at the wound to like fully
observe what's going on.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
It's closed up. It's black. There's still blood from when
it was bleeding, and that's all you see so far.
So there's just a black dot there, yep, scar tissue. Absolutely,
it's still you know, like modeled and textured where it
went in you. But it is closed up, just black,
just black. Oh okay, I'll uh, I'll just mentally just
(43:32):
thank Brund and put my clothes back on, all right,
And that's where we'll go back to Kyle and crom
So you guys see herb walking to the back and
Jackie look at you too. This is the first time
you've ever seen him look at you without adoration. He
looks at you with It's not disappointments, it's a look
(43:54):
of being unsure, and he just walks to the back
to join herb.
Speaker 5 (44:00):
I walk up to worse crome.
Speaker 3 (44:02):
Chrama is probably still sitting near nearby, because that's what
the keg was.
Speaker 5 (44:07):
I go up to the keg that Chrama is probably
just leaning against or sitting on, because you can probably
just reach the hat better. It's tiny, grama ass, I
can imagine you could just sit on a keg.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
Are you talking about the healing one? Yeah, it was
a bucket. It was a bucket. Yeah, and they're still
liquid in there. Okay, so if you want to dive
into that, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (44:26):
I mean I do need like nine more the top.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
All yeah, go ahead, I need and do be clear.
It is beer.
Speaker 5 (44:32):
Oh I probably shouldn't go crazy on this.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
Yeah, it's a healing beer. He gave you guys a
while ago. Oh oh no, I went all out.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
Uh oh he literally drank from like four times.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
That's true. Uh, we'll do with that later.
Speaker 5 (44:47):
Maybe the black dots just a dream?
Speaker 1 (44:49):
Wait, what do I roll for that? Anyways? If I
started drinking it's fortitude, right, I would make you roll
a fort if you needed to. But that won't come
up unless you like try to do something dexterous or like,
you know, his whole person down his whole bill. Yeah,
I mean you know it doesn't last forever. You like
chugged three or four beers. It's not a huge Lucas
(45:11):
not saying four saying that bro's blackout drunk. I'd be
on the table, that's just it. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (45:18):
So I go up to crom As. I see him
kind of just guzzling down the healing beer. One more cup,
but it's a big bucket, So just imagine you just like,
So I got to him and put my hand on
his back. What's your reaction?
Speaker 3 (45:33):
Crumb like stops drinking and he kind of looks over
his shoulder at your arm and then up towards you,
and he kind of just he kind of just leaves
it be.
Speaker 5 (45:47):
Buddy, Oh, it's the wrong kind of beer. If you
want to get.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
Drunk, not trying to get drunk.
Speaker 5 (45:55):
Well, then can I have some.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
Wow moon?
Speaker 5 (45:58):
So that is, I pick up the bucket and I
put you on my shoulder. Do you accept?
Speaker 1 (46:05):
No?
Speaker 5 (46:05):
Oh, my heart, I take a drink from the bucket,
silently roll this solid at all, that's a joke. That's
going to be nine plus six right, fifteen.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
Yeah, you see Jack come out a moment later, and
he's got three tankers in his hands, comes up to
you guys, he hands you one each. Do you take Cromwell,
take it and then like set it on the table, okay,
And he takes a breath and he looks at you guys,
he goes, thank you, guys. I know Herb doesn't say that,
(46:41):
but he says it with his actions, and it's not
always easy to see that.
Speaker 5 (46:48):
He says a lot of things with those words, though, Yeah,
I heard what he said.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
Well, how well did you know the old Ravens.
Speaker 5 (46:57):
I knew they'd give their life for people that didn't know, right,
and they knew her for a long time.
Speaker 1 (47:05):
And I don't know. I don't know much. I'm still
pretty young, but I I don't know how much experience
you have with grief. But Herb is still grieving, and
he likes to put on a happy fit, no, a
curmudgeon face. But you know, he lost his friends and
(47:26):
they weren't employees. They worked for him, but that's no,
not really, they worked with him. They left, and he
thought he was just sending him off to go grab
another another artifact, and you guys show up and say
they're all dead. You know he's still working through that.
Speaker 5 (47:47):
But what about us? What about our home? What about
our family? How come we don't get to more? And
how can he gets to send us off on these
fucking missions and we do nothing, We get nothing in
return except for disbelief, get our asses kicked, and for
what from to belittle us? Say we're not worthy, say
we're not strong enough. And Jack, we're still grieving too.
Speaker 1 (48:08):
Kind of pulls down into himself, holding it in his tanker,
and he goes, I know that, I know you are,
and I don't know how to tell you how to
handle your grief. But the truth of it is, no
one held a crossbow to your head and said you
had to help her. He said you would to get
back at the people who caused your grief. Herb didn't
(48:29):
do that. You guys won.
Speaker 5 (48:31):
We didn't kill the ravens.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
I know that, and he knows that he doesn't blame
you for it.
Speaker 5 (48:36):
It feels like it why the constant belittling his demeanor
towards us, I might be overthinking it.
Speaker 1 (48:44):
He kind of smiles. He goes, I'm not laughing at you, man,
It's just that's just Herb. You know, have you seen
how he treats me? Yeah, you've heard how he talks
to me? Yeah? Does he talk to me worse than
he talks to you guys? No? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Kyle?
(49:06):
Look how bigger, how much bigger you are than me?
So why are his hurt his words hurting you more
than me?
Speaker 5 (49:11):
Because we're grieving.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Herb took me in when I had nobody else. Okay,
he has done so much for me, and he is
a cranky old kind of looks back at the door,
looks back, cranky old mastard. Okay, but when he loves somebody,
he will do anything he can for them, and he
might be mean. And I'm not trying to excuse him
(49:36):
being mean. Just because he's an asshole doesn't mean he
doesn't like you. And I get it, I get it.
Speaker 5 (49:42):
You know.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
He takes a big drink of his and he goes,
have either of you drink out of it? Yet, what
I'll Doug, Muggy, No, I'll take a goupes, not beer,
it's liquor, And he looks at you, he goes he
does care for you guys, you know, and he does
(50:03):
say things in his own way. Kyle, how often have
you had to clean your ax? None? Yeah, it's herb does.
When you set it down in the back and you
come out here to drink, he cleans it use as
an artifact. I don't know what he does, and I
wish you would stop because it's gonna fuck with him somehow,
but he wants to make sure it's clean.
Speaker 5 (50:23):
That was a Kyle laugh, by the way, you know.
Speaker 1 (50:25):
And Crom I don't know exactly what he does for you,
but I know he likes you because he always like
talks about something that you said that made him laugh.
And he doesn't laugh very well. He does, but it's
usually at people. You get what I'm saying. Wow, you know. Yeah,
And he's even like ordered a few hunting books and
local bird and wildlife books that they're going to be
(50:46):
shifted for Lucas. He doesn't talk his things. He doesn't.
And I don't know if you guys want to leave,
I totally understand you don't have the tattoos yet. It's
you're free to go. But if I can say it
as as just the assistant to this tavern and not
as anybody who has anything to do with your business
as the Ravens, because I'm not a raven. I don't
(51:08):
want you guys to go, but if you have to,
i'd understand. Just say bye first, I guess. He takes
another swig out of his mug.
Speaker 5 (51:17):
Sorry, Jackie, Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 1 (51:21):
Yeah, and I had to have the same talk with her,
and oh god, he's off to talk to but yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (51:28):
Of course me and I raised my tin heard and
I but grudgingly drink the whole thing because I can
see his reaction.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
I just down and it's strong liquor. It's it's like moonshin.
This is not something they give to patrons. This is
a sipping infants. They fucking died. And he asked you,
do you guys know where Lucas went, because that that
got really intense.
Speaker 5 (51:54):
He probably just went outside.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
Okay, I'll go look for him and if you can
tell him what I said. Guys, I don't really remember everything.
I said something.
Speaker 5 (52:02):
About books, birds and the local wowout for the hunting
and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
Yeah, I don't know when they'll be here, but herbs.
He had a pretty good like currier network, so I'm
sure they'll be here soon a couple of days probably,
if they're not already here. I haven't really checked the mail.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
On I look, I've heard of this car network.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
There's a bunch of women of the Amazon's check it goes. Yeah,
maybe the religion on the Prime. Let's let's go file Lorthless. Yeah.
I heard that they walk around the packages on their
heads so they can move faster. They always keep them up,
damn it. Anyways, he's like, I'm gonna go check on Herb.
(52:44):
I don't know if you guys noticed, and he picks
up the healing bucket. There's a you know, future stuff.
He's like, he hasn't drink out of this yet, the
old idiot. I'm tell him I said that, and he
kind of like carries a bucket into the back room.
Speaker 5 (52:55):
Come, I'll go find Lucas.
Speaker 1 (52:57):
Let's go find Lorthless.
Speaker 5 (52:58):
I walked towards the door that Lucas walked out of.
I grab the table and just throw it out of
the way.
Speaker 1 (53:03):
As soon as you get there, the door starts swing over.
There's that tramp who's right at the door. He's like, uh,
the old guy that Herb keeps yelling it because he
bugs him for another beer.
Speaker 5 (53:12):
He's like, we're closed, but boast so there's no beer.
Speaker 1 (53:19):
You guys are out of beer until morning. Oh you
can't brood one night. It's a long time.
Speaker 5 (53:25):
We're all out.
Speaker 1 (53:26):
Just come by tomorrow. And he kind of turns around.
Speaker 3 (53:31):
Hold on, Cromp's gonna quick out and me make like
alcohol just oh he grabs.
Speaker 5 (53:35):
Oh now, wait, drink that when you get home.
Speaker 1 (53:39):
Oh, I am home. He kind of just like looks
at the ground. What was her name? I'm crom Thank you. Hums. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (53:50):
He makes them another beer.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
He takes wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait.
Speaker 5 (53:57):
One second, I run up to my room. Uh huh,
And I'd imagine that tent that we got from that camp.
Speaker 1 (54:03):
You never brought it, Yeah we did.
Speaker 5 (54:05):
Because we didn't bring it, I could have swore. I
listened that we picked it up and care input in there.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
I listened to that episode today. I listened to it
was twelve bulk, dude, you picked it up. You're like,
I'm gonna carry it on my shoulder. And then Kirby
was like, yeah, twelve bulk, you go. Never mind.
Speaker 6 (54:21):
So we were supposed to take it because we were
maybe you give inventories.
Speaker 1 (54:25):
But you give him a bedroll if you want.
Speaker 5 (54:27):
Yeah, alright, that was gonna be such a cool moment.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
Yeah, man, I remember some Atha Amazons.
Speaker 5 (54:35):
Now, I don't think the Federal Express will allow that.
Speaker 1 (54:37):
Fuck you, that was my joke.
Speaker 6 (54:41):
You're stealing my ship again.
Speaker 5 (54:46):
Sorry, I can't read your mind.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
Not run damn. Oh wow, that that hurts.
Speaker 5 (54:51):
I run up to my room and I grab a
bedroll in my pillow.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
While you're gone, he's looking at you coming, so you're
like a wizard.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
Oh no, i'm I'm I'm a I'm a i'm.
Speaker 9 (55:03):
A who can all albums do magic?
Speaker 1 (55:08):
No?
Speaker 9 (55:08):
Well, I don't know, but my goblin friends. You guys
make food.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
M if I if I had a.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
You got a new food inside?
Speaker 5 (55:29):
Runs inside. I run outside. Here, here's a pillow, a bedroll,
and you know, stay.
Speaker 1 (55:35):
Warm, man, and he grabs.
Speaker 5 (55:37):
I don't know where this this storm came out of nowhere.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
Yeah, it's still thundering and storming outside. You got any there?
Speaker 5 (55:46):
Actually, I do have a quick alchemy one that you
gave me. Well, it was only less today, Yeah, it
was today, was yes, it was this it was in
the morning.
Speaker 1 (55:55):
He's three for one. Hey, take.
Speaker 5 (56:02):
Saving Throw twenty one. Oh my god, he weren't awake.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
It was gonna be like alcohol poisoning eight dead.
Speaker 5 (56:11):
Oh no, Herb will probably thank you in the morning.
A chrome will come back outside.
Speaker 3 (56:17):
He's got like a boss.
Speaker 9 (56:25):
He kind of just shambles off like Shane Well the
Domald just little the boss at the back door.
Speaker 1 (56:33):
Let's go, let's go five lotless. Okay, what's Lucas doing.
Speaker 6 (56:37):
Uh, he's long gone, long gone at this point. He's
kind of just fed up with what's going on in
the moment since unfortunately he didn't talk to his teammates.
He feels that they're letting themselves being taken advantage of
by Herb. So he's walking straight out.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
To the edge of town. I imagine, past the edge
of town, at the edge of some field. I imagine
because I don't think I've seen the map of this city,
but I imagine you looked at a map you went in.
Oh okay, yeah, so I imagine it feels like the third episode.
Speaker 6 (57:10):
Yeah, I'd probably start walking towards farmland if anything. Okay,
just start walk out to the edge of the field
and just sit in the quiet.
Speaker 1 (57:17):
He's making some decisions, right now, okay, so we'll go
to crom Kyle. Would you guys say that you know
you've known him long enough to know where he would
have gone.
Speaker 5 (57:28):
I would go as far as to say that we
know that he's either going to go to the nearest lake,
but not when it's storming, because when it's storming, you're
not going to catch any good fish, and that's normally
what he does to kind of relax. So we would
think he would go somewhere where it's just kind of open.
So we'd think either like again, like either a farm
or like a big field or something where he can
(57:51):
just be in nature without going too far in the storm.
Speaker 1 (57:56):
All right, So I would say, after a while, Lucas,
you hear some foot steps coming up from behind you.
Kyle Crom I would say, you guys probably looked at
one of the maps that are posted around town, find
the closest, like most direct line to farmland, and assumed,
you know, knowing your friend, and you hit it out
that direction. You guys walk up and you see Lucas
(58:16):
sitting at the edge of the field that's still raining.
Lightning is happening around you, and every time a lightning
strike happens, Kyle, you know that sense when you are
on the verge of remembering something that's not quite there.
That's what you feel has every lightning bolt hits noted
(58:37):
something on the horizon. You guys walk up see your
friend at the edge of the grass, knowing that he
has a lot to deal with, and that's it's gonna
be where we end this episode. Thanks for listening to
join us for the next one. In the next one,
